Fire and Ice w/ Teddy Long vs. Badd Company w/ DDP

In a hard-hitting match, powerhouse duo Fire and Ice defeated Badd Company in 5:37 when Fire and Ice defeated Paul Diamond by pinfall with a Flashback followed by a Train Wreck. Scott Norton and Ice Train overpowered their opponents and owned them with big power moves.

Terry Taylor vs. Paul Orndorff

Prior to the bout, Terry Taylor wore a "Paula" t-shirt, resulting in Orndorff receiving several chants of "Paula" from the crow. Orndorff left the ring to join Tony Schiavone & Bobby Heenan on commentary and protest the t-shirt and "Paula" chants mocking him. Commissioner Bockwinkel appeared after Mr. Wonderful threatened not to wrestle and said Orndorff would be fined if he didn't wrestle as he initially agreed to do.

Mr. Wonderful was very heelish in his way, and played-up his superior physique bullying his opponent around. In a good match with red hot heel heat, narcissistic bully "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff defeated reliable veteran "Terrific" Terry Taylor in 6:21 by pinfall with a Spike Piledriver.

Gene Okerlund conducted an interview with "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, who apologized to the fans for losing his cool and getting into it with the fan last week. They also talks about Dustin's upcoming Falls Count Anywhere Match with Meng. His opponent might be an unstoppable monster and "the Scariest Man in the History of Wrestling", while Dustin's just an average working class guy like his father. But whatever it takes Dustin will avenge Dusty by defeating Meng. Tonight his opponent doesn't matter. He takes on all challengers.

Ray Traylor vs. Tombstone

Ray Traylor didn’t have an easy time against Tombstone in his return. The 6 ft 8 Tombstone worked on Traylor with several blows and was able to avoid a Splash in the corner. However, Traylor hit a stiff Spinebuster to pick up the win. Ray Traylor defeated Tombstone in 1:34 by pinfall with a Spinebuster.

Interview w/ Ray Traylor

After the match, Mene Gene conducted an interview with Ray Traylor. Ray Traylor is dressed in black and he wears a long black leather coat. He talks about the past and the present going hand in hand; and complains about Commissioner Bockwinkel taking away his nightstick and cuffs after he did beat down Vader and Harley Race.

He has answered every challenge and question laid before him since then, and next year, it's a new "Take No Prisoners Attitude" for Ray Traylor. He puts over WCW for bringing in the best wrestlers from all over the World, but Ray Traylor is still the toughest man to answer the challenges in WCW.

He calls himself Ray "The Law" Traylor and says that from now on, he will operate his own “Vigilante Justice” in WCW, just like “Only Law West of the Pecos" Roy Bean did. He ends the interview by showing his baseball bat with "Justice" written on it.

Duggan delivers his "Five Moves of Doom", but Meng is an unstoppable monster and is completely no-selling everything. In a superb squash match, "The Face of Terror" Meng defeated fan favorite "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in 6:27 by submission with a Tongan Death Grip.

Gene Okerlund had an interview with WCW United States champion Ricky Steamboat. "The Dragon" is ready to wrestle tonight, but hopes to get his hands on The Great Muta, Steve Austin or Ric Flair.

"Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman interrupts the interview. He has this crazy look and screams and spits about his hatred of Steve Austin. He says that he would happily embarass Austin in the ring tonight. Pillman also mocks Ric Flair and Arn Anderson by calling them relics from the past. He asks Flair for his autograph for his grandmother. The he starts to laugh maniacally and walks away.

Inside sources claim that WCW consider changing Hulk Hogan's look. There are discussions about making Hogan a less garish character as he has been hearing a lot of booing coming from live crowds. The same red and yellow magic of before don't seem to do the trick in the mid-90's, and a change is clearly needed to freshen up Hogan's stale babyface act. It may be surprising for some pro wrestling fans, but both WWF and WCW have distinctly different fan bases. Generally, many WCW enthusiasts much prefer the hard-hitting matches prevalent in Atlanta, more than the Hogan-led variety show Vince McMahon offers. Actual wrestling are important in WCW instead of just cartoony WWF-style entertainment. Therefore, some fans are more than a tad frosty towards Hulk Hogan since he first crash landed in WCW. A pocket of the core fan base who follows the promotion feel that signing Hulk is a step in the wrong direction, and a move away from the more Southern, regional feel the promotion had presented for many years. Of course, a lot of fans are willing to embrace the idea of Hogan helping WCW rival the WWF. That fact don't stop some boos from ringing out whenever Hulk performs. One alternative that WCW considers to make Hogan less cartoony and less stale, is a darker version of his character dressed all in black. These changed could help Hogan to develope a feud with the unstoppable monster heel, Vader.

At the latest WCW tapings, Rick Rude showed up wearing a suit and were introduced to the crowd and signed autographs. It won't make TV, as it was just for the live crowd. Rude has been trying to settle his lawsuit with the promotion and was there negotiating to come in.

Randy Savage don't cost WCW a Penny. In July "Macho Man" Randy Savage was told by Vince McMahon that he has had been phased out and that his days as a full-time in-ring star with the WWF were done and that he isn't welcomed at WWF. Frustrated and feeling insulted, Savage decided to reach out to WCW. Eric Bischoff was very interested, who realised WCW were getting a world-class, motivated piece of talent for free. When his contract with WWF expired, Randy Savage headed to WCW, a company more than prepared to offer him a major role as an in-ring performer. It seems that WCW has managed a tremendous coup by signing him, since his salary is offset by his promotional deal with Slim Jim, who sponsors Savage in return for his help with advertising.

On the WCW hotline, Gene Okerlund has been claiming that WCW is in negotiations with Ultimate Warrior and Bret Hart. But, since Bret Hart has been very critical of both Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. And with Hogan and Flair basically running the company, it probably wouldn't work out well for him even if he was to jump ship.

Brian Pillman is expected to get a renewed push soon as a heel cruiserweight champion.

Brian Pillman recently filmed an episode of Baywatch.

Expect new talent showing up in WWF soon. Among the names are Kensuke Shinzaki, and Louie Spicolli, while Brian Lee is expected to return with a new gimmick soon. Also, there have been rumors of bringing in indy star Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch, trying to recreate a Blond Bombers type tag team with Candido and another wrestler, managed by Sytch.

Roddy Piper has made an tryout as colour commentator for syndicated tv show WCW Worldwide.

Former WCW World champion Ron Simmons ended weeks of speculation when signing a written contract with New Japan. Losing the former football player might be a big blow for indie sensation Extreme Championship Wrestling as Simmons have been of the top draws since leaving WCW for ECW.

Last night's AJPW Showdown Tour saw a new Match of the Year candidate when Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa defeated Akire Taue and Stan Hansen to retain the AJPW Unified World Tag Team Championship. The excellent bout is sure to feature heavily in a lot of end-of-the-year polls.

Oscar ended weeks of speculation last night when he signed a contract extension to keep him with WWF.

Jacques Rougeau and Vince McMahon have reportedly had a major falling out. Jacques and Raymond Rougeau are trying to put together a show in January at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal on behalf of WWF. The stadium wanted $280,000 up front to rent the stadium and for setup fees, but WWF refused. The Rougeaus managed to negotiate the price down to $154,000 and just as he was ready to sign off on the deal, when McMahon changed his mind and said he didn't think the time was right or that the city was hot enough to try to run a show at the 60,000 seat stadium. The media picked up on it and painted The Rougeaus as the good guy because they planned to donate $1 from every ticket sold to a children's charity in the city and they painted Vince McMahon as the evil Christmas grinch who hates kids. So The Rougeaus contacted Jimmy Hart to talk about bringing WCW in to work the stadium instead and Raymond Rougeau even talked about coming out of retirement to team with Hogan for the show. No word on if that will happen yet. All of this has created a lot of bad feelings between The Rougeaus and McMahon.

The ever modest Jerry "The King" Lawler has made the bold declaration that he is carrying the entire WWF by himself, and without him, there would be no promotion. Understandably, his comments have not endeared him to other members of the roster or the The Kliq.

Yokozuna's contract expires soon and WCW is reportedly interested in bringing him in.

The contract status of Dink with WWF was clarified last night, when an announcement on the company website confirmed that he had signed an extension, keeping him with the promotion long-term.

It's an wild, stiff and sloppy, but entertaining brawl! Harlem Heat defeated the Nasty Boys via disqualification at 7:57 when Brian Knobbs threw referee Randy Anderson to the floor and cleared Harlem Heat from the ring after Anderson was twice distracted as Jerry Saggs attempted to tag out to his partner. After the bout, The Nasty Boys once again cleared their opponents from the ring.

The feedback from the show has been awesome and the performance of the night belonged to Keiji Mutoh. During the event the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship changed hands as El Samurai ended the reign of Black Tiger.

WWA in New Jersey held a show last night featuring a new worker named Paul Wight who is billed at 7'2 and 440 pounds.

WWF wins bidding war for Ricky Steamboat! The move represent a pretty serious coup for the promotion. It is expected that their new signing will be making an appearance of some kind at their next show.

UWFI had Dan Severn do a job at a recent show, because he is competing at the upcoming UFC 4 PPV. That way, if Severn loses at UFC, then UWFI can say, "Yeah, he got beat here too. No big deal." But if Severn wins at UFC, then UWFI can say "He won at UFC but lost here, because we're better."

When Road Warrior Animal returns to the ring next year, expect to see a Road Warriors vs. Steiners feud in NJPW. Only problem is that the fans demand clean finishes and neither team is likely to agree to job clean to the other.

The Nature Boy championship win! The USWA Heavyweight Championship changed hands last night, as "The Nature Boy" Buddy Landel became the new champion, ending the reign of Doug Gilbert after six title defences. This is the second time he has won the USWA Heavyweight Championship.

After a successful tryout with WWF, Al Snow has left ECW and signed a written contract. Al Snow is expected to be repacked as Leif Cassidy and be part of The New Rockers tag team with Marty Jannetty.

AJPW saw a title change last night, as Dean Malenko lost the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Championship to Mitsuo Momota at AJPW Showdown Tour.

Pancrase 14 report! Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling held Pancrase 14 last night in Toda Sports Center, and drew 3276 fans. The feedback has been that the show was awesome. The star of the show was UFC superstar Ken Shamrock. In the main event Masakatsu Funaki defeated Bas Rutten, while Ken Shamrock defeated Shoji Nakamaki in the semi main event.

With an MMA fight on the horizon, Pancrase star Minoru Suzuki has officially started his camp for the bout. According to his team, he is likely to be back in 5 months, which includes time to recover from the bout. We wish him the best of luck.

Alex Wright has become an unlikely talking point in wrestling, after some industry veterans singled him out as a future superstar. The comments, made on a radio show yesterday, indicate that they feel that with the right handling "Das Wunderkind" could go far.

The Politics of Marcus Alexander Bagwell! Rumours abound that WCW blue chipper Marcus Alexander Bagwell has once again been up to his tricks with WCW, using his wits to manoeuvre himself into some politically strong positions and connections. Bagwell is a protege of Dusty Rhodes and "The Natural" is lobbying for a strong push including a title run for Bagwell. As usual, this has not gone down well with some of his colleagues.

Bas Rutten begins his camp for his rapidly approaching MMA fight today. To help focus he is being completely isolated from the wrestling business during this time; according to his management team, he is set to return taking bookings in 5 months.

Missy Hyatt was expected to do interviews for the UFC 4 PPV, but the promotion has decided they don't want to use any broadcasters with pro wrestling background because they're trying to distance themselves from wrestling.

Chris Candido is expected to join WWF early next year and Tammy Sytch will be coming in with him, though they will likely use her as an announcer rather than a manager.

SMW honcho Jim Cornette ended weeks of speculation last night when he signed a contract extension to keep him with WWF as a colour commentator. Many insiders say that this is a key piece of business for the company.

Paul Heyman was in Chicago and Los Angeles this weekend, trying to negotiate TV deals for ECW.

Psicosis was injured at a show when brawling in the crowd. A fan hit him with a chair and another hit him with a padlock. That didn't cause the injury, but when Psicosis turned to chase the fans who hit him, his foot got caught in another chair and he twisted his knee and ankle badly. He's now in a cast and expected to be out for a few weeks.

WWF sent WCW legal papers warning them that Randy Savage appearing on WCW Saturday Night would be a breach of contract because of an injunction they had against him. But WCW and Savage's lawyers apparently didn't feel like WWF had a case because they brought him out anyway. WWF hasn't responded to Savage appearing on WCW Saturday Night so it's likely they were simply bluffing and WCW called their bluff. Rumor is that Savage will be pushed to the WCW World Heavyweight title very quickly.

After a recent trip to Japan to observe NJPW, AAA president Antonio Pena has made some changes in how AAA books matches. More of a focus on clean finishes, to make the product more credible and appealing for foreign markets.

WCW has decided not to do the Montreal show that The Rougeaus is trying to promote. The idea is that Jacques Rougeau would come out of retirement to challenge Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight title, but WCW immediately refused that idea since they didn't want to put Hogan in a position where he would be booed.

Is The Gambler still on the WCW roster?

Yes, of course! But both him and The Hustler have been doing pre-show matches, since i don't want to have them lose to often on tv shows. In december and january some workers will be cut which should give The Gambler and The Hustler more time in the spotlight. I'm looking forward to september 1995 and the start of Nitro so that there are more spotlight available on the A shows, which should mean more time on Main Event and Worldwide for the midcarders and lower midcarders.

I really enjoyed Starrcade, my biggest surprise of the show was Tenta losing to Sting. I figured he would have taken that win fairly easily, leading him to be Hogan's next challenger.

That was the original plan, but he is developing into a beast and the next figurehead so i decided to make him a giant killer. But there still is something planned for Tenta. I'm satisfied with Starrcade despite having Flair and Savage on the side instead on the card. But this way there is a money-making feud left for 1995.

WWF In Your House Report! WWF held In Your House in General Motors Place in British Columbia. The event drew 18,473 fans. In the main event Bret Hart defeated Rick Martel to retain the WWF World Heavyweight title. In the semi main event Crush & Adam Bomb defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express. On the card we also had Samu defeating Jacques to retain the WWF Intercontinental title while The Smoking Gunns defeated Owen Hart & British Bulldog to retain the WWF World Tag Team titles. The Performance of the Night belonged to crowd favorite Bret Hart.

WCW has moved January's Clash of the Champions show from Virginia to Las Vegas. The reason is because the NATPE convention will be taking place during that week in Vegas, which is the top convention for TV programmers and is a prime opportunity within the TV industry to make major deals. The show will basically be a freebie, designed to impress TV executives. Because of this, a deal has been made with Hulk Hogan to wrestle on the show, going face to face with John Tenta.

WCW Lower midcarder Jim Steele leaves WCW and moves to AJPW. In a recent radio interview Steele says that he is hoping to teaming with All Japan Triple Crown champion The Warrior on the shows.

Indie star Rob Van Dam signs with ECW. It is understood that the deal is a pay-per-appearance arrangement, so that Rob Van Vam will be able to work for other companies too. After his early career in USWA and WCW, Van Dam has been one of the hottest indy stars during 1994 after successful tours in Japan with both AJPW and FMW.

For years, shoot wrestling promotion UWFi has been throwing out big grandstand challenges to other fighters and wrestlers, usually knowing they would turn it down. This week, it backfired. After making news a year or so ago by challenging all wrestling world champions, they then began throwing out public challenges at the Gracie family, particularly Rickson Gracie, to face one of their wrestlers in a shoot fight. Last week, UWFi wrestler and former King Of Pancrase champion Yoji Anjo took it a step further and actually flew to the United States along with members of the Japanese press and showed up unannounced at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy in Santa Monica and went in and issued the challenge in person, assuming Gracie would back down on challenging an unknown opponent with no prior notice, and then he could go back to Japan and say Gracie was scared of him. Rickson Gracie accepted the challenge on the spot and in front of about 20 students at the academy, Gracie beat the hell out of Anjo. It's a public black eye on the promotion that claims they are the realest and toughest shootfighters in the World, but luckily for UWFi, Anjo is only a midcarder so it won't be that big of a deal. If it had been their top stars, Nobuhiko Takada or Masakatsu Funaki, it would have been devastating to the promotion.

Speaking of shootfighting, UFC 4 takes place this week and will feature UWFi wrestler Dan Severn. With his wrestling credentials, Severn actually is a strong favorite going into the show and has an 85 pound advantage on the overall favorite Royce Gracie. UFC 3 did a stronger buyrate than most of WCW's PPVs for the last 2 years and UFC 4 looks likely to start threatening WWF buyrate territory. Fellow wrestler Al Snow will be working as a corner man for Severn.

Latest rumors were that Antonio Inoki's opponent at the Jan. 4th Tokyo Dome show would be Kimo Leopoldo. At UFC 3, Kimo became an overnight star by giving Royce Gracie all he could handle in defeat, with many feeling he should have won the fight. Kimo has a big pro wrestler look and gimmick and became a huge name in Japan after the fight. So naturally, Inoki wants to beat him. After Kimo won another fight in Japan, Inoki's people negotiated with him but Kimo turned it down, likely because it would be a worked match and Kimo would naturally be expected to lose. Now the plan is for NJPW to hold a tournament with pro wrestlers and other shootfighters and martial arts experts, with the winner facing Inoki. NJPW wants to get Sting for the tournament, but it's unlikely Sting or WCW will agree to allow that to happen.

There has been talk from within USWA that indicates that the current plan is for Jerry Lawler to begin a lengthy feud with Sid Vicious in the near future, with the storyline then due to the focus of the company for at least the following six months.

ECW World Heavyweight champion Sabu rejects WWF's offer and will continue to work with ECW and other indies in America. Sabu had been negotiating with WWF and had gotten so far as to have WWF agree to let him keep his gimmick, but they wanted him to change his name which Sabu refused. Sabu is a huge star in Japan, after having previously made his name there in death matches with FMW and says that he is open for proposals from Japanese promotions for new tours.

AJPW saw a title change last night, as Takao Omori and Richard Slinger lost the AJPW All Asia Tag Team Championship to Mighty Inoue & Tamon Hoda.

Tammy Sytch was injured at the latest SMW show. She was standing on the apron when Tracy Smothers hit the ropes harder than anticipated and she lost her grip on the rope and fell to the ground. She tried to catch herself with her hands and ended up breaking two fingers and dislocating another one and will be in a cast for a few weeks.

Jerry "The King" Lawler may have alienated himself from the WWF locker room, after boldly declaring that he is carrying the company "single handedly", and that there isn't anyone else on his "level" within the promotion. Shawn Michaels and the rest of The Kliq are said to be furious.

Missy Hyatt taped a segment of the Charles Perez show. On th talk show she was grouped in with strippers and porn stars arguing about sexual harassment.

A bitter rivalry between Chris Adams and Dave Finlay has apparently sprung up recently in the indies, with the two no longer even being on speaking terms. Insiders say that money has played some part in the argument between the two.

AAA president Antonio Pena was interviewed and discussed former CMLL star Vampiro. Pena said he was negotiating with Vampiro to come in, but then when word leaked out, Vampiro denied it and claimed he would never work for AAA when in reality, they had almost come to terms on a deal before Vampiro backed out and instead joined Japanese hardcore promotion FMW. Pena called him two-faced.

According to insiders, WCW wants to give Alex Wright a major push and make him the figurehead of the Cruiserweight Division. The young German blue chipper is a protege of Ric Flair and is reported to skyrocketing his performance and entertainment skills.

WCW officials are now openly claiming that they are negotiating with WWF World Heavyweight champion Bret Hart.

Hulk Hogan has reportedly finally agreed to work a program with Vader in an attempt to refreshen Hogan's stale gimmick and make him more over with the WCW fans.

WWF debuted a new TV broadcaster named Stephanie Wiand to co-host shows with Todd Pettengill. Previously, they had been considering Tammy Sytch for the role so no telling what that means for her now.

An WCW Up Close segment in which Tony Schiavone conducted a sit-down interview with Vader regarding his background, arrival to WCW and discussing him targeting WCW World Heavyweight champion Hulk Hogan. They also discussed Vader's suspension from WCW and the ongoing Vader Roadkill Tour that are wreaking havoc and injuring opponents in Japan and in the rest of the World.

Vader also talked about all the World titles he has won and showed off his SuperBowl ring.
