Master Imoka looks forward to destroying all of you, just like before. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Pages are now live for Master Imoka and Amelia Midnight. In addition, movesets for those two and for Alex Kapranos are also posted. As of right now, 19 of the 20 League Members are viable competitors at the moment.

I still need to work on a schedule, I may try to knock some of that out tonight.

So...no matter how I try to finagle the schedule, I cannot fit everyone into a 15 week schedule. So what I'm going to do is keep the 15-match idea, but each wrestler will also get two "bye" weeks in order to make the schedule fit my plan. (And this is why I'm going bald, folks--pulling my hair out with schedule creation.)

I want to try to mix things up so that there are a variety of divisional, inter-divisional, and positional matches in a week instead of all one type, but that can start tomorrow. In the meantime, here are dates you may want to take note of:

January 14: Season Seven begins.

March 18-19: Tag Team Turmoil event (between Weeks 9 and 10)

May 20-21: Season Seven Playoffs

June 10: Projected Season Eight start

Dates are subject to change, naturally.

I've managed to do a little mixing, but not nearly as much as I'd like. If I delay things further to try to tweak the schedule more, I'm going to end up delaying the start of Season Seven, and I don't want to do that.

So tomorrow, I will be posting the game thread in the WS3 Dynasty section. I plan to have the season preview show written up--including division layouts--the full schedule made out (and posted on the website), and the card ready for Week One predictions. I'll link to it in this thread once it is posted, as well.

Even though the game engine has eliminated all of the various areas with each game region, I'm keeping the idea for scheduling and specialty match generation. I can confirm that The League will be visiting all seven regions during the course of Season Seven. As for specialty matches, I have yet to make the draw for those. I will attempt as I've done in the past to balance the number of specialty matches per wrestler, based off of how the draw comes out.

Tomorrow, the real fun begins.

Veterans of previous League seasons may recall that at the end of each season, I would give every returning player a number of free points that could be placed in any stat except Spirit. Those people with losing records got more free points in order to attempt parity in The League.

I will be bringing that mechanic back for Season Eight, with a few modifications as noted below.

1) All players will receive a minimum of 25 free points after the season. Those with losing records will receive an extra 10 points for each match below a winning record they are (so a 7-8 wrestler gains 35 total, while an 0-15 wrestler would gain the maximum of 105 points).

2) Those players participating in the prediction game will earn points equal to the number of correct picks they have made over the season. This could be as high as 150 points.

3) The only restrictions on these free points are that one may only place a maximum of 100 points per off-season into Spirit, and no points may be placed in Overall. Everything else is fair game.

4) I am still figuring out how I want to implement the major change to Season Eight (Finisher improvements); when I've settled on a mechanic I am satisfied with I'll post it in this thread.

Folks, I'm making this announcement to try to get some opinions (especially from those who have played the game and are somewhat familiar with the mechanics), and also to be up-front about any changes that may be occurring to the rules as they've always been.

One of the current members (name withheld to protect the innocent until said move debuts) was inquiring about a Mist type move as a finisher. Given that Mists are generally High Cheating or Instant DQ, and also one-use only moves, I am going to enter it with the following parameters:

1. Cheating level set to Medium to allow a better opportunity to use it.

2. Chance of hit increased from 200 to 300 due to once-only nature of move.

3. Chance of win decreased from 850 to 600 due to buffs mentioned above.

Note that this is a trial basis, and these values can change if I feel it's too unbalanced.

Any notes, comments, or questions welcome in the event this becomes necessary for more than one person.

Pretty sure I saw Muta launch four bursts of mist at Lockdown... wouldn't it be easier to simply lower the cheating level (to make it legal enough), enable it to be used more than once and then leave the other numbers the same? I know the game has them preset to be used once each, but not everything has to be done like that. :p

Thoguh speaking of move edits... is there any chance to change the Low Blow to be an instant DQ? I've never, eeeeeever seen a match with DQs enabled not end when someone hits one. Seems to me like it should be an instant DQ move, if the ref sees it then he should call it. And it's frustrating to keep being hit in the balls as a babyface. :p

He still fired off 4 of them, so clearly misting isn't a one shot. :p And I care not about the CoH of the Low Blow, it's an instant DQ move in real life and I have no idea why it isn't in-game. I've literally never seen a low blow not be DQed in a match unless there were no DQ rules in place (or the referee didn't see it). And given that it's already ended a few matches when the ref HAS seen it, seems like it should be looked at. At least in my opinion, and the opinion of any of Nuclear's potential future children. :p

Add the mist and tweak it as necessary.

As far as the low blow, I am with Derek.

If the ref didn't see it is one thing but "becoming frustrated by apparent rules being broken" and "giving a stern warning" after he plainly sees it is a pain because it has cost me matches.

Hell I was even fast counted for some reason. Lol.

If there is a way to tweak it than it should be tweak, if it can't then it is what it is.

Well...I didn't want to edit the default database's moves as they came, which is why I haven't altered the low blow. Recall in WS2, low blows often went without a DQ as well.

If a majority of those discussing this want the low blow tweaked, I'll move the low blow to instant DQ. There is a signature out there that is essentially a low blow that someone has paid for (William King's Johnny Cage Punch), so if you're banning the low blow I'll have to rule on this one too (likely switch to/keep at high cheating unless everyone wants groin shots banned altogether). That change wouldn't come until after Tag Team Turmoil, anyway.

Derek, IRT multiple mists in a match, I'm trying to stick close to the C-Verse standards in adding stuff because my plan is when I'm done running The League, I may consider doing a solo RtL dynasty and I'd like to have the option of joining The League without it being too wildly out of sync. I know of no other CV cases that allow multiples of the same mist in a match, and in RL Muta is a special case (I'd consider it part of his gimmick), so I'm not really wanting to break that rule.

There's precedent for changing CoH during the WS2 League as well (high risk finishers were 25% to hit instead of 20).

If it's changed, I'd prefer it be changed between seasons and not in the middle.

The problem with cheating moves in general is that they're really never NOT seen by the ref. So changing a move to Instant DQ is effectively removing it from the move list outside of the very few gimmick matches we have.

I'm fine with low blows getting turned to Instant DQ IF Chance of Win is raise and if I can change that TM to something else as I bought it under the assumption that it would be a High illegal move.

But really guys, the CoW for the low blow is only 333 vulnerable. The Fisherman's Suplex is better than that. Of course the Fisherman's Suplex is also kinda broken as it's better than some finisher-level moves....

Um, guys...

Apparently the Low Blow is the only move Eidenhoek can use to ever win any match. Due to weight restrictions on his actual finisher.

So...

y'know...

@Mists: I think I just recently hit a Black Mist in a match and had it available later. Was weird.
