Jon The GOAT Posted September 8, 2020 Share Posted September 8, 2020 I'm working on AEW-type company in the TV 2016 conversion & was wondering if any of you guys had a good suggestion for a top tier tag team match for my first card. While I'd like to have Staffordshire Saints & Storm Warning on my roster once Im settled in, I'm in favor of having a more Lucha Bros vs. Young Bucks tier match (whatever your feelings on either of them, you can acknowledge their viewed as two of the biggest teams in the world). Would love some suggestions outside of the guys I currently have booked for the card. If they are talented, I'm willing to look past pop. I see the value in teams like those but this is meant to be a #tagteamsmatter kinda thing which means trotting out the best possible teams I can find. This feels more like if I went The Good Brothers vs. Butcher & Blade. Appreciate the recommend, I'm guessing there just arent immediate options like IRL in terms of indy tag teams. Though partially the reason why I didn't grab him is because he has an exclusive handshake & I wanted to be cooperative with DRAGON. I ended up moving Ambassadors Club into a match with Staffordshire Saints since I couldnt think of anything better and they both came across as accomplished teams. I did consider MachZ & Steel Buffalo from DIASPORA too but decided to go with a team I'm more confident in. I'd like to bring them in later though. I think I'll probably have to put a decent bit of effort into making an AEW tier tag division. There's a lot of cool theoretical combinations though. The Lotharios, Lejosne, Mackenzie/Storm, Kosmo & Jarid. Some other hiccoughs happened along the way. Jack America got poached so Adam Massey is taking his place. Wilson Hancock & Shay Kinsella both got signed away so I've borrowed Jung Dragon (loaned them VIP) & outbid both PWI & AWF to grab Yokai Dragon as my Penta. They'll face each other as my second big singles match. I brought in SHIMIZU & Horiuchi Inokuma to team with Kosmo Supreme as representatives for Zodiac Dragon in the semi-main 3 v 3. I'll be eagerly awaiting an official announcement of that. As for predictions, given the way that my games always seem to go I expect AWF to gain the upper hand on PWI and become the premier US promotion, maybe even poaching some of PWI's talent. I also predict that Casey Skym's podcast gets him so much acclaim that he decides to jump back into the wrestling world by opening up his own promotion. I feel the same. This looks to be THE mod that can kick the modding community into high gear. With the same dedication and time put into the 2020 iteration, we are gonna have years of enjoyment. Next up, one of the new promotions for TVerse Name Pending but Done For TEW 2020. The <NAME> is just our code for someone we've either not decided yet or not filled in the bio for. Finally, some new faces to the world... Lastly (and I can't remember if I've posted it anywhere), the in game start date is January 2021.
