<p>Just to show people who are on the fence of rendering their own characters: this is just the latest default model that should come with DazStudio (G8).</p><p> </p><p>

One of them is rendered at 150x, which takes 30 seconds, and the other at 750x, which takes 4-5 minutes. You can see a quality difference, but it really doesn't matter for use in TEW.</p><p> </p><p>

The clothing piece also comes with the program. Really the only thing I did was change the expression a bit, and change the skin tone. No morphs. The hair is from an older model and I adjusted that a bit as well. That's it. It barely required any effort (once you start 're'-rendering, that's another story). You can use JSilver's lightning he shared in the first post. Though not everyone is a fan of the eye reflection, at least you don't have to tinker with lightning, which can take a long time. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Anyhow: this is all free. To use custom hair and skin/morphs you'd have to shell out some money, which can quickly add up. But there's some free stuff spread over the 'net.</p><p> </p><p>

Here's a G5 model, where the props are a lot cheaper normally. But I used a different skin this time and actual morphs to make it less generic.</p><p> </p><p>

I like some changes, can't stand at least one.... but won't mention any names. (Candy Floss).

 

I know this thread has many threads in one, I'm strictly talking about redoing worker pics already in the game. Not necessarily alt's, as sometimes that is using the same model, with slight variations.

 

Some of the changes are really for the better, some I don't quite understand as sometimes they end up looking not only better, but younger. Some I just don't think added anything (I don't want to say didn't look better, because I don't want to insult the artist, but I get used to some of them, you know...) I don't have time so I feel like a true "heel" saying it, but I would rather see more agers and NEW workers then redo's. Like some of them do have the same qualities, why not introduce them as a son/daughter, or cousin or something instead of just replacing. Seems like we could have a really big world if someone were to make a "C-Verse Plus" world with them.

 

Just thoughts I figured I would throw out there, and see if anyone else shares or not. I don't have any suggestions or alternate way to do anything, as there is nothing "broke" here, so I'm not looking to fix anything. Just curious if anyone else is thinking along the same lines or not.

 

Every year the renders get better, and that's a hat tip to everyone of you, and a thank you!

<p>You can always use the previous ones easily. I've replaced several of the new ones with a previous (TEW16) version as sometimes my mind just can't grasp that much change.</p><p> </p><p>

If anyone wants to use them for a CVE mod, I'm sure no one would really mind.</p><p> </p><p>

I use JSilver's Candy Floss, but honestly think the new 'official' one does fit. It reflects her "lively" personality. The others look more "relaxed". I like it. And it's not she is meaningful in 2020: almost retired, no pop, bad skills,... With AAA gone she has no chance for work.</p><p> </p><p>
