TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

Recommended Posts

I had been getting 4.6 million viewers for TCW when the shows were based in the USA, but when I ran a show from Mexico, I lost a million viewers. I posted about it in the tech forum. I didn't know it was because of time zone ding, but I'm assuming this was the problem and has now been fixed.

Oh got it. Wow I had not noticed that.

Have viewers dropped sharply in 1.20?

I've gone from 37,000 to barely 20,000 with a small company on WrestleWorld.

The patch notes referred to a change to natural growth, but not viewership.

I noticed a drop. I like how the numbers pan out now for Medium-Big sized companies. It's a bit closer to what the AEW's and NXT's of the world are doing.

Aside from "use different wrestlers" is there a way to deal with the "tendency to drift" penalty?

You can try shorter matches for those wrestlers. Match those low psychology workers with high psychology workers, that can keep the match from not making sense.

Or put them in matches where psychology is less important. Like High Spots, Car Crash, Mayhem, Wild Brawl or even Steal the Show.

Are there any general tips on how to convince wrestlers to come out of retirement? I know body condition factors into it, but the wrestler I am trying to convince to come out has about 90 conditions for all stats and just keeps saying "I dont think I have another run in me". I checked their personal wealth and it's normal.

The in-game guide is very generic with its info on what factors cause them to say no. I've seen a wrestler say they were too old, which is easy to understand.

Look at the deals of what you are negotiating (how much the broadcaster will pay per show and how much ad revenue % you can get without having to pay anything -- also, the longer the deal, the more money you will usually get per show).

I hope that helps.

Oh yeah, I bet the finances on a FOX deal would be swet. It just feels funny from a roleplaying perspective though, to jump from TBS already, especially if I can reach max size while still at TBS, you know?

Quick question about dojo graduates

For my 2018 alt cverse mod I was making future workers for dojo's based on the amount that should graduate, thinking that say I made 3 graduates in 2018 for a dojo that produces three per year it would be those 3. However, have I got that wrong? Would it be my created three plus another three?

It says in the help guide that "graduates that have been preset in the editor do not count towards the total"

So does that mean by setting up my mod to have the next four years are graduates set up I am actually doubling the amount that will graduate, therefore upsetting the balance of the game world/the companies that graduate to? I have looked at the game run I am testing and in 2018 alone SWF had 12 workers graduate Supreme University in 2018 alone (4 mine as they are set to 4 per year, so not sure why that number doubled!).

I know you can turn graduates off but obviously at some point workers need to start graduating, or more if facilities improve during the game.

Is there no setting now like in 2016 where you set new workers to only start appearing after a certain date? If not that is going to get very frustrating and obviously workers are better with real bio's/balanced stats/fitting the companies product, but if it's going to create an issue where companies have too many rookies then I should delete them. TCW in 2018 hired 7 rookies (no idea why 7, they were set for 2 per year, two were preset, 5 just random graduates, 6 if you include the female they didn't hire) but that instantly means, 1 year in, their whole roster is off balance as it was full of average rookies with no experience. I mean they only start with 40 wrestlers, so within a year enarly a quarter of their roster is rookies!

I asked a few months ago, but how does this game play now after the patches? Is it smoother than it was at launch?

I've had no problems what so ever with that. So I guess it comes down to which computer you have. So it's a stupid question because everyone will have different experiences.

I only ask because I remember there being a lot of issues when it launched, including the skin and a lot of bugs that made the gameplay not super smooth, so I was wondering how it is to play now that it's been through a few patches.

Havent heard anyone having that problem for months. So I guess its not an issue anymore.

in the finance section under media theres fines, what causes the fines? just curious cause 7 months into my 1991 save WCW is in the red and when i went looking for why it's because they fined $4 million in the media section of finances. Then i went back and looked at my finances i was hit with over $6 million in fines twice.

I was fined for using unlicensed music early in my save...so I went into production and fixed that right quick so I didn't get hit again. That might be part of it. Not sure, but would you also maybe get fined if you ran a show in a region where your not supposed to? Other feds territory? Others with more experience probably have a better answer for this than me.
