Dangerously</strong> kick off the show from the announce booth. They welcome everyone to the show and talk about the main event tonight where Kevin Sullivan takes on Ricky Morton. JR says that this should be a great match between two veteran wrestlers. Dangerously would rather talk about his upcoming arm wrestling contest with Missy Hyatt. He predicts a victory for himself and for men everywhere. Ross says that remains to be seen before he sends us to the ring for our opening bout.<p> </p><p> -In an extremely short match, Junkyard Dog(C-) defeated Scott Armstrong(E) in 3:40 by pinfall with a Powerslam...D+</p><p> </p><p> -We are taken to a video that recaps what happened at the end of WCW Saturday Night where <strong>Michael Hayes</strong> gave the State of the Freebirds Address. He ended the team known as The Freebirds and issued an open challenge for Clash of the Champions. That open challenge was answered by the WCW return of <strong>Ricky Steamboat</strong>! Hayes got an early hit on Steamboat but Steamboat fired back and stood tall to end the show.</p><p> </p><p> -In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Bill Irwin(D) defeated Pez Whatley(E+) in 3:53 by pinfall with a Superplex...D</p><p> </p><p> -Set to a 1980's pop ballad, we are shown <strong>Missy Hyatt</strong> working out as she gets ready for her Battle of the Sexes arm wrestling contest against Paul E. A punching bag is shown with a picture of Dangerously on it and Hyatt is shown punching the bag, saying that she is going to embarass Paul E. Dangerously. Hyatt is shown flexing for the camera and she gives a smile before we go to the ring.</p><p> </p><p> -In an extremely short match, The Steiner Brothers(C+) defeated The State Patrol(Parker-D, Wright-E+) in 4:01 when Scott Steiner defeated Sgt. Solie welcomes everyone and reminds them to tune in to WCW Saturday Night tomorrow night for another live edition of the show. He, also, says that we are only a month away from WrestleWar on pay-per-view. That means the return of War Games. He says that he is able to announce that one side of the War Games event will be none other than the Four Horsemen! He sends us to comments from the Horsemen now. All four of the <strong>Horsemen</strong>, including the injured Ric Flair, talk about the War Games match coming up. They talk about their experiences in the match beyond and that experience will beat whoever their opponents are. Flair adds that he has proven that he is the man because he is the one that holds the gold. He releases a 'Whooo' and says that someone is going to bleed all night long before we go to the ring for our main event.</p><p> </p><p> -In a decent match, Kevin Sullivan© defeated Ricky Morton(C-) in 9:58 by pinfall with a Devil Stomp...C+</p><p> </p><p> -<strong>Kevin Sullivan</strong> has scored the victory over <strong>Ricky Morton</strong> but Slaughterhouse is not done! <strong>Moondog Rex</strong> and <strong>Big Cat</strong> join Sullivan in the ring and they begin putting the boots to Morton. Sullivan pulls Morton from the tree of woe and shoves him toward Big Cat, who drops him with a spinning side slam. Moondog Rex hits Morton with his bone and Slaughterhouse stands tall as the show comes to an end. We have a fantastic main event in store for you as The Living Legend </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Larry Zbyszko</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> steps in the ring with the number one contender Terrific </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Terry Taylor</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. This could be a preview for a future match if Taylor can beat Ric Flair and Zbyszko can beat Sting at the Clash of the Champions. Can Terrific Terry pull another upset against the Living Legend?</span><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -In other action, we will see the WCW debut of Luchador </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Octagon</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. This man has been working hard in Mexico in both singles and tag team action. However, he will be stepping into the ring with the computerized man of the 90's </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Michael Wallstreet</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. We have learned that </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Alexandra York</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> has promised that Wallstreet will win this match in less than five minutes. Can Octagon survive the computer?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -We will be seeing another defense of the NWA Television title as </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Z-Man</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> defends the belt against </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Lethal Larry</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. Larry picked up a win in six man tag team action last week, while Z-Man went to a time limit draw with Bobby Eaton. Larry has the backup and support of </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Teddy Long</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Doom</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. Will this be enough for him to win the Television title? Make sure you tune in to find out!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -Speaking of </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Doom</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">, in our first hour main event we will have a non-title match as Doom faces </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Sting</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and the NWA United States Champion </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Lex Luger</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">! This tag team encounter should definitely be a bang live on WCW Saturday Night. Both teams picked up wins last week on the show. Who will pick up some momentum as we move toward the Clash of the Champions? Who will need more momentum after this match?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -We will also see the WCW debut/return of </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Chuck O'Connor</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">, </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>The Southern Boys</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> in action against </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Bill Irwin</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Black Bart</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">, A Danger Zone segment with </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Bobby Eaton</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and more! Thanks for the predictions and comments. Chuck O'Connor is, indeed, the man formerly known as Big John Studd. I didn't want to just bring him in as Big John Studd. So I looked him up on Wikipedia and found out that he used this name in the NWA prior.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> The Southern Boys are definitely a great middle of the road team. I am a huge fan of them because I can remember seeing them live when I was living in Virginia as a kid. As far as the tag team match between Doom and Sting/Luger goes, without giving away any spoilers, both of these teams are seeking some momentum as we draw closer to the Clash. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> I'm glad you enjoyed the Diamond Studd/Vinnie Vegas vignette. I am definitely trying to mostly stick to the time period. Mostly. With a little bit of Eric Bischoff's forward thinking thrown in there for good measure.</span></p>

He predicts the doom of Sting and Luger worse than when Sting lost the NWA World Heavyweight title to Ric Flair a couple of weeks ago. Take it away, Tony. Schiavone reminds us that we are eight days away from the Clash of the Champions live on the TBS network. That means that, for people who get TBS, you don't have to pay for a wrestling show this month. Schiavone is soon joined by the man who just won his first match back in the NWA and that man is </em><em><strong>Chuck O'Connor</strong></em><em>. O'Connor dwarfs Schiavone with his size and Schiavone definitely looks a little intimidated by this. Schiavone welcomes O'Connor to the NWA and asks him what his plans are here in this company. O'Connor says that he is here to absolutely dominate the competition in this company. He says that there is no one in this company that can match up against him pound for pound. But he says that this is the best wrestling company out there because this company focuses on the wrestling in the ring and not selling tickets. The tickets will come when they see Chuck O'Connor is wrestling. Schiavone looks confused as they are interrupted and joined by another man. That man is </em><em><strong>Harley Race</strong></em><em>! Race walks up to O'Connor and offers his hand. After a moment of hesitation, O'Connor takes that hand and shakes it. Race says that he is here to fill in O'Connor about this company since he hasn't been here in years. He tells O'Connor that, if he wants, he will watch O'Connor's back. But O'Connor must watch his back, as well, including at the Clash of the Champions in Race's match against Lex Luger. O'Connor says that he has never been much of a joiner. Instead, it's the NWA United States Champion Lex Luger that starts with Butch Reed. After a little back and forth wrestling between the two men, they meet in the center of the ring where Reed offers a test of strength. The Total Package obliges him in that and the two men battle to see which one of them is stronger. Luger starts to gain an advantage, pushing Reed downward slightly but Reed breaks the hold with a kick to the gut. Reed grabs Luger by the head and rushes him into Doom's corner where Ron Simmons holds Luger while Reed throws in a few more kicks. Luger manages to break free and clothesline down Reed! Luger tags in Sting and the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion comes in like a house on fire. He elevates Reed with a military press slam and then backs Reed up in a corner. Hayes begins by saying that Ricky Steamboat was not who he thought was going to answer his challenge last week. But the so-called Dragon, the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, thinks that he has what it takes to beat Michael Hayes? Hayes says that Steamboat must have taken too many hits to the head because there's no one in this company that is better than the Lone Freebird. Hayes says that, in eight days, he's going to step in the ring on his own and he's going to prove that he's the best in the ring today. In eight days he says that he's going to feel all better and he's going to step in the ring with Terry Taylor. He says that Taylor may be on a roll right now but the roll is going to stop right here with The Nature Boy. He says that when Taylor walks that aisle, he's going to know that he's stepping in the ring with the man. He says that Taylor is making the biggest mistake of his career when he walks that aisle and steps in the ring with Ric Flair. He says that to be the man, you have to beat the man and the gold around his waist proves that he is the man. He reminds everyone that at the party tonight there's going to be a lot of good looking women who want to ride Space Mountain. There's going to be a long line but that is the way that Ric Flair styles and profiles. He says that he doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk and he's going to prove that at the Clash. He releases a 'Whooo' before the music cues up again. Barry Windham and Sid Vicious looked mostly intimidating in the background during this promo as neither of them got any words in. He says that their team name is prophetic because in eight days it's going to be the Doom of their tag team title run after stepping in the ring with The Southern Boys. He says that the proof is going to be in the pudding at the end of the match. Armstrong adds in that they are going to show Doom how the cow eats the cabbage. In the beginning of the match, a 'Red Rooster' chant can be heard ringing throughout the crowd here. The chant is ignored by the announcers but it is definitely obvious for the fans in attendance and watching on television. That is one of the drawbacks of being live. Taylor, though, takes the early advantage on Zbyszko, bringing Zbyszko to the mat with an arm drag transitioned into an armbar. Taylor has the hold cinched in tight but Zbyszko refuses to submit this early in the contest. Instead, he works his way to a vertical base and grabs Taylor by the hair, dragging him into a corner. The referee asks for a clean break but Zbyszko slaps Taylor in the corner. An angry Taylor steps forward and clotheslines down Zbyszko! Taylor bounces off the ropes and then leaps over the prone Zbyszko. Zbyszko gets to his feet and lowers his head but Taylor leaps over with a sunset flip, scoring a two count. Zbyszko quickly rolls outside the ring to take a breather. But Taylor exits the ring, as well, chasing Zbyszko around the ringside area. Zbyszko rolls back in the ring and Taylor joins him but Zbyszko strikes with a double axehandle to the back right after Taylor rolled in under the bottom rope. The Living Legend takes control, focusing on the arm of Taylor. He lifts Taylor up and drops him with a shoulderbreaker. Zbyszko yells at an audience member in the front row before turning back to Taylor. Zbyszko strikes Taylor with a few knee shots to the ribs and then continues his momentum in this match. He lifts Taylor and then drops him with a body slam before climbing to the second turnbuckle. He leaps and catches a prone Taylor with a diving forearm smash to the head. Zbyszko continues his momentum both inside the ring and outside the ring. Outside the ring, Zbyszko grabs one of the camera cables and begins to choke Taylor with it in a way that keeps the cable hidden from the referee. The crowd boos this move but if the referee doesn't see it then he can't call it, right? Zbyszko releases it and brings the action back inside the ring. The Living Legend catches Taylor with a swinging neckbreaker before making the cover: One, Two, Kickout! Zbyszko challenges the count of the referee but referee Randy Anderson says it was only two. Zbyszko turns back to Taylor and pulls him up, locking in the Larryland Dreamer from behind! The two men are standing with Zbyszko getting that submission hold cinched in tight! Taylor struggles in the hold, going down to his knees as he is starting to turn absolutely blue. Like in Rocky IV, the crowd is slowly starting to come around to Terry Taylor's side. Larry Zbyszko looks absolutely shocked as Taylor begins pulling his way to his feet somehow. Zbyszko tries to cinch the hold in tighter but this momentary lapse gives Taylor an opening and he drops Zbyszko with a jawbreaker. Zbyszko, though, refuses to release the hold until Taylor shifts around and drops Zbyszko with a belly to back suplex. Both men lie on the mat as the referee begins a ten count. Both men use the ropes to slowly make their way up to their feet. They meet in the middle of the ring and begin exchanging punches. The crowd cheers along with Taylor's punches and boo Zbyszko's punches. Taylor blocks a punch and fires off three in a row, knocking Zbyszko back to a corner. Taylor climbs up and rains down ten punches to the Living Legend as the crowd counts along. Taylor drops back down and grabs Zbyszko by the arm. He sends him with an Irish whip to the ropes -- reversed! Taylor leapfrogs over Zbyszko as Zbyszko ducks his head. Taylor comes back off the ropes on the opposite side and catches Zbyszko with a Five Arm! Taylor hits that Five Arm out of nowhere! But the celebration is cut short when </em><em><strong>Larry Zbyszko</strong></em><em> gets to his feet and strikes Taylor from behind with a double axehandle to the back. He hooks Taylor in a hammerlock and then drops him with a hammerlock body slam on the mat. Zbyszko shoves the referee out of the way. That will definitely cost him a fine. Zbyszko puts his boot on the throat of Taylor as Taylor struggles now, fighting just to breathe. Suddenly the crowd cheers as here comes Zbyszko's opponent at the Clash, </em><em><strong>Sting</strong></em><em>! Sting slides in under the bottom rope and grabs Zbyszko from behind, slamming him down to the mat with authority. Zbyszko pops back up and Sting catches him with a clothesline! The man called Sting grabs Zbyszko and raises him up in a military press, slamming him down to the mat. Zbyszko slides out under the bottom rope to avoid more punishment. Sting bends to a knee, checking on Terry Taylor. Zbyszko can be seen mouthing that he'll see Sting at the Clash. Jim Ross and Paul E. News And Notes

-We had a couple of Dark Matches for World Championship Wrestling this week. In our first dark match, the three man unit known as Slaughterhouse defeated Brian Pillman and The Renegade Warriors in 6 man tag team action. The match received a C- grade. In our second Dark Match of the evening, Ricky Steamboat defeated Dutch Mantell in a match that received a B- grade to get the fans involved.

-Watching that dark match, Dutch Mantell really seemed to be slowed down by his own declining physical ability. That is definitely something we need to take into consideration going forward. There are a few others who seem to be headed into that dark decline, including Black Bart, new signing Chuck O'Connor and Junkyard Dog.

-After the show, we also learned that Lethal Larry failed a drug test by WCW. He has been suspended for one month without pay due to the failed drug test. He didn't seem to have any chemistry with Teddy Long as his manager so there may be some changes when he makes his return in a month.

-Chuck O'Connor and Barry Houston seemed to have some great chemistry in the ring. It showed during their match, elevating the opening contest. Though it was, of course, a well-executed squash.

-Missy Hyatt's video was hampered by the fact that she seemed to be on some type of hard drug during the shoot. Whether this will affect her or her arm wrestling match with Paul E. Dangerously at the Clash is yet to be determined.

-So far, we have learned that all four members of The Horsemen will be involved in War Games next month. We do not yet know who their opponents will be. However, we have learned that one of their opponents will be announced on the Power Hour this week.

Comments On The Diary In General:Liking everything so far. Just hope the Desperadoes are not still looking for Stan Hansen:D

Hey horseman4lyfe! Thanks for the predictions and comments. I can definitely say that The Desperados are not looking for Stan Hansen. If they were, they can find him in AJPW. But I'm glad you're enjoying everything so far.

Asian Invasion - Good steal with grabbing Tanaka from the WWF to rebrand the original Orient Express. Is perhaps their new name a slight nod to Tanaka having used Goldberg's classic "Invasion" theme a year before he used it? :p

Bobby Eaton - Always love seeing Cornette alongside Beautiful Bobby.

Terry Taylor - He's definitely the "cock of the walk" right now :p

Hey Beejus! Thanks for the predictions and comments. The Asian tag team name is actually Asian Nightmare, not Asian Invasion. Though, that could make for a good stable name in the future. I definitely couldn't help signing Jim Cornette to team up with Bobby Eaton. I can say that I was originally looking to reunite The Midnight Express. Instead, I thought I'd keep Eaton as a singles wrestler and Lane teaming with Steve Keirn as The Fabulous Ones. Eaton has one of my favorite all-time singles matches at a Clash of the Champions when he faced Ric Flair in a 2 out of 3 falls match.

The two wrestlers meet in the center of the ring where Irwin slaps Sting! For those of you who can read lips, Irwin tells Sting that he's going to slap the facepaint off him. Sting fires back with punches! A standing dropkick has Irwin dropped to the mat and then rolling under the bottom rope to ringside. Irwin paces for a moment and then re-enters the ring. The two men lock up and Irwin backs Sting to a corner. Irwin throws a couple of punches instead of a clean break. Irwin catches Sting with a knee to the ribs and then a forearm shot to the back that brings Sting down to the mat. Wild Bill is in control for the next few minutes, focusing in on the back of Sting. JR notes that he's softening Sting up for that Superplex finisher. The crowd gets behind Sting, trying to will him back into the contest as Irwin catches Sting with a lariat. Irwin makes a cover and Sting kicks out at two. The momentum shifts when Irwin goes for a vertical suplex in the center of the ring but Sting blocks it! Sting blocks it a second time and twists Irwin around, dropping him with a neckbreaker. Both men lie on the mat as the referee begins a count. Sting manages to beat the count and picks up Irwin, throwing several forearm smashes to Wild Bill. Sting catches Irwin with an inverted atomic drop, sending Irwin staggering back into the corner. Sting backs up in the opposite corner and releases a howl before he charges -- Stinger Splash! It connects and Irwin falls to the mat. He releases the choke and then moves Sting to the center of the ring. Sting can't even stand on his own after the match and then this attack. Zbyszko tucks Sting between his legs. The show is sold out with 33,000 fans stacked into the venue in the south east. These fans are looking forward to a main event where the Nature Boy </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Ric Flair</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> will defend the NWA World Heavyweight title against Terrific </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Terry Taylor</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. Taylor has been on a strong winning streak since finding out he is going to face Flair, beating Horseman Barry Windham and winning in a six man tag team match with The Steiner Brothers against The Horsemen. Ric Flair has been recovering from a fractured foot suffered at the beginning of the month when he won the NWA World Heavyweight title. This could very well be the moment that Terry Taylor wins the NWA World Heavyweight title. Make sure you watch!</span><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -In tag team action, we will see the NWA World Tag Team titles defended as </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Doom</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> takes on The Wild Eyed </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Southern Boys</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. The team of Butch Reed and Ron Simmons, along with manager </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Teddy Long</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">, has run roughshod over the tag team division for the past couple of years. They've fought off the challenges of teams like The Horsemen, The Rock 'N' Roll Express, The Steiner Brothers and more. While they definitely have the power advantage in this match, it is to be believed that The Southern Boys will have the quickness advantage. Steve Armstrong comes from a long line of family members in professional wrestling while Tracy Smothers has proven himself to be a solid tag team partner. In the past, The Southern Boys have beaten teams like The Fabulous Freebirds, The Midnight Express and The Master Blasters. Will Doom be able to keep up with The Southern Boys or will the speed be an advantage over the power? Make sure to tune in and find out.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -Speaking of tag team action, we will also see the United States Tag Team titles on the line as </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>The Steiner Brothers</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> step into the ring against two members of The Four Horsemen: </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Arn Anderson</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Barry Windham</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. Last month, Anderson and Windham took Doom to the limit and a double pinfall at Starrcade. The Steiner Brothers are a well-traveled tag team, having competed in Japan as well as the United States. They are former NWA World Tag Team Champions, having lost the belts to Doom at NWA Capital Combat back in May of 1990. But they have beaten the best tag teams that the NWA has to offer. Then comes the Horsemen. The team of Arn Anderson and Barry Windham have definitely fought in various tag team matches in this company as members of The Horsemen. They are two veterans brought together by mutual trust and strength as tag team wrestlers. This is a battle of blood versus friendship. Only one team can survive.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -The NWA United States title will be on the line as the current Champion The Total Package </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Lex Luger</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> confronts perhaps one of his biggest tests as he takes on the first ever United States Champion </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Harley Race</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. The Total Package won the United States title last month at Starrcade 1990 when he defeated legendary wrestler Stan Hansen in a bullrope match. In his career, Luger has defeated some of the best professional wrestlers in the game, including Ric Flair, Mean Mark, Sting, Flyin' Brian and more. Now he faces what might be his biggest challenge in the legendary Harley Race. Harley Race has done just about everything that a wrestler can do in this business. He is a former seven time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, nine time NWA Central States Champion and he was the first ever NWA United States Champion. The question remains can Lex Luger survive this test or will Race's final run continue with the United States Championship?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -We will also see an intergender arm wrestling match between </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Paul E. <p>I'm pretty excited for the Clash! Let's see if I get everyone's names right this time <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Sting - <em>After Larry's attack, he looks to definitely have an advantage. But Sting is the original "Never Back Down" so I think he'll come through.</em></p><p>

Steiner Brothers - <em>Though I doubt either team would be in US Tag contention for much longer, I think the Southern Rockers will dethrone the Bros pretty soon to free them up to go after the World level.</em></p><p>

Ricky Steamboat - <em>Despite this being Hayes's match and I could definitely foresee some possible interference (Gordy?) I think Ricky takes this one as it's his first big match back.</em></p><p>

Lex Luger - <em>Maybe it won't be the York Foundation but instead Harley and Studd who take the Steiners down for the US titles? That would be a hell of a match.</em></p><p>

Vader</p><p>

Doom</p><p>

Ric Flair</p>
