What's your (least) favorite owner goal?

Recommended Posts

Owner goals are a fantastic feature of the game in my mind. What is your (least) favorite one?

Least:

- Can't hire anyone who already works for a company above cult size. (I don't know if this exists for other sizes, my owner put it on me when I reached National level.)

Favorite:

- Wrestler X must have reached at least Y overall popularity in Z when the time expires. (Puts me out of my comfort zone, so I have to push a perennial LMC or MC to UM, switches up the booking nicely.)

I started a real world game as WWE just after 205 live started. Good old Vinny Mac gave me the goal of not hiring any cruiserweights! Which seemed quite realistic as seemed like typical Vince logic.

“I’m gunna start a cruiserweight division but if you sign any of those god dam vanilla midgets then YOU’RE FIRED!!”

So despite the fact Phoenix III was pulling great ratings fora midcarder, I got all prepared for him to leave. With a couple of days to go, I hired someone to take his spot. Still... I was pretty disappointed. So what does Joaquin Soler do to me? The day Phoenix III's contract was to expire, he hired him back, owner's prerogative. I mean, I was happy but... why the heck give me that owner goal then?

My least favorite goals are not hiring workers because of a stat below X (usually 53) or because of age. Stats will generally increase, especially on things like safety and psychology. If I have a dev league, it makes even less sense.

Age is even more frustrating, because stealing an aging superstar from another company can be a good way to at least nick them in National battles. And they can pass their skills on to those under-53 skill wrestlers on the way.

Also not a fan of “have X in the bank”. It’s not real $, so liquid capital doesn’t actually benefit me in any way. So unless I’m saving to build or expand a network, there’s no reason for me to hold onto cash.
