Totally Buffed vs Rey Mysterio and Konnan

Thunder opens with a big match that was made this past Monday on Nitro. Konnan and Mysterio answer the call to arms when Totally Buffed were declaring no team in WCW had what it took to beat them. In a great match between the two teams, the end comes with a tinge of disappointment as Konnan suffers the pinfall when Vampiro rushes the ring, behind the Referee’s back and busts open Konnan with a steel chair, allowing Bagwell to pick up the victory.

Winner: Buff Bagwell

After the match, Mysterio helps a Bloodied Konnan to his feet, as the live audience cheer for them. As Mysterio is about to help Konnan out of the ring, Vampiro appears back on the stage, laughing at both men.

The camera’s are backstage with Lance Storm and Jeff Jarrett, as Storm is verbally assaulting Jarrett, Storm calls for Chyner to have a muzzle and a handler, because she's a bitch out of control. With that Chyner walks in from an adjacent room. Chyner says Storm just isn't a man, that he doesn't know how to face defeat. Storm says he wants Chyner one on one, no DQ, the works, with that Flair enters the room, asking what's going on. Once FLair is caught up on the events unfolding, he makes Jarrett an offer to settle things once and for all. Flair says they should have a match at Halloween Havoc, a tag match with anything goes. Jarrett says he doesn't see the point in getting his hands dirty, but the will at least think about it. Flair calls Jarrett a chicken and says Chyner is more of a man that he will ever be. That riles Jarrett who tells Flair he's’ on, but oh wait, he will only accept if Flair faces a member of the Elite Era tonight and wins. Flair agrees as both Storm and FLair look ecstatic and leave the office, as Chyner consoles Jarrett, saying “Your all man”.

Backstage and Kidman and Helms are talking things out. Kidman says he’s worried for his friend, that he's being led astray by Moore and Karagias who just want to ride his coattails again. Before Helms can respond, Moore and Karagias barge in and question Kidman's motives. Moore says Kidman just wants to keep him sweet until Halloween Havoc so he has 1 less threat to worry about in the match. Kidman disagrees and he along with Moore and Karagias then have a huge slanging match. Unbeknown to them, the camera’s then pan out to find Helms is no longer there as Kidman and 3 Count look around for him.

Bryan Clark vs Norman Smiley

Just last week Norman faced a brutal beat down from Kronik backstage, who returned recently and have been on a warpath ever since. Norman asked for this match to get even and got given Bryan Clark to gain some revenge against. The match doesn't go well for Smiley as he gets almost no offence, with Clark bouncing him round like a pinball. After a brief beat down, Clark pins Smiley, ending the mauling.

We are in Jeff Jarrett's Office again and Kevin Nash barges in. Nash immediately tells Jarrett that he wants a match with Diamond Dallas Page NOW!. Jarrett says there's nothing he can do, Page isn't here tonight. Nash then says he wants him Monday on Nitro in that case. Jarrett then throws a wrench into Nash’s idea as Jarrett says that DDP is far too valuable to WCW, he couldn't allow people just to demand matches with him. Jarrett tells Nash to contact Pages people and see if he can make it possible, but that's just not up to him tonight. Jarrett then says that Page offered a match at Halloween Havoc and advised Nash to take it. Nash says he can't wait that long and vows to track down Page and dish out punishment on his terms

After the match, Ric Flair makes his way up the ramp as the music hits, Goldberg makes his way from behind the curtain and makes his way to the ring, stopping as he and Flair cross paths on the ramp. Both men stop, stare each other down and just nod at each other before Goldberg proceeds to the ring. Kanyon is in the ring, struggling to his feet when Goldberg slides under the ropes, readies himself and hits one big almighty Spear. Thunder then goes off air with Goldberg staring down the camera as the announcers translate what he is saying in the ring from lipreading, saying Goldberg isn't finished yet.

WCW Nitro opens with Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner and Midajah in the ring. Jarrett has the microphone in his hand and immediately addresses the Goldberg situation. Jarrett says he's sick of being terrorised by Goldberg at every turn, that Midajah is still shaken up from last week and that the Elite Era is sick of his unprovoked attacks. Jarrett says he and the fellow Elite Era stand together in solidarity and will not cave in to the demands of a mad man. Jarrett then says that tonight, he has given Steiner a chance to vent his anger tonight, as he will give Steiner a chance to choose his opponent, but that the Arena will be full of Local Law Enforcement, so they shouldn't have to worry about Goldberg. Steiner then takes to the microphone to say a few brief words. He tells Goldberg that the next time he sees him, he's going to hurt him so badly for what he did last week that they won't need a referee, just a coroner.

Rick Steiner vs Mark Jindrak

Match three in the best of what is now the best of 5 series. Following on from two straight losses, Steiner has been furious and wants revenge and his pride back. Both men put on another decent match, however it's a lot shorter this time. Steiner is so frustrated and raged, that he doesn't see Jindrak coming until it's too late, leaving him flat on the mat for the 3. The third straight win and a whitewash in the best of 5 Series.

After the match, a Furious Steiner gets back to his feet, snatches the microphone from the ring announcers hands and launches a tantrum promo against Jindrak. Jindrak, who is now standing on the ramp, laughs throughout. In the end Steiner says he wants a rematch, Jindrak laughs, which angers Steiner more. Steiner then says he wants to make it a best of 7 series, which Jindrak again laughs. Judging that Jindrak just isn't taking him seriously, Steiner offers to make it a Best of 7 Series for the WCW Television Championship. With that, the laughter of expression leaves the face of Jindrak as he just Gestures to Steiner that he’s on!.

The cameras are once again in Hollywood, CA where Kevin Nash is once again searching film sets for Diamond Dallas Page. The search continues for some time until Nash bumps into a member of the production crew. Nash asks if they have seen DDP, to which they said they saw him 30 mins ago walking around the lot. Nash then grabs the crew member's clothes and demands to know where Page is working. The shaken member of the Crew says they don't know, but that he often sees him in a nearby outdoor seating area. Nash then lets the Crew member go, thanks him, while brushing the creases out of his clothes and heads off to the area he was informed about.

Totally Buffed vs The Rock-N-Roll Express

Totally Buffed comes to the ring as normal and waits for their opponents, who this time are none other than legendary tag team, The Rock-N-Roll Express. Morton and Gibson get into the ring and stand nose to nose with Luger and Bagwell. A brawl then ensues as the live audience begin to cheer heavily for the Super Babyface, multiple time World Tag Teams Champions of the Rock-N-Roll Express. The match doesn't last too long as Luger and Bagwell make quick work of the legendary team. Luger pins Morton to pick up the win.

Backstage and Flair is with Jarrett in the corridor. Flair vents his frustration at Jarrett and Chyner as of late, calling his decision to hire her a selfish act. Jarrett points out his need for backup, especially in the current climate, to which Flair points out it's all of his own doing. Flair then tells Jarrett that he's making Storm vs Chyner for next week on Nitro. Jarrett objects and says he will overrule him. Flair points out that he can't over rule, that they are both President of WCW. Jarrett then says he will object, but that he has a better idea, if Flair can beat Scott Steiner in tonight's main event, he will let Lance Storm face Chyner next week. Flair says it would be his pleasure, before both men grimace and smile at each other and walk off.

Kronik is now seen standing outside the office of Jeff Jarrett. Out of nowhere Goldberg is seen rushing into the camera shot. A brawl then ensues with Kronik looking like they almost have the upperhand, but a misstimes double team leaves them on the backfoot, allowing Goldberg a chance to spear them both. Goldberg then storms the office, shouting for Jarrett to give him what he wants or he's going to make him regret it. Goldberg is shocked to find Jarrett not in his office and is left to walk back out, stepping over Adams and Clark who are still rolling on the ground.

Vampiro says he is sorry he cost Mysterio and Konnan the victory this past Thursday on Thunder, but he was left out and jealousy overtook him. Vampiro says that as an apology, he welcomes them to face him in a handicap match at Halloween Havoc.

Billy Kidman and Shane Helms vs 3 Count

After the recent tensions with Helms over the past few weeks, as a bid to get things back to normal, Flair made the match allowing Kidman and Helms to work together against his former teammates, Moore and Karagias. Although all 4 men put on a good match, Moore and Karagias continuously try to tempt Helms to rejoin them, as Kidman tries to silence them and get him to see things his way. In the end, Helms walks out after being frustrated and being pulled in both directions by 3 count and Kidman. This leaves Kidman to eat defeat in a Handicap match as Moore hits Kidman with the finnish for the 3.

Winner: Shannon Moore

Back to the Film Studios in Hollywood, CA and Nash is sat on a bench, keeping an eye out for Diamond Dallas Page. All of a sudden a car drives past and slams on its breaks. Inside is Page who shouts to Nash that he doesn't have the credentials to be here and for him to leave. As Nash stands to make a beeline for Page's car, Page throws a drink at Nash and catches him in the face with it, stopping him in his tracks. Page then shouts at Nash to do what he was good for and “Clean that Up”, as Page floors it and drives off, leaving Nash drenched and lacking revenge again.

Ric Flair vs Scott Steiner

The crowd is extremely hot for this match as Both Flair and Steiner get huge reactions from opposite ends of the spectrum when they walk out. The match proves to be a hard hitter with Slow and calculated attacks from the both men involved. Flair puts up a good battle, but the match is mostly dominated by Steiner who continues his dominance since winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at WCW Big Bang. As the match is reaching its final moments, Steiner looks set to win, when Goldbergs Music hits. Steiner gets distracted, which allows Flair to get a roll up and pick up the pinfall victory over the WCW Champion.

As WCW Thunder comes on air, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett are stood in the middle of the ring, with the ringside surrounded by security. Jarrett says that it's now gone beyond playful antics between “The Boys” and it's now in the realms of kidnap and assault. Jarrett says that Goldberg has now overstepped his mark and that Police everywhere will be looking for him soon. Jarrett points out that he is sure Goldberg is looking after Midajah, that they have given him until tonight to ensure her safe return, but after that, all bets are off and they will do and use any means necessary to get her back safe, and him locked up in a mental asylum where he needs to be. Steiner doesn't say a word the whole time, and leaves with Jarrett and the Security team.

Mark Jindrak vs Kanyon w/Rick Steiner

Rick Steiner joins Kanyon at ringside during this match. Jindrak puts up a hell of a fight with Kanyon, who takes him to his limit. Both men put on a great fight, but the ending is sadly tainted with Steiner tripping Jindrak at the ropes and costing him the match, falling to the Flatliner from Kanyon.

Torrie Wilson walks up to him and asks if he is doing ok, Helms asks to be left alone but Torrie tells him he need to get his head straight and get back to the real Sugar Shane Helms who won the Cruiserweight Championship and stole the limelight of the Cruiserweight division. She then says that he also needs to make it up with Billy after last week, because they are good friends and he is cut up and angry. Helms says he’s just going to do him, but that he will take onboard what she has said. Torrie tells him “Fine, but remember how you got here and who was the first to welcome you to the roster”.

Booker T is backstage in the interview area with Jeremy Borash who asks him what's been going on with Kanyon recently. Booker T says he has no idea what Kanyon has against him, but that he doesn't care because it gives him a chance to take down a member of the Elite Era. Borash asks what he has in store. Booker replied by saying that he’s laying out the challenger now, to Kanyon, meet him at Halloween Havoc where they can battle for the WCW United States Championship.

Kanyon is now backstage with Jeremy Borash who asks him what he has to say to the challenge of Booker T. Kanyon says he's surprised Booker T wants to take him on, especially knowing how powerful he and his fellow Elite Era members are. Kanyon questions his logic so shortly after he ate defeat inside WarGames. Kanyon says he is however more than happy to accept the challenge and goes to carry on talking when Mike Awesome comes from nowhere and attacks Kanyon. Awesome beats down Kanyon briefly before picking up his championship belt, that's when Paul Heyman enters the shot and the camera’s cut.

Elite Era (Scott Steiner, Chavo Guerrero and Kronik) vs Booker T, AJ Styles and the Natural Born Thrillers

In a packed and stacked main event, members of the Elite Era face off against WCW stars they have scored over the past few months. Although the match isnt full of great action, it's full of great tension as Styles and Chavo get into it, while Kronik and the NBT open old wounds. Only moments into the match, Steiner is removed from the match when Goldberg shows up and begins to brawl with him. Taking it through the crowd and out of the arena. The match continues without Steiner, as it becomes a 3 on 4 handicap match. Although the remaining members of the Elite Era put up a good fight, Chavo ends up falling victim to a Bookend and a 3 count.

Winner: Booker T

After the match ends, the Camera’s are seen rushing backstage where Goldberg and Steiner are still fighting. Both men continue to brawl through the corridors and eventually burst out through the entrance to the building and onto the street. That's where Goldberg once again gets the upper hand on Steiner and spears him through a nearby news cart. Goldberg then stands over Steiner and tells him he has until Monday on Nitro to accept his challenge or he will tear down the world around him.

Diamond Dallas Page is introduced to us live on the titan tron, via live feed, by the announce team. Page thanks them and thanks all his truly loyal fans for not being there every week. Page says he has to make the movies that his fans want to watch, that he can't turn up to backwards towns like Pittsburg, Kansas where he wont be appreciated. This gets a loud reaction from fans who begin to boo heavily. Page then turns his attentions to Kevin Nash, Page says he offered Nash a match at the upcomming PPV but Nash is to dumb and impaitent to se the box office draw in the match. Page says he's taken out advice on a restraining order against Nash after his recent actions on the set of his latest movie and warns him that he will write the final chapter of the Kevin Nash biopic if Nash doesn't heed his advice. Page then ends the live feed by asking the live crowd to show him some love and appreciation by going to see his next movie in Cinema’s and not watching it on Pirated DVD.

Lance Storm vs Chyner

After Ric Flair earned Storm a shot at Chyner just last week, his chances at gaining some revenge have rolled around quickly. They open up Nitro with a great battle as they both waste little time in getting to business kicking each other's behind. The match it's pretty even throughout with Chyner once again showing she has no problems “Hanging with the boys”. Towards the end of the match, Stacy Keibler makes her way to ringside with a clipboard in hand. She ends up providing a brief distraction that allows Chyner to gain the advantage and powerbomb Storm to pick up the victory

The cameras are backstage and follow Chyner as she enters the office of the Elite Era, She takes a seat amongst the other members who are all sitting around as Jeff Jarrett is standing front and centre. Jarrett says he has no time to talk about the details of the plan for tonight, he needs feet out there. Jarrett tells everyone that he has good intel that Goldberg is already at the arena. He continues to tell everyone to travel in pairs and keep in contact at all times. That's when Jarrett hands out radios to everyone and tells them all to stay in contact and report back any suspicious behaviour. Jarrett then reminds them that Midajah still hasn't been heard from and that it's key they get her back safe before getting revenge on Goldberg. Jarrett then tells them all to get out there and do whatever they can to find him.

As Nitro comes back from commercial, Cameras are filming a bunch of the WCW crew all crowded round as Medics rush to the location. As two gurneys are brought into view, the crowd opens up and both Chavo and Chyner are seen unconscious on the floor. EMT’s get both of them into nearby ambulances where they then speed off out of the arena.

Billy Kidman and Kaz Hayashi vs 3 Count

Special Guest Referee is Shane Helms. A good match in the Cruiserweight Division with a great showing from Karagias and Moore who, for the most part of the match, single out and beat down Kaz. Helms stays neutral throughout, getting in the face of both sides to keep control. After a hot tag, Kidman ends up on the offencive and hits a string of moves on Karagias and Moore, eventually leading to Kidman hitting the Shooting Star on Karagias for the 3 count.

After the match, Helms raises the hand of Kidman, but Moore immediately rushes into the ring and gets in the face of Kidman. Moore and Kidman continue to get hot headed towards each other and Helms tries to break them up. Eventually Karagias makes his way back to his feet and gets involved too. At that point Helms pushes them apart and shouts “I've had enough of this sh*t” before turning around and storming out of the ring and up the ramp.

Paul Heyman is backstage in the interview area with just Mike Awesome. Heyman addresses the camera and says he is bringing an army to WCW, last week was just a taste of what's to come. Heyman says he has a steak, a vested interest in WCW and he can do just about whatever he likes. He says his first official act after coming out of the shadows as a Silent Partner was to rehire the gifted Mike Awesome. Heyman then says his next act is to make the Booker T vs Kanyon US title match at Halloween Havoc a 3 way. Heyman says that Awesome hasn't forgotten why he’s not been in WCW for the past few months, that he's coming for Kanyon and his WCW United States Title. Before Heyman finishes, he says he would like everyone to stay tuned to WCW TV, because things are going to get a lot more interesting.

Backstage and Goldberg is spotted by Kronik who finds him outside the arena near the dumpsters. Kronik mocks Goldberg, telling him that his number is up now, that he should hand back Midajah now before everyone gets here to take him out. As Adams pulls out the radio from his pocket, Goldberg laughs. Then from behind, Palumbo and O’Haire jump and attack Kronik out of nowhere. NBT beats down Kronik before Goldberg walks over them both and nods at Palumbo and O’Haire. Goldberg then briefly turns to them and says “That's what happens when you p*ss too many people off”

Mark Jindrak vs Rick Steiner

In the fourth match of the best of 7 series, it's a little more intense from the champion who steps it up a notch. The victory however doesn't come his way as he expects, with Jindrak kicking out twice to two very powerful moves. Steiner then gets annoyed and distracts the referee by going out to ringside and picking up a chair. As the referee rightly stops him from using it and takes it outside the ring, Stiner pulls out his Chains, which he had hidden in his singlet and hits Jindrak square between the eyes, without the referee seeing. As the referee re-enters the rin, Steiner goes to cover Jindrak and picks up the 3 count, making it 3-1 in the best of 7 Series for the WCW Television Championship

Backstage and Vampiro is once again in a dark room but this time he is sitting in front of a WCW play set with Mysterio and Konnan figures. He holds them in each hand before placing them into the ring and onto the mat, covering them with a finer each and counting the 3 counts. Vampiro then looks up to the Camera and says that's what's coming for Konnan and Mysterio. He says he sees himself in them both and only wants for them both to like him and welcome him into their lives. He then places both of them on his shoulders and says to “Look at how great we would be”, with that, the camera cuts.

Gene asks about Jindraks loss earlier tonight and questions his decision to accept the Best of 7 change when he already won the best of 5. Jindrak says that he's not stupid, he knows it was a risk, but that Steiner doesn't have what it takes to win 4 matches in a row. Jindrak says he's going to have to use a different tactic every time and that he's not sure Steiner can think of that many ways to cheat his way to victory.

The recent momentum howere is futile as Animal and Hawk run right through them. Showing absolute dominance in their first match together in over 18 months. Hawk picks up the victory for the team in dominant fashion.

Ric Flair, Lance Storm and Mark Jindrak burst into the office of Jeff Jarrett who is surrounded by security. Flair is the mouthpiece and bursts into a fit of rage against Jarrett. Flair says there is no wonder Jarrett is hiding from Goldberg, because he has screwed so many people over, it's slowly coming back to bite him. Flair says that Chavo has screwed over AJ, Rick is now using cheating to win against Jindrak, Storm and himself are dealing with a Woman who doesn't know a thing about rules and they think it's all enforced from the top down. Flair says he's sick of playing games, Nothing is off the table now and that the Elite Era and Jarrett should watch out, because the Nu-Horsemen are taking no more crap from Jarrett.

Jarrett tries to cut Flair off, but he gets shot down every time, in the end Jarrett asks the security team to physically remove the 3 of them. They leave under their own power, but threaten that his time is coming.

Luger and Bagwell are backstage now, nursing their bruised egos from a failed beat down on the Road Warriors Earlier tonight. As they console each other, a whistle is heard in the distance. As they turn to see what it is, Goldberg steps out behind them. When they turn back, they see him standing there. A huge brawl ensues with Goldberg holding his own. Eventually Hawk and Animal rush to the scene and help in the beat down as it’s slowly becoming apparent that Goldberg has backup inside WCW.

Kevin Nash vs Kanyon

Nash and Kanyon have a great match with a solid performance from both of the men involved. Although it's a non title match, the stakes are still high for Nash who wants to keep momentum up, in hope of getting hands on with Diamond Dallas Page at Halloween havoc. The end comes as Nash is about to hit a Jackknife, when the Music of DDP hits. Distracted, Nash almost lets himself get sucked in, but thankfully is able to turn the tides on his opponent who tried to capitalise. Hitting the Jackknife in all it's glory and getting the 3 count

After the match, Nash runs up the ramp and catches up with DDP who can't get away quick enough. Nash batters page with heavy blow after blow, chasing Page back towards the ringside area. While near the ring, Page is able to get a chair from under the ring. Page manages to hit Nash in the ribs, allowing him time to get back to his feet and following up with a few shots to the back. The WCW backstage staff then rush to the ring and pull apart both of the men as Page willingly walks his way up the ramp shouting “I’m not getting paid enough to do this tonight”.

Just as we think Nitro is over, the Camera’s cut to a situation outside the Arena where Goldberg is standing around 20 meters away from Jarrett and Steiner. Steiner shouts to Goldberg “The Game is over now fool” to which Jarrett and Steiner whisper to each other. Goldberg then informs them that it's not as clear as they think. That's when Flair, Storm, Jindrak, Candido and AJ Styles step out from behind nearby cars, surrounding Jarrett and Steiner. Jarrett then says security are on their way and they will be outnumbered in no time. That's when the Road Warriors, Palumbo and O’Haire, Booker T, Mike Awesome, Mysterio, Konnan, Billy Kidman, Norman Smiley and a whole load of other WCW roster members step out into the open and make a solid ring around Jarrett and Steiner. Jarrett nervous laughs and says “Now don't be stupid, he's not worth helping” Thats when Goldberg charges and spears Steiner to the concreet. A weasel like Jarrett then tries to run, but gets held in by the WCW roster who act like lumberjacks, forming a ring of revenge for Goldberg. Goldberg then grabs Jarrett by the hair and punches him straight between the eyes. Goldberg then single handedly launches a beat down on both men, Jackhammering Steiner onto the hood of a nearby car. Goldberg asks Jarrett if he’s changed his mind, to which Jarrett says no, never. Flair then throws in a set of jump leads, as Storm and Jindrak go to help Goldberg hold a wriggling Jarrett still as Goldberg hooks up the leads to a nearby car battery. Goldberg rubs the two ends together causing sparks. He slowly brings them closer and closer to Jarrett as he continues to try to get out of the grasps of Storm and Jindrak. When the leads are just inches from Jarrett, he pleads with Goldberg who refuses to stop. Eventually Jarrett scream out, “You've got it, you've got it you sick b****d”. Goldberg says “what? what have i got?”. Jarrett says “You have your match for the WCW Championship at Halloween Havoc. If you win, you're reinstated, if you lose, your gone and never come back”. Goldberg smiles and says “That wasn't that hard now, was it” before dropping the leads and laughing. Goldberg says “You are so predictable, you didn't think i was really going to use them did you? I just know you're a cry baby who needs his friends to back him up. Now welcome to how it feels to be a loner”. Jindrak and Storm then let go of Jarrett who collapses to the floor as Goldberg opens a nearby car door. It's Midajah, who comes running to Jarrett unharmed. The group then dispurces as Midajah is seen in tears trying to wake an unconscious Steiner, who is still sprawled across the hood of a car.

Flair says he can officially call tonight an Elite Era Free-Zone. Flair says nobody from the Elite Era is here tonight, so it's a relaxed atmosphere backstage. Backstage and Paul Heman is seen chatting on the phone to someone, telling them he will come to them in the next few days. As he continues the call, Cash walks by. Heyman stops him and asks him to wait there, as he makes his excuses and gets off the phone. Heyman says it's great to see him again, that it's been a while and they did good business together. Heyman tells him that he's looking to get a few of his old “buddies” back together to shake things up a little and asks if he is on board. Cash says he's p****ed with how things have been going for him and offers his hand to Heyman, who accepts, as both men walk off talking about the old times.

We are backstage in the locker room area where Billy Kidman, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias are all sitting on chairs in an arch. Torrie Wilson is standing front and centre of them. Torrie says she is sick of everyone fighting, she points out that Helms is his own man and should make it clear where his loyalties lay, saying that she understands his Loyalty to Moore and Karagias as they came in as a package, but that Kidman is someone who has all know how of the Cruiserweight Division. She then asks them all to stand up and forces everyone to shake hands. With that she says “That wasn't so hard was it”. Helms then asks if he can leave, which prompts him to leave, leaving Kidman with 3 Count, who say nothing to each other for the rest of the time the camera is on them.

Konnan is in the parking lot chatting to WCW staff when Vampiro walks by, Konnan rushes over and asks what Vampiro’s Problem is, why he is blowing hot and cold. Vampiro dnies knowing what Konnan is talking about and says he can't wait around he has to get ready for his match tonight aginst Booker T, but that he would be cool with drinks after the show. Vampiro then walks off as Konnan turns away and has a puzzled look on his face, commenting to a nearby WCW staff member that “that guy is a freak, who is he really”.

After weeks away after being screwed out of the WCW United States Championship and forced out of the good books of the Elite Era, Mike Awesome finally returns in a WCW ring. It's also the reappearance of The Cat, who hasn't been seen in a few weeks on WCW TV. Awesome is accompanied by Heyman. Awesome wins cleanly over Miller, who eats defeat to the Awesome Bomb

Borash thanks him for inviting him out to California and asks what he wanted him to help shar with the WCW fans. DDP says Borash is welcome and that he will be claiming back the cost of the Flight from WCW. DDP then says he wanted him here to help Nash see sense, Page says he wants Nash to realise that there is so much money in big PPV’s for them. Page pleads with Nash to show up at Halloween Havoc, but stay out of his way in the meantime, saying it will help the numbers. DDP finishes by asking his fans to remember to follow his rise in Hollywood via the WCW.com website where they can see clips of behind the scenes actions. Borash finishes up by thanking DDP and says he’s sure Nash will pick up the message but doesn't know how he will take it.

In a great match between the two, Vampiro puts up a good offence against Booker. Thankfully it's a night without the Elite Era and screwy finishes as Booker T makes it a clean win for himself in the pursuit of US Gold.

Backstage as Thunder is about to go off air, the cameras cut to the backstage area where the whole of the locker room is lining the corridors. A car pulls up and outsteps Goldberg who receives a round of applause as he gets out and walks towards the backstage area. Goldberg then walks through the corridors which are filled with WCW staff and stars as he is then seen heading into Eric Bischoff's office, which is when Thunder goes black.
