In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Cedric Alexander defeated A.R. Fox in 18:07 by pinfall with an Atomic Wedgie Bomb. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe in attendance not really knowing anything about A.R. Fox. Nevertheless, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander picked up the all-important victory here after hitting A.R. Fox with his Atomic Wedgie Bomb finishing maneuver, building momentum heading into the TLC Pay-Per-View this Sunday where Cedric Alexander will join Rey Mysterio in challenging Buddy Murphy for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in a Triple Threat match.

Tonight’s episode of WWE 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to the show. JBL announces that tonight’s main event tag team match will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy teaming up with Enzo Amore to take on the team of Chad Gable and Rich Swann. The WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy then makes his way to the ring and retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Buddy Murphy receives a tirade of boos from the WWE Universe in attendance with many also holding their nose to symbolize the stench of Buddy Murphy, who looks and smells like a “Bum” again tonight. The Australian Buddy Murphy enters the ring and says that he doesn’t care what the WWE Universe think about him because he is the WWE Cruiserweight Champion and will retain his title this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View in a Triple Threat match against both Cedric Alexander as well as the masked coward known as Rey Mysterio, who once again is scared to show his face on 205 Live. Buddy Murphy then turns his attention to tonight’s tag team match and suggests that as he has beaten both Chad Gable and Rich Swann in singles non-title main event matches for the past few weeks, the stakes should be raised tonight. Buddy Murphy suggests that if he is able to pin ether Rich Swann or Chad Gable tonight, then whoever gets pinned should be terminated from 205 Live. Cedric Alexander then comes to the ring with a microphone of his own and says that he is standing this close to Buddy Murphy despite the stench emanating from Murphy to tell him that he will win back his WWE Cruiserweight Championship this Sunday. Buddy Murphy then scowls before leaving the ring and heading to the back as 205 Live heads to its first commercial break of the evening.

Following another commercial break we cut backstage to find Chad Gable looking into a camera with a serious look on his face. Chad Gable says that on behalf of his tag team partner Rich Swann tonight, he accepts the challenge laid out by the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy for tonight’s tag team main event. Chad Gable reiterates that if Buddy Murphy is able to pin or submit either Chad Gable or Rich Swann tonight then whoever is pinned or made to submit will have their 205 Live contract terminated, and Chad Gable says that the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield can go ahead and make that official. Chad Gable says that the WWE Universe will see the Chad Gable tonight that competed for the United States of America in the 2012 Olympics in London and then went on to learn the Lucha Libre style in Mexico, and that there is no way that Chad Gable is losing his 205 Live roster spot tonight after working so hard for it. Chad Gable says that both Buddy Murphy and his partner Enzo Amore should get ready because Chad Gable is Ready, Willing and Gable.

This match was too long given who was involved with some members of the WWE Universe not yet convinced on the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. However, as Buddy Murphy pinned Chad Gable to win tonight’s main event for his team, Chad Gable’s 205 Live contract is now terminated.

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line for the second week in a row as AJ Styles will defend the title against former WWE United States Champion Bobby Roode. Last week on SmackDown following days of complaining about not getting enough opportunities on social media Tye Dillinger was given a shot at the WWE Championship, with AJ Styles beating Dillinger in the main event to make his first successful title defence in last week’s main event. For the past few days Bobby Roode has also been complaining about a lack of opportunities as of late which has led to Eva Marie giving Roode a shot at the WWE Championship tonight. The winner of tonight’s main event will go on to defend the title in a Ladder match against Christian this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Non-Title: WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar versus Tyler Breeze & Knuckles Madsen

Tag team action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar” in non-title competition against the “Team Gorgeous” pairing of Tyler Breeze and Knuckles Madsen. Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Randy Orton versus Yoshi Tatsu

The WWE United States Champion Randy Orton will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on Yoshi Tatsu in a non-title match. Orton has come across as a bit of a “Racist” on social media as of late and shouldn’t take the Japanese Yoshi Tatsu for granted tonight.

The holder of the Friday Night SmackDown Money in the Bank briefcase, Kevin Owens, will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on Braden Walker. Tables, ladders and chairs can all legally be used as weapons in this match. Brock Lesnar has been the WWE Universal Champion since June when he defeated in the inaugural Universal Champion Kevin Owens on Monday Night RAW and since then has gone on to make five successful title defences. Even Brock Lesnar’s in-ring mentor Billy Gunn has admitted to the WWE Universe recently that this will be Brock’ toughest title defence thus far as Brock will have to take out all three members of the Shield to pick up the all-important victory and leave with the Universal Championship.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Braun Strowman

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on the Shield’s Braun Strowman in non-title action. Last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View the “Beast” Brock Lesnar defeated three Shield members in Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns and William Regal in the evening’s Fatal Four-Way Tables, Ladders and Chairs match when Brock Lesnar retrieved the Universal Championship hanging high above the ring to retain his title. An all-important victory for Braun Strowman tonight, albeit in non-title competition, could well lead to Strowman getting a future title opportunity in the future. Brock Lesnar has taken the spirit of the British Bulldog and the in-ring mentorship of Billy Gunn and dominated 2014 and the WWE Universe has only seen Lesnar pinned once since becoming the Universal Champion back in June, that pinfall defeat was at the hands of Roman Reigns in a Traditional Survivor Series Eliminated match last month.

WWE RAW Tag Team Championships: Dogs of War © versus AOP versus Gable & Glorious

Last week at the TLC Pay-Per-View the Dogs of War pairing of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre became the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions for the second time after winning the Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Chairs match also featuring the former Champions Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, the Authors of Pain of Akam and Rezar as well as the One Percenters Derrick Bateman and Andrade “Cien” Almas. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Ziggler and McIntyre will put their titles on the line in a Triple Threat tag team match against the AOP as well as the new team of Chad Gable and Bobby Roode who were victorious in their debut match as a team last night against Danny Burch and Troy McClain.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Seth Rollins © versus Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose betrayed Seth Rollins last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View in an act that shocked the WWE Universe when Ambrose hit Rollins in the back with a steel chair which led to Rollins and Ambrose losing their WWE RAW Tag Team Championships. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Seth Rollins will put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line against his former friend Ambrose.

Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Sugar Dunkerton

Pete Dunne defeated Uncle Elgin last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View to successfully retain his WWE United Kingdom Championship. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Pete Dunne will take on Sugar Dunkerton in non-title action.

Bray Wyatt versus Kane

Two former World Champions will go head to head tonight on Monday Night RAW as Bray Wyatt will take on the masked monster known as Kane. Bray Wyatt has been claiming to have a “Braveheart” on social media as of late and will have to muster that courage in order to defeat Kane.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey versus Rosa Mendes

Last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View Ronda Rousey became the new WWE Divas Champion in her first ever match as she beat both Sasha Banks as well as former Divas Champion Alexa Bliss in a Triple Threat match. Billy Gunn says that last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar succeeded in his toughest test yet as he defeated three Shield members in Roman Reigns, William Regal and Braun Strowman in the evening’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs main event after retrieving the Universal Championship hanging high above the ring. Billy Gunn says that the sight of Brock Lesnar standing on a ladder with his title last night is a metaphor for the entire WWE Universe as Brock Lesnar stands well above the rest of the roster. Billy Gunn says that his client Brock Lesnar is happy that the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox has put him in tonight’s non-title main event against Braun Strowman as he will get another opportunity to take out Braun Strowman, who may well have the Undertaker on his mind after the Undertaker threatened Strowman via a spooky video message last night. Derrick Bateman then makes his way to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own in hand and announces that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View next month his partner Andrade “Cien” Almas will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

However, despite their new manager Michael Hayes being at ringside, the AOP were the first team eliminated after Drew McIntyre pinned Akam Dhinsa following the Claymore Kick. Ezekiel Jackson shows why he is a “Bad Ass” as he dominates most of this match whereas the Egomaniac Kyle O’Reilly tries to stay away from Ezekiel Jackson as much as he can. Eventually Curtis Axel is able to put Ezekiel Jackson with a Perfect Plex to score the pinfall whilst Kyle O’Reilly was laid out on the outside of the ring at the hands of Ezekiel Jackson.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Rich Swann

The main event of tonight’s episode of 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on Rich Swann in non-title action. This past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Buddy Murphy made his first successful title defence after beating both Cedric Alexander as well as the masked Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat match after Buddy Murphy pinned Cedric Alexander following Murphy’s Law whilst Mysterio was on the outside of the ring. The Fan Favourite Rich Swann as well as his friend Cedric Alexander have mocked Buddy Murphy in recent weeks due to the Australian Murphy’s lack of personal hygiene and have claimed that Buddy Murphy looks like a “Bum”. However, despite his personal hygiene issues nobody can doubt Murphy’s success in the ring and Murphy is undefeated since beating Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight Championship on 205 Live last month. Tonight’s main event is a rematch from two weeks ago when Murphy beat Rich Swann in 205 Live’s non-title main event. Last week Buddy Murphy teamed with Enzo Amore to defeat Rich Swann and Chad Gable with the stipulation being that the loser of the match would lose their 205 Live contract, and Buddy Murphy pinned Gable in the main event last week in what would be Gable’s final 205 Live appearance before moving to Monday Night RAW. An all-important victory for Rich Swann in tonight’s main event could well lead to Rich Swann getting a future title opportunity, and the WWE Universe will certainly be on Swann’s side tonight.

Chris Jericho versus Chavo Guerrero

Two veterans and former Cruiserweight Champions will go head to head tonight on 205 Live as the “Cheeky Monkey” who loves to have fun, “Y2J” Chris Jericho will take on Chavo Guerrero, who in recent weeks has told anybody that will listen that he is the CEO of 205 Live, despite the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield stating on commentary that he has no recollection of appointing Chavo in any managerial position whatsoever.

Jay Briscoe versus A.R. Fox

The “Redneck” Jay Briscoe picked up his first victory on 205 Live last week against Noam Dar after Jay Briscoe lost to Epico in his 205 Live debut the week before. Tonight Jay Briscoe will look to pick up another win as he goes one on one with A.R. Fox, a “Cocky” Superstar whose last match on 205 Live came all the way back in August when he defeated the “Japanese Buzzsaw” Tajiri in A.R. Fox’s 205 Live debut. Both of these Superstars will be looking to end the year on a high note with a victory here heading into the new year.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Rich Swann

Chris Jericho versus Chavo Guerrero

Jay Briscoe versus A.R. Fox

<strong>Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Kalisto</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kalisto defeated TJ Perkins in 18:28 by pinfall with a Rising Sun. TJ Perkins seemed off his game tonight in this pre-show match that went the distance against the masked Kalisto. It would appear that Kalisto has the greater physical conditioning and seemed to have the number of TJ Perkins tonight. Kalisto picks up the all-important victory here after hitting his Rising Sun finishing maneuver.</p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus Epico</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Cedric Alexander defeated Epico in 17:50 by pinfall with a Spear. The small man dressed in a bull costume, El Torito, accompanied his handler and former WWE Tag Team Champion Epico to ringside for this match. El Torito acted “Emotionless” at ringside as he just stood still watching the match. Perhaps the lack of encouragement was what led to Epico failing to get the win here as the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander pins Epico following a Spear to get the victory.</p><p>

<em>Tonight’s edition of 205 Live begins with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to the show. Scott Stanford thanks the WWE Universe for their thoughts and well wishes following his assault at the hands of Big Show this past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View. JBL then announces that tonight’s main event will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy taking on Rich Swann in non-title action. The Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy then comes to the ring which prompts some members of the WWE Universe at ringside to hold their noses indicating that Murphy smells bad. Buddy Murphy takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that this past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View he beat both Cedric Alexander and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat match to successfully retain his WWE Cruiserweight Championship for the first time. Murphy says that he doesn’t care what anybody thinks about him, and that the WWE Universe may feel that Murphy looks like a “Bum” but Murphy is just showing off his Australian hairstyle. Buddy Murphy says that the masked loser Rey Mysterio will likely never show his face on 205 Live now that he has failed to win the Cruiserweight Championship from the greatest cruiserweight in the world, Buddy Murphy. The Cruiserweight Champion continues by saying that last week on 205 Live he won the main event tag team match to drive Chad Gable out of 205 Live and that tonight he will once again defeat Rich Swann. Cedric Alexander then joins Murphy in the ring and retrieves a microphone of his own from ringside. Cedric says that people don’t call Murphy a “bum” because of his long hair; they call him that because he smells like a public toilet. Cedric Alexander then announces that he spoke to JBL earlier today and at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View next month Cedric will challenge Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship in a one-on-one match. Murphy holds his title high above his head before leaving the ring and heading to the bac as 205 Live heads to its first commercial break of the evening.</em></p><p>

<strong>Chris Jericho versus Chavo Guerrero</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Jericho defeated Chavo Guerrero in 7:34 by pinfall with a Code Breaker. Chris Jericho looked great tonight and will represent 205 Live in the men’s Royal Rumble match next month.</p><p>

<em>As Chris Jericho celebrates his victory in front of the WWE Universe in attendance, Ricardo Rodriguez comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand to introduce his client, Adrian Neville. The first Cruiserweight Champion of the 205 Live era Neville then takes the microphone from Rodriguez. Neville says that he should be the one representing 205 Live in the Royal Rumble match, not a washed up loser like Jericho. Neville says that he is “Cocky” but he knows he can back it up. Neville says that he will teach “Y2J” a lesson right now. Neville rushes into the ring and looks to attack Jericho but the “Cheeky Monkey” Jericho sidesteps and Neville goes flying out of the ring. Neville gets to his feet looking very embarrassed as we cut to another commercial break.</em></p><p>

<em>Following the commercial break we cut backstage to find a dejected looking El Torito trying to reach the buttons on a vending machine to order a snack. <strong>Jay Briscoe versus A.R. Fox</strong></p><p>

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Jay Briscoe defeated A.R. Fox in 8:13 by pinfall with a Double Underhook Piledriver. Jay Briscoe looked impressive in victory tonight against A.R. Fox.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Following a commercial break JTG comes to ringside and immediately walks up to the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield at the commentary table. JTG says that he is fed up of people like Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann being given opportunities whereas the original “Gangsta” JTG is left in the back. JBL says he will think about JTG’s comments.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy making final preparations before tonight’s main event when his opponent Rich Swann approaches him. Rich Swann says that tonight he will prove that he is not just a Fan Favourite, but that he has what it takes to carry this division.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: F+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Following a commercial break Cedric Alexander comes to the ring to join the 205 Live commentary team at ringside for tonight’s main event. <strong>Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Rich Swann</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Buddy Murphy defeated Rich Swann in 12:29 by pinfall with a Murphy's Law. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>

<strong>WWE World Heavyweight Championship: AJ Styles © versus Colin Cassady</strong></p><p>

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles put his title on the line against Colin Cassady. This past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View AJ Styles defeated Christian in a Ladder match to make his third successful title defence since winning the WWE Championship from Jinder Mahal in a Hell in a Cell match back in October. We also saw Colin Cassady burst into the office of the SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie this past Sunday and demand the next shot at the WWE Championship, to which Eva Marie promptly ordered Colin Cassady to leave her office. However, AJ Styles, as well as being the “Franchise Player” of Friday Night SmackDown, is a fighting WWE Champion and has agreed to put his title on the line tonight for the fourth time in just three weeks. Tonight will be Cassady’s first match on SmackDown since August but an all-important victory tonight could see him entering the new year as the new WWE Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>US Championship: Randy Orton © versus Andy Leavine versus Alexander Rusev versus Jinder Mahal</strong></p><p>

Randy Orton will put the WWE United States Championship on the line tonight on Friday Night SmackDown in a Fatal Four-Way match against Andy Leavine, Alexander Rusev and former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. This past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Randy Orton made the third successful defence of his US Championship since winning the title back at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in October. Orton pinned Andy Leavine this past Sunday after a Running Punt to the head in a Fatal Five-Way match that also included Jinder Mahal, Shinsuke Nakamura and the SmackDown Money in the Bank briefcase holder, Kevin Owens.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar versus Prime Time Players</strong></p><p>

Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, successfully made their second successful defence of their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships this past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View when they put both Jimmy and Jey Uso through tables to win their Tables match. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown The Bar will take on the Prime Time Players of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil in non-title action.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ryback versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens</strong></p><p>

Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank briefcase holder Kevin Owens failed his attempts to win the WWE United States Championship this past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View but the “Bad Ass” Kevin Owens remains undefeated on SmackDown since winning the Money in the Bank briefcase back in June. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown Kevin Owens will take on the former Intercontinental Champion Ryback.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kofi Kingston versus Kenneth Cameron</strong></p><p>

The man with deadly feet, the “Knock-Out Artist” Kofi Kingston will compete in singles competition tonight on Friday Night SmackDown for the first time since October as he will take on Kenneth Cameron, a “Cocky” Superstar from England who is yet to pick up his first victory on SmackDown and was last seen losing to Mark Henry back in September.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch © versus Asuka versus Carmella</strong></p><p>

Last but certainly not least, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship will be on the line tonight as Becky Lynch will defend the title in a Triple Threat match against both Asuka as well as Carmella. Becky Lynch beat Carmella last month on Friday Night SmackDown to end Carmella’s title reign and also beat Carmella to retain the title for the first time this past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View.</p><p>

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch © versus Asuka versus Carmella</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Summer Rae versus Nicole Matthews</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Summer Rae defeated Nicole Matthews in 17:36 by submission. <strong>Match Rating: E-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Woods & Steamboat defeated The Bludgeon Brothers in 18:24 when Xavier Woods defeated Erick Rowan by pinfall with a Lost in the Woods. Xavier Woods has a dreadfully stale character, a change is really needed. It would appear that many members of the WWE Universe are bored with seeing Xavier Woods in his current persona. Nevertheless, Xavier Woods still picked up the win for his team here after pinning Erick Rowan.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Damien Sandow versus Byron Saxton</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Damien Sandow defeated Byron Saxton in 18:08 by pinfall with a Terminus. Percy Watson accompanied his partner Byron Saxton to ringside for this match but it was Sandow who picked up the victory.</p><p>

<em>Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles making his way to the ring. AJ receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. AJ Styles says that he is the “Franchise Player” of Friday Night SmackDown and that he proved that again this past Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View when he defeated Christian in their Ladder match to retain the WWE Championship. AJ Styles says that just as he climbed a ladder to retain his title this past Sunday, AJ has climbed to the top of the WWE in just three months. AJ says that he is willing to put his WWE Championship on the line against any competitor from any corner of the globe, and that AJ looks forward to defending his WWE Championship against Colin Cassady in tonight’s main event. AJ says that Colin Cassady went crying to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie begging for a title opportunity and AJ is willing to give Cassady the title shot tonight. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own in hand. Christian says that he isn’t done with AJ Styles and will soon have one more match with AJ and Christian vows that 2015 will be the year that Christian becomes the new WWE Champion at AJ’s expense.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch © versus Asuka versus Carmella</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Asuka defeated Becky Lynch and Carmella in 8:27 when Asuka defeated Carmella by submission with a Passion Clutch. Asuka wins the WWE SmackDown Women's title. Becky Lynch seemed off her game tonight which led to Becky losing her title tonight as Asuka threw Becky to the outside of the ring before forcing Carmella to tap out as Asuka becomes the new WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion for the very first time.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>As Asuka celebrates her title win in front of the WWE Universe a disappointed Carmella and a distraught looking Becky Lynch make their way to the back. <strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Colin Cassady in the office of the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie. <strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Naomi and Layla arguing about which of them will win the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match as they both announce that they will be participating in the match next month. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Derrick Bateman

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on Derrick Bateman in non-title action. Brad Maddox said that as this is the first Monday Night RAW of the new year the WWE Universe will witness a main event that has never taken place before with Lesnar taking on Bateman for the very first time. Last week on RAW as Brock Lesnar was in the ring with his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn the pair were interrupted by Bateman, who came to the entrance-way and announced that his partner Andrade Cien Almas will challenge Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month. An all-important victory for Derrick Bateman tonight could well lead to the momentum moving into the favor of his “One Percenters” partner Almas heading into the Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Gable and Glorious versus Authors of Pain (Akam Dhinsa and Rezar Selmani)

Last week on Monday Night RAW the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, now known to the WWE Universe as “Gable and Glorious”, became the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions as they defeated the former RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre as well as the Authors of Pain pairing of Akam Dhinsa and Rezar Selmani in a Triple Threat Elimination tag team match. Tonight on RAW Roode and Gable will take on the Authors of Pain in a non-title match.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose versus Zack Ryder

Dean Ambrose ended 2014 on a high last week on Monday Night RAW as he defeated his former friend Seth Rollins to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion for the second time in his career. Tonight Ambrose will take on Zack Ryder in non-title competition.

Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Sugar Dunkerton

The WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne defeated Sugar Dunkerton in quick time last week on Monday Night RAW and it was also announced that Dunne will be one of the participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Tonight on RAW Pete Dunne will face Dunkerton again in another non-title match.

Royal Rumble Qualifying Match: Brodus Clay versus Killian Dain

Two large men will go head to head tonight on Monday Night RAW as Brodus Clay will take on Killian Dain with a spot in the men’s Royal Rumble match on the line. With Superstars from Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown and 205 Live all looking to compete in the Royal Rumble match, places are limited but the winner of this match will be guaranteed a spot.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey versus Raquel Diaz

Finally, the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will take on the daughter of the late, great WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, Raquel Diaz, tonight on Monday Night RAW in a non-title match. Ronda Rousey was victorious against Rosa Mendes in her first ever match on RAW last week and will look to pick up another win here.

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from Show Me Center (MO) 5,375 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Mia Yim versus Nia Jax

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Nia Jax defeated Mia Yim in 18:09 by pinfall. Unfortunately a hot crowd was against Nia Jax, chanting for her to not come back. It would appear that many members of the WWE Universe have no interest in seeing Nia Jax compete even months after she made her Monday Night RAW debut late last year. Both Mia Yim and Nia Jax will be competing in the women’s Royal Rumble match later this month and Nia Jax built some momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match by picking up the all-important victory here.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Dogs of War (Ziggler & Drew McIntyre) versus Resurrection (Matt Hardy & Luke Gallows)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Dogs of War defeated Resurrection in 17:39 when Drew McIntyre defeated Luke Gallows by pinfall with a Zig Zag Claymore Combination. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler took up their positions at ringside prior to this tag team match taking place which saw the team of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre defeat the Resurrection pairing of Matt Hardy and Luke Gallows.

Match Rating: C

Pre-Show: Santino Marella versus Jack Swagger

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jack Swagger defeated Santino Marella in 18:20 by submission with a Patriot Lock. Unfortunately Santino Marella and Jack Swagger just don’t click at all as opponents and it showed in their performances here.

Match Rating: D

Tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring. Brock Lesnar is joined by his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn who retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Billy Gunn addresses the WWE Universe by saying that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Brock Lesnar will defeat Andrade Cien Almas to once again retain his WWE Universal Championship before going on to defend the title again in the main event of WrestleMania. Billy Gunn continues by saying that he is pleased that the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox has given Brock Lesnar the chance to go one on one with Andrade’s friend and tag team partner Derrick Bateman in tonight’s non-title main event. Billy Gunn says that Andrade and Bateman like to call themselves the “One Percenters”, but that there might not even be one percent of Bateman left after Brock Lesnar takes him all the way to “Suplex City” tonight. Billy Gunn says that last week on RAW Brock Lesnar single handedly took out and defeated the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman so he can only imagine what Brock is capable of against Bateman tonight. Derrick Bateman then makes his way to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and says that he will beat Brock Lesnar tonight and weaken him sufficiently enough for his friend Andrade to take the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Ronda Rousey defeated Raquel Diaz in 7:26 by pinfall. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus TJ Perkins

The main event of the first edition of 205 Live of 2015 was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on the “Fan Favourite” TJ Perkins in non-title competition. Last week on 205 Live as Buddy Murphy was bragging to the WWE Universe about his achievements since becoming the WWE Cruiserweight Champion back In November Murphy was interrupted by the former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander who announced that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Cedric Alexander will challenge Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric Alexander made many members of the WWE Universe laugh last week when he told Murphy that Murpy isn’t called a “Bum” because of his long hair but because the Australian smells like a public toilet. Alexander then watched at ringside as Buddy Murphy defeated Rich Swann in last week’s non-title main event. An all-important victory for TJ Perkins tonight, albeit in non-title action, could well lead to TJ Perkins getting a future title opportunity. A victory for TJ Perkins won’t be an easy task however as Buddy Murphy is undefeated since beating Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight Championship back in November. However, Buddy Murphy is yet to beat TJ Perkins and TJ Perkins actually holds a victory over Murphy having beaten Murphy back in September in Buddy Murphy’s second match on 205 Live.

Chris Jericho versus A.R. Fox

Last week on 205 Live during a victory over Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho was announced as being a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month. Following the “Cheeky Monkey” Y2J’s victory for Chavo, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville came out to say that he should be the one representing 205 Live in the Royal Rumble match. Neville then handed the microphone to his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez and rushed into the ring to attack Jericho only for Y2J to sidestep Neville and send the former Cruiserweight Champion flying outside of the ring. Chris Jericho returns to action tonight on 205 Live as he will take on A.R. Fox.

Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero

Following a loss against Chris Jericho last week, the self-proclaimed “CEO” of 205 Live Chavo Guerrero will return to action against Eric Young, who is making his 205 Live debut tonight. The Canadian Eric Young debuted inside the NXT Arena at NXT Reckless Abandon last October as he failed to win the NXT Championship from Curtis Axel in a Triple Threat match also involving Kyle O’Reilly and Eric Young defeated Evan Bourne back in November in his last appearance in NXT at NXT Coming Storm. The WWE Universe should be excited to see the “Fun Babyface” Eric Young make his 205 Live debut tonight.

Cedric Alexander then makes his way to the ring to a decent reaction from the WWE Universe in attendance. Cedric retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and says that late last year he tasted success as he started the “Age of Alexander” when he won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. However, says Cedric, that reign came to a premature end as Buddy Murphy deservedly beat Cedric in November to win the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric Alexander says that whilst he is proud to be a Fan Favourite with the WWE Universe, everyone knows that Buddy Murphy is just an arrogant “Bum” who needs a good shower and someone to tell him that he isn’t in fact the greatest Cruiserweight of all time. Cedric Alexander says that he hopes that Buddy Murphy will have the whole of his native Australia cheering him on from home at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month because Cedric will surely have the entire WWE Universe on his side and promises to win back the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric says that he looks forward to watching Murphy take on TJ Perkins in tonight’s non-title main event before Cedric leaves the ring and heads to the back as we cut to our first commercial break of the evening.

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s NXT Downward Spiral:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>

<strong>Johnny Gargano versus Roderick Strong</strong></p><p>

The main event of tonight’s NXT Downward Spiral special event was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and will see the “Cocky” Johnny Gargano go one on one with the “Bad Ass” Roderick Strong. Last month at NXT Something to Prove, Roderick Strong made his in-ring NXT debut as he teamed with Evan Bourne to take on the team of Johnny Gargano and Ricochet. Roderick Strong showed the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena just how strong and devastating his attacks can be as he man-handled both Gargano and Ricochet for large portions of the match before Evan Bourne tagged himself in only for Bourne to be pinned by Ricochet after Gargano took out Roderick Strong on the outside. Gargano spent some time last year competing in front of the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW last year so has the big match experience edge over Roderick Strong in this one. Both of these competitors will be looking to do all they can to impress the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and perhaps be the next to challenge Curtis Axel for the NXT Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NXT North American Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Ricochet</strong></p><p>

Also tonight at NXT Downward Spiral, Ezekiel Jackson will put the NXT North American Championship on the line against the high-flying Ricochet, who proved to be a big “Fan Favourite” with the NXT Universe when he made his debut inside the NXT Arena last month as he picked up the victory in the evening’s tag team main event. Ezekiel Jackson has now head the NXT North American Championship for a full calendar year after winning the title from Adam Pearce at last year’s Downward Spiral exactly a year ago today and in that time Jackson has made eight successful title defences.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ted DiBiase versus Adam Pearce</strong></p><p>

Ted DiBiase will make his NXT Arena in-ring debut tonight as he will go one on one with the first ever NXT North American Champion Adam Pearce. Ted DiBiase will be sure to be a “Fan Favourite” amongst the NXT Universe as he looks to rejuvenate his career following a spell on Friday Night SmackDown when the last time DiBiase won a singles match on SmackDown was a win against Dolph Ziggler back in September of 2013.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Sin Cara versus Steven Walters</strong></p><p>

The high-flying masked “Gangsta” of NXT Sin Cara will go one on one with Steven Walters tonight after Sin Cara’s impressive Fatal Four-Way victory at last month’s NXT Something to Prove event when Sin Cara defeated Walters, Camacho and Boone Sparrow.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Camacho versus Tommaso Ciampa </strong></p><p>

Tommaso Ciampa is certainly a “Bad Ass” and showed the NXT Universe why he is considered so tough when he defeated Adam Pearce in his NXT debut back in July of last year at NXT Road to Revolution. After that Ciampa competed on 205 Live and was last seen on Enzo Amore’s losing team at Survivor Series. Tommaso Ciampa returns to NXT tonight and will take on Camacho in singles competition.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Aiden English versus Boone Sparrow</strong></p><p>

Aiden English sees himself as a “Movie Star” for his good looks and acting abilities, and Aiden English will likely be feeling confident in the ring tonight against recent WWE Performance Centre graduate Boone Sparrow, who is yet to pick up a win since making his NXT debut back in October of last year at NXT Reckless Abandon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Alesteir Black versus Samuel Stewart</strong></p><p>

Alesteir Black likes to dress up in green as an “Alien Invader” of some sort but his skills inside the ring cannot be denied. That being said, Alesteir Black has lost both of his NXT matches thus far, both of which have been tag team encounters. Tonight Alesteir Black will make his singles debut against Samuel Stewart.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tyler Bate versus Trent Seven</strong></p><p>

The first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate will go one on one with his fellow countryman Trent Seven tonight. “True Born” Tyler Bate made his NXT debut back in November of last year at NXT Coming Storm following a spell competing on Monday Night RAW in which Bate reigned as the WWE United Kingdom Champion before losing the title to current UK Champion pete Dunne back at Summerslam last year.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Aksana versus Alicia</strong></p><p>

Finally, women’s division action tonight will see the Lithuanian “Diva” Aksana go one on one with the self-proclaimed “Bitch” Alicia, who made her NXT debut back in November of last year at NXT Coming Storm where Alicia and Shayna Baszler failed to defeat the Team Brilliance pairing of Eve Torres and Charlotte as Eve and Charlotte once again successfully retained their NXT Tag Team Champonships.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

NXT Downward Spiral (Live from Central Florida Fairgrounds (FL) 2,000 in Attendance)

Tyler Bate versus Trent Seven

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tyler Bate defeated Trent Seven in 8:18 by pinfall with a Tyler Driver 97. Tonight’s NXT Downward Spiral special event begins with the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and his broadcast partner Rikishi welcoming the live television audience to the show. Jim Cornette notes that tonight’s main event will see Johnny Gargano take on Roderick Strong in Strong’s first ever singles match in NXT. Tyler Bate, the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion, then makes his way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena. Jim Cornette notes that tonight is the biggest attendance in NXT history. Tyler Bate is impressive in tonight’s opening contest and picks up the all-important victory over his fellow Englishman Trent Seven after hitting the Tyler Driver 97.

Match Rating: E-

Highlights are shown from the final NXT UK show of last year, NXT UK Overload when Demi Bennett from Australia made her debut appearance and told NXT UK General Manager John Chapman that she hopes to have an NXT UK Women’s Championship to compete for soon. Later in the evening Sebastian Knight defeated Alexander Rock to retain the NXT UK Midlands Heavyweight Championship and in the main event Andy Boy Simmonz defeated Darren Burridge.

Rating: D-

Alesteir Black versus Samuel Stewart

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Alesteir Black defeated Samuel Stewart in 8:23 by pinfall with a Black Mass. Alesteir Black was once again dressed all in green and looking like an “Alien Invader” but still received a decent ovation from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the NXT Arena tonight. In his first ever NXT singles match, Alesteir Black picked up the win here after pinning Samuel Stewart following the Black Mass kick.

Match Rating: E-

Aksana versus Alicia

In an extremely poor match, Aksana went to a time limit draw with Alicia in 20:00 when the time limit expired. The Lithuanian “Diva” Askana took on the self-proclaimed “Bitch” Alicia in women’s division action next with Aksana looking to continue to build momentum following her win against Emma at last month’s NXT Something to Prove event. Unfortunately it’s safe to say that the real losers in this one were the NXT Universe who had to sit through twenty minutes as Aksana and Alicia went to a twenty minute time limit draw.

Match Rating: E

Aiden English versus Boone Sparrow

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Aiden English defeated Boone Sparrow in 12:55 by pinfall with an Elbow Drop. Aiden English sees himself as a “Movie Star” and entertained the WWE Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena here before Aiden English hit Boone Sparrow with an Elbow Drop for the win.

Match Rating: E+

Camacho versus Tommaso Ciampa

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Tommaso Ciampa defeated Camacho in 13:21 by pinfall with The Fairytale Ending. Tomasso Ciampa looked to be a complete “Bad Ass” here in Ciampa’s first NXT appearance since a victory over Adam Pearce in July of last year. Ciampa defeats the much larger Camacho here as the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes on commentary that Ciampa looks focused and Ciampa signals to Cornette that he wants to be the next one to challenge Curtis Axel for the NXT Championship.

Match Rating: D-

Sin Cara versus Steven Walters

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Sin Cara defeated Steven Walters in 13:38 by pinfall with a Senton Splash. The masked “Gangsta” of NXT Sin Cara receives a decent reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena as he takes on Steven Walters here. Sin Cara certainly had the experience advantage having spent a few years competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Sin Cara has been competing on NXT for over a year now since losing to Wade Barrett in his first NXT match back in November of 2013 and Sin Cara has won all of his matches since a loss to Bobby Roode back at NXT Instant Classic in September of last year. Sin Cara continues his impressive run with a victory over Steven Walters tonight following an impressive Senton Splash.

Match Rating: D

NXT North American Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Ricochet

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Ricochet defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 7:35 by pinfall with a 630 Splash. Ricochet wins the NXT North American Championship. Since impressing the NXT Universe in his NXT debut last month, Ricochet has become an immediate “Fan Favourite” inside the NXT Arena. Ricochet was able to overcome the much larger “Bad Ass” Ezekiel Jackson tonight following a 630 Splash as Ricochet becomes the new NXT North American Champion, ending the reign of Ezekiel Jackson after exactly one year.

Match Rating: D+

Ted DiBiase versus Adam Pearce

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Ted DiBiase defeated Adam Pearce in 8:21 by pinfall with a Dream Street. Ted DiBiase was a “Fan Favourite” amongst the NXT Universe tonight as they hope to see his career get back on track in NXT. DiBiase got to a good start tonight by defeating the first ever NXT North American Champion Adam Pearce.

Match Rating: D+

Johnny Gargano versus Roderick Strong

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Roderick Strong defeated Johnny Gargano in 18:22 by pinfall with an Avalanche Backbreaker. Roderick Strong was a “Bad Ass” and dominated large portions of tonight’s main event until the “Cocky” but highly talented Johnny Gargano started to fight back. In what both NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and Rikishi on commentary agreed was the greatest match in NXT history, Roderick Strong finally defeated Gargano following an Avalanche Backbreaker from the top rope.

Match Rating: B-

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Luke Gallows

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Brock Lesnar will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Andrade Cien Almas and Brock Lesnar soundly defeated the “One Percenters” tag team partner of Andrade, Derrick Bateman, in last week’s RAW non-title main event. Tonight is a big opportunity to Luke Gallows to impress the WWE Universe as well as Brad Maddox and an all-important victory for Luke Gallows could well lead to a future championship opportunity. However, Brock Lesnar has been victorious in the main event of Monday Night RAW every single week since beating Kevin Owens to begin his reign as Universal Champion last June.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable versus Authors of Pain

The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, known to the WWE Universe as “Gable and Glorious” will take on the Authors of Pain pairing of Akam Dhinsa and Rezar Selmani in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW. These two teams faced off in non-title action last week on RAW with Bobby Roode forcing Akam to tag out to pick up the submission victory for his team. The Authors of Pain will likely have their manager Michael Hayes with them at ringside again.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose versus Jason Jordan

The WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose will take on Jason Jordan in a non-title match tonight on Monday Night RAW. Ambrose will likely be looking to inflict pain on Jason Jordan tonight with Jordan being a close friend and former tag team partner of Seth Rollins, who Ambrose betrayed back at the TLC Pay-Per-View last year.

Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Wesley Blake

Later this month Pete Dunne will be one of the thirty participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match but before then the WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will take on Wesley Blake tonight on Monday Night RAW in a non-title match.

Zack Ryder versus Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns will join his Shield brothers William Regal and Braun Strowman in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month but not before Roman Reigns takes on Zack Ryder tonight on Monday Night RAW.

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey & Bella Twins vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes & Sexy Star

Finally, the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will team up with Brie and Nikki, the Bella Twins, in six women tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Sexy Star. Last week on Monday Night RAW following a victory over Raquel Diaz, Rousey was celebrating in front of the WWE Universe before Sasha Banks rushed to the ring to attack Rousey before the former Champion Alexa Bliss rushed to the ring to make the save. After Sasha Banks fled the ring, Alexa announced that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Ronda Rousey will put the RAW Women’s Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks.

<strong>WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from Joseph J. Gentile Center (IL) 5,200 in Attendance)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: AJ Lee versus Cheerleader Melissa</strong></p><p>

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, AJ Lee defeated Cheerleader Melissa in 17:46 by pinfall with a Shining Wizard. AJ Lee seemed off her game tonight which led to Cheerleader Melissa dominating most of this pre-show women’s division match that went the distance. However, despite being off her game, the former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee was still able to pick up the all-important victory here after hitting Cheerleader Melissa with her Shining Wizard finishing maneuver.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Dogs of War (Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre) versus Jack Swagger and Tensai</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Dogs of War defeated Swagger & Tensai in 18:05 when Drew McIntyre defeated Tensai by pinfall with a Zig Zag Claymore Combination. Tensai was visibly tiring towards the end of this match which led to the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre focusing their offense on Tensai for the majority of the match before finally putting him away with the Zig Zag Claymore Combination double team.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Bray Wyatt versus Kenny King</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Bray Wyatt defeated Kenny King in 18:16 by pinfall with a Standing Senton Splash. Bray Wyatt was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to get the win here.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring. Lesnar receives a great ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance as he is accompanied tonight by his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn. Once Brock is in the ring Billy Gunn retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Billy Gunn says that in just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar will defeat Andrade Cien Almas to continue his reign as the WWE Universal Champion before going on to WrestleMania where he will conquer whoever dares to challenge the “Beast”. Billy Gunn says that in last week’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event Brock Lesnar soundly defeated the “One Percenters” tag team partner of Andrade, Derrick Bateman, and that was surely Bateman’s first and last main event on RAW. Billy Gunn continues by thanking the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox for giving Brock another opportunity to assert his dominance tonight as Brock Lesnar will take on Luke Gallows in tonight’s non-title main event. Billy Gunn says that he looks forward to witnessing Brock Lesnar take on and defeat a larger opponent in Gallows tonight before going on to send Andrade Cien Almas all the way back to Mexico when he beats him at the Royal Rumble. Derrick Bateman then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and says that whilst Brock Lesnar is having Billy Gunn talk him up on RAW, Andrade is in Mexico training harder than he ever has before and that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Andrade Cien Almas will become the new WWE Universal Champion.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey & Bella Twins vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes & Sexy Star</strong></p><p>

In an extremely poor match, Ronda Rousey and The Bella Twins defeated Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Sexy Star in 5:54 when Ronda Rousey defeated Rosa Mendes by submission with an Armbar. Unfortunately a pretty vocal crowd didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Ronda Rousey wrestle tonight as the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey joined forces with Nikki and Brie, the Bella Twins, to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Sexy Star. It would appear that some members of the WWE Universe don’t feel that Ronda Rousey deserves to be the RAW Women’s Champion having been competing in the company for such a short time. Nevertheless, Ronda Rousey picks up the win for her team here after forcing Rosa Mendes to tap out.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Following her victory Ronda Rousey shakes hands with both Bella Twins before Nikki and Brie head to the back. As the RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey stands in the ring alone, Sasha Banks once again sneaks into the ring and looks to attack Ronda before Alexa Bliss comes to make the save. Sasha flees to the back as Alexa stares at the Championship in Rousey’s hands. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Ronda Rousey will defend the RAW Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat match against both Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable versus Authors of Pain</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Gable & Glorious defeated Authors of Pain in 7:19 when Bobby Roode defeated Rezar Selmani by pinfall with a Double Glorious DDT. Michael Hayes once again accompanied the Authors of Pain pairing of Akam Dhinsa and Rezar Selmani to ringside for this match but it was the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Roode and Gable that were victorious following a Double Glorious DDT to Selmani.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Following their victory the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable celebrate in front of the WWE Universe. Chad Gable takes a microphone and says that he is sure the two of them will have each other’s back in the Royal Rumble match. Bobby Roode smiles at Gable.</em></p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Mick Foley looking into the camera. The WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley says that whilst he never won a Royal Rumble match he had plenty of great moments at the Royal Rumble and says that he is looking forward to watching this year’s event.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: B-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose versus Jason Jordan</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Dean Ambrose defeated Jason Jordan in 6:48 by pinfall with a Headlock Driver. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “the King” Lawler all agree that Dean Ambrose looked impressive tonight but Lawler says that Dean Ambrose will have to watch out for his former friend Seth Rollins in the Royal Rumble match.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Kaitlyn walking out of the office of the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and she has a smile on her face when she is approached by Nia Jax, who asks Kaitlyn what she’s so happy about. Kaitlyn says that she’s just been confirmed as one of the entrants in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Nia Jax then pushes Kaitlyn up against the wall and says that nobody will stand in Nia’s way in the women’s Royal Rumble match.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: F+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe in attendance. Heyman retrieve s a microphone from the ringside area and says that at the Royal Rumble he will watch on like a proud father as one of the Superstars from the group that Heyman created, the Shield, will win the men’s Royal Rumble match. Seth Rollins then comes to the ring and says that he was one of the original members of the Shield but now he is a lone man and doesn’t have to listen to Heyman’s vitriol anymore. Seth Rollins says that the Shield was originally created by Heyman to get back at Brock Lesnar after Lesnar left Heyman for Billy Gunn and that things will come full circle soon when Rollins wins the Royal Rumble match and proves he doesn’t need anyone else. Seth Rollins then stands up to Heyman who backs down and leaves the ring.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Wesley Blake</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Pete Dunne defeated Wesley Blake in 5:43 by pinfall with a Bitter End. The Monday Night RAW commentary team all continue to agree that Pete Dunne is a dark horse in the men’s Royal Rumble match.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Kharma and Ayako Hamada arguing about who will win the women’s Royal Rumble match, with both thinking that they will be the one to win. <strong>Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut to the office of the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox to find Dolph Ziggler telling Maddox that even though Ziggler has been underappreciated on RAW for the past few months, Ziggler won last year’s Royal Rumble and will do it again this year.</em></p><p>

<em>Triple H and Stephanie McMahon then enter the office of the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and Dolph Ziggler quickly leaves. Triple H tells Maddox that they are here to check on things after Sasha Banks once again tried to attack Ronda Rousey earlier this evening.</em></p><p>

<strong>Zack Ryder versus Roman Reigns</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Roman Reigns defeated Zack Ryder in 7:53 by pinfall with a Moment of Silence. Michael Cole says that the Shield may well dominate the Royal Rumble match but Jerry “the King” Lawler argues that there are twenty-seven other participants in the match too.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>As Roman Reigns celebrates his victory in the ring, he is joined by his Shield brother William Regal, who takes a microphone and points at the downed body of Zack Ryder in the ring and says that should be a lessen to anyone who thinks they can stop the Shield.</em></p><p>

<em>Roman Reigns and William Regal stand over the beaten Zack Ryder before they are joined by the third member of the Shield Braun Strowman, who has his manager and mentor Finlay by his side. <strong>Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Luke Gallows</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Brock Lesnar defeated Luke Gallows in 17:47 by pinfall with an F-5. Unfortunately there were times when there was a definite lack of psychology on display and the match had a tendency to drift a little.</p><p>

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Eric Young

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on Eric Young in non-title action. In just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, the Australian Buddy Murphy will put his WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against former Champion Cedric Alexander. Eric Young impressed many members of the WWE Universe with his victory over Chavo Guerrero last week in what was Young’s 205 Live in-ring debut and an all-important victory for Eric Young tonight, albeit in non-title competition, could well lead to Eric Young being given a future title opportunity. Eric Young is a “Fun Babyface” who the WWE Universe really got behind last week but he faces a tough test in Buddy Murphy, the Cruiserweight Champion who defeated TJ Perkins in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event after TJ Perkins referred to Buddy Murphy as a smelly “Bum” earlier in the show. Buddy Murphy is undefeated since beating Cedric Alexander back in November of last year on 205 Live to become the new Cruiserweight Champion and has since then been victorious in the main event of 205 Live for the past five weeks in a row. Buddy Murphy’s last defeat came at the hands of Chris Jericho at last year’s Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in mid-November.

Chris Jericho versus Kalisto

The “Cheeky Monkey” Chris Jericho will take on the masked Kalisto for the very first time tonight on 205 Live. Chris Jericho will be representing the 205 Live brand in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month. Y2J has competed in several Royal Rumble matches but has yet to taste victory. Kalisto is a controversial Superstar due to his choice of dress, wearing a white mask that looks a bit like that of a KKK member. Tonight will be Kalisto’s first match on 205 Live since a loss to TJ Perkins back in September of last year. Chris Jericho, on the other hand, was victorious over A.R. Fox last week and is undefeated since making his 205 Live debut back in August of last year.

Jay Briscoe versus Kzy

The self-proclaimed “Redneck” Jay Briscoe has impressed many members of the WWE Universe since making his 205 Live debut late last year and tonight will take on another relative newcomer to 205 Live in the Japanese Kzy. Making his 205 Live debut with a victory over his fellow countryman Tajiri back in November of last year, Kzy is a true “Punk” and lives the punk lifestyle constantly and dresses the same way.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Eric Young

Chris Jericho versus Kalisto

Jay Briscoe versus Kzy

WWE 205 Live (Live from Olney Central College (IL), 1,000 Sell Out in Attendance)

Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Simon Gotch

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Simon Gotch in 18:09 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. Unfortunately this match was far too long given who was involved with many members of the WWE Universe failing to care about Simon Gotch despite him having previously appeared on 205 Live. Nevertheless, TJ Perkins picks up the all-important victory here after the “Fan Favourite” Perkins forced Simon Gotch to tap out following a Figure Four Deathlock.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus Chavo Guerrero

In an extremely poor match, Rich Swann defeated Chavo Guerrero in 18:21 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. Two of the members of the 205 Live commentary team, Scott Stanford and former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman, took up their positions at the commentary table prior to this pre-show match taking place. In a match that went the distance, another “Fan Favourite” of the WWE Universe Rich Swann defeated “Latino Heat” Chavo Guerrero after Rich Swann hit Chavo with a Tornado Spin Kick to pick up the pinfall victory.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus A.R. Fox

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Cedric Alexander defeated A.R. Fox in 17:51 by pinfall with a Spear. Unfortunately this match was also too long given who was involved with the majority of the WWE Universe yet to be interested in A.R. Fox.

Match Rating: D-

Tonight’s edition of 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, Billy Kidman and 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to the show as JBL announces that tonight’s main event will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in non-title action against Eric Young. Cedric Alexander is then seen standing in the ring holding a microphone. The WWE Universe in attendance seem pleased to see Cedric as Alexander says that in just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will defeat Buddy Murphy to once again become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander says that he appreciates that he can still feel the love from the WWE Universe in every single arena but that he is not content as the Age of Alexander ended far too soon after Buddy Murphy beat Cedric Alexander last November to win the Cruiserweight Championship. Cedric Alexander says that everyone knows that Buddy Murphy is a “Bum” that smells bad and needs to wash his hair but that the Australian Murphy is also very talented and that Cedric Alexander says that he needs to be at his best to beat him to win back the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. The WWE Universe in attendance seem to be fully behind the “Fan Favourite” Cedric Alexander as he says that he will be paying close attention to Buddy Murphy’s match with Eric Young tonight before Cedric Alexander leaves the ring and heads to the back as 205 Live cuts to its first commercial break of the evening.

Rating: E+

Chris Jericho versus Kalisto

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Jericho defeated Kalisto in 8:20 by pinfall with a Code Breaker. Chris Jericho came out of the match looking good as the “Cheeky Monkey” Chris Jericho entertained the WWE Universe with his antics before finally putting the masked Kalisto away with a Code Breaker. We cut backstage to find the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy doing some exercising before tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event. Murphy’s opponent tonight, Eric Young, then approaches Buddy Murphy holding his nose. Eric Young says that it’s true what they say about Buddy Murphy, he really does smell like a “Bum”. Buddy Murphy says that Eric Young can make jokes all he wants but that tonight Eric Young has been given a gift by the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield in a chance to be in the ring with the greatest Cruiserweight in the world in Buddy Murphy. Jay Briscoe versus Kzy

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Jay Briscoe defeated Kzy in 7:28 by pinfall with a Double Underhook Piledriver. Jay Briscoe once again impressed tonight as the “Redneck” had the WWE Universe fully behind him in this match against the “Punk” Kzy whose hairstyle seems to be getting wilder by the week. Briscoe eventually put Kzy away with a Double Underhook Piledriver.

We cut backstage to find the Englishman Mark Haskins waiting outside the office of the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield when he is approached by the Scotsman Noam Dar, who asks Haskins why he’s bothering to wait for JBL when everyone can see JBL is busy at the commentary table. Noam Dar says that he thinks that Dar and Haskins aren’t going to be given anything here and that they would be stronger if they work together. Haskins shakes Dar’s hand and the two walk away together as we cut to our final commercial break of the evening.
