What wrestling shows are you keeping up with?

As the topic title says, which shows are you watching?

I’m watching:

NWA Powerrr

Impact

AEW Dynamite

NXT

I occasionally watch Raw and Smackdown if there are intriguing match ups but the shows have been lack luster for awhile. Excluding NXT Smackdown from this past Friday of course.

I need to find time to get back into New Japan, but their shows are just so long it’s hard to squeeze them in. I’ll find a way to make it fit if Shibata ends up cleared to return though.

<p>I only really make time to watch AEW.</p><p> </p><p>

I want to watch MLW but theres so many things that hold me back but so many things that intrigue me. </p><p> </p><p>

NXT is on the same time as AEW so I choose AEW because NXT aint on the network anymore. (and i cant stand watching wrestling/sports when its not live)</p><p> </p><p>

New Japan Pro Wrestling is definetly my favorite wrestling show in terms of Wrestling but i just have so much fun watching AEW.</p><p> </p><p>

Ive caught the first few episodes of NWA live but besides the first episode i have not been having a good time with NWA.</p>

<p>I just mainly watch MLW.</p><p> </p><p>

I will catch RAW, Smackdown, NXT, and AEW during commercial breaks when I am watching other stuff. But I would not go out of my way to watch any of them.</p><p> </p><p>

Part of me thinks that I am just not interested in wrestling anymore. But then again I love MLW and I even bought their PPV, which was the first wrestling PPV I have bought going back to the dying days of WCW (I do get the Network every year in January just for the Royal Rumble so I guess my statement is not entirely true but I would also get it for NXT as well as the Rumble.).</p>

<p>I'm keeping up with AEW and NXT in the sense that I'm reading the results and enjoying the competition... but im not watching it beyond two AEW Dark matches. Which were meh. I spent a few years in the indy scene and Wrestling lost its lustre after I learned the mechanisms. I cant lose myself in it. </p><p> </p><p>

Mostly I just feel tired watching it. So much running.</p>

<p>WWE (In order of preference NXT, NXT UK, Raw=SD)</p><p>

AEW</p><p>

STARDOM</p><p>

Tokyo Joshi</p><p>

Gatoh Move (on Youtube, mostly old Shida/Emi Sakura/Riho matches and anything with Mei Suruga, Antonio Honda and the new rookies)</p><p>

New Japan & DDT (I only watch parts of major shows like WK, G1 Climax, Ultimate Party)</p>

<p>I cancelled my WWE Network subscription. Outside the main, big PPV's (Rumble, Mania and Summerslam), I was only watching old content from the 80's and 90's anyhow. </p><p> </p><p>

I've been watching AEW pretty faithfully since Dynamite came on, but I don't see myself paying for a PPV again. WWE Network and New Japan World ruined that for me.</p><p> </p><p>

I was super devoted to watch the G1 over the summer, but I canceled World after the tournament. I do plan to jump back in as we inch closer to Wrestle Kingdom though.</p><p> </p><p>

Otherwise I have a cursory interest in the NWA and MLW, but neither are appointment viewing.</p><p> </p><p>

Quite simply, there just aren't enough hours in the day to watch it all plus anything non-wrestling. </p><p> </p><p>

The end result is I get keep way more abreast of the wrestling scene by listening to Post Wrestling (best news/recap wrestling podcast out there--John Pollack and Wai Ting).</p>

I fell off on MLW, ROH, and Championship Wrestling From Hollywood/Arizona some months ago, along with IHW in Canada, Elev8 Pro, and BackBreakers Training School, but hopefully I should be able to catch up with those soon.

(MLW (and Brian Zane) is the reason I'm predicting Swerve will win a ton of belts in WWE within the next 3 or so years.)

Recently got started with AEW Dark, considering doing back-to-backs of it with NWA Powerrr since I actually have a bit of personal investment in the proximity of NWA and since Dark and Powerrr only just launched so they don't have a huge backlog to catch up on.

I'm out on AEW's goofball nerdcore wrestling, the Cody-Dustin stuff was an anomaly what they are is cutting edge trash wrestling and dorkball stuff.

NWA is great, but I'm not going to invest unless they get a real TV deal because it'll be gone soon and I don't wanna watch something that fly-by-night.

IMPACT is even worse than AEW. Saw that Joey Ryan is doing his dick stuff, all talent should leave ASAP.

ROH has that TNA death stink on it, probably because the same guy is booking it.

WWE is boring, slow, and completely non-sense.

NXT is a bush league.

So nothing right now. Will keep an eye on NJPW for WK. That's about it.

So you came on a thread about what wrestling shows you watch to run every company down and state you dont watch any wrestling - Thanks for your amazing contribution

<p>Currently my rotation is AEW, MLW, and RoH. But for reasons I've detailed heavily in the RoH thread, I've been toying with bailing on them. Still love the roster there but the usage has been dreadful in my eyes for a good long stretch now.</p><p> </p><p>

Been meaning to catch up on NWA Power. Watched the pilot and loved it. Was like watching an 80's or early 90's syndie indie and was a glorious throwback. Also been meaning to catch back up on OVW. Fallen several months behind but have loved their work over the past few years. I didn't stop them on purpose. Just fallen through my cracks since about the spring.</p>

<p>I didn't watch as much wrestling a few years ago, but when I was trying to help Fleisch a little more with his RWC mod I started watching a lot more and I've mostly stuck with the following.</p><p> </p><p>

WWE (Raw, Smackdown and PPVs)</p><p>

NXT (consistently good stuff)</p><p>

NXT UK (though I've lapsed on that recently)</p><p>

Impact (also lapsed on that recently)</p><p>

NJPW (for major shows, the G1 and some others at random)</p><p>

Lucha Underground (though that's perhaps dead now)</p><p>

AEW Dynamite (my current favourite, they are breaking WWE's predictable booking patterns)</p><p>

NWA Powerrr (though I'm not sure I'll keep this going, I don't have nostalgia for studio style shows)</p><p> </p><p>

I check out some other things from time to time, but that's more or less what I watch when I get the chance. I only have so much time and even with my desires to help with real world mods AND to make TEW20 as good as I can to help model the real world... well, I have my limits. Raw, Smackdown, NXT UK, Impact and NWA are all on the chopping block, especially as I head into the busiest time of year for work. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I've deleted a couple of post from Makhal because they go against GDS posting rules, but I have left the original message up so that people can see the sorts of things that aren't welcome here. There is no point in bashing things here on GDS as it doesn't add to any conversation to do so, and it is only at best going to serve to antagonise people. If you don't have anything good to say, or aren't capable of moderating your tone to say negative things in a constructive manner, then don't bother posting.

EDIT: As a reminder to all forumers too, don't respond to comments and start/continue arguments. Use the "Report Post" button at the top right of every message to report posts and let GDS mods handle things. That way, the bad posts don't spiral into arguments or passive aggressive statements and GDS should be better as a result. :)

Watching every show available at the earliest opportunity, or trying to (although I'm falling behind by a week or 2 for those ranked lower on the list):

DDT/TJPW/Ganbare

Ice Ribbon (can't watch every show since they have no streaming service but will watch everything I can find)

YMZ

NWA Power

NXT UK

AEW Dynamite (but for Dark I'm more selective. Have skipped a couple of episodes already)

Lucha Underground would also be near the top of my list once they start doing shows.

I also watch most of the new Gatoh Move matches on their YT, although I skip some of the really old ones.

MAKAI is sadly only available occasionally, but I will watch on every occasion when they decide to stream their shows on YT.

Watching only selective shows or matches depending on whether they involve wrestlers I like, in order of priority:

Stardom

Wrestle-1

Pro Wrestling WAVE

Advance Action Wrestling

Seadlinnng

Actwres Girlz

Singapore Pro Wrestling

Just Tap Out

Sendai Girls

666 Wrestling

New Nemuro Pro (although the promotion recently died due to the owner's terminal illness)

Individual produce shows that can be found on Puroresu Dreams depending who's the producer

I try to watch most of them I have available to me. True, there seems to be A TON of them now, and sometimes it gets to be a little tedious, but I try.

I see Monday Night Raw, Impact, AEW Dynamite, NXT, SmackDown!, and Ring Of Honor most weeks. AEW is by far my favorite. It's not perfect, but it's the one I really look forward to every week and make sure never to miss.

Between work and life and whatnot, sometimes I fall asleep on Raw, miss parts of SmackDown! or ALL of Ring of Honor, but I eventually go back and watch on Hulu, On Demand, or DVR, as time permits.

I very much enjoy MLW and NWA, but I've managed to miss a few of those here and there. I catch NJPW on AXS every now and again as well. Not every episode, but ... sometimes. I always plan to watch more of that one, but somehow, it either happens or it doesn't.

If I miss an episode of a wrestling show, and don't get around to seeing it before the next new episode airs, I usually just skip it... unless of course I hear that there is something particularly "can't miss" on there. I've actually seen some of the AEWs twice (or more), between sticking around for the replay, (though I might be playing Star Trek Online or something at the same time), or putting it On Demand or on DVR when I go to bed.

Think that covers it, just about as well as I can anyway.

:)

<p>AEW, NWA, NJPW, and ROH are the ones we keep up with most.</p><p> </p><p>

I catch MLW when I can, a great thing about FITE is they keep MLW archived and I can catch up when need be. FITE also carries a good amount of indies for free as well, and I kinda check em out on occasions.</p><p> </p><p>

As far as WWE goes, I dont watch any of their weekly stuff anymore, including NXT. I do watch PPVs and TakeOvers, but that's about as far as my fandom goes these days for WWE.</p><p> </p><p>

iMPACT I would like to watch more, but we don't have AXS TV. And we don't want to add another streaming service at the moment, so we are going to catch ppvs when we can.</p>

Singapore Pro Wrestling is the local fed in my country, so I buy tickets to watch live shows occasionally.

The rest (not counting NXT/NWA/AEW of course) are Japanese feds.

These have paid streaming services and I'm subscribed to them:

DDT (and TJPW/Ganbare/BASARA which are their sub-brands)

YMZ

Stardom

Gatoh Move uploads most of their matches on Youtube for free (although for bigger events they have a longer delay period as they need to sell DVDs).

MAKAI also has a Youtube channel, but as mentioned they don't stream their shows most of the time, their business is mostly via live shows attendance, so I have to keep watch on their YT for the rare times when they stream their shows on it. They keep a few shows with English subtitles their on the channel, but the ones without subtitles are removed after 24 hours.

For the remaining....I have sent my reply in PM.

So... since I last posted there've been some developments which provides a better answer than what I gave BHK1978 the last time, so I'm posting that here, both for him and anyone else who might share the same interest.

There's been a Japanese streaming site called Nicopro which has been streaming shows from a lot of small-to-medium sized puro companies. It used to be geo-blocked and therefore inaccessible to lot of countries outside Japan, but that's no longer the case not. And literally 2 days ago they announced that they can now accept payment via PayPal. These new developments just open up a number of options for non-Japanese fans who want to check out shows for smaller Japanese indy promotions.

https://ch.nicovideo.jp/nicopro

Their pro-wrestling channel above streams live events from a lot of promotions, but not every show of course. Most of the promotions I listed in my earlier posts have streamed at least some of their shows there (although for bigger shows they may choose to do it on a bigger channel like Samurai TV). The shows usually are up for 7 days before they are removed. It's a good way to sample shows from a variety of promotion if you are interested in checking out a wide range of different products and workers.

Alternatively, instead of the above channel, a few promotions (including Ice Ribbon and Wrestle-1) also host their own promotion-specific channels on NicoPro. Those will have a deeper catalog of shows as they don't remove what they've posted (and depending on the promotions they may have several years' worth of shows available), but those have a longer delay time. If you are a fan of those specific promotions, those will be a good bargain.

Each channel is a separate subscription on its own, but they are relatively cheap at 550 yen each.

CMLL... though I'm losing interest. The booking is incomprehensible these days.

NWA Powerrr

A lot of old school wrestling on YouTube. I love to watch Memphis, Portland, and the occassional 80s era WWF.

I don't have the time on my hands I used to (to watch wrestling or play TEW) so I have become extremely picky. I still enjoy NJPW, but I'm lagging behind by about 2 years and I'm not sure I'll ever get caught up.

I am hoping to catch some wrestling on the indie scene here in Toronto because I am told it''s great, but I've been here for over 10 years and have yet to get out to a show. Some day it'll happen.
