Riley McManus opens the show with a promo, saying his attack last month had been planned by Stranger and Turner along with Wright. This brings out the head trainer of Piledriver Wrestling School to respond, but his promo is cut short by an on-screen message from the Piledriver champion, Rockin' Ryan Turner. From the backstage area of a rock club, Turner says he's eager to find out the outcome of tonight's main event once he gets back from performing with his band. Unsure of whether the footage is live or taped, McManus starts forming a response but before he can say much, the Masked Stranger once again appears to attack him from behind.

"Glorious" Logan Wolfsbaine & "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs Cip Conduit & Gorgeous Gold

Picking up where they left off last month, Wolfsbaine and Gold start the match hot off the tracks but once the cowardly Gold takes a few knee shots to the abdomen, he decides to protect his swimsuit modelling career and quickly tags his partner in. Conduit is a fireplug brawler as usual but has a hard time against the larger, more powerful Wolfsbaine until he nails him in the head with a double axehandle off the second rope, forcing him to a retreat. Ferrera gets the tag to pick up the pace, but as he climbs the top for his Frog Splash finisher, Gold dashes across the apron and clips his leg to send him crashing on the mat. Ferrera barely rolls through the fall, tags Wolfsbaine in and exits the ring with a dive over the top rope and onto Gold while Logan hits Conduit with a sitout powerbomb for the pin.

Winners: "Glorious" Logan Wolfsbaine & "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall

The match is over and Gorgeous Gold is quick to retreat in order to avoid any further damage that might put his modelling career at risk. Too exhausted to catch up with him, Ferrera grabs a mic from the timekeeper's table instead and says he demands a match against Gold next month, one on one.

"Red Hot" Laura Flame & Olivia "Rough" Diamond vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly & "AAA's own" Selina Svelte (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

Flame starts off against Svelte, hitting a couple of decent kicks until her opponent blocks one to reverse with a Dragonscrew Legwhip. Pouncing on top of her fallen opponent, Svelte shifts around looking for a submission and while she doesn't force the tap out, she is still able to do some damage to Flame before tagging in McFly. Starting off with advantage, McFly further stretches the former champion, focusing on her lower back in order to set up the McFly Roll. Flame finally manages to block an attempt at a Boston Crab with an enzuguiri to the back of McFly's head, giving her just enough space for the hot tag to Diamond. The rookie enters the ring full of energy to good reaction from fans in attendance, but McFly too was able to make the tag and Svelte comes in, only to suddenly get caught in a surprise roll up.

Winners: "Red Hot" Laura Flame & Olivia "Rough" Diamond, by pinfall with a quick roll up

ozLd3Bm.jpg

Sawyer and his clients are arguing about who's to blame for the loss, when the winners get on the mic to request a title shot for Diamond. Sawyer says the champion wasn't pinned and Diamond has no right to make such a claim, but the proud McFly interrupts him to accept, setting the stage for a title match next month.

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester vs "The Monster" Annihilus (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)

Despite dominating in this short bout, Annihilus can't quite put Winchester down as every time he's close, the Texan Patriot hulks back up thanks to the cheers of the crowd. Frustrated, Annihilus eventually loses it and decides to completely destroy his opponent instead of going for the pin, his aggression going well past the initial referee warnings to the point where he ends up getting disqualified.

Winner: "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester, by disqualification

"Playboy" Jake Sawyer leads Claire Winters to the ring for the next match. Pamela Rojo then makes her entrance with a mic in hand, cutting a promo in which she promises to defeat Winters tonight and Svelte next month in order to earn herself a shot against Tamara McFly and the Piledriver Womens title.

Pamela Rojo vs "Ice Cold" Claire Winters (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

Although Winters has her moments with some MMA-style strike combinations, Rojo is just unstoppable in this match. All Sawyer can do at ringside is buy his client time and a few chances for a comeback, but soon enough Rojo hits Winters with a big running powerbomb and covers her to win clean as a whistle.

Winner: Pamela Rojo, by pinfall

Riley McManus vs Masked Stranger

The main event is a clash between polar opposites in the clean cut Georgia good ol' boy and the cheating villain in the black mask. Both men are pretty powerful and skilled when it comes to the technical aspects of wrestling, so it's down to McManus' willpower against the nasty tactics of his opponent. Every time Riley gets some offense going, Stranger puts the brakes with some kind of a cheap shot. McManus can't quite get up to a pin attempt but neither will he stay down for the three count, leading to a stalemate as the drama escalates. In the following kick out though, Riley's foot accidentally catches the side of referee Alvin Lavin's head as he was making the count, opening up the window for stranger to hit a low blow and lock in his Camel Clutch finisher. McManus refuses to tap out and after some agonizing minutes in the hold, Lavin throws the match, deeming the Georgia native unable to continue.

Winner: Masked Stranger, by referee stoppage

[The morning after Damage Inc 2017]

'You have one new voicemail'

"Hey boss, it's Logan. Listen, that headache I had last night? Wouldn't go away with painkillers and this morning I was all dizzy when I got up from bed. Almost fell over like a sack o' potatoes with a sudden rush of vertigo. Anyway, I went to a hospital, had it checked out? Doc said it's a concussion. Gonna have to sit tight for a couple o' months, so I thought you should know. Please don't blame the boys for it, they didn't botch anything; I was careless and brought it upon myself. Let me know if you need me next month, I can still cut a promo or something if you want me to."

Well, sh*t... Just as I was about to ask his uncle to bail us out of debt again!

[saturday, Week 3 of March 2017]

"United States Pro Wrestling officials are said to be in a state of shock after news broke that they had lost $50.487.000 in funds thanks to the extreme financial mismanagement of their accounts department. Several staff have been suspended and an internal investigation is underway. The financial pressure this brings has only been worsened by the news that the scandal has already seen several major sponsors pull out of deals and USPW's status with Reverie is still in the air."

Source: totalextremewrestling.com

That should make the US, nay, the global pro wrestling scene a much more interesting place going forward. If we weren't knee deep in debt already, I'd even dream of picking up some of the workers bound to be cut when their contracts come up.

Lee Wright starts the show with an announcement, saying the champion is still on tour with his band but has provided a video message greeting for all the fans in attendance. Turner pops up on the screen and cuts a promo to say he is eager to find out what happens in tonight's show and especially the tag team co-main event as he expects to be presented with a challenger to beat upon his return.</p><p>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs Gorgeous Gold</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Ferrera's straightforward character makes for a nice clash against the cocky swimsuit model from Australia and that also translates in the wrestling action. Gold uses his size, weight and power advantage very well to hit big power moves and earn himself plenty of breaks to pause and flex, flirt with any females he's able to spot in the front rows or steal some of the free shrimp ("they're called prawns, mate!") from fans' plates. After Gold earns himself some heel heat Ritchie Riggins could only dream of a year ago in this place, Ferrera begins to make his comeback with moves that take advantage of his supreme athleticism to pop the crowd. It all seems to be going the former champion's way, until Gold produces a spare shrimp he snatched up ("I said prawns, man!") and shoves it down Ferrera's throat, using the surprise and potential choking predicament to roll him up for a quick pin and steal the win.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Gorgeous Gold, by pinfall thanks to underhanded tactics</strong></p><p>

<img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Quickly making his way backstage, Gold still takes a moment to cut a cocky promo about the awesomeness of shr...prawns, only for Ferrera to finally spit out the one stuck down his throat and give chase.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Pamela Rojo vs "AAA's own" Selina Svelte (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Svelte may be smaller than Rojo's previous opponent, but she's faster and better prepared. Every move Rojo tries to hit, Svelte counters into some sort of submission hold, showing she's done her homework so well she's always a step ahead of the former QAW star. Sawyer is nearly delirious at ringside witnessing the gradual dismantling of Rojo, but the smile freezes on his face when the tide turns and thanks to her power, Rojo reverses a front choke into her running powerbomb finisher for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Pamela Rojo, by pinfall</strong></p><p>

<img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

After the match, Rojo celebrates her win and takes a moment to cut a quick promo on Tamara McFly, saying she'll beat the last of Sawyer Sports Services for the Piledriver Womens title when they meet next.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

The babyface team enters the ring first, with Riley McManus cutting a promo that recaps his long rivalry with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar, Annihilus and now Masked Stranger who stands in his way for a shot at the Piledriver title. To which Winchester only has "Yyyyyup!" to add. This brings out the ever-menacing Annihilus alongside a frantic Sheik on the mic to respond by insulting everything under the sun in typical Sheik fashion. Masked Stranger mercifully interrupts the ranting by coming out to say he didn't leave IPW and sunny L.A. to come wrestle in this Florida dump for nothing; he will win tonight and go on to take the title.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester & Riley McManus vs Masked Stranger & "The Monster" Annihilus (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Stranger and Winchester start the match off in the most no-frills, oldschool southern wrasslin' way possible: two big muscular men, a cowboy and a masked one, trading big blows in the middle of the ring. Once he's had enough, Stranger ups the ante by tagging in Annihilus and despite the fearless Texan patriot's efforts, it is a battle he cannot hope to win. McManus gets tagged in and for a moment, it's a nod back to their storied rivalry. Showing he's learned his lesson, McManus rushes to knock out the Sheik instead of trying to attack the monster, which immediately sends Annihilus to the outside in an attempt to check on his handler. Seeing the far out look on his partner's eyes, Stranger realizes they may lose via countout here so he tags himself in, only to get caught in Riley's ambush; a bounce off the top rope later, the Slingshot Suplex is complete and Riley gets the pin.</p><p>

Despite Diamond's best efforts and plenty of heart on display, she just isn't up to par with McFly, who seems content to let the match drag on so she can toy with her prey before finishing it off. As the drama builds up, McFly starts adding in a bit of trash talk between her moves. Clearly, she is using her opponent to send a message to Pamela Rojo as to what she can expect when they clash for the gold and once she's had enough, she finally hits the underdog Diamond with a McFly roll to retain.</p><p>

Thrilled at his client's victory, "Playboy" Jake Sawyer gets in the ring with a mic once the match is over, taunting Rojo and saying she's only going to embarrass herself if she steps in the ring with the champ.</p><p>

It seems that Tamara is your veteran women's champ to work with younger women, plus Rojo has the commitments to QAW and I don't see you switching the title onto someone else who isn't a PDW exclusive.

Come on Riley!!!! It's no secret I love me some Riely, so while I think it's entirely possible for Turner to win, I'd love to see McManus pull it out.

I love Buck Winchester, but for some reason I'm having a really hard time getting into the Texan Patriot right now, but it could be I'm still sad he left me in RMW.

This brings up an interesting aspect I am not sure I've brought up, but I've limited myself to hiring only unemployed workers, unless it's for a single appearance. Ferrera and Wolfsbaine were cut from PSW (as they seem to do early on in every save), Millie the Minx and Rojo were cut from QAW, Svelte from AAA, Masked Stranger from IPW and so on. It makes sense from a narrative aspect and also helps me limit the talent pool so I don't end up with a huge roster (I'm still at Local and in debt anyway). I also intend to cut people if they land a steady job with another company like King Bison does on his Titan Factory diary, but so far I haven't made it to that point.

Buck got real big real fast so I couldn't put him in anything longer than 10 minutes without getting penalties for overusing his "Gimmicky" based Cowboy... gimmick. Turning him into a Patriot seemed like the smallest change I could make to his character, because Texas #MuricaFKYEAH

It's also a shame that Ryan Turner is going on tour. That double backs up my claim for Riley, baybay!

Actually, it comes at a great time given my other plans and some interesting developments in the game world, but no spoilers!

Also, shout out to southside_hitmen for that Turner tweet. The one by Eric Tyler in the WIRE dynasty inspired me to come up with something similar. I am pretty fond of certain real world wrestlers' use of social media (Kevin Owens, Tama Tonga and Jericho-Omega during their feud, to name some) so I might be using it again down the road.

Also, I just realized I got the date wrong on both tweets, so pretend they say May instead of January

His promo is cut short by the head trainer of Piledriver School himself. Lee Wright comments on Turner's recent string of gigs taking their toll on him and wonders what he'll be like after his band's US tour, suggesting he should take his wrestling career more seriously. This leads to an argument that finally sees Wright snap and flexing his authority muscle, he decides to add a few tweaks to the show card in order to give the 102 fans in attendance (Piledriver's first ever three digit crowd) the best wrestling possible. Saying he's had enough of everyone's shenanigans, Wright adds a stipulation to each of the top 3 matches of the card: for McFly vs Rojo, "Playboy" Jake Sawyer will be banned from ringside; Turner vs McManus will be a 2 out of 3 falls in order to test whether Turner has the conditioning required out of a champion and because of the Masked Stranger's cheating and repeat assaults, tonight he will be fighting for his contract with Piledriver Wrestling!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs Jules Knight</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Knight comes into the match with a solid gameplan, using his technical prowess to limit Ferrera, keep him grounded and slow down the pace to what suits him. Fans are quick to rally behind the charismatic Puerto Rican athlete and help him make his eventual comeback, picking up the pace up to the finish of the match where he hits a long distance High Impact Frog Splash for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall</strong></p><p>

<img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

The match is over and Ferrera's hand is raised, but all of a sudden the lights go down low, leaving only some red ones on. A hulking figure in a hooded cloak comes out and walks menacingly to the ring. Ferrera looks ready to make his stand, but the big man uses his reach to grab his throat from a safe distance and chokeslam him to the mat! He then pulls back his hood to reveal himself as...</p><p>

Not seen in Piledriver Wrestling for several months, Austin "Easy Money" Smooth makes his entrance next, looking a hell lot more muscular than last time fans saw him. Smooth grabs a mic and gets in the ring to cut a promo, saying he took some time off to train and put on muscle, promising fans they'll see the fruit of his labors tonight when he out-brawls Cip Conduit.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Austin "Easy Money" Smooth vs Cip Conduit</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

As promised, Smooth shows how his newfound physical power allows him to trade blows toe to toe with Conduit while also preventing him from being bullied around the ring. Beaten in his own game, Conduit loses it and goes absolutely mental, turning the pace all the way up to eleven as the brawl spills out of the ring and even around some front row fans' tables. While it makes for an exciting and different kind of bout, it also blazes through Conduit's stamina, in return highlighting Smooth's sharpened cardio. After taking firm control of the match, Smooth takes things back to the ring and eventually slaps on the Smooth Hold, now much more painful thanks to his extra musculature, forcing Conduit to submit.</p><p>

Loser Leaves Piledriver Wrestling match</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester vs The Masked Stranger</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Given Winchester's history in such matches, the added stipulation makes him a favorite in fans' eyes, but this doesn't mean he takes this match any less serious. His hotshot brawling is met with defensive grappling from the Stranger, who relies on counters to put on the brakes and get Winchester on a corner so he can work on him with stiff big strikes. Things go back and forth like that for a while, with Winchester trying to make a comeback only for Stranger to somehow get back in control before his opponent can hit more than a move or two. This constant string of second winds ends up exhausting the Texan Patriot and it looks like his future with Piledriver Wrestling is at risk, until he makes one last big comeback, exploding out of the corner to catch the Masked Stranger with a Neckbreaker out of nowhere!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

As a defeated Masked Stranger leaves the building, Winchester gets on the mic to say Gorgeous Gold is next, promising to send him back to TITAN Factory. Gold comes out with a mic of his own and accepts the challenge, promising in return to end the career of the man who's ended so many others' careers.</p><p>

Piledriver title match</strong></p><p><strong>

Rockin' Ryan Turner © vs Riley McManus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Somewhat sobered up in comparison to the show's start, Turner gets in the ring against a sharp and focused McManus. Despite now having a heavier frame, most of it is fat rather than muscle so Turner is having some trouble and eventually slides back to his old cheating ways. Riley is taken by surprise at first, but his time around Sheik Ali Al-Avatar seems to have taught him a thing or two and he soon stops falling for Turner's tricks. Desperate to retain, Turner goes for his Six String Shooter finisher (which is essentially a running spear) only for McManus to catch him, spin him up and over for the leg bounce on the top rope and bring him down with a Slingshot Suplex for the win.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Riley McManus, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Banned from ringside as per Lee Wright's decision, "Playboy" Jake Sawyer comes out to take over from the ring announcer and introduce Tamara McFly, hyping her up for her main event title defense against Pamela Rojo.</p><p>

Piledriver Womens title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly © vs Pamela Rojo</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Rojo looks to make the best of her size and power advantage as the match gets underway, but the champion uses her own speed to confuse and avoid her before striking back with a counter. Despite Sawyer's absence at ringside, McFly seems to be doing pretty well for herself and the main event delivers a straightforward wrestling match between two solid competitors. The finish sees McFly having trouble to properly hit her McFly Roll finisher on the bigger and heavier Rojo, who uses that and the champion's frustration for one last big push, hitting the Running Powerslam to put McFly down for the count.</p><p>

"STUPID AMERICAN INFIDELS AND THEIR MONEY MAGICKS!"

I had not qualms about screaming such things inside the locker room. Raw Power 2017 was in the books, everyone started gathering for my post-show speech and while the show itself was a success, the atmosphere was tense. It was no secret we were way above our heads in debt. I may have sounded angry, but I was actually frustrated. We had finally broken through the one hundred attendance ceiling. We were putting on great shows every month and bringing in bigger and bigger names, Scythe to replace the departing Turner, for cryin' out loud! Ticket sales, merch, sponsorship, everything was going up while worker expenses were kept from rising but the debt kept piling on month after month. We weren't growing fast enough and by now, nothing short of a miracle would be required to keep us afloat. Banks hadn't started making calls, but they were certainly keeping tabs on us. What good is winning the battles if you're losing the war?

Fatal Force 2017

Saturday, Week 4 May, 2017

Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL

aMXABmX.jpgffi3NAo.jpg0OTqIIo.jpgMBBQG5n.jpg

"Playboy" Jake Sawyer cuts a promo to open the show and introduce the newest member of Sawyer Sports Services, Talia Quinzel. The former AAA star comes out to a loud reaction, but not as loud as that "Red Hot" Laura Flame and Olivia "Rough" Diamond get when they interrupt to question how come Quinzel is debuting in a co-main event title match when everyone else has to work their way up. Quinzel says because she's that damn good and they will get a taste of it firsthand next month when she'll team up with Selina Svelte to teach them a lesson.

Austin "Easy Money" Smooth vs Jules Knight

Putting two technically-oriented workers in the opening match of a show is an unorthodox approach, but both men have the skills to make it work, plus apparently some great chemistry against each other to boot, so things turn out better than expected. Once again, Smooth's new found physical power pays dividends (and gives Knight a bloody nose in the process) leading him slowly but surely to another victory via his Camel Clutch/Full Nelson finisher.

Winner: Austin "Easy Money" Smooth, by submission

Returning from injury with a sharper look, Logan seems to embrace his heritage as he cuts a promo to inform fans he will from now on be known as Logan Diaz, not Wolfsbaine.

"Glorious" Logan Diaz vs Cip Conduit

It seems Logan's tapped into the Diaz heritage for more than just the name and on a few occasions does bust out some of his famous uncle's signature moves. Once again Conduit can do little more than put up a solid brawl against a bigger opponent but eventually falls victim to a double Belly to Belly Suplex.

Winner: "Glorious" Logan Diaz, by pinfall

ozLd3Bm.jpg

ONcD9oO.jpg

Gorgeous Gold comes out to cut a promo next, saying he's faced the coast-inhabiting beasts of Australia on more than one interrupted photoshoot and Buck Winchester's going to be child's play in comparison.

Loser Leaves Piledriver Wrestling match

Gorgeous Gold vs "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester

For all his cocky heel antics, Gold knows how to wrestle and doesn't let gimmickry overshadow his performance. Winchester seems to be having a hard time against the man trained by Dread, but his true American grit keeps him in the fight and kicking out of covers as fans come alive with cheers, chants and claps. Things are on edge and there's a feeling the match could end any moment now, with either man winning it but it's Winchester who actually does, sending Gold out of the promotion once and for all.

Winner: "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester, by pinfall

Winchester is celebrating his hard-earned win when another cowboy with his face concealed runs down the ring to attack him from behind. Once the assault is done, the man does a gesture of blowing off the smoke from his finger pistols, a trademark taunt made famous by none other than "The Outlaw" Wes Revell.

Piledriver Womens title match

Pamela Rojo © vs "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

Both women are pretty massive compared to the average female wrestler, but in very different ways: Rojo is stocky and muscular, a build that lets her outpower opponents with slams and suplexes, whereas the six feet tall Quinzel enjoys a height advantage she tends to use for a multitude of backbreaker variations in her arsenal. The setup makes for an extremely physical womens match, where graceful high flying and smooth technical grappling are thrown out the window in favor of stiff shots and power moves straight out of a strong style joshi showdown. Sawyer limits himself to cheering his client on from the sidelines instead of being distractive and Quinzel ends the match in dominant fashion by flattening out Rojo with her Spinal Trauma finisher for the clean pin and title victory.

Winner: "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel, by pinfall

Grabbing a mic on his way into the ring, Sawyer reminds everyone of his promise on Twitter and Quinzel hits the Spinal Trauma once again on Rojo before beating her down to the point of near unconsciousness. Exiting the ring to a rain of boos, Sawyer and the new champion retreat as medics rush in to strap Rojo onto a stretcher and carry her away.

Triple Threat match for the Piledriver title

Riley McManus © vs Scythe vs Xavi Ferrera

McManus an Ferrera instantly team up against the much bigger Scythe, but the initial salvo that has him reeling comes to an abrupt stop when he slams hard on the breaks with a double chokeslam! Scythe turns his attention to the easy target in the smaller Ferrera, allowing McManus to roll out of the ring and recompose himself. Ferrera's speed is of little help against the big man and an attempt at a Ferrerana is easily countered into a powerbomb for the kick out. McManus rejoins the fray to catch the seated Scythe from behind with a full nelson, which Ferrera breaks up with a dropkick on Scythe's exposed face. The combination takes Scythe out for a while, allowing McManus and Ferrera to go at it until the champion somehow ends up rolling up Ferrera, with Scythe being a second too late to break it up.

The locker room burst into cheers and clapping as Rojo was stretchered in, a quick moment of respite before Riley, Scythe and Xavi would go out to work the main event. Lee Wright got rid of the straps and gave her some space to stand up, before hugging her tight, sweat and bruises be damned. She'd only been with the company for ten months or so, brought in with McFly to help the younger ladies learn how to work. Tamara had gotten her run with the title first and piled up defenses while Rojo was being built up to dethrone her. Then when it finally happened, QAW called to bring her back. Like, the day after the show. They weren't being competitive, Rojo would be able to work both companies if she wanted but Piledriver had a strict policy of cutting workers once they had landed a long-term deal with a bigger promotion. We'd just given her a home until she could go back to Texas, made Hesketh and Brayfield and all them folks to see what they were stupid to let go in the first place. Sure, she'd have to drop the title before making a single defense, but with Talia joining us, putting her over on the way out was the perfect way to establish the Mistress of the Backbreaker as a genuine threat while giving the gold to someone fresh and able to carry it.

I'd pulled the trigger on double title changes at Raw Power, even if Turner's was out of necessity. Didn't want to do the same tonight. Riley was solid and deserved better. Scythe was probably too big for us, so I didn't feel safe about his potential title run when he could be snatched up anytime. In an ideal world, I'd have brought in Ekuma, Avalanche, Lassana Makutsi and all that talent RIPW kept signing up for the Eisens to burn up and toss aside for not being the next Sam Strong three months after their debut. But in reality, we were still a Local-sized promotion drowning in debt with just Jules Knight graduating from our dojo since I took control and none of our graduates yet moving on to bigger things.

Cowboy showdown</p><p>

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester vs <strong>"The Outlaw" Wes Revell</strong></p><p>

<em>I love both of these guys. It's no secret. I usually end up pairing them together as a tag, but I like them feuding here. I think Revell gets the early victory to set them off on some follow up matches.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tyrus Omega comes out to open the show with a promo on himself and how awesome he is to have beaten The Silencer for the top prize in TITAN Factory Wrestling, a feat no one in nearly a year and a half now hasn't managed. Riley McManus interrupts the cocky former pro footballer to a solid babyface pop and it looks like the two are about to come to blows when Lee Wright joins them in the ring, telling them to save it for later while also making it clear that neither man's title will be on the line.

Kenny "K-Squared" Kuntz vs "The Monster" Annihilus (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)

A dreadful opener, K-Squared's style is too fast for Annihilus to keep up with and none of his high flying moves seem to even graze the big man, who proceeds to wipe the mat with his opponent's body. K-Squared gets tossed around for a bit, much to the delight of Sheik Ali Al-Avatar at ringside, before Annihilus eliminates him with the Choke Grip.

Winner: "The Monster" Annihilus, by stoppage

Under the Sheik's direct orders, Annihilus continues the beatdown even after the match is over, almost as if he's out to turn K-Squared into paste. Too big for security to handle, Annihilus is simply left to vent on the unlucky Canadian star until the Sheik finally stops him to return backstage.

Led to the ring by "Playboy" Jake Sawyer, the team of Quinzel & Svelte make their entrance. Flame & Diamond are out next, but Tamara McFly and Claire Winters attack them from behind as soon as they come out! Softening them up for their teammates, McFly and Winters get in some damage done and then roll the babyfaces into the ring for the match to get started.

"Red Hot" Laura Flame & Olivia "Rough" Diamond vs "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel & "AAA's own" Selina Svelte (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

Making the best of their unfair advantage, the heels start the match in control with Svelte working her submission holds on Flame. Fans cheer for the former champion and she eventually powers out in a display of fighting spirit, before tagging in Diamond who's had some time to rest on the apron. Diamond tries to keep the offense rolling for her side, but Svelte lures her to the heels' corner, where she gets trapped due to her inexperience. Svelte & Quinzel use quick tags to cut off the ring and with a little distraction from Sawyer, Quinzel circles the ring to attack Flame and take her out with a backbreaker while Svelte slaps on the Prawn Armlock in the middle of the ring. Worn down, with nowhere to go and her teammate out, Diamond fights for as long as she can but eventually taps.

Winners: "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel & "AAA's own" Selina Svelte, by submission

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester vs "The Outlaw" Wes Revell

The two competitors mirror each other not just in looks or cowboy gimmicks but also their no-nonesense, good ol' brawling style of fighting. A match that wouldn't be out of place in a Texas or Mid-West based promotion, this one's a classic barroom brawl that, well, takes place in an actual bar and Revell ends up winning via the essential difference between him and Winchester, his willingness to use underhanded tactics.

Winner: "The Outlaw" Wes Revell, by pinfall with a handful of tights

Riley McManus vs Tyrus Omega

Since the announcement of the show's match card, many fans have argued on social media that this should be the main event and from the opening bell it becomes apparent they may be on to something, as popularity, skill and titles aside, McManus and Omega also seem to have great chemistry against each other. Being up against McManus, the TITAN Factory champion is technically the heel, but it's all due to his overconfidence and cocky character, not his cheating ways. This makes for a pretty straightforward athletic competition inside the ring, treating fans to an exciting and open-ended match that Riley ends up winning via his Slingshot Suplex finisher. Showing respect to his defeated opponent, McManus offers a handshake after the final bell, only for a frustrated Omega to slap his hand away and retreat backstage in anger.

Winner: Riley McManus, by pinfall

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera hits the ring to cut a promo on his recent performance, which hasn't been up to par with what he and fans might expect from the former Piledriver champion. Ferrera says this is his chance to turn things around and no matter how scary his scheduled opponent may be, he will do his best to beat him.

"The Master of the Chokeslam" Scythe vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera

Confident thanks to a distinct size and power advantage, Scythe is off to a strong start as he bullies Ferrera around until the former champion uses that against him, bouncing off the ropes to hit a big dropkick! Ferrera stays on the offensive, trying to use his athleticism to overwhelm the former RIPW star and not give him a breather, a tactic that seems to be paying off for a few minutes. Just as Ferrera climbs the top turnbuckle for the High Impact Frog Splash, Scythe gets back up fuelled by whatever infernal force is behind him and counters the move by grabbing Ferrera's throat to bring him off the top rope and onto the mat with a huge chokeslam! Showing renewed vigor, Scythe beats down Ferrera and eventually delivers his big Underworld Spike finisher for the win, securing himself a title match against Riley McManus next month.

Winner: "The Master of the Chokeslam" Scythe, by pinfall
