"Red Hot" Laura Flame kicks off the show with a promo on the Piledriver Womens champion and her main event opponent tonight, "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel. Flame says last time they met at Headstrong, Quinzel only got the win because of her manager's assist; this time it will be a very different story and she will win the title back.</p><p>

Olivia "Rough" Diamond vs "AAA's own" Selina Svelte (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The match begins with the more experienced Svelte in control, but it quickly becomes obvious her recent arm injury is taking a heavy toll on most of her submission attempts. This situation eventually creates an opening for Diamond to escape her defensive spot and come back with a string of moves. In a display of true grit, Svelte bites the bullet and keeps on fighting, but an attempt at slapping on the Prawn Armlock is left incomplete when the injury deprives her of all the steam to allow a DDT reversal and cover from Diamond.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Olivia "Rough" Diamond, by pinfall</strong></p><p>

<img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Talia Quinzel comes down to the ring after the match, entering the ring to help Svelte back up. However, she grabs her by the injured arm and yanks her up, causing a scream of pain and confusion. Unphased, Quinzel launches an attack on Svelte, putting the boot to her before she gets on the mic to run her down by calling her a "cripple" that drags everyone in Sawyer Sports Services down, officially kicking her out of the group.</p><p>

Riley McManus vs "Killer" Carl Bernard</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Being massive but inexperienced, the only thing Bernard has going on for him in this match is his size advantage. Nothing the crafty, skilled McManus can't handle though, especially after surviving a long feud with the much larger Annihilus. The characteristic ease of McManus only serves to further frustrate Bernard who does get sloppy, before going all out berzerk to earn himself a DQ loss.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Riley McManus, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Bernard is left furious in the ring as McManus retreats and security gathers around in case they need to intervene. Instead, it is Sheik Ali Al-Avatar who is able to calm down the Killer when he shows up to say he sees potential in him, thus he is willing to offer his managerial services. With a track record of managing Annihilus, Sheik looks like the man who could actually make this work, so with a crooked smile on his face, Bernard nods in agreement.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera comes out to cut another cocky promo about how awesome he is and his 'open challenge'. Fans pop when he is finally interrupted by "Glorious" Logan Diaz, who says he accepts the challenge and dares Ferrera to put his money where his mouth is.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

The Xavi Ferrera Open Challenge</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Smaller and faster, Ferrera looks to exhaust Diaz with his ducking and weaving as he dodges around until Logan finally catches him for a hard takedown with a huge spinebuster. Keeping the Athlete grounded, Diaz goes into ground and pound mode, raining down the shots before standing back up to taunt his opponent. Once back up, Ferrera is whipped to the ropes but bounces back into a handspring cutter to turn things around! A slingshot dropkick catches Diaz just as he's getting back up, but the following Ferrerarana is easily outpowered into a powerbomb for a two count. Diaz goes for a big lariat clothesline next, but Ferrera ducks underneath and poor Alvin Lavin catches it instead. With the ref out, lights go dark for a moment. Once they're back on, instead of Ferrera...</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="pmHS2Ce.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pmHS2Ce.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p>

...it's Scythe standing in the middle of the ring! The big (and fresh) Piledriver champion delivers a big chokeslam to Diaz, then yells something about their rivalry not being over yet. Lights go back out for a moment again, then return to reveal Ferrera in the ring, with Scyte at ringside. The Athlete climbs the top turnbuckle and delivers his High Impact Frogsplash on the fallen Diaz, covering him just as the ref comes to for the count.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall ollowing interference from Scythe</strong></p><p>

<img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The match now over, Scythe climbs back into the ring to dish out a little more damage to the fallen Diaz. Ferrera isn't shy about joining in and the two men put the boots to Logan Diaz before seperately retreating backstage.</p><p>

"Red Hot" Laura Flame vs "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel © (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Hot off her attack on Selina Svelte, the champion looks to do some damage to Flame as well but the red hot redhead isn't such an easy target herself. Flame uses her kicks to keep Quinzel at a distance and avoid her wide arsenal of backbreakers, then when the champion decides to fire back and take advantage of her height/reach advantage, Flame's done her homework and blocks the shots to gain limb control and take Quinzel to the mat. The two trade blows in a quite MMA-esque moment, before Quinzel is able to get her opponent in a crossface. Lucky for Flame, she's close enough to the ropes to put a leg on and force the break, even if Sawyer shoves it off; ref saw it and calls for the break, warning Sawyer that he's going to ban him from ringside. Flame gets in his face after that, rightfully frustrated, only for Sawyer to slap her around the face. Fed up, referee Alvin Lavin tells Sawyer to go backstage, only to get slapped himself. Victory goes to Flame as a result, but since it was via DQ, the gold stays with Quinzel and a very happy Sawyer who points to his temple to signal how he outsmarted the challenger to keep the belt on his client.</p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">War for Territory #2</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Saturday, Week 2 February, 2018</strong></p><p><strong>

Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="ejbjbKm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ejbjbKm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The show begins with "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester cutting a promo on the good ol' U-S of A, Florida, Texas and Wisconsin, firing up the fans as he hypes up his match against one of MAW Boot Camp's latest graduates, Floyd Price.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester vs MAW's "The Wisconsin Warrior" Floyd Price</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Floyd Price gets a lukewarm reaction from the sold-out crowd and him not having a defining gimmick isn't doing him any favors, although he does look like a pretty tough guy who can throw down. Winchester's barroom brawl style makes for a hard hitting match in which Price has a chance to show what he can do, though it only takes five or so minutes until the veteran from Texas catches him with a Neckbreaker for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Marie Punnen vs CILL's Queen Amazon</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite a major size disadvantage, Punnen fearlessly jumps into the fire to pummel her opponent with strikes. After the opening salvo though, it looks like Queen Amazon barely feels them; after an awkward 'oh sh*t' momentary pause, the CILL luchadora unleashes her own string of hard strikes, big slams and spine-crushing suplexes to wipe the mat with Punnen's body before putting her out with a scary looking Amazonian Powerbomb.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Queen Amazon, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"The Sandman" Jules Knight vs NYCW's Hawkeye Calhoun</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The cartoonish baseball-loving Calhoun is met with gruffness from Knight, who seems to be unhappy with having to face an opponent he probably deems inferior. Busting a few flashy moves, Calhoun wins the audience over and shows he is one to be taken seriously, though that probably backfires as it sends Knight into ultra competitive mode that sees him eventually take out the NYCW wrestler with his Time For Bed (Cobra Clutch Legsweep) finisher.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Sandman" Jules Knight, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Womens Triple Threat match</strong></p><p><strong>

Nicole Pyle vs Olivia "Rough" Diamond vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite her manager's instructions to sit this one out and finish off the remains, McFly stays in the match after the opening bell and shows the two rookies how it's done by using her chain wrestling skills to pull off complicated combinations of moves. Frustrated with her lack of progress, Nicole Pyle flies into a rage and unloads on McFly before sending her reeling with a dropkick. An attempt at her PyleDriver finisher comes up empty when McFly escapes before the move can be pulled off and Diamond comes in charging from behind to knock Pyle onto McFly, catching a backstepping Pyle next for the roll up.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Olivia "Rough" Diamond, by pinfall with a fast roll up</strong></p><p><strong>

Next up, a pre-recorded message from Austin "Easy Money" Smooth is shown on the big screen, with the man himself talking about how excited he is to be representing Piledriver Wrestling in Japan during his upcoming tour with PGHW.</p><p>

Austin "Easy Money" Smooth & Irwin Gutmann vs "The Monster" Annihilus & "Killer" Carl Bernard (with Shek Ali Al-Avatar)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Smooth and Gutmann make separate entrances, whereas the heels come out together, led to the ring by the Sheik. Smooth locks up with Bernard to kick things off and his recent added musculature pays dividends as he's able to prevent Bernard from powering out of his submission holds. What saves the wild rookie from a swift defeat is his relentless aggression and once close enough to make the tag, brings Annihilus into the fight. Smooth confidently fights on, but exhaustion starts taking its toll and he finds himself in the heel corner not long after. Annihilus and Bernard take turns to tear Smooth down, with Sheik sneaking in a blow whenever he can get away with it, until a desperate DDT levels Bernard to even the playing field. Bernard stumbles back to his feet while Smooth finally gives the hot tag to Gutmann, who comes in all fired up until his leg is sweeped by the Sheik from the outside, setting up the Kill Switch for Bernard.</p><p>

Once again, "the Athlete" Xavi Ferrera comes out to cut a self absorbed promo about himself and his open challenge, saying Piledriver Wrestling's run out of people to beat so now they're bringing in challengers from other promotions.</p><p>

The Xavi Ferrera Open Challenge</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs MAW's Cameron "J-Man" Jones</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Whether because his name has spread beyond the Mid Atlantic or just because fans are eager to see someone kick Ferrera's ass, Jones gets a pretty loud reaction upon entering and it's off to the races with the main event. Used to having the speed advantage, Ferrera discovers Jones can more than keep up with him, leading the two into an arms race that takes up the pace of the match into frantic levels. Jones is in control early on thanks to a combination of decent brawling skills and the trademark MAW technical foundation, but Ferrera isn't shy about cheating to turn things round; once he's in control, things get flashier and the flurry of aerial attacks looks like something Jones isn't used to, turning the tide in favor of The Athlete until the final big spot where he hits the High Impact Frog Splash for the hard earned pin.</p><p>

Now thanks to the COTT, McManus had put the youngster over in the Rip Chord Invitational, only for Jones to return the favor but putting Ferrera over tonight. It was an important moment for those two and exactly how the whole territory system operated back in a day. Apparently Pyle is still mad at her teammate for rolling her up instead of McFly at the War for Territory #2 triple threat match and things don't get better with the more experienced Diamond wanting to work the brung of the match despite botching several moves. By the time Pyle almost forcibly tags herself in, she is so frustrated she is off key against the heels, who use the opening to cut the ring in half and wear her down on her corner. Despite eventually breaking away, Pyle refuses to tag in Diamond and while the two women argue amongst them, Winters comes from behind to roll up Pyle while Sawyer circles the ring to hold Diamond's leg and prevent a break up of the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly & "Ice Cold" Claire Winters, by pinfall with a surprise cradle</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="uN4bdE9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uN4bdE9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera comes out next to cut his usual cocky heel promo before another match of his open challenge. Thing is, Ferrera is no pushover and the two men lock up in in a pretty even-fought battle. Despite a bit of ring rust, Gutmann is able to contain Ferrera and limit his high flying, in return bringing up the Athlete's often underplayed brawling and technical skills. This versatility allows Ferrera to come back and regain control of the match, scoring the pin after ten or so minutes after the opening bell with some extra leverage from the ropes; not that he needs it, he's just being a d*ck about it.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall with some leverage from the ropes</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ejbjbKm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ejbjbKm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SJYcxhu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SJYcxhu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WuYw4C6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuYw4C6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="QK3E9f9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QK3E9f9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="lh2JDXB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lh2JDXB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester & Riley McManus vs "The Monster" Annihilus & "Killer" Carl Bernard (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> McManus starts the match by taking Bernard's best shots, only to lure him into a false sense of dominance so he can bait him in and slap his submission holds to put the breaks. Sheik Ali Al-Avatar is there to put a leg on the ropes though and force a break, then get in Riley's face so Bernard can make the tag to Annihilus. Shades of last year's McManus-Annihilus-Sheik feud from last year as the two wrestlers meet in the center of the ring, before Annihilus takes control thanks to his power and Riley's exhaustion so far. By the time the Choke Grip is applied, Winchester charges in for the save, only infuriating Annihilus who begins to brawl with the Texan Patriot. Despite not being the legal man, Winchester holds his ground against the massive super heavyweight in the ensuing fist fight, one that referee Alvin Lavin can't quite break up to enforce the rules. Seeing this, the Sheik urges Bernard to join in, which in turn brings McManus into the ring for a free-for-all. With no apparent winner and the match having descended into chaos, Lavin decides to call for the bell in hopes of finally ending this mess, one that takes the full ring security crew and head trainer Lee Wright himself to pull apart.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: No contest</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="tfOP87H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tfOP87H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Once order is restored and the ring is cleared, Lee Wright takes center stage to announce that in celebration of Piledriver Wrestling's growth and COTT membership, both titles will be replaced by newly minted belts, which he then reveals, to be contested for in the last two matches of tonight's show. The action is surprisingly fast paced for a pro wrestling match, with flurries of strikes landing at a frequency that wouldn't be out of place in an MMA match. Quinzel has the early advantage thanks to her reach advantage, but Flame manages to grab a leg and hit a takedown for some ground and pound that earns her a two count. Switching gear to shoot for a scorpion deathlock, Flame falls victim to a reversal kick that sends her to the ropes and back first onto Quinzel's knee after she bounces back. Quinzel keeps the pressure with a bow and arrow lock, then a surfboard in a surprising display of her technical skills. Confident about her victory, Quinzel pulls her opponent up looking like she's going for a swinging neckbreaker, but in a sudden rush of adrenaline, the challenger backflips out of nowhere to hit Quinzel in the temple with an impressive Flame Fire Kick for the three count!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Red Hot" Laura Flame, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> "Red Hot" Laura Flame wins the Piledriver Womens title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ccyN6lK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ccyN6lK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="pmHS2Ce.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pmHS2Ce.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MzjfHKV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MzjfHKV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Piledriver title match</strong></p><p><strong> Scythe © vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Diaz starts the match in a pretty defensive manner, stalling as much as he can and using hit-and-run tactics to avoid getting too close to his larger opponent long enough to be hit with anything. Scythe himself doesn't seem to be in any rush, taking his time to cooly approach the situation and solve the riddle posed by Diaz. The match is thus off to a slow start, but steadily climaxing towards a promised crescendo as the two men eventually tangle up to get things underway, hitting bigger and bigger moves as they try to hold each other down for the count. <p>The atmosphere was heavy as me I entered the room. All eyes were on me, some inquisitively, some outright shooting daggers. I could tell Lee had dropped the bomb and not even the two good looking ladies behind me could draw some attention away.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="LkCNuYW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LkCNuYW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eYJzKY7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eYJzKY7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

"Now, as I've explained" Lee began, awkwadly trying to break the ice "we are the only promotion in the alliance to feature women's wrestling..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Are you now?" a heavily accented voice cut him off before I could. Lee was terrible at this stuff.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="6PMa28U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6PMa28U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Joaquin Soler, owner of Mexico's oldest active promotion OLLIE had a smug grin on his face. He was a traditionalist, always had been, so introducing a luchadora division to his company must have been a hard pill to swallow and he wasn't prepared to let Lee underplay it like that.</p><p> </p><p>

"Apologies, I meant to say we are the only promotion in the alliance to both <em>train and promote</em> female wrestlers..." Lee immediately corrected himself "so of course we're having some trouble playing with others there. Which is why we've contacted both AAA and QAW to gauge if they'de be interested to join the COTT..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Well I, for one, used to have a women's division and I can vouch for Farrah, even if the whole thing didn't work for us in the end..."</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="s4JsDVp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/s4JsDVp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Cliff Anderson, owner and lead announcer of California's indy sensation CZCW, was one of the more mellow men in the room. How could he not be, his promotion was doing great and doing it on top of several others being on each other's throats in that territory.</p><p> </p><p>

"Appreciate it" Hesketh said with a smile I couldn't discern as genuine or faked. "And since mr. Soler brought it up, I think our promotions will be able to reap the most benefit of the synergies this alliance creates. QAW and OLLIE especially could work towards making our workers into stars on both sides of the border."</p><p> </p><p>

Damn she was good. She was smart, she was charismatic and she knew how to pitch an idea. No wonder she had set up a company that challenged AAA's monopoly on women's wrestling in the US without ever clashing with them. Instead, they were both present at this meeting. They were both willing to join the COTT and become allies.</p><p> </p><p>

"Womens wrestling's on the upswing" Quine spoke up, her voice making it apparent she was done with niceties and wanted to get down to business. "Hot enough to make USPW and NotBPW start up a Womens division. Their raids are killing our rosters and let's not even start talking about how they present their female wrestlers. We want to join forces to stay alive and make sure women are presented right, so are we in or did we travel all the way here for nothing?" she said, her eyes scanning the room as if she was looking to pick up a fight instead of receving a warm welcome.</p><p> </p><p>

"I mean..." an oddly pitched voice kicked in with some reluctance.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="TWZeg5H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TWZeg5H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Troy Winner. Founder of Canadian Charisma Championship Combat, the man who took on the Stones and DeColts with nothing but sheer stubborness and survived. In a way, he was an inspiration to how we could do something similar with Piledriver Wrestling. Only we weren't run by an annoying midget.</p><p> </p><p>

"Oh shut the hell up Winner, when you first came to us you tried to sell us on expanding beyond the US. Now Dee's the COTT champion and you're gonna try to talk us out of having these ladies on board?"</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Mafo9fj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Mafo9fj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

For a tough veteran who run an unapologetically old school promotion out of New York, Larry Vessey was surprisingly open minded here. I had already located who would be our main ally in this. Before an argument could break out, everyone's eyes turned to the only man who hadn't spoken up yet. The man who started the COTT in the first place. Sam Keith.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="4E1fiQ6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4E1fiQ6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

"Larry's right" Keith finally spoke. "When the Confederation began, it was the two of us running oldschool promotions and teaming with a bunch of masked high fliers from the West Coast felt odd, but we did it. Then we went beyond the borders, took members from Canada and Mexico. It's time to take the next step and embrace women's wrestling for good." He stood up and walked to face both Quine and Hesketh. "Welcome to the COTT" he said with a tired smile, followed by a handshake with each as the other owners began to clap.</p><p> </p><p>

Individual introductions and handshakes followed, so I took the chance to slide next to Lee so I could whisper in his ear. I still had no idea why he brought me here and frankly, I wasn't exactly the kind of man to bring with in these meetings.</p><p> </p><p>

"We got a meeting with Sam once this is over" he finally told me, even if this immediately had my head flooded with a new bunch of questions. "Everyone gave their blessing to an idea I had, so we gotta go through the details afterwards. I wanted you to be around for this."</p>

<p>First - Love the new belts. ReapeR did an excellent job on them.</p><p> </p><p>

Second - love AAA and QAW joining the COTT. In several of my games, I invite them into the COTT (especially since CWWF is supposed to join the COTT upon their founding). I also tend to add CILL to the alliance too, so that way there are multiple companies that feature women's wrestling. I can't wait to see the COTT World Women's Champion come get some Free Shrimp.</p>

Alternatively, given his great Comedy skills, he could do well in a Comedy-heavy promotion.</p>

Sam Keith comes out to open the show in a half full Delaware Auditorium full of die hard MAW fans and a few ones with hope, as apparently the other half couldn't bear to attend a show that's not 100% MAW. Much to the delight of those in attendance though, Keith cuts a fiery promo about MAW's achievements, its legacy and how he was put in charge of Piledriver Wrestling as part of the merger deal. That's right, Keith's masterplan was to sell off MAW's debt while actually taking over Piledriver Wrestling from the inside! In case fans didn't notice, "Killer" Carl Bernard beating Hawkeye Calhoun was moved to the preshow and he's just getting started flexing his authority muscle. Three big title matches to set up a non-title main event? Not happening under his watch. Time to shake things up!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="At6zmyr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/At6zmyr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Riley McManus vs The Architect</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite McManus being a Piledriver guy these days, MAW fans haven't forgotten where he started at and even the newer ones saw him wrestle at the Rip Chord Invitational just last month, losing to Cameron Jones. That said, McManus gets a decent reaction from the crowd as he and the Architect put on a solid, oldschool match for the fans. McManus is so clean cut it hurts, whereas the Architect employs every dirty trick in the book to win, including the big finish of him cheating to gain control of the match so he can end up putting McManus in the Blueprint (Arm Triangle) for the tap out. Although not technically a cheap win per se, it is still somewhat tainted by the winner's tactics and fans boo the cheating heel, despite the fact that he just beat the man representing Piledriver Wrestling.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: The Architect, by submission</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera comes out next for a promo that introduces him to the Mid Atlantic fans, alongside the concept of his open challenge, how great its gone for him so far and now, how he will destroy their hero and take the title from him.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Mid Atlantic American title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"Ivy League" Hal Harvard vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

One of the most popular babyfaces in MAW, Hal Harvard is also one of their longest reigning champions, having captured the belt from Deuce Deadline in October of 2016, which puts his reign at an impressive two years and five months so far, with 10 defenses on his record. Exactly the kind of guy Ferrera would be super motivated to defeat and indeed, he gives it his all in the ring. The match is hotly contested, with momentum swinging back and forth while fans get caught up in the moment, until Ferrera lays out Harvard with a Ferrerarana. Instead of going for the pin, the Athlete pompously climbs the top turnbuckle and soars through the air for the High Impact Frog Splash. Despite the time consuming setup, Harvard never dodges or gets his knees up, just gets hit with both of Ferrera's finishers as the ref counts the one two three, putting an end to his title reign as Ferrera becomes the new Mid Atlantic American champion.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

George Wolfe vs NYCW's Rayne Man</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite Wolfe being the brutish heel in this match, fans are consistently behind him as he is not only the son of Ed Monton but also one of MAW's biggest names for quite some time, whereas Rayne Man is seen as the "invader" from New York despite technically being the babyface of the match. Regardless of fan reaction though, the match itself is pretty solid and oldschool enough to have been booked by MAW instead of the more "sports entertainment" style of Piledriver, with Wolfe picking up the win after a Running Powerslam on Rayne Man.</p><p>

Μid Atlantic Championship title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"Class Act" Syd Collier vs Cameron "J-Man" Jones</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Formerly known as the Dynamite Express, Collier and Jones have been feuding since the former backstabbed his partner to turn into one of MAW's biggest heels and that feud is alive and well in this new era, with the two of them getting not only the co-main event spot but also a chance to capture the vacated Mid Atlantic Championship title. Jones and Collier know each other since their days training at the Boot Camp, from which they graduated in 2010; this means their rivalry has a lot of backstory but also that they share the trademark oldschool style that MAW has become synonymous with, although Collier leans a bit more towards the technical aspect as opposed to the more brawl-oriented Jones. True to his heelish nature, Collier eventually ends up grabbing the ropes while keeping Jones in the Texas Cloverleaf; too busy being in Jones' face to check for a submission, the ref never notices and after several dramatic minutes of struggling, Jones finally taps out.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Class Act" Syd Collier, by submission after blatantly cheating</strong></p><p><strong>

Representing QAW, Foxxy LaRue makes her entrance first, followed by "the Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel, without "Playboy" Jake Sawyer accompanying her. Taking a moment to get on the mic before the match, Quinzel addresses her recent loss of the Piledriver Womens title to "Red Hot" Laura Flame, but says it was a blessing in disguise, as it freed her up to chase bigger things such as the brand new COTT Womens title, for which she promises to defeat LaRue.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

COTT Womens title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel vs QAW's Foxxy LaRue</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

For all the 'MAW tribute' flair of the show so far, having two women wrestle in the main event may be a bit off putting for some fans, but given how MAW and Sam Keith were the founders and driving force behind the Confederation of the Territories, there is a sense of celebration in welcoming two new all-female promotions into the COTT fold and witnessing the crowning of the first ever COTT Womens champion. On top of that, Quinzel and LaRue can really go in the ring, as if they've set out to prove all the naysayers wrong. The match itself is worked at a blistering pace full of big spots and given how both ladies favor brawling over the usual high flying most female wrestlers go for, the style is surprisingly well accepted by the audience all the way to the big finish of Quinzel catching a Flash Head Kick that knocks her down for the count.</p><p>

From the show arrangements to going through each match with the workers; from Carl and Hawkeye's dark match all the way to the big main event, hyping up folks before they went out and welcoming them back with a good word as they returned backstage. Seeing it happen live was inspiring. That wasn't just leadership, that was a man pouring his heart and soul into this new venture. He was no longer running MAW. He didn't have to bother, yet he did anyway. Maybe the buyout had done him more good than harm, taking the weight of day-to-day running of a company off his shoulders so he could focus on the part he really loved. The whole takeover/invasion angle was his idea; me and Lee just told him we didn't want to wipe out all things MAW and pretend they never existed, he took the ball and ran wild with it. All of a sudden, we had a huge roster to work with, plenty of new faces and an even greater talent pool we could tap in via the COTT.</p><p> </p><p> "We better work this territory, hard" Lee whispered in my ear as Alvin was handing the COTT Womens title to Foxxy LaRue. "I just got a call from the banks, they heard of the merger and sent me an ultimatum regarding our debt."</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Piledriver Wrestling Presents</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Wrestle Bowl 2018</span></strong></p><p><strong> Saturday, Week 4 March, 2018</strong></p><p><strong> Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Main Event</strong></p><p><strong> COTT Womens title match</strong></p><p> "Foxxy Lady" Foxxy LaRue © vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Co-Main Event</strong></p><p><strong> Mid Atlantic Championship title match</strong></p><p> "Class Act" Syd Collier © vs Austin "Easy Money" Smooth</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p> "The Dirty Dog" Deuce Deadline & Trix Triumph © vs "The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special Showcase Tag Team match</strong></p><p> Scythe & George Wolfe vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz & Nate DeMarcus</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Women's Showcase match</strong></p><p> Nicole Pyle vs OLLIE's Queen Amazon</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special Singles Showcase match</strong></p><p> Josh Jacobs vs Riley McManus</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Womens Tag Team match</strong></p><p> "Red Hot" Laura Flame & Marie Punnen vs "Ice Cold" Claire Winters & "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

<p>Piledriver Wrestling Presents</p><p>

Wrestle Bowl 2018</p><p>

Saturday, Week 4 March, 2018</p><p>

Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL</p><p> </p><p>

Main Event</p><p>

COTT Womens title match</p><p>

<strong>"Foxxy Lady" Foxxy LaRue © </strong>vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly</p><p>

There's absolutely no reason for Tamara McFly, in this stage of her career to beat Foxxy. McFly should give her a good match, give her a run for her money and then put the champ over.</p><p> </p><p>

Co-Main Event</p><p>

Mid Atlantic Championship title match</p><p>

<strong>"Class Act" Syd Collier © </strong>vs Austin "Easy Money" Smooth</p><p>

I love me some Collier and I've never gotten into Austin Smooth. I've used him, he's a good hand, but I love me some Collier.</p><p> </p><p>

Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles match</p><p>

"The Dirty Dog" Deuce Deadline & Trix Triumph © vs "<strong>The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

Reminds me of my Hazard Gang days in RMW. Man how I miss my cowboys! Give them the win! Give them all the wins! I love me some Buck Winchester and his Texan Patriot gimmick has gotten over with me, I think Blaze is widely under-utilized (and if you add Wes Revell, I'm calling Gimmick infringement)</p><p> </p><p>

Special Showcase Tag Team match</p><p>

Scythe & George Wolfe vs "<strong>Glorious" Logan Diaz & Nate DeMarcus</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

Wolfe takes the fall.</p><p> </p><p>

Women's Showcase match</p><p>

<strong>Nicole Pyle </strong>vs OLLIE's Queen Amazon</p><p>

Amazon has no overnness in America. She can work and do the job to build up a graduate with out it angering her.</p><p> </p><p>

Special Singles Showcase match</p><p>

Josh Jacobs vs <strong>Riley McManus</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Opening Womens Tag Team match</p><p>

"Red Hot" Laura Flame & Marie Punnen vs <strong>"Ice Cold" Claire Winters & "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel</strong></p>

Main Event</p><p>

COTT Womens title match</p><p>

<strong>"Foxxy Lady" Foxxy LaRue ©</strong> vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly</p><p>

New champ needs a good first defense</p><p> </p><p>

Co-Main Event</p><p>

Mid Atlantic Championship title match</p><p>

<strong>"Class Act" Syd Collier</strong> © vs Austin "Easy Money" Smooth</p><p>

Syd needs the belt, plus it helps add to the MAW invasion angle with a win.</p><p> </p><p>

Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles match</p><p>

"The Dirty Dog" Deuce Deadline & Trix Triumph © vs <strong>"The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze & "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester</strong></p><p>

I like the Cowboy teams lol. I don't know much about Deuce or Trix either.</p><p> </p><p>

Special Showcase Tag Team match</p><p>

Scythe & George Wolfe vs <strong>"Glorious" Logan Diaz & Nate DeMarcus</strong></p><p>

I think Logan needs the win more, and I agree with Historian that George will take the fall to protect Scythe</p><p> </p><p>

Women's Showcase match</p><p>

Nicole Pyle vs <strong>OLLIE's Queen Amazon</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

Even though Queen Amazon probably doesn't have much pop, I really liked her in my rtg save when I went to Ollie</p><p> </p><p>

Special Singles Showcase match</p><p>

Josh Jacobs vs <strong>Riley McManus</strong></p><p>

Riley for the W! </p><p> </p><p>

Opening Womens Tag Team match</p><p>

"Red Hot" Laura Flame & Marie Punnen vs <strong>"Ice Cold" Claire Winters & "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel</strong></p><p>

Talia needs some momentum back, Marie will probably take the fall.</p>
