The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Tye Dillinger

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles take on Tye Dillinger in non-title action. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown as AJ Styles was addressing the WWE Universe, he was interrupted by Christian who announced that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month AJ Styles will put the WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian and a returning Daniel Bryan. The “Turncoat” Tye Dillinger turned his back on AJ Styles last month when Dillinger joined Christian and the Bludgeon Brothers in an attack on AJ Styles before Dillinger challenged AJ for the WWE Championship in the main event of that episode of SmackDown. AJ Styles beat Dillinger last month to retain his title but an all-important victory for Tye Dillinger tonight could well lead to him getting another title opportunity in the future.

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) © versus The Uso’s

The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships will be on the line tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, will put their titles on the line against the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso. Sheamus and Cesaro became SmackDown Tag Team Champions for the first time back in November of last year after beating for the former Champions Big E and Kofi Kingston in a Triple Threat tag team match also involving the Bludgeon Brothers.

WWE United States Championship: Randy Orton © versus R-Truth

The WWE United States Championship will also be on the line tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as Randy Orton will put his title on the line against the “Rebel” who loves to have a good time, R-Truth. Orton is enjoying his first reign as United States Champion having won the title back at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View last October.

Justin Gabriel versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens

Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens will take on the high-flying “Thrill Seeker” Justin Gabriel tonight on Friday Night SmackDown. The “Bad Ass” Kevin Owens will be hoping to build momentum tonight before he goes on to participate in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month.

John Cena versus Erick Rowan

John Cena will compete on Friday Night SmackDown for the first time since last November tonight when he will take on Erick Rowan of the Bludgeon Brothers. Last week on SmackDown John Cena told the WWE Universe that he will be competing in the men’s Royal Rumble match in a few weeks.

SD Women’s Champion Asuka, Summer Rae & Rain vs. Layla, Nicole Matthews & Madison Eagles

Last but certainly not least, a six-woman tag team match will take place tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as the SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka will team up with Summer Rae and Rain to take on the team of Layla, Nicole Matthews and Madison Eagles. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Asuka will put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Paige. Last week on SmackDown following a tag team victory, Asuka was celebrating in front of the WWE Universe only for Paige to rush to the ring and look to attack Asuka before Asuka grabbed Paige’s arm and locked her in a submission maneuver before Paige eventually managed to escape.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from MassMutual Center (MA), 5,318 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Naomi versus Tamina

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Naomi defeated Tamina in 18:25 by pinfall with Nightfalls. Naomi and Tamina have great chemistry as opponents and it showed in both of their performances tonight in a pre-show women’s division match that went the distance. Both of these women will be competing in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match later this month so naturally both women wanted to pick up momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match. Naomi ultimately picked up the all-important victory here after hitting Tamina with her Nightfalls finishing maneuver.

Match Rating: E

Pre-Show: Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston versus Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Big E & Kofi defeated Prime Time Players in 17:42 when Kofi Kingston defeated Darren Young by pinfall with a Big Ending. Big E Langston is starting to become a little stale in his current role and some members of the WWE Universe were a bit bored with Big E tonight but they remained behind Kofi Kingston for the majority of the match. Big E hit a Big Ending on Darren Young before taking out Titus O’Neil on the apron and allowing Kofi to pin Darren Young to get the win for his team.

Match Rating: C-

Pre-Show: Damien Sandow versus Luke Harper

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Luke Harper defeated Damien Sandow in 18:03 by pinfall with a Piledriver. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker took up their positions at ringside prior to this match getting started and witnessed Luke Harper defeat Damien Sandow with a Piledriver.

Match Rating: D+

Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles making his way to the ring. AJ Styles receives a tremendous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance as he retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. AJ says that last week Christian informed the entire WWE Universe that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in just a few weeks, AJ Styles will put the WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian as well as the returning Daniel Bryan. AJ says that he knew Daniel Bryan well before either man came to the WWE and that whilst Daniel Bryan had a fleeting run as WWE Champion a few years ago, he then took his ball and went to Japan. AJ Styles says that since making his WWE debut last year he has quickly become the “Franchise Player” of Friday Night SmackDown. AJ suggests that both Christian and Daniel Bryan watch tonight’s non-title main event when AJ Styles will once again beat Tye Dillinger. AJ thanks the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie for getting a chance to perform again tonight against that “Turncoat” Dillinger who attacked him last month. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and suggests that he and AJ work together against Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble before finally settling their own business. AJ doesn’t say anything as Christian smiles and heads to the back.

Rating: D

SD Women’s Champion Asuka, Summer Rae & Rain vs. Layla, Nicole Matthews & Madison Eagles

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Asuka, Summer Rae and Rain defeated Layla, Nicole Matthews and Madison Eagles in 5:58 when Asuka defeated Nicole Matthews by pinfall with a Billiken. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team all agree that Asuka looked unstoppable tonight as she came in the ring and took out all three of her opponents comfortably as her team mates watched on. Asuka looks determined heading into her SmackDown Women’s Championship defence against Paige at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month. Asuka pinned Nicole Mathews following the Billiken to win the match for her team.

Match Rating: D-

Following her victory Asuka celebrates alone in front of the WWE Universe as the other women all head to the back. Paige then rushes to the ring and looks to attack Asuka from behind again only for Asuka to side step and grab Paige by the hair before Paige once again squirms away and flees the ring. Asuka seems to have Paige’s number ahead of their SmackDown Women’s Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

Rating: E

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) © versus The Uso’s

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Uso's defeated The Bar in 11:43 when Jey Uso defeated Sheamus by pinfall with an Alley-Us. The Uso's win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team titles. Robbie Brookside accompanied his protégés, the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, to the ring for this title match and offered vocal instructions throughout the match. However it was Jimmy and Jey Uso who got the win here and are once again the new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Match Rating: C+

We cut backstage to find Kelly Kelly applying make-up when Carmella walks by and laughs, saying Kelly should focus on her make-up because she won’t stand a chance at eliminating Carmella in the women’s Royal Rumble match. The two women then start arguing until Big Show walks past and both Kelly and Carmella quieten down.

Rating: D

We see a video hyping the former Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine and showcasing his impressive performances on Friday Night SmackDown last year. The announcers say that Andy Leavine will return to action soon.

Rating: E-

WWE United States Championship: Randy Orton © versus R-Truth

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Randy Orton defeated R-Truth in 10:52 by pinfall with an RKO. Randy Orton makes defence number 6 of his WWE United States title. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team agree that R-Truth looked impressive in defeat tonight and may be worthy of a rematch with Orton down the line.

Match Rating: C-

Following his victory Randy Orton celebrates above the fallen R-Truth before Jinder Mahal comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that Orton can beat losers like Andy Leavine and R-Truth but could not defeat Jinder Mahal in singles competition. Alexander Rusev then also comes to the entrance-way and says that he wants another shot at the United States Championship, and it would appear that Orton has many challengers in waiting.

Rating: D-

Following a commercial break the Miz makes his way to the ring and grabs a microphone from ringside. The Miz says that it’s great to be back on Friday Night SmackDown and officially announces himself as a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match. The Miz says that competition like Xavier Woods and Richie Steamboat will be no problem for him.

Rating: D+

Justin Gabriel versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kevin Owens defeated Justin Gabriel in 7:03 by pinfall with a Package Piledriver. Unfortunately Justin Gabriel and Kevin Owens just don’t click at all as opponents and it showed in their performances here.

Match Rating: D-

The WWE Universe are shocked as Shane McMahon makes his return to the WWE after many years away. Shane McMahon is wearing a suit as he takes a microphone and says that he is a member of the “High Society” and that means that he is better than everyone else. Shane McMahon announces that he is entering himself into the men’s Royal Rumble match. Maxine then comes to the ring and says that she is sure that Shane has power around here, and asks Shane if she can have a spot in the women’s Royal Rumble match. Shane McMahon says that her wish is granted and Maxine gives Shane a kiss on the cheek.

Rating: D

John Cena versus Erick Rowan

In a match that had some good action and average heat, John Cena defeated Erick Rowan in 7:21 by submission with an STF. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team agree that Cena should be one of the favourites in the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Match Rating: C-

We cut backstage to a dejected looking Xavier Woods starting into a camera. Xavier Woods says that last week on SmackDown he lost the non-title main event match to AJ Styles and that tonight he and his partner Richie Steamboat were mocked by the Miz. Woods says that something has to change and warns Riche Steamboat that it will be every man for himself in the Royal Rumble match.

Rating: E-

Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Tye Dillinger

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, AJ Styles defeated Tye Dillinger in 13:28 by pinfall with a Spiral Tap. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that AJ looked focused tonight heading into his title defence against both Christian and Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble.

Match Rating: C-

Post-Show: Fandango versus Percy Watson

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Fandango defeated Percy Watson in 13:30 by pinfall with a Flying Legdrop. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team remained at ringside to watch this one.

Match Rating: D-

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Matt Hardy

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on Matt Hardy in non-title competition. In the main event of last week’s edition of RAW, Brock Lesnar defeated Matt Hardy’s “Resurrection” tag team partner Luke Gallows in non-title action. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Brock Lesnar will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Andrade Cien Almas. Last week on Monday Night RAW Brock Lesnar’s in-ring mentor Billy Gunn told the WWE Universe that Brock Lesnar will beat Andrade at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View and send him all the way back to Mexico. Brock Lesnar defeated Matt Hardy in non-title main events on RAW twice last year, and will be looking for a hat-trick of victories tonight. However, an all-important victory for Matt Hardy tonight could well lead to Matt Hardy getting a future title opportunity.

WWE RAW Tag Team Championships: Gable and Glorious © versus The Revival (Dawson and Wilder)

The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, known to the WWE Universe as “Gable and Glorious”, will put their titles on the line tonight against the newly formed team of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, who have let it be known on social media that they wish to be referred to as “The Revival”. Dash Wilder had mixed success competing on NXT last year under the name Steven Walters, and will make his main roster debut in a huge match tonight as Roode and Gable put their titles on the line for the first time since winning them late last year.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose © versus Bobby Lashley

The WWE Intercontinental Championship will also be on the line tonight on Monday Night RAW as Dean Ambrose will put his title on the line against a returning Bobby Lashley, who tonight will compete in front of the WWE Universe for the first time in seven years.

Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Fatsuhiko Nakajima

The WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will be one of the thirty participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month but before then Pete Dunne will take on Fatsuhiko Nakajima in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW.

Dolph Ziggler versus Judas Devlin

Last year’s winner of the Royal Rumble match, Dolph Ziggler, told the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox that he has been underappreciated for too long and vowed to win the Royal Rumble match for the second year in a row. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Dolph Ziggler has a chance to impress as he will take on Judas Devlin.

RAW Women’s Champ Rousey, Angel Williams & Jessie McKay vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa & Raquel Diaz

Last but certainly not least, the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will team up with Angel Williams and Jessie McKay tonight on Monday Night RAW to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Raquel Diaz in a six-woman tag team match. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Ronda Rousey will look to make her first successful title defence since becoming the new RAW Women’s Champion back in December of last year as she will put her title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks. Last week on RAW Sasha Banks looked to attack Ronda Rousey before Alexa Bliss rushed to the ring to make the save.

<strong>WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from MassMutual Center (MA) 5,738 in Attendance)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Nikki Bella versus Sexy Star</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Nikki Bella defeated Sexy Star in 18:14 by pinfall with a Bella Buster. Unfortunately this pre-show women’s division match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe not really caring about Sexy Star despite her having competed on Monday Night RAW multiple times last year. Nevertheless, Nikki Bella picked up the all-important victory here after hitting Sexy Star with her Bella Buster finishing maneuver.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Team CoBro (Santino Marella and Zack Ryder) versus Jack Swagger and Tensai</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Team CoBro defeated Swagger & Tensai in 18:27 when Zack Ryder defeated Jack Swagger by submission. Tensai was visibly tiring towards the end of this tag team match as Tensai teamed with Jack Swagger to take on the team of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, known to the WWE Universe as “Team CoBro”. Tensai being so tired meant that Zack Ryder was able to force Swagger to tap out here to win the match for his team before Tensai could make it into the ring to help his partner.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Seth Rollins versus Curt Hawkins</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Seth Rollins defeated Curt Hawkins in 18:07 by pinfall with a Phoenix Splash. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler took up their positions at ringside prior to this match which saw Seth Rollins pick up a win.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring. Lesnar receives a great ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance as he is flanked by his in-ring mentor Billy Gunn, who retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Billy Gunn says that in just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, Brock Lesnar will defeat Andrade Cien Almas to once again successfully retain the WWE Universal Championship before going on to defend the title in the main event of WrestleMania. Billy Gunn then thanks the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox for giving Brock Lesnar another chance to take a helpless victim to “Suplex City” tonight when Brock Lesnar will face Matt Hardy in tonight’s non-title main event. Billy Gunn says that last week’s RAW non-title main event saw Brock Lesnar defeat Luke Gallows and that tonight will see Gallows’ tag team partner Matt Hardy receive the same treatment at the hands of the “Beast” Brock Lesnar. Derrick Bateman then makes his way to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own in hand and says that his partner Andrade Cien Almas is still training in Mexico and that he is more than ready to take the WWE Universal Championship from Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RAW Women’s Champ Rousey, Angel Williams & Jessie McKay vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa & Raquel Diaz</strong></p><p>

In an extremely poor match, Ronda Rousey, Angel Williams and Jessie McKay defeated Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Raquel Diaz in 5:45 when Ronda Rousey defeated Rosa Mendes by submission with an Armbar. The WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey teamed up with Angel Williams and the Australian known as Jessie McKay tonight on Monday Night RAW to take on the trio of Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes and Raquel Diaz in a six-woman tag team match. Unfortunately the pretty vocal crowd didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Ronda Rousey wrestle; it would appear that large sections of the WWE Universe aren’t ready to accept Rousey as RAW Women’s Champion. Nevertheless, Ronda Rousey forced Rosa Mendes to tap out to win the match for her team here.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Following her victory and after all of the other women have head to the back, Ronda Rousey celebrates alone in the ring in front of a lukewarm WWE Universe before Sasha Banks rushes to the ring and looks to attack Ronda Rousey from behind before Alexa Bliss also rushes to the ring to make the save. Sasha Banks retreats as Alexa Bliss stares down the RAW Women’s Champion. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Ronda Rousey will put the RAW Women’s Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE RAW Tag Team Championships: Gable and Glorious © versus The Revival (Dawson and Wilder)</strong></p><p>

In an extremely poor match, The Revival defeated Gable & Glorious in 9:23 when Scott Dawson defeated Bobby Roode by submission. The Revival win the WWE RAW Tag Team titles. The newly formed team of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, who wish to be referred to by the WWE Universe as “The Revival”, challenged Bobby Roode and Chad Gable for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships in their debut match as a team. Dash Wilder had a pack of cards and set of casino chips as he walked to the ring, looking like a “Dealer”. Scott Dawson forced Bobby Roode to tap out here as the Revival became the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage following a commercial break to find the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson and Dash wilder celebrating their title victory. Santino Marella walks into the room and challenges the Revival to a title match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View on behalf of Santino and his partner Zack Ryder. Dash Wilder pushes Santino to the floor and accepts the match when Zack Ryder walks into the room and tells Wilder he will regret putting his hands on his best friend when Santino and Ryder become the new RAW Tag Team Champions at the Royal Rumble.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose © versus Bobby Lashley</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Dean Ambrose defeated Bobby Lashley in 8:55 by pinfall with a Headlock Driver. Dean Ambrose makes defence number 1 of his WWE Intercontinental title. Bobby Lashley made his return to the WWE tonight and still looked like a “Legitimate Athlete” and dominated most of the match before Ambrose was able to come away with the victory after managing to hit his patented Headlock Driver.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Following his victory the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose quickly makes his way to the back as the WWE Universe applaud the efforts of Bobby Lashley. Suddenly, Kassius Ohno rushes to the ring and launches a barrage of elbows into the skull of Bobby Lashley before leaving the ring and muttering that he has destroyed the WWE Universe’s new toy.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne versus Fatsuhiko Nakajima</strong></p><p>

In an extremely poor match, Pete Dunne defeated Fatsuhiko Nakajima in 6:16 by pinfall with a Bitter End. Michael Cole and Jerry “the King” Lawler both agree on commentary that Pete Dunne may be a dark horse in the men’s Royal Rumble match later this month.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey being approached by Alexa Bliss, who says that it will be every woman for themselves when Ronda puts the title on the line against both Bliss and Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble. Sasha Banks then rushes into the room and she is joined by Bayley and the two attack Ronda and Alexa and a brawl soon breaks out between the four women that has to be broken up by officials.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dolph Ziggler versus Judas Devlin</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Dolph Ziggler defeated Judas Devlin in 5:39 by submission with a Sleeper. Unfortunately Dolph Ziggler and Judas Devlin don’t seem to click as opponents and it made for an awkward bout here.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find an enraged looking Bayley pacing up and down the corridor following the brawl Bayley and Sasha had with Ronda Rousey and Alexa Bliss earlier. Evie approaches Bayley and asks her why she’s helping out Sasha Banks all of a sudden and Bayley loses control and slaps Evie before walking away.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: F</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Matt Hardy</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Brock Lesnar defeated Matt Hardy in 15:40 by submission with a Kimura Lock. Brock Lesnar and Matt Hardy have pretty good chemistry as opponents and it lifted the match as Brock Lesnar once again won in the RAW main event.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Post-Show: Bray Wyatt versus Leo Kruger</strong></p><p>

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Evan Bourne

The main event of tonight’s edition of 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on the high-flying Evan Bourne in a non-title match. Evan Bourne will be making his 205 Live in-ring debut tonight after spending a few months at the end of last year competing on NXT where he was known as an “Every-Man”, a regular man who doesn’t see himself as better than anybody else. As well as having experience competing in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena, Evan Bourne also has several years of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW where he was a former WWE Tag Team Champion with Kofi Kingston. Last week on 205 Live Evan Bourne accidently spilled coffee on Dustin Rayz who seemed furious, and Bourne will be hoping to pick up the all-important victory tonight to make a better impression in his new home and potentially earn a future title opportunity. Bourne will face a tough test in the Australian Buddy Murphy, however, who seems fully focused on his defence of his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against the former Champion Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in just a few weeks. Buddy Murphy was victorious in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event against Eric Young after Eric Young called Murphy a “Bum” earlier in the evening.

Jay Briscoe versus Bobby Fish

Bobby Fish, a man who prides himself on having “No Gimmick Needed”, will make his in-ring return to 205 Live tonight for the first time since December of last year when Bobby Fish defeated Tajiri in a successful 205 Live in-ring debut. Bobby Fish was originally brought into 205 Live by Enzo Amore to be Amore’s back up but if social media is to be believed then Bobby Fish will be looking to stand out on his own a bit more this year. Tonight Bobby Fish will take on the “Redneck” Jay Briscoe, who has impressed the WWE Universe since also making his 205 Live debut last December.

Eric Young versus Oliver Grey

Following his loss to the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event match, Eric Young will look to bounce back tonight as he will take on the returning Oliver Grey. The Englishman Oliver Grey is an “Old School Heel” who loves to rile up the WWE Universe and is the “British Ambition” tag team partner of the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville. Tonight will be Oliver Grey’s first match on 205 Live since a loss to Chris Jericho back in November of last year.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Evan Bourne

Jay Briscoe versus Bobby Fish

Eric Young versus Oliver Grey

WWE 205 Live (Live from Webster Theater (CT), 1,061 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus A.R. Fox

In an extremely poor match, Rich Swann defeated A.R. Fox in 17:56 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with most of the WWE Universe still not really caring about A.R. Fox despite Fox having made sporadic appearances on 205 Live last year. Nevertheless, Rich Swann picked up the all-important victory here in a pre-show match that went the distance after Rich Swann pinned A.R. Fox following his Tornado Spin Kick finishing maneuver.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Kalisto

In an extremely poor match, Kalisto defeated TJ Perkins in 17:57 by pinfall with a Rising Sun. Unfortunately this match was also too long given who was involved with some members of the WWE Universe not being interested in seeing the masked Kalisto who controversially likes to dress himself in a white hood looking very much like a member of the KKK. Kalisto had some appearances on Monday Night RAW last year but he was yet to wear his controversial attire at that stage. TJ Perkins, a Fan Favourite with the WWE Universe, had the crowd on his side but it was Kalisto who left victorious here.

Tonight’s edition of 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman as well as 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to the show as JBL announces that the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will take on Evan Bourne in a non-title match in tonight’s main event. We then head to the ring to find the Fan Favourite with the WWE Universe, Cedric Alexander, standing in the ring holding a microphone. Cedric says that in just a few weeks at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will bring back the “Age of Alexander” when he defeats the Australian “Bum” who needs to really give his hair a good wash, Buddy Murphy. Cedric Alexander says that he is well aware that Buddy Murphy is one of the greatest Cruiserweights in the world in this ring and continued to prove his technical prowess last week on 205 Live when he defeated Eric Young in the evening’s non-title main event. However, Cedric Alexander says that the “Age of Alexander” was cut prematurely short last year and that it is the destiny of Cedric Alexander to head to the Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania, as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander then leaves the ring and heads to the back as we head to our first commercial break of the evening.

Rating: E+

Jay Briscoe versus Bobby Fish

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Bobby Fish defeated Jay Briscoe in 7:35 by pinfall with a Moonsault. Jay Briscoe seemed off his game tonight in this match against the returning Bobby Fish which led to no nonsense and “No Gimmick Needed” Bobby Fish picking up the victory against the “Redneck” Jay Briscoe following an impressive looking Moonsault.

Match Rating: C-

Following another commercial break we cut backstage to find Evan Bourne preparing for tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event when he is approached by his opponent tonight, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. The Cruiserweight Champion says that he hopes Evan Bourne isn’t under the impression that he is going to revive his career on 205 Live following years of mediocrity on Monday Night RAW. Evan Bourne says that he is proud to call himself an “Every-Man” who represents every member of the WWE Universe when he enters the ring. However, Bourne says he still always has the common sense to wear deodorant, and suggests that Murphy should try it sometime as he smells like a “Bum”. Bourne then walks off smiling as Murphy looks angry.

205 Live official Chad Patton comes to the ringside area and he is joined by the senior WWE referee in Charles Robinson. Chad Patton says that he wants clarification from John “Bradshaw” Layfield, the 205 Live General Manager, about who is the boss here after Chavo Guerrero has been calling himself the “CEO” of 205 Live in recent weeks. JBL says that he has no idea what Chavo is talking about and tells Chad Patton and Charles Robinson not to worry.

Rating: E+

We cut backstage to find TJ Perkins doing some stretches when he is approached by Chavo Guerrero who says he is the CEO of 205 Live and that TJ Perkins shouldn’t be working out backstage as it breaks health and safety protocol. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Big E Langston

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles take on Big E Langston in a non-title match. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in a few weeks AJ Styles will put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat match against Christian and Daniel Bryan. The former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan created some controversy over the weekend on social media when he claimed that the word “World” should be removed from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as WWE have not put on a televised event outside of America for several years, whereas Daniel Bryan has been competing in Japan recently. Daniel Bryan also said that after he wins the title at the Royal Rumble he will rechristen it the “WWE Championship”. An all-important victory for Big E Langston tonight could well lead to the big man getting a future title opportunity.

WWE United States Championship: Randy Orton © versus R-Truth versus Yoshi Tatsu

Randy Orton will put his WWE United States Championship on the line tonight in a Triple Threat match against both R-Truth as well as the Japanese Superstar known as Yoshi Tatsu. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Randy Orton defeated R-Truth to make his sixth successful title defence since winning the United States Championship for the first time in his career at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View last October.

Non-Title: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso’s vs. Fandanbanarama (Fandango & Cabana)

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Jimmy and Jey Uso defeated Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar” to become the new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions for the third time since the titles were introduced in June of last year, with Jimmy and Jey also having been the inaugural Champions. Tonight on SmackDown Jimmy and Jey will take on the team of Fandango and Colt Cabana, Fandanbanarama, in non-title competition.

Richie Steamboat versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens

Richie Steamboat will take on the holder of the Friday Night SmackDown Money in the Bank briefcase, Kevin Owens, tonight on SmackDown just a few weeks before both Superstars will compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match.

John Cena versus Rhyno

Following a victory over Erick Rowan last week, John Cena will take on another big man tonight on Friday Night SmackDown in the veteran Rhyno, who wants to prove that he is still a “Bad Ass” in Rhyno’s first match this year.

SD Women’s Champ Asuka, Hatred & Christina Von Eerie vs. Tamina, Portia & Nicole Matthews

Last but certainly not least, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka will team up with Hailey Hatred and Christina Von Eerie tonight on Friday Night SmackDown to take on the trio of Tamina, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews. Last week on SmackDown Asuka also competed in a six-woman tag team match and quickly led her team to victory. After the match as Asuka was celebrating in front of the WWE Universe she was approached from behind by Paige who looked to assault Asuka only for Asuka to grab Paige by the hair and Paige was eventually able to squirm out of Asuka’s grip. Paige will challenge Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month.

Pre-Show: Cameron versus Carmella

The former “Funkadaktyll” Cameron seemed off her game tonight in this pre-show women’s division match that went the distance. In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Bar defeated The Bludgeon Brothers in 17:44 when Antonio Cesaro defeated Luke Harper by pinfall with a Brogue Kick. Robbie Brookside accompanied his protégés Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, to ringside for this match as the former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro looked to bounce back from their title loss last week as they took on the Bludgeon Brothers pairing of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. AJ Styles says that over the weekend Daniel Bryan put out some tweets in which he claimed that the word “World” should officially be removed from AJ’s title because the WWE have not held any television events abroad for a few years. AJ says that he has competed all over the world, just like Daniel Bryan, and has earned the right to call himself the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. AJ says that at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will beat both Daniel Bryan and Christian in their Triple Threat match to retain the title and go on to defend in the main event of WrestleMania. Christian then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone of his own and says that he is now sure that AJ and Christian need to work together at the Royal Rumble. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Jay Briscoe

The main event of tonight’s edition of 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see 205 Live’s resident “Redneck” Jay Briscoe take on his biggest challenge yet as he will face the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in non-title action. This Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View the Australian native Buddy Murphy will put his WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against the former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander, who last week told the WWE Universe that he will bring back the “Age of Alexander” when he beats Buddy Murphy and the “Fan Favourite” Cedric Alexander also once again called Buddy Murphy a “Bum” who needs to really give his hair a good wash. An all-important victory for Jay Briscoe tonight could well lead to Briscoe getting a future WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and Jay Briscoe has picked up victories over Noam Dar, A.R. Fox and Kzy since making his 205 Live debut last month in a defeat at the hands of Epico. However Jay Briscoe lost to a returning Bobby Fish last week on 205 Live and faces a Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy tonight who is on a nine-match winning streak since beating Cedric Alexander to become the new Cruiserweight Champion last November. For the past two weeks Cedric Alexander has beaten 205 Live newcomers Eric Young and Evan Bourne in consecutive weeks and looks to do the same to Jay Briscoe tonight.

Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero

The “Fun Babyface” Eric Young will take on Chavo Guerrero tonight, and Chavo has seemed to be confused in recent weeks after declaring to anybody that would listen in the WWE Universe that he is the “CEO” of 205 Live despite the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield repeatedly denying this. This is a rematch from three weeks ago when Eric Young defeated Chavo Guerrero in Young’s 205 Live in-ring debut. Two weeks ago Eric Young lost to the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in non-title action but bounced back with a victory over the Englishman Oliver Grey last week.

Evan Bourne versus Bobby Fish

Evan Bourne claims to be an “Every-Man”, and a man of the people and the WWE Universe seem to respect Evan Bourne for this trait. Bourne will likely have the WWE Universe on his side tonight when he takes on Bobby Fish, who claims that he has “No Gimmick Needed” and certainly looked impressive in his victory over 205 Live’s resident “Redneck” Jay Briscoe in what was the first match for Bobby Fish since his 205 Live debut victory against Tajiri late last year.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Jay Briscoe

Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero

Evan Bourne versus Bobby Fish

Pre-Show: Rich Swann versus Epico

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Rich Swann defeated Epico in 18:03 by pinfall with a Tornado Spin Kick. The small man dressed in a bull costume and mask known as “El Torito” accompanied the former WWE Tag Team Champion Epico to ringside for this match and did plenty of cheerleading for Epico throughout this pre-show contest that went the distance. However, despite the presence of El Torito on the outside, Rich Swann was able to pick up the all-important victory here after hitting Epico with a Tornado Spin Kick.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus Enzo Amore

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, TJ Perkins defeated Enzo Amore in 18:12 by submission with a Figure Four Deathlock. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not too interested in TJ Perkins despite Perkins having competed on 205 Live since its inception last summer. Nevertheless, TJ Perkins was able to get the victory over the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore here after forcing Enzo to submit to the Figure Four Deathlock.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus JTG

In an extremely poor match, Cedric Alexander defeated JTG in 18:11 by pinfall with a Spear. This match was also too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not having much reason to care for JTG following months of losses on 205 Live. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander gets the victory here after hitting JTG with a Spear.

Tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to tonight’s show and announcing that the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will take on Jay Briscoe in tonight’s non-title main event. We then see Cedric Alexander standing in the ring with a microphone in hand. Cedric Alexander is a Fan Favourite and receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance as he says that this Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View the “Age of Alexander” will return as Cedric claims he will beat Buddy Murphy to once again become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander says that his first title reign was cut too short last year when Buddy Murphy beat him to win the title and since then Buddy Murphy has been on an impressive winning streak and despite the Australian Buddy Murphy having definite hygiene issues and smelling like a total “Bum”, Cedric Alexander admits that Murphy is one of the best in the world in the ring. Cedric Alexander says that he looks forward to watching Buddy Murphy take on the “Redneck” of 205 Live Jay Briscoe in tonight’s non-title main event before Cedric Alexander leaves the ring and heads to the back as 205 Live heads to its first commercial break of the evening.

Evan Bourne versus Bobby Fish

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Bobby Fish defeated Evan Bourne in 8:30 by pinfall with a Moonsault. Bobby Fish is improving in Flying skills from being in the ring with smaller, high-flying opponents such as Bobby’s opponent tonight, Evan Bourne. The WWE Universe were in the corner of the “Every-Man” Evan Bourne tonight but it was “No Gimmicks Needed” Bobby Fish who got the win here after hitting Bourne with an impressive Moonsault for the three count.

We cut backstage to find the “Redneck” Jay Briscoe wearing a Cowboy hat and drinking a beer when he is approached by the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. The Australian Cruiserweight Champion asks why Jay Briscoe isn’t doing more thorough preparation ahead of their non-title main event tonight on 205 Live. Jay Briscoe says that he is well aware of the opportunity he has tonight and that Briscoe will beat Buddy Murphy which will lead to the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield having no choice but to give Briscoe a future title shot. Jay Briscoe then says that he hopes Buddy Murphy takes a shower before tonight’s main event as he smells like a “Bum”. Jay Briscoe then walks off leaving Murphy looking angry as we head to another commercial break.

Eric Young versus Chavo Guerrero

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Eric Young defeated Chavo Guerrero in 7:40 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Neckbreaker. Eric Young and Chavo Guerrero have great chemistry as opponents, and it showed in both of their performances tonight. The “Fun Babyface” Eric Young entertained the WWE Universe on his way to victory over the self-proclaimed “CEO” of 205 Live Chavo Guerrero here.

Match Rating: D+

We cut backstage following a commercial break to find TJ Perkins doing some exercising using a skipping rope when he is approached by A.R. Fox, who says that he would like to introduce TJ Perkins to his new mentor who will lead Fox to the Cruiserweight Championship, Terry Taylor. The legend Terry Taylor then pats A.R. Fox on the back and says that he scoured 205 Live for talent and A.R. Fox was by far the most impressive talent he found. TJ Perkins smiles before walking away chuckling.

Rating: E+

Prior to the main event Ricardo Rodriguez comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and introduces his client, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville, who then comes out and immediately grabs the microphone from Rodriguez. Adrian Neville marches to ringside to confront the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield at the commentary table. Neville asks why losers like Cedric Alexander and Jay Briscoe are being given title shots and main event matches whereas the “King of the Cruiserweights” Neville isn’t even on the show. JBL says that Neville needs to start winning matches regularly before he will be given another title shot and Neville angrily heads to the back.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

Non-Title: WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles versus Luke Harper

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles take on Luke Harper of the Bludgeon Brothers in non-title action. This Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View AJ Styles will put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian and the returning Daniel Bryan. Last week on SmackDown the “Franchise Player” AJ Styles told the WWE Universe that he will beat both Christian and Daniel Bryan in the Triple Threat match to retain his title when Christian came to the entrance-way and suggested once again that Christian and AJ work together in the Triple Threat match to take out Daniel Bryan, to which AJ Styles refused to comment. Tonight will be Luke Harper’s first match on SmackDown since a loss to AJ Styles back in November and an all-important victory for Harper could well lead to him getting a future title opportunity.

WWE United States Championship: R-Truth © versus Samoa Joe

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown R-Truth became the new WWE United States Champion for the second time in his career when he defeated the former US Champion Randy Orton in a Triple Threat match also involving Yoshi Tatsu after R-Truth pinned Yoshi Tatsu whilst Orton was out of the ring. Marcus Owens versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens

Two former Divas Champions in Kaitlyn and Layla started off this match and the two women from Friday Night SmackDown went straight at it in the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Monday Night RAW’s Rosa Mendes was the third entrant and the WWE Universe cheered as Kaitlyn quickly eliminated Rosa Mendes. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Jason Jordan

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out by the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox and will see the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar take on Jason Jordan in non-title action. Last night at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View the WWE Universe witnessed Brock Lesnar defeat Andrade Cien Almas to successfully retain the WWE Universal Championship once again. Brock Lesnar’s in-ring mentor Billy Gunn will likely be by his side tonight as Brock Lesnar take on Jason Jordan, a “Legitimate Athlete” who is also a good friend of Seth Rollins, who won last night’s men’s Royal Rumble match. It is believed that Seth Rollins will tonight announce what Championship he will challenge for in the main event of WrestleMania. Jason Jordan’s last match on Monday Night RAW came last month in a loss against Dean Ambrose and an all-important victory for Jordan tonight could well led to a future title opportunity down the line.

Non-Title: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival versus International Explosion

Last night at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View the team of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, known to the WWE Universe as “The Revival”, defeated the “Team CoBro” pairing of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder to make their first successful defence of the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships. Tyler Bate versus Tommaso Ciampa

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tommaso Ciampa defeated Tyler Bate in 8:26 by pinfall with a Project Ciampa. Tommaso Ciampa was a complete “Bad Ass” in this match as he put the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate through a lot of pain before putting him away with the Project Ciampa.

Match Rating: E+

NXT North American Championship: Ricochet © versus Adam Pearce

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Ricochet defeated Adam Pearce in 8:26 by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Ricochet makes defence number one of his NXT North American Championship. Ricochet put his NXT North Arena Championship on the line for the first time tonight since winning the title from Ezekiel Jackson last month. Ricochet’s opponent tonight was the first ever NXT North American Champion, back when the title was known as the NXT Arena Championship. The “Fan Favourite” Ricochet retained his title her after hitting a 450 Splash much to the delight of the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena.

Match Rating: D

Johnny Gargano versus Ted DiBiase

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Ted DiBiase defeated Johnny Gargano in 17:45 by pinfall with a Dream Street. Ted DiBiase tried to act like a “Fan Favourite” in this match but in truth the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena were fully behind the “Cocky” Johnny Gargano tonight. NXT General Manager Jim Cornette says on commentary that Gargano needs to pick up the win here after losing to Roderick Strong last month if Gargano wants to keep up his pursuit of the NXT Championship. However, it was Ted DiBiase who won his second match in NXT tonight after his victory over Adam Pearce last month at NXT Downward Spiral. This was the best match of the night.

Match Rating: C

NXT Championship: Curtis Axel © versus Raymond Rowe

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Curtis Axel defeated Raymond Rowe in 17:34 by pinfall with a Perfect-Plex. Curtis Axel makes defence number seven of his NXT Championship. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette entered the ring to provide in-ring introductions for our NXT Championship match before returning to his commentary position with his broadcast colleague Rikishi. “Generation Next” Curtis Axel has held the NXT Championship since winning the title from the former Champion Justin Gabriel last April at NXT Falling Apart and had already made six successful title defences prior to tonight, most recently defending the title in a Triple Threat match against Ezekiel Jackson and Kyle O’Reilly last December. The NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena were fully behind Curtis Axel tonight as he faced the challenge of Raymond Rowe, a man making his NXT debut tonight with not much being known about him. Despite being an unknown, Raymond Rowe impressed with his strength and athleticism but it was Curtis Axel who eventually got the win here after hitting a Perfect-Plex to once again remain the NXT Champion.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Rich Swann

The main event of tonight’s 205 Live was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield and will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in action against Rich Swann in non-title competition. This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Buddy Murphy defeated Cedric Alexander to make the second successful defence of his WWE Cruiserweight Championship whilst the commentary team noted that the Australian Buddy Murphy is becoming an unstoppable force on the 205 Live brand. Buddy Murphy, despite many of his colleagues and members of the WWE Universe calling him a “Bum” for his hygiene issues, has won every single match he has competed in since becoming the new Cruiserweight Champion four months ago in November of last year when he defeated the former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander on an episode of 205 Live. Since then Murphy has made two successful title defences including beating Alexander again this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View as well as beating both Alexander and the masked Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat match at the TLC Pay-Per-View back in December. Murphy’s opponent tonight Rich Swann is a Fan Favourite among the WWE Universe and knows that an all-important victory tonight could well lead to a future title opportunity,

Chris Jericho versus Bobby Fish

After competing in the men’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday, Chris Jericho returns to action on 205 Live tonight as he will take on Bobby Fish for the first time ever. Bobby Fish has claimed that he has “No Gimmick Needed” and has been undefeated since debuting on 205 Live back in December of last year with a victory over Tajiri. The “Cheeky Monkey” Chris Jericho who still loves to entertain the WWE Universe is also undefeated on 205 Live since his 205 Live debut back in August of last year when he defeated the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville. With two undefeated streaks on the line tonight, something has to give as both men will look to impress the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield with another victory.

Jay Briscoe versus Chavo Guerrero

The “Redneck” Jay Briscoe lost to the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in last week’s 205 Live non-title main event and also lost to Bobby Fish the week before that, so Briscoe will be hoping to get back to winning ways tonight on 205 Live when he will take on the former five-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion and the man that has recently been referring to himself as the “CEO” of 205 Live despite the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield claiming that he has no authority whatsoever, Chavo Guerrero.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Rich Swann

Chris Jericho versus Bobby Fish

Jay Briscoe versus Chavo Guerrero

<strong>WWE 205 Live (Live from Du Burns Arena (MD), 650 in Attendance)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: TJ Perkins versus JTG</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, TJ Perkins defeated JTG in 18:24 by pinfall with a Running Single Leg High Knee Strike. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with most of the WWE Universe being bored of JTG’s “Gangsta” act for several years now since he was appearing on Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown years ago. Nevertheless, the “Fan Favourite” TJ Perkins picked up the all-important victory here after pinning JTG following his signature Running Single Leg High Knee Strike.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Eric Young versus Enzo Amore</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Eric Young defeated Enzo Amore in 17:55 by pinfall with a Spiked Piledriver. Unfortunately this match was also too long given who was involved with the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore not really being considered a threat despite being heavily featured since coming to 205 Live and quickly winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Eric Young picks up the win here following a devastating Spiked Piledriver.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Cedric Alexander versus Epico</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Cedric Alexander defeated Epico in 18:23 by pinfall with a Lung Blower. The small man dressed in a bull costume known as El Torito accompanied the former WWE Tag Team Champion Epico to ringside for this match and offered vocal support in the form of grunts and a weird sort of cheerleading. Despite Torito’s efforts, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander got the win here after pinning Epico following a Lung Blower.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Tonight’s edition of 205 Live kicks off with the 205 Live commentary team of Scott Stanford, former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcoming the television audience to tonight’s show as JBL announces that tonight’s main event will see the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy take on Rich Swann in non-title action. We then cut to the ring to find Cedric Alexander who receives a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Cedric Alexander has a microphone in his hand as he says that this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he feels like he let the entire WWE Universe down as he failed to recapture the WWE Cruiserweight Championship from the Australian “Bum” known as Buddy Murphy. The “Fan Favourite” Alexander receives support from the WWE Universe in attendance as he says that despite Buddy Murphy continuing to smell like a “Bum” and needing a good hair wash, as far as in-ring talent goes, Murphy was the better man this past Sunday. However, Cedric Alexander says that he is determined to continue on his path to recapture the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and let the “Age of Alexander” begin again. Cedric then says that he will be watching tonight’s non-title main event very closely before Cedric puts the microphone down and leaves the ring and heads to the back as we head to our first commercial break of the evening.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Jericho versus Bobby Fish</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Chris Jericho defeated Bobby Fish in 7:37 by pinfall with a Code Breaker. Bobby Fish is improving in Technical skills but it was the former Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho who picked up the win here after pinning Bobby Fish with the Codebreaker.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage following a commercial break to find the “Fan Favourite” Rich Swann preparing for tonight’s 205 Live non-title main event when the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy walks into the room, with the Australian Murphy proudly holding the title over his shoulder. As Murphy steps towards Rich Swann, the latter holds his nose and tells Murphy to stay far away because he smells like a total “Bum”. Rich Swann says that he hopes Murphy will shower before their main event non-title match tonight. Buddy Murphy responds by saying that just like his mate Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann can make all the jokes in the world but that won’t mean anything after Buddy Murphy beats Rich Swann tonight and continues to prove that he is the best Cruiserweight competitor on this planet. Murphy then leaves the room as Rich Swann returns to his preparation.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jay Briscoe versus Chavo Guerrero</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Chavo Guerrero defeated Jay Briscoe in 8:27 by pinfall with a Gory Bomb. Scott Stanford and the former Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman both agree on commentary that this was an important victory for Chavo Guerrero as Chavo yells at the 205 Live General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield at the commentary table that no matter what JBL may say, Chavo is the “CEO” of 205 Live.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Eric Young walking through a corridor when he bumps into A.R. Fox and his new manager Terry Taylor. Eric Young tries to walk past but he is stopped by Terry Taylor who says that Eric Young has been competing on 205 Live for quite a few weeks now but that A.R. Fox has been here for longer and Eric Young shouldn’t think that he is going to jump ahead of Fox in the hunt for opportunities. Eric Young looks bemused and eventually is allowed to walk by.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The WWE Universe come to their feet as the winner of the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match this past Sunday, Becky Lynch, makes her way to the ring. She takes a microphone from the ringside area. She says that after winning the Royal Rumble match this past Sunday she still hasn’t decided what title she will challenge for at WrestleMania and until she decides she will roam every single brand as and when she sees fit. Becky Lynch says that she has been impressed with many of the 205 Live Superstars including TJ Perkins who she knows well. Ricardo Rodriguez then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and introduces his client, Adrian Neville, who comes out and is handed the microphone. Neville says that Becky Lynch shouldn’t be interested in losers like JTG but she should be interested in a fellow Brit and the “King of the Cruiserweights” Adrian Neville. Becky Lynch says that Neville disgusts her which leads to Neville and Rodriguez heading to the back in anger.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy versus Rich Swann</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Buddy Murphy defeated Rich Swann in 12:53 by pinfall with a Murphy's Law. The 205 Live commentary team note that Murphy continues his winning streak and questions who could be the one to take the title from Murphy.</p><p>

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier today via a tweet sent out from the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and will see a Triple Threat Elimination Tag Team match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships as the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso will put their titles on the line against the team of Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar” as well as the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Resurrection, the pairing of Matt Hardy and Luke Gallows. This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View both Jimmy and Jey as well as Sheamus and Cesaro competed in the men’s Royal Rumble match with Jimmy and Jey lasting to the final four participants in the match until they were both eliminated by the eventual winner, Monday Night RAW’s Seth Rollins. Jimmy and Jey are currently enjoying their third reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions, a reign that began last November and the twins will no doubt do all they can to pick up the all-important victory and retain their titles.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Fandanbanarama (Fandango and Colt Cabana) versus Prime Time Players</strong></p><p>

More tag team action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the team of Fandango and Colt Cabana, being referred to by the WWE Universe as “Fandanbanarama” take on the Prime Time Players of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil. A victory for either of these teams could well lead to them being the next challengers to whoever wins tonight’s main event for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley versus Kenneth Cameron</strong></p><p>

It was announced earlier today via tweets sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie and the Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox that the Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley has moved to Friday Night SmackDown whereas the United States Champion Samoa Joe is heading to Monday Night RAW. Tonight Lashley will take on Kenneth Cameron in non-title competition.</p><p> </p><p>

Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens was the runner up in the men’s Royal Rumble match this past Sunday before finally being eliminated by the winner of the Royal Rumble, Monday Night RAW’s Seth Rollins. Tonight Kevin Owens will look to bounce back when he takes on Mark Henry on SmackDown.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Cena versus R-Truth</strong></p><p>

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown R-Truth lost his WWE United States Championship to Samoa Joe, who has since took the title to Monday Night RAW. Tonight R-Truth will go one on one with John Cena.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from American Sports Center (CA), 3,500 in Attendance)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Naomi versus Portia Perez</strong></p><p>

In an extremely poor match, Naomi defeated Portia Perez in 17:39 by pinfall with a Nightmare. Unfortunately this women’s division pre-show match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe still not really caring about Portia Perez despite her having appeared on Friday Night SmackDown multiple times over the past year. Nevertheless, Naomi picks up the all-important victory here after hitting her Nightmare finishing maneuver, building momentum heading into the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View later this month when Naomi will team with Cameron to attempt to become the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus The Bludgeon Brothers (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) </strong></p><p>

The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker took up their positions at ringside prior to this tag team match getting underway which saw the Bludgeon Brothers defeat Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu.</p><p>

(Billy Gunn would seriously consider either turning Luke Harper or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pre-Show: AJ Styles versus Tyler Breeze</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, AJ Styles defeated Tyler Breeze in 17:51 by pinfall with a Spiral Tap. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe yet to care about Tyler Breeze too much.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with Kofi Kingston making his way to the ring to a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Kofi Kingston seems to still be feeling the effects from the men’s Royal Rumble match this past Sunday where Kofi Kingston lasted for the longest time before he was eliminated by his tag team partner Big E Langston, who shocked Kofi by turning his back on him. Kofi Kingston takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that this past Sunday, after six years in this company, he felt that he finally had the chance to win the Royal Rumble match and go on to holding the WWE Championship that has eluded him his entire career, however his dreams were ended at the hands of Big E Langston, somebody that Kofi thought was a friend. Kofi says that it seems that Big E has now chosen to align himself with Xavier Woods and turn their backs on their former friends Kofi and Richie Steamboat. Kofi announces that he has spoken to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Eva Marie who has told him that at the Elimination Chamber match Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, the US Champion Samoa Joe as well as both Jimmy and Jey Uso will compete in an Elimination Chamber match with the winner going on to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Big E then rushes to the ring and hits Kofi Kingston with the Big Ending before standing over his fallen friend beating his chest.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka, Summer Rae & Rain vs. Paige, Nicole Matthews & Tamina</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Asuka, Summer Rae and Rain defeated Paige, Nicole Matthews and Tamina in 6:03 when Asuka defeated Nicole Matthews by submission with a Kana Lock. The WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka led the team of Summer Rae and Rain in this six-woman tag team match against the trio of Paige, Nicole Matthews and Tamina in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown opening contest. Summer Rae was really off her game tonight which led to Paige, Nicole Matthews and Tamina focusing their offence on Summer Rae until Summer was finally able to tag in Asuka who forced Nicole Matthews to submit to win the match for her team.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>As Asuka celebrates her victory with the teammates and the WWE Universe, we cut to the Titan Tron to see the winner of the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match Becky Lynch, who says that Asuka must be terrified that Becky will choose to challenge for her title at WrestleMania. Becky says that she can do whatever she wants now and goes into the women’s locker-room, grabs Hailey Hatred and throws her into a wall before smiling and leaving the room.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: F+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Fandanbanarama (Fandango and Colt Cabana) versus Prime Time Players</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Fandanbanarama defeated Prime Time Players in 8:15 when Fandango defeated Titus O'Neil by pinfall with a Double Leg Drop. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that this is an important victory for the Fandanbanarama pairing of Fandango and Colt Cabana who will likely be watching tonight’s main event for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships very closely.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso in conversation. Jimmy tells Jey that he knows they may have to battle one another in the Elimination Chamber match later this month but first they need to focus on retaining their titles tonight. Jey nods in agreement.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley versus Kenneth Cameron</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Bobby Lashley defeated Kenneth Cameron in 7:22 by submission with a Dragon Sleeper. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team note that Bobby Lashley looked great in his first match back on SmackDown tonight.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Xavier Woods comes to the ring and retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Xavier tells the WWE Universe that this past Sunday he and Big E Langston started a New Day that will take over the entire WWE Universe, and that they are the New Day and will leave their former friends Kofi Kingston and Richie Steamboat behind where they belong.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mark Henry versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Kevin Owens defeated Mark Henry in 7:29 by pinfall with a Package Piledriver. Kevin Owens was really off his game tonight but was still able to get the win here.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>As Kevin Owens celebrates his victory by lifting up his Money in the Bank briefcase, the celebration is interrupted by a video hyping Andy Leavine, the former Tough Enough winner who has impressed many members of the WWE Universe. As the video ends, Owens seems angry at the interruption.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: E-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Cena versus R-Truth</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, John Cena defeated R-Truth in 10:22 by pinfall with an Attitude Adjustment. R-Truth has a dreadfully stale character, a change is really needed.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: C-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

(Steve Lombardi would seriously consider either turning R-Truth or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)</p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to find Carmella complaining to Cameron that she doesn’t think it’s fair that Cameron and Naomi will be in the match to determine the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions whereas Carmella has been overlooked. Big Show then walks by and Carmella stops speaking.</em></p><p>

<strong>Rating: D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Uso’s © versus The Bar versus Resurrection</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Resurrection defeated The Uso's and The Bar in 15:52; the order of elimination was The Uso's first, and then The Bar. Resurrection win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team titles. Robbie Brookside accompanied the team of Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro, known to the WWE Universe as “The Bar”, to ringside for this triple threat elimination match for the WWE Tag Team Championships and Brookside’s presence at ringside led to Sheamus pinning Jey Uso to eliminate the reigning Champions from the match only for Matt Hardy to later pin Sheamus to win the titles for his team.</p><p>
