and if I rate my guys on overness in angles, will their ent skills still go up? or do I need to rate than on ent skills> cuz e.g I tried booking Aaron Andrews in overness only segments, and his mic skills went up but charisma and acting down. also, if someone has high pop, will they perform better even if they are rated on ent skill?

<p>Looking for some advice on running an alliance. I am hoping to have companies in different countries (i.e. the flagship fed in the U.S. that I run, along with a Mexican, Japanese, UK & possibly Canadian company), that all have their own titles, but share a World & Tag Team titles through the alliance.</p><p> </p><p>

I have played in an alliance with existing companies like PGHW & NOTBPW one game, which worked okay. I have also played around running all of the companies myself through a brand split, which was also okay. </p><p> </p><p>

I was thinking of starting a new game, where I would open up child companies and invite them into the alliance. Has anyone tried this/do you think it would work well? Three specific questions/concerns I have:</p><p>

* since they are my child companies, would they all accept the alliance invite or would it depend on the owner that I assign and their preferences?</p><p>

* ideally, I would like some star power on the child company rosters. What is the likelihood that big names I poach from other companies (SWF, TCW, USPW, etc,) would accept assignment to the child companies? Is there a personality type, age or stat that makes it more likely they would accept to train wrestlers down there? I haven't figured out what makes some willing to do this, while others won't. </p><p>

* would the child companies borrow the alliance belts/champions as much as larger companies like PGHW & NOTBPW do?</p>

<p>So I've got a really fun game going with SOTBPW and I'm looking to get International. The problem is while I have decent growth in the States, it's still glacial and it's worse everywhere else.</p><p> </p><p>

If I run shows in these areas to get exposure, that should help right? Say, a weekly show in Canada for a few months. That would help me get to the point where I can get a broadcasting deal?</p><p> </p><p>

In addition to that, I'm struggling to push my Mexican pop past 85, even after a string of 90+ rated shows. Is there any reason? No issue with National Battles etc.</p>

<p>I started a Montreal Aftermath save as the booker of WWF, and I'm currently in Nov 1999. A lot of contracts have come up for renewal both at WCW and WWF.</p><p> </p><p>

The problem is that Vince won't give me the money to compete with the contracts that WCW are offering. This is despite having over $130m in the bank, dwarfing WCW's $50m.</p><p> </p><p>

Is there anyway to make myself the owner, or use the in game data editor to make Vince more generous with his money?</p>

Otherwise, focus on Ontario and Quebec. Those two spots offer the most bang for the buck.</p>

<p>I'm confused about something... If I am a regional company making my way to Cult, no TV show, and I run a show in a region where I have spillover... how does this affect Recent Fortunes?</p><p> </p><p>

Are Recent Fortunes consistent no matter what region the show is in? Or do I have to try and balance wins and losses for each worker for each region separately?</p><p> </p><p>

In my OLLIE save, I realize now that Phoenix II has never won a match in South Eastern Mexico... five straight losses in a row at shows in that region. But inbetween those shows, he has won matches in West Central Mexico. I realize now that I have been balancing his wins and losses without any consideration of the region. Now I'm wondering if I need to worry about rehabilitating him in the South East.</p>

What are people's thoughts on the Fog of War in TEW nowadays? I'm sure it's down to a matter of taste mainly, and I lean towards the side of using it as I tend to prefer the challenge, but why do you use (or not) the feature yourself?

Fog of War is one of my favorite features. I'm the kind of person who, against my own best judgement, will lean towards playing the game to "win". If I could see the stats of every employee, you'd know damn well I would sign all the best wrestlers in my price range every time. You can see a lot of people lean towards that still. Logan Wolfsbaine, El Mitico Jr, Ernest Youngman, Keiths and Gauges almost always make an appearance in someone's regional-level American fed, and with good reason.

However, there's so many hidden gems who might not be as good in the ring as the above "golden boys" but you might fall in love with as a character and be able to really get around booking. Fatigue is what kills many a game, and that fatigue in my experience comes from being unable to think up storylines and really get into the CHARACTERS of the wrestlers I hired. Fog of War keeps me from just looking at stats and weighing character as well when hiring, and I've been pleasantly surprised with a number of wrestlers I probably never would have touched if I could see their actual stats.

An added bonus is when you have a long running game, you slowly get to see more and more of your wrestlers stats who have been working with you, and you get to see them progress and improve. I am grateful for Fog of War and I'm sure many others enjoy the feature as well. It sits on that line of people who treat TEW as a simulation game or a creative writing/storytelling engine. The people who lean towards a raw sim I feel would prefer Fog of War less than those who are looking to use it as a platform to write compelling stories.

so if I hv an angle with 4 people, and I rate 1 of them on ent skills, all of their ent skills will go up the same amount as if they were all rated on ent skills?

also does dirty doctor sometimes make your wrestlers high? like in the road agents note and in decision

You know recent fortunes was removed from TEW2016 and merged with Momentum right?

If not, they were merged and looking at the worker's momentum will answer your question instantly.

I never understood that to be the case. In the Developer's Journal, there is a direct reference to where gimmick changes can now potentially reset a worker's Recent Fortunes, so it doesn't sound to me like they are gone per say.
