Anyone had any fun or interesting things happen in their games?

Tried out the 2010 mod in a two-year watcher game. TNA overtook WWE within a few months, and NJPW somehow jumped from mid-30s to high-70s pop in the US inside a year.

 

Angle & Sting were incorrectly set as a unit tag team, so pretty much all their matches are together. The AI's use of them is bizarre.

 

In 2010, they had 30 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. In 2011, they had 5 wins and 33 losses. Their pop is now in the mid-60s.

 

Can't blame the AI for a mod that is obviously not ready. They probably tagged them as an old tag team after a year. How would you use an old tag team that will never split up? Of course you job them out. Makes sense to me.

 

AI TNA overtaking WWE should be nearly impossible, so also some errors there. Probably a stat bias towards anti-WWE as well.

 

This is why I never play real world. It's very hard to get everthing right.

In general, though, I do agree. RW mods are fun to play around with briefly, but the flaws come through pretty quickly in my experience. I stick to the Cverse for long-term saves.

I started as NWA in the Killing the Business mod, first thing i did was to re-hire Cornette as Color Commentator. One day after making the offer, he died (it wasn't that bad of an offer, i swear!)

This is being addressed in Patch 1.08 so I hardly think it’s a RW mod issue.

Is it? It's being "looked into", but that doesn't equate to being in the next patch. It was an issue back in the beta, so it must be tricky to sort out.

 

I'm not blaming the mod for that aspect. NJPW and TNA overtaking WWE in a few months, though, might suggest a bit of a balancing issue! It's so hard to replicate RW scenarios in the game, especially when the game is new.

Gens are really frustratingly lopsided to be honest.

 

They might have one god stat, overall god entertainment, or god physical, but there's too high a slant of them being absolutely awful at most things and most fundamentals and having zero camera.

 

Just wish it was a bit more consistent. Extremely rarely is someone just a promising rookie with potential. It shouldn't be allowed for them to be able to come in with a stat in the mid 70s, let alone 80s and 90s. A narrow chance of a freak athlete or charisma machine, sure, but a rookie with 90 mic? Uhhh...

 

Then the flip side of them entering wrestling with every in ring skill being <35, making them pointless to ever use.

I've had fun playing as a child promotion to an AI-controlled AEW via Gary Wooder's excellent real-world Killing the Business mod. I added the twist of a separate AEW women's developmental promotion controlled by the AI, giving the women in developmental a chance to gain experience working high on the card.

 

From that game comes this beef between Will Ospreay and Nick Jackson. It made me want to see Birds of Prey vs. Young Bucks. Perhaps someday.

I started off May/June 2020 on a real world mod unemployed and am now signed with NCW. Fast forward to February 2021 and I check WWE's Royal Rumble results and notice to no surprise, Roman Reigns won the Rumble but what was surprising is John Cena losing the title in the Main Event to Santana!

USPW has scooped up a lot of top talent in a lot of places in my save, including taking Tommy Cornell in February 2021, followed by Edward Cornell in May 2021.

Doing a game with a developmental fed for 21CW, using mostly rookies with a handful of 21CW send downs and one or 2 vets to help the young guys. Brought in Johnny Highspot and Keith Adams on a "higher local" to put over the Black Country Boys and found out they had chemistry so gave them a 6 month deal with the plan for them to feud with Cloaked in Shadows, put them over and leave. Signed them, booked a show on Sunday where they did a run in save to set up the feud, simmed through 2 weeks to get towards my next show and Keith Adams retires with no warning.

I've been doing UWF since 1993 and it hit 1999. WCW kicked Eric Bischoff out of head booking and then WCW went on to fire 35 people, including Ric Flair, Goldberg, Sid, and Scott Steiner.

TCW just sent two development workers down to me, each with the last name Koscheck. One is black and the other is Pacific Islander, so I thought it would be cool to edit in a best friends relationship for them and team them up as the Koscheck Brothers in a sort of Dudley Boys gimmick, but I'll play up whether or not they're actually brothers or just really close bros.

Just had the strangest injury report I ever saw in all my years of playing TEW. Playing a RW mod and during a show I got the note that in their match, a botched move by Corey Storm caused a FAMILY DEATH to Lucas Steele!

What the hell happened here? Was Steele's grandmother sitting front row and and Storm wiped her out with a mistimed plancha?

The two of them now have a 'hatred' relationship and I'm just waiting for the lawsuit!
