Bull Wrecker hit the Body Slam, and Mutant looked to bounce of the rope to hit his Splash and complete the move. Unfortunately for Mutant, Haley Buck chose this moment to hop onto the apron and the 22-year-old collided with The Ring Generals manager, sending her crashing to the floor.</div></div></div><br /></li><li><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">Seeing what had happened, Mutant looked incredibly distressed and immediately stopped what he was doing and slid out of the ring to check on Haley Buck. <p>Justice Jolson is an interesting choice, but with his name he fits well into the Doc’s Jailbirds group. </p><p> </p><p>

So what exactly was Riley’s end of the bargain with Dr O’Haire? Or is that part of the surprise ahead?</p><p> </p><p>

Bulldozer should have gone to a cage match with Honest Frank. Not that it could have stopped the clever vet, but it might have been more difficult. I’m telling you Frank is going to make a solid manager.</p><p> </p><p>

Who’s going to stop Art Reed? If Bulldozer is in another feud with Frank and Company, who will step up? Another outsider?</p><p> </p><p>

In previous TEW games he has been a top guy for me in multiple saves, but it seems in this version he's just too unreliable. I still love me some Remmy, so I though a one night deal hoping for a good night would be worth the risk. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prediction Contest - First Round</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read and predict on 'Rush Hour'. I always enjoy seeing everyones thought and reading your comments on my booking, it really does help keep this fun for me - so thank you.</p><p> </p><p>

The match that seemed to throw people in this round was the BBS/Frank No Rules match. Most people expects BBS to win this one and end the feud, but the introduction of Scythe swang this one back into Frank's favour! <strong>jameschaos</strong> was the only predictor with a perfect score in this round and earns himself a point on the leaderboard.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Prediction Results after 'Rush Hour'</strong></p><p> </p><p>

1 point = jameschaos </p><p> </p><p>

This round of predictions will run until 'Gang Wars' (July in game), so there are still 6 more shows to go. I hope to see you all back for predictions on 'Battle For New York'! Expect the card up in the next 24 hours.</p>

I entered February's Creative Meeting in great spirits. 'Rush Hour' had been our best show to date, we'd moved on a number of key storylines and it had been a hit with the fans. We'd even managed to beat PSW's offering this month, although we still didn't win the Regional Battle as RIPW's put on a C rated show this month on the back of Andre Jones winning the RIPW Championship from Spencer Spade in the Main Event. There was a lot of talk that this was a pre-cursor to Spade's long awaited call up to the main roster. The kid deserved it, Spade and Jones had no business being in developmental. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

My good spirits quickly dissipated when I entered our meeting room and saw the look on Larry Vessey's face. I had hoped the success of 'Rush Hour' would temper Larry's views on my signing of Remmy Skye, it had not. Larry chewed me out for a good fifteen minutes about bringing 'that druggie' into his company. I jumped in to point out Remmy and Art's match had been our 2nd best match since I took the book, this was a mistake. Larry told me that Remmy was not in the 'NYCW mould', and that I needed to get my act together. I looked to Steve for support, but Steve shook his head slightly as an indication to leave this one.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Larry's mood seemed to improve slightly as I talked him through my plans for this months show. Our Main Event would see Art Reed/Steve Flash II. In December, the two veterans put on our best match of 2016 and I was hoping that they could go even better second time around! This seemed much more in keeping with Larry's view of NYCW, so calmed him a little... for now.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

January had ended with the good news that the latest PGHW tour had been completed, and that both Art Reed and Bulldozer Brandon Smith had made it through without injury. Both men's bodies were hurting from the schedule, so I was hoping the time off would allow them to heal up. The last thing I wanted was for either of them to get injured. However, we also had the bad news from </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Animal Harker that he was going to need some time off to heal from his cracked sternum</strong></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">. He would be missing at least one show for us, most likely two, and the rest of the current BCG tour. I felt sorry for the guy, the timing couldn't be worse. He was right in the middle of building his new team with Jebediah for us, and I know he loves travelling over to Japan. I'd have to rethink my plans for Jebediah, I couldn't shelve the big guy for two months waiting for Harker.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

In National news, the SWF surprised everyone this month by resigning Jim Force from USPW! The 42 year old hasn't been seen in the SWF for over 17 years, but the current USPW Tag Team Champion is expected to redebut on SWF TV before the months out once he has finished up his dates with USPW. 'The Force' has been booked strongly by USPW over the past 12 months, and this was a further knock for the company after their surprise fall to 'Cult' status at the start of 2016, but at 42 years old, surely Force's best years are behind him?</div></div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="ZzlO9z1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZzlO9z1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>

NYCW Presents Battle For New York

Live from Pennsylvania Park

Saturday W2 February 2017

February will see two veterans of the ring 'Battle For New York' as Steve Flash gets his rematch against NYCW Empire Champion, Art Reed. Art Reed has looked unstoppable, still yet to be pinned or submitted in his eight months in NYCW, but did we see the first chinks in his armour at 'Rush Hour' as he was pushed to the absolute limits by the unorthodox style of Remmy Skye? As Steve Flash enters the 33rd year of his career can he win a record fifth NYCW Empire Title, or will Art Reed be able to cinch in his feared Dread Lock and keep his unbeaten run going?

Prisoner No. 6 will also defend his Tri-State Regional Title against Amish brawler, Jebediah. Back at 'Ground Zero' Jebediah looked to have Prisoner No. 6 beaten, but was tricked by Doctor O'Haire and Prisoner No. 6 was able to sneak away with his title in tact. Then last month Prisoner was able to pin Doctor O'Haire in a tag team match that also included the Tri-State Regional Champion. Prisoner No. 6 had dominated all comers in the first eleven months in New York, with the inmate seemingly toying with most of his opponents. However, has Doctor O'Haire's patient finally met his match in the 6'11 Amish brawler?

Elsewhere on the card, we will hear from Haley Buck after her injury last month ahead of her clients Open Challenge. Bulldozer Brandon Smith will also be in the building after his loss to Honest Frank at 'Rush Hour' due to the interference of the debuting Scythe. We should hear Smith's reaction to last months events and see the in-ring debut of “The Dark Reaper” Scythe. Be sure not to miss it!

Art's a good wrestler, and whilst I still don't think you have enough top faces there's no reason for Steve to win the title back yet

I could see this going the other way but I feel like it's time for Prisoner to move up the card and challenge for a main event spot

NYCW Battle For New York

Live from Pennsylvania Park

Saturday, Week 2, February 2017

Audience: 2,000 (SELL OUT!)

http://i.imgur.com/vbRN0Ik.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/VCCQQz1.jpg

Announce Team:

Rock Downpour & Ernie Turner

Rock Downpour
and
Ernie Turner
welcome us to Battle For New York. They hype tonights blockbuster Main Event, which sees Steve Flash's rematch for the NYCW Empire Title he lost to Art Reed in December. That match was widely considered to be the best in NYCW history, can the pair top it tonight? Ernie Turner once again ponders on commentary if Steve Flash had seen anything in last months Main Event between Art Reed and Remmy Skye that may help the 50 year old win what would be a record FIFTH NYCW Empire Title?

We open the night with the NYCW Empire Champion making his way down to the ring. Art Reed does not look happy, and tells the crowd that he's heard a lot of talk over the past month. Talk that last months Main Event had somehow changed things, that Art Reed showed some 'cracks' in his armour. Reed is out here to remind everyone that he is STILL yet to be pinned or submitted in NYCW, and that 'Rush Hour', just like every other show, ended with Remmy Skye tapping out to the Dread Lock. Reed tells us that nothings changed and that once the Dread Lock is applied, everybody still taps.

The crowd pop as the 50 year old, former COTT World Heavyweight Champion, Steve Flash pushed through the curtain. Flash tells Reed that, despite all his talk, he knows deep down that the Main Event at 'Rush Hour' DID change things. Steve Flash told Art Reed that he had watched the match closely and that he has seen a weakness that he hadn't seen in their previous encounters. Flash tells “The Pure Athlete” that people called 2016 his 'career year', but Flash says he is far from 'done'. After Flash beats Reed tonight to become a record FIVE time Empire Champion, Flash will go on to an even better 2017.

Change In The Air?

Involved: Art Reed & Steve Flash

Rock Downpour: “Strong words from both men. We look set up for a huge Main Event tonight!”

Ernie Turner: “Has Steve Flash really seen a weakness in Art Reed? Reed has been so dominant since coming to New York.”

Rock Downpour: “Steve Flash has been wrestling for over three decades. What he doesn't know about this sport isn't worth knowing. If anyone can see a weakness that no-one else can Steve Flash is the man!”

  • We saw Scythe make his shock debut last month at 'Rush Hour', when he interfered on behalf of Honest Frank to cost Bulldozer Brandon Smith their No Rules match. Honest Frank accompanied Scythe to the ring in a manager-type role for this one.

  • On commentary, Rock Downpour plays up the sheer size and physicality of Scythe. Would Brandon Smith be able to get through “The Dark Reaper” to get to Honest Frank? And would the Bulldozer even want to after the treatment he was on the receiving end of at 'Rush Hour'?

  • This was a hugely one sided contest, which largely consisted of Scythe throwing his Cruiserweight opponent around the ring.

  • Scythe once again showed off his huge Chokeslam to end the match with a statement.

Max Mayhem vs Scythe

Rock Downpour: “That was a statement from Scythe and Honest Frank.”

Ernie Turner: “It sure was! They'll be hoping Brandon Smith was watching closely!”

Rock Downpour: “I think it's fair to say he was! Here he comes!”

Bulldozer Brandon Smith sprinted down towards the ring and made a beeline for Honest Frank. Smith was able to land one solid right hand before Scythe was able to slide out of the ring to intercept. Honest Frank scrambled behind his Big Heavyweight client and hid from the Bulldozer. Smith didn't seem interested in fighting Scythe tonight, and instead grabbed a mic to address the retreating Honest Frank and Scythe.

Smith called after Frank that he can run tonight, but that things weren't over between them. Honest Frank didn't look particularly happy at how his evening was panning out and began frantically waving towards the curtain. It was unclear if this was pre-planned or if Whitehorse Whittaker had simply been near the curtain at an opportune moment, but one-half of the tag team champions stomped out from behind the curtain and, with much encouragement from Honest Frank, made a beeline for the ring. It looked like we had a match!

A Raging Bull

Involved: Honest Frank, Scythe & Bulldozer Brandon Smith

Rock Downpour: “Honest Frank may have got one over on Smith last month, but now he's got to deal with a raging bull!”

Ernie Turner: “Frank's found some great protection in Scythe, but I'm not sure even he will be enough to keep the Bulldozer away!”

  • Whitehorse Whittaker is a big man in his own right, but he found himself up against an angry Bulldozer Brandon Smith here. Bulldozer laid into his opponent with heavy forearm strikes and Lariats. Once he had worn Whittaker down a little he broke out the Japanese-style Suplexes he had picked up during his time in the East.

  • While Whittaker only had small pockets of offence in this match, it was clear that these two had great chemistry in the ring. Their styles just really seemed to gel, and it made for a great spectacle.

  • Bulldozer Brandon Smith put the exclamation point on a hugely impressive performance by nailing his Bulky Heavyweight opponent with a Tombstone Piledriver. Honest Frank may have slipped through Smith's fingers tonight, but the Bulldozer had sent a clear message in this performance.

Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs Whitehorse Whittaker

Rock Downpour: “A hugely impressive performance from Brandon Smith tonight. He lifted Whittaker into some of those Suplexes like he was a Cruiserweight!”

Ernie Turner: “And Whitehorse Whittaker is not a small man! It's amazing what a focused competitor can achieve, and right now Bulldozer Brandon Smith is laser focused on getting his hands on Honest Frank!”

  • The Fighting Irish had made a mixed start to their NYCW careers, with three wins and two losses as a team prior to this match. Although they did pick up a big win against former champions The Old School Patriots in their last outing as a team, so they knew a win tonight would put them right back amongst the contenders for the NYCW Tag Team Titles.

  • The young Canadian duo of LaGrenier & Ancrie had found life tough in New York, and were still looking for their first win as a team. They had looked good in most of their matches, but their inexperience had cost them in vital moments.

  • That was the story once again tonight, as the young Canadians kept up with their more experienced opponents for much of the match. However in the key moment Hugh Ancrie charged at Conner Threepwood, but his experienced opponent was able to drop the House of Stone graduate with a Drop Toe Hold. Threepwood immediately transitioned into his Stretch Plum submission hold, and LaGrenier found himself out of position to make the save for his partner in time.

The Fighting Irish (Conner Threepwood & Crocket Tubbs) vs The Canadian Connection (Philippe LaGrenier & Hugh Ancrie)

Rock Downpour: “The Fighting Irish back to winning ways in the past few months and throwing their names back into the hat for a title shot.”

Ernie Turner: “They've got to be top of the list in my book, Rocky! These boys are former three-time NOTBPW Tag Team Champions, they've got the pedigree!”

Rock Downpour: “But can they take down the powerhouse duo of The Boys From Yukon?”

  • Miller Fforde is out first, and once again the high energy youngster has his Go-Pro strapped around his head. New NYCW referee Matthew White doesn't look to keen to allow the youngster to wrestle with it on, but is eventually persuaded by Fforde under the condition that Headbutts are illegal. On commentary, Ernie Turner tells us that Miller would upload all of the footage from his Go-Pro to his insta handle @miller_fforde after the show. Rock Downpour is utterly bemused.

  • In contrast to the high energy, bubbly Miller Fforde, Brutus Milano slowly plodded his way down to the ring. This set the tone for the match, with the slow, plodding Milano trying to catch the high tempo Fforde to land his power moves.

  • Try as he might, aside from a few looooong, tedious rest holds, Brutus Milano just couldn't catch up to his smaller, faster opponent. Miller Fforde was able to hit his Fforde Flip Face Crusher (the flip is mostly unnecessary, but it makes for great footage!), and this one was over.

Rock Downpour: “How many followers does this kid have on this Instagram thing?”

Ernie Turner: “Oh not many... six or so I think.”

Rock Downpour: “Why would anyone go to this much effort to produce content for six people?”

Ernie Turner: “Hey, gotta start somewhere Rocky!”

Haley Buck is helped down to the ring by her clients, The Ring Generals, ahead of their open challenge. Haley is wearing a neck brace following her collision on the apron with Mutant last month that sent Buck crashing to the floor outside the ring. Haley Buck tells the crowd that she was still in pain following her fall last month at 'Rush Hour', but that The Ring Generals Open Challenge must go ahead. She didn't want to take the opportunity to win a guaranteed contract away from a hungry, young team. Haley told the crowd that she wanted to share this generosity with the New York public, so this month the team challenging for the guaranteed one year NYCW contract would be two New York residents!

Open Challenge Introduction

Involved: Haley Buck, Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler

Rock Downpour: “NYCW has always prided itself on the work it does with the local community, but looking at the two men she's found I can't help but think that Haley Buck may have an ulterior motive here...”

Ernie Turner: “I mean that guy looks like he's practically falling asleep...”

  • This was a very one sided affair, with the two local talents struggling to raise any effective offence against an experience and skilled team such as The Ring Generals.

  • Mercutio Sleep did the majority of the work for his team, with Lazy Joe spending most of the time looking incredibly tired on the apron.

  • The end of the match came when The Ring Generals noticed that Lazy Joe had actually nodded off for a quick power nap out on the apron, leaving Mercutio Sleep open to a two on one. One Wheelbarrow Bomb later, and this one was over.

  • Post-match Haley Buck commiserated Mercuitio Sleep & Lazy Joe, telling them that they could take solace in knowing that they had just been beaten by the best team in North America... and at least it wouldn't be a long journey home for them tonight. Haley then extended the challenge out to any team out there who thought they could beat her clients The Ring Generals. Haley told the crowd that her clients had proved that they WERE the best team in North America, so from next month they would be opening the challenge up to any team in the world!

The Ring Generals Open Challenge Match

Ernier Turner: “Much easier challengers for The Ring Generals this month. I don't know what street corner Haley Buck found those two on, but they clearly weren't up to scratch!”

Rock Downpour: “I worry that was exactly the point.”

  • The Old School Principals have struggled since losing the Tag Team Titles back in October, failing to pick up victory in their past three matches. They were looking to bounce back to winning ways against a team who are also desperate for a win, having not tasted victory since August.

  • This was a really open match, with the bubbly babyfaces trying to overwhelm the veterans with their high tempo offence and the OSP trying to slow the pace of the match down at all costs and using every trick in the book to do so.

  • The Masked Mauler would prove to be the difference in this match, with the Heavyweight brawler using his size and strength advantage to isolate Hawkeye Calhoun and lock in his Iron Claw. Rick Sanders was able to deal with Freedom Eagle on the outside, and the baseball loving youngster had no choice but to tap.

Brooklyn's Finest (Hawkeye Calhoun & Freedom Eagle) vs Old School Principals (Rick Sanders & The Masked Mauler)

  • Jebediah earned this title shot at 'Rush Hour' when, alongside his partner Animal Harker, he was able to defeat Prisoner No. 6 and Doctor O'Haire in tag team action – pinning Doctor O'Haire. Unfortunately for Jebediah, Animal Harker was injured during that match meaning that Jebediah came into this rematch alone.

  • Prisoner No. 6 on the other hand had even more support than normal. Doctor O'Haire led both Prisoner No. 6 and Justice Jolson down to the ring, wearing (as ever) the Tri-State Regional Title proudly around his waist. Justice Jolson had debuted at 'Rush Hour' in the brutal beat down of Riley McManus, who wouldn't be appearing on tonights show due to his injuries from that attack.

  • Prisoner No. 6 may have been a dominant Tri-State Regional Champion for eight months now, but once again he struggled to cope with the 6'11 300lb+ Amish brawler in this one. Jebediah threw right hand bombs that shook the inmate and pushed him onto the back foot.

  • Prisoner No. 6 was able to land shots of his own, but was growing visibly frustrated at his inability to turn the tide. Jebediah continued to throw right hand bombs, and even dropped Prisoner No. 6 to a knee with an impressive Big Boot.

  • Doctor O'Haire was visibly panicked at ring side, having never seen his patient in this position before. He shouted at Justice Jolson to 'get in there', and the Ripped Big Heavyweight responded.

  • Unfortunately for Jolson, Jebediah saw him coming and rocked the inmate with another heavy right hand. Seeing the interference, referee Matthew White had no choice but to call for the bell.

  • Jebediah looked devastated, as Doctor O'Haire frantically helped Prisoner No. 6 out of the ring and headed for the back.

Rock Downpour: “You've got to be kidding me! That's twice now Jebediah has had Prisoner No. 6 on the ropes and Doctor O'Haire has stopped the match short. Jebediah should be NYCW Tri-State Regional Champion right now!”

Ernie Turner: “Doctor O'Haire seems VERY fond of that belt, and seems willing to do whatever it takes to keep it around his waist.”

Rock Downpour: “It's not even his belt!”

As an exasperated Rock Downpour is letting out his frustrations on commentary, Doctor O'Haire suddenly realised that in his haste to get Prisoner No. 6 away from the ringside area he had left the NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Belt on the announce table! The Doctor made a mad dash for the belt, grabbing it from the announce table, but as he turned to run back to his patient he found himself face to face with Jebediah! The crowd popped as the 6'11 Amish brawler towered over a terrified Doctor O'Haire. The Doctor half heartedly offered Jebediah the belt as a peace offering, but Jebediah knocked the title from the Doctors grip. The cowering O'Haire looked in real trouble until Justice Jolson appeared on the scene and clubbed Jebediah from behind. Seeing his opportunity to escape, O'Haire desperately grabbed the title belt and scurried back to Prisoner No. 6 who was waiting by the curtain.

Jolson's attack had failed to take Jebediah off his feet, and the Amish brawler responded with another heavy-duty right hand. The two Big Heavyweights traded a series of heavy blows and looked evenly poised until another Big Boot from Jebediah rocked Jolson. With the inmate in trouble, Jebediah was able to hit his Sundown Splash. Doctor O'Haire looked on in complete shock as the 6'11 Amish Brawler stood tall over his 'deliverer of Jutice'.

Don't Forget The Gold!

Involved: Jebediah, Prisoner No. 6, Doctor Michael O'Haire & Justice Jolson

Ernie Turner: “Jebediah just handed out his own form of justice tonight! Doctor O'Haire can't believe what he's seeing!”

Rock Downpour: “It's just a shame Jebediah couldn't get his hands on O'Haire! I would have enjoyed seeing The Doctor squeal!”

  • This was a fantastic match, topping even their previous encounter as comfortably the best match NYCW has put on since I took the book.

  • While it could be argued that Steve Flash had approached his previous two encounters with “The Pure Athlete” too conservatively, due to his worry about Art Reed's Dread Lock, the same couldn't be said of the 50 year olds approach to this contest.

  • Flash went toe to toe with Reed, with the two men catching as catch can as they exchanged a series of holds in a technical display. Flash rounded off the early skirmishes by taking the champion down with a Side Russian Leg Sweep.

  • Sensing Flash was settling into a rhythm, Art Reed upped the intensity and began relying more on the stiff strikes and kicks he had perfected in Japan. This put Steve Flash onto the backfoot, and Art Reed quickly worked an opportunity to go for his patented Dread Lock.

  • However, Steve Flash was ready for him and was able to shift his weight to roll Art Reed up and get a two count.

  • Flash seemingly having found a counter for Art Reed's feared submission seemed to throw the champion, as Flash took control of proceedings with a big Suplex.

  • The champion looked to be in real trouble, as Flash stayed on top of him. Flash even hit a Float Over DDT and was milli-seconds from winning a record fifth NYCW Empire Title, but Reed just got the shoulder up.

  • Getting desperate, Reed went for a second Dread Lock. Once again Flash shifted his weight for the Roll Up, but this time Reed expected it and used his momentum to roll through. With Flash trying to regain his feet, he was easy prey for a Super Kick from “The Pure Athlete” that stunned the challenger.

  • Still reeling from the Super Kick, Flash wasn't able to fight off a third Dread Lock attempt and Reed cinched in the hold. Flash fought for a few seconds, but couldn't escape and had no choice but to tap out.

Rock Downpour: “Art Reed retains, but Steve Flash gave him a mighty scare tonight!”

Ernie Turner: “Oh no, Rocky. Not this again!”

The bell was ringing, but Art Reed was refusing to let go of his Dread Lock. Steve Flash was tapping furiously, but the champion was sending a message – clearly perturbed by Flash's show of resilience tonight. This was a side of “The Pure Athlete” we have seen many times since he joined NYCW in June, and nobody has found a way to break the Dread Lock.

Art Reed looked like he'd be keeping the hold applied all night, when Bulldozer Brandon Smith came tearing out from the back. Smith's quest to 'clean up' NYCW may have been solely focused on Honest Frank over the past few months, but the Big Heavyweight brawler wasn't going to let this one pass. “The Pure Athlete” saw Bulldozer coming and broke the hold in time to slide out of the ring just as Brandon Smith slid in. Bulldozer Brandon Smith stood protectively over Flash as he stared down a retreating Art Reed. The champion looked furious at the intrusion and returned Brandon Smith's stare.

Here comes the cavalry!

Involved: Art Reed, Steve Flash & Bulldozer Brandon Smith

Ernie Turner: “Bulldozer Brandon Smith with the save, and Art Reed looks furious!”

Rock Downpour: “The Bulldozer is on a mission to clean up NYCW, and I think Art Reed may have just made his list!”

Ernie Turner: “Art Reed, Honest Frank, Scythe... that list is getting longer by the minute!”

The Ring Generals vs Two Local Talents

[Open Challenge Match]

Because c'mon, why even?

I'll level with you here... I somehow completely forgot that I need to sign a new team this month and simmed straight through to the next show. It was only on the booking screen the penny dropped, so I had to hire two guys off the 'Hire Local' screen. My options were fairly limited, but Mercutio Sleep & Lazy Joe had a sleep theme going on so I ran with it. This show in general was a bit of a 'moving show' as the main developments were going to be in the Jeb/Prisoner storyline, but losing Harker meant I had to re-book so outside of the Main Event the show felt a bit light (creative wise, grade wise this was my joint best show since the start of the diary). Business should pick up again from next show as we move towards Gang Wars!

The Fighting Irish vs The Canadian Connection

Can't actually remember who the CC are, to be honest

The Canadian Connection are Philippe LaGrenier & Hugh Ancrie. They are two talented youngsters who I wish I could do more with, but I can't move their push past 'Opener' so they're currently stuck in jobberland for the tag division. I would like them to be much more than that one day - particularly LaGrenier who I really like.

Miller Fforde vs Brutus Milano

Seriously, why is Brutus still here?

I made a rule that I wouldn't fire any original talent unless they acted up backstage (I did break that rule for New York Doll after Borne acted up and got himself fired), so I've been waiting for Milano's contract to come up for a while - this is the same reason O'Logical lasted as long as he did. Luckily 'Battle For New York' was Milano's last outing, as his contract came up the day before 'March Madness'. My roster is very Heel heavy at the moment, so I won't be replacing him for now.

Steve Flash vs “The Pure Athlete” Art Reed ©

[NYCW Empire Title Match]

I think we get a DQ or CO with Steve winning but not getting the gold. This would build to a great 4th match down the road. A win by Reed kind of takes a another match out of the equation for quite some time.

I considered going this way, but I have other plans for Steve and I think this may have cheapened Reed's unbeaten schtick. I want the moment when someone ends Reed's streak to feel meaningful.

The Ring Generals vs Two Local Talents

[Open Challenge Match]

If this was ??? I might go for the upset

This is precisely why I didn't use a '???'. I try to reserve them for big new signings or 'surprise guests' with some name value to the readers - not jobbers.

Prediction Contest - Second Round

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to read and predict this month. I always enjoy seeing everyones thoughts and reading your comments on my booking, it really does help keep this fun for me - so thank you.

We actually had a four way tie this month, so everybody gets a point! Most people were expecting Jebediah to take the Tri-State Regional Title off of Prisoner No. 6 this month, which was interesting. Only Theheel picked the inmate to retain, although he missed the Main Event.

Prediction Results after 'Battle For New York'

2 points = jameschaos

1 point = 1PW Fan, Shifty425 & Theheel

This round of predictions will run until 'Gang Wars' (July in game), so there are still 5 more shows to go. I hope to see you all back for predictions on 'Battle For New York'! Expect the card up this evening (GMT).

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

March was an eventful month if you followed the pro-wrestling scene in Canada. </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Fans of NOTBPW received some good news as TotalExtremeWrestling.com announced that the company had risen back to 'National' size</strong></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">, following their fall to 'Cult' back in August. This news was followed by the inevitable hiring spree – and this was the start of the bad news for their Canadian Rivals CGC as NOTBPW poached two of CGC's top talents. Reigning Canadian champion and one half of the reigning tag team champions (with Joey Poison), Donte Dunn was the first man to go – leaving both titles vacant, and he was quickly followed by Main Eventer Christian Price. </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>As if things weren't bad enough for CGC, it was then announced that a DeColt would be leaving the company! </strong></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">Ricky DeColt was announced as the latest marquee signing for the juggernaut that was USPW. Their surprising fall to 'Cult' size had done little to halt the momentum of USPW, and Allen Packer's company still found themselves ranked number one in the world. While things looked rosy for USPW and NOTBPW, many commentators pondered whether this was the beginning of the end for CGC after losing three of their top stars and the unthinkable happening and one of the DeColt brothers abandoning ship.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

There was also news back in the US, as </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>TCW fell to 'Cult' size</strong></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">. They had long been struggling to match the standards of the SWF and USPW after losing a number of top talents in the second half of 2016, so this wasn't a huge surprise. The other big news in the world of American pro-wrestling this month was the long awaited return on Marc DuBois to the industry. There was no word if the former SWF 'can't miss prospect' had cleaned up his act, but there were clearly some concerns as nobody took the plunge as many would have anticipated. It will be interesting to see if anyone is willing to take the risk. Perhaps he could add some much needed star power to the depleted TCW or CGC rosters?</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Closer to home, NOTBPW's success had an effect on us too as Crockett Tubbs was offered a chance to return to the company where he had spent seven years previously. Crockett came to see me and was incredibly professional about things, agreeing to work one last date for us before moving back to Canada. Crockett had been a solid hand for me, and I would miss his experience in my tag team division, but I couldn't begrudge him taking this opportunity. I never wanted to be accused of trying to hold anyone back. I shook Crockett's hand, and mentally prepared myself to having to have the same conversation with Conner Threepwood in the next few days. However, the call never came. Whether NOTBPW didn't see the value of reuniting The Fighting Irish on TV, or Crockett had done enough in his run as Tri-State Regional champion to convince them he was a singles star I don't know, but for now it looked like Crockett would be heading up there as a singles wrestler.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

After the last minute panic of trying to secure talent the night of the show last month, I made sure to get my signings done early this month. Art Reed and Steve Flash had torn the house down in the Main Event last month, so I was willing to spend some money to keep the momentum going. Larry was already upset with me for letting Brutus Milano's contract run out, so what did I have to lose? We were finally back on top in the Regional Battle this month, and I didn't want to give that top spot up!</div></div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="ZzlO9z1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZzlO9z1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>

Things don't get any easier for “The Pure Athlete” this month, as he faces off against a man who held no less then TEN title belts during his time at TCW. At 'March Madness' Harry Allen looks to add the NYCW Empire Title to his collection. Art Reed remains unbeaten in New York, but can he keep up his record against a man who has won titles under the brightest lights and is less than two years removed from his TCW run?</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The NYCW Tag Team Titles will also be on the line as The Boys Of Yukon face off against former three-time NOTBPW Tag Team Champions 'The Fighting Irish'. I almost want to see Miller feud the Man Mountain to more or less toughen him up in the eyes of the old school NYCW audience. Not totally win per say but come out of it looking tougher than he is going in. I don't think he's taking the Tri-State strap yet.</p><p> </p><p>

I honestly have a soft spot for Rick. In other games(specifically the 2010 mod) he's often a Tri-State and tag team champion just because of how he can ground your midcard then. But this is Steve f'n Flash.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour hypes the arrival of Harry Allen, a TEN time champion during a seventeen year TCW career. Harry Allen was still on our TV screens as little as eighteen months ago, and now he was here in NYCW! Ernie Turner hyped the arrival of Allen as a real coup, and pondered whether the former TCW star was the man to end Art Reed's unbeaten streak!</div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Involved: Art Reed & Bulldozer Brandon Smith</span></div></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">The show kicked off with the NYCW Empire Champion making his way down to the ring. Unlike the commentary team, Art Reed didn't seem interested in discussing his opponent for tonight. Instead “The Pure Athlete” was more concerned about what happened at the end of 'Battle For New York'. Namely Bulldozer Brandon Smith “sticking his nose where it didn't belong”. Art Reed told Brandon Smith that he would let him off with a warning this once, but if he got involved in the champs business again he would have to remind him the feeling of being in the Dread Lock.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This drew Bulldozer Brandon Smith out from behind the curtain. The Bulldozer told Art Reed that if he thought that Smith was going to stand by and let Art Reed assault Steve Flash after the bell, then “The Pure Athlete” must be out of his mind! The Bulldozer reminded Art Reed that he had made a list of all those people who were destroying NYCW... and that last month Art Reed had got himself added to that list! Smith told Art Reed that he still had unfinished business with Honest Frank, but that perhaps it was time for Smith to expand his horizons? Art Reed didn't look happy with Smith's threat, as the Big Heavyweight pushed his way through the curtain to the back.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</span><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Ernie Turner:</strong></span><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> “Maybe not, but I've got to ask: Has Brandon Smith thought this through? Man Mountain Cahill was looking to send a message to The Aces Of Mayhem here, after two thwarted attempts to take them out. Despite being outnumbered, Man Mountain Cahill was able to swat away the attempts from Brooklyn's Finest to take him down. Brooklyn's Finest organised themselves and charged at Man Mountain Cahill together, but Cahill was able to grab both men by the throats and stop them in their tracks. With both men secured, he first pushed Freedom Eagle forcefully into the ropes and delivered a Big Boot as the patriot bounced back into the middle of the ring. This left Hawkeye Calhoun alone with Cahill, and the baseball loving babyface could do nothing to stop the Mountain Topper.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Ace Youngblood and Max Mayhem hit the ring, and before the Man Mountain could react they were on top of him. They went for the old high/low tactic, with Max Mayhem taking Cahill down at the knees while Ace Youngblood went high with a leaping Tomahawk Chop. NYCW Tri-State Regional Title</strong></div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

@miller_fforde had made a strong start to his NYCW career, with two wins in two matches. However, this month he faced the unbeaten NYCW Tri-State Regional Champion Prisoner No. 6. The New York Penitentiary inmate has faced his first real challenge since arriving at NYCW in the past few months, as the 6'11 Amish brawler Jebediah has rocked the champion and, if not for the actions of the champions therapist Doctor O'Haire, may have walked away with the title. However, @miller_forde was not 6'11 and 300lb+. The instagrammer looked excited for the challenge though, and ensured to get some good footage of the scary looking inmates during their entrance (all footage to be uploaded to @miller_fforde). Once the bell rang, Prisoner No. 6 was able to take the frustration of the past few months out on his Lightweight opponent. @miller_fforde was thrown around the ring, as Prisoner No. 6 manhandled his opponent. This was much more like the Prisoner No. 6 of 2016, as his opponent struggled to raise much offence at all. @miller_fforde was finally able to create some seperation and headed for the top rope (you can get some great footage up there), and attempted a Flying Crossbody. Unfortunately for the instagrammer, Prisoner No. 6 was able to catch Fforde in mid air and deliver a Body Slam. @miller_fforde was hauled back to his feet and sent crashing back to the mat with the Jail Break, and nobody kicks out from that! </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">Post-match, Justice Jolson and Doctor O'Haire joined Prisoner No. 6 and surrounded @miller_fforde. Luckily for the youngster, Jebediah appeared from the back with something to say to Prisoner No. 6. The 6'11 Amish brawler wasn't happy that Justice Jolson interfered in his title match last month and challenged Prisoner No. 6 to another match next month at 'Spring Showdown'. Doctor O'Haire jumped in and said that Jebediah had already had two chances to win the Tri-State Regional Title, and couldn't just demand a title shot whenever he felt like it. If Jebediah wanted another title shot, first he'd have to face some Justice!</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The Amish simpleton looked very confused by the Doctors words, as if he didn't follow along. Justice Jolson stepped forward in the ring, and realisation slowly dawned across Jebediah's face. “I fight him?” he asked. An exasperated Doctor O'Haire nodded, and Jebediah happily agreed and slid into the ring. The 6'11 Amish brawler went nose to nose with the Ripped Big Heavyweight, a spectacle that @miller_fforde was sure to capture on his Go-Pro having recovered in the ring, and we had a match booked for 'Spring Showdown'!</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

These were two men who had shared the ring many times in the past, Steve Flash was a 32 year pro and his opponent tonight had been going nearly as long with 29 years in the business. With 61 years of experience between them, I was expecting a beautifully sharp performance, but something just didn't quite click between these two. </div><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">Following Scythe's win, Honest Frank joins “The Dark Reaper” in the ring with a microphone. Frank tells us that he ws listening to Brandon Smith's conversation with Art Reed earlier in the night with great interest. Frank tells the Bulldozer that he had agreed with him right up until his last point: that the two of them had 'unfinished business'. Frank said that in his eyes business was very much finished between them, and he had no interest in stepping into the ring with Smith again. And now that he had Scythe by his side, there was nothing the Bulldozer could do to make him! </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This once again drew Brandon Smith out from the back, and said that there was no way that this was over after Frank's actions in their past two meetings. He had waited six months between their first and second meetings, and would wait as long as it takes to for his next chance to get his hands on Frank! </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Honest Frank just shook his head and said that it wasn't going to happen, and that Brandon Smith should just forget about Frank and focus all of his attention on his new problem: Art Reed. The Bulldozer told Frank that he would never just 'forget about him', and that Frank could hide behind his “Dark Reaper” as much as he wants, the Bulldozer would just have to find a way to make him come out and play.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Bulldozer Brandon Smith stayed out for his match with young Canadian, Philippe LaGrenier. LaGrenier has had a tough start to life in New York, but put in a great showing in this match up against a much larger, more established opponent. Bulldozer Brandon Smith did control large parts of this match as he delivered heavy duty Japanese-style Suplexes and Slams, but there were a few occassions where LaGrenier was able to turn the momentum in his favour with a well placed kick or a shoulder block to the knee to cut the big man down to size. However, the Bulldozer would always find his way back to his feet and run over his smaller opponent with vicious Lariats! Bulldozer showed off his incredible strength late in the contest, hoisting his young opponent up into a Stalled Suplex for 10... 20... 30 seconds! From here LaGrenier was easy pickings for the Tombstone Piledriver, and the Bulldozer picked up the victory against a game opponent.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Last month at 'Battle For New York' Haley Buck had announced that having proved themselves to be the (self-proclaimed) best team in North America, her clients Open Challenge was now going global. Haley Buck announced that she had scoured the globe to find the perfect team to challenge her clients in their first 'International' Open Challenge – all the way from Japan, Katoh & Freak! The crowd didn't seem to be aware of who the international challengers were, but they were certainly aware of Katoh Freak when he came through the curtain. The eye catching youngsters appearance was the talking point of this match, as The Ring Generals dominated their international challengers in very quick time. Dean Waldorf hit the Waldorf Salad Toss (Pop-Up Powerbomb) to end it after five minutes, but honestly it felt like The Ring Generals could have ended this at any time.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Post-match, Haley Buck got back on the microphone and declared the first 'International' Open Challenge a success. Haley couldn't wait to see what the rest of the worlds tag teams had to offer, and laid down another open challenge for next month at 'Spring Showdown'!</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

NYCW Tag Team Title Match</strong></div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This was a classic big team versus little team match up. The Fighting Irish were technicians, and used all of their skill to try and contain the power of their much larger opponents. The Boys From Yukon would have fits and bursts where they would overpower their smaller opponents, but the plucky Irishmen would always find a way to subdue their momentum. Just over 10 minutes into the contest, Crockett Tubbs had jumped on Howlin' Mad Mort's back to apply a Sleeper Hold. The wildman looked to be fading, but found a last reserve of strength to power backwards and drive Tubbs back first into the turnbuckle. Luckily for Mort he had driven his opponent back into The Boys From Yukon's corner, and Whitehorse Whittaker was able to make the tag.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

With Crockett Tubbs still down, Whittaker made a beeline for Conner Threepwood and delivered a forearm to Threepwood on the apron, sending his crashing into the guard rail at ringside. With Threepwood down, a tired Crockett Tubbs was left all alone and two on one against two much larger men. The Boys From Yukon hit their Tiiiiiiiiiiimber finisher, and Whitehorse Whittaker made the pin to retain their titles.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">Seemingly not satisfied with their victory, The Boys From Yukon continued their beatdown post match. With Conner Threepwood still down on the outside, Crockett Tubbs was defenceless against the burly Canadians. Whitehorse Whittaker hauled Tubbs to his feet and drove him shoulder first into the ring post. Tubbs yelped in pain as he held his shoulder, but was quickly pulled back to his feet by Howlin' Mad Mort only to be put back down with a Body Slam. Seemingly happy with their work, The Boys From Yukon delivered the final exclamation point: Tiiiiiiiiiiimber! </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

NYCW EmpireTitle Match</strong></div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Art Reed came into this match undefeated in NYCW, but tonight he was facing a man who up until a year and a half ago was competing on national television. Harry Allen had been a ten-time champion in TCW, including 3 All Action Titles, 2 Cruiserweight Titles, 4 Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles and one World Tag Team Championship reign. The cruiserweight had all the credentials to upset Art Reed tonight and add a NYCW Empire Title reign to his impressive list of accomplishments.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Harry Allen started this one hot, flying around the ring at a pace that belied his 39 years. Art Reed struggled to keep up in the early stages, as Harry Allen attacked him form all angles employing a 'stick and move' approach. Things looked to be going well for Allen as he headed to the top rope five minutes into this one, but as he looked to fly down at his opponent he was met with a Super Kick that nearly took his head off. Luckily for Allen that was Art Reed's first real offence of the match, so the Cowboy still had enough wherewithal to kick out at two.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

With Allen's momentum halted, the champion slowed down the pace of the match and began to work on his opponent targetting his neck and shoulder specifically. This tactic bought Reed success as he recovered from the initial assualt, but as Reed looked to increase the tempo himself a missed Clothsline opened up the opportunity for a Flying Forearm from Harry Allen to knock the champion to the mat. The momentum rushed back to Harry Allen and the comeback was on! Clothesline, followed by a Dropkick, followed by a Snap Suplex that left Reed down. Allen was rolling and looked pumped up as Reed hauled himself up in the corner, Allen charged and looked to drive shoulder first into the ribs of the champion... but “The Pure Athlete” was able to pull himself over the top rope to avoid the impact and send Harry Allen shoulder first into the ring post. Allen stumbled back into the middle of the ring clasping his shoulder (that Art Reed had worked on earlier in the match). The “Cowboy” was in so much pain, he didn't see Art Reed coming and before he knew it the champion had locked in his Dread Lock. Harry Allen struggled for a few seconds, but he was stranded in the middle of the ring and had no choice but to tap out.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Post match Art Reed looked like he was planning to keep the hold applied, but Bulldozer Brandon Smith pushed through the curtain. The Bulldozer didn't approach the ring, but his presence was enough to encourage Art Reed to break the hold. The Empire Champion and the Bulldozer engaged in an intense staredown, and neither man looked like he was willing to be the man to relent and break the tension.</div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Crockett & Conner were my main Face team and had the pedigree to take the belts off the big men, but Crockett got signed up by NOTBPW just before I could pull the trigger so required a change of plans. Losing The Fighting Irish does leave me light on faces in my Tag Team division, which is something I will have to look into.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="jameschaos" data-cite="jameschaos" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46984" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>@miller_fforde vs <strong>Prisoner No. 6 (C</strong>) w/ Doctor O'Haire<p> [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> miller 'aint there yet, love the gimmick</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Glad you're enjoying the gimmick! I tend to find Heel's easier to write than babyfaces (doesn't everyone? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) So I like throwing silly midcard babyfaces in every once in a while as they can be fun to write. I was worried about this gimmick fitting the NYCW product, but we'll see how Miller get's on!</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Theheel" data-cite="Theheel" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46984" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>Not on the prediction side, what is Larry’s deal with Milano? Only 1PWFan missed out, thrown by my International team. UI'm sure if he'd known who it was he'd have gone the other way haha! <p>I definitely wouldn't have said you needed a change in format, but actually, I really liked that. The colour is a great way to differentiate matches and angles, and I think the new-style match write-ups rather than bullet points are slightly easier to read.</p><p> </p><p>

Great show, as always!</p>
