Blake Trask
y'know seeing those generic shirts on the Express Delivery flunkies made that very vivid in my mind. full on 'generic security' that WWE has sometimes that are random indy guys or dev dudes. Trickerion and Gnaw may be in the frame again sooner rather than later. Zeus continues to be a bro. I did wonder how he'd handle Diablo. Skip's slow burning possible face turn is great. Ali is still scum though. Good segment here, since y'know, he's supposed to be hateable. What a POS.
Regis
CGC World Title Match: Hugh Ancrie vs Zeus Maxmillion Should be a good match, even if the outcome is not in doubt. Ultimate Showdown Series: Blockbuster vs Sayeed Ali Oh Sayeed. How the mighty have fallen. Ultimate Showdown Series: Bobby Thomas vs Torque Zeus is the main man, but Bobby Thomas is a firm favourite in my book. Philippe LaGrenier, Delivery Drone #1 & #2 vs Lords of Vegas & Ian Identity Unnamed drones, you say? Sounds like a chance to keep momentum going for the Face trio! Robin DaLay vs Mario DaSilva I love the artist, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it going the other way.

Self
Sunday Week 4 June 2019 Late Evening on Maple Leaf Sports Saskatoon, Saskatchewan 2,755 in attendance ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN SERIES (4) BOBBY THOMAS VS TORQUE (2) Jack DeColt "Torque has had a tough time so far in the Series, seeming a little directionless without his tag team partner Greaser around." Torque has plenty of speed but zero ideas and Bobby takes advantage of that indecision by taking him down, latching onto limbs, and stretching the bite-sized biker. Torque looks for an escape, an idea... and finds it. He uses hard work to diligently fight back. Super Kick! Specialist Touch (Single Arm DDT)! Cross Armbreaker! Bobby's taken by surprise having his techniques mimicked, but knows the counter to his own move, folding Torque up for the 1... 2... 3! BOBBY THOMAS WINS VIA PINFALL (Bobby Thomas +2, Torque +0) Jack DeColt "Bobby Thomas is picking up steam. He's now tied with Ian Identity for the lead." IN-RING PHILIPPE LaGRENIER Ze Express Delivery recruitment drive has been a resounding success. Fighters from all over ze world applied to be part of ze fastest growing team in professional wrestling, but we wanted something specific. We wanted men we can mould. We wanted to create jobs in ze wrestling community. For years zese men have been unemployed, with nowhere to go, begging for ze chance to get in ze ring. Now zey can. Now they are here! Now zey're willing to do whatever it takes to serve Express Delivery. DICE ELDERBERRY Or else there's plenty more were they came from. HUGH ANCRIE Express Delivery have cornered the market in package delivery and tag team wrestling, but we're always looking to expand. Zeus Maxmillion! You tried to ruin our recruitment celebration last week, but all you've done is awoken the beast that is the corporate machine. We're moving into your territory. Your assets will be ours. Tonight I'm adding your CGC World Title to the Express Delivery brand, and adding your demon to our workforce. /w Delivery Drone #3 & Delivery Drone #4 Philippe LaGrenier, Delivery Drone #1 & Delivery Drone #2 EXPRESS DELIVERY LORDS OF INFAMY The Great Trickerion, Gnaw & Ian Identity Jack DeColt "Express Delivery have quickly added to their ranks, but they've been making enemies just as fast. Hopefully their new recruits are up to the challenge... the ginger one looks familiar." LaGrenier welcome the Drones to the company by making them do all of the work, absorbing intense forearms and tiger claws, before jumping in to collect the glory when they finally manage to post Gnaw to their corner. The Postal Powerhouse shows off his strength, but gets distracted when Trickerion pulls a rabbit out of his hat. The Master Illusionist tags in and delights and amazes by cutting the ring in half. Belly to Belly Suplex! Glittering Magician! 1... 2... The Drones pull LaGrenier to safety, and the Muscular Mailman thanks them by throwing them to the wolves. Incapacitor (Double Underhook Armbar)! The Feast (STF with Biting)! The Drones tap! LORDS OF INFAMY WIN (9:17) Jack DeColt "New recruits or no, the Lords of Vegas aren't giving up their quest to be tag team champions." JENNY PLAYMATE Next week the Ultimate Showdown Series jumps back into full gear, starting with a match between these two men. Running Wolf, you've been using the Ultimate Showdown Series to hunt for your ancestor Howling Dog's magical tomahawk. Any leads so far? RUNNING WOLF None, and I fear my interogations have been in vain. The fighters in the Series are skilled warriors, but they are young, and know nothing of my ancestor. Worse, my lack of focus has cost me points. I can see now that the only way to discover the truth is to win the Three Wishes and use them to find the answers I need. SKIP BEAU Fat chance! The only man winning the Ultimate Showdown Series is my best friend, Blockbuster. But you already know that since he kicked your ass. You should have laid down. Everyone should lay down for the awesome power of Blockbuster! JENNY PLAYMATE Even you? You're in last place right now. That could mean exile. SKIP BEAU I.... Shut up, Jenny. I may be in last place now, but I won't be when all this is over. Hey, big guy. Look over there. Running Wolf turns, and Skip pulls out a sock full of pennies, but Jenny slaps it out of his hand and the pennies scatter loudly onto the floor. SKIP BEAU If you let me win next week you can keep those. ROBIN DALAY VS MARIO DaSILVA Mario turns the young bully into his latest masterpiece, twisting Robin's limbs into beautifully horrific contortions, until Robin fish-hooks his way to freedom. Spinning Backfist! 1... 2... 3. ROBIN DALAY WINS (4:14) IN-RING BLOCKBUSTER You know something, Sayeed? I kinda like you. I respect your style. In another life, in another sport, maybe we could have been friends. But there can only be one winner of the Ultimate Showdown Series, and it's not going to be you. You can either fight me and get broken against these turnbuckles, or do the smart thing and lay down. SAYEED ALI Not a chance. You had your time at the top and Zeus kicked your ass. Those Three Wishes are mine. I ain't laying down for nobody. Blockbuster grabs Faith and puts her heads between his legs. BLOCKBUSTER Oh yeah? What if I do this??? Lay down or I break your little girlfriend against the turnbuckles. Faith screams for help. Sayeed laughs. SAYEED ALI Go ahead, big man. If you got the guts. It's a staredown. I don't think Blockbuster expected that reaction. Regardless, he hoists her up with ease and runs towards the turnbuckles with a- SHANE STONES Stop right there! Take one more step and I won't just disqualify you, I'll kick you out of the Series! Blockbuster pauses, and Sayeed takes advantage of the distraction to nail him with the East Coast Forearm. Shane Stones catches Faith to save her from a nasty fall. (3) SAYEED ALI VS BLOCKBUSTER (5) Jack DeColt "Great job by Shane Stones saving Faith. Time for these two to shut up and fight!" Ali presses the attack, but it's like punching a brick wall and Blockbuster shreds, thrashes, and beats him like a drum. Ali flees outside, where he can use the enviroment to his advantage, and the two fight wildly, heedlessly ignoring the fact that Shane Stones is counting them out. DOUBLE COUNT OUT (4:22) (Sayeed Ali +1, Blockbuster +1) Both men are furious! And try to continue their fight as security swarm in. <table width="40%"><tr><td width="50%" align="left" valign="center"> 1. Bobby Thomas 1. Blockbuster 1. Ian Identity 4. Dice Elderberry 5. Running Wolf 5. Sayeed Ali 7. Torque 8. As much as he must have loved getting revenge on Express Delivery tonight, he could have used this off-week to rest up. That's what Bobby Thomas did and now he and Blockbuster have caught up with him. JENNY PLAYMATE In the middle of the table, we have Dice Elderberry rebounding from a partially self-inflicted poor start. If he hadn't sold those two points to Blockbuster, he could be in the lead right now. And if Sayeed Ali hadn't gotten himself disqualified a few weeks ago, he'd be up with the leaders. Not that he deserves it, the jackass. Did you see what he almost let happen to Faith? DAVIS DITTERICH And at the bottom, two men are in serious danger of exile if they don't turn it around. Torque has suffered something of an identity crisis with Greaser by his side. I'm not sure what he was thinking trying to submit Bobby earlier. JACK DECOLT Meanwhile Skip has completely failed to adapt to Shane Stones' strict rules. You know Blockbuster's going to insist that he lay down when they match up, but can Skip afford to give up the points, even to his best friend? LOCKER ROOM ZEUS MAXMILLION is taping up his fists when DIABLO DeVILLE appears over his shoulder. DIABLO DeVILLE He has an army. You know that, right? The Deliverer will throw his hordes down upon you and for all your pretty words you will fight and you will lose. Or... you could unleash me. I could feast upon their suffering and tear the flesh from their bones. I could take on the hordes for you. All you have to do is give me the command. ZEUS MAXMILLION I say thee nay. You will be unleashed no more, demon. DIABLO DeVILLE Then tonight will be the last night I am bound to your service. I think I'll enjoy working for Express Delivery. Modern corporations come drenched in suffering. CGC WORLD TITLE MATCH /w Delivery Drones HUGH ANCRIE VS ZEUS MAXMILLION /w Diablo DeVille Jack DeColt "Ancrie would be dangerous even without his new recruits backing them up. Zeus is going to need eyes in the back of his head and a few extra sets of arms to handle this. And that's before you get to that diabolical demon in his corner." Zeus controls the challenger with Greco-Roman grappling, until a distraction from the Drones allows Ancrie to show off his stamp collection. Boring but effective, he wears Zeus down, and every time the Bronzed God starts fighting back, the Drones nip at his heels and he's delivered to suplex city. Diablo DeVille delights in his new master's suffering, and Ancrie takes time between his perfectly placed stamps to tell the demon about the wonderful employment opportunities in Express Delivery. Diablo is interested (the fear coming from Drone #4 is delicious). Zeus says NAY! He will not let the demon fall into such hands. He smites the pompous postman with left hands and headbutts! Big Back Drop! Spinebuster! Ancrie feigns an eye inury to distract the referee and the Delivery Drones spring into action! Zeus starts knocking them off of the aprons but there are too many and he gets covered in stamps! Here comes backup! LORDS OF VEGAS return the favour from last week and save the CGC World Champion from the Drones. And when they start getting overwhelmed- It's BOBBY THOMAS! And IAN IDENTITY! They pull the Drones out of the ring and brawl with them to the back. Diablo doesn't look pleased. Ancrie tries the Collector's Edition Stamp (Mafia Kick) but it's ducked! Thunder Bolt (Sit Out Bomb)! Olympian Clutch! Ancrie fights and struggles and... PHILIPPE LaGRENIER pulls the referee out of the ring, lays him out, and saves his partner with Track Package (Powerful Chop to Back)! Jack DeColt "There's too many of them! Maybe Zeus should unleash that demon." Diablo relishes the chance to destroy, but Zeus refuses. LaGrenier hits the Package Piledriver, pulls Ancrie on top of the champion, and goes outside to revive Royce Greig. While his back is turned, The Great Trickerion appears out of thin air, reverses the pin, and nails LaGrenier with the Glittering Magician! The referee is up. 1... 2... 3! ZEUS MAXMILLION RETAINS (16:02)

C 0.82 rating on Maple Leaf Sports A disappointing final show rating considering the main event was the best World Title match since the data started in January 2016. Even Jack DeColt's epic 2018 reign didn't get more than a C+. Two talented, popular guys (D & D+) with strong momentum and great chemistry delivered the goods. I wonder if it would have scored slightly higher without the shenanigans. I think the backstage rating helped a little over Jack's reign. Morale was in the toilet when I picked up the book, but with a couple of crafty releases (Powell, injured Gargantuan) and by crafting a core group of strong friends (Blockbuster, Skip, Ian, LaGrenier) CGC are bouncing back from losing the DeColt Family bonuses. Or the AI booked a ton of sports entertainment finishes and buried Jack's challengers before the fights. I don't know. Looking who the drones are, they unlikely to be anything else than jobbers and the fact that they don´t even have actual names doesn´t help their case either. I don't know if there was much hype for Express Delivery's recruitment drive, but I don't think there's a new major player in the bunch. The term "jobber" usually bothers me when it comes to diaries, because it usually disregards how competitive the match are (tricky to convey in text) but when these new flunkies aren't given names by their corporate overlords it's hard to argue. We're past the half way mark in the Ultimate Showdown Series, and each competitor has just 3 matches left to turn it around. Next Sunday it continues! DAVEFAN95
Ali I can't give Ian the win against the man who just brought the former champ to a count out draw. Ali will find a way to stop Ian's submissions Skip He needs this win more than anybody. I could see Wolf winning here, but I just feel Skip needs these points more Bobby Dice has done well for himself in this tournament, but he shouldn't beat Bobby Blockbuster Can't see Torque winning but I could see a count out draw again here, as Blockbuster and Torque both need points. Though, I'll go with the safe pick and chose Buster

Zergon
I don't know if there was much hype for Express Delivery's recruitment drive, but I don't think there's a new major player in the bunch. The term "jobber" usually bothers me when it comes to diaries, because it usually disregards how competitive the match are (tricky to convey in text) but when these new flunkies aren't given names by their corporate overlords it's hard to argue. "Jobber" indeed doesn´t sound particularly good or positive term. Personally, I basically divide rosters to three groups: main eventers, midcard and jobber and the difference is how much I expect them to win (and against who, I don´t really expect midcarder to go over main eventer for example). So when I talk about jobbers, I basically mean that the guy in question is someone who I expect to lose unless he´s having a match against another jobber and who I don´t expect to get promo time. It doesn´t really make difference to me how competitive the guy is, if he keeps losing I do eventually consider him as jobber although closer losses do somewhat affect on how quickly I write someone off as jobber. You have done pretty good job of keeping those who appear regularly on your shows decently strong and/or giving them storylines and promo opportunities and as a result I have had hard time to label anyone as jobber. (4) Sayeed Ali vs Ian Identity (6) Thinking Ali should keep his chance to win this tournament until his last match and that likely means he need to win here (1) Skip Beau vs Running Wolf (4) So, I have pretty much narrowed the exiled person to Skip or Torque (gee, what a surprise, the two people with lowest score ) and I´m thinking that the Skip vs. Blockbuster is the deciding match, either Skip wins and stays (and ends Blockbuster´s chance to win the tournament in the progress) or he loses and gets exiled (and comes back later as changed person). Either way, I think he´s going to get character development in that last tournament match and that means he can lose here. (5) Dice Elderberry vs Bobby Thomas (6) So looks like I was wrong about Dice being the one who gets exiled, it´s still possible of course but bit doubful on that. Still, I don´t see him getting much more points so Bobby gets more points which makes him real contender for the win of this tournament (which earns a big cheer from me) (6) Blockbuster vs Torque (2) Following what I said about Skip, Torque is the "back-up" plan for me as far as who´s going to get exiled. Less sure of were that would lead as he has good team with Greaser going (once Greaser gets back from his postal trip) but since I rather see Torque exiled than Wolf or Ali (who are next closest on points looking at the bottom) I would keep that option open plus I don´t see Torque having enough to get over Blockbuster anyway. Self
I appreciate you working to get the Power House trainees all on the same page! It was always my goal to give the Power House guys something to do. To bring them back into the company and put them on the cards. The longer this goes the more they're becoming the new DeColts, who the company is focused on inside the ring and behind the curtain. What is the IN-GAME gimmick for The Great Trickerion/Kip Keenan I created a gimmick for him. Magician. Gimmicky with fairly high difficulty and low subtlety. I don't create too many custom gimmicks, but sometimes there's nothing in the default database that fits. Angry Dad. Self Proclaimed Feminist. Delivery Drone. Self
Sunday Week 1 July 2019 Late Evening on Maple Leaf Sports Sherbrooke, Quebec 4,088 in attendance IN-RING ZEUS MAXMILLION You were wrong, demon. Last week Hugh Ancrie sent his hordes down upon me, in an attempt to steal the CGC World Championship, but I did not lose. I was saved by the mortal heroes of CGC. The Lords of Vegas. Ian Identity. Bobby Thomas. Noble heroes who I am proud to call my friends. Through their strength and bravery and friendship they prevented the villain Ancrie's treachery and I remain the CGC World Champion. Does this not show you the wonders of humanity, demon? Does this not inspire you to take the mortals into your heart; to learn from them? DIABLO DeVILLE I don't need them and neither do you. If you had unleashed me last week I could have torn the Deliverer's Drones limb from limb in the blink of an eye. Short will be your reign, 'mighty' Zeus, if you rely on the fickle whims of mayflies to protect you. They are pathetic. And weak. You will fall and I will laugh. As much as it would pain me to be trapped in this title belt at the beck and call of a filthy mortal... at least it's better than being bound to a naive half-blood Champion like you. ZEUS MAXMILLION I was once like you, demon. There was a time I failed to see to glory of humanity. I have learned otherwise, and while you are cursed to be by my side I would have you learn the same. I offer you a bargain. I challenge you to do battle with me in two weeks at 'Ultimate Showdown'. If you beat me; this title that imprisons you becomes yours. You will be your own master, CGC World Champion, free to bask in all of the havok you can wreak. But if I win... You let me show you the wonders of humanity. DIABLO DeVILLE Why risk your title? You could just order me to do this. ZEUS MAXMILLION I will not treat you as a slave, Diablo DeVille. You can be greater. You can be more. I give you the choice. DIABLO DeVILLE Then you spell your doom. At Ultimate Showdown I will feast upon your suffering, take your title, and begin a reign of terror the likes of which these foolish mortals have never seen. And it will be all your fault. ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN SERIES MATCH (5) DICE ELDERBERRY VS BOBBY THOMAS (6) Jack DeColt "It's do-or-die time for the fighters in the Ultimate Showdown Series. A win for either man jumps them to the top of the table." Bobby uses hard work and determination to try to chop the giant down to size, but the clock is ticking and Dice uses his immense bulk to muscle him around. Dice locks in a Dragon Sleeper, confident that the powerful stench of his atrocious armpit will soon knock his opponent out, but forgets Bobby is a submission expert. He twists. He pivots. He's free! Super Kick! 1... 2... 3. BOBBY THOMAS WINS (7:39) (Dice Elderberry +0, Bobby Thomas +2) BACKSTAGE FAITH How could you??? Blockbuster was going to BusterBomb me last week! He could have killed me! And you did nothing! SAYEED ALI I was calling his bluff. There was no way Blockbuster had the guts to actually go through with it. You were in no danger. I was just waiting until he was distracted. FAITH Oh! So you'd rather get the points than help me? SAYEED ALI He wasn't going to do it. FAITH Because Shane Stones stopped him. SAYEED ALI No, sweetness. I stopped him. Shane only got involved after I stepped in. Look, you've had a traumatic experience. You can't trust your memory, but trust me. You're never in any danger as long as I'm around. /w Faith (4) SAYEED ALI VS IAN IDENTITY (6) /w Jenny Jack DeColt "Jenny Playmate has been trying to convince Faith that Sayeed Ali is a bad boyfriend, so she's inserted herself into Ian's corner tonight." Identity is fired up with Intense forearms and incredible dropkicks! Terrified of the Incapacitator (Double Underhook Armbar) Sayeed flees outside, where he can use the environment to his advantage. Referee Shane Stones demands the match return to the ring. Inverted Atomics! Intrepid Arrow (Arrow Suplex)! 1... 2... Sayeed kicks out but immediately finds himself in the Incapacitator (Double Underhook Armbar)! Ali screams in pain! He can't escape! Faith is uncertain. She's not sure whether she should help... but attacks Jenny and throws her into the barricade! Ian releases the hold to confront her. Big mistake. East Coast Forearm! GBH Driver (Implant DDT)! 1... 2... 3. SAYEED ALI WINS (8:58) (Sayeed Ali +2, Ian Identity +0) Sayeed Ali flees quickly, dragging Faith behind him, yelling at her for waiting so long before helping. BACKSTAGE HUGH ANCRIE Family is important. Family nurtures you. Family forgives. And now that you're part of the Express Delivery team, I want to let you in on something... We are not your family. Hugh Ancrie lays out Delivery Drone #1 (the bald one) with the Collector's Stamp (Mafia Kick) and LaGrenier puts him in a box. HUGH ANCRIE He was supposed to be watching Trickerion last week! His screw up cost me- cost Express Delivery the CGC World Title. You guys think you're special? You think you aren't replaceable? There are a million unemployed wannabe wrestlers out there just begging to be in your spot! Don't believe me? DELIVERY DRONE #5 Hi everyone. My name is- Woah! What happened to that guy? PHILIPPE LaGRENIER Lords of Vegas are getting a rematch for our tag team titles at 'Ultimate Showdown'. Ze Great Trickerion is out there, laughing at us, making ze Express Delivery brand look weak. You're going to send him back to Las Vegas. Or else. DELIVERY DRONE #3 & #4 LORDS OF VEGAS Gnaw & The Great Trickerion Jack DeColt "The Lords of Vegas absolutely deserve a rematch for the tag team titles, and I'm glad they'll be getting one in two weeks, live on Pay-Per-View at the Ultimate Showdown Finals." The Great Trickerion amazes and astounds with fantabulous illusions, cutting the ring in half and escaping the Delivery Drone's hapless attempts to stamp him. #3 manages to briefly post him, but Gnaw makes the save with feline ferocity and mighty murder mittens. A tiger suplex launches the tiny Drone #4 out of his boots! The Feast (STF with Biting)! Drone #3 taps! LORDS OF VEGAS WIN (7:17) Drone #2 and #5 charge in to try to blindside Trickerion, but he runs them into each other and the Lords make their victorious escape. (1) SKIP BEAU VS RUNNING WOLF (4) Jack DeColt "Running Wolf has made a smart decision to focus on the Series instead of his search for his ancestor's magic, weather-controlling tomahawk." Skip tries every (legal) trick in the book to distract the Native American Detective, but Wolf is hyper-focused on victory. Tomahawk Chops! Big Back Body Drop! He lifts Skip on his shoulders for the Wolf Tamer (Fireman's Carry Slam)... A drop of rain hits the canvas.... and another... and another. Soon the ring is being deluged by a downpour of rain! Running Wolf drops his foe and frantically searches around for who could be causing the supernatural shower. Skip rolls him up! 1... 2... 3! SKIP BEAU WINS (6:04) (Skip Beau +2, Running Wolf +0) The rain stops and Running Wolf heads into the crowd, searching for who could have controlled the weather like that. Skip is equally baffled, but happy to celebrate his two points. TWO WEEKS AWAY LIVE ON PPV CGC World Title: Diablo DeVille vs Zeus Maxmillion © CGC Tag Team Titles: Lords of Vegas vs Express Delivery © ... and the final four matches of the Ultimate Showdown Series IN-RING BLOCKBUSTER Listen up, shrimp. I'm gonna- TORQUE No way. You listen up, lurch. There's only one man who's gonna steamroll through and win the Ultimate Showdown Series, and you're looking at him. Do the smart thing. Lay down. Or I break you against these turnbuckles. BLOCKBUSTER I... What the hell are you doing? TORQUE I ain't asking again, dweeb. (6) BLOCKBUSTER VS TORQUE-BUSTER (2) Jack DeColt "Whatever Torque is doing, it's making Blockbuster mad. Could be a good strategy." Torque mimics his opponent by thrashing, shredding, and beating him like a drum, but it's like head-banging a brick wall. Once the initial shock and fury wears off, Buster is able to overpower and beat down the bite sized biker, taking his sweet time to do so. "60 seconds remaining" Blockbuster panics and Torque fires back. Flying Thrash! Springboard Shred! Rapid-fire-beat-like-a-drum! He tries a BusterBomb (Powerbomb into Turnbuckles) but is hoplessly overpowered. Blockbuster goes for one of his own but Torque counters with a hurancanranna that sends the Heavy Metal Mauler flying into the buckles! Roll up! 1... 2.... Kicks out at the very last moment! Torque tries Pedal to the Metal (Curb Stomp) but Buster powers him up and catches him in mid-air! BusterBomb!!! 1... 2... 3! BLOCKBUSTER WINS (8:41) (Blockbuster +2, Torque +0) Blockbuster is victorious, but not done. Incensed at the imitation, he picks Torque up and- IAN IDENTITY charges in out of nowhere and takes Blockbuster down into the Incapacitator (Double Underhook Armbar). Blockbuster screams in pain and- Security rush in before he taps to pull Identity away. Jack DeColt "With each competitor only having two matches left apiece, things are getting desperate in the Ultimate Showdown Series. Identity is frustrated, and he takes on Blockbuster next week!" <table width="40%"><tr><td width="50%" align="left" valign="center"> 1. Bobby Thomas 1. Blockbuster 3. Sayeed Ali 3. Ian Identity 5. C- 0.72 rating on Maple Leaf Sports A poor show that Maple Leaf Sports aren't happy about. The Ultimate Showdown Series always tends to have one of these. I tend to book with only the main event and one angle in mind, but the rest of the card does count, and I'm assuming that's what dragged my final rating down. I love the Ultimate Showdown Series, and the sports-based everyone-fights-everyone league structure, but it's really more of a midcard affair. Jack DeColt & Dan DaLay would elevate it, but wouldn't lose. Less fun to write, but Maple Leaf Sports would be happy. Delivery Drone #1 is boxed up and sent packing. Sky King did nothing wrong. This is just what the Drones are to Express Delivery. Disposable. King is too expensive to be a long term job guy anyhow. I just brought him in for a short spell because I'm fond of him. TEW 2020 feels like it's still far off, but if I count the Sundays, I don't have too many left. Maybe Eight if no delays? So I need to start thinking about how I'm ending this thing. And maybe ending my time writing CGC entirely. This has all felt like a swan song for me, and every time I start one of these I find myself yearning for a product with more workrate, more variance, and that lends itself to more complex storytelling. Proof-reading this episode, I was bummed out how little sense it makes if this was the first episode someone read. Next Week... Proof-reading this episode, I was bummed out how little sense it makes if this was the first episode someone read. Honestly, would really like to see your take on TCW then. More workrate, still needs storylines, more complexity if you want that and still has the underdog feel that CGC has. Maybe for 2020, I'd certainly read another Self project. (8) Blockbuster vs Ian Identity (6) Ian gets my vote purely because we saw him put Blockbuster in the Incapacitator this week, I'm sure it will affect Buster's performance next week (6) Sayeed Ali vs Dice Elderberry (5) Ali needs this a little more, Dice can take a loss here as well to make the bottome that bit interesting (4) Running Wolf vs Torque (2) Think Wolf gets distracted again this week, while becomes Torque Wolf, imitating his opponent again this week, but it gets him the W this time. (3) Skip Beau vs Bobby Thomas (8) Think Bobby will find a way to beat Skip, not sure how though. USS Table after this: Bobby 10 Ian 9 Ali 8 Buster 8 Dice 5 Wolf 4 Torque 4 Skip 3 With one more fight after this to go, this allows anybody from Buster up to win and anybody from Dice down to be banished. Zergon
(8) Blockbuster vs Ian Identity (6) I do like DAVEFAN95´s logic and the situation it would lead in terms of tournament standings but I go with Blockbuster here as he was your former champion and thus I feel he should have decently strong showing while I still rate Ian as midcarder though he seems to be higher on the pecking order now than what he was before his trip in the box. (6) Sayeed Ali vs Dice Elderberry (5) Ali picks up a win in order to keep himself in the hunt for the top spot. (4) Running Wolf vs Torque (2) This one I could see going either way and I actually did check who their next opponents would be in order to try figure out the winner but that wasn´t much help either (if my math is right, Torque will face Ian while Wolf will clash with Dice and I could see both those matches going either way). In the end, I think I follow my idea of Skip needing the win against Blockbuster and while that could easily happen even if Torque loses here (all that is needed is Torque to have his last match before Skip) I do feel that setting the wheels in motion here would give interesting angle for the finals earlier and thus go against Wolf here, despite my heart telling me otherwise. (3) Skip Beau vs Bobby Thomas (8) Bobby picks up the win here in order chase the top spot while loss will still keep Skip in the danger zone. Delivery Drones vs Lords of Vegas & Woolabonga Bogans Drones won´t be winning any matches but that´s not really why they are here either. Regis
(8) Blockbuster vs Ian Identity (6) This pick is wrong. I know it's wrong. But damn it all, I want Ian to win! (6) Sayeed Ali vs Dice Elderberry (5) Sayeed is just the worst, but it seems to be working out for him so far. Free Faith! (4) Running Wolf vs Torque (2) See ya, Mimic. (3) Skip Beau vs Bobby Thomas (8) The Eternal Everyman is on the rise. Delivery Drones vs Lords of Vegas & Woolabonga Bogans The eternal pains of the gig economy.
