When Brady said that Garry's partner is the monkey, I was half expecting Dace to announce Brady to be Garry's partner, since he was once a monkey. Still, I shouldn't complain, since more Grapple Goblin is always good.

There totally needs to be an extended Charlie/Brady feud, though. That's money right there!

Accompanied by chimes and religious fanfare, The Guru enters accompanied by Grease Hogg, a strange duo even by this company's standards. The Former SWF manager and commissioner enters the ring while his muscle works security on the outside. He smiles and proffers his mic to the booing audience:

The Guru:

"Please take your seats, my children, my blessed congregation, and I shall regale you of the glory you are about to behold. For years I have meditated and prophesied to bring together those that had fallen from that promised land, than wondrous land of giants and heroes, our homeland of the Supreme! What you see before you is merely one of my disciples, who have listened to my words of wisdom and found my Supreme Truth: That to return to our promised land we must smite down the lesser, the pretender, and what better place to start than in this frozen wasteland? Yes...yes, first it will be this place, then ACPW, then 4C, then-"

Voice:

"That's enough outta you!"

Ian (DeColt?) steps out from the back to cheers from the fans, title belt over his shoulder. Hogg makes a move towards Ian but the Guru calms him, smirking at the champion.

Guru:

"Ah and here is the man so confident he can defeat us despite not even being confident in his own Identity."

Ian?:

"Don't you start in with the mind games you Dalai Loony, I"m here for one reason and one reason only, to defend this title."

Guru:

"Interesting...just to defend that championship, hm? How...very very interesting."

Ian blinks for a moment but glares at the Guru again.

Ian?:

"What are you talking about?"

Guru:

"Oh nothing...for now at least. But it certainly points to you well and truly being a DeColt, with that lust for the gold you have. I'll be watching your match tonight with bated breath, little DeColt, let's see if you hold your supposed family's same resilience."

Ian makes to charge the ring but a cadre of security guards that definitely aren't just members of the roster dressed in the finest SWAT costumes found on Congo.com keeps him held back as The Guru and Hogg pass him, one with a smirk, the other with a snarl. Ian eventually is escorted away as the crowd chants approval for the champ.

To call this match chaotic is like calling the Sun warm, between California Dreamin's feud with The Order, Tennessee brawling it out with Dorrance and K-Squared, honestly the only unexpected thing here was how damned well Jeremiah Martin was getting along with Ariel Breaks. Tagging her in, pulling K-Squared into position for an Aerial (haha) maneuver when it seemed like the veteran was moving out of the way. Generally not being a Kuntz (but who'd wanna be like K-Squared anyway?). As the match broke down to its natural state of an all-out brawl everything comes to a head, William brawling with Dorrance and King on the outside leaves a perfect crashpad for a tope by Dreamer, followed by a top-rope crossbody by K-Squared, which Kid tries to add to but is hurled bodily from the ring by Young who finds herself waylaid from behind and sent crashing onto the pile by Breaks.

Breaks however soon found herself facing down Glorious Gloria, who tanked a series of strikes with a smug grin on her face before slapping the smaller woman so hard she spun around to leave herself open to Glorious'...well, Glorious Full Nelson, but just before the move can be locked in, Jeremiah Martin intervened, yanking Breaks free and ducking a clothesline from Gloria to catch her as she turned to face him with his Discus Punch, knocking Gloria right on her rear! At Martin's urging, Breaks ascends to the top rope and hits the Ariel Spiral (Twisting Moonsault) for the pin as Martin runs interference! A stunning upset for the team of underdogs who leave the heels to argue who was responsible for that loss.

In a poor match, Ariel Breaks, Tennessee William, Jeremiah Martin, California Kid and Electric Dreamer defeated Juliette King, Glorious Gloria, Chucky Dorrance, K-Squared and Deborah Young in 12:16 when Ariel Breaks defeated Glorious Gloria by pinfall with an Ariel Spiral. E+

The cameras follow our victorious team backstage, after exchanging good wishes, the tandems part ways and we follow William, Ariel, and Jeremiah.

William points to Ariel who smiles at the superfan. Jeremiah rubs the back of his head and shifts uncomfortably from foot to foot.

Jeremiah:

"Ariel...I uh...I'm sorry for being such a jerk, I just...thought you would get between me and Tennessee and I-OOF!"

Jeremiah's rather...half-assed apology is interrupted when two punks shove past him.

Jeremiah leans against the wall as William and Breaks step up.

Ariel:

"Hey that any way to act for your hosts?"

Mimic:

"Can it, lady, The Nest of Vipers isn't here to make friends, we're here to bust heads."

Dagger

"Yeah, bust heads."

William steps up, Jeremiah beside him, together the three present a united front against the Nest of Vipers who glare at them before moving towards the entrance way.

Mimic:

"You three best watch your backs."

Dagger:

"Yeah, watch your backs."

Mimic:

"Especially you, lady."

Dagger:

"Yeah, lady."

Breaks and William watch them leave as Martin looks at the retreat men, then back at Ariel, then back at the Vipers...

Jeremiah:

"Say Ariel, I was about to get pizza for the three of us but dang if I didn't leave my wallet at home, you mind coming with me to the pizzaria? I'll pay you back after the show."

Ariel:

"Huh? Oh sure!"

William:

"Don't be long now, I'm hankerin' for a hunka hunk of burnin' 'za."

Ariel and Jeremiah walk away, both all smiles...one more sinister than the other.

The Nest of Vipers Vs The Rhode Island Renegades

Mimic and his croney had already outed themselves as antisocial jerks previously but this match made it clear they were a well seasoned antisocial jerks as they ran roughshod over the duo of Raphael and Lion Heart that we are very certain are an actual tag team despite them never having teamed before tonight. Needless to say despite the Schrodinger's experience the Renegades had, they were no match for the vipers who beat them into submission between Mimic's 'stage-dive' style of cruiserweight wrestling and Dagger's deadly kick-boxing prowess. The Viper Venom (High Kick Followed By A 450 Splash) on Lion Heart secured victory for the visiting Vipers (Mimic putting his feet on the ropes just to be an ass).

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Nest Of Vipers defeated The Rhode Island Renegades in 7:37 when Mimic defeated Lion Heart by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. - D-

After both the winners and the losers vacate the ring, we're suddenly joined by a rather...peculiar duo.

Followed by a caped rodent man of some kind, Grapple Goblin gets in the ring and makes a show of shadowboxing for the fans as his companion poses before Dace Lavoie intervenes.

Grapple Goblin shakes his head furiously and starts whispering in Dace's ear.

Dace:

"You're not Grapple Goblin? You're his son? What happened to the real one!? DEAD!? HOW!? Oh, the gout, huh? Yeah, silent killer that...ok, fine, so who's this?"

The newcomer leans in towards the microphone.

???:

"Grapple Gopher."

Dace:

"Alright, welp, good luck!"

Well we never said he was the Clever Wizard of Ottawa.

El Hijo Del Grapple Goblin & Grapple Gopher vs The Gilbert Bros.

The Question? How did Grapple Goblin's son find a big gopher man to help him in a wrestling match to...avenge his father I guess? The Answer: Who cares, they're fighting two hockey lads, keep up. The Gilberts, holding no reverence for the fallen Grapple Goblin Sr., took it to the two goofy grapplers with their typical hockey brutality until Hijo showed himself to be just as crafty as his old man, going to place a hockey puck in the center of the ring as his flunky Gopher took out a referee whistle and tweeted it as the Brothers instinctively grabbed their hockey sticks to fight over the puck before brawling with each other!

Seeing an opportunity, Goblin and Gopher went for stereo roll ups on the Brothers only to find themselves countered and foiled as the brothers locked their hockey sticks together to cinch in the holds! However, Dace somehow had had enough of the ridiculousness and yanked the sticks away rather than counting. Gopher and Goblin got up quick but the momentum from sticks being pulled away took the brothers to the ropes and they springboarded off to hit stereo Slap Shots (Disaster Kicks) to get the victory and qualify for the tournament!

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Gilbert Brothers defeated El Hijo Del Grapple Goblin and Grapple Gopher in 10:26 when Jesse Gilbert defeated Grapple Gopher by pinfall with a Slap Shot. - E+

The Gilberts get little time to celebrate as we're suddenly finding ourselves called to the back where...CALAMITY HAS STRUCK!

Jeremiah Martin is wailing at the top of a set of stairs, head in his hands as Tennessee William cradles the head of a knocked out Ariel Breaks at the bottom.

Also there's pizza like. EVERYWHERE.

Martin:

"Oh Tennessee I can't believe it, it all happened so fast!"

William:

"Ariel! Oh Ariel speak to me, Mama, what happened to ya babydoll!?"

Martin:

"Th-they just came and went, shoved her right down those stairs like a-like a couple of monsters!"

William suddenly looks up, fury in his eyes.

William:

"Who?"

Martin:

"I uh-well-"

William:

"WHO DID THIS?!"

Jeremiah looks at William, then at Ariel, then sighs.

Martin:

"It was those punks from before, The Nest of Vipers."

William:

"Those...bastards...I'll kill 'em! Kill 'em, Jeremiah!"

Martin:

"Hey you said my name right!"

William:

"Where are they!?"

Martin:

"Uh-uhhh they were going to the parking lot! I think they left! I think...I think the only way you're going to be able to get revenge is...beat them in the tournament?"

William:

"...fine...fine."

William deflates, holding the unconscious Ariel tightly.

Martin:

"I'll start seeing if anyone in the locker room wants to partner up wi-"

William:

"No. I want you, Jeremiah, I want you to help me. You've been loyal to me this whole time and I know if you had the chance, you would have stopped what happened here...no, you and me, we're going to take it to the Vipers and anyone who gets in our way."

Martin's face breaks out into a wide grin.

Martin:

"You got it, Tennessee, you go get her to a hospital, I'll let the people in charge know! Thank you! Thank you so much!"

Martin walks away, his grin growing bigger and more sinister as he steps away from his idol...

Creepy.

Meanwhile back outside our commentary team is joined by a special guest!

Ant-Man vs Ted Brady

With Garry on commentary for this match it became clear that Ted's eyes weren't on the prize in this match and Ant-Man had a clear advantage for the most part. Even when Brady's dirty tricks and dirtier moves seemed to sway momentum in his favor, his preoccupation with anyone under the age of 40 having a good time cost him repeatedly from sealing the deal with...wait does he even HAVE a finisher? ...huh. Either way Ted broke off from an atomic drop attempt that-was that his finisher? Oh forget it, long story short he broke off to yell at the stupid monkey puppet, got clocked by Ant-Man, and ate an Antidote (Lionsault) to lose the match.

In a decent match, Ant-Man defeated Ted Brady in 9:55 by pinfall with an Antidote. - D-

Post-match Ted Brady-

CRASH!

Loses his dog-damned mind.

Storming out from the ring, he gets in the face of young Garry The Entertainer and exchanges harsh words with the rookie (and his puppet) until one comment about him 'Going form Matty Phatty to just plain Phatty' from Charles sets the veteran off and pounces on Garry throwing fists, stunning him! That's when things just go too far, wrenching Charles out of Garry's protective grasp, the singlet-clad maniac pulls out a table and...and he...

HE BODY SPLASHES THE MONKEY THROUGH THE TABLE!

(I mean thank god, but still)

As EMTs and Garry himself go to check on poor Charles, this may be the most horrible injury in the history of-oh wait, Ariel got shoved down some stairs earlier...yikesss...nevermind. HEY LOOK A MAIN EVENT!

This match was a brawl from the word go with Ian throwing everything he could at the big bad biker/cultist who responded in kind with his own fists. The Guru kept his interference at a minimum, watching with his ever-present 'I know something you don't' smirk as the early goings were controlled by Hogg. The big man tossed Ian from pillar to post with only the kind of dominant power maneuvers you only learn from years of bar brawling (and being in a company with Dan DaLay), but the champion refused to give up, kicking out of big move after big move before dodging an avalanche splash in a corner and getting a surprise DeColt Stampede (Running Powerslam) for a near fall of his own.

A DeColt .45 (Superkick) had the Biker rocking, another put him down on the mat, Ian went for the End of Days but Hogg immediately grabbed the ropes and forced a break! Ian paced back and forth as Dace Lavoie tried to keep him at bay, unbeknownst to both Guru whispered a command in Hogg's ear and as he stood up, Hogg caught a charging Ian with a blatant kick to the groin that caused an immediate DQ!

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Ian (DeColt?) defeated Grease Hogg in 15:07 when Grease Hogg intentionally got disqualified. Ian (DeColt?) makes defence number 3 of his CWF National Championship title. - D+

Post-match Ian quickly found himself dropped with Hogg's Grease Spot (Running Powerslam...it's a popular finisher, alright?) as the Guru entered the ring despite Dace Lavoie's protests. The referee soon high-tailed it after Grease Hogg made to stalk towards him and Guru grabbed a microphone to address the fallen possible DeColt.

Tennessee William & Jeremiah Martin vs The Order of Diana (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)

Tennessee William came into this tournament with revenge on his mind and a hole in his heart as shown by the all-black ensemble he was rocking coming into this match. This harder edge partnered with the fanatic frenetic freakouts of Jeremiah Martin made them a cut above the two representatives of Streetz' Order of Diana as a hard hitting brawl (marred somewhat with the fans chants of 'Jerry Did It!' directed at Martin) saw the male duo claim victory when Tennessee nailed Glorious Gloria with the Devil's Crossroad (Swinging Neckbreaker) for the pin as Jeremiah bodily kept Juliette from entering the ring.

In a poor match, Jeremiah Martin and Tennessee William defeated Order of Diana I in 5:39 when Tennessee William defeated Glorious Gloria by pinfall with a Devil's Crossroad. - E+

Post-Match William made a show of pulling up a steel chair and taking a seat facing the entranceway, seemingly awaiting the arrival of the supposed culprits of the hospitalization of Ariel Breaks, The Nest of Vipers. However, security was quickly called to bring him to the back and it was only Jeremiah's intervention that kept it from escalating from there ensuring that we would not see a brawl before its time.

The Gilbert Bros. vs K-Squared & Chuck "The Buck" Dorrance

Next up it was the beloved elder statesmen of Independent Canadian Tag Wrestling, The Gilbert Bros. taking on the disrespectful duo of K-Squared and Dorrance in high-octane action that saw both teams take to the skies again and again when the latter duo weren't busy cheating. Isolating Joe Gilbert, the devious pair did everything in their power to ensure that it would be only one brother they would be worried about. Their attempts at isolation however would eventually be foiled when Joe brought in his brother Jesse for a lightning quick hot tag exchange that saw the brothers attempt their signature Slapshot (Stereo Disaster Kicks) on K-Squared and Dorrance, but the heel pair managed to slip out of the ring only to then get smashed by stereo suicide dives by the Brothers.

Momentum seemed to be entirely with the Gilberts despite several cheating rallies by their opponents, however as Joe Gilbert set up for a singles Slapshot on K-Squared, Dorrance yanked his leg out from under him, crotching the hockey fan on the middle ropes before being pulled away to brawl with Jesse. This however, gave K-Squared the opening he needed to nail the Special K on Joe for the win and a ticket to the finals!

In a decent match, Chucky Dorrance and K-Squared defeated The Gilbert Brothers in 11:36 when K-Squared defeated Jesse Gilbert by pinfall with a Special K. - D

The final Semitarfinal contest saw the luchador contingent of California Dreamin face off with the antisocial jerks in Mimic and his flunky Dagger who-if they are indeed innocent of Ariel Breaks' injury- did not make a very good case for themselves as they made repeated reference to the incident to the crowd to illicit no shortage of boos. This worked to their advantage however as Tennessee Williams stormed out from the back with the steel chair in hand to clobber Mimic with it! The referee had no choice but to call for the DQ and award the match to The Vipers as ringside descended into chaos!

In an extremely short match, The Nest Of Vipers defeated California Dreamin' in 1:59 by DQ when Tennessee William ran in and attacked Mimic. - D

Things are going crazy at ringside as Dagger flies out of the ring to attack William from behind to go for a 2-on-1 beatdown on William. It's all Dace Lavoie can do to keep California Dreamin' from getting involved as Jeremiah Martin comes out to help his idol! Security floods ringside to separate the warring teams while a canny cameraman catches K-Squared and Chuck Dorrance watching in amusement from among the fans, knowing that this chaos is to their advantage.

We cut from this to a scene in a hospital room where a figure is wrapped in bandages...

Turner:

"oh my god is this what's become of ariel brea-"

The camera swings around abruptly to show who is sitting by the hospital bed.

"That's ah...that's what I'm here to talk about, fellas. I'm here today to let everyone know that Charles survived the heinous assault thrown his way by that no-good bully Ted Brady. However the procedure the medical seamstresses here did to save his life required a major felt bypass and a massive fabric reduction in order to keep him from fading away completely. He will be back but...it may take some time for the CFW fans to acclimate to his new look. But we will be back next month and we are NOT taking this treatment by Brady lying down, not by a long shot! Matty Phatty thinks he knows all about Monkey Business? We'll see about that..."

The pre-tape cuts off and things have finally cleared out at ringside so it's time for our next match.

Kid Fantastic vs Ted Brady

The young dynamo Kid Fantastic brought all he had into this match but the cantankerous bully in Ted Bray was just a step ahead, grounding the youngster with every old timey wear down hold he could muster. It seemed that Fantastic was rallying later in the match with a flurry of springboards and high-flying moves but Brady caught him out of nowhere with a roll-up and a pair of boots on the ropes were all he needed to secure victory.

In a poor match, Ted Brady defeated Kid Fantastic in 8:24 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. - E+

Ted Brady, a self-satisfied smirk on his face, looks like he's about to address the promo by Garry The Entertainer earlier in the match but is cut off by the sudden appearance of our champion:

The CFW CWF National Champoin stormed to the ring as Ted called for him to back off but Ian was hearing none of it, grasping the mic and yanking it away from Brady.

Ian:

"No, no you don't talk, I'm talking you old hateful lard bucket!"

The crowd cheers the cutting insults for the CFW owner from the champion.

Ian:

"I want Grease Hogg and I want him tonight, understand me? Him and the scumbag 'Guru' have come in here and denigrated everything that makes Canadian wrestling great, they want to pave over this wonderful crazy landscape with the same wannabe edgelord crap they've been shoving down people's throats in the states for decades! You said you wanna bring back the old school, well prove it, Brady, go ahead and prove it and give me the match I'm after!"

The crowd behind him after that scathing rebuke of the so-called Path of Supremacy, Ian shoves the mic back into Ted's hands and the rattled owner of CFW clears his throat and replies.

Ted:

"They uh...they ain't here."

ian immediately starts towards Brady, who panics and stumbles back, hands up.

Ted:

"They're in Cali, they're in Cali working Coastal I swear I didn't tell them to not be here I swear I promise I swear I promise! But uh...while ya out here...we DO have an opponent for ya and if you can SURVIVE him then maybe...MAYBE you can try to not die against Grease Hogg again...introducing...YOUR OPPONENT...THE MASKED MAAAAUUUULLLEEERRRR!"

Tennessee William & Jeremiah Martin vs K-Squared & ChucK "The Buck" Dorrance vs The Nest of Vipers

The first portion of this match saw an all-out brawl between The Vipers and the duo of William and Martin as K-Squared and Dorrance held back, content to pick the bones of this heated feud on their way to tag team gold but when Dorrance got a bit too overzealous in attempting to steal a pin off of Dagger on Martin, the plan collapsed completely and it became a three-way in earnest. K-Squared repeatedly showed his ring savvy in playing the spoiler between Tennessee and Mimic, intentionally breaking up pins and fleeing the scene in order to prolong the issue between the two teams but this came back to haunt him as ascended the turnbuckle for a Special K on William he found himself falling victim to a step-up enzugiri by Dagger that sent him tumbling off the top rope to fall victim to a 450 by Mimic for the elimination.

K-Squared and Chuck "The Buck" Dorrance Elminated!

With two teams remaining in the match the whole thing descended into an all-out fight with a palpable hatred between the two as they paired off into 'Dance Partners' to begin with, William duking it out with Mimic while their respective sidekicks went to it on the outside. Mimic looked to his high-flying repertoire to level the playing field against William's fist but the man in black was fighting like he was possessed and looked to have the match won with the Devil's Crossroad but it was blocked with the help of a sneaky low blow by Dagger out of sight of Dace Lavoie. Only with the speedy intervention of Jeremiah Martin breaking up the pin were the duo of Idol and fan able stay in the game.

Dagger and Martin engaged in a hefty strike battle in the center of the ring, fists exchanged again and again until Mimic shoved his partner out of the way and entered into the fray, taking an early advantage and knocking Martin into the ropes-only for the superfan to come back with his Discus Pun-NO! Dagger shoved Mimic and took the brunt of the punch, falling into Dace Lavoie and opening up Martin to a pair of brass knuckles from Mimic! Martin collapsed to the mat like a sack of bricks and Mimic looked to have everything under control...

Until Tennessee William spun him around and hit the Devil's Crossroad on Mimic! Martin was down! Dagger was down! But Dace Lavoie was wide awake and there to count the pin to crown William and Martin our inaugural tag team champions!

In a decent match, Tennessee William and Jeremiah Martin defeated The Nest Of Vipers and K-Squared and Chucky Dorrance in 19:39; the order of elimination was K-Squared and Chucky Dorrance first, and then The Nest Of Vipers. Tennessee William and Jeremiah Martin win the CWF National Tag Team Championship titles - D-

As Dace Lavoie hands both titles to Tennessee, the rock'n roller crawls over to Jeremiah Martin, the two of them holding the tag belts high in an embrace that at least one of them has been waiting his entire fandom for.
