Zeel1
I have no clue why but I can't go up in size at all... I am playing VWA in europe and my size is stuck at 31. I really want to go up to small, but I just can't do it somehow. I just put up a show that was 67 Frickin' Points (which is the highest I have ever put up in my life) yet there was STILL no increase and that baffled me. I have been doing weekly shows, hiring great workers, and yet nothing is working. Please help me lads I'm so perplexed Is this a recent thing or have you been struggling at this for a while? What broadcaster do you have? A recent patch made it so that a companies' popularity is capped by their broadcaster, so even if they're having great shows it won't increase unless there's enough people watching. I did it easier on a save maybe a few weeks ago but now it's totally stuck. I don't have a broadcaster at all because I am a tiny company. Ruthian23
Is there a way with your own broadcaster to only show certain shows in certain regions to get around TV deals? For instance, if I wanted my B show to air worldwide on it, but my PPVs to air in Oceania and Europe and Britain and Mexico and Canada but not the United States or Japan because my PPV deal with those two countries doesn't let me show my own footage , is that something I can do, or does the fact that I have a United States exclusive PPV deal in effect block me from showing it anywhere in the world as long as my network has US coverage? Vocalite
The latest patch completely ruined the game for smaller companies. A complete and hamfisted overreaction to the problem of hyper aggressive AI schedules causing rapid expansion. Now you basically cant get over 30 pop as a tiny company and can never get on TV because you are too small and don't make enough money per show. Annual/Special shows have been nerfed for developing unrealistic amounts of money, which was only necessary in the first place due to the series stagnant and somewhat unintuitive growth system in the first place. The default data uses WrestleWorld as a crutch to artificially give growth potential to any small company, but the production demands are so high it will bankrupt most promotions that don't have a huge nest egg which is now much harder to achieve with attendance nerfs. Oh, so what do I do... Just wait for the next patch to actually play the game? sheesh

Yeah with the latest patch you may actually need a broadcaster of some sort to rise up a level... In July of 2021 WrestleWorld Europe will be opening, and you should be able to get onto that without any issue, the WrestleWorld services take Tiny companies. I'd maybe switch to monthly until then just to get there faster. I guess it might not be the perfect option but it's something you can try. VBigB
Now you basically cant get over 30 pop as a tiny company and can never get on TV because you are too small and don't make enough money per show. Guys someone who’s actually experienced this should be posting it in the tech support forum. If you read the patch notes the cap was only supposed to be applied to the growth from small broadcasters. It shouldn’t be touching the growth from just holding a show in the region. So this really looks to me like the cap is being applied in the wrong spot in the code. I haven’t had a chance to play since the last patch so have no first hand knowledge.

HarmonyOfDissonance
So my promotions 'big event' is a two-shot called the All-Star Weekend, however, I have noticed that attendance is essentially sliced in half for these events, presumably because I'm running two right after each other. Is there a way to negate this? Would I need to record one? Or maybe playing around with the show importance would work?

Do I need to be getting to 31 pop in at least one other area before my "central europe" level goes up and I can get to small? This is so poorly explained in the game smh No you shouldn't have to. I was specifically referencing this from the 1.11 patch notes: - Added attendance penalties for over-saturation of shows in a single region for companies of Medium size or above to stop the tactic of sitting in one place and running many shows in a row So at your size there is not supposed to be any penalty for running many shows in a row. But as a few of us have stated it looks like either this change on the one from 1.12 has potentially broken something. - Added new code that capped how high a company's popularity can reach in a region by the number of viewers there to stop companies getting to high levels whilst on small broadcasters According to WakandaWarrior in his latest Effganic sim no company has been able to crack that 31 pop level. I'm going to run a sim overnight and if I find the same thing I'll post some details in the tech support forum. Prior to patch 1.11 one could definitely crack that level. chunk
<p>Any suggestions on how to gain an additional 11 points of popularity for a worker that seems to already be at their pop. cap?</p><p> </p><p> I've been given an owner goal for Rob Reynolds to be over 83 popularity in the US. Thing is, Rob has hit 72 pop across the board and has shown no signs of an increase in months. I made a post about this in the tech section, in case it's a bug, but I'm still stuck with the goal to worry about now regardless.</p><p> </p><p> I recall in older versions you could get people past their cap temporarily by having them dominate more popular workers, but it wasn't permanent. Unfortunately, I'm not sure Rob's got enough charisma to dominate successfully, nor do I really want to sacrifice my other guys. I don't even know if it works in this version since the cap mechanics have changed.</p><p> </p><p> His destiny roll probably isn't great and I doubt think his stats will change enough over the next two years to effect the on-the-fly calculation much. I wonder if I convinced him to increase his size, would it change his star quality enough affect anything... hell, does SQ even have an effect beyond weighting his initial destiny roll?</p><p> </p><p> I suppose I could just reset the goals by disabling and re-enabling them, but I'm curious if there's a legit way to do this.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="VBigB" data-cite="VBigB" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47568" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Again though over saturation is only supposed to be applying to companies Medium and larger. Ruthian23
If you want to turn around a guy who has really really bad momentum, is having him win against recognizable or better guys the only way, or is it possible to keep him off TV for a while? Does momentum kind of revert to the middle if you're not using someone or does it stay where it is forever until you've actively done something? triplexpac
Hey Guys, I'm not totally new to TEW but almost, so i think i've got an very noobish Question: So far i've managed always Wrestling Leagues which requires 100% Matches in a Show without Feuds, but i really wanna start to learn something about Angles and Feuds in TEW, is there any Tutorial or something which teaches me how to set up a good Show with Feuds, Angles and so on? As Basic i would use the KTB Mod from Gaz, i would like to manage smth like Warrior Wrestling or Impact Wrestling I am happy for any help. At a basic level it's pretty straightforward. If you book a Freestyle Angle, you can: Add the people you want in the scenePick what you want them rated on (e.g. are they fighting? Are they talking?)Give the angle a title, that only effects how it shows up in your card (e.g. it could be "Freestyle angle between X and Y" or "X beats up Y backstage")The other angles in the angle panel are basically just that — they preset the template to follow a certain scene, and you plug in the workers. Personally I just do freestyle angles because I like the control. A feud is just a framework that calculates all the interactions the people in the feud have. So it brings together the matches and angles and spits out a rating. When you end the feud, it adjusts the workers popularity accordingly. People can let me know if I missed anything.
