Ric Flair opens tonight show, stood in the ring, with a microphone in hand and with 2 local police enforcement officers. Flair addresses the crowd, telling them that last week was the best time he's had in a long time. Flair says he's almost glad the “Magnificent 7” turned on him, because it woke him out of his daze of complacency. He goes on to say that getting a new band of Horsemen together is what reinvigorated him to come back fighting, and not just lay down and bow to the “Elite Era”. Flair then goes on to say that last week's arrests on The Steiners, Luger and Bagwell was a reaction to his assault and kidnapping a few weeks ago. Flair said that matter is now in the hands of Law Enforcement and they have been released on bail. Flair says he will explain more about what actually went down soon, but he doesn't want to put a downer on the 300 Episode of Monday Night Nitro. Flair says that at the first Nitro, when he wrestles Sting, he wasn't sure where the show would be now, but he couldn't be prouder that it's reached another milestone. Flair then cuts himself short and says tonight is going to be action packed and he's needs to shut up. Flair says he will see everyone shortly when he is announcing his 5 competitors tonight in the 6 Ways to Hell match, but first he wants to welcome the following match, the staple of WCW, The Cruiserweight Championship. With that, flair exits the ring.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

Rey Mysterio vs Kaz Hayashi

In a match where both competitors are hot off the heels of multiple successful matches, it's shown to be a great way to kick off the 300th episode of Nitro and help to showcase the pace at which the WCW Cruiserweight Championship is gaining traction in WCW fans eyes. Many are saying the recent reign’s of Sting and Rey Mysterio have helped rebuild championships which have been put back on the map. Kaz Hayashi put up a great fight and loses with honor after falling victim to a top-rope hurricanrana.

Backstage Torrie Wilson is about to be interviewed by Gene Okerlund, when Stacy Keibler walks in and interrupts. After a verbal exchange, which is almost impossible to decipher what's being said, as both voices are being raised. It's Keibler who lays her hands on Torrie, dragging her by her hair, out of shot of the camera’s.

Following the commercial break, Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett are on the stage, standing on opposite sides of the entrance ramp. Flair says although this might be his idea, he would like to offer Jarrett the opportunity to announce who his first choice for tonight's qualifiers is. Jarrett looks dubious but says he knows tonight is going to go in his favour tonight, because he has 5 of the best wrestlers in WCW, lined up and waiting. Jarrett then says his first competitor is one half of the Tag Team Champions, Lex Luger. Ric Flair then congratulates him on a good selection. Flair says it won't be a walk over, but he's still confident. Flair then names Booker T as the first opponent selected by himself. Both men then exit the stage, awaiting the entrances of their selections.

Booker T vs Lex Luger

After making their way to the ring, Booker and Luger kick off the match with a collar elbow tie up, with Luger on the winning end and boasting afterwards by flexing his muscles. The crowd is heavily behind Booker T throughout, although he doesn't gain much offence, as Luger proves to be a strong adversary on this 300th episode. With many flurys of offence by Booker, flawed by Luger. It's the final flury of them all, that results in a Book-end, which allows Booker to pick up the victory, in a pretty shocking manner after sustaining so much punishment throughout.

Gene Okerlund is backstage with the former tag team champions, Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’Haire. Gene welcome them back after their short break, to which Palumbo thanks him. Palumbo says they had to take some time out and recuperate after losing their titles. Palumbo goes on to say that they were marked men in the eyes of what we now know is the Elite Era. O’Haire then begins to talk intensely about how they are not only taking back their gold, but taking back the future for themselves and everyone else under the age of “over the hill” and protect the future of the WCW Tag Team Championships. Gene asks them both is they are in a Championship winning mind frame, or just being optimistic, as the Elite Era is on an almost unstoppable roll at the moment. Palumbo says he knows Gene has to remain impartial and ask the questions no matter what, but Palumbo politely asks him not to doubt them, because 10 years from now, nobody will talk about “Totally Buffed”. All anyone will talk about in 2011 will be Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’Haire, the greatest tag team in WCW History. With that, both men high five and walk off. Gene goes to talk to camera, but O’hair quickly jumps into the shot and whispers into the microphone “Greatest of All Time!”.

Once again, Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett are on the stage to announce their next competitors to battle for qualification in the 6 Ways to Hell match. This time Flair says he would like to put forward one of his newest recruits and former WCW US, Cruiser, Hardcore champion, Lance Storm. Jarrett then proceeds to laugh and ask Flair is he has already run out of good competitors, questioning is he had already pulled his ace card, in Booker T. Jarrett then says he may as well announce he is putting Rick Steiner in the following match, and says he hopes that Storm at least makes it out of the match in onc peace, with a smirk on his face.

Lance Storm vs Rick Steiner

In a match that Jarrett implied would be a whitewash, it's pretty clear early on that Lance Storm is able to hold his own against the WCW TV Champion. At times it's pretty clear that the grizzled veteran in Steiner is getting annoyed with the amount Storm is fighting back. The match goes on for some time, with both men getting a decent amount of offence. The Elite Era thankful stay out of this match, but that doesn't stop Steiner attempting to use underhand tactics. After failing to get multiple pinfalls, Steiner goes to the corner to grab his collar to use as a weapon. As he does, Mark Jindrak comes running down to the ring, grabs the other end of the collar and has a tug of war with Steiner, one inside, the other outside the ring. After a quick tussle, Steiner lets go, causing Jindrak to fall backwards. Steiner then laughs and goes to turn around and continue his attack, when without hesitation, Lance Storm hits him under the chin with a Super Kick. Storm then rushes for the cover and gets the 3.

Jarrett and Flair are once again on the stage to announce who they have selected, this time as Jarrett announces Kanyon as his selection, hiss music hits and out he comes. Jarrett shakes the hand of Kanyon and whispers something in his ear, before setting him on his way to the ring. With that, Flair congratulates him, as Flair says he thinks highly of the future of Kanyon. Flair however says that tonight just won't be his night, as he has the monster of all challenges for him. Flair then goes on to say that after much legal wrangling, and going over the fine details of clauses, he is proud to welcome back and announce his selection…

Kevin Nash walks out onto the stage and shakes the Hand of Ric Flair, before gesturing to the live crowd and making his way to the ring in an arena full of cheers.

Kanyon vs Kevin Nash

Nash gets off the mark immediately, laying a truck load of blows on Kanyon, forcing him into the corner, where the attack continues. Getting his first chance to reverse the offence, Kanyon kicks out the knee of Nash, who drops to one knee, allowing Kanyon to start fighting back. The whole match is based around Kanyon trying to keep Nash down, by using any method necessary to attack the knees. Kanyon looks impressive in the match, however it's the returning Nash who gets the last word as he manages to hit Kanyon with a devastating Jacknife Powerbomb. Earning a championship shot in his return match after many months of being excluded from WCW thanks to the Magnificent 7/Elite Era.

Winner: Kevin Nash

After the match, while Nash is celebrating his win and return in the ring, Scott Steiner rushes to the ring. Steiner gets in the ring with an iron bar and swings at Nash. Nash luckily avoids the attack by side stepping. Steiner then drops the bar as Nash clubs him in the back. Both men then brawl as the locker room officials empty out, into the ring and separate Steiner and Nash, who are both fighting tooth and nail to get their hands on eachother. Eventually officials manages to back both men far enough apart that Steiner is ushered up the ramp, while Nash is taken through the crowd, giving both of them enough distance between them.

Once again, Flair and Jarrett are on the ramp to introduce who they have chosen next. Flair starts off and says that he has had a lot of time on his hands to reflect on past decisions and sometimes he has to tell himself he was wrong. With that, Flair introduces his choice, The Natural Dustin Rhodes. Jarrett shrugs his shoulders and says, oh well at least we know it's going to be 3-1 after this match, Dustin stands no chance against the awesome selection, Mike Awesome.

Dustin Rhodes vs Mike Awesome

Kicking into high gear from the off, Mike Awesome lays hard blow after hard blow to Dustin. For the first half of the match, it's 100% Awesome, as he takes no prisoners in beating down Dustin time after time. The heart of the Rhodes family shines through as Dustin continues to get back to his feet to take more and more beatings. It's with that, Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring after Awesome fails to pick up multiple pinfalls. Jarrett screams at Awesome to get the job done, which is not taken too kindly by Awesome, who screams back at him to keep out of it and let him do his job. With that, Dustin manages to take advantage of the distraction and gain some small offence. Worried at ringside, Jarrett tries to get involved to help Awesome, but inadvertently costs Awesome the match by tripping up Awesome and not Dustin in the ring. Allowing Dustin to hit his finisher and pick up the victory. Leaving Jarrett frustrated and walking up the ramp.

Winner: Dustin Rhodes

Backstage Ric Flair is with all 4 members of the Nu-Horsemen. Flair says tonight is going to plan and says he was really proud of their showing last week as a team. Candido interrupts Flair and says he's feeling refreshed and can't wait to learn more from the nature boy. With that, Flair addresses AJ Styles. Flair says he has an idea that will test him next week. Without giving a clue as to what he means, Flair moves onto Storm and Jindrak. Flair says they did a job well earlier and as Storm now has a place in the Main event at New Blood Rising, he is now working on a match for Jindrak to showcase his skills at the PPV. Flair then shows his hand holding up all 4 fingers in the sign of the Horsemen. Flair says that if they remember nothing else, remember that the horsemen are family and that we all watch each others backs at all times.

Backstage Gene Okerlund is with Sting. Gene asks Sting how it feels to beat Jeff Jarrett two night in a row. Sting says he made the best of two bad situations and thankfully he is still WCW US Champion. Sting says he knows things could have been a lot worse, as when the Elite Era has their target set on you, they don't let up that easily. Gene then asks what he next has in store, to which Sting says he will take every day as it comes, while the Elite Era are still in power. Gene then asks how he feels about WCW Nitro reaching 300 episodes, reminding him that he was on the rist and last episode that was on the “Other Network”.

With that there is some noise to the left of the shot and in comes Mike Awesome and Kanyon. Both men waste no time in attacking Sting and stomp him while he's down on the ground. Kanyon then grabs Gene by his jacket, while using the other hand to grab the microphone. Kanyon says that is the first of many shot, because the Elite Era is taking their Championship back.

After the commercial break, Flair and Jarrett are once again standing at the top of the ramp. Flair kicks off proceedings by wishing Jarrett luck as so far it's looking like a whitewash for his selections. FLair says he's not going to let up on Jarrett and says he is choosing the former World Heavyweight Champion and master of the Diamond Cutter, Diamond Dallas Page.

A furious Jarrett says he doesn't know why Flair would chose DDP, he already came up short at Bash at the Beach against Scott Steiner. However he says he would like to see him lose again tonight and says he has chosen the other half of the Tag Team Champions, Buff Bagwell.

Diamond Dallas Page vs Buff Bagwell

Both men make their way to the ring, this time accompanied by Flair and Jarrett respectively. Flair and Jarrett take a seat at ringside to watch the match unfold. As DDP and Bagwell get into the match, it's clear that Jarrett and Flair cannot behave at ringside, as the referee in the ring calls for assistance from backstage to help keep an eye on the two Presidents of World Championship Wrestling. DDP and Bagwell are pretty evenly matched in this match, maybe slightly tipping the favour in the way of DDP, thanks to the roar of the crowd getting behind him at crucial moments. As the match rolls on it's evident that both Bagwell and Jarrett are desperate to win as both try to elude the attention of the referees and use underhand tactics to gain an advantage or better, a win. However with 2 referees now at ringside it proves impossible as Jarrett's attempt to slide the WCW Tag Team Belt into the ring doesn't go unnoticed and gets him ejected from ringside. This leaves Bagwell fighting alone, and it's not long before he falls victim to the Diamond Cutter and gives Ric Flair a clean 5-0 victories and DDP another shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in 3 weeks at WCW New Blood Rising.

After the match, Flair gets into the ring to congratulate DDP on his victory, as he does, Jeff Jarrett walks back out onto the stage, after being ejected from the previous match. Jarrett says it's only the second week of Flair being back in WCW and he is already sick of the sight of him. Jarrett says that when he took out Flair, it was because WCW wasn't big enough for the two of them and that still stands. Jarrett says he can't fire Flair, because they are at the same pay grade, but he can at least try to amend the way things work. Jarrett challenges Flair to a match and says he wants everything to be on the table. Jarrett says he wants Flair to put his position as President on the line at New Blood Rising.

Flair then asks Jarrett to do the same, but Jarrett says he’s got a much better idea what he could put on the line. Jarrett says if he wins, Flair relinquishes his position in WCW and if Flair wins, which he won't. He will then allow Flair to challenge Scott Steiner for the WCW Championship.

Flair laughs at Jarrett and calls him delusional, Flair says he doesn't need to battle Jarrett to get a title shot, just like Jarrett didn't need to earn his shots at the WCW United States Championship. Flair then calls Jarrett the biggest wimp in the history of WCW, but Jarrett doesn't bite. Jarrett simple states that he's smarter than Flair. While Flair was out wheeling and dealing, he was educating himself in the business and learning from the business. In the end both men fail to meet a reasonable agreement and Jarrett goes to leave the stage. Flair then tells him to stop and offers him a second opportunity. Flair says how about they make their match something special, Flair offers him a Street Fight. Flair says if Jarrett really wants him gone, he's going to have to beat him so bad, he can't make it into work the night after for Nitro. Jarrett then smiles and says he is more than willing to accept that, telling Flair he has just backed himself into a corner that he cannot get out of.

Flair and Jarrett then have a stare down as the titles roll.

Mike Tenay: Welcome to WCW Thunder, Live on the USA Network and around the world. Welcome to a new era, a new home a newstart for World Championship Wrestling Thunder. Tonight we are live for 1 hour and boy to we have an action packed night for you. We have not one but two Champion vs Champion matches and a sit down interview filmed yesterday by myself, with the President of WCW, Ric Flair. Sting vs Rick Steiner

The show starts with Sting’s Music as the live crowd goes crazy. Sting walks to the ring with his WCW United States Heavyweight Championship around his waist and awaits the arrival of Rick Steiner. Next out is Steiner, with his WCW Television Championship, starting the first of tonight two Champion vs Champion matches. The match gets off to a ruckus start as the crowd is heavily behind Sting. The Sting chants and support continues throughout. Both men battle hard and resort to multiple slug-em-out brawls. In the end it's the Stinger who picks up the victory as he hits bost a Stinger Splash and a Scorpion Death Drop to pick up the victory, marking the first match in the new era of WCW Thursday night Thunder.

Winner: Sting

Straight after the match, before Sting can even celebrate, Kanyon and Mike Awesome rush the ring and beat down on Sting. Kanyon and Awesome don't stop at just flooring the Icon, the proceed to perform their finishers on him, before Awesome rolls out of the ring, takes the US Championship and roll back into the ring. Kanyon and Awesome then hold opposite sides of the belt and lower it over the head of Sting, placing it so it blocks the face of the Champ. Both men then bow the head in mourning, before proceeding to laugh, as they exit the ring.

Backstage in the corridor, Mark Jindrak, Lance Storm, AJ Styles and Chris Candido are sat round talking to each other. Jindrak says tonight is their first real test, without the backup of Ric Flair, they are now on their own in a hostile environment. Storm says that in their tag match, they want Styles and Candido to keep an eye out backstage and watch what the Elite Era is up to. Styles says he has their back and that he and Canadido have already got a plan in mind if anyone tries to mess around in their business tonight.

A short announcement appears on screen informing the viewing public that the following pre taped interview may feature language and descriptions that some viewers might find offencive.

The interview opens up with Mike Tenay and Ric Flair sat in a room, on opposite sofa’s to each other, both in a relaxed posture.

<div style="text-align:left;">Mike Tenay: Thank you for joining me today, i know the last few weeks haven't been easy for you and im thankful you have given me this time to help us understand what has been going on recently.

Ric Flair: Thank you Tenay, im glad to find time to sit down and explain my side of the story.

Mike Tenay: If you don't mind, i would like to start off by asking about what led to the actions and attacks of the Magnificent 7, before your subsequent attack.

Ric Flair: Well i think it all started when it came to naming the group, i really think that the friction started showing then. From day one i had the idea of being the Magnificent 7, 7 of WCW’s greatest starts, together with one goal. Ok so our intentions at the time were not good, but we had a shared passion. But from day one, Jarrett and i would have our disagreements. Yes we would pull it together when it came to the camera’s, but backstage we would always tussle over power. Jarrett always wanted to be the leader, but i was the one in power. Jarrett always wanted to call us “The Elite” but he didn't get his way. That has obviously changed now but the fact remains, just that little disagreement started to create cracks.

Mike Tenay: What about when the attacks started and how were you unaware of it for so long.

Ric Flair: I wouldn't say i was unaware, i seen what everyone else seen, i don't think anyone can question how real and how calculated the attack looked against “us”. On reflection it was the perfect plan, i hate to admit it but it's the perfect bait and switch plan in wrestling, possibly ever. I remember bringing in the Private Investigator and the reactions of the other guys. They were so against the idea, they said it would make us look weak. That should have been a sign but you don't suspect your friends… Do You?

Mike Tenay: I guess you don't, but in Wrestling, everything is possible.

Ric Flair: I guess i learnt that the hard way. Friends and Family are different, i have learnt that the hard way. Not only did i, but Road Warrior Animal also paid the price of trusting the wrong people. He was in on, and behind the attacks himself, but like a pack of wolves, they didn't hesitate to turn on their own.

Mike Tenay: Have you Spoken to Animal since the incident and got his feelings from what happened.

Ric Flair: No i haven't answered any of his calls. I know he was turned on and suffered, but the fact remains that he still took part in the betrayal and i think the wounds are deep. Can i forgive him in time?! Maybe, but right now everything is still raw and i can't have pity for the man who had no pity for me when he was kidnapping me and driving me away in the trunk of a car.

Mike Tenay: Now that night was shocking to all out viewers, not only had Eric Bischoff got involved in the matter but he has also scrutinized the movements of everyone on the roster. What actually happened that night, that we didn't see.

Ric Flair: That night started like any other. Eric Bischoff had told me and Jarrett that this was getting too big of a deal and he needed all the hands on deck. I guess once Jarrett had the power, the lie and the plan didn't need to continue. That night everything fell into place for him and the rest of the Elite Era. I remember watching each of my “Friends” being taken away on stretchers, not quite believing what was going on in front of me. Maybe now, looking back, i should have been more sceptical, but the plan to rattle me was working. When your the last person standing, you know your next, you act irrational to cover yourself. I remember that night. Getting attacked by all 6 of them, with weapons in their hands, not knowing who was behind it. It wasn't until i was thrown into the trunk of the car that i heard the voice of Scott Steiner and in that moment, everything flashed before my eyes and everything finally made sense.

Mike Tenay: So after you had been bundled into the trunk, what happened? This has been the question on everyone's mind, where were you, what took you so long to come back.

Ric Flair: Right after i was bundled into the Trunk, i was driven for miles, which felt like forever. I was eventually taken from the trunk, in what was a disused barn. I was beaten again, but this time i knew and they knew the truth was out. They had removed their masks and took pleasure in beating me down. I was fighting for my life, trying not to give up. Eventually they tied me to a post and left me there. It was almost 24 hours before i managed to work my way loose. When i did, i couldn't stand and had to crawl out. I eventually got to a road and that's all i remember.

Mike Tenay: You don't know what happened next?

Ric Flair: I know that i woke up in hospital, but how i got there i didn't know. When i eventually came around the nurses told me i had been there in a coma for over a week. That night, i was laying in my hospital bed, brain fuzzy not remembering anything clearly, when the television in my room was set to the USA Network, it was Monday night and that's when it all came back to me. That night i discharged myself, called the only person i know i can trust, Arn Anderson and had him pick me up. From then on i stayed in a motel and allowed Arn to report back to me, as i planned my return.

Mike Tenay: SO the only man who knew you was alive and where you were, was Arn Anderson.

Ric Flair: Well at the beginning yes, but slowly i started to reach out, the first was Jindrak, after what he had been through with Animal and the Elite Era, it seemed like he would want to fight the cause. When it came to Lance, we already had a great relationship, when he and Awesome Split, i think i seen him as “In my Shoes”. AJ Styles and Air Paris were just two stars who Arn couldn't praise enough. It's a shame Paris got injured, but the friendship is still there. As for Candido i remember thinking back to his run as WCW Cruiserweight Champion, how he was dealt a bad card and how no matter how i tried to back him with the management at the time (Bischoff, Turner), there just wasn't an appetite for him. Now that i hold shares in WCW, i atleast get some say. We have since struck a great friendship and while Paris, Styles, Storm and Jindrak were working behind the scenes, Candido was visiting me daily helping plan the revenge.

Mike Tenay: The return and hype surrounding the revenge had everyone scratching their heads and it's no doubt that it made an impact, but the question i have, is why after all that time, did you only bring in the police on Nitro.

Ric Flair: I think every plan needs to be executed correctly and to the letter. It wouldn't have had the success it did, it it wasn't on live tv, it also wouldn't have had the same effect if it wasn't on the night Jeff Jarrett decided to once again challenge for the United States Championship. There is no doubt he planned to have their help, i merely took that option away.

Mike Tenay: What happened to the charges? They made it to this past Monday's Nitro.

Ric Flair: Without giving too much detail away on the terms. I came to an agreement with Jeff that let me have power to do a few things, in return, i withdraw my complaint. That's how you got to see the Return of Kevin Nash this past week. That won't be the end of it. But for now im happy.

Mike Tenay: So what does the future have in store for us, with the current situation ongoing.

Ric Flair: I think it's just a matter of time before we eventually remove Jeff Jarrett from any power in WCW, that is the goal. The second goal would be to end the Elite Era for good and the third would be to put the Nu-Horsemen on the map and set them up for a great future, Something, that now i have a vested interest in WCW, is something i have to make sure of.

Mike Tenay: Thank you for your time Mr Flair, it has been great to sit down and get your side of the story.

Lance Storm and Mark Jindrak vs Totally Buffed

Totally Buffed are by far the favourites in this match, however once the match gets started, it's clear that the betting odds may have been misplaced as Lance Storm and Mark Jindrak work together so well, that Stevie Ray is left asking if these two have teamed in a past life. In a shocker of an ending, after both teams putting up such a good fight. It's Lance Storm who hits Lex Luger with a Super Kick and gets the clean pinfall over the WCW World Tag Team Champions.

Backstage Booker T and DDP are stood in the corridor talking about trying to overcome Scott Steiner. Booker and DDP say they have faced the wall and know they can climb it, but somehow, be it Elite Era or Midajah, they haven't managed to beat the World Champ. Booker and DDP agree to work together at New Blood Rising, at least until they have have taken Steiner out of the equation permanently.

Backstage Tony Schiavone is sitting down with Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. Tony says he has been drafted in to try and settle whatever dispute is going on between them. Stacy tells him that WCW is her ground, she is the one Woman of WCW who matters, this is when Torrie says that WCW is big enough for more than one face, but says she is more than capable of being the face of WCW. this is when Tony asks them to be civil and just agree to share the limelight. This then causes both Stacy and Torrie to launch a verbal attack on Tony, before both standing up and storming off. Before the segment ends, Tony Schiavone says “Well at least for a split second they were on the same page”.

Scott Steiner vs Rey Mysterio

In tonight's Main event, it's the second of the two Champion vs Champion matches. This time it's Heavyweight vs Cruiserweight. In a match that on paper seems extremely one sided, it's a pleasant surprise when we see Scott Steiner being given the run around and on the defencive from Mysterio, who’s pure sped outmatches Steiners power on many occasions. The match goes for some time, as it's Mysterio who does all the leg work while Steiner plays the best heel in the company and gets the fans hating him at every move. Inevitability eventually sets in, but it's not without a fight. Steiner eventually locks in the Recliner and forces Mysterio to tap out.

Winner: Scott Steiner

As the pyros die down and the show opens with a big bang, the crowd still going wild, the music of Ric Flair hits. Ric Flair then comes to the ring which is littered in weapons which you would find on an everyday Street. Flair then steps into the ring with a microphone in his hand and proceeds to kick all the weapons out of the Ring before calling Jeff Jarrett too ringside. After waiting some time Flair begins to get agitated and proceeds to start dropping elbows on street signs which have been left on the mat in the ring and stop bouncing off the ropes. Then almost out of nowhere Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the top of the ramp and tells Ric Flair that he doesn't have time all patients for the types of games that Flair wants to play, so he should just stop making an idiot out of himself, get backstage and start coaching his new Horsemen as they are going to be slowly dismantled when the Elite Era finally get their hands on them. Jeff Jarrett then turns around walks back through the curtain leaving Ric Flair standing in the ring still frustrated and still looking for a fight. Nitro then cuts to a commercial break

Mike Awesome and Kanyon vs Natural Born Thrillers

After returning back to WCW bash at the beach the natural born thrillers have spent most of their time trying to get into the heads of Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger. tonight however the Natural Born Thrillers are having to take on the henchmen of the elite era otherwise known as Mike Awesome and Kanyon. Over the past few months it is been Kanyon and Mike Awesome who have been running errands for the Elite Era. Tonight once again they are out to help the Elite Era and hinder the natural born thrillers. Within no time, both teams slug it out in a heavy hard hitting brawl. The match showcases the abilities of Kanyon throughout, who looks to be the star of the match. This however doesn't help his team win, as the recent feud between Awesome/Kanyon and Sting comes back to bite them on the ass, as Stings face appears on the Tron. this proves enough to distract them and allow Palumbo to roll up Awesome and get the 3.

After the match, Palumbo and O’Haire are laughing at Kanyon and Awesome in the ring, when outcomes Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger, who burst through the curtain and begin attacking the Natural Born Thrillers. Awesome and Kanyon join them in the attack on the ramp and after a short time beating them down, The Tag Champs and their lackeys retreat backstage, leaving the WCW officials to help Palumbo and O’Haire to the back as they are unable to do it under their own power.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with an angry looking Shane Douglas. Borash goes to ask Douglas a question, but immediately gets cut off. Douglas says he has had enough of the hypocrisy in WCW, he came here to prove himself and the WCW management are too busy with themselves to recognise his talent and the success he could be for the company. Douglas says tonight he doesn't care who he has to battle, but he's going to beat them and do the same each and every week until someone takes notice.

Backstage Jeff Jarrett is stood outside the door of his office with Jeremy Borash. Borash is holding the microphone as Jeff smartens up his shirt and tie. Jarrett then addresses the camera and says he is always looking to make things bigger and better in WCW, that's why he has to announce the following. Jarrett says that over the past few weeks, Sting, Kanyon and Mike Awesome have been “Causing problems” and that he is going to let them solve it. Jarrett makes a match between the 3 at WCW New Blood Rising, stating that the best men, but corrects himself to the best man will win. Jarrett says he has no bias in the booking and wishes them all the best, before smirking as he turns to re-enter his office.

In only his second title defence since being awarded the title, Rick Steiner is up against what is joked about by the announcers as someone who was obviously chosen by Steiner to “let him off the hook”. A cocky Steiner starts the match off by hitting a few running shoulder tackles and taunting his superiority over Smiley. From then on however, it's Smiley who upsets the champ, with his speed and agility in play, he has Steiner on the back foot throughout the match. It's not until the final 30 seconds of the match that Steiner gets any control back. He then uses that time to crush Smiley while he has the chance and hits a devastating Steiner Driver to pick up the win and narrowly successfully defend his TV Championship.

After the match, Ric Flair’s music hits and Flair walks to the top of the ramp with a microphone under his arm as he claps at Steiner in the ring. Flair then gets on the microphone and addresses Steiner. Flair says that Steiner was lucky tonight because he got too big for his shoes and almost lost it all. Flair says that's very similar to the whole of the Elite Era. With that's, Flair says he doesn't want Steiner to be forgotten with poor choices of opposition which will degrade the reputation of the WCW TV Title, No Flair says he has just the man who can show up at New Blood Rising and give Steiner the fight of his life. With that, fair signals to the back and out walks Mark Jindrak. Flair then pats him on the back as he leaves for the back. Both Jindrak and Steiner stare down as the show cuts to commercials.

Backstage Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson are one again arguing who is the face of WCW. Both argue they are the best female athlete in WCW and the best looking. With that, in walks a figure dressed in a long glamorous outfit. Both women stop in their tracks and look directly at none other than Women's Legend, The Fabulous Moolah. Moolah looks both women up and down, telling them they have no right to call themselves the faces of the women, that titles like that have to be earned and neither of them have earned such a title. Moolah tells them that they should both shut up until one of them proves their stuff. Keibler and Wilson look shocked as Moolah walks off.

Shane Douglas vs Booker T

Just last week Doulas was demanding serious competition and chances in WCW, complaining backstage that his talents were wasted and it's his time. With that, tonight's match is made and now underway. In a great match between the two, that sees both sides get a great deal of offence. It's sadly not a great night for Douglas as Booker T picks up the victorys, continuing his momentum on the way to WCW New Blood Risings, 6 Ways to Hell WCW Championship Match.

After the match, Shane Douglas roll out of the ring and snatches the microphone off the ring announcer. Douglas says he's sick of WCW, he's sick of the politics, the sterilization of his words, the lack of opportunity and how “Nobodys” are getting favoured over him. He then tells WCW management that he's quitting, effective immediately and then refers to Eric Bischoff as a yes man to the politics of the boys and that he needs to not just man up but get a backbone and learn to be more extreme in his future plans for WCW. With that, Douglas throws the microphone back to the ring announcer and exits the arena through the live crowd.

In a match set up to hone the skills of the Nu-Horsemen, Jindrak, Styles and Candido work well as a team. Slowly picking apart the opposition, who put up a good fight but are no match for the collective power of the Horsemen. The win comes as Jindrak hits his finisher on Cash to pick up the victory.

Backstage the trio of Jindrak, Styles and Candido are celebrating, when Ric Flair and Lance Storm walk into the locker room. Flair says they are celebrating too early as Storm has a match in the main event tonight. The trio pats him on the back and apologies. Flair then says that they did good tonight but this is just the start, he says he sees great things for them all and that if they continue to shine and work as a unit, they will be unstoppable and the Elite Era won't know what's about to hit them.

Following the previous segment is the whole collective of the Elite Era, including Chavo Guerrero, Mike Awesome and Kanyon who have been associates of the group for some time. Jeff Jarrett starts by thanking everyone for being there and says he needs to talk to them all about “What's Next”. Jarrett says that tonight Chavo has to take on Kevin Nash, thanks to Ric Flair, but that he shouldn't worry, because Nash is a big lump who is easy to chop down. Jarrett tells Chavo to work on the Knees and all should be ok. He then goes on to address the Main Event between Steiner and Storm. Jarrett says he has no doubt who will win, but asks that Steiner takes it easy on him, because they all want him to make it to New Blood Rising, so they can embarrass him and the Nu-Horsemen live on PPV. Jarrett then tells everyone to prepare for a war, that right now the lines are being drawn but not crossed, but that it can't go on like that forever and that someone will drop the first bomb. He says that's when everyone will earn their stripes and members of the Elite Era and that those who stand tall and fight for the right thing will be rewarded when the dust settles. Jarrett then says they are all dismissed and wishes Chavo luck tonight.

Kevin Nash w/Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero jr

In a match heavily favouring the sly tactics passed onto him by Jarrett, Chavo picks apart the knees of Nash. It's a strong story all the way through of Nash battling his way round on his bruised knees as Chavo keeps hitting him with kicks to the legs. The tactics only work for so long as theo whole match gets dictated by Chavo, however the finish is delivered by Nash, who catches Chavo in mid air from a top rop dive and hits him with a Jackknife Powerbomb. The one and only move and offence used by Nash, but provides him with the 3 count for the win.

Following the match, Mysterio jumps in the ring and helps Nash to his feet, raising his arm in victory and walking him around the ring in victory. Mysterio then stands over Chavo, with his Cruiserweight Championship in hand and is seen something to him that the camera’s do not pick up. Mysterio then walks to the back with Nash, helping him every now and then as he stretches his legs in pain.

Scott Steiner vs Lance Storm

With all the hype around the Formation of both the Elite Era and the Nu-Horsemen, it's no surprise that this main event has a lot of eyes on it, with the potential of what's to come in the future. The live crowd is hot for the match and there is a ruckus atmosphere as the match gets into full swing. Most would have thought the World Heavyweight Champion would crush the competition, but Lance Storm proves to be a formidable force. Outclassing Steiner in moments, the furious Champ plays rough with Storm at every chance he gets. Thankfully the match doesn't have any outside interference as Steiner came to the ring without Midajah or the rest of the Elite Era, so tonight both men are alone in a war. After countless slams and suplex, Storm continues to fight on, as Steiner continues his onslaught with Storm kicking out at 2 every time. It's not long before the fans start to get even more het up as the feeling in the room begins to change, with the PPV fight feel in the air and the fans believing Storm could fight through it and pick up the win and shock the world. It's with that, that Storm gets to his feet and hits a spectacular superkick and falls onto Steiner. As the crowd counts the 1-2- Steiner kicks out and pulls himself up, furious that he now has a bloody nose. Steiner then stomps the hell out of Storm and locks in the Recliner. After what feels like an eternity, The referee begins to raise the arm to check Storm can continue as he refuses to tap. The referee gets to the second count of the arm drop and raises for a third. For a moment the arm stays up, but drops to th floor and the referee is left no other option to forfeit the match to Steiner.

Winner: Scott Steiner

Rumours are still flying around about the actions of Shane Douglas this past Monday on WCW Nitro. Reports at the moment are saying that WCW has not granted Shane Douglas from his contract, but are working with him to make sure he stays with WCW. Other rumours are pointing towards an impending lawsuit between the two as WCW is furious dues to the breach of contract between the two. We will have more as the story plays out.</div>

Thursday Night Thunder opens with Big Poppa Pump standing in the ring. Steiner along with Midajah complains about how unfair the 6 Ways to Hell match is for him and how disrespected he feels as champion. Steiner says he will go down in history as the greatest WCW Champion ever and that Ric Flair needs to realise it's not the amount of times you win it and lose it. It's about the time you win it, hold it and show your dominance at the top.

With that, the music of DDP Hits, DDP comes out and exchanges a few words with Steiner before the music of Dustin Rhodes hits.

Now 4 out of the 6 men in the 6 Ways to Hell match are in the ring and the tension begins to heat up. Booker says he can't wait to get his hands on Steiner again and hope that this time his Elite punks stay out of it.

Next the music of Lance Storm hits and he makes his way into the ring. Steiner mocks him and says out of them all, he is the one who least deserves to be in the match. Steiner says he is there because he is Flairs new poster boy. Storm laughs it off and says that he earned his place like everyone else and he will give Steiner the fight of his life. Finally the last man in the 6 Ways to Hell match comes out and it's “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash.

His 5 challengers then all lean on the rope, looking up the ramp at Steiner who looks visibly shaken by what he has to overcome at WCW New Blood Rising

Backstage Jeff Jarrett is seen talking to Mike Awesome, Kanyon and Chavo Guerrero Jr. Jarrett says that although they haven't been coming up with the results he wants over the past few weeks, their loyalty and determination is not going unnoticed. Jarrett says he would love to welcome them into the fold of the Elite Era, but they still have a lot yet to prove. Jarrett then tells them that he's giving them another chance tonight. He's going to team team them up to go against Palumbo and O’Haire, oh and the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, Sting. They are all a little taken back when Jarrett says Sting, but puff their chests and they all promise to hand out an ass whooping to the three of them.

Shane Helms vs Kaz Hayashi vs Elix Skipper

In a good match representing the Cruiserweight Division. Three of it's young and brightest stars battle it out to further their way up the ladder to a title shot. Kaz shines through with his offence and is the standout star of the match. However it's Helms who picks up the victory thanks to Kaz already doing the groundwork on Skipper.

Backstage in the locker room, Flair and Jindrak are sat down talking over his chance at singles gold. Flair tells Jindrak that nothing feels as good as winning gold by yourself. Flair points out his Tag Team Championship win, but says that until you take the gold home yourself, you never really know if your a star. Flair offers Jindrak some words of advice for their New Blood Rising match and tells Jindrak to just keep to the plan and the belt will be his. Jindrak stand and hugs Flair, telling him “i’ll take out the dog faced gremlin and bring home the gold”.

Hugh Morrus vs Shawn Stasiak

Stasiak starts the match off by posing in the ring as Stacy Keibler stands on the ring apron shouting insults as Morrus. Morrus goes to interject Keibers insults when Stasiak attacks him from behind. The two then have a good even battle in the ring with Morrus and Stasiak bringing out the best in each other. Sadly the pattern of Stasiak wins continues as once again it's Stacy Keibler who provides all the assists needed to help Stasiak take advantage and score the win.

After the match, the music of Billy Kidman hits. Out walks Kidman and Torrie Wilson to the top of the ramp. Both stare down with Stasiak and Keibler who were just celebrating in the ring. After a few tense moments of the staredown, Kidman and Wilson turn round and head to the back, clearly sending a message to Stasiak and Keibler that things ain't over just yet.

Backstage there is a lot of noise and officials are seen running, as the Camera follows them down the hallway. Referees and Agents are then seen trying to get between Scott Steiner and Dustin Rhodes, who has been heavily beaten down by Steiner and in face down on the concrete. Steiner fights off the members of staff multiple times, to continue the assault. Eventually Steiner is restrained but that doesn't stop him from running his mouth. Steiner tells Dustin that he's sorry but he don't think he's going to make it to New Blood Rising now.

Sting and The Natural Born Thrillers vs Mike Awesome, Kanyon and Chavo Guerrero Jr

Two sides of a battle have been drawn already tonight. Both Sting and The NBT have had run ins with the Elite Era for not just weeks but months. Tonight the lackeys have been sent to do the job, and what a job they do. Mike Awesome proves he is the powerhouse, while Chavo uses his speed to gain every advantage. It is clear however that Kanyon is the brains of the trio, directing traffic and knowing the best time to strike. The match almost looks to be an upset multiple times as the Elite Era Wannabe Trio pick apart Palumbo and single him out for most of the match. Fate however seals the fate of the match as Palumbo makes it for the tag and O’Haire and Sting prove to be too much of a match. O’Haire manages to seal the win, hitting a swanton on Awesome to pick up the win.

Winner: Sean O’Haire

Before the Announcers can welcome us to WCW Monday Nitro, AJ Styles comes flying through the curtain and lands face first on the stage. He is closely followed by WCW Champion Scott Steiner who picks AJ to his feet and continues the beat down, all the way down the ramp. Steiner is flanked by Midajah who runs to the time keepers area and expresses that they should get a referee in the ring because there is a match about to start. A Referee gets into the ring and separates Steiner from the assault. The referee then asks AJ if he is able to continue, which he nods. The Referee then calls for the bell.

AJ Styles vs Scott Steiner

As the bell rings, Steiner launches another onslaught of blows. He continuously lifts AJ to his feet and slapping him down, making a point to show his dominance in WCW. The announcers comment multiple times that the rest of the Nu-Horsemen are still not here yet and that AJ is on his own. After a few minutes beating AJ down, Steiner goes for the pin, but just before the 3, a resilient AJ kicks out. A furious Steiner pushes his shoulders back to the mat and goes for a pinfall again. AJ once again kicks out, a furious Steiner gets to his feet kicks the bottom rope in anger and then walks to AJ again and locks in the Recliner. After a few desperate moments, Styles is forced to tap as he sees no way out.

Winner: Scott Steiner

Following the match, Steiner calls Midajah into the ring, but as he is holding the ropes open for her to enter, Dustin Rhodes comes running down the ramp with a bandaid on his head and his ribs taped up. Dustin blindsides Steiner and proceeds to hit him in the back of the head with forearm after forearm while he is face down on the mat. Referees and agents then rush to the ring to seperate the two, dragging Dustin up the ramp, as Steiner is left to pull himself up in the ring. Midajah hands Steiner the Championship belt and the two men have a shouting match as Agents escort Dustin backstage.

In a good match for the live crowd, Moore and Karagias put up a good battle against the two larger men. The speed of Karagias and Moore helps the two a lot during the match, helping them to stay out of or get out of trouble. It's Palumbo who ends up picking up the victory after Karagias attempts a top rope move, but lands into the boot of Palumbo and enables him to pick up the 3.

Right after the bell rings, Palumbo and O’Haire get to celebrating in the ring, when Bagwell and Luger make a run for the ring. Just as they are about to slide under the bottom rope and enter the ring, Palumbo and O’Haire catch eyes with them. Backstage AJ Styles is in the medics room when Ric Flair walks in to check up on him. Flair says he's sorry he's only just arrived and can't believe Steiner would stoop so low after Flair and Jarrett has struck an agreement to at least stop the shows falling into utter chaos. Flair says it's most likely due to Jarrett not being here tonight, but that it's no excuse for his behaviour. Thats when Jindrak, Storm and Candido walk in. Storm says AJ shows the heart of a true warrior out there tonight. All of them say they are proud of him and say he would have taken Steiner to the limit has it been a fair match. Flair then says to Styles, not to worry as he will deal with Steiner tonight.

On his way to find and deal with Scott Steiner, Flair runs into an irate Dustin Rhodes. Rhodes says he wants his hands on Steiner for his cowardly attack this past Thursday on Thunder. Flair says he caught him at the right time, that he will give Dustin the match, so long as he promises to dish out some justice for his boy AJ. Dustin agrees and says he will beat Steiner to within an inch of his life, offering to leave just enough so that he can make it until Sunday and lose his title at WCW New Blood Rising. Flair shakes his hand and tells him to go and train, because he has his match this Thursday on Thunder.

Mike Awesome vs Mark Jindrak

Before the match starts, Kanyon comes to ringside and opens up a chair to watch the match. In a heavy slugging match, two of the big young men in WCW lay into each other battling for the win. The match is pretty open when it comes to the offence with neither man looking to be steamrolling the other. The end of the match comes as Kanyon steps up onto the ringside and distracts Jindrak. Awesome comes in for the attack from behind but Jindrak sidesteps and Awesome knocks Kanyon off the ring apron. Jindrak then rolls up Awesome for the 3 and dolls out of the ring.

Winner: Mark Jindrak

Backstage and the camera cuts to Scott Steiner being handcuffed. Flair is standing nearby telling the local police that he doesn't want to press charges, but he wants to have it on record that it's his one and old warning. Steiner is then dragged backwards out of the arena, into a waiting car, screaming abuse and threats and Flair the whole time.

Locker Room Leaders vs Shawn Stasiak and Billy Kidman

In a bid to get Stasiak and Kidman on the same page and settle a long time feud, this match was set up to help ease the tension. The match starts off with Stasiak and Kidman looking to be working together, with Kidman starting in the ring. The trouble comes when Kidman attempts to tag in Stasiak, Stasiak jumps down off the apron and proceeds to walk up the ramp, not turning. Kidman is then left to fight it out alone, and after putting up a good fight, the numbers become to much and he gets his shoulders pinned for the 3 by Konnan.

Showing off what the cruiserweights have to offer, is two former champions. Helms gives Chavo a run for his money in this match. Making him work for the victory all the way through. It's not until the referee turns his back for a moment, that Chavo kicks Helms between the legs and hits him with a Brainbuster to pick up the victory, heading into his WCW Cruiserweight Championship match this Sunday against Rey Mysterio.

Gene Okerlund is now backstage with Kevin Nash. Gene asks Nash about his plans for this Sunday. Nash says he wants to teach Steiner and his Elite Era a few lessons. Nash says it's going to be a long tim before the wounds of his forced retirement are healed and he's still picking out bits from his wound, so it's nowhere near ready to heal yet. Nash says he doesn't want to go after the WCW title, he wants to go after Steiner and ensure he deals with him, before he deals with the rest of the Elite Era.

Behind the curtains, the camera cuts to Flair telling Jindrak that tonight he wants him to join him ringside and study his match with Rick Steiner. Flair tells him that a true champion scouts his oposition and takes them apart using every weakness. Flair says he has high hopes for Jindrak and he can count tonight as the beginning of his Legacy of Learning from the Naitch.

Ric Flair vs Rick Steiner

After making their way to the ring, Flair pulls out a sat for Jindrak and has him sit ringside for the match. Rick Steiner is apprehensive to begin the match, refusing to turn his back on Jindrak, thinking an attack is imminent. It takes some time for the match to get started, but slowly and surely the pace picks up. It's not long before both men are shouting to Jindrak at ringside. Flair is shouting for him to watch what he's about to teach him, and Steiner shouting for him to watch what he's about to do to his mentor. After a lot of offence from Steiner, Flair manages to pick up the victory after capitalising on Steiner's arrogance at shouting abuse to Jindrak. Flair manages to roll him up while his back is turned and pick up the 3.

Winner: Ric Flair
