You can look at Bulldozer Brandon Smith as a big guy who can go. Hell's Bouncer is a bit worse than Smith, but also a lot more affordable.

I would suggest you find him a tag partner called The Sexual Funkasaurus that's a cross between Brodus Clay and Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry :p

I just dropped USPW down to Cult due to their poor shows and my pwning them in National Battles. I learned this due to the only email being the National Battle in Canada; no News Story about it.

/shrug

/gimme Nicky Champion dammit

/Darn you Joss Thompson for re-signing!

Had the same thing happen but Champion's contract just came up. It looks like I'll be getting him as TCW doesn't have the money and SOTBPW (which is 3rd in national battles in the US) isn't making a bid. It's perfect timing too since Marat Khoklov just took the belt off Rogue and Champion would start his contract shortly before their feud ends at the next PPV.

But really I just want to get Champion close enough to the Hall of Immortals that he and Bruce have a once in a lifetime match to close out a Supreme Challenge. Probably in 2018.

There isn't really that much going on right now but I think the main story backstage for me is that due to a recent injury, Sami Zayn became addicted to pain killers. SummerSlam is just behind the corner and he's returning from rehab in there and I feel like I can't make any big plans for him because this was his second time failing the drug test and the last time I trusted him, he failed the test a few weeks after winning a title. So I'm a bit hesitant with him.

On his return, I put him in as the 3rd man in the World title picture given thr World champ was present in the mat he he was injured in. After the PPV he tested positive for painkillers so I sent him to rehab for 4 months and he's improved his behaviour.

If you can spare Zayn for 4-7 months, his personality should be happy with it, or he'll just go along with it for 1-3 months. Shouldn't see a negative reaction.

Guys, am I crazy for not really digging Joey Morgan?

This sort of fits here I guess, I certainly didn't think it deserved its own thread. I just wondered what the consensus was. I like him and all, like he's fine. But I really don't see him as anything other than "a good hand". I'm in the first couple months of my SWF save and he still has my North American Championship and he's been a fine champ, even main eventing episodes of Supreme TV in his defences, but I don't see him ever progressing beyond that.

He has some of the best top row stats in the company and his in-ring work is great but his promos aren't exactly setting the world on fire and to say he doesn't work house shows and earns double what everyone bar Jack Bruce earns it just feels like the SWF reached when they signed this one.

He hasn't helped his cause by having a falling out with me backstage my first night on the job, either

You can love or hate anyone you want in the Cverse. That's part of its fun. Minnesota/Morgan is an easy guy to dislike, for exactly the reasons you listed. He's a jerk backstage, SWF paid heavily for him, and he's a not prototypical SWF talent.

Personally, I love the guy, despite those faults. He started out in DAVE, so he has a great historical connection. He came into TCW as a nobody and worked his way up the card to be a star. I think he was the most skilled wrestler under 30 in the 2013 version of the Cverse. So more than enough reason to put up with that personality. The theft by the SWF makes sense - he's a great in-ring talent, great Star Quality, and it hurts a main rival. Sure, he's not great on the mic, but neither was Sam Keith and he's one of the great SWF stars ever. You can hide that issue with a manager/mouthpiece/advocate, and with his SQ, Minnesota/Morgan tends to improve. I don't think there are many active workers who have the DAVE/TCW/SWF combo of employment history so it makes him relatively unique.

In real world terms, there have been plenty of examples of companies going outside of their "typical" star for someone. In the WWF/E, you have examples like Shawn Michaels (size), Bret Hart (size and promos), Chris Benoit (promos), Daniel Bryan, Eddie Guerrero, etc.

Planning on using him for a couple of key points. He will continue his connection with Tommy, teaming , feuding etc and be the link for when Tommy's son comes into the game world. If Tommy retires before his son gets to my company, he will be the manager and Wolf with be Tommy Jr partner etc.

I get the weird teams because it's a memorial show but I'm shocked Hogan would put over Raven and Chavo. Chavo's done nothing in my save but take the L in Eddie + Chavo matches and Raven an upper midcarder at best. It's weird.

I hate Hulk Hogan so much in game. First , He started negotiating with the WWF after I had to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship because he refused to drop it to either Hart or Sting at PPV. Now he's suing me for wrongful termination after I fired him for starting a fight backstage.

I may have over reacted but Hogan , Hall , Nash and Bischoff are the worst people in this entire company. They refuse to put anyone over and constantly start fights with other talent backstage. Hell, Nash ran Piper out of the company by himself. Not that I had any long-term plans for Piper anyways but he still could've been used as a nostalgia pop.

So it's week 1 of April in 2016 for my current USPW game. We, as always have substantial $$$ in the bank and remain #1 in the world. Go us.

Frehley won his feud with Champion thanks to interference by Shaffer, starting their own feud, but is currently having to deal with Rick Law, coming off the victory in his own feud. I'm thinking Law takes this one currently.

As an aside to those out there, is anyone else having Frehley be a little touchy in whom he will accept a loss from without the 'keep strong' note put on him or is it just me?

Marat Khoklov, almost always a must hire, made his debut by wiping out James Justice. Justice has fought back admirably though, but remains down 2 losses to 1 victory to the russian beast.

The tag titles were quickly taken off of The Cold Warriors as punishment of Novak's steroid problem and they most likely won't be seeing it again until I'm confident his problem's behind him. He's already been suspended twice and I'm running out of patience with the guy....

Natural Storm are our current tag champions, being harassed by Rich Money's cohorts The 1%. The team consists of Joss Thompson and Nelson Callum.

The women's title is still on Melody, but I'm thinking she losses it to her current feud in J-Ro. With Strong back from injury the follow up feud writes itself, really.

The National Title is on Edd Stone (swiped from TCW), Rick Law gave up the title to go after the World title so Edd won a 6 way dance for the belt. The Television title is on newcomer Ross Henry who's defended it well.

As an I also like the emails of your workers giving praise or opinions of their fellow workers. Here are some of mine:

Enygma thinks American Patriot deserves more promo time.(possibly)

Ross Henry thinks Cali Slick is a future star (agree)

Ross Henry also thinks Rockin' Ryan Turner 'has a lot of upside'(possibly)

Krusher Karloff Thinks El Mitico Jr is a future star(agree)

For now I'm in a slow 'build up the guys I think are worth it while slowly lowering the one's who aren't' mode. Guys like the 1%, Rick Law, Casey Valentine, Colossus, Greg Gauge, and Ernest Youngman are slowly being featured/winning more than others.

No real surprises so far and no one's been deemed 'toxic' just yet. Both TCW and SWF have dropped to cult and I finally won a national battle against SOTBPW, monsters that they are...

In a bidding war against TCW,SWF,and NOTBPW, for Sammy Bach, whom I will slot right in at the top of my card.

HOWEVER, I plan to add a rule to my playing that anyone that I steal from a competitor that slots into my upper midcard or main event, I then must ALSO select a worker that is equal to or greater popularity and put him on my blacklist and NEVER touch him. So for example if I manage to steal Bach, I have to select a worker that has the possibility of working for me, like Rocky Golden or Jack Bruce for example, and they then go on my blacklist. This will help keep me from stealing EVERYONE of value and both overloading my roster and killing my competitors. Thoughts? Suggestions?

That moment when you're trying to hire someone and two other companies want him too and you end up giving them creative control and hiring veto on a 5 year contract just so you can have them for the one storyline you have planned for them. I hope Ziggler isn't a total douche when it comes to this. Lost him relatively early in my game pretty much out of nowhere and now I'm bringing him back.

Gonna miss out on signing Matt Keith early cos Richard Eisen won't cough up the dollar that BHOTWG are offering him. Understandable and I saw it coming but I'm still sorry to miss out on him. I aren't too bummed though. If USPW had swooped in for him that might have been another story but I'm happy for him to continue honing his skills and raising his profile in Japan.

I want to pick up Ernest Youngman while he's still under the radar (a big favourite of mine from previous years. He and Spencer Spade should be headlining Supreme Challenge in years to come) but I'm waiting to see if PSW will take their belt off of him as I don't wanna be too preditory - particularly as I'll be sending him to RIPW for the time being
