So just curious since I'm pretty new to the cverse world. Did Tommy Cornell leave TCW on bad terms or what? Just wondering if there's a story to it. I have an idea for a talent exchange with 21CW eventually to bring Tommy back to help AA fight off the Syndicate.

It's kinda unclear tbh. We know he left because he thought TCW was a sinking ship but we never got specifics on if anyone was upset at the other. You could probably work that story in and have it make sense

As was said, it's unclear from reading the bios.

I think it's reasonable to think that, after years of financial stress as the owner of a large company and after your stake gets bought out, you would GFTO and go back home.

Well it seems we need a Phil Vibert Podcast interview with Tommy Cornell then. I want some answers.

Also one of the most challenging starts I've ever done, with backstage basically being dominated by Strong's clique. It's like having the edge of the knife constantly at your throat. I actually suspended his ass after they ganged up on another worker, and apparently the rest went along too. Oops. Now I'm left with a roster that is just unable to produce a +55 show. If there was an option, I'd be on my knees begging them to come back. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Sam's a true scumbag. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Contemplating a TCW game. I'd probably add a second show (Showcase) and toss it on NetStream. Add a Canadian broadcaster to PPV and Total Wrestling. After that save money till I have 20M and open up the Total Wrestling Network to compete with Reverie.

Playing a head booker but probably one of the avatars to signify a change. Also tweaking to Wrestling Nerd Nirvana to modernize a company trying to compete with global juggernaut USPW.

Product will likely be something between NXT and AEW. I doubt I'll be giving Wolf a title reigns anytime soon unless he's that much better than the Ace.

I'm curious on how are you guys booking Maverick

I really can't find anything interesting for him so I've just had him squash jobbers sporadically. So I was wondering if anyone found a place or story for him

I have Maverick in my television division along with people like Gauge, Remus, T-Bone and Courtney. I just use Maverick to help other wrestlers in that division get better and help them gain popularity. So nothing big planned. Basically exactly how I use Human Arsenal but for people lower on the card. I have no attachment to him and he's on the older side so I don't forsee myself pushing Maverick or giving him a title. Who knows though he might debut a new move or have a catchphrase which might make me change the plans for him.

Maverick is in my "glorified jobber" category to be honest. He's not very over and he's too old and not talented enough for me to spend TV improving his popularity, so I'd rather just let younger guys beat him for the rub occasionally. That SQ of 66 and Charisma of 55 are killers.

Typical midcarder. Loses to people higher on the card regularly wins squashes on Showcase/lower end guys on the roster. When his contract is up, I'll let him walk. Had I not made Marc Speed the occasional partner for Joshua Taylor, maybe I would have picked Maverick. Probably my least favorite 35+ guy on the roster.

They have a really awesome roster right now. So many amazing veterans, so you can just fill up the roster with young guys to push because there's so so much fodder.

The schedule of TCW is weird. Your tag team division gets shafted for two months straight where they cant advance their title scene on PPV (War to Settle the Score is 1 v. 1 and Battleground is 4 v. 4). Pretty weird.

King of Kings is cool. I don't know if I'll take it easy and go Singles Elimination tournament or make it hard on myself and go round robin (two groups of 4, Showcase vs. Total Wrestling). We will see.

It's a shame Eddie Peak never became a TCW World Heavyweight Champion. What a mess up.

Sammy Bach has never won anything worthwhile in TCW. That's insane. Why is he still there? He's a perfect figurehead? How is he not a multi-time world champion. I don't even like the guy but that's insane. If he's not in time decline, I'm seriously giving him a triple championship reign and I will keep the world heavweight championship on him until he hits time decline. That's my guarantee. All that being said, if I do do it, he would have to wait till Total Mayhem 2021 to win it so it would depend on him to see if he can stay out of time decline till then. If he has hit time decline though, it'll be too bad for him, he'll only do as well as he can perform. But man this is why TCW is unsuccessful. Awful booking.

Jay Chord is obviously primed for that world title reign. I'll have to book to see who else is looking like they have potential. I won't be hesitant with depushing the old boys (IE, whoever is in time decline), but if they're still performing well, I won't force them down the card. All depends on how good they are.

Anyways, aside from that, I did as I said:

Total Wrestling - ACE (US) & IC-TV (Canada)

Saturday Night Showcase - Netstream (Global)

PPV - USA Free Choice (I dont get it), Canada 1 Choice

Plans is to save up for a streaming service as good as Reverie which shouldnt be hard, I suspect we might even debut it after Total Mayhem. We'll be keeping PPV on PPV though. I like the idea that we're outsmarting SWF & USPW by combining both of their strategies (SWF gets most of its revenue from PPV while USPW profits from subscriptions).

Product will center around marquee match ups. I'm morphing into Wrestling Nerd Nirvana to modernize the company (character is Masked Avatar). But basically keeping up with what's going on now like Hawkins vs. Andrews & Bach vs. Chord. But we have to build more big names to get involved there. The lower cards will typically be filled with multi-man matches a la puro. Singles match will be extremely protected on television for me.

Also by the way, I thought all the hate for Maverick was because it was John Maverick but its Julian Watson. He was pretty solid in NOTBPW, I dont get all the hate. We'll see how he performs before I decide whether to toss him or push him.

Oh yeah, still need to see what I get for owner goals. I will probably leave the main card for Malice in Wonderland following main stories, but I'll have to book a show or two to figure out how I want to deal with the rest of the card. I gotta get a feeling for them after all.

One thing I intend on doing, and this will sound ambitious, is to have Wolf Hawkins break Tommy Cornell's title reign record, and one day have it supplanted by TC Jr. Of course, if I can help it, in the land of All-Star matches, TCW, I'll try and get the two Cornell's from 21CW over here in TCW again.

I don't like that TCW is back in San Antonio and I will probably make the argument to move back to L.A. eventually if I did pick a Mid South based avatar intentionally. I just really love the image of TCW being the land of big matches, it's centered in L.A. for that showtime flare. The main gimmick of the company will center around hyping up those really huge PPV matches. Kyle Rhodes will make this ambition really challenging but I'll do my best to sign as many stars as I can. Wolf Hawkins & Aaron Andrews are here for the next four year so I'll always have that to fall back on.

Some main event goals for Total Mayhem:

Sammy Bach wins the TCW World Heavyweight

Greg Gauge vs. Matthew Keith

Greg Gauge vs. Roderick Remus (I really enjoyed this feud on MAW in 2016)

And obviously, I have to find the face of TCW. It's not anyone on the roster. Sammy Bach outshines everyone including Ace & Alpha, but of course Bach is a bit too old. I decided he should be our baseline for our new star and came up with a shortlist.

El Leon - Too old & not charismatic enough.

High Flying Hawaiian - Not quite charismatic enough but worth grooming if he becomes available.

Magnum Kobe - Kinda up there in age, but big issue is he's better as a heel.

Razan Okamoto - Not quite charismatic enough but worth grooming. Trying to sign him but not sure if BCG loyalty will stop me.

Remo Richardson - Too old, heel, not charismatic enough.

Rocky Golden - Old & not quite charismatic enough.

Will Beaumont - Well, what can I say, he's perfect.

Beaumont & Okamoto are currently in negotiations with me. If any of these guys become available, I'll be bringing them anyways. To be honest, we want the biggest names. That's the goals. We want the biggest possible match ups on PPV.

I intend on sign Dreadnought, James Diaz & Logan Wolfsbaine because I enjoy that trio. I'll sign them all to 3 years and probably send them all to be groomed by Sam Keith. Might try to cut a deal with SAISHO, CWW, & ACPW as well, and anything that pops up in India.

I will also start a women's division at some point but that will wait till we're past Mayhem.

Oh yeah, I turned off testing for soft drugs. I dont have problems with that tbh.

Obviously once the broadcaster is settled, the next goal will be the terrific performance center investment. Main aim is just to see if we can dethrone USPW and once that's done, just have fun with the roster if Rhodes can allow us.

<p>Also while I'm talking about plans and stuff here's what I'm aiming for eventually:</p><p>

3 brands(TW, Showcase, and Womens wrestling)</p><p>

2 monthly events. One for each the mens brands with womens matches sprinkled in. Exceptions are for January(Malice), May, July(Summer Showdown), and November(King of Kings) where there will be only those shows</p><p> </p><p>

King of Kings will be a 3 day tournament like how I set it up in 2016. Having the 3 days lets you build someone up over the 3 shows and really launches people's popularity as winning on 3 PPVs gives a bigger boost than many wins on 1. Also helped with stamina then but IDK if it'll matter in this game.</p><p> </p><p>

Achievements:</p><p>

Royal Rumble(Want an original name for this) - Malice, winner goes to Total Mayhem</p><p> </p><p>

Key to the Future tournament - G1. Need to rework it a bit but I like the idea of having to win something major to get a world title match at TM</p><p> </p><p>

Gonna create something for the women as well but right now I don't have an idea of what.</p><p> </p><p>

Had a 3 day tag tournament I might bring back as well because that was doing good to launch some people in that division.</p><p> </p><p>

For the women I'm doing a 32 person tournament for sure. Going to wait about a year or so to get a few contracts to expire since they're going to be a full on different brand and I need some names to carry them popularity wise.</p>

Not too bad. Obviously itll be interesting to see how it evolves once it morphs into Wrestling Nerd Nirvana. Vita/Stone is easily solvable but Goldworthy/Shark is harder to deal with considering its a stable.</p><p> </p><p> I'm going to be tossing Diamond, Fonzarelli & Foxx into a trio called The Club. Idea is Diamond is the tough guy, Fonzarelli the romantic, & Foxx the guy who gets into trouble on the dance floor. Somewhat gimmicky but they worked together.</p><p> </p><p> Greg Gauge is insane and will probably be in the main event scene really fast. T-Bone Bright, Matt Hocking, Titan, all surprisingly good. Chord/Hawkins have bad chemistry so that tanked the main event. Huggins/Taylor/Mo are all easily pushable into the main event as it is. Extremely happy with the roster. Now that I have two shows now, I'll be looking to expand though. Gonna look at those youngsters mentioned above. </p><p> </p><p> Owner Goals came in:</p><p> No debt - Easy</p><p> Aaron Andrews above 71 pop - Shouldnt be a problem</p><p> Wolf Hawkins above 71 pop - Same</p><p> No powerhouse style workers - Weird but okay? Rules out Papa Swoll sadly</p><p> No daredevil style workers - again fair enough but weird</p>

I understand why you would though, to avoid them getting overshadowed on the main show most likely. </p><p> </p><p> I'm using King of Kings as my Total Mayhem title challenger decider. Itll mean a really long build up but for some reason thats how I initially read it as being so Im just sticking with it. Next year hoping Bach can win it then challenge the champ at TM.</p>

2 months into what I hope will be my first lengthy save of TEW2020. Getting good performances out of Doc Hammond and One Man Army but Sammy Bach is well into decline, to the point where after Total Mayhem I just plan to use him for angles (with a talkshow, ala Piper's Pit/The Highlight Reel) to help heat up storylines.

Had to laugh at USPW's predatory practices. They've hired a 44 year-old Human Arsenal for over 40k a month. I was okay with letting him go but I had just found he had Great tag chemistry with Dazzling Dave Diamond and they would've been a nice team to elevate younger teams with good matches and feuds. Ah well.

The best, however, was when I hired Harry Allen as a local worker to do the job while teaming with Elliot Thomas. Turns out he and Thomas have awesome chemistry so I think "Well, I'll sign Harry Allen to a handshake deal and he and Thomas can be a jobber tag team." NUH-UH say USPW who proceed to offer him 12K a month on a two-year written deal. The guy is 42, has crap skills and is at 42 pop. in the USA but because I wanted him USPW HAD TO HAVE HIM, haha.

It's going to be fun to try and take them down.

how do you guys develop workers? it seems in this game that fundamental skills and stamina go up quickly, but primary skills and performance skills go up very slowly, if at all. Same with performance skills. How do you increase skills quickly for young workers you want to push like Beaumont?

Well currently playing and I have paired OMA with Human Arsenal (btw, looking for a name related to weapons or war for them) and I'm going to try to push Doc as a singles wrestler with the Elite.... let's see how it goes

I paired them up and called them Human Army, had their first match and Human Arsenal got injured for 11 months! (9 after surgery).

A couple of things:

1) Make sure to check out the handbook. Different skills increase at different rates. For example, Charisma increases slowly at low levels but starts to snowball as it gets higher. Psychology is the opposite.

2) Assuming you're putting them in enough matches and angles to improve their skills, there isn't much you can do to make it go faster because of the new "battery" form of skill gain in 2020. Basically, any increase goes into a pool that gradually trickles into their actual skill. It can only go so fast and it can only hold so much at one time.

I did not realize USPW was this predatory. Aside from Roderick Remus, Im not too concerned about resigning anyone till August where The New Wave, Bach & Hocking all have expiring contracts.

Sucks about Bach, to be honest, he's a clear step behind Chord/Andrews/Hawkins in my game despite NOT being in Time Decline. I still want to give him his magical reign though so if he can resign and hold on till Total Mayhem, he'll still get all the gold in the world.

Hope USPW starts signing up all my guys.

Not as helpful as post as the others but tbh I just let guys work and keep an eye out to see if they go too long without making any improvements. If they do, I usually chalk it up to having hit the cap.

The TCW roster is pretty fatigued to start it seems like. I think we definitely need a large roster to account for the second show now and the fact that we have so so many older guys. Unfortunately, there's no bandage signing you can make in the game to start. No one really available to bring in to try and help alleviate the pressure on the main event.

Also, I feel bad for Taylor/Mo/Huggins who all deserve a big push but how do you get past the ceiling of Bach/Chord/Hawkins/Andrews without accidentally screwing their pop over. Gonna have to figure out that gap. At the very least none of that trio are quite ready for a title reign.

just had the 3rd and final PPV for TCW for the demo, will wait until half term to buy the full game, but just had Bach defeat Chord in a 25 minute 94 rated match. Wow. absolutely incredible, and they are now 1-1, with Chord getting the 2-1 win at Mayhem. I thought that it was going to completely overshadow the main event of Andrews vs Peak, as I hand't used Peak atall, and he was just there for an Andrews defence before Wolf at mayhem, and for the loss to be the reason my new stable debuts to overthrow Peak, but they pulled it out the bad with a 90. Then, I end the show with a 99 promo.

And I get a 64 overall rating because the fans were annoyed at the amount of non-wrestling segments.
