I legit use a notebook and carry it around with me. When I'm on public transportation or on break at work I jot down notes. On top are my matches, on the bottom are the angles to corresponding storylines.</p>

This is legit what needs to be added in to TEW 19 (or the next iteration), just an example of it in action (on Office 2003 and there is no issues at present). But in TEW terms:

YFKwWc.jpg

A 45 year old Christopher Daniels vs a 39 year old Brock Lesnar.

Definitely a fan mate well done.

***EDIT***

Slight mistake with formula on O9 N9 (Comparison Sheet) but sorted it by dragging the formula from N3 and O3 down to the bottom of the comparison column.

Good idea on the tag teams mate, let me know the sort of thing you might be after and I will see about knocking it up. The contract remaining days has been added so will link that one after a couple more bits/ideas have been done :).

Cheers mate, thanks a lot. The issue you are seeing, I'm not getting i'm afraid, was it just out of sync for you? Interesting comparison between Daniels and Lesnar.

Wonder if mod makers might enjoy it just to see graphically when they create some workers how they compare with others when setting their stats etc.

OK I cant seem to get this to work, and before I post in technical support I just wonder if anyone has any ideas. When I select the DB to use I get the message "DataFormat.Error: Not a valid password" this is on any save I try.... none of which have passwords on the games?

As someone who lightly dabbles in excel, this looks really cool. What type of chart is that called?

It's an excel file mate yeah, I have put instructions on the frontage of the file to show Excel 2016 users how to update it to their data.

For Excel 2013 users, you may need to download the Power Query add-in from the Microsoft Support page.

The only thing I am trying to figure out at the moment is changing the Popularity region without having to go into the formula.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j145/richard_fox/ExcelTEWComparisonPopFormulaChanges_zpse8sefm1z.jpg

In order to change this for your specific area, you will need to change the highlighted text to the area name. At the moment I need to figure out how to use the area name as a drop-down list and for the popularity to change based on BOTH the worker name and the area name. This isn't as easy as I thought it would be as the worker name is a value in the data whereas the area name is a column name in the data.

I am completely open to suggestions/opinions etc. on what to do to expand this further. Remember though that I can only do what is allowed within the exported data so things like tracking skill/popularity changes and such for a worker is a no-go as it doesn't exist in the exported .mdb files. I have spoken to Adam directly about this and unfortunately it just isn't feasible to include currently.

TEW Profiler 1.01:

Powerful Fox made it, have look a page back mate. Is a brilliant little "extension" for TEW16.

They are radar charts mate.

I will have a look at the data over the next week and see if there is anything else that I can do to enhance the file. Tag Teams mentioned previously was a good idea but I don't know what to pop in for it. I saw there was a match history table in the .mdb so I might be able to pull in a workers average rating and a line chart to see rating progression over time or something, it depends what the table holds though.

I encourage suggestions also, I think this sort of thing can only grow with people bouncing ideas etc. :).

Maybe instead of the font color used for stats in the comparison one, you can use red and green. So if I were to compare two wrestlers, for every stat, the wrestlers with the higher stat gets green and the one with lower stat gets red.

Something like this: http://i.imgur.com/1hm4k4d.png

100% agree mate. I thought the two colours sets made them look far too similar. I will be honest, I had a very similar thought but at the same time I wanted another gradient style that showed a different colour depending on the difference between two peoples stats.

I think you maybe right however that just showing the difference with a red/green font colour may well be enough to show the differentiation.

Is it possible on the comparison of overness bar to have two colours? So the bar is filled more by the colour of who has the most popularity?

<p>I always write down what happens in all segments of my shows to be able to read up on it after longer breaks from the game. And I keep track of my roster with a spread sheet, that's developed over time (see image).</p><p>

You probably don't understand a whole lot at first glance, but it lists the wrestlers with their strengths, a note if they have a manager, are part of a tag team, if they are set for a push or strictly jobbers/developmental projects. It also keeps track of who is involved in storylines, is a member of a stable or is currently unavailable. I originally also listed the gimmicks of each character, but the longer a game goes the better I know everyone. So I can savely remove the gimmicks to save lots of space.</p><p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2017_02/ewrspread.jpg.3b2541775a4b38e77f7510f3fd333512.jpg" data-fileid="3276" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3276" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="ewrspread.jpg.3b2541775a4b38e77f7510f3fd333512.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2017_02/ewrspread.jpg.3b2541775a4b38e77f7510f3fd333512.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p>

I tried to use Access databases or Excel Files and spreadsheets, but I always got lost in the process and ultimately ended up losing interest in the actual game, so now I only use the in-game notepad and the pre-booking feature. I rarely use Xmind to make Mindmaps if I have a lot of ideas for a game, though.

Sometimes the note taking can become too much time consuming, almost overriding the original purpose. The main idea behind this whole topic was the fact that I either didn't take notes or if I did, I took more time taking notes than the gameplay itself.

I took a look at XMind, looks very good, but it is too expensive to just use for note-taking and experience enhancing, don't you think? I use Draw.io for that purpose, it's not exactly the same, but does a great job.

Here's one I made for my main event scene. The left side is the heels, right is the babyfaces, the top one is the current champion. The red lines suggest feuds within the storyline. However, it was again too time taking, and I couldn't make it look visually appealing, so I never went back to that.

Although, I guess it will do a great job for tournaments.

<p>Not sure if I'm answering this 100% correctly, but whenever I start a new game I create an Excel spreadsheet.</p><p> </p><p>

Left side = faces, right side = heels</p><p>

The sheet is broken down by push (Main event, upper card, etc)</p><p>

For each wrestler, I list their strongest skills and their pay </p><p> </p><p>

At the bottom I list the "positions" like announcers, refs, etc.</p><p>

Again with skills and pay.</p><p> </p><p>

Yes, it could take 20-30 minutes to set it up, but this gives me an 'at a glance' of who I have...so when I book a card I can make sure I'm using my top guys, and I'm not booking 'pay per show' guys when my budget gets tight.</p>

I made an Excel sheet for tournament brackets, but for small (8-man) tournaments I also use the in-game notepad. I like the draw.io sheet with the worker pictures, but again I never have more than 10 storylines so I think I can keep track of who is involved. I think the biggest problem is to get an overview of your workers when you start a save. When you're several months into the game it's easier since you've built your own stories with them. </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Defmall" data-cite="Defmall" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43205" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Not sure if I'm answering this 100% correctly, but whenever I start a new game I create an Excel spreadsheet.<p> </p><p> Left side = faces, right side = heels</p><p> The sheet is broken down by push (Main event, upper card, etc)</p><p> For each wrestler, I list their strongest skills and their pay </p><p> </p><p> At the bottom I list the "positions" like announcers, refs, etc.</p><p> Again with skills and pay.</p><p> </p><p> Yes, it could take 20-30 minutes to set it up, but this gives me an 'at a glance' of who I have...so when I book a card I can make sure I'm using my top guys, and I'm not booking 'pay per show' guys when my budget gets tight.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's a good idea, especially listing up the top skills of every worker would help me to get into a roster faster, I will give it a try.</p>
