Taylor Gordy asked the Express how they were feeling with two weeks to go before their rematch for the HPW Tag Titles. Cam and Syd were on fire in this promo. They’re ready to make history, to become the first three-time HPW Tag Champs. They’ve already secured more defenses with the tag titles than any time in HPW history and now they want to take it one step further. They believe that they’re the best Tag Team in wrestling today. In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Funky Fedora, Jack Jackson and The Ring Generals defeated Melvin Jericho, Brent Carpenter, Edwin Garcia and Rick The Ravager in 7:48 when Funky Fedora pinned Melvin Jericho with a Top Rope Knee Drop.

Taylor Gordy congratulated her on winning the Women’s Championship last week from Talia Neema. That was Morgan’s tenth straight win. Morgan thanked Taylor and expressed how she knows she’s going to be a different kind of Women’s Champion. There have been some great Women’s Champions in HPW history. The first champion, Steph Blake. Felicia Luck and Urena Frost. Tameka Sky. Yvonne. All great champions but Morgan Stryker was about to set a new standard for what it means to be a champion in this division. Suddenly she’s interrupted...

The former two-time HPW Women’s Champion and the final 3C Champion, Lucy Stone-McFly has walked onto the set and the crowd is cheering. The cheers don’t last long as LSM lights Morgan Stryker up verbally. How dare Morgan Stryker mention great champions but not mention the greatest of them all? Lucy is the only two-time Women’s Champion in HPW. Lucy is the Linchpin of Women’s Wrestling in North America and she’s someone that Morgan Stryker has never beaten. How can Morgan claim greatness?

Morgan Stryker just smiled big and said she’d be happy to show LSM how she can claim greatness and LSM backed away and said soon, but not yet.

Deverell’s Army came out and Zippy did all of the talking. He pointed at Kalder Tagg whose arm was all done up in a sling and wrapped. He talked about how Gary Greer and the Manifesto tried to end Kalder’s career in their six man tag match two weeks ago. They completely tore his rotator cuff and it will be at least seven months before the doctors clear Kalder to wrestle again, but fortunately Deverell’s Army has their newest member, big Roy Goodlooks, who will step into Kalder’s place to challenge for the World Six Man Titles and also into getting revenge on Greer and the Manifesto for the injury they caused.

Frankie Carmello & the Daughters of Lucha Libre versus Hermanas de Pestilence

A very lucha-style trios match. All six women have worked extensively in Mexico and they got to showcase that lucha style here. It was a fast paced match with lots of back and forth action and it was the first time all three Hermanas de Pestilenece have gotten to wrestle together in HPW and they made the most of it. They got to showcase all of their teamwork and some of their high impact offense and eventually Senora Muerte got the submission victory over Frankie Carmello and the Hermanas de Pestilenece look unstoppable.

In a decent match, Hermanas de Pestilenece (Senora Agonia, Senora Miseria and Senora Muerte) defeated Frankie Carmello and Daughters of Lucha Libre in 17:44 when Senora Muerte submitted Frankie Carmello.

I’m joined now by Mark Hyatt and Brandon Smith. How do you guys feel with a week to go before the championship match?”

Hyatt, “I’m incredibly sad, Taylor. I’m sad because I’ve been a fan of Sean McFly my whole life. He’s been such a great wrestler. A world class athlete. An upstanding member of the wrestling community. He’s a guy you could always look at as an example for greatness in the sport. I’m sad because Bulldozer is going to have to destroy him. He’s going to have to break him. He might have to end his career, because Sean McFly’s pride has led him to make a bad decision. His pride has taken him to a match with a man he doesn’t want to wrestle. Look at Bulldozer, Sean. Really look at him. He’s in the best shape of his life. He’s motivated. He’s hungry. Nate "the Great" DeMarcus versus James Diaz w/ Andrew Gibson

The main event was a chance for James Diaz to get a singles match with the former two-time Mid American Champion. It was also a chance for Nate to wrestle in another high-profile singles match. He hasn’t had many of those since returning in the summer of ‘24. This was a really good match up between two good talents. Diaz has started to turn into a great worker, just like his father. He’s still young -- he’s only 23 --- with years left in his career. At least a decade before he enters his prime. The two big, muscular heavyweights went at it. There was a natural chemistry between them, two guys who could really work as opponents in the future. Nate did show a little bit of extra nasty on some of his strikes and this was a strike and throw fest. In the end, it was Nate DeMarcus’ Snap Tackle that got him the win and avenged Warwick Good’s loss to Dreadnought.

In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Nate DeMarcus defeated James Diaz in 17:44 by pinfall with a Snap Tackle.

The HPW Tag Team Titles are on the line as The Dynamite Express, the former champions, challenge The Texas Express. In our main event, we will crown a new Mid American Champion when the Living Legend Sean McFly takes on Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Who will pick up the mantle that Nicky Champion was forced to relinquish? Joining me in calling all of the action tonight as always is my broadcast colleague, Grace Harper.”

Harper, ”Thanks Marv. It’s great to be here for another great night of pro wrestling action. With two titles on the line, we don’t have a lot of time to waste.”

Earnest, “You’re right we don’t so let’s go to Taylor Gordy who is standing by with Lucy Stone-McFly.

The cameras cut over to Taylor Gordy and the aforementioned Lucy Stone-McFly, but they aren’t alone. Standing next to Lucy, is the former powerlifter and bodybuilder known only as Storm.

Gordy, “I’m joined here today by Lucy Stone-McFly, who shocked the wrestling world when she returned to Heartland Pro Wrestling just a few weeks ago and seemingly challenged Morgan Stryker for the Women’s Championship. Lucy, what is Storm doing with you?”

LSM, “She’s watching my back, Taylor. She’s making sure that Morgan Stryker doesn’t try to come get a cheap shot because Morgan knows she can’t beat me fairly.”

Gordy, “It’s been a few years since we’ve seen you in an HPW ring and now you’re back. How do you feel?”

LSM, “I’m back to pick up where I left off. I’m back to return to being the face of this division. Everyone knows I’m the best women’s wrestler on the planet. I’m only twenty two years old. I’m already great, just wait until I get close to my prime. Morgan Stryker is standing in my way from getting what I want. That’s the Women’s Championship. With my insurance policy Storm here, I’m going to get what I want because I always get what I want.”

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Zippy Deverell, Wolfie Tagg and Roy Goodlooks defeated Edwin Garcia, Brent Carpenter and Melvin Jericho in 5:22 when Zippy Deverell pinned Melvin Jericho with a Spinning Bulldog.

Gordy, “A few weeks ago, Yvonne, you announced that your partner Amy Rhodes was here to reform The Omega Chicks with you and that you wanted to win back the Tag Team Titles from the Hermanas de Pestilenece -- who have been unstoppable since arriving here in HPW. Do you have any updates?”

Ericks, “Yes we do. See, me and Amy have been talking to league officials. Next week, right here on Wrestling Spotlight, we're going to challenge them for those Tag Team Title and we're going to win them."

Rhodes, “You know something Taylor, I had to sit by week after week while the Hermanas de Pestilenece made Yvonne’s life a living hell. They attacked her friends. They brutalized her. But no more. They’re the kind of women that you’ve got to stand up to and punch back and so that’s what Yvonne and I are going to do. We’re going to stand up and punch them right back and we’re going to win those belts.”

Gordy, “I’m now joined by The Samoan Superman, Joey Fili. Joey, last week Jack Jackson accepted your challenge for a match for the Heritage Championship and he said he wanted it at Hoosier Hysteria in four weeks.”

Fili, “Then I’ll see him in four weeks. Jack, you’ve got four weeks to get ready, uce. Four weeks before you’re in the ring with me and you’re going to find out what happens when the islands run wild, ‘cause uce, when the islands run wild you can’t stop ‘em and you can’t stop me. I’m coming for you, uce, and I’m coming for the Heritage Championship. Get your ass ready.”

The Heartland Pro Wrestling Tag Team Titles were on the line in the co-main event. With twenty minutes on the clock, these two teams were ready to go. The Dynamite Express might be the best working heel team in the business. Everything they do is fluid. They just know where to be and how to work together. The Texas Express are a great babyface team. They’re not as polished in the ring, but they don’t need to be. They’re two big, good looking guys that the fans can get behind and their feud with The Dynamite Express has been a great spotlight. This match was a classic territory style tag team match. The Dynamite Express isolated Cooper -- Cooper being the better salesman over Turk. Syd and Cam focused on the knee of Cooper -- trying to keep the big Texan down but also trying to soften him up for the Chop and Charge. Coop sold like they were trying to pull his knee off. Turk made the big comeback and Cam and Syd bumped hard for him. It was a good comeback and then we went into what looked like was going to be the finish sequence. The Texas Express hit Syd Collier with the Texas Rising, but the match went to a time limit draw before the pin could be made.

In an exceptional match, The Dynamite Express drew with The Texas Express in 20:00 when the time limit expired.

Gordy, “A few weeks ago, you lost the Women’s Championship to Morgan Stryker. The fans want to know what’s next for you?”

Neema, “The fans want to know what I’ve got planned? They want to know what’s next for the only woman who has never left HPW? Well… I’ll tell you what’s next.”

Neema points to the curtain and...

Urena Frost walks out! The former HPW Women’s Champion!

Neema, “My partner Urena Frost is back! The Femme Fatales are back and we want the World Tag Team Titles. Urena Frost was dominating in Canada. DOMINATING. She was easily the biggest star they had there and now she is back and she is here to make sure that she and I get the World Tag Team Titles! So that’s what’s next. I hope y’all are ready.”

The main event of the night was for the vacant Mid American Championship. This was the story of Brandon Smith’s dominance against Sean McFly’s resilience. Smith dished out a world of punishment to Sean McFly -- hitting him with a barrage of suplexes and throws that made him so successful in MAW, NYCW, Japan, and USPW. McFly took great bumps. It was a slow match, with lots of time for McFly to sell the impact of the slams. McFly did have a comeback where he hit several dropkicks and a suplex but when he went for his Snap Driving Legdrop, but Smith rolled out of the way and when he got back to his feet, he hoisted McFly up and dropped him with a Tombstone Piledriver and got the pinfall and the championship.

In an exceptional match, Bulldozer Brandon Smith defeated Sean McFly in 11:57 by pinfall with a Tombstone Piledriver. Bulldozer Brandon Smith wins the COTT Mid American title.
