So, something I've wanted to do in the lead up to the release is "crowd source" some skill ratings from all of you. If interested, you can fill out the form below and I will take the worker into account in the skill listed when rescaling the ratings for release.

Before you begin, if you want a more in-depth explanation of each stat, you should check out Derek_B's excellent mod making guide from 2013 HERE

The most important thing to note is that the skills should be reflective of how much each skill makes an audience CARE about what they are doing, not necessarily a willingness to do so. An example would be the Hardcore stat. Your standard CZW/BJW wrestler is more than willing to do hardcore/deathmatch matches (reflected in their personality in the liberal category) but shouldn't be at the level of a peak Mick Foley or Atsushi Onita in terms of making people CARE about what they are doing (FMW sold out 30,000+ seat stadiums for a reason).

I've added a quick summary of each stat below (some descriptions stolen liberally from Derek's guide), as well as a few "archetypes" of practitioners of each form. I've deliberately left out active workers in the archetype section (for the most part) as to not influence who you pick.

Feel free to fill out as many categories as you like (and add more than 5 if you want as well).

Not sure if the NWA National title is in the data, but the NWA announced today that it’s returning at the 70th anniversary show October 21st when a new champion will be crowned.

Global Force and NWA are apparently partnered up now.

Example submission from me. I'm sure I've forgot people, so don't slay me.

Again, I'm looking for your opinions, so don't take this as "these will be the top 5 in each stat". I'm more using this as a gauge on who to look at for ratings.

Would it be wrong if I filled up the list with people from CHIKARA, Exoticos and other stupid gimmicks . That stuff makes me pop. That's the issue with opinions everybody has one but they aren't all the same. Your list doesn't include those sort of things like acting etc so what happens is the workers get the love and the entertainers get short shrift. When I was looking for entertainers at the end of the last draft I was shocked to discover La Chica Yeye was anything but incompetent and that most of the CHIKARA roster are clearly much better workers than the mod indicates. Not criticizing the idea which I think is great just the fact that as usual the in ring stuff is getting the most love and performance short shrift. Guys like Ishii need upgrading of course but I actually think its more an issue with people like the Miz who rarely screws up and is just a damn good worker now but who always gets forgotten because people think he is just a talker. I hope you understand my point that I love your idea I just think it's not necessarily addressing the issues with the mod but rather tweaking the stuff it largely does very well now.

I fully intend to do a round 2 of feedback on the other categories. As you noted, this round is ONLY on top row + performance and that is intentional. As I said it's a great idea to ask for input to get a consensus and the fact that I saw Ishii and Buddy Murphy getting mentioned made me feel that people were indeed taking it seriously. You understand my concern of course because the list as shown was Meltzeresue and I always felt that RWC was pretty good with the top guys in the in ring stats but perhaps weaker for the entertainer stats. It's one of the reason the WWE struggles in the mod because the performance side is not as strongly up for them as the in ring is for New Japan.

2 & 3) I know - this mod has never sucked and I am confident it wouldn't have sucked even if you had decided to Meltzer it up by shifting even father to the in ring side of things. I hope you got that I didn't hate the idea of asking for feedback and input but rather wanted to rep for the entertainment side of the biz that doesn't always get the love from the hardcore fanbase (anyone playing a wrestling management sim like this qualifies as pretty much hardcore fanbase). It's why I love Rockverse and Titanverse so much because willr0ck and willywillywilly have thrown in so much humour that plays off wrestlings rich colourful and oft times bizarre history.

I know or 100% certain you are trying to do the best job you can with this

Chalk me down as another person who doesn't care so much about the top row wizards. As it stands, the mod seems to link top row and Performance skills too strongly and that makes it a bit rough unless you're playing a certain kind of promotion. (Basics is a real offender and what it takes to get a 90, let alone a 100 rating, needs to be looked at closely. There's not much incentive to get veterans with a lot of experience in to help talent develop in the ring because you can find plenty of young, uninjured guys who have exceptional Basics.)

But as far as Selling goes... man, I don't think anyone is a top 5 seller today except by default. Wrestling is full of guys who sell for a bit and then forget about it because it's time to get their shit in. There are some guys who bump really well, but that always struck me as more of an Athleticism measure while great selling is about connecting with the crowd and getting them to buy into the match. (And taking dramatic bumps without conveying injury later comes across as outright cartoonish.) For my money, file this one along with Psychology under "Lost Arts" and cap the skill at B.
