You certainly are. Or were. I've toyed with the idea of starting a historical mod diary in the past, but I'd probably just sign the class of 2002, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, and push them all at 19 years of age! :D

I think you should do it

D'Lo and Billy both started up in 1994, whereas most of the guys you're talking about didn't start showing up till 1999 so plenty of time to do other stuff first there are a few mods in between those years

I Bolieve in you

I don't know man. I have dabbled in historical mod games. Maybe I could work something out. Maybe.

Let The WarGames... BEGIN!!

A huge pyro display kicked the show off tonight, with Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Beth Phoenix introducing the upcoming action...

Some huge grudge matches, an NXT Women's Title Match, and then the 4 on 4 WarGames match will close out the show...

Team Balor versus Team Undisputed Era... Adam Cole's group have competed in this match twice before, so they know what they're doing...

As for their opponents, Finn Balor has assembled a team of men ready to go to hell for him, who hate the dominant Undisputed Era...

Cedric Alexander, Matt Riddle and Keith Lee have bright futures in NXT and WWE, but this match is sure to take years off of their careers...

Miz and Cesaro know how to entertain the crowd, but NXT is a different environment, and they needed to both prove they could hang in a singles match with a different set demanding of fans. Cesaro's been here before, but for The Miz, this was a challenge he needed to step up to. He found it hard to get the crowd behind him early on in the match, but he certainly grew into it. His performance was surprising, and he pulled out moves we haven't seen from him for years. In the end though, he went for a 'Cesaro Swing'. The fans counted 29 revolutions, and as he landed, he found himself in the 'Sharpshooter'. To his immense credit, he didn't tap. Instead, he somehow made it to the ropes, and Cesaro released the hold. It wasn't long after that that Miz fell victim to the move that eventually finished him off, the unstoppable 'Neutraliser'.

Winner:
'The Swiss Cyborg' Cesaro

Finish:
'Neutraliser'

Drifted Back

After an excellent performance, the crowd gave The Miz a standing ovation, as NXT General Manager William Regal headed to the ring...

q34QeLa.jpgLH5s3C3.jpg

Miz didn't know what to make of Regal's arrival, but he soon found out the reason for his presence...

William Regal:
“Miz... I want to thank you for the three or four months you've given us... But I've agreed a THREE WAY TRADE with both RAW and Smackdown... I didn't want to lose anyone... But I told them they could have the loser of the opening contest... Now rest assured, I've insured that you will have a BIG role on Smackdown on Friday Nights!!”

Miz was in shock... he couldn't believe Regal had let him go like that... but was interested to hear more about his BIG role...

William Regal:
“All will be revealed when you get (to Smackdown)... But it's my job... It's my pleasure... To introduce NXT's chip... in this bargain... ELIAS!!”

HQxHW74.jpg

'The Drifter' walked out to a big ovation, holding his guitar aloft and smiling... But Elias wasn't there to smile and wave...

He laid his guitar down... removed his jacket and scarf... and then sprinted to the ring, sliding in and dodging a clothesline attempt from Miz!!

Miz was clearly tired, because he was easy pickings for Elias... He hit the 'A-Lister' with 'Drift Away' and told him to leave NXT, and never return!!

A brilliant back and forth match between these two incredible talents. Natalya brought the fight to Sasha Banks, opting to try to win it early and capture the elusive NXT Women's Title. But Banks used every tactic she could to roll out of the ring, and stay out of Nattie's grasp. Banks eventually came into contact with Nattie, hitting a brutal running knee from the apron that sent the veteran Canadian off the edge to the floor. From that point on, Banks was in complete control. She threw Nattie into the ring steps, the guard rail, the ring posts, breaking the count constantly to allow the fight to continue on the outside of the ring. She made Natalya WANT to get back into the ring, and make it more of a wrestling match. But when it did turn into a wrestling match, her body had been ravaged by the metal around the ring. Banks found it easy to hit her 'Backstabber' and then rolled her up into the 'Bank Statement'. She had no choice but to tap out, with tears in her eyes.

Winner:
and STILL NXT Women's Champion: 'The Boss' Sasha Banks

Finish:
'Bank Statement'

Team Balor

Backstage, Finn Balor had gathered Cedric Alexander, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle, who all looked like they'd just arrived at the building...

HN7vDh2.jpgYhvSbok.jpg4cWs5L8.jpgAPPveh2.jpg

All four of them were not in their wrestling gear... Alexander and Lee even had their bags with them... But Balor needed to speak to them all...

Finn Balor:
“I wanted you all ta know... Even tho we don' have tha numbers edge tonoigh'... We are goin' ta WAR against Undisputed Era... It's 4 on 4, whichever way ya look at it... and we're goin' ta WIN... But I also need a favour... Do whatever you need to do to win... But leave Adam Cole... to ME!!”

Cedric nodded, Riddle smiled, but Lee explained that the group were there for Balor... but also there to get themselves some of the Era!!

Keith Lee:
“You chose us to be your soldiers, Finn... and we're going to war... FOR... You... But I know I speak for myself, and I think I speak for all of us, when I say that tonight I want to get my hands on the Era for what they did to us... and that INCLUDES Adam Cole!!”

Balor didn't seem happy that Lee was essentially defying his wishes, but he knew he'd fired his large teammate up...

Many people believe that the sheer size of Lee could well be the difference in WarGames... But the time in which he enters the match could be crucial...

Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe; two of the most influential wrestlers of the past two decades, doing battle live on pay-per-view. Joe is a big, strong, Samoan, who can hurt you in a variety of ways. But he can also keep up with the high-fliers of the world like Mysterto. Rey pulled a few tricks out the bag to keep Joe at arms length; a number of spinning DDTs kept Joe grounded. The big Samoan didn't stay down for long though, and Rey soon found himself in all kinds of submission holds and stretches. The biggest underdog in WWE history was certainly the underdog here, and the longer the match went, the slower the pace got and the more it suited Joe. In the end though, Joe walked onto a drop-toe-hold and landed across the second rope!! Rey unleashed his '619', and Joe staggered back and fell onto the ropes on the opposite side of the ring! Rey hit a second '619' and then hopped to the top rope. He flew and landed on top of Joe with a Frog Splash, and the 'Samoan Submission Machine' was beaten!!

Winner:
Rey Mysterio

Finish:
'619 and Frog Splash'

A Powerpoint Presentation

Backstage, Apollo Crews was shown watching the action, and Drew Gulak walked up... The pair have agreed to team together!!

vn0ua6u.jpgtC3dYfn.png

Crews was reluctant at first, but Gulak persisted... and now they have their first match this week... Gulak had a laptop with him tonight...

Drew Gulak:
“Apollo... Glad I found you, man... Listen, I've been thinking up team names, and matching ring gear... and double-team moves... and I've grown my beard out a little so we look more like a team... and what about entrance music... Check this out, I've made a Powerpoint Presentation...”

Crews sat through it, but he looked awkward about it all... Gulak was SO into the team... so can Crews trust him?!

One, Two, Three on Three

The next match was scheduled to be the tag team One Two taking on the Street Prophets, but as we know, Angelo Dawkins is now on the shelf...

a91ToBs.jpgXhNYeMp.jpgOb2JQja.jpg

Montez Ford came out to join Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, and apologised to them for not finding a partner to take them on...

Then suddenly...

0ooU5Hf.jpgGwZJB6N.jpgjlAwsip.jpg

The Forgotten Sons, who promised to be Forgotten No More slid into the ring, arriving through the crowd...!! And they had weapons!!

Steve Cutler wielded a steel chair, and sent Montez Ford out of the ring with one stinging blow to the spine!!

Wesley Blake had a lead pipe with him... Cracking it over the head of Oney Lorcan, and knocking him completely out!!

Jaxson Ryker chose not to bring any hardware... and Danny Burch put up a fight against the powerhouse... But it was soon 3 on 1...!!

Burch was beaten down, and the Forgotten Sons rode off into the sunset, happy with their night's work...

R-Truth vs 'The Archer Of Infamy' Damian Priest

R-Truth and Damian Priest were sent out for an impromptu match to replace the scheduled Number One Contenders Match that didn't happen due to Angelo Dawkins' injury. Truth put up a fight, but Priest was dominant, and put the veteran away with the 'South Of Heaven' Chokeslam.

Winner:
'The Archer Of Infamy' Damian Priest

Finish:
'South Of Heaven' Chokeslam

Team Undisputed

In the back, Adam Cole was stood with the rest of the Undisputed Era... Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong all looked fired up...

e0I6904.jpgC27Mv1u.jpgBNw8QNc.jpgoSVMQyW.jpg

Adam Cole:
“So Finn Balor wants me all to himself...!! And that... is the problem with his 'team'... a team of individuals... Talented individuals...? Sure... But individuals... Whereas WE... are a TEAM... We're undeniable... We're unmatched... and We're UNDISPUTED!!”

Cole reminded his troops that they've been here before... All of them have competed in WarGames Matches before... Team Balor have not...

Adam Cole:
“At the end of the night... We put Finn Balor behind us... We end the rise of Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, and Cedric Alexander... and we continue to dominate NXT... and build it in OUR image!!”

Much like the Rey Mysterio versus Samoa Joe match, these two couldn't be any more different to one another. Johnny Gargano loves wrestling. He loves the business, he loves the art, and he loves the fans. Whereas Bobby Lashley, and his 'squeeze' Lana love a big paycheck, and antagonising the fans. They think they're God's Gift to NXT, and while they may be valuable, they're not as valuable as the heart and soul of NXT: Johnny Wrestling! Gargano stayed out of the clutches of Lashley as much as he could. Despite his size, Lashley is quick though, and he was soon throwing Gargano around the ring. For the finish, a man in a hooded jacket came and stood next to Lana!! Lashley leant over the top rope. Lana hadn't seen the mystery man. He shouted at her to move away, Lashley seemingly knowing exactly who it was! As the big man turned around though, Gargano managed to spin him around and lock him in the 'Garga-NO Escape'. Lashley was crawling to the ropes, until the man with the hood removed his hood, and Lashley tapped and tapped!!

82

Winner:
'Johnny Wrestling' Johnny Gargano

Finish:
'Garga-NO Escape'

</div>

Hood Day

After the match, the hooded man was revealed as Lana's ex husband: 'The Bulgarian Brute' RUSEV!!

yFymtsH.jpge6EYCNT.jpgSUVl9pp.jpgNBeqmdi.jpg

Rusev has returned to WWE, and has evidently been signed by NXT!! A fact that will anger Lana and her new boyfriend Bobby Lashley!!

Johnny Gargano and Rusev also shared a look after the match... 'Johnny Wrestling' knows Rusev is a threat in the Main Event scene in NXT...

rhtzwox.jpg

Dexter Lumis

We took a close look at Dexter Lumis next... The creepy young NXT talent who trended online this week for perhaps the wrong reasons...

TtKIbUX.jpg

Lumis BIT his opponent from this past week Raul Mendoza, after the match was over...

It wasn't like a 'bad guy' biting to cheat his way to a win... it was more like a lion finishing off his prey and then eating him!!

The fans didn't know what to make of it all, but they weren't happy... William Regal has a tough decision to make about his immediate future...

Is Lumis mentally stable...?!

Entrant #1 and #2: Roderick Strong (Team Undisputed Era) and Cedric Alexander (Team Balor)

We kicked things off inside the two caged rings, with the seemingly indestructible engine of Roderick Strong running all over the ring for five minutes. Strong was sent out first by Team Undisputed due to his stamina levels, which are unmatched. But if anyone can keep up with him in the ring, it's the ultra talented Cedric Alexander. The two men had a good match a couple of weeks ago, on Cedric's debut on NXT. Cedric won it by DQ but there was no disqualifications in this match. The first five minutes flew by, with lots of great action, until Kyle O'Reilly hit the ring to give Undisputed Era the numbers edge.

Entrant #3: Kyle O'Reilly (Team Undisputed Era)

Kyle O'Reilly's kicks and strikes kept Cedric on the back foot, and despite putting up a fight, he was beaten down by O'Reilly and Strong. Cedric was placed between the rings on the steel girder that connected them. With O'Reilly and Strong in separate rings, they stomped on Cedric over and over again as the buzzer sounded and Team Balor's cage was opened!

Entrant #4: Finn Balor (Team Balor)

Finn Balor sending himself into the match to even up the numbers was a big move for his team. Adam Cole will likely keep himself until the end for his team, so Balor going in this early showed his bravery and his intent. He fought 2 on 1 against O'Reilly and Strong until Cedric regained his composure. As the buzzer sounded this time, Team Balor were in control.

Entrant #5: Bobby Fish (Team Undisputed)

Bobby Fish looked delighted to run to the ring and join the fight, but he delayed and grabbed a kendo stick. O'Reilly and Strong got back up and fought Balor and Cedric. Fish climbed into the ring and started swinging the kendo stick around like a baseball bat. Cedric and Balor's mid-sections were ravaged by the kendo stick, but Fish wasn't finished there. He climbed out of the cage, and grabbed a couple more to give to his teammates.

Entrant #6: Matt Riddle (Team Balor)

The fired up Matt Riddle came out of his cage, kicked his flip flops off, and ran to the ring barefoot. But he was met on the ramp by another swing of the kendo stick from Bobby Fish. He missed, and Riddle managed to deliver a flying knee to Fish's chest. But O'Reilly and Strong were on Riddle like sharks sensing blood in the water. Soon all three Undisputed Era members were wearing out kendo sticks on Riddle's back. They then headed back into the cage to take Balor and Cedric out again.

Entrant #7: Adam Cole (Team Undisputed)

Adam Cole and Finn Balor's entrances couldn't have been much different. Balor ran to the ring as fast as he could, with a purpose, and just started taking out his opponents. Cole walked out of his cage, and just stood there smiling. He walked to the ring with his arms outstretched, before suddenly unleashing with a shining wizard on the fallen Matt Riddle. So much hope for Team Balor, with Riddle entering to even the numbers up and make a difference for their team. Riddle can fight, but he was taken down by a vicious assault and he was now completely ineffective. Cole eventually made it to the ring, and it was now 4 on 2 in favour of his team, with each Undisputed Era member holding a kendo stick. When the last entrant arrived.

Entrant #8: Keith Lee (Team Balor)

'Limitless' Keith Lee couldn't wait to get to the ring, but the wise big man decided to enter slowly. He knew as soon as he got in the cage, the match would start, and falls would begin to count. He wanted Riddle to recover as much as possible on the outside. Adam Cole sent Fish and O'Reilly out of the cage with their kendo sticks, but they were no match for Keith Lee!! He hit a pounce on O'Reilly that sent him flying into Fish, despite O'Reilly connecting with a kendo stick shot, and when Lee finally got into the cage, Balor and Cedric were up and fighting Cole and Strong!! The numbers advantage was still in favour of Undisputed Era, when O'Relly and Strong got back into the ring it was 4 on 3.

The match wore on, with Keith Lee being dominant to a point, but he was always up against it. Things got crowded in just one of the rings and Undisputed Era were on top. Again Balor and Cedric were down, and being pummelled. Keith Lee had just taken a high-low from Fish and O'Reilly in the other ring, and joined Cole and Strong in the 4 on 2 beatdown. Suddenly, Matt Riddle began climbing the cage from the outside, and the crowd came alive. Cole, Strong, O'Reilly and Fish, were joined in an all-out brawl with Balor, Cedric, and eventually Keith Lee, before Riddle flew off the top of the cage with a 'Bro-Ton' (Senton) and landed on all seven men, sending them scattering like bowling pins.

With Riddle now in the match, things got a little more even for Team Balor. Keith Lee was able to finally impose himself on things, but Cole's team were still able to get their offence in. They still used kendo sticks, and still kept control of the pace. For the finish, O'Reilly and Fish went high-low on Cedric, knocking him out of the match. Lee and Riddle put them both down with stereo Jackhammers! Lee was then caught with a 'Sick Kick' from Roderick Strong. Riddle put Strong down with a flying knee, and the crafty veteran rolled out under the bottom rope and into the other ring. Strong rolled into the path of Balor, who was perched on the top rope, ready to deliver the 'Coupe De Grace'. But Riddle shouted: “BRO!!” At the top of his voice!! He hit a spear on Adam Cole, and told Balor to change his target, which he did; leaping from one ring to the other, and delivering his 'Coupe De Grace' finisher to his rival Adam Cole, before pinning him to end the match.

83

Winners:
Team Balor: Finn Balor, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle and Cedric Alexander

Finish:
'Coupe De Grace' (from one ring to the other)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, really appreciate it. Still really enjoying writing and creating for this diary. I've fully written out the next pay-per-view: The Royal Rumble, and am currently approaching the Elimination Chamber!! So I'm about five weeks ahead of where you guys are reading.

As much as I appreciate the positivity here, I wondered if any of you have any things that you DON'T like. Anything I can change, or any guys or girls I'm burying that you would like pushed? Or anyone I should fire!? Haha!!

Yeah, I can be a little blunt for you.

Humberto Carillo is too bland to be taken seriously, Titus O'Neil is pretty useless... is Shelton in time decline?

Good call getting Miz out of NXT, that was a horrible decision to begin with. :p I really do like him and Rey Mysterio a lot, but they have no business on that roster  And Joe losing to Rey? Is he hurt? Why you do this?

Bobby Lashley on the other hand, I don't enjoy in WWE. Especially not here. I hope he jobs like crazy in NXT if he sticks around there. Damn Lloyd haha

Smackdown Women's division is such a mixed bag. Jessamyn and Marina are so awful haha. I love me some Primo and Epico, more than pretty much anyone, but i have to laugh at you ALWAYS giving someone in your diaries the gang member gimmick :p its usually the hispanic guys haha

Push Curtis Axel lol Start up a new Mr. Perfect gimmick, go all in on it.

Hope you enjoy the DOTM love, you cheeky man

Aleister Black & Tommaso Ciampa [vs] The OC (Gallows & Anderson) w/ AJ Styles

This team makes sense, give them a name. Harbingers of Fury, perhaps, as Tommy End used to use as a moniker (which would fit with Psycho Killer as well)

'The Man' Becky Lynch [vs] 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' Asuka w/ Kairi Sane

Both are just :D:D:D

'The Long Island Iced Z' Zack Ryder [vs] 'Bayley's Buddy' Buddy Murphy w/ Bayley

Lol at this nickname for Murphy, Lloyd. Cringe

The Viking Raiders w/ Logan [vs] Joaquin Wilde & Ariya Daivari

Wilde is great, but I suppose one of the most likely to eat pinfalls on this roster

Humberto Carrillo [vs] 'Tranquillo' Andrade w/ Zelina Vega

Him and Garza are the next Mysterio/Guerrero. Love to see it

Ali [vs] 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt

Almost did the joke answer. Put Mustafa back on him, no reason not to

Yeah, I can be a little blunt for you.

Humberto Carillo is too bland to be taken seriously, Titus O'Neil is pretty useless... is Shelton in time decline?

Agree about Humberto. I think I have a bit of a plan to make him more interesting. See below for some info on that. Titus is one I always get rid of. Bless him. He's had a funny old career. I will most likely release him soon, but he's fairly over right now in-game, and I'd like to use his popularity to get some others' higher. Cameron Grimes has benefitted slightly from this. Shelton IS in time decline. He's number 5. Why do you ask?

Good call getting Miz out of NXT, that was a horrible decision to begin with.
:p
I really do like him and Rey Mysterio a lot, but they have no business on that roster
And Joe losing to Rey? Is he hurt? Why you do this?

Bobby Lashley on the other hand, I don't enjoy in WWE. Especially not here. I hope he jobs like crazy in NXT if he sticks around there. Damn Lloyd haha

So Lashley is getting a push as a heel then, if you hate him
:D
I just wanted to do a 3 Brand Draft, and see all three brands as equal. Even with that said, Miz just doesn't fit on NXT... as a babyface
:D
:D haha!! He'll be a heel soon enough. Rey is actually the most over face on NXT right now, so I couldn't have him lose to the third(?) most over heel on the show. It won't be long before Balor and Gargano over take him, but they're not there yet so I need to keep Rey strong.

Smackdown Women's division is such a mixed bag. Jessamyn and Marina are so awful haha. I love me some Primo and Epico, more than pretty much anyone, but i have to laugh at you ALWAYS giving someone in your diaries the gang member gimmick
:p
its usually the hispanic guys haha

Push Curtis Axel lol Start up a new Mr. Perfect gimmick, go all in on it.

The Colons I love. When I first saw Primo I thought he'd be one of the biggest stars in the company. And Carlito. I normally end up signing him late on in a diary, but never get to use him much... Hmmm... Maybe I'll sign him. RAW could do with some mid card star power.

As for Curtis Axel, you know... I might just do something like that...!!

Hope you enjoy the DOTM love, you cheeky man

I did love it, thank you you cheeky little parsnip.

Aleister Black & Tommaso Ciampa
[vs] The OC (Gallows & Anderson) w/ AJ Styles

This team makes sense, give them a name. Harbingers of Fury, perhaps, as Tommy End used to use as a moniker (which would fit with Psycho Killer as well)

They do make sense together don't they? I think Black and Ciampa could be one of the best teams ever in WWE. But I hope you like what's coming...

'The Long Island Iced Z' Zack Ryder [vs]
'Bayley's Buddy' Buddy Murphy w/ Bayley

Lol at this nickname for Murphy, Lloyd. Cringe

That's the point bro!
:D
I do have big plans for Murphy, but he is Bayley's Buddy for now.

Humberto Carrillo [vs]
'Tranquillo' Andrade w/ Zelina Vega

Him and Garza are the next Mysterio/Guerrero. Love to see it

Oooo High praise indeed. I do love Andrade and Garza. I think I can work Humberto into a three-way Mexican feud soon too. But we'll see.

Fire Lars, Titus and Dolph Ziggler

Haha, still hates Lars. Expect to see Titus gone soon ish. As for Dolph though, poor Dolph. I actually like him, but don't expect to see him near the top of the card.

Push Andrade, Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura

Interesting three. I have big plans for one of these three currently, but I'm sure the other two wouldn't be hard to work into a big story.

Keep up the ok work

Do I have to?

JANUARY 2020, WEEK 2

Show Rating: 79

Announce Team:

cGJETDF.jpgr0I9JxD.jpgtMyNw7a.jpg

Vic Joseph, Jerry Lawler and Dio Maddin

<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #b40a0a; margin:10px;background: #b6b6b6; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">

Three Way Trade

We opened the show with the announce team talking about the Three Way Trade that RAW, NXT and Smackdown were involved in...

HQxHW74.jpglF0VgUE.jpg

Already, we've seen former RAW star Elias move back to NXT... While The Miz has gone from NXT to Smackdown...

But who will come to RAW in the trade?? We'll find out later tonight, but we do know, that they'll be coming
from
Smackdown...

</div>

<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #b40a0a; margin:10px;background: #b6b6b6; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">

Settling In

Before our opening contest, presumably from one of their own houses, The New Day were shown settling in to watch RAW on a sofa together...

NEQBlst.jpgCTQjsck.jpgFz6RoO3.jpg

Kofi Kingston was still down in the dumps... Big E and Xaver Woods have found it impossible to lift his mood after he lost the WWE Championship...

Xavier Woods:
“Kofe... You had a BIG win last week against Elias... It was a BIG Main Event... Next week, we've got another BIG match... We take on The Club in six man tag team action... If we can weaken Gallows and Anderson ahead of the Royal Rumble, it'll help us in our RAW Tag Team Title Match...”

Big E added that Kofi could weaken AJ Styles too, who is a rival in the Men's Royal Rumble Match...

Kingston didn't seem moved... but Xavier said it's time to watch Gallows and Anderson, who may not survive their match tonight...

</div>

bLDDJFE.jpg

<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #b40a0a; margin:10px;background: #ffffff; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">

Tommaso Ciampa & Aleister Black [vs] The OC (Gallows & Anderson)

Two very good singles stars against a very good tag team. The very good tag team normally comes out on top, but Ciampa and Black are on fire right now. Nothing could have stopped them tonight, not even the arrival of AJ Styles. Black put Anderson away with the 'Black Mass' to end it.

Winners:
Tommaso Ciampa & Aleister Black

Finish:
'Black Mass'

</div>

Tag Team Division Revival

Watching backstage, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson shook their heads... disappointed in the loss by The OC...

M8U1et6.jpgFnRf8GB.jpg

Wilder and Dawson had a lot to say about the state of the RAW Tag Team Division... Namely The OC, The New Day, and Hawkins and Ryder...

Scott Dawson:
“You got Hawkins and Ryder runnin' around here... somehow holdin' on to those Titles... I mean... They themselves don't even know how they're still Champs... The New Day are at home watchin' on the TV... because poor 'Kofi Wofi' is sad... and then The OC... The badasses of the three... go out and lose to a NON tag team!!”

Wilder claimed that it was time for them to REVIVE the RAW Tag Team Division, by becoming RAW Tag Team Champions...

And they're going to start... by fighting Aleister Black and Tommaso Ciampa next week...!! Like The OC should have...

</div>

'The Man' Becky Lynch [vs] 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' Asuka w/ Kairi Sane

Becky and Asuka went to war here, knowing they were following an excellent opener. Kairi tried to distract Becky at the end, but she saw through it, and was able to lock Asuka in the 'Dis-Arm-Her' to end the match!

74

Winner:
'The Man' Becky Lynch

Finish:
'Dis-Arm-Her'

The Carolina Caveman

yLMbhNV.jpg

After weeks of hype, Cameron Grimes finally made his debut last week, and was successful against the veteran Titus O'Neil...

The 26 year old North Carolina Native will be back in action next week, against a fellow NXT Breakout Tournament competitor in Swerve Scott...

</div>

bLDDJFE.jpg

Armchair Fans

Back at the sofas, The New Day had popcorn on their laps, and were still watching RAW live...

NEQBlst.jpgCTQjsck.jpgFz6RoO3.jpg

Evidently, Kofi hadn't touched his popcorn at all, but Xavier Woods and Big E had a lot to say about the next contest...

Xavier Woods:
“So The OC lost to Aleister Black and Tommaso Ciampa... And now Zack Ryder is in singles action, against 'Bayley's Buddy' Buddy Murphy... A tough opponent for one half of the RAW Tag Team Champions... We wanna see this match... We wanna scout Ryder, right Kofi?”

Kingston smirked a little, but he didn't exactly engage with his up-beat New Day friends...

</div>

'The Long Island Iced Z' Zack Ryder w/ Curt Hawkins [vs] 'Bayley's Buddy' Buddy Murphy w/ Bayley

Bayley cheated at ringside in this match, and when Hawkins confronted her, he got a slap for his troubles. While Ryder was distracted, Murphy snuck up behind him, and then put him away with 'Murphy's Law'.

Unlikely Allies

Backstage, RAW Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush, was talking to the man he beat last week, 'Gentleman' Jack Gallagher...

fwT8ypw.pngXglPMtt.jpg

Gallagher respectfully called Rush the 'Man Of The Hour', and told him he enjoyed their match last week...

Jack Gallagher:
“Perhaps next time, we can put that lovely Cruiserweight Title on the line...?”

Rush nodded, and the two fan favourites shook hands... But Shelton Benjamin and his new friend Shane Thorne walked in...

hhLBjn2.jpg1PvHjOu.jpg

Shelton said that the two Cruiserweights shouldn't be all friendly and lovey dovey to each other... They should be at WAR!!

Shelton Benjamin:
“There is only ONE Cruiserweight Champion on RAW... and you two wanna shake hands, and kiss each other asses...?! There's only one set of RAW Tag Team Champions too... They're held by a weak team... Just like you two... and that's why Shane Thorne and I have teamed up... Because we're going to WIN them!”

Rush said that if he's so weak, and Shelton and Thorne are so strong, then they won't mind accepting a little challenge...

Rush and Gallagher, against Shelton and Thorne... Next week!! Shelton accepted... Two duos in great form!!

The Viking Raiders w/ Logan [vs] Joaquin Wilde & Ariya Daivari

Dominant performance from the Viking Raiders. However, when Wilde and Daivari began to fight back into it, King Corbin arrived and ensured Erik and Ivar walked away victorious! The big Viking Raiders didn't need Corbin's help!! And looked like they didn't WANT his help either!!

Speaking of Dakota Kai, her good friend Humberto Carrillo was in action next, against a fellow Mexican in Andrade. With Zelina Vega's help, Andrade picked up another win in short and decisive performance.

The Monster Among Underdogs

99ExCm1.jpgZKPXJ0P.jpg

Braun Strowman was being interviewed next by Cathy Kelly... and 'The Monster Among Men' had a message for 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt...

Braun Strowman:
“Look Bray... I'm gonna sit back, and let you have your fun tonight against Ali... Because I'm not medically cleared... but next week... I'm comin' to that ring... and I'm callin' you out...”

But just when Strowman was in the middle of one of his hard-hitting promos, a surprising face returned to RAW!!

Their new signing from Smackdown... Sami Zayn!!

Zayn strolled up in his trademark flat cap, and smirked at the big man... telling him he's glad to see him...

Sami Zayn:
“Hey Braun... Listen... I know you think you're going to be calling out 'The Fiend' next week... But that's AFTER you've fought me... 1 on 1... Man to man... Sorry... 'Monster Among Men' to man... And...”

Strowman stepped to Zayn, and the newcomer backed off and left the scene... Zayn is back on RAW, and what a welcome he'll get next week!!

Ali [vs] 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt

Ali put up a great fight in this Main Event, but nothing he did offence wise seemed to cause any damage to 'The Fiend'. Wyatt rarely appears on RAW. In fact, his matches are kept very special. This match felt like the Main Event of a big show, due to the crowd's involvement, but it was a very one-sided contest. Wyatt ended it with 'Sister Abigail', followed by the 'Mandible Claw', which Ali had to tap out to! The show ended with Wyatt laughing over the fallen body of Ali, and the lights flashing all around him!

Overall I'm happy with how things are shaking out for RAW. Had to use Bray to Main Event this show, but don't expect his appearances on RAW to become regular, certainly when it comes to in-ring appearances. I have big plans for a heel stable to take over RAW, and I think you'll be shocked by the members I've chosen for it.

** I wrote this back in December, thought I'd leave it in there because I took around 2 months off watching any wrestling at all. Came back for the Royal Rumble. The diary is still going very strong. I've fully written and formatted the NEXT EIGHTEEN shows, including a very long Royal Rumble, which I'll split into three parts. I'm currently writing the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view too, which will be show 19 **

Now, onto some different news. In the last few weeks, I've actually stopped watching wrestling. RAW, Smackdown, NXT, AEW, it was all becoming too much to keep on top of. Here in the UK, WWE will now be shown on a different provider (BT Sport), and while I have access to their service, I don't have recording facilities like I do with the current provider (Sky Sports), and being in the UK I never watch wrestling from the States live. I rely heavily on a catch up service like the WWE Network, so if I find myself an hour or two free in the evening, I can binge some shows and catch up. Even since my boy was born in May, I've been able to stay up to date, sometimes waiting the weekend for RAW to be on so I had something to watch in an evening. I'm now in a position where I can't keep up. I can occasionally find the shows online and watch them, on sites like Youtube. But I might start watching a show on a Wednesday, only for the video to be removed when I come to continue it. All of that is to say that I will continue to watch NXT on the Network as and when I can, and occasionally catch up on RAW and Smackdown, but there may be entire weeks I miss everything that happens. But, crucially, I
will
be continuing this Diary! Writing hasn't slowed down at all, and things are looking good as we head towards the Royal Rumble.

As always, all feedback on the show is welcome, and all comments about the next show are too. Many thanks for your continued support and fandom.
