Bio: Da Reef (Noel Turk) is a very respected Australian official. Trained initially to be a wrestler he developed instead into a competent referee. A SBL original, Da Reef was one of the few men able to manage Kerry Anderson’s madness. He got weary of his in ring antics over the years until reaching the boiling point in mid 2005. During a championship match between Anderson and Mr. Deathmatch, Turk out of nowhere smashed a mirror on SBL owner’s skull, awarding the three count and the title to Mr. Deathmatch. On his way to the backstage, he picked up a microphone declaring “Seven years of bloody bad fortune. So long, sucker!” Da Reef resurfaced a few months later as the DAA official, the first of many people moving from Queensland to Perth.

A bulky big man grown in a farm nearby Emerald and a member of the initial SBL roster, he is known for his patented one handed chokeslam called Got Beef. The second ever Outback Champion, Burton was forced to retire in April 1991 after a combo of a major concussion and a broken neck due to a bizarre cooking accident. Kerry Anderson took advantage of the situation, booking Beefy as an agent of chaos, randomly chokeslamming people in angles and matches. In December 1993 Anderson no showed and Burton took charge of the backstage: a blessing in disguise as SBL held its first event rated more than OK. Once again KA took the ball and promoted his friend as head booker and road agent. After 25 years Burt still run the shows and still gives beef, much the joy of SBL fans.
