I’ve opened up a child company in Japan, would it make sense to form an alliance with all my child companies from around the world to give me access to region specific wrestlers? I want to introduce a women’s division to my 1999 WWF game soon and would love to include some of the Japanese females.

What would be the pros and cons of this?

EDIT: another quick question, should my child companies product be the same as my main companies product?

How can 70 be a cap, when it can go over?

This is my WCW US title prestige lineage... It was 71 for 10 months, before I changed it to "floating".

How is 10 months considered "temporary"? :/

PS: Not trying to start a fight or something like that, I'm just really curious

It's out of your control, I believe - elimination order only comes up in battle royals.

if it helps, just imagine that the other 6 ganged up on them and it needed a big pile-on pin to eliminate them from the match.

Thanks, I'll do that. :D

I'd like to see elimination order and number of falls in an iron man/2 out of 3 falls match put within our control in a future game. (No idea how much effort is involved in doing that of course, so very easy for me to say that.)

What match types should not be done in front of an audience who's at an emotional high?

Another way of asking... What matches should ONLY be used following "Calm The Crowd"? I am trying to make a list for personal reference, and so far I've got Technical Masterclass and I suspect Epic but am not sure. Any others?

1) What do Developmental Trainers actually do and what stats do they need to do it?

2) Do some wrestlers just have stats so bad that they'll never be good no matter how high their potential roll is?

3) Do mentors personalities rub off on their protegees? Because I had Johnny The Bull become a negative locker room influence after Hogan became his mentor.

Is it automatic over time, does it involve segments? Inquiring minds...

2. Yes. It's a thing. Not everyone is going to get psychology + basics to 75, even if they have excellent potential. There's your roll for your potential, yes, but then there's a second cap set by your Destiny Roll. So, you might have a guy with excellent potential with no cap in Top Row Skills like brawling, but is capped at 60 Psychology from destiny roll. In this case, the wrestler will slowly downgrade to their new lower ceiling. Potential isn't everything, but it's a lot. You can get a clue about whether or not someone's got a good destiny roll using comments from the "Creative Meeting" screen, and sometimes the "Internet" screen will have someone give an interview revealing something about their destiny roll (they're nervous about big matches = bad main eventer, for example).

3. It can happen, I've seen mentors influence personality traits. Now, are you sure he developed this trait? How do you know that he didn't already have this trait hidden by FOW then you discovered it? If it starts with one personality type but changes to the opposite, you have an influenced change. But if it doesn't say anything and suddenly he's egotistical and selfish, well he might have always been but FOW hid it from you.

So I decided to do a little experiment. In my 2000 game I started a new fed in the editor, moved in 10 prospects with terrible base stats and checked their reports. Then edited all of their potential to 'excellent' and tried again. The first time around I, much to my surprise, had one worker's report come in as 'excellent'. The second time I had 2 workers with a 'fantastic' report.

I did this to see if there were ever even any actual point to signing the Great Khalis of the world in hope that they could turn into something amazing. Because I love signing too many people to my development territories.

3)I don't run fog of war. I checked Johnny the Bull's current personality in the editor against his baseline. It was much worse. Now I gotta dump Johnny out of the airlock and hope Hogan doesn't decide to mentor any young talent I actually like.

It's easier to go from 10-30 than 50-70 in skills, in my experience. I've often gone through and snapped up the unemployed + unemployable to turn them into something half way to half decent, as then they have a better chance of getting regular work, which is the real way of improving.

Development will fill out the initial gaps, but it takes regular full-time employment in a senior company to really push most workers to their limits.

Which is wonderful, as Ricky Steamboat has taken Marcus Bagwell under his wing in my game :D

How big an impact does the state of the business have on a company's popularity gains? I've just noticed that the business has hit 0 in my game, and I'm wondering how much of an impact that's had on my company's (lack of) growth.

A lot.

I was running a 0/0/0 company and once the Wrestling Industry had dropped to single digits and suddenly it's taking me 4-5 shows to gain a full point of pop, despite putting on shows a full 30 points higher than my current popularity.

Once the Industry had rallied to even 35 I was gaining a point ever other show or so.

Quick question about the 2005 CVerse data... I'm reading an old thread about TCW in TEW 2005, and they have Brent Hill and Human Arsenal as members of TCW as Wrestling Machines 1 & 2, but in my 2005 data, they're both unemployed. Is this just an oversight and I should add them to the roster to be canonically correct? Or does this data start on a different date (December 2005) than the default data from TEW 2005?

Also, if I add them to the roster, anyone know what experience I should give them, what disposition they are, and if they had a tag finisher?

Any insight appreciated.
