What's going on in your game?

Recommended Posts

I was just running a TV show and I got an unexpected A* match which was pretty great:

So I finish the show, then this shows up:

Was pretty bummed about that. She was the first worker death in this game, and worked in my developmental territory. I was considering borrowing her for the show, but went with Deonna Purrazzo instead.

^ Clear proof that statistics are over rated.

Stone Cold Steve Austin in late 1993? Yes, sir.

Here is the 411. The Hollywood Blonds lost the tag team titles to Royal Flush (99) due to botched interference from Roddy Piper. In the rematch (also rated 99), Pillman was selling an injury and Austin got pinned by Jericho. After the match, Pillman attacks Austin and the rest of Power join in. They end up shaving his head.

At Survivor Series, it will be Power ( Hogan, Piper, Pillman and Razor ) vs Jericho, Storm, Bam Bam Bigelow and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Going to do a segment in a Texas Bar. Jericho gives a promo about having to come to such a place to find the fourth man, then the camera switches to a man sitting alone with murderous rage on his face and a Budweiser in his hand. That man is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Also at Survivor Series, Bret Hart defends the WWF title against the Ultimate Warrior in a rare face vs face encounter.

Jack Tunney has stood down. The new WWF president is Arnie. Yes, him again. He has been appearing in segments since I started this game, but now he has total control. See ya later, Jack. I anticipate some fun Arnie and Hogan segments.

<p>Coming up to wrestlemania 1 in my 1985 game. All the pieces are in place for me to follow the real life card but I think I'm going to put my own slant on it. First off, the main event will be 3v3 to include Cowboy Bob Orton on the heel team and Jimmy Snuka on the face team. I've accepted that I won't be defending the WWF title at the first Wrestlemania which is something that makes me a bit uncomfortable but so be it. Here is the projected card for the other matches. Not in any particular order but babyfaces first.</p><p> </p><p>

Andre the Giant Vs Big John Studd. This will signal the end of the feud. With Andre in decline already it's tempting to pur Studd over, he would push well into the 80s Pop US wide if I did, but I also like Andre a lot, should I use my head or heart guys?</p><p> </p><p>

Terry Funk Vs Don Muraco. Obviously a match of my own creation, but will bring a stronger wrestling focus to the card. I always liked Funk so I might let him win and have him feud with Valentine for the IC Title post mania.</p><p> </p><p>

Junkyard Dog Vs Greg Valentine for IC Title. Valentine is so hot right now, a very good worker, gaining pop I might go against history and let him retain. Valentine vs Funk and Valentine Vs Hart for the belt is too tempting to give JYD a run unfortunately. </p><p> </p><p>

The US Express Vs The North-South Connection for tag titles. Great open matches to get the crowd fired up, I may give the belts to US Express finally.</p><p> </p><p>

Bob Backlund Vs Randy Savage. Another match of my creation. Feud started when Backlund returned and saw Miss Elizabeth backstage. She was also completely new to the fans and no one knew who she was with. When Backlund asked her for a date (in his crazy, weird way) he was brutally assaulted from behind by Savage. In game terms, Backlund was bought back to get Savage over, I have big plans for Savage, not so much for Backlund. </p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately I have no mania match for Bret Hart, which is a shame because I pushed him and he's now into the upper midcard. He's sitting at 67 pop US wide. I don't know what to do other than have him feud with someone beneath him because there is no one above him that's available to start feuding with. I could have him go against Sheik again, but he's lost a lot of his pop from other matches against Hart.</p>

<p>i have been struggling keeping any game going so decided to do something totally different, i made my own Promotion using the Dragongate logos and my own product, owner Ultimo Dragon</p><p> </p><p>

Started Sept 1995 WOTW mod</p><p> </p><p>

Jushin Liger is our main star and beat our version of Stan Hansen with John Bradshaw Layfield</p><p> </p><p>

we got a TV show in December called Open the Dragongate, February Heyman and Styles came down to the ring and announced they are taking over ECW consists of Terry Funk, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer and Taz</p><p> </p><p>

It lead to Benoit vs Taz for name rights, they fought two matches both drawing, so they announced a 5 vs 5 for Promotion rights At DGPW/ECW World Smasher, Team DGPW had Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Terry Gordy, Tony Atlas as DGPW Originals and Genichiro Tenryu who had been n the promotion since December to battle TEAM ECW, Funk,Taz, Sandman, Dreamer and Headhunter A who was an original but since B left he was directionless</p><p> </p><p>

the match was very much in ECW favour Gordy was eliminated first by Funk, before Atlas and Headhunter A was double counted out, Rey was then eliminated by Funk and Benoit by Taz, leaving a 4 on 1 as Genichiro the veteran had to take on the Extreme Wrestlers, he quickly eliminated Taz and Sandman, and Dreamer followed, leaving Funk vs Genichiro, in a brawling five minutes Genichiro was the victor, with ECW losing all influence</p><p> </p><p>

the next night Heyman came down and said the war isn't over and they all have contracts in DGPW, and he will find a way to bring Extreme back, The ECW title is still active and Funk defends here and there</p><p> </p><p>

I don't want ECW beng the main storyline so my actual storyline was the arrival of Rocky Maivia, he refused to wrestle anyone and when he actually debuted beating LA Park he considered himself Number 1 Contender and made Jushins life hell, always giving him smack after Ligers matches, eventually Liger agreed and Rocky lost clean</p><p> </p><p>

now Sandman is after Liger and Rocky wants to be the last man to beat Abdullah the Butcher, but only if he defeats Butchers new Protege Java the Butcher(Headhunter A)</p>

<p>1991 Wcw</p><p> </p><p>

Doing just fine without "Slick Rick" in '91 WCW. While he's floundering in the WWF midcard, we're putting on some sensational wrestling shows. </p><p> </p><p>

Probably my best in-game card yet in terms of "I'd order this on PPV". </p><p>

The 1 vs. 1 vs. 1 Title Unification Match brought the NWA World Heavyweight, WCW World Heavyweight and the PNW Heavyweight Title under the same banner. Billy Jack Haynes was their champ when I bought them out -- he would've done better in the North West but this was the bash and the bash happens in Crockett Country.</p><p>

Owen Hart continues to go through "The Cult" of Kevin Sullivan -- he's already beaten both Jack Victory and Rip Morgan. Sullivan got an injury in his last title defense, he's due back soon -- Owen will get to face off with new pickup Scotty Flamingo, the leader while Sullivan is on leave. </p><p>

The Enforcers took out Skip Young before the PPV, so Dusty Rhodes stepped in to help his son with the Tag Team Titles. I don't know when (and if) I bring Young back -- probably at the next PPV (Uncensored). </p><p>

Scott turned on Rick Steiner. They just start out too over for the Tag Division, so I turned Scott. He won a US Title shot with his victory (he'll face Ron Simmons). I plan to have Scott win the title eventually, but for now he's still feuding with his brother. </p><p>

The Hammer has been running an open challenge -- tapping out Ken Shamrock and Brian Pillman among others. Sting ruined his challenge, and out of frustration, Greg caused a DQ at the last PPV. Sting won the rematch clean, and will move on to another feud soon. </p><p>

DDP ended his feud with Michael Hayes. Not a huge freebird fan, and with Jimmy "Jam" Garvin showing up drunk, I pulled the trigger on the team disbanding. DDP went over big here, and looks like a star. </p><p> </p><p>

<p>I actually can't believe this. I got a 100 from a WWE Network exclusive in Japan. Also Shane McMahon was in a 93 match against Big E <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<p>I could be accused of rushing, but I'm not exactly pushing Austin down throat and I'm picturing fans being really receptive towards my version of Stone Cold Steve Austin. </p><p> </p><p>

Instead of a long build up, I'm going to do Pillman vs Austin as my main event at the final snme of the year. I may even have Pillman win just because of future plans. Instead of having an authority figure that is out to get Austin, we have an authority figure that will 'help him'. I'm not expecting Austin and Arnie to be best mates, but. I still plan to do Hogan vs Arnie and I'm thinking Summerslam 1994 for this amazing encounter. Bret will train Arnie and we will have a few movie style montages. </p><p> </p><p>

Wrestlemania 10 main event will be Hogan vs Austin. Yes, Austin will win the royal rumble again.</p><p> </p><p>

Royal Rumble 1993 world title match will be Bret Hart vs Hollywood Hogan. Bret beat Warrior at Survivor Series with a sneaky roll up due to a Jim Neidhart distraction. Bret was furious. Our magnanimous champion Bret does not like winning in such a way, even though he did roll Warrior up. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Warrior has now disappeared and will return when the time is right. . </p><p> </p><p>

Owen Hart is still involved in this and I plan to do Bret vs Owen at Wrestlemania 10, so I might have Owen cost Bret here. It may be getting a little old. I think I've managed this long story well and Wrestlemania 10 will be the conclusion. Who will have their arm raised?? I'm leaning towards Owen.</p>

To update an earlier post. Austin kept his hair. He is rocking the Early ECW look. I ended up changing the match result to draw and Pillman was about to complain. Great stuff. Austin is now a bad ass.

image.png

Bates Motel turn heel at Saturday Night Main Event 16. They lost a match with Harlem Heat and everything might have been ok, but Cactus Jack bumped into Jericho after the match and he did not like Jericho tone. Steel chair beating on Jericho and Lance followed.

Tag team division is pretty reasonable

2 Cold Scorpio won the Jr Heavyweight title on his third attempt overall. 2 dope now hold 2 single titles after RVD became IC champion. That is Dope. Dean Malenko was looking unstoppable, but a surprise title change at the final big show of the year is a reward for me giving them a draw in the final match. Booooooooo.

Raven mic went off during a recent promo and Million Dollar man phone has been having connection problems even though he is using Million Dollar technology. I believe The Undertaker has something to do with this and he will return soon. I plan to give Undertaker number 2 in the Rumble after Raven draws number 1.

<p>Ok, I'm a bit confused by what just happened in my game.</p><p> </p><p>

I rose to International! I was super excited, as I thought that I'd stay there this time.</p><p> </p><p>

I ran two TV shows, each of them with positive results (B+ overall shows) and less than a week later, I feel back down to national?</p><p> </p><p>

I'm winning the national battle with the WWE, these shows both only increased my popularity. This seems like a really quick fall that was basically just playing with my emotions!</p>

<p>Wrestlemaniai III is in the books in my WWF Risky Business game and quite an event it was.</p><p> </p><p>

In the opener. The Hart Foundation regained the WWF Tag team titles for the third time in a ladder match against the British Bulldogs. After the match, the two teams, who had been warring for months, would shake hands, turning The Hart Foundation face.</p><p> </p><p>

Randy Savage would defeat Mike Rotundo next, in what would be Rotundo's last match in the WWF. He would ask for and be granted his release the next day.</p><p> </p><p>

Managed by "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, the stable of Barry Windham, Dean Malenko, and Arn Anderson would defeat Kerry and Kevin Von Erich.</p><p> </p><p>

In the only disappointing match of the night, Ricky Steamboat beat Terry Gordy. I was hoping for more, but it only drew a 67.</p><p> </p><p>

Next up, in a grudge match, The Rat Pack (Ted DiBiase and Jim Duggan) managed to pick up the victory against High & Mighty (Rick Rude and Jake Roberts).</p><p> </p><p>

Two weeks before Wrestlemania, Magnum T.A. would get injured for a month, forcing him to find a replacement to take on King Kong Bundy, the man that injured him. That man...Andre the Giant! In a battle of big men, Andre would take down Bundy.</p><p> </p><p>

In a match to determine the number one contenders for the Tag Team titles, the Rockers would upset Demolition. </p><p> </p><p>

In the semi-main event, Mr. Perfect would put his perfect record and his Intercontinental title on the line against Scott Hall. Mr. Perfect's cockiness would be his downfall as Hall would pick up the victory and the title.</p><p> </p><p>

And finally, in the main event, Ric Flair would put his WWF World Heavyweight title up against Hulk Hogan. In the match of the night and one that had everybody on the edge of their seats for nearly thirty minutes, Hogan beat Flair to regain the WWF World title for the fourth time.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm pretty sure this is the longest I've ever played any TEW game. 2 years, 3 months, booked 212 shows. I don't see myself stopping any time soon as I have tons of plans for the future.</p>

<p>So I'm running a watcher game for the C-Verse draft we did, and my company NOVA is one of few that has maintained National status. Having dominated the Japanese scene, we have 82 pop, WWU and RJPW fel to Cult, WWU has since gained back their national status.</p><p> </p><p>

Despite having a great performance, head booker Naizen Uboshita stepped down for no apparent reason.. Stating he felt the best way for them to grow is without him.. He had 87 booking skills and was 19... I'm kinda concerned we may lose our top spot in Japan now. Anybody seen this happen in a watcher game? Company is doing great yet the booker steps down, no drop in size or pop?</p><p> </p><p>

They actually did upgrade slightly, Tasuku Iesada took over, has 89 booking skill.</p>

<p>I'm using a converted Ruthless Aggression Mod, I started in January in 2004, went up to WrestleMania with the brand split in place before ending it, I then cancelled Velocity, and renamed Heat as Superstars, I've created a dogo, based on technical wrestling ran by Ricky Steamboat and have set up a second developmental territory that tours. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Royal Rumble</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Not a great show, but I finished up the Hardcore Holly/Brock Lesnar feud with Hardcore Holly winning the gold! Kidding, Lesnar annihilated him in a barbed wire match, HBK however did win the gold in a last man standing match against Triple H. I then had Eddie win the Rumble. The Dudleys won the Tag Titles against Flair/Batista, and Mysterio beat Kidman to retain the cruiserweight title. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>No Way Out</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Brock defeated Benoit to retain the gold, Eddie defeated Randy Orton with his Wrestlemania spot on the line, (I had Orton drop the IC Title to Booker T before being traded to Smackdown) The Big Show retained the US Title against Hardcore Holly, Mysterio retained against Chavo, WGTT retained against Londrick (tainted win to set up rematch) also had Rhyno defeat Rikishi in a street fight.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WrestleMania</strong></p><p> </p><p>

HBK defeated HHH in a steel cage match to defend his title, Eddie beat Brock to win the gold, Booker T defended his IC Title against Matt Hardy, Taker beat Kane in a casket match, Jericho beat Cena in a 2 out 3 falls match, Steve Austin beat Flair, The Rock cut a promo before being interupted by Edge who DDTs him onto the concrete (Edges first appearance in my save because of his neck injury) The Big Show retained against Benoit and Orton, Trish beat Lita for Womens Title, Londrick won the tag gold in a ladder match against WGTT, I had Mick Foley defeat Batista in a Chain Match (Touch four corners), I had Mysterio defend against Ultimo Dragon and Chavo, Dudley Boyz defended against Test and A-Train in a Street Fight, I had Christian win a 20 man Royal Rumble and I started the night with Steiner squashing Goldberg in under 5 minutes, Goldbergs contract was due to expire and Triple H had turned about 20 workers against him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Backlash</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

Eddie defeated Brock and HBK in a 3 way elimination match to unify the gold, The Rock defeated Edge, Christian won the IC title against Booker T, I had Jericho defeat Taker (was meant to be Jericho/RVD and Taker/Matt Morgan, but had to send RVD rehab and Morgan can't wrestle, so changed it in the last two weeks) Benoit beat Matt Hardy, Big Show defended the gold against John Cena, Rhyno beat Bradshaw, and Dudley Boyz defeated WGTT and Londrick to unify the tag team gold, and Mysterio defeated Psychosis to defend the gold.</p><p> </p><p>

In other WWE related news, I currently have Jeff Hardy, Raven, RVD, Kurt Angle, Juventud Guerrera and X-Pac in rehab, I have changed the IC Title to Main Event status, I plan on ending the Cruiserweight Title, and have it being rebranded the European Title as Regal feuds with Mysterio, will have that as a midcard title, along with the US, my reasoning is that I feel like it will hold back my lightweight wrestlers, also I will make the tag division kind of cruiserweight based, I will introduce the TV title for lower down the card, not sure how I will do that though.</p><p> </p><p>

I have also given TNA a cash and popularity boost to make things more interesting for myself, but they currently only have one TV show, and it's xplosion which is only shown in europe for some reason.</p>

<p>I got into 2020 with my created company and had written Angry Gilmore mostly off, as a back injury kept him on the shelf for over a year and the surgery to repair it had not gone so well. When he came back I was unsure of what to do with him, so I looked at my folders of alts and came across this....</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="b73b0f1a2df3efb57e9ddf365f0d1f1b.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/b73b0f1a2df3efb57e9ddf365f0d1f1b.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

That's when I got a flash of inspiration. Angry Gilmore would become an angry old man version of Stone Cold. He somehow didn't have any ring rust, so I brought him onto TV and in his first match on TV he got a 99. Then he cut a promo that got a 100. Then he got 100 after 100, and so I booked him to win my G1 Climax ripoff tournament that decides the #1 contender for the gold.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="a7e2778b966abe76b710fadef4865d5a.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/a7e2778b966abe76b710fadef4865d5a.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

He went 6-1 during the group stage, only losing to Ross Henry. He went on to face Ernest Youngman in the Final and won with a 94 (apparently both men were very tired from wrestling 9 matches in 9 days.) Every match he had in the tournament was fire. I booked him against Champagne Lover (my figurehead) in a match for the title at the next PPV, and he pulled... a 100, as he won the title, and secured himself for a definite entry into the Hall of Immortals. The next night, I had him come out with the belt and his trophy and induct himself into the Wrestling Revolution Hall of Fame, and basically have had him begin an awesome reign of terror.</p><p> </p><p>

He had an Icon vs Icon Hour-long Ironman match against Wolf Hawkins, set with Once in a Lifetime for the title that pulled a 99 (apparently the commentary could have been better, and probably held the rating down) and solidified him as a real champion.</p><p> </p><p>

I've got a few options available to me now for moving forward. The safe option would be to put the belt back on my Figurehead, or I could go into a Champion vs Champion program with IC Champion Spencer Spade. It's funny, on a botched surgery, his career has been given a new fire and it's been an effective way for me to take the belt off of my Figurehead and give some of the guys he beat to get there some shine. I'll probably milk this run for what I can before he hits Time Decline, and then have him move to start passing the torch to younger guys coming up.</p>

<p>This is weird. I hope the game is not wrecked. My popularity hasn't dropped, no changes to product definition between the episodes of Raw. Industry is still rated high. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

hmm. I looked at WCW Saturday Night main event and their ratings had a big drop as well. I'm not worried now. Maybe it was a change in the numbers during an update or something.</p><p> </p><p>

End of year awards for 1993. </p><p> </p><p>

I won most improved company and prestige is now up to 90. I've recovered from steroid situation. </p><p>

Sensational Sherri won manager of the year and Jesse Ventura won color commentator</p><p>

Steve Austin was my highest rated wrestler at 23, Bret was 25. Ouch. </p><p> </p><p>

Randy Savage is now on time decline.</p>

<p>Royal Rumble 1994 is next. I really want to do the Undertaker angle again. lol But I can't, since Undertaker returns on the show. </p><p> </p><p>

2 Cold Scorpio defends his jr heavyweight title against Black Dragon. </p><p> </p><p>

Razor Ramon gets his shot to win the IC title for a third time. I'm not sure yet. He did just reject the WCW money. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I feel like rewarding him. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart gets the match he always wanted. Defending the title against Hollywood Hogan. </p><p> </p><p>

To add to my earlier post. Wrestling industry is way down again. Was up at 90+ now it is down to 27.</p>

<p>Just finished booking AWA SuperClash VI.</p><p> </p><p>

Guess you could say it went well:rolleyes:</p><p> </p><p>

No but seriously this is the best show I've booked so far on this save, my star wrestler The Diamond Studd (Scott Hall) will now take 6 months off for me to build a new feud. JT Southern vs. JJ Southern.</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="https://gyazo.com/511a3788d483065855ac50e8d9f6b32e" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/511a3788d483065855ac50e8d9f6b32e</a></p><p> </p><p>

The other segments on the show before the Hollywood Blonds parodying Back To The Future was The Diamond Studd opening up the show with his talk show, "Ask: The Studd" followed by Vader vs Hollywood Holly, Ray Traylor vs Ron Simmons. Then a HBK promo then Harlem Heat & The Top Guns vs. The Puerto Rican Connection and The Samoan SWAT Team.</p><p> </p><p>

(Btw the Hollywood blonds in my save are Brian Pillman & Bob Holly:p)</p>
