Slowed down by physical tiredness, Belfort still looks to get in close and strike from the pocket. Kennedy now has Belfort standing in the pocket. Always alert, Kennedy uses good head movement to avoid a barrage of big right hands. A nice one-two combination doesn't trouble Kennedy, who covered up well. Vitor Belfort seems to be fighting against exhaustion. It may be that the amount of weight he cut for this fight has drained some of his energy. We move into the second half of this round. Kennedy sees a body kick coming, grabs it, shoots in for a takedown, getting it! Kennedy is in half guard. Kennedy attempts an arm triangle. Belfort defends himself well and is in no danger. Belfort tries to sweep Kennedy but doesn't get anywhere. Kennedy is trying to get out of half guard and into a better position. He does brilliantly, getting out of half guard straight into a mount. Tim Kennedy doesn't look like he has much left in the tank. There's under a minute left in this round. Kennedy pounds away on Belfort, landing several great shots that threaten to knock him out! The referee jumps in and saves Belfort from taking any more shots!

The winner, by TKO; Tim Kennedy!

Featherweight Bout: Tatsuya Kawajiri (33-8-2) vs. Tie Quan Zhang (15-5)

Round 1

We are underway! Zhang counters a tight combination by hitting a stinging left jab. Kawajiri feints going high but then throws a leg kick, Zhang just avoids it. Zhang shoots in for a takedown. Zhang can't get past the sprawl of Kawajiri, and finds himself pushed face-down to the ground. Not wasting a second, Kawajiri moves straight into attempting a D'Arce choke! Zhang can't prevent the D'Arce from being applied, and once he is rolled over to the side he has no choice but to tap!

By submission, the winner is Tatsuya Kawajiri!

Lightweight Bout: Tae Hyun Bang (18-8) vs. Zorobabel Moreira (9-2)

Round 1

There's the opening bell! Moreira avoids a body kick. Moreira counters a weak right kick with a solid left. Moreira feints to the right, trying to draw Bang into throwing a strike. Moreira comes in with a couple of jabs, using them as cover so that he can shoot in. Bang tries to avoid the takedown. Bang avoids the takedown attempt. Moreira swiftly avoids a barrage of big punches. Moreira slips past an attempted big right hand and counters with a nice left hand. We've now passed the halfway mark in this round. Moreira slips out of the way of a jab. Moving forward, Bang counters a left jab with a kick to the outside of the left leg. A speculative right hand from Bang doesn't find a home. Moreira comes in closer to press the issue. Moreira chooses to shoot in on Bang. A counter right cross is too slow to catch Moreira. Moreira gets a single leg takedown! Bang pulls guard off it. There's under a minute left in this round. Moreira attempts to pass guard and gain a better position. He passes the guard well, gaining side control. The time is up, and that's the end of round one.

I have to give that round to Moreira, but only a 10-9.

Round 2

And here we go, round two! Moreira catches a right body kick and goes for a takedown, getting it! Bang pulls guard. Moreira looks to get past the guard. He passes the guard well, gaining side control. Moreira drives a vicious knee strike to the ribs from side control! Moreira attempts to move to mount. He is too good for Bang, and has mount. Moreira pounds away with punches from the mount, hitting several big shots. Moreira unloads with big punches from the mount, but Bang is able to deal with most of them. We are now at the halfway point of the round. Moreira pounds away with punches from the mount, but doesn't really do a great deal of damage. Moreira pounds away on Bang, but few of the shots lands clean. Moreira tries to pound on Bang, but all the blows are comfortably dealt with. Bang tries to get to half guard but can't. Moreira pounds away from the mount, but Bang covers up and defends them well. Moreira maintains control, despite Bang trying to wriggle free. We move into the final sixty seconds of this round. Moreira tries to pound on Bang, but all the blows are comfortably dealt with. Moreira counters an attempt by Bang to move him from mount by taking his back! Moreira tries to get Bang locked in a rear naked choke. Bang does well to roll over and spin out, ending up in his opponent's guard. Moreira should have gotten hooks in first before attempting a rear naked choke, and Bang has capitalised on the mistake. The time runs out on round two.

I think Moreira took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

Round 3

Round three begins! Moreira catches a right body kick and goes for a takedown, down goes Bang! He pulls guard though. Moreira begins trying to pass guard and get a better position. Moreira passes to side control with ease. Moreira attempts an armbar. Moreira gets an armbar fully applied! No! Bang manages to get his arm free. Clearly the hold couldn't have been as tight as it looked. Bang tries to break free and scramble for position, but Moreira keeps him trapped. Breathing very hard, Tae Hyun Bang is looking ragged. Moreira tries to get into the mount position. Moreira shifts to mount. Breathing very hard, Zorobabel Moreira is looking ragged. We are now at the halfway point of the round. Moreira fires away with big elbows, but Bang covers up and doesn't take any undue damage. Bang tries to move Moreira enough to get half guard, but can't get enough space. Moreira pounds away from the mount, and Bang struggles to deal with them. Moreira pounds away with punches from the mount, but doesn't really do a great deal of damage. Moreira fires away with punches, but Bang deals with them fairly well. Zorobabel Moreira looks like he is on the verge of exhaustion. Moreira pounds away on Bang, but few of the shots lands clean. We have one minute of the round remaining. Moreira pounds away with punches, but doesn't do much damage, if any, Bang covers up well. Moreira blocks Bang as he tries a sweep. Moreira fires away with big punches, but Bang covers up and doesn't take any undue damage. Bang tries to roll Moreira, but only succeeds in giving up his back! Time runs out and that's the end of the fight.

I think Moreira took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

The judges have given their scores, which are about to be announced. All three judges have scored it 30-27.

Making Zorobabel 'Zorro' Moreira the winner by unanimous decision!

Welterweight Bout: Hyun Gyu Lim (12-4-1) vs. Paulo Thiago (16-6)

Round 1

The fight begins! A showdown where they both exchange strikes only results in a stalemate. Stepping back, Thiago creates a bit of distance. Thiago uses a smart combination to get Lim to cover up, then shoots in looking for a takedown. Lim tries to strike first with a solid right hook, but isn't quick enough. Main Event

Middleweight Bout: Cung Le (9-3) vs. (#8) Tim Boetsch (18-7)

Round 1

There's the opening bell! A jab misses and Le counters with a hard kick across the side. Boetsch steps back to avoid a one-two combination. A nicely executed one-two combination sets up a takedown attempt from Boetsch. Boetsch eats a stiff counter left hand and almost goes down! Le comes in closer, looking to attack from the pocket. Le and Boetsch get closer, both looking eager to engage at close range. Le lets a jab sail wide and counter-strikes with a flurry of jabs and straight punches. Le throws an excellent combination but Boetsch covers up and takes them. Using head movement to slip past a left jab, Le hits a kick to the ribs. We pass the halfway mark of this round. Le throws a left jab but Boetsch uses good head movement to make sure it slips by. Le slips past a jab and scores with a kick to the inside of the left thigh. Ouch! I think Le took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

You can hear some boos from the audience, they weren't impressed with that round at all.

I'd say that was definitely 10-9 in favour of Boetsch.

Round 3

There's the bell and round number three begins! From what we could hear of his corner, it sounds like Boetsch has been instructed to try and get Le to the floor in this round. There's a stalemate as both fighters throw strikes but neither hits. Boetsch uses a feint to get Le off balance, but the nice sequence of punches that follow don't find their mark. They exchange strikes, but neither fighter inflicts any real damage. Le counters a wayward left jab with a vicious head kick, knocking Boetsch down to the ground! Le doesn't have time to capitalise though, as Boetsch recovers his wits quickly. Le leans over and throws a left hand that tags Boetsch, who is lying on his back.
