That's awesome about Sting!

I actually think Hennig is a great fit for the Horsemen, I actually think that Flair/Anderson/Pillman/Benoit could have been the greatest lineup of Horsemen since version 3... but it was cut short too soon. Hennig would have fit in there, but by that time the nWo were the hot thing, so it wasn't to be. The sticking point for me is Austin, because I don't feel like he fits in very well. But you already had a huge debut join the group in Curt, so you can't run with that again; and that in mind, Steve is a very likely addition. I just can't really have a mental image of him flashing the Symbol of Excellence.

But what I find funny about it is that a Clash crowd would have seen these four come together and start dismantling Hogan, and they would have cheered.

Austin or Pillman were the top candidates for the fourth position. I got some storyline plans for 1995 and Pillman as a "Loose Cannon" face fits in better in the booking plans of what to come. That way i can use him in some big tag matches in what to come.

Benoit is likely to be back in 1995. He has been touring with New Japan and is one of the top candidates for the new Cruiserweight Division, and then going to the Tag Team or TV title Divisions.

The other option was to let Pillman become the fourth member while Austin joined up with Harley Race or Col. Parker. But it seems like Harley Race is bad physical shape and only wants to extend his contract if he gets an events only deal.

In 1995 Hogan will try to refreshen his stale gimmick and try to become trendier by joining up with some cooler buddies and celebrities. :D

Now that I think about it, Vader makes a bunch of sense here. Guy faced off with Flair at Starrcade 93 and his manager, Harley Race, faced off with Flair at the first Starrcade. Plus, he fits the "giant/big guy" mold that Sid Vicious and Luger filled in the group.

I got something special planned for Vader after the Hogan vs. Hennig / Hogan vs. Tenta feuds. In 1995 it might be Vader time, despite the Harley Race situation!

Usually you want someone who fought against the Horsemen or was part of them previously. I always actually thought for this reason The Stiener Brothers were natural fits. But failing that, Ricky Morton would do well too.

Orndorff makes some sense -- especially if the plan is for the feud to continue with Hogan.

Austin just seems like a no-brainer to push to the moon. I always prefer not to see him pushed, at least in the early going, for that reason. I don't think the data actively reflects his skill level either -- he didn't really develop on the microphone until ECW.

Actually Ricky Morton was one name suggested when i did some research on candidates. Now he is in SMW and WWF.

Orndorff is starting to get hot and over. We'll see how the situation developes, but right now he feels like a contender for the TV title. If he lands on 70-80 overness, he will might be a credible contender to Hogan.

I love the Steiners. If i can sign them in 1995, the WCW tag team division will be smoking hot since Harlem Heat is starting to get really over, while Fire and Ice and Miracle Violence Connection are beginning to get hot. Even Stars and Stripes are beginning to get hot and Duggan seems like a perfect choice to help them get over. That way i can also keep Duggan away from the TV title and leave it to more workrate based workers.

About Barry Windham there is a need to first settle his ongoing lawsuit against WCW. This is what Eric Bischoff said both to him and to Rick Rude "check out the competition and when you're done laughing at the clowns, come back, we'll still be here ready to negotiate." :D

Jerry Sags and Honky Tonk Man vs. Ric Flair and Sting

Of course, arch enemies Ric Flair and Sting can’t get along. Flair and Sting have their problems that are still unsettled ever since Flair returned to WCW, including the Horsemen stomp that Sting and Hulk Hogan received at The Clash Of The Champions. Sting is in big trouble against Jerry Sags that's clubbering away with his sloppy garbage wrestling. Sting wants to tag out, but Flair just "Woooos!" at him and slowly struts down the apron. Flair finally stop being a jerk because if they lose, they will not go to Battlebowl. In a good match, Ric Flair and Sting defeated Jerry Sags and Honky Tonk Man in a Lethal Lottery Tag Team match in 16:14 when Ric Flair defeated Elvis wannabee Honky Tonk Man by submission with a Figure Four Leglock.

Wild, luck-of-the-draw tag team matches...

Set!

Winners advance where it's every man for himself...

Battlebowl!

Only one man can win.

Steve Keirn is the first guy eliminated by Vader. The Patriot goes next after Steven Regal ducked a charge. Then Johnny B. Badd gets thrown over the top rope., while Scott Norton gets rid of Bobby Eaton. Jim Duggan tries to eliminate Vader, but it doesn’t happen. Instead Vader gets rid of Jim Duggan, as One Man Gang eliminates Maxx Payne. Right after that, Scott Norton clotheslines One Man Gang to the floor. Then Vader come right up behind Norton and toss him out. Lots of brawling follows without any eliminations for a while, until Steven Regal sends Brian Pillman over the ropes. Sting backdrops One Man Gang and dumps him out. Ricky Steamboat comes up behind Steven Regal and tosses him out too. Meanwhile on the other side of the ring, Dustin Rhodes backdrops The Great Muta over the top. Next, Vader comes up behind Dustin Rhodes to dump him out.

Final Four

Sting, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat and Vader. While Steamboat and Flair have a technical wrestling match, Sting avoids a corner splash from Vader. Sting tries a Suplex, but of course its reversed. Right after the Suplex, Vader drops an Elbow in between Sting’s legs. Meanwhile, Steamboat and Flair are chopping one another. Sting starts beating the crap out of Vader. Steamboat eats a boot from Flair as he comes off the top and Vader gets Slammed as he comes off the top by the Stinger. The crowd freakin erupts as Sting starts punching the crap out of Vader until he’s cornered and whipped into a Vaderbomb. Sting gets punched around and splashed by Vader, but he sits up on a second attempt. Flair tries to toss out Sting when he turns around to punch at Vader. He can’t get him over, so he sets up Sting for a Pump Splash from Vader instead. Sting avoids an Avalanche and Flair gets nailed instead. Ricky Steamboat tosses Ric Flair out of the ring, but his momentum sends him falling down to the floor so it counts as an elimination. Now it’s just Sting vs. Vader. Sting places Vader up in the corner and tries to kick him out. When that doesn’t work, he charges in with a Stinger Splash. But, Vader moves out of the way and Sting flies out to the floor to give Vader the win.

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Vader won a Battlebowl in 59:32. The other members of the 'final four' were Sting, Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat, with Sting being the final elimination. Vader got the most eliminations over the course of the match. Vader wins the WCW Battlebowl title.

Nick Bockwinkel, Eric Bischoff, Gene Okerlund and Diamond Girl are presenting Vader with a ring to commemorate his victory at Battlebowl. Having picked up the victory, Vader celebrates in the ring, and goes crazy, walking around the ring like a madman battering away at the ring posts.

Vader says that his sights is set on WCW World Heavyweight Champion; Hulk Hogan. At Superbrawl Vader will destroy Hulkamania and Hulk Hogan.

Harley says that Vader is unstoppable. Vader fears no man and he feels no pain! Vader is one of the toughest and most hard hitting wrestlers in the history of the industry.

“The only man to hold versions of the World Title on four Continents, making him the closest thing professional wrestling has ever had to a true world champion.”

Vader asks Diamond Girl who the man is, with a clearly nervous Diamond Girl saying that it is Vader...

Vader threw around the barriers in anger...

“Who’s the man?”

“Who’s the man?”

“Who’s the man?”

“It’s Vader!”

“Vader is the man!”

“I rule the WCW and no one can stop me!”

Vader continues to throw around the steel barriers as the show came to a close...

<p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Undertaker and IRS will apparently be having a feud</strong> that is based on the idea that even after you die, you can't escape paying taxes. After settling the feud the duo are rumoured to be teaming up, as "Death and Taxes".</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Damian 666 claimed the vacant FMW Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Championship</strong>, last night, after defeating Terry Boy at FMW If We Fight, We Can Win. The title was previously vacated when The Great Sasuke was injured. Other notable matches was Atsushi Onita defeating Rhino to retain the FMW Brass Knuckles Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>New Japan, the No 1 promotion in Japan and arguably the World</strong> is rumoured to branch out and start running Pay Per Views in North America. Possibly starting with the Jan. 4th show which is expected to be headlined by legends Hulk Hogan vs. Antonio Inoki.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AJPW saw a title change last night</strong>, as Mitsuo Momota lost the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Championship to Dean Malenko. This victory marks his first reign with the title. Mitsuo Momota managed ten successful title defences prior to this defeat.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The upcoming UFC 4 PPV</strong> has enough hype around it that it might even surpass WWF buyrates, despite not having multiple weekly TV show exposure that WWF has.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The stormy marriage between The Sandman and Lori Fullington</strong> was officially brought to a close last night, as their divorce became official. This brings an end several months of legal proceedings, which friends say has taken its toll on both parties.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>ECW is on the verge of becoming a major cult force</strong> in the business. The promotion just keeps on producing the most innovative TV show every week, gaining news fans and momentum.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Steiner Brothers began their third reign as IWGP World Tag Team champions last night</strong>, when they took the titles away from Naoki Sano & The Great Kabuki. Naoki Sano & The Great Kabuki managed seven successful title defences prior to this defeat.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Sid Vicious</strong> pulled out of an indie show booking next week because he told the promoter he wanted to go deer hunting instead.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rumours says that Brian Knobbs was brought before the WCW Wrestler's Court</strong>, accused of being an jerk and making a mess backstage. Knobbs was refusing to clean it up, which annoyed a lot of wrestlers. The judge, Vader, found him guilty and sentenced him to clean it up, and then buy drinks for everyone after the show. The menacing presence of Vader, seems to have improved Brian Knobbs behaviour.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Injury sidelines "Leaping" Lanny Poffo</strong>, as he picked up a Broken Neck during a indie tag team match with Ed Leslie versus Brian Blair and Hercules. Early reports are that it will sideline him from active competition for at least 1 year.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AAA's WCW-produced When Worlds Collide PPV drew a crowd of 5,599</strong>. Announcers Chris Cruise and Mike Tenay got rave reviews for their commentary and helping to get the show over to American audiences who weren't familiar with the product. Especially Tenay, who had never announced a wrestling event before. The production quality from the WCW crew was great. One AAA wrestler in particular has the potential to be America's next huge star, in the same way Tiger Mask in Japan become a cultural phenomenon. He's only 19 years old, he steals the show every night, he does amazing moves that the American audience hasn't ever seen before, and because of his ethnicity, he can cross over to Mexican audiences. He has the look and style to be an underdog kid's hero and can sell tons of merchandise due to his masked gimmick. If marketed correctly, Rey Mysterio Jr. could end up being the biggest star in America.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Diesel and Shawn Michaels have been shaking hands and high-fiving fans</strong> at house shows, acting like babyfaces.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>More When Worlds Collide news!</strong> Eddie Guerrero got into a fight with a fan at ringside and completely forgot about what he was supposed to be doing outside of the ring. Konnan then went into the crowd afterward and there was legit fear that a riot could happen.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW is reportedly interested in stealing Yokozuna away from WWF</strong>. Rumours says that it's because Hogan wants to get his win back after jobbing to Yoko in his last WWF PPV match.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The young, new hotshot WCW executive Eric Bischoff</strong>, enjoyed the When World Collide show and said in an recent radio interview that he has learned a lot about where the business will be heading in the future. Bischoff seems to be thrilled by the idea of the planned WCW Cruiserweight Division and will also be attending the big upcoming All Japan and New Japan shows scouting for new wrestlers and storyline ideas.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Randy Savage is on the cover of this month's WWF magazine</strong>. There's a story in the magazine that talks about wrestlers jumping ship from WWF to other, unnamed promotions and Savage is quoted in the article calling the other groups minor league promotions and saying that even if another group offered him $40 million, he would never leave WWF.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Experts are declaring that the current era of professional wrestling is dying</strong>. Ratings are stagnating everywhere. WWF survives basically on name value alone at this point. WCW survives because Ted Turner allowed it. Both companies are losing their core audiences and PPV buyrates are down. The new era is just beginning, with young athletic stars (like 2 Cold Scorpio, Sabu, Rey Misterio Jr. and Shawn Michaels) and realistic characters and storylines like ECW is doing as opposed to the cartoonish gimmicks that WWF and WCW are currently failing with. The business in America is run by people who are experts on knowing what worked in the past and are seemingly clueless about what works now and have no interest in learning. WWF found success in the 80s because they were ahead of the pack but now they've been surpassed by Japanese and Mexican wrestling and indy promotions like ECW are learning from those promotions and growing, while Vince McMahon doesn't and is falling. The traditional babyface/heel era is on it's way out. Fans don't go for the "Clean Cut" faces. They want cool wrestler and gimmicks. like ECW is offering. Hulk Hogan gets booed by half the arena in every city he goes. WWF fans love "Cool" heels like Shawn Michaels and Diesel, while they completely rejects "All-American" Lex Luger.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AAA's Antonio Pena is the new innovator in the business</strong>. In the last year alone, he's been to NJPW's Tokyo Dome show, WWF's Wrestlemania, WCW's Bash at the Beach and AJPW's big shows. He's watched carefully and brought back things that he's learned and applied them to AAA and it shows in the product. If they continue to do English PPVs in America, the company will likely surpass WCW in buyrates as they're already doing better than WCW in American house show business.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The planned Antonio Inoki vs. Hulk Hogan match</strong> at the January, 1995 Tokyo Dome show is apparently out the window. Apparently one of Hogan's terms is that Brutus Beefcake have a match on the card as well (and for him to win), and NJPW has zero interest in doing that.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Gong Magazine published more nude photos of AJW wrestler Takako Inoue</strong> and are reportedly publishing a book full of modeling and nude photos of her later this month.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>A TV show called Secrets Revealed II</strong> filmed a segment at Killer Kowalski's wrestling school that will air in February.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AAA is reportedly planning to run another PPV</strong>, produced by WCW, in April.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>There's been talk of Hercules coming back to WWF</strong> as a Cuban gang member from Razor Ramon's past.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bret Hart filmed an appearance on an episode of the TV series Lonesome Dove</strong> that will air in March. Bret Hart will play the character Luther Root.</p>

Publications are always a few months behind the times... I blame that no good WWF magazine editor, Vic Venom. He definitely has no place in wrestling. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Comments: The original booking plans were for the Miracle Violence Connection to join a stable called; Harley Race International (HRI is a loose-knit stable of badass wrestlers managed by Harley Race.

They rule the World by kicking the asses of anyone who gets in their way. Their reputation as a badass is considered "Off The Scale".)

But because of the Harley Race situation were he only wants a events only contract, the WCW booking team decided to go with Option B that is The Stud Stable.

Sometimes these things happen like the Cactus Jack long-term injury. I really wanted a long feud with him and Kevin Sullivan, but now i got to look for alternative options. I also had some plans for the WCW United States title, but because of both injuries and some other stuff i had to change the booking plans.

Clash Of The Champions in January 1995 will be the end of the Hulkamania Runs Wild Era and then we will have new influences with the Cruiserweight Division and hopefully a more work rate-based product than the cartoony WWF rip off.

1995 will be The Alliance to end Hulkamania Era (but without the cheesy Dungeon of Doom)...

If my understanding of the game is correct, an events only contract only refers to wrestling on any other shows; I think he could still be used in angles. Unless you were trying to give him an active wrestling contract so you could use him in the odd match?

Either way, I both like the idea of HRI but also don't mind it just being the Stud Stable. "The Colonel" was still a fairly serious character despite his comedic moments and timing at this point in real life (his character didn't really downgrade to full comedy until the stuff with Sherri) so him leading a group of bad asses like the MVC still fits as he would have paid good money to bring in such hosses. I always felt that he was WCW's version of the Million Dollar Man in his own southern fried way, so he is completely able to do almost anything.

<p>:-D So much Christmas cheer on this board. Has there been a three-way dance/triple threat at this point? It feels weird to see it happen in TEW before it occurred in ECW. </p><p> </p><p>

Looking forward to Starrcade. How long will Vince be able to hang with the big boys? At this point, Bischoff seems to be running up the score!</p>

In WCW it started in September with the match between Sting vs. The Guardian Angel vs. Vader for No 1 Contendership. But in this save ECW must be considered the promotion that has made the matches trendy as they have booked several Triple Threat and Fatal Four-Way matches including a legendary 90 rated match involving Sabu, Rocco Rock and Taz.</p><p> </p><p> I hope that Vince step up his game now when he has Jake Roberts signed and are negotiating with some other talented workers. He has got some good talents, but use most of them poorly. Vince also got some talents being groomed down in HWA. I want the Monday Night Wars so that Eric Bischoff can mock and taunt him. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>ECW had at the least definitely done the big Sabu vs Funk vs Douglas three way dance before now, it was in the first part of 1994. The one WCW did between Sting, Vader, and Angel was weird, a coin flip determined who sat out and then immediately took on the winner between the first two. But that was listed as a triangle match. While it shows Bischoff and co. we're paying attention to the other companies like ECW, they were also trying out their own things.</p><p> </p><p>

I find it a little odd that Flair isn't booked for Starrcade yet. With most of the big dance partners already taken, I can't think of too many we have left to take him on.</p>

Wanted to make something better than the weird Triangle Match, hence the Triple Threat Match in September. The same thing with Starrcade, since it's promoted as "It's a Triple Threat" why not use the hype to include a Triple Threat Match. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<strong>WWF Survivor Series Report!</strong> World Wrestling Federation held Survivor Series last night at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and drew 19,028 fans. The feedback has been awesome, the show is getting fantastic reviews. Bret Hart put in the star performance of the show retaining his WWF World Heavyweight title against Jerry Lawler. WWF saw a title change, as the previously vacant WWF Intercontinental title was won by Samu defeating Abe Schwartz. The Smoking Gunns defeated Well Dunn to retain the WWF World Tag Team titles.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Several wrestling experts think that WCW blue chipper "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright</strong> definitely has the feel of a future star, and is somebody who could potentially carry the whole company on his back. Wright is a German grappler signed by WCW in 1994. Straight away, there were high hopes that he'd be a major star of the future, the WCW management started to push him relentlessly. Everyone from Ted Turner, Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair, to many others at WCW and Turner Broadcasting are interested in making Wright a main event player.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Negotiations are under way for a potential George Foreman vs. Mike Tyson boxing match</strong> to take place next year. It affects wrestling because the promoters aren't going to offer the match on PPV, but instead are going back to the old closed-circuit TV way. The boxing promoters are trying to leverage the PPV companies into changing the split to a 70/30 deal by withholding the Foreman vs. Tyson fight from them. If it works, then this would likely lead to a change for wrestling promoters also and would result in enormous financial gains for companies like WWF and WCW.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon leads the entire WWF roster on a guided tour of Titan Towers</strong>, the WWF’s headquarters in Stamford, CT, before sitting them down for a five-hour meeting. The highlight of the conference is an hour-long speech from Vince, who makes the then-shocking disclosure that the company is currently running a money-losing operation. Federation Head of Talent Relations J.J. Dillon, Linda McMahon, and Jim Ross also make extended speeches, discussing booking, hiring policies, and other administrative matters. In an effort to facilitate harmony between the office and the wrestlers, Linda airs a lengthy video detailing the day-to-day operations of all the separate departments at Titan Towers. WWF management also introduces a new, more stringent drug testing policy.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Takao Omori and Richard Slinger began their first reign</strong> as AJPW All Asia Tag Team champions, when they took the titles away from Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat at AJPW Showdown Tour. Furnas and Kroffat managed seventeen successful title defences prior to this defeat.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>As part of the out-of-court settlement over the When Worlds Collide name</strong>. ECW ended up getting Brian Pillman, Kevin Sullivan, Steve Austin and Jeannie to work one show. The show ended with Jeannie revealed to be working for Ric Flair, which led to Shane Douglas giving her a Piledriver and calling her a slut and cutting another anti-Flair promo.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW cancelled their traditional yearly Thanksgiving show</strong> at the Omni in Atlanta due to low advance ticket sales.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>New champion in New Japan!</strong> NJPW saw a title change last night, as Akira Nogami lost the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship to Black Tiger at NJPW Counterpunch Tour. This victory marks his first reign with the title. Akira Nogami managed seven successful title defences prior to this defeat.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Michinoku Pro wrestler Kensuke Shinzaki is expected to debut for WWF soon</strong> as a Buddhist pilgrim, possibly at Survivor Series.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Tazmaniac began his second reign</strong> as ECW World Television champion last night, when he took the title away from Pitbull #1 at the ECW Hardcore TV tapings.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ricky Steamboat's WCW contract is expiring</strong> at the end of the year and a bidding war between WCW and WWF are expected.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rumors are running wild that Ultimate Warrior is returning to WWF</strong> soon. WWF magazine even teased an "Ultimate Surprise."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>"The Nature Boy" tite win</strong>. Buddy Landel began his first reign as SMW Heavyweight champion last night, when he won the match against "Primetime" Brian Lee at SMW Thanksgiving Thunder to decide a worthy champion for the previously vacant title. Smokey Mountain Wrestling held Thanksgiving Thunder last night at Macon Coliseum in Georgia, and drew 5,918 fans. The feedback has been that the show was awesome. Dan "The Beast" Severn was said to be the star of the show.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Manabu Nakanishi known as Kurosawa</strong> in WCW is out of action with a Ruptured Spleen and is expected to be back in 37 days. Nakanishi picked up the injury during the New Japan Counterpunch Tour.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW and WWF in bidding war for Konnan</strong>. Konnan has in the past been described as "the Mexican Hulk Hogan", reflecting his mainstream popularity, his charisma and mic skills and is rumoured to move to WCW or WWF in 1995.</p>
