One, evidently FTA gives a noticeable pop increase which can throw things off, and two, they'd likely end up going broke. Al talked about it with his 1980 mod he's working on and said that those were the reasons he's going to use Commercial too. So, it is a TEW thing.</p>

<p>I haven't played much due to way too much good TV, but two things that I have run into so far that need tweaking.</p><p> </p><p>

1. Fabulous Moolah needs to have her retirement age set to at least 1980 (56 I think). She started in my WWWF game 7 years past her prime. I know she's a hard case to do in TEW since women wrestlers tend to fade in their mid-30's in the game, but this might give her a chance. It just seems weird to have to fire her or set her as trainer/road agent from the get go.</p><p> </p><p>

2. Ole Anderson is set to an excursion as he's working in Japan at the time. As someone who played such a huge role in several feds in the 70's and early 80's, that's weird. I haven't dealt with the excursion feature though so it might fix itself. Andre the Giant is set to one as well.</p>

<p>I love this Mod Mammoth!!! Thank you so much!</p><p> </p><p>

I thought I would share with you my two favorite Road Agent infograms to date...</p><p> </p><p>

"Cyclone Soto and Killer Karl Kox have really bonded over their shared love of 80's power ballads." - March 1, 1970</p><p> </p><p>

"Victor the Wrestling Bear and Gary Hart are a good pairing, they play off of each other well." - I smell a sitcom!!</p><p> </p><p>

"The challenger, Victor The Wrestling Bear, floors the champion, Fritz Von Erich, with his title belt and then high tails it out of there, taking the belt with him." - OK, I am having way too much fun here!!</p>

Andre The Giant, according to WrestlingData.com, only wrestled in Japan in 1970.

Ole Anderson wrestled exclusively there until February

I don't have the game open, but both of their excursions probably end within the first couple months of the game.

Sorry, I wasn't clear on that, but Andre's is for the French fed he started wrestling in, not a Japanese fed, which he wrestled a ton in throughout his career with WWWF as his main fed. And if Ole is only there until Feb, he shouldn't be set to be on excursions to begin with.

One thing that I think you need to look at Mammoth is the resilience setting on your Figureheads. That's the only negative Bruno has, and he shows up as a good figurehead that his helping WWWF yet people are saying he gets the boot by the AI. I'm assuming it is resilience since the note is "He might be too injury prone." That might explain why the AI is chucking all of the figureheads in week 1. The only major injury the guy ever had was a broken back in 1976, and he only took just over a month off of that. Granted that was due to Vince Sr. begging him to come back because sales were horrible for the huge baseball stadium show.

And I'm assuming all of the 64's in selling were so everyone would trigger the no-selling penalty? 66.0 passes that so I'm assuming that's what you were going for as there are a ton of 64 selling wrestlers. Not saying that is good or bad, just asking.

Only other things I've seen are Piper, at 15, won't sign a developmental deal which is likely due to his personality as he is on the hot prospect list so should have sizeable stat growth room. Personally, any 15 year old should readily sign a developmental deal because all they're doing in real life is wrestling for tiny feds in bingo halls while training. And Bruno needs his psych boosted. For such a legendary wrestler, he shouldn't be failing to carry a match. Not saying it should be amazing, but at least low-to-mid 70's should be the target area. Anything less means you're going to take the belt off of him quite quickly or lop-side your fed towards heels to carry him. I just bumped him up to 72 in my game fwiw.

Can't wait to get into some 1970's UK wrestling.<p> </p><p> Is there an update in the works to fix the figurehead change or has it already been done? just wondering if it's worth waiting a little?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Honestly, unless it causes a bunch of them to leave their feds, having the AI firing all of their figureheads doesn't do a whole lot. I haven't gone nearly far enough in my game to find that out though. With a weekly house show in their biggest area and a TV show, no one should be going broke so lacking a figurehead isn't the end of the world. It's well worth playing right now.</p><p> </p><p> And one last note on Bruno's psych. Even though there is nothing in the Figurehead +/- for psychology, bumping him up to that 72 like I did somehow jumped his bonus from 6% and 20% boosts (attendance and merch sales respectively) to 11% and 40%. So, my money press with the WWWF is cranking into high gear.</p>

WWWF just seems like easy mode to me. From a starting position they are about two years of good business away from the beginning of the end.

If you don't start your own network, I don't see how you can kill everyone off. The Big 3 networks aren't truly national networks as they only cover 5 regions so you can't really go National without starting your own network. No PPV's either, though money is going to be rolling in by the truckload without it. In fact, unless you run your weekly "house" show in the 3 of the 6 areas your initial TV deal doesn't cover (and again, the Big 3 networks cover just those 5 areas so upgrading doesn't solve anything), you'll drop to 0 in those 6 areas making hitting National impossible unless a national syndication option becomes available later on. Also, I don't know what growth you're getting in your game, but I'm getting a whopping 0.1 from my TV shows even in the 3 low pop areas with high 70's shows. That's with a mid-50's Industry and medium positive product (default). So with that "growth", you'll hit National in about 40 years. 1 point every 10 months. Oof.

There's too much talent for you to truly horde it all as well. Now, can you get the true cream of the crop, excepting the Funks and the owners/main guys of their feds (like Gagne)? Yes, but you can't get them all, and it won't kill off the other feds by itself. This isn't the late 80's where the talent drain was massive, and people had cable to see WWF putting on such great shows compared to what others were doing.

Now, what can kill them off is the AI shows getting gutted every single time by the production level penalties IF it causes them to get kicked off TV. That production penalty needs to be addressed by Adam because I've seen 20 point hits in this mod and others, including CV. Even then, if they keep the weekly show, they should stay financially healthy and at Regional.

One of the biggest changes I'd like to see Mammoth put in is starting feds at around 20 points lower with maybe 10 point drops in most top workers. It would make things more realistic (starting with 30k attendance for house shows is way too much), and it would eliminate the issue of losing pop all the time. You just can't book a show that doesn't drop your pop in that 80 region. There's too many pysch or selling penalties. You're booking really great shows for a Cult fed (high 70's) so you get a little deflated, at least I do. Now, once you go for several months, you'll build people up enough to where that stops being a problem, for the most part.

Yes, he may have been wrestling in France at this time but as I don't have any French promotions, I felt it was just as easy to put him on an excursion to Japan (so he only wrestles there) but then lead him to America by having him "return" there after his excursion. As I said in my opening posts, I haven't actually played the game so I don't know if it works out this way or not, but that was the idea. The same idea pretty much applies to Ole too, as he wrestled exclusively for Japan in January, 1970 before obviously returning to America. As you say, that might be unnecessary but the reason I did it this way was so that I could use the "Sent by" feature in excursions to ensure that Jim Crockett Promotions basically get first dibs on the Minnesota Wrecking Crew after their trip to Japan. </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="smartman" data-cite="smartman" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42829" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>One thing that I think you need to look at Mammoth is the resilience setting on your Figureheads. Like I think I've told you (or maybe someone else) before, I usually start at "C" and work either backwards or forwards from there on a statistic so having lots of C's in that particular category (where a lot of wrestlers sit due to not being either good or bad at selling) doesn't surprise or bother me. This awesome mod puts my butt in the seat for weeks now! I didn't make much progress in the game, though - I'm too busy reading all those excellent biographies.

Thank you. I'm really proud of the whole modification to be honest (and I'm amazed that there hasn't been any problems with the transition to TEW16) but the biographies and, without wanting to sound arrogant, the attention to detail is perhaps the thing I'm most proud of.

As the facebook meme says, everyone is talking about Territory Daze and I'm just over here hoping that he's still working on the 2006 mod. :D

There's a Facebook meme? I don't use Facebook and don't frequent any other website that talks about TEW, I only get my news/information from these boards. xD I'm sorry I haven't clarified before but Shifting Sands (2006) is something that is most definitely still in the works. ;)

Seriously guys, the modification has been downloaded over 1,100 times, so I can't thank each and every one of you enough. Plus, that's only the downloads that I can keep track of through Mediafire as I've been told the data has been uploaded elsewhere too, so yeah, I'm totally amazed.

<p>Well the meme's are "Everyone is talking about "Insert whatever here" and I'm just over here doing "insert whatever"</p><p> </p><p>

Such as mine which is "Everyone is talking about having kids and I'm just over here wondering why Batman keeps letting The Joker **** up Arkham City"</p><p> </p><p>

Glad to hear that Shifting Sands is still on. The Beta for it looks amazing and I'm currently doing a 2005 watch through so I can start on Shifting Sands when it comes out. </p><p> </p><p>

Not my intention to take away from this one though because this mod is amazing. I just don't know enough about the time frame to really enjoy it but I can definitely appreciate the amount of work that went into it.</p>

Thanks for this mod, Mammoth! It's a little sad that Rickard's promotion in New Zealand is too poorly documented to include, as the Australia region could use another fed. But I can't really hold that against you.

However, the implementation of Joint Promotions is fantastic. I'm going to try going all "McMahon" on the the UK - just signed Big Daddy and he agreed to lose weight!
