Wade Bennett had a lot more of the hype heading in, and looked to be in fine form out there. Petey Williams, though, is not one to be squashed in his debut. He countered the size and hard-hitting advantages of Bennett by moving quickly, picking his spots. He looked for the Canadian Destroyer, but Bennett powered Petey up into an Alabama Slam position. The Bare Knuckle Brawler transitioned Petey into position for the Wasteland, and got 1,2,3.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Wade Bennett defeated Petey Williams in 7:54 by pinfall with The Wasteland.

Wade Bennett’s Underground Fighter gimmick gets Great. With each man needing to fight footing here in ROTO, they had a hard time besting each other. King was extra aggressive, and Trent was pulling off more throws than you would've predicted. It was a Royal Flush from Kenny King that ended this bout. Trent kicked out from it, and as a result, the frustrated King was unable to avoid a Dudebuster DDT. Just after 13 minutes, Trent? is victorious in his Ring of the Olympians debut.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Trent? defeated Kenny King in 13:11 by pinfall with a Dudebuster.

Trent?’s Dude gimmick gets Great. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is exiting his vehicle, and talking on the cell phone as he walks through the parking ramp. After the crowd hushes, Cody explains, via telephone, to Kenny Omega that he is nearly to the locker room. He is really playing up Bullet Club's "hold" over ROTO during this debut show. He is suddenly hit the in face with a superkick, knocking the phone out of his hand, and dropping him instantly. A hooded figure, clearly wearing a ski-mask stomps away at Cody, near his chest and throat. He is relentless in the assault, but scurries away rather quickly. Josh Barnett, at the booth, is outraged, while Matt Striker is in total panic. It is Lenny Leonard with the burning questions: who just attacked Cody!? And does this ruin Cody's chances of qualifying for Friday Nightmare on 13th Street?

Cody Rhodes’ Old School Heel gimmick gets Legendary.

Rating: 69

http://tew2016.com/images/images/SamiCallihan_alt6.jpghttp://tew2016.com/images/images/KUSHIDA.jpghttp://tew2016.com/images/images/vs.pnghttp://tew2016.com/images/images/HarrySmith2.jpghttp://tew2016.com/images/images/LanceArcher2.jpg

The oddball pairing of Sami Callihan and KUSHIDA was fun to see. KUSHIDA was stoic from the get-go, seeming to want nothing short of victory. Callihan is a madman, and the crowd loves it. Killer Elite Squad, though, came to make an impact in Ring of the Olympians. They brought the pain early on, causing the tension to rise between our resident Death Machine and the Time Splitter. Could you blame them, though? Tomorrow night, they stand in the way of one another en route to the 13th Street 6-Man Match. With that seemingly in the front of their minds by the end of a battle against a well-seasoned team, the Killer Bomb put Sami to the mat. KUSHIDA may have hesitated in breaking up the pin. Seems he is not so concerned with getting the victory now. Sami Callihan, whilst recovering in the center of the ring, looked beyond pissed as KUSHIDA made way to the back.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Killer Elite Squad defeated Sami Callihan and KUSHIDA in 9:39 when Lance Archer defeated Sami Callihan by pinfall with a Killer Bomb.

Sami Callihan’s Lunatic gimmick gets Very Good. A big technical effort from two world-renowned competitors. Beyond what one would call a breakout star from the past couple years, Zack Sabre Jr. looked to topple one of the most influential Junior Heavyweights of all time. Jushin Thunder Liger found himself on the wrong end of hold after hold from ZSJ, but the resilient veteran hung in long enough to get the victory from a Liger Bomb. Hopefully the wrestling legend can ride that victory into tomorrow's main event against The Big Guy. ZSJ's shot at the 13th Street main event will come next week, where he takes on another legendary lightweight, Rey Mysterio.

In a decent match, Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Zack Sabre Jr. in 13:36 by pinfall with a Liger Bomb.

Zack Sabre Jr’s Machine gimmick gets Average. They find microphones and explain that Cody Rhodes is in no shape to compete tonight, thanks to a mystery attacker. They go up a notch by insisting Cody would not be able to tolerate the ugly mugs they see in the crowd anyway. It doesn't matter, they say, as it's bull**** the three of them were only given a chance to have one spot in the 13th Street main event as it is. Scott Lost hadn't even had ran one show and he was already fearing the Bullet Club consuming his first Pay-Per-View. "Don't worry, Scotty, looks like we'll have to take up more room on that card now..." Kenny Omega churns out. Marty starts to explain its fishy that Cody would be taken out before they've made enemies here in ROTO. He assumes the one man who need them to be down in numbers is---the man whose theme music interrupts their rambling. Ricochet sprints down to the ring and jumps over the top rope, springing in with a dropkick that finds a Bullet Club member with each foot. At long last the crowd can watch more non-stop wrestling, the bell rings!

When comparing in-ring skills, Marty might've been a step behind the other two, but all three made the crowd forget Cody Rhodes was booked for this main event. A proper first main event for Ring of the Olympians, with a fantastic clash of styles between our three competitors. Whether Ricochet was the one to take out Cody or not, it definitely worked to his advantage, as two members of Bullet Club was quite a bit for him to handle here. With Cody in the mix as well, that would be a true american nightmare. Luckily Ricochet's speed could momentarily off-set the numbers advantage, but the real help came when Kenny and Marty couldn't agree on who would pin Ricochet! The tension between the Cleaner and the Villain reached a boiling point, but they seemed to reach a compromise, where Marty landed a big Tiger Suplex, and watched Kenny land the One-Winged Angel before going into the pin.

ONE!

TWOOOO!

JUST KIDDING!

A superkick to the face of an oblivious Omega while he covered Ricochet! Marty rolled his stablemate out to the apron and locked in the Crossface Chickenwing on Ricochet. The Future of Flight struggled to hold on, but it was to no avail, he faded fast. The match was saved for him, though, as Kenny Omega sprang into the ring with a sitting dropkick. This knocked Ricochet's head into the Villain, forcing the hold to be broken. Kenny tossed his stablemate all the way to the outside now, and landed a second One-Winged Angel on poor Ricochet.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Kenny punches his ticket to the Friday Nightmare on 13th Street main event!

In a decent match, Kenny Omega defeated Marty Scurll and Ricochet in 18:17 when Kenny Omega defeated Ricochet by pinfall with a Cross–Legged Fisherman's Buster.

Marty Scurll was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. As a result, he cannot make up his qualifying match, and may not wrestle at Friday Nightmare on 13th Street at all. Marty says there is no hard feelings to Kenny after he grabbed the win last night, there could only be one of them in the 6-Way anyways. Kenny Omega declares he will be bringing the ROTO World Heavyweight Championship into the possession of Bullet Club. Cody says when he gets back, he will punish whoever did this to him. The Modern Day Gladiator made his way down to the Ring of the Olympians. Standing across from him is an absolute workhorse in Naomichi Marufuji. The Franchise of NOAH was taken aback by the fighting spirit of Nick Aldis, who won over the crowd for the first time in what seems like an extremely long time. Marufuji wanted to make quick work of Aldis here, that was clear. What quickly became unclear is where Aldis found the ability to kick-out again and again. Marufuji landed a nasty-looking Australian Suplex, but Aldis kicks out. Shiranui Kai, Aldis kicks out. Pole Shift, Aldis kicks out. Finally, Marufuji goes for the Ko-oh, but Aldis ducks out of the way and manages to land the Tormentum! In fact, this was the match of the night. With all six of these men wanting victory here, to gain entry to the Friday Nightmare on 13th Street main event. Sami Callihan and KUSHIDA saw a loss in their debut. The random tag pairing fell victim to the hungry Killer Elite Squad, and a tension has arose that should continue here. Jigsaw debuted last night with a win over The Amazing Red, displaying dastardly tactics on his way to the win. "Your Favorite Wrestler's Favorite Wrestler" David Starr made his way down to the ring arrogantly, rubbing his opponents the wrong way as half had yet to meet the youngster. Jay Lethal took his time making his way down to the ring, playing up his own arrogance, and insisting the fans are here to see him and only him. Colt Cabana was a breath of fresh air in this regard, as he came down to the ring laughing and excited, slapping hands and making small talk with the audience at times.

We finally get underway, and Callihan approaches KUSHIDA for an intense staredown. The tension is broken by a running knife edge chop to KUSHIDA from "The Bernie Sanders of Professional Wrestling" David Starr. The youngster from Philly attempts the same on The Callihan Death Machine, but this seems to only fuel Callihan's fire. Before he can even touch Starr, a surprise hurricanrana from Jigsaw sends Callihan through the ropes and to the floor! Jigsaw and Starr land a chop block and clothesline combo on Colt Cabana, but Starr is soon dropkicked in the back by Jay Lethal and sent to the outside as well.

The action continues this way until the very end, fast and furious. KUSHIDA and Sami Callihan find themselves alone in the ring at one point, and trade blows. Neither manages to gain much of advantage, but they found themselves out of breath and recovering while the crowd applauded their efforts. Jigsaw and David Starr appear out of nowhere, with "The Most Entertaining Man in Pro Wrestling" now landing a running knife edge chop to Sami Callihan. Jigsaw went with a facebuster on KUSHIDA, causing him to roll out to the apron. Colt Cabana runs into the ring now with a clothesline for each of the smaller competitors simultaneously. He tosses Jigsaw to the outside, but Davey Wrestling gets to his feet at this time and has a Roaring Elbow for Cabana once he turns around. Jay Lethal slides into the ring behind "The Main Event" David Starr, and lands the Lethal Combination. Cabana manages to pull himself to his feet, but here's Jay with the Lethal Injection! He gets three! Lethal wins!

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Jay Lethal defeated Sami Callihan, David Starr, Jigsaw, KUSHIDA and Colt Cabana in 13:08 when Jay Lethal defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall with a Lethal Injection.

David Starr’s Arrogant Heel gimmick gets Below Average. For the second straight night, we are treated to the efforts of Jushin Thunder Liger. This one definitely went on too long as both competitors were hard to watch after thirteen or fourteen minutes out there. There is a lot to be said about Ryback's ability to rile up a crowd though, and he played his part as the Bully here expertly. Liger is the man to hang on in a match though, as he showed against ZSJ just last night. Liger narrowly avoids a Meathook Clothesline, landing a superkick to the back of Ryback's head in response. Ryback falls face-first into the bottom ropes, so Liger attempts a 619. The Big Guy grabs him by the legs and pulls him to the center of the ring, before tossing him on his shoulders and landing a Shellshock. A tired and desperate Jushin Thunder Liger is unable to kick-out, so it looks like Ryback is in our 13th Street main event.

In a decent match, Ryback defeated Jushin Thunder Liger in 17:09 by pinfall with a Shellshock.

Ryback’s Bully gimmick gets Great. @Kijar Two really enjoyable first shows! Well, im not at all disappointed! Even if KUSHIDA would loose every match, i would still be happy. Im just enjoying your diary. As the predictions go, i will always go with my favorites :p

BONUS: KUSHIDA

BONUS: Never gonna happen, but my money is on "The Blueprint!"

Thank you sir! :) Good call with the KUSHIDA pick, think you gave it away too soon and everyone jumped aboard, possibly. :p Almost went with Matt Morgan against Lethal there, but decided to go with Elgin to help move toward the Six-Way, right away. If that makes sense.

Kushida is snek  Also Wade took someone's surname lol

Rey Mysterio vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (13th St Qualifier) Did you see his performance rating? He still got it

Kenny King vs. Matt Riddle vs. Michael Elgin vs. Trent? (13th St Qualifier) I guess Riddle will be kept strong

Sami Callihan vs. T-Reks Finally a win for mah boy. Or no?

Jay Lethal vs. The Amazing Red

BONUS: Who is Ricochet's Partner? Amazing Red... what?

Wade Bennett vs. Nick Aldis (13th St Qualifier) Wade Bennett huh?

That is actually Wade's real last name. :) Wade is the fake name, but mich insisted we go with this name rather than 'Stu Bennett.' I like it because if you don't look at it hard, its also Barrett :p

Second, Rey Rey's performance there was a very pleasant surprise, when initially planning the tour, I imagined he would be pretty terribly declined by this point. We shall now take advantage of the opposite being true. Haha

On that Riddle note, you called it. :p

I don't know if T-Reks is worth putting over Sami. Just has a great look for his role. Somebody hard to fight.

Your Amazing Red prediction is god awful :D:D:D He is booked for the opener there already lol

My Phil Collins Tour comment was ignored you meanie :p

Apologies, I thought I wrote something about how Tardelli copied that title from your post to his and I had to laugh out loud. :p

Guess who forgot to predict last week? The first pick. God dammit!

That is my bad, I rolled that show out pretty fast because I haven't written in awhile and really needed it, honestly. Too excited here, and I wanted to show everyone what I'm made of after FATE fizzled out. :p

YEAH! In the lead!

Hmm ;)

David Starr vs. Petey Williams - Jewish Cannon > Canadian Destroyer

I'm really enjoying what you got going on here!

I must say this is very much thanks to you, man. Not sure how you knew. I am a storyteller at heart and these short stories are a great outlet for me, I hope it can help me develop as a writer too. I think it has started to already. Its a wonderful challenge.

Jushin Thunder Liger was in fine form before the show, keeping everyone in a great mood with his hilarious road stories. It created a relaxed and happy atmosphere.

In a pre-show bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Killer Elite Squad defeated Mike Bailey and Will Ferrara in 5:47 when Harry Smith defeated Will Ferrara by submission with a Sharpshooter.

This blast of X-Division past was a great way to start the show. The two former multiple time TNA X-Division champions are able to showcase their abilities inside a fresh wrestling product. It seems Red knows his place, but is still happy to go out and entertain. Amazing Red came off the second rope for the Red Eye, but Lethal caught him with the Lethal Injection on the way down! He heads to the top to show his Amazing opponent he can fly too, and coming down with the Hail to the King (Macho Man Elbow Drop).

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Jay Lethal defeated The Amazing Red in 7:06 by pinfall with a Hail to the King.

The Amazing Red is getting better at his gimmick. This match got the show off to a strong start. This match got the crowd buzzing. Lethal: 72, Red: 35

The Callihan Death Machine against the Dreadlocked Demolition Man. Both men one would consider deranged, leading to a very hard-hitting contest. T-Reks tried for a Burning Hammer around 5 and a half minutes, and finds it. Sami, however, refuses to lose yet again, kicking out! We see the Cradle Killer soon after for Callihan's first win here in ROTO.

In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Sami Callihan defeated T-Reks in 5:54 by pinfall with a Cradle Killer.

Just as Ricochet starts to make his entrance, we hear "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes on the microphone.

http://tew2016.com/images/images/CodyRhodes_alt2977f5.jpg

He says he knows this Larynx would be in fine form if it wasn't for a certain flip monkey. Cody runs Ricochet into the ground verbally, letting him know that he shouldn't have started a war with the Bullet Club. He will always be outnumbered, and now must look over his shoulder at every turn. Ricochet lets his surprise partner's entrance do the talking. He still has yet to confirm or deny himself being Cody's attacker last week.

http://tew2016.com/images/images/KUSHIDA.jpg

It's KUSHIDA! Matt Striker mentions that KUSHIDA is no stranger to the Bullet Club, working in New Japan Pro Wrestling for quite some time. Josh Barnett wonders why in the world KUSHIDA would have Ricochet's back here. Lenny thinks KUSHIDA was frustrated with his partnership to Sami Callihan last week, and may be in the market for a solid partner. Not sure if that is the case, but Ricochet is definitely the Beta in this partnership, that's for sure.

By the this point, Kenny Omega and Marty Scurll had clearly felt out of the spotlight for far too long. Kenny gets a running start on the apron to land a field goal kick to KUSHIDA as he approaches the ring. Marty lands a baseball slide to Ricochet to boot. This gives Bullet Club the advantage in the early goings, which Ricochet may have expected to have instead, considering he brought a surprise guest. The new tandem was far from short on perseverance, however, allowing them to fight back and avoid annoyances from Mr. Rhodes on the outside. As we wind down, The Villain calls for and locks in the Crossface Chickenwing on the Time Splitter! KUSHIDA looks to be fading, but Ricochet comes flying off the ropes, causing Marty to release the hold and attempt to counter. Instead, Ricochet snaps a Springboard Cutter off on him. He attempts to Superkick Omega off the ropes, but Cody pulls him down and out of harm's way. This is no bother for Ricochet, as he hits the ropes and dives to the outside with a Tornillo to take down both BC members. KUSHIDA lands the Back to the Future on Marty (hah) to give his team the win!

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Ricochet & KUSHIDA defeated Kenny Omega & Marty Scurll in 15:11 when KUSHIDA defeated Marty Scurll by pinfall with a Back to the Future.

Kenny Omega carried the match in terms of in-ring performance. Villain: 47, Omega: 63, KUSHIDA: 52, Ricochet: 52

We head into the fourth qualifier for the Friday Nightmare on 13th Street main event. Each man takes his time making it down to the ring, and with good reason. This could be the precursor to the biggest match of any of their careers. Last week Trent? managed to beat Kenny King one-on-one, which meant King was to target Trent first here. Trent takes King over the top with a clothesline, allowing Matthew Riddle and Michael Elgin to trade blows in the center of the ring. Elgin has the power advantage, but Riddle catches him off-guard by shooting in. He worked away at Elgin for a bit, but King re-emerged to catch Riddle when he doesn't expect it. Royal Flush! It is early, but King drops down for the cover!

ONE!

TWO!

Riddle kicks out here, but King gets up quickly. Unfortunately for him, Trent? was lying in wait for a Sexy Chuckie Knee. Riddle breaks up the pin attempt, and proceeds to have an impressive (and also lengthy) sequence of throw attempts and counters with Trent? This finds the crowd applauding when neither man finds an edge. We hear Riddle say "Brooooo" encouragingly, but the far-from-trusting Trent? responds with a Dudebuster DDT!

He goes for the cover here, but Elgin saves the match-up for himself. From here on out, we get a four-way slugfest. The advantage here goes to-you guessed it-"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin. This causes Trent? to rethink his previous dismissal of Riddle. As Elgin looks to put away Kenny King, he is instead treated to a double team from Riddle and Trent? They go for a double suplex, only for Elgin to suplex them both, one with each arm! The crowd goes wild, Elgin kicks both the Dude and the Bro to the outside. But here comes King! He tries for the Coronation, but can't quite get the big man up! The Unbreakable competitor takes advantage in a moment's notice by landing an Elgin Bomb!

ONE!

TWOOOOOO!

THREE! Michael Elgin inserts himself in the six-man main event at 13th St!

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Michael Elgin defeated Kenny King, Matt Riddle and Trent? in 14:45 when Michael Elgin defeated Kenny King by pinfall with an Elgin Bomb.

Matt Riddle was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. Matt Riddle was really off his game. King: 51, Riddle: 40, Elgin: 53, Trent: 50

"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin joins the fray in the fight to crown the inaugural ROTO World Heavyweight Champion!

http://tew2016.com/images/images/ReyMysterio_alt.jpghttp://tew2016.com/images/images/vs.pnghttp://tew2016.com/images/images/ZackSabreJr.jpg

The main event of the evening far surpassed even last week's Monday main event. This was a truly high quality wrestling match, between two very impressive junior heavyweights. The veteran luchador takes the skies while the highly-touted technician does his best to slow him down. ZSJ started things off with a few rest holds, basically showing off his ability to tie opponents into knots. Mysterio cries out in pain, as I'm sure you've heard before, but ultimately is still in fine form as the match rolls on. He gains control after a few minutes by picking up the pace. Mysterio with a hurricanrana before heading to the apron and looking for a Senton to take ZSJ down. Instead, the Technical Wizard catch Rey with an Armbar in mid-air. He uses this opportunity to use wear-down submissions on Rey Rey once more.

After over fifteen minutes it was beyond clear that neither man is ready to give up a shot at the ROTO WHC. The Master of the 619 escapes a Sabre Driver in order to land the move he made famous on his first attempt in the match. He drops the dime, can he get it!?

ONE!

TWOOOOOOOOOOO!

THR-NOOOOO!

ZSJ is not done yet! Rey takes a bit to recuperate at this point, allowing Zack to pull himself to his feet. The unsuspecting luchador remains sitting, allowing Zack to hit the ropes and land a Penalty Kick. He locks in the Young Boy-err, the Old Man Killer in this case (Double Underhook Guillotine).

Rey Mysterio struggles! He is squirming! The longer frame of his opponent works against him as well!

He struggles!

Can he hang on!?

Mysterio manages to, unbelievably, fight out of the hold! ZSJ ducks a kick, knowing he is in danger now, and lands a Roaring Elbow. He looks for the Sabre Driver once more, but Rey flips over his back instead! A reverse hurricanrana wildly sends Sabre Jr. onto the ropes, and a second 619 follows! The frog splash, and he hooks the leg!

ONE!

AND TWOOOOO!

THREEEEE! Rey Mysterio punches his ticket!

In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Rey Mysterio defeated Zack Sabre Jr. in 17:55 by pinfall with a 619 into a Frog Splash.

Steve Lombardi thinks Kenny King doesn’t get ‘it.’

A fast-paced opener here, with Petey Williams hoping to bounce back from a defeat against Wade Bennett, and "The Jewish Cannon" David Starr needing redemption from losing the six-way last week. It was only in the cards for one of them, but you wouldn't think that watching them fight without slowing down for eight minutes straight. Petey ate a slew of rough running knife edge chops from his opponent. David Starr looks to be ready to hit a Roaring Elbow, but the "King of Taunts" seems to get caught up by the jeering crowd. A dazed Petey Williams pulls himself up with the ropes, regains composure, and runs at David Starr for a vicious Canadian Destroyer. Good stuff.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Petey Williams defeated David Starr in 8:02 by pinfall with a Canadian Destroyer.

David Starr and Petey Williams have great chemistry and it showed in their performances. This match got the crowd buzzing. Starr: 36, Petey: 63

Sami Callihan caught a bit of momentum with a win over T-Reks last night, but he faced a much more menacing Big Guy this time around. Ryback is off the heels of a victory over Jushin Thunder Liger to put himself in the ROTO World Heavyweight title match. That momentum difference may have been the difference maker, but Callihan didn't fall victim to the Shellshock until the near-12-minute mark. Enjoyable clash of violence.

In a decent match, Ryback defeated Sami Callihan in 11:53 by pinfall with a Shellshock.

Two of the Japanese stars on the roster, albeit from different companies in Japan primarily. The Ace of NOAH in Naomichi Marufuji took his no-nonsense attitude down to the ring with him in order to work away at Liger almost effortlessly in the early goings. Liger started to fight back into things, showing off why he is such a world renowned performer.

http://tew2016.com/images/images/Jigsaw.jpg

Seemingly out of nowhere, Jigsaw appears. No one in the arena has any idea why, however, except maybe Jigsaw himself. He slowly makes his way down to the ring, and points at Jushin Thunder Liger. He makes a cutthroat motion before climbing onto the apron. Matt Striker points out that Jigsaw must have been frustrated to not have been booked either yesterday or this evening. He is instead picking his spot. Perhaps he should have recalculated, though, as the distraction clearly intended for Liger seems to moreso baffle Naomichi Marufuji. Marufuji points Jigsaw to the back, but turns around to a Liger Bomb! Uh-oh! One, two, three! Jigsaw cost Marufuji a match here! But why was he even out here!?

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Naomichi Marufuji in 7:42 by pinfall with a Liger Bomb following a distraction by Jigsaw.

A pretty good back-and-forth match. Perhaps a quickened pace would have improved it, but both of these guys were looking for unique opportunities to get an advantage. The Villain seems to be the ultimate opportunist these days. With Colt Cabana down, Marty heads to the outside and finds a steel chair. He slides back in, only to argue with referee Justin King, who ends up taking the chair and climbing out to put it back at ringside. Marty takes this momentary opportunity to crack Cabana over the back and head with his umbrella that was just lying in the corner. The referee slides back in as quick as he can, I'm sure, and sees the Villain lock in the Crossface Chickenwing. Colt Cabana fades away rather than tapping out.

Jay Lethal makes his way down to the ring and grabs a microphone to let the crowd know this is an open challenge, but he doesn't expect anyone to step up the plate. After all, who would want to take on the Greatest First Generation Wrestler? He was happy to drain the hope out of five other competitors last week. He'll do the same thing when we get to 13th Street, he says. He is interrupted by...

"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin! Big Mike is one of the men Lethal will have to get through to become ROTO WHC so this is only fitting. It is even more fitting considering they had a good feud over the Ring of Honor World Championship not long ago, and that may have attributed to the great chemistry they showed here. These two are just good foils for one another, though it seems Lethal was the only of the two to be on his a-game in this one. Elgin lands a Buckle Bomb and then goes for the Elgin Bomb, but Lethal barely manages to land a Hurricanrana instead. He hits the Lethal Injection out of nowhere now! Lethal goes for the cover, feet on the ropes, but referee Keith Harris is oblivious, and he steals three!

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Jay Lethal defeated Michael Elgin in 16:02 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage.

In the pre-main event, we saw two opponents with great chemistry. In this one, we unfortunately see the opposite. These two British upstarts didn't click at all, so its just a shame they went on last, I suppose. It was exciting on paper, however, and they still went for for nearly twenty minutes. The result was a strong effort from both men. The Modern Day Gladiator against the Bare Knuckle Brawler. A strike-heavy encounter, that's for sure. Hype heading in was clearly in Bennett's favor, which put a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Aldis, on the other hand, seems to be the most humble anyone has seen him in his career. Perhaps it was this humility that allowed Aldis to kick out after a Bullhammer from Bennett. Bennett didn't stop there, though, as he deadlifts Aldis from the mat up into the Wasteland! But Aldis rolls off his back! An elbow to the back of the head knocks Wade down, and Aldis locks in the King's Lynn Cloverleaf. They are in the center of the ring, and Aldis has waited the entirety of the match for a moment like this one! He doesn't let up, and Bennett has no choice but submit to the pain! Aldis gets the upset victory via submission! He is the last competitor gaining a shot to become our World Champion.

In a decent match, Nick Aldis defeated Wade Bennett in 19:41 by submission with a King's Lynn Cloverleaf.

Nick Aldis and Wade Bennett don’t seem to click and it made for an awkward bout. Aldis: 43, Wade: 61
