<strong>PSW WEEKLY</strong></p><p>

Monday, week 2, November 2008</p><p>

Broadcast on STNC on Tuesday night</p><p>

Announcers: Potter & Dusty Rhodes</p><p>

Littlejohn Coliseum, Clemson, South Carolina</p><p>

<img alt="images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRpd1eCyi4nd_rrgmYFUfpfqhugRW7MdJg4GbtoaNjiDf4gh1jjmg" data-src="https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRpd1eCyi4nd_rrgmYFUfpfqhugRW7MdJg4GbtoaNjiDf4gh1jjmg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart is in the ring. He says he has a company to thank for PSW's growth over their first seven and a half years and that is STNC. Without them, PSW would not have grown as big as they have. However, now it is time for PSW to take the next step. With regret, PSW are not renewing the TV contract with STNC but he tells the fans not to worry as PSW Weekly will have a new home from December as the show will move to America One, which will allow PSW to grow further in new regions, regions that America One broadcast in. Potter is seen with a huge smile on his face at the announce desk. <strong>86</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Low Ki v Teddy Hart</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Low Ki defeated Teddy Hart in 10:01 by pinfall. <strong>61</strong></p><p>

Teddy Hart has lost his last five matches.</p><p> </p><p>

National champion Chris Jericho and his Code of Honour challenger Adam Copeland bump into each other backstage. The two engage in a war of words, not only disagreeing about who is the better wrestler, but also disagreeing about whether The Highlight Reel or the Cutting Edge is better. I'm sure Vince McMahon would be pleased if he saw this segment… The two finish by saying that he will walk out of Code of Honour as the champion. <strong>82</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Sting did good work at ringside.</p><p>

Roderick Strong is improving in rumble skills.</p><p>

Roderick Strong has won his last eight matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Dusty Rhodes interviews Yoshihiro Tajiri. Rhodes asks the Buzzsaw about relegation from the Grappler's League Premier Division last season. Tajiri says he aims to bounce straight back up but recognises that it will be tough with Chris Jericho, Adam Copeland and Rob Van Dam all in the First Division this season. <strong>56</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Carly Colon v Matt Sydal</strong></p><p>

Carly Colon is improving in performance skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage and Eiji Ezaki sings to AJ, a short song he has written about the Grappler's League Premier Division and how he will win this season. AJ, the reigning Grappler's League champion is not impressed. <strong>52</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cade Thesz (National Tag Team champion) v Colt Cabana</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Colt Cabana defeated Cade Thesz in 13:07 by pinfall with a Colt 45. <strong>61</strong></p><p>

Colt Cabana seemed off his game.</p><p>

Cade Thesz has lost his last five matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>PRE SHOW</p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Spanish Announce Team defeated Christian York & Joey Matthews in 8:41 when Joel Maximo defeated Joey Matthews by submission. <strong>54</strong></p><p>

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Matt Sydal defeated Christopher Daniels in 10:44 by pinfall. <strong>70</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR3Z9cuPlqjHqQ83WAFAfPFZ9Aa_dB8cP1muGJqux-rMdzF9L5U</span></p><p>

<strong>CODE OF HONOUR 2008</strong></p><p>

Sunday, week 2, November 2008</p><p>

Florida State Expo Hall, Tampa, Florida</p><p>

<img alt="images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNi7mcVG3O5qzu39qBc_HwdI5UMnYif_Kkhje8-4mhZZ7vCdTFDg" data-src="https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNi7mcVG3O5qzu39qBc_HwdI5UMnYif_Kkhje8-4mhZZ7vCdTFDg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Alex Wright v Randy Orton</strong></p><p>

Following Orton's backstage assault on Wright recently, the German came into this match all guns blazing and clearly wanted to hurt his opponent. This played right into Orton's hands, who's calculating style allowed him to pick off Wright in a decent opening match. The end came in 13:35 by pinfall with an O-Zone. <strong>60</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Caprice Coleman v Yoshihiro Tajiri</strong></p><p>

The two didn't click which led to an awkward bout which was unfortunate as the action was decent. Tajiri was relegated last season but he made a good start to the new campaign by despatching Coleman in 11:05 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. <strong>61</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/Generic04_zpsownldjao.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>PSW YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Kevin Steen (champion) v Davey Richards</strong></p><p>

Steen has been a very impressive Youth champion so far and he continued his reign with a very good win over Richards, who didn't help himself by under performing. This led to a comfortable defence for the champion who rounded off the match in 13:40 by submission with a Sharpshooter. Kevin Steen makes defence number 7 of his PSW Youth Championship title. <strong>63</strong></p><p>

Kevin Steen has won his last seven matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Adam Copeland is backstage. He says he is going to kick Jericho's ass tonight and win the National Championship. He then poses for five seconds. <strong>80</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE THIRD DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Jeff Jarrett v John Cena</strong></p><p>

Jarrett has to be considered the hot favourite to win the Third Division, though he does have some tough opponents who will raise their game against him. John Cena was one, who put in a very impressive display and only just came up short in 10:57 as Jarrett took the spoils by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock. <strong>79</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Daniel Lyon v Lance Storm</strong></p><p>

Like Jarrett, Lance is the clear favourite in the Second Division and he was clinical against his first opponent of the season. Lyon performed well, but he was simply outclassed by the former National champion, who won in 13:57 by submission with a Canadian Maple Leaf. <strong>66</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

AJ Styles v Eiji Ezaki</strong></p><p>

There was some great action in this one though a lack of psychology hurt the match. AJ seemed off his game as Ezaki chalked up his biggest win in PSW to date, upsetting the reigning Grappler's League champion and three time National champion in 17:53 by pinfall with a Phoenix Splash. <strong>70</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho is backstage, with his National Championship belt draped over his right shoulder. He tells Adam Copeland he doesn't have time to pose, he is busy creating highlights and defending his championship. <strong>88</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/GenericTagTeam02_zpsa9f639bc.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>PSW NATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Cade Thesz & Rob Van Dam (champions) v CM Punk & Colt Cabana</strong></p><p>

The rematch from Crowning Glory VIII did not disappointing as the four men put on a thrilling match that went back and forth and saw many near falls. Was it better than the Crowning Glory first match? No, but it was just about on par with it. The result was the same, as the reigning champions beat the previous champions in 21:45 when Rob Van Dam defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall with a Frog Splash. Cade Thesz & Rob Van Dam make defence number 1 of their PSW National Tag Team Championship titles. <strong>80</strong></p><p>

Cade Thesz & Rob Van Dam win their ninth straight match.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/Generic11_zps25f9747a.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>PSW NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Chris Jericho (champion) v Adam Copeland</strong></p><p>

A tremendous match, perhaps just a shade below Jericho's title defence against AJ Styles last month at Crowning Glory VIII. It had everything – intense action, high flying, brawls around the ring, near falls and a ref bump. When the dust settled, it was the champion who had his arms raised in 31:31 by submission with a Lion Tamer. Chris Jericho makes defence number 6 of his PSW National Championship title. The near ten thousand fans in attendance all rose to give the pair a tremendous ovation after the match. <strong>98 – match of the night</strong></p><p>

Adam Copeland is improving in technical skills.</p><p>

Chris Jericho wins his tenth match in a row.</p><p>
