But I still believe that we can pull out the win. </p><p> </p><p> I know this'll be confusing and hard to trust but I'll do my best to explain it better at the start of day phase. </p><p> </p><p> In good news, I now get to be a "reformed jester" and actually am Crew Aligned. In addition, I'm now targetable at night. Please put down the pitchforks for a moment so I can better explain who I am and what my game has been.</p><p> </p><p> I was <span style="color:#FF00FF;"><strong>Chaos Aligned Jester</strong></span>. My job was to sew chaos and deceit between The Crew (town), The Disgruntled (cult), The Undead (guess this would have been TBP's team) and The Pirates (mafia). When Ray was envisioning the "chaos" portion of this game, I feel like this and the zombies were mainly what he was thinking. Revenant died early and I hadn't been very interesting until this day phase but things certainly feel chaotic at the moment to me.</p><p> </p><p> My ability was that I was untargetable at night and if I was killed during the day phase, I'd still get to live. So essentially deathproof.</p><p> </p><p> But there were certain rules specific to my character that I needed to follow:</p><p> - I could not announce/claim to be jester. I'd be modkilled if I did. (I can now that I'm no longer Jester though)</p><p> - I could not be a vote on myself (later clarified by Ray that I can vote for myself, but can't be on the vote by hammer or I'll actually die).</p><p> </p><p> If I could do that, I'd come back as a member of the Crew and I'll explain more about my current role in a second.</p><p> </p><p> Strategy: My strategy at first was to try to be more aggressive than last time, I thought it'd look scummy and people would come my way. But I wasn't good at being aggressive so no one was really paying me much attention. By Day 5 I think (these day phases have blurred together), I opted to just go super hard at DJ. Risk my life for his. I felt like he was town and when he flipped people would be angry and go for me. And if he was scum, I was planning on just keeping up the "my life for his" on Destiny, then Rev. No way all 3 were scum.</p><p> </p><p> I got lucky/unlucky that I genuinely messed up my fake claim of a town hider. As Jester I was already untargetable at night so I wanted a claim like Town Hider that made sense with that. But I was dumb, messed up my targets. I didn't realize I had been so aggressive against Eliphas day 2 and didn't check it over. But DJ rightfully caught me in a fake claim that didn't match with my in-thread actions. </p><p> </p><p> So my options were either A) Fight it and maybe survive but probably get lynched or B) Accept it and get my win quicker.</p><p> </p><p> I figured people would see I claimed, jump on the lynch quick, and bang, end of day phase and I could be honest. But it got dragged out a lot longer than I wanted which I do feel bad about, even if I don't feel that was my fault.</p><p> </p><p> The way it played out to me is that DJ is town and was confident that he finally got mafia. And then he was making his reads using the logic that I was scum. I wanted to correct him but knew I needed to get myself killed and doing anything too helpful for town could get me off the lynch. And like I said, I couldn't role reveal Jester per Ray's rules. Nor would I really want to, truthfully, that'd be kind of lame.</p><p> </p><p> Anyways:</p><p> </p><p> Now I am <span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Crew Aligned Reformed Jester</strong></span>. My role is vanilla but I am actually aligned with the town now and can help in the pursuit of scum.</p><p> </p><p> Knowing that the scum team are pirates, I feel like Showtime is a part of them. He claimed to drive the ship early on and I thought that meant captain, like a pirate captain. He's confused me a lot since then but now I'm pretty certain he is scum. JOAT is a scummy role claim in its own right.</p><p> </p><p> I'm pretty sure Blue is also scum. I feel like that's why he's been suspicious that something was up this whole time. It felt pretty straightforward to me that I was scum that got caught but he's been ultra doubting this entire scenario the whole time. Which is accurate but a little too accurate for my taste.</p><p> </p><p> And then finally, I do think it is Opulent. Considering you're still here in the game, I'm guessing you can win with any team surviving. I'd pick the red scum team as well. I don't feel like cult could get dis-disgruntled (gruntled?) or that the Undead could suddenly get healed.</p><p> </p><p> But it made sense for my role because I feel like Ray imagined this would be a Day 1 or Day 2 sort of thing (so it would allow me to keep playing longer rather than just dying but getting a "Jester Win"). </p><p> </p><p> With Cult/Undead, they'd still be in the game once their alignment was turned.</p><p> </p><p> So I still feel like he is cult.
