1995: War of The Worlds

Current version: 1.09

In september 1995 started something that would forever change the wrestling industry, when WCW launched WCW Monday Nitro to directly compete against WWF's flagship show, Monday Night RAW. For many years had WWF dominated the wrestling scene completely, but was now seeing serious competition from WCW. These two giants would go head-to-head on mondays for the remainder of the decade, with smaller promotions being caught and squashed in the crossfire. The Monday Night Wars had begun...

<p>Fun facts: the last version of this mod was released <strong>3½</strong> years ago, for TEW 2010 - and this version has, compared to the old one, <strong>218</strong> additional alter egos, <strong>36</strong> additional promotions, <strong>105</strong> additional tag teams, <strong>93</strong> additional titles with <strong>742</strong> additional lines of lineage and <strong>171</strong> additional workers with <strong>131</strong> additional relations between them.</p><p> </p><p>

...and more, of course! I spent quite a great deal of time updating this mod, virtually re-doing it from scratch; so I hope you guys find it enjoyable. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

And the WWF World title needs switched, as the current pic is the attitude era one.</p>

<p>This looks great. The first thing I do when I download any mod is check out the collection of future workers. Seeing Kazuchika Okada among them for this mod made me happier than it probably should have. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Part of me thinks it would be all kinds of awesome to try a 2-player Monday Night Wars diary. The other part of me is trying to work out the logistics of two players sharing a save while running shows on the same day.</p>

Elektra

George

Kimona Wanalaya

Kristi Myst

Rick Bassman

These are all people set as active wrestlers that have their style as "Never Wrestle". They should probably all be set as Non Wrestlers.

April Hunter is set as a Semi Active Wrestler with a style of "Never Wrestle". I'd set her as an semi active with regular wrestler.

Jeff Jones and Missy Hyatt are set as Semi Active Wrestlers when they should be non wrestlers.

Eric Bischoff should have high Cocky, Weasel, Wholesome, and maybe Cool gimmick performance. Currently, everything is at 50 or 20.

Shouldn't Big Bubba Rogers(Ray Traylor) be a heel in WCW at this point? I remember being a total heel in the main event of the first Nitro against Hogan.

Eddie Guerrero's name should be spelled Eddy in WCW. Fun fact: In his book he actually talked about how he preferred that spelling to his traditional spelling.

In Booker T and Stevie Ray's bios it mentions that Stevie Ray's real name is Lane, but it's not. His name is Lash Rushay Huffman.

<p>Just an observation, but for the British PPV carriers, I'd get rid of them all and only have Sky Box Office. NTL and Telewest didn't have their own service and supplied their customers Box Office events, instead. I'd set it as Big, most likely, as we don't get many events on Box Office as it is, and back in 1995 we didn't get any (as far as I remember).</p><p> </p><p>

Perhaps you could add Prime Time to debut in 2009 (late that year, not sure what month though. September / October time, I think). They would most likely be medium sized.</p><p> </p><p>

Other than that, I'm enjoying playing as WCW at a time that I actually recently watched through again. Thanks for this. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I think it'd be better if Mike Rotundo was Michael Wallstreet(his last used name in WCW before becoming IRS in WWF) in WCW instead of VK Wallstreet. He redebuted as Michael Wallstreet on the first Nitro before they changed his name a few weeks later.

I at least changed it in my game.

<p>I also just noticed that Zodiac is a face, but he was a heel at this time with the Dungeon of Doom. He didn't turn face until October or November, when Higan revealed he had a mole in the group and it was "The Booty Man" aka Zodiac.</p><p> </p><p>

Also WCW Saturday Night is set as a two hour A show, but I'm fairly certain it was only a one hour show, and should probably be set as a B show. After the debut of Nitro it started to fall down the pecking order, and while it still featured some main event talent, it'd be hard to simulate that in TEW where main eventers not being used on the show would become upset because they want to be on the A shows.</p>

<p>It would probably be better to make a seperate TNT channel (TNT-UK?) as it was no where near the size that it is in the US, and it was a totally different line up. It was basically TCM but under the TNT name. The only thing I recall it airing that wasn't a classic movie was Nitro and Thunder, and it aired between only 7PM and I think 2-3AM. At the very highest it should be medium.</p><p> </p><p>

Edit: Oh and Nitro aired at 7PM on a Friday <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Once Cartoon Network become 24/7 TNT stopped airing.</p>
