With that being said, next month's card is going to be a little bit more self-aware of this and certainly harder to predict as a result. <p>I wouldn't worry about being predictable booking wise. Early in most games you tend to have to be as you build up your A-List guys. There's no use trying to build new stars if you don't have ANY stars. I've gone with my heart on one pick below with Mick Moretti - I know he wont win but in real life he's a good bloke. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

PWG Betrayed in the Pentagon results!

PWG was back in action with Betrayed in the Pentagon in front of another sold-out crowd at the Globe Theatre in mesmerizing Los Angeles, CA. The show ended with a series of three singles matches between arguably the top six wrestlers in PWG right now. REY FENIX handed Jeff Cobb a loss in an incredible bout with his FENIX Driver. His fellow Lucha Bro, PENTA EL ZERO M, hit David Starr with a Driver of his own Pentagon variety to put him down, and in our main event, Bandido pinned Jonathan Gresham with the 21 Plex to officially add a v2 defense to his reign and to defeat both of his fellow BOLA 2019 finalists. Wearing a mask must have been good luck on this night as the luchadors once again reigned supreme.

782 Fans - SELL OUT!

Show Rating: C-

wddRu5i.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpgw5u4RbI.jpg

Aramis defeated Flamita in 12:54 with La Estocada D

Little lucha opener to get everyone going. Nothing too crazy. Perhaps an upset win here for Aramis.

Ci24e76.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpgASp1n2u.jpg

Black Taurus defeated Rey Horus in 10:30 with the Infernal Suplex D

See above. The first win for Black Taurus in a while. He is pegged by many to be one of the next big lucha stars. Time will tell.

AJz9C5G.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpgGZ5MXo1.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpgJt1Daf7.jpg

Brody King defeated Darby Allin and Mick Moretti in 13:51 when King used the Gonzo Bomb on Moretti D+

A step up from the first two matches, but still nothing crazy. Interesting dynamic between these three. Nice win for Brody.

6xUJvN6.jpg2tmzADC.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpg5DJ8nLj.jpgHMbF6zy.jpg

Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent?) defeated LAX (Ortiz & Santana) in 14:43 when Taylor pinned Ortiz after the Strong Zero C

Very solid tag team action. That's two straight for the Best Friends, who might be eyeing a PWG World Tag Team Title shot down the line.

K6NQnew.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpgVesLcBi.jpg

REY FENIX defeated Jeff Cobb in 17:36 with the Fenix Driver B-

Great match. FENIX is one of the best in the world and put on a clinic with Cobb. Cobb is 2-1 after dropping the belt and this is his first loss since getting pinned by Bandido. Maybe he has a tough time wrestling luchadors?

XsaadZG.jpgcf5Z2ho.jpguSTADkE.jpg

PENTA EL ZERO M defeated David Starr in 16:52 with the Pentagon Driver B-

Many parallels to the previous match. Lucha Bro defeats non-masked opponent in a great match with their Driver finisher. Funny how things work out sometimes. Starr is 0-2 after a huge win over Marty Scurll at ASW 15, so wonder what's next for him.

PWG World Heavyweight Title: Bandido © defeated Jonathan Gresham in 19:46 with the 21 Plex (2nd defense) C+

A tad disappointing considering the quality of wrestlers in the match, but in no way bad. Perhaps they had a hard time following the back-to-back great matches that preceded them. Either way, Bandido has made it through both of his fellow BOLA finalists, and is going to be open for new challengers. FENIX and PENTA are at the top of the heap now, but as tag champions, it's unclear if they are going to be able to shift their focus to Bandido for a singles challenge. There may be a challenger or two lurking in the shadows, and we all know Bandido is a fighting champion.

Thanks to everyone for reading along! Sorry for the delay in posting. I just received my BOLA 2019 Blu-Rays yesterday so I cannot wait to watch the show. Real-world PWG just announced a new show for 12/20, and to be completely transparent a lot of what happens then is going to dictate how I do the rest of my booking since I am still very unclear on who they can/cannot use when it comes to AEW. I am pretty certain they can still use most of their roster, and the list of names who could make a surprise return to PWG (the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, PAC!) is so damn tempting that I might have to book something wacky myself if the real company doesn't do it. As for this show, I wanted to toss a show-named-after-a-wrestler into the mix as PWG did it last year with Smokey and the Bandido, so this whole show was built around PENTA getting the big win on Starr. I am toying with the idea of doing a Mystery Vortex show next, which, for those who don't know, is a surprise show where no names or matches are announced beforehand. I might make a fun little prediction post with the announcement and ask things like "predict one of the wrestlers who will be in the night's top rated match" or "predict who will be in the main event" just to open up the style a bit. Not sure. Anyway, thanks for reading and hope you are enjoying!

Mystery Vortex VII!

<hr color = green>

4638EMy.jpgMystery Vortex VII takes place on March 22nd!

<hr color = green>

Hi! For those who don't know, PWG has done six previous "Mystery Vortex" shows where the card is not announced beforehand and the fans don't even know the card once the show starts. It's all done by surprise! I wanted to try this approach in my game and have some fun with the predictions. I've already moved a month past the show in my game and have some fun stuff coming up. This should be an interesting round of predictions! Good luck!

Predictions

PWG Mystery Vortex VII, 3/22/20

Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

Card will not be announced in advance!

The main event will be a singles match. It may or may not be for the PWG World Heavyweight Title. Guess the participants and the winner. One point for each correct guess.

The semi-main event is a three-way match. Guess the participants and the winner. One point for each correct guess.

A UK-based talent makes their PWG debut on this show. Guess who it is.

How many title matches will there be? Zero, one, or two?

<p>PWG Mystery Vortex VII results!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><div style="background-color:#24783F;color:#000000;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"></p><img alt="MB0XPi8.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MB0XPi8.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> PWG returned to the Globe Theatre in regal Los Angeles, CA on March 22nd with <strong><span style="color:#008000;">Mystery Vortex VII</span></strong>. A night of surprises ended with a wild duel between the Lucha Bros, as PENTA EL ZERO M and REY FENIX battled in one of the best PWG matches in recent memory (and the best match of this journal so far). REY FENIX came out on top after a vicious Black Fire Driver. Brody King won a three-way match in the semi-main event, defeating two recent challengers to Bandido's PWG World Heavyweight Title. He's certainly in line for a shot. Speaking of Bandido, The Most Wanted himself was given a much needed night off, while his MexaBlood partner defeated the debuting Michael Oku, better known as The OJMO, an up-and-coming UK talent out of RevPro. David Starr got back to his winning ways, picking up a critical win over Darby Allin. </p><p> <hr color=green></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><img src="</p><a href="https://i.imgur.com/PhfjPAG.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/PhfjPAG.jpg"</a> style="border:indigo 4px solid;" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="color:#008000;">PWG Mystery Vortex VII</span></strong>, 3/22/20</p><p> Globe Theatre, Los Angeles, CA</p><p> 782 Fans - <strong><em><span style="color:#FFD700;">SELL OUT!</span></em></strong></p><p> Show Rating: <strong><span style="color:#FFD700;">C</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Ci24e76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ci24e76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cf5Z2ho.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cf5Z2ho.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8xZbfUt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8xZbfUt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Black Taurus defeated Jungle Boy in 12:53 with the Infernal Suplex <strong><span style="color:#FFA500;">D-</span></strong></p><p> <em><span style="font-size:8px;">Fun opener, nothing crazy. As you obviously know, a lot of people are working from home in light of this COVID-19 scenario. I'm one of them. I am fortunate enough to be young and healthy so I'm mostly playing video games and watching wrestling. With NJPW on hiatus, I've gotten back into my PWG shows and wanted to return to this game. Hope you are all able to do the same and are staying safe!<p> </p><p> Not a particularly crazy show to dive back with, as I really didn't do anything too wild with the AEW guys. Looking at what real-life PWG is doing, the focus seems to be more on the up-and-coming guys, while the AEW crew (Lucha Bros, Janela, Allin, etc.) haven't been around since BOLA. Not too sure where to go in the game, but I have some ideas and am hoping you read along more.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="XrY8g8E.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XrY8g8E.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy. Unfortunately I am all too near a outbreak epicentre which has made my life significantly more difficult given I care for someone with Leukaemia. In good news an existing anti HIV drug and an anti malaria drug have been found to be effective and are being rolled out across Australia now into 50 Hospitals - if they prove to be effective on a wider scale this whole thing may end much sooner than feared given how long it would take to develop a vaccine. Make sure you all take care of yourselves and your loved ones everyone.
