I remember when this went up. Greg Sluchinski only covered it due to the fact that I was main eventing and as somebody who had a good relationship with him, he ran with it. That being said, it's not like he put in much effort into it either. Of course, I never expected a big crowd of people to come, especially seems we were closer to the west coast than the east, where I would be more well known but he could have been a little more enthusiastic. That being said, I was very happy to be booking a company, especially after sitting on my ranch for awhile. Back then, when I was 55, but I could still work, so I decided that I wanted to draw attention to our product by doing a big match up for our first show. </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

Everything about OCW was what I liked about wrestling, old school wrestling with the OTT character work to make things all connect together. It had the blood and realism, but also the craziness and freedom to book some more sports entertainment type stories too, it gave me an open book to work with, it might sound a little weird, but believe me it worked.</span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

That being said, getting the job as booker of OCW, well, it changed everything. It's probably the best worst decision that I've ever made and It's a long story, a very long story. </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

It all began in December 2019, when I met up with an old friend, though I'll get to that in a second. </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></div></div></div></div><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

So I'm Randall Hopkirk and this is the story of Outlaw Championship Wrestling</span></div></div></div></div><p> </p><p>

Randall Hopkirk v ??? Edit: (MG's reasoning persuaded me)

Greg Rayne v Cip Conduit

Jack Pride v Remmington Huniet (Remmy Honeyman)

Charlie Corner v Gio Peltoni (Pepper Pelton)

Leftie Wilkes v Romeo Romaro

Not too familiar with what parts of the roster we know but that's half the fun with these smaller promotions and the product sounds good!

Randall Hopkirk v ???

If this is really Hopkirk's last match, he is the type of guy who would put over a star of his promotion to give them a boost, instead of squashing someone to fill theor own ego, so I think Randall will be looking at the lights and putting over the new generation.

Greg Rayne v Cip Conduit

I know both of them, I simply Like Greg Rayne more, and he is a better wrestler than Cip Conduit.

Jack Pride v Remmington Huniet (Remmy Honeyman)

I dont know who is Jack Pride, I know who Remington Huniet is.

Charlie Corner v Gio Peltoni (Pepper Pelton)

I dont know who Charlie Corner is, I know who Gio Peltoni is, and he seems like a future star who just needs a little build up.

Leftie Wilkes v Romeo Romaro

I know who Leftie Wilkes is and I dont Know who Romeo Romaro is, and at least Wilkes has a succesful brother and has worked in a name company, so he has my vote.

Looking forward to this- I'm using some of the same guys in my RMW game that will probably turn into a dynasty so it'll be interesting to see how you use them.

Randall Hopkirk v ???

It's hard to be certain without knowing who the surprise guest is- if it's an old rival like one of the ex-TCW guys I could see Randall winning. That being said, it's more likely to be someone Randall puts over as the others have said

Greg Rayne (Rayne Man) v Cip Conduit

Conduit kinda sucks and Rayne's one of your top guys

Jack Pride v Remmington Huniet (Remmy Honeyman)

If I was booking this I'd go the other way but Jack's textbook OCW stuff and Remmy's perfect for getting younger guys over

Charlie Corner v Gio Peltoni (Pepper Pelton)

I'm guessing Pepper's teaming with Remmy judging by the names, so he goes over to give the pair some credibility

Leftie Wilkes v Romeo Romaro

Bit of a coin-toss but I think Romeo fits OCW's product better

Randall Hopkirk v ???

While I do agree that there would be more value on Hopkirk putting someone else over, I instead make my pick with the idea that the opponent here is in with just one and done deal and that the real catch is some announcement Hopkirk would make after being victorious.

Greg Rayne (Rayne Man) v Cip Conduit

To me, Rayne is the biggest name here after Hopkirk

Jack Pride v Remmington Huniet (Remmy Honeyman)

Have to go with Remmy here as I have had a soft spot for him ever since he did well in one of my diaries.

Charlie Corner v Gio Peltoni (Pepper Pelton)

Don´t really know much about either guy but after a qucik look, I see bit more on Peltoni so I go with him.

Leftie Wilkes v Romeo Romaro

Bit of a coin flip but Leftie has bit more popularity so I go with him here.

OCW Ultimate Showdown

Albuquerque, New Mexico

46 people in attendance

Randall Hopkirk makes his way to the ring. He stands in the ring as the few fans give him a very respectful cheer.

Hopkirk:
Thank you all for coming tonight. This as you know, is my retirement match and I appreciate every single one of you coming out here to honour my career here tonight. However, I do not see this as the end, as tonight, this is not just my final match but it is also the introduction to the next generation of wrestling stars. Tonight, OCW becomes a company in the wrestling business and don’t you worry, I may not be getting into the ring, but you’ll see a lot of me as I will make sure things won’t be getting out of hand. That’s right, the owner has appointed me as the authority figure here in OCW, so I’m not going anywhere. However, that’s something to worry about later, right now, I want to thank you for coming to my retirement match and I officially say that the night starts….

x12DMgK.png

Out of nowhere, Peter Valentine comes out. The initial shock of silence is replaced with boo’s as Valentine does his usual and annoys the crowd jaw jacking with everybody in the front row as he makes his way to ring. The two men stand across from each other for a moment, Hopkirk confused and Valentine scowling before…

Hopkirk:
Everybody welcome to the ring, Peter…

Valentine:
No need for introductions, everybody knows who I am. Peter Valentine, in the flesh, thank your lucky stars that you are in my presence. You see, I’m out here right now because of what you just said, you said it was “your” retirement match, well, that’s where you are wrong there old buddy, it is MY retirement match. That’s right, I am Randy’s opponent for his match tonight.

Hopkirk:
You’re right, Pete. I’m sorry. I should have done it correctly, but your appearance was supposed to be a surprise. I was trying to keep it a secret, but he’s right. It is our retirement match and….

Valentine:
No, it is MY retirement match. History is written by the winner and that is what I plan to do tonight, but all this crap. This lack of respect, things have changed. I was going to come in here, beat your ass, collect my cheque and leave but now, I think I deserve a little more. I want to collect numerous cheques after this disgraceful attempt at making yourself relevant again by facing the great Peter Valentine. So, you better get your owner on the phone and sort out that if I win tonight, I become the colour commentator for this company, just so I have a front row seat to see you run this place into the ground.

Hopkirk:
No need to call the owner, I can make the decisions here and you know what Pete, that sounds good. You win tonight you can become the colour, but don’t think that means I’ll go easy on you. Tonight, we both retire and one of us will retire….. A loser.

Theocott:
Intense stuff, hello everybody, I’m Theocott and welcome to OCW: Ultimate Showdown. I’m your host for tonight, Randy didn’t get a chance to introduce me, but that's okay, we just got a huge stipulation added to tonight's main event and I cannot wait. Let's get it going. OCW begins its journey tonight.

Leftie Wilkes (E+) v Romeo Romaro (F+) w/ Haley Buck

Theocott:
Two guys here both in the prime of their career, should be a solid match.

Romaro starts the match quickly, trying to impress his girlfriend, Haley Buck. Wilkesis taken by surprise. Romaro is in control but Wilkes takes it in and learns his moves and soon is able to take control. He’s softening him up for the Boston Whiplash (Corner Swinging DDT), however, Romaro comes back weaseling out. Wilkes goes back to work using a gameplan softening him up and it works. He whips Romaro to the corner, locks in the Boston Whiplash (Corner Swinging DDT) and Romaro is pinned.

Desire:
Hello everybody, I’m DeAnna Desire and I’m here backstage ready to conduct any interviews, right now, I’m joined by Todd Havers and James Jolson, guys you have no match tonight what are you doing here?

Havers:
Well, DeAnna, look at us, we why many people care here tonight. We got the muscles to make all the women want us and all the men want to be us.

Jolson:
Take it down, DeAnna. We are here because we are The Wow Factor. The thing that people came to see and with bodies like this, you can’t blame them.

Havers:
Ripped. Tanned. And winners, that’s what we do but the thing is DeAnna, it’s not about what you do…

Jolson:
It’s about how good you look doing it and we know we always look good.

Havers:
We may not be wrestling tonight but this is just a sneak preview for everybody here in OCW of what they are missing.

Jolson:
We got our tan done especially for tonight.

Both men laugh as Havers goes to take a drink of water from the bottle he has in his hand when….

x4MMICH.jpg

…. Jack Pryde, followed by a group of paparazzi screaming questions at him, drifts into the frame. Getting anxious and overwhelmed with all the attention, he tries to run away. However, he hits off Havers, spilling the water all down his torso.

Pryde:
Oh, I’m so sorry.

Extremely apologetic, Pryde wants to help but the swarm of cameras are catching and he bolts but is very upset about it. Havers tan, previously perfect, now begins to run and become streaky. Havers stands there with his mouth wide open in shock as Jolson shares his reactions.

Desire:
Is.. your tan running?

Havers:
No… I mean, why does that matter…. I mean no.

Desire:
Well, that means you used fake tan… why didn’t you do what everybody else does and use a tanning bed?

Havers:
I… Well, the sun doesn’t come out much in Canada… I mean, I did use a tanning bed…. I.. I didn’t have the time to use the tanning bed… Wait, no.

Jolson:
No, Todd, we need to get out of here and get that guy.

They run away, doing their best to hide Havers' "streaky" tan.

Backstage, Haley Buck is browbeating her "boyfriend" Romeo Romaro.

Buck:
You think this is how you rise to the top, by losing.

Romaro:
Of course not, my love, he knew my stuff, he knew what was coming.

Buck:
Yeah, that’s what smart guys do, something you aren’t.

Romaro:
You are right, sweetheart. I need to be better.

Buck:
Ugh, you’re worthless, why am I even here with you.

Romaro:
No, please, I swear I’ll do better, I’ll do whatever you want.

Buck:
..
Water now!

Romaro:
Yes, ma’am.

BAJG0jo.jpg

Buck waits impatiently as Charlie Corner walks past.

Buck:
Hey you!

Corner:
Me?

Buck:
Yeah, you look like you are lost, I can offer you my services.

Corner:
Services? Oh no, bro, I don’t use girls like you, but no judgement here, I’m sure you got a family to feed, it’s all cool.

Buck:
What? No, I… I mean managing services.

Corner:
Whatever you wanna call it, bro. It’s all cool. I don’t need your services. I got my surfing, my music, it’s all good.

Buck:
No.. This is…

Romaro has returned, a large bottle of water in his hand, but see’s Charlie and freaks out, shouting in a shrill voice.

Romaro:
GET AWAY FROM HER!

Corner:
Whoa, whoa, bro. You need to chill out. Damn, that was painful.

Romaro:
Back the hell away from her, she’s..

Corner:
Oh, you.. No problem bro, I’m not one to, you know, but I don’t judge dude, whatever surfs your board.

Buck:
You're gonna just let him talk to me like that?

Romaro is slightly confused as an irate Haley storms off.

Romaro:
Isn’t she pretty when she’s angry?

Romaro walks off infatuated…

HVL7V2E.jpg

.. As Gio Peltoni walks up to Corner, dirty oil all over his face, a cloth cleaning his hands.

Peltoni:
She’s a nice broad huh?

Corner:
Really bro, broad? That ain’t cool.

Peltoni:
Oh, my bad. Here, put it behind us?

Peltoni puts out his hand and Corner goes to shake it but Peltoni fakes him out, slicking back his already gelled back hair, before rubbing some dirt off his face and flicking it in Corner’s face before walking away.

Corner:
Aw man, so not cool.

Charlie Corner (F) v Gio Peltoni (F)

Theocott:
Two youngsters here who have a bright future here in OCW.

This is a brawl, Peltoni and Corner go hard and when Corner gets momentum, Peltoni finds a way to stop him, usually flicking gel from his hair in his face. It’s distracting and can’t be comfortable but the Super Cool Superman battles on and holds his own, even if Peltoni is able to keep control, but he can’t put Corner away. Getting frustrated, Peltoni goes for broke, bad idea, CORNER CUTTER! (Cutter) and he’s out. The pinfall is inevitable.

Jack Pryde (F-) v Remmington Huniet (E+)

Theocott:
Huniette apparently has a lot of money, Pride showed up here followed by a bunch of paparazzi, two high profile guys here.

The match starts slowly as they start with lock ups but Huniet quickly is able to show his technical prowess. He takes Pryde to the ground and moves from hold to hold expertly, but when Pryde gets charged up from the crowd, he resorts to strikes, clubbing Pryde into the back of the head. Huniet goes back to work, but Pryde is able to get going again, this time, Huniet pokes him in the eye, stopping his momentum again. Huniet again slows it down, but Pryde is able to come back with a few right hands. Pryde is fired up. Clothesline, shoulder block but Huniet bails from the ring and Joe follows bringing Huniet back.

zrUM8p5.jpgCrUMJ9v.jpg

Huniet is in the ring and distracts the ref as Todd Havers and James Jolson attack Pryde from behind on the outside, Havers wearing a shirt to "cover himself. Throwing Pryde in the ring and Huniet hits the Money Shot (Flying Leg Drop) and that’s enough.

Backstage, Greg Reign and his wife Tabitha get to the arena. They sit down backstage and Greg begins to get ready for his match, while Tabitha seems to already be ready and she takes out some papers, a pen and a calculator. She begins to work it seems as Greg gets his boots on, she is very worried.

Tabitha:
Greg, I don’t know about this.

Greg:
Look, we need the money, that’s why we’re here, you can see the numbers in front of you. The finances don’t look good.

Tabitha:
Yeah, but even if we do go through with this, we’re barely scraping even and if you get hurt, we’ll be even more so in debt. I don’t think it’s worth the risk.

Greg:
Look, I’ve been in this business before. And with both our wages from our jobs plus our wages from this, we actually make a bit of money, we can start saving, maybe get a mortgage and live in our own house. And if I win, I get a win bonus on top of that, helping us even more.

Tabitha:
I know, but you’ve been out of the game a long time. I don’t want you to be annoyed but… you might be a bit rusty.

Greg:
That’s… true, but I’ll find my feet and then I’ll be winning every week.

Tabitha smiles as Greg takes off his wedding ring and gives it to her, she smiles. He then turns and leaves her as Tabitha puts the ring in her pocket to keep it safe.

aNNcDwV.jpg

This is when Remmington Huniet comes up. Having a good look at Tabitha, Tabitha is clearly not happy at his presence.

Tabitha:
Can I help you?

Huniet:
Not at all, just didn’t expect to see a girl like you in a place like this, I thought I was the only rich person crazy enough to go into the wrestling business.

Tabitha:
Uh, rich?

Huniet:
Yeah, you know, like having loads of money. Oh, look at me explaining what rich means to a rich person, how silly am I?

Tabitha:
Wait, rich rich? Like with loads of money?

Huniet:
Of course silly. You know how it is, the man who has everything always wants more. I guess it's the woman in your case.

Tabitha:
Right… Well, the first thing you need to do is get out of my face because you are annoying. Secondly, I am not rich, not that that is any of your business and thirdly, flaunting your money around like that, is going to get you nowhere with any woman who has their integrity.

Huniet:
Well, I’ll be damned. A woman as pretty as you, was certain you came from money. No matter. However, I will ask you to have a glorious dinner with me.

Tabitha:
Didn’t you hear me? I don’t care..

Huniet:
Some lobster, champagne, get treated the way you deserve.

???:
The lady said she isn’t interested.

Greg Reign now returns, ready for battle and a bottle of water in his hand.

Greg:
She also doesn’t need me to stand up for her but we are a lot stronger together.

Huniet:
Oh, you’re also taken by a commoner also. How drole. Is.. is that tap water?

Greg:
Um, yeah.

Huniet:
Ugh, disgusting, it’s not even Voss. You can't even get water right

Tabitha:
Can you get out of here now?

Huniet leaves as Tabitha and Reign look upset but they look at each other and nod, ready for tonight's match.

Disappointed with losing earlier, Jack Pryde sits in the back. His head is down, he’s sad. That’s when Elijah emerges from the shadows.

Elijah:
Tough night?

Pryde:
Whu… Where did you come from?

Elijah:
Oh, don’t worry, I’m here to help you. Give you that ol’ Southern Hospitality.

Pryde:
I don’t understand.

Elijah:
Well, where I’m from, if somebody has had a tough night you help them and you haven’t had a good night and that’s what I do. Help lost souls find their way.

Pryde:
I don’t think I’m a lost soul.

Elijah:
Of course, you are. I know one when I see when.

Pryde:
That obvious, huh? I know I have a bright future and I know I can get there but all the publicity and cameras and questions, it’s a lot of pressure.

Elijah:
Yeah, it can be hard, of course, we could get you some revenge?

Pryde:
I’m not really a vengeful sort of guy.

Elijah:
Of course not, but I’m your friend, I just want the best for you.

Pryde:
Well, having somebody watch your back is always good.

Elijah:
Well then it’s settled, we’ll get your revenge.

Pryde:
No wait…

Tabitha Reign w/ Greg Reign (D) v Cip Conduit (F+)

Theocott:
Reign has his wife by his side, he’s made it clear he’s only here to help his family, Conduit, hasn’t given us one. He’s a tough dude though.

This is an even contest with Conduit’s and Reign’s brawling. Conduit starts with generic brawling and it does reasonably well til Reign turns the tide. Reign brawls around the ring with Cip but eventually Reign gets over his ring rust and takes it to him but Cip runs away. Reign follows him only to Cip to go back in the ring and stomp on him when he goes in. Reign is up pretty quickly but Cip goes back to work again but Reign fires up. Flying Forearm, Cip is down, Rayne scrambles and locks in the Rayne Fall (STF) and Cip taps.

Valentine:
Longing for something you can’t have, huh?

Conduit:
No, I just..

Valentine:
Listen, everybody wants to be successful, but for you to do that, you got to do something that makes you stand out. Look at you, you’re generic, you’ve no tricks, no nothing.

Conduit:
I.. I have a head band.

Valentine:
Not enough. The worst thing is you know you are missing something, you looked at me just there like I was a star, well, partly because I am, but also because you want to be me. If you want to be me, change your look, change your perspective and do whatever is necessary to win.

Valentine then walks off, his muscles sparkling in the light. As Conduit looks like he’s thinking.

Randall Hopkirk (D) v Peter Valentine (C-)

Theocott:
This is the big one, retirement match, this is the end for both these guys only one will get the win.

This is a brawl. Valentine throws vicious clubs and jawjacks with the crowd. Randall returns in kind, but Valentine quickly returns a clothesline. He locks on a headlock and shouts at Randall telling him he deserves this but Randall comes back. Throwing vicious strikes Randall is firing up and he’s setting up a Randallism (Back Suplex pin) but Valentine low blows Randall but the ref misses it. Valentine takes control and again berates Randall but it only fires Randall up. He comes back, right hand, right hand, right hand. Valentines in trouble. Randall’s measuring Valentine, Randallism (Back Suplex Pin), no, nasty elbow to the face. Randall’s eyebrow begins to bleed heavily. Randall is fighting blind, he throws wild fists and they connect, trying to wipe the blood from his eyes as Peter is on the mat, getting back to his feet. Randall tries to go on the attack again, but Valentine hits a thumb to the eye, blinding Randall even more. HEART BREAKER (Big Shoulder Breaker)! He got him

Okay, you’ve seen the first show, and before you go crazy here, there’s a few things I need to talk about. For one, I am not crazy. Let me tell you why.

So, remember when I said it all began when I met up with an old friend back in December of 2019, well let me tell you how that happened. So it’s four weeks before Ultimate Showdown and after sitting at home on my ranch for a while, I finally decided that doing that is boring as hell and I was getting a gut from all the beer I was drinking, which I wasn’t too happy about, so I got out and looked for some jobs. I first tried TCW, of course. With them moving to San Antonio, I could have gotten a nice job there, within driving distance, but they weren’t looking to add anybody, no surprise. QAW was another company that was pretty local too, but Farrah didn’t really want me, but to her credit she did try, asked if I could help some of the girls with promos and things like that. However, I was hoping for a more permanent role. So then I heard words through the grapevine about this company opening in Cali, which I wasn’t interested in, til maybe day four after I finished up the promo stuff with QAW. So I sent an email to see if I could get work there, sure enough, I got an email back saying that they’d happily meet up for an interview but I’d have to travel to Cali for it. Ugh, but I decided I’d fly out and have a holiday. So, I’m supposed to meet this guy in a cafe right, but turns out it’s right beside a gym and with like, protein meals and all that. Anyway, so I get there, like a fish out of water, and wait for whoever I was looking for.

“Randy! Randy!”

U6GYr7p.png

Low and behold it’s the man himself, Peter Valentine. Dude had gotten bulky, but still looked pretty good.

“Pete, what are you doing here?”

“Well, I workout here, how you been?”

So, as you can imagine, the king of con men finds a way for me to sit down and reminisce with him. To be fair to Pete, dude’s not a bad guy, he's got a bad rep. I mean the guy could sell fruit to a fruit merchant, but he ain’t a bad guy, just can be tough to deal with, which is why you tended to stay away from him in the locker room. That being said, I worked with him before, and he was fine, he just had a very business-like approach to the business, he’s not the only one either.

So after what, an hour of talking, I try to slink away.

“Sorry, Pete, but I gotta go, I’m supposed to have a..”

“Don’t worry, Randy. I know, you did great.”

“What did you mean?”

“I was the interview, I’m opening the new company and I just found my booker, you’re hired buddy”

Dammit, he caught me.

So, here was I, wanting to do some road agent work, maybe be a manager or personality, but nope a booker.

“Look, Randy. I’m looking for somebody I can trust. I know this business, but honestly, I don’t want to run the day to day of a business. So that’s what you’re gonna do, I’ll give you the money, you can do whatever”

It seemed a little too good to be true. So, I tried to get out of it.

“In Cali? I don’t really want to work here on a day to day basis. I’m going to have to refuse.”

“Oh, it doesn’t have to be set up here. Set it up wherever you want. I you’ll run it, book it and well everything else”

“So, I could set it up in Texas?”

“Eh, maybe New Mexico, Texas is a bit too far for me.”

Yeah, so in other words I don’t get to do anything I want, I’m out.

“Look, Pete…”

“New Mexico is closer to you, I’m being generous.”

Guess he’s right. Still though, I wasn't convinced.

“Look, this is the only thing I’ll influence, oh except that I want to do colour, other than that, it’s your show, your company.”

“Then why do you want to bankroll it?”

This was the main question I wanted answered, I can deal with New Mexico, it was only about an eight hour drive.

“Look, I understand that we’ll lose money before we make money, I can deal that, but I have some debts that I need to pay off down the road and frankly, I really don’t want to use my savings, so I took out a loan and decided I’d set up a company I know I can make money in. So, yeah, there you go. Make money for me and everything will be all good.”

So, I sat there, a new company under my belt. The creation of it was all down to me so I went with something I could get behind, so Outlaw Championship Wrestling came to be, a homage to my TWL days as Bandit #1, but Bandit Championship Wrestling didn’t have that same ring to it. Everything seemed great, but I forgot something, there’s always a catch with Peter Valentine.

OOC

Okay, with all the "opening posts" up I can go into a little more detail into what's the story with the diary.

Right so you get the basic idea, but the diary will be more focused on the shows, that being said there will be two stories being told, the shows (and the storylines that are being told in the ring) and the behind the scenes stories. The backstage stuff won't be there between every show, it'll be a little spread out when so I can tell the story when it needs to be told. I will do some backstage stuff with events and such. Okay with that out of the way, I want to announce there will be a prediction contest and a prize. It'll be the end of the (in-game) year before the winner is announced.

I have a schedule for this diary too, to post a show twice a week. Originally it was going to be Wednesday and Saturday, but I'm going to change it to Monday and Thursday, though I'm not sure if I'll start next Monday or Thursday given the full game release date.

Finally, I want to bring attention to what I call "Arrival Banners". The Randall Hopkirk and Peter Valentine arrival banners were introduced in the last show. They are basically banners to signify the characters theme song for when people come to the ring, for angles, interference, etc. It's used so you instantly recognise who's arriving so surprise debut's and returns will feel like a big deal. Feel free to let me know what you think of them.

I will also be using this space to reply to comments and such post show, so let's do that now.

Niiiiice!!! Loving this already buddy. I'm intrigued to know who he'll be fighting... Could be a whole host of people!!

Looking forward to this- I'm using some of the same guys in my RMW game that will probably turn into a dynasty so it'll be interesting to see how you use them.

Enjoyed reading so far - glad someone has given Outlaw a chance, love their logo and style.

Thanks a lot of your support guys. Glad you came to have a look Lloyd!
:)
. I've had this diary in my brain ever since TEW 2020 was announced, of course I've had to make a series of changes to the roster due to a lot people I wanted being signed up by other companies.

Enjoyed the first show! Lots of clear characters already, I think Conduit is my favourite so far.

Thank you. Conduit? Interesting. I like him, just wasn't expecting him to be person who people would like, at least not after show one.

Randall Hopkirk v
???

If this is really Hopkirk's last match, he is the type of guy who would put over a star of his promotion to give them a boost, instead of squashing someone to fill theor own ego, so I think Randall will be looking at the lights and putting over the new generation.

Randall Hopkirk
v ???

While I do agree that there would be more value on Hopkirk putting someone else over, I instead make my pick with the idea that the opponent here is in with just one and done deal and that the real catch is some announcement Hopkirk would make after being victorious.

Randall Hopkirk v
???

It's hard to be certain without knowing who the surprise guest is- if it's an old rival like one of the ex-TCW guys I could see Randall winning. That being said, it's more likely to be someone Randall puts over as the others have said

I can understand these reasons. However, if you guys knew who the actual owner of the company was and that he was going to be his opponent, I'm sure you all would have picked Mr. Squiggles, which would have been Valentine.

Oh damn.

The plot thickens, huh?

Oh, you have no idea.
;)

Right, now next show predictions. The result of previous shows predictions are being recorded, I will release them at a later date.

<em>This is actually kind of tough one as Silver already looks better stat wise but Williams is more over. In the end, I go with more established guy for now but I won´t be surprised if I end up being wrong here</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Leftie Wilkes</strong> v Gio Peltoni</p><p>

<em>Based on first show, Wilkes seems to be higher on pecking order</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Again, going with mores established guy here over rookie even id that angle with Romeo and Haley makes me think Romeo ain´t going to win a lot, at least not until that story runs it´s course.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Chip Martin (F+) v Cip Conduit (E-)

Theocott:
Cip suffered a tough loss last time out, tonight he introduces Chip Martin to the OCW fans.

Valentine:
I hope he took the advice I gave him.

It’s a decent brawl early on, Cip is very generic but Chip comes out fighting. As Chip gets the upper hand, Cip pokes him in the eye and that gives him the upper hand again. Chip fights hard but Cip cheats at every turn and Chip can never get the momentum to get into a rhythm and Cip hits the Kick It (Running Boot) and that’s enough.

Theocott:
Romaro needs this win tonight, Zippy makes his debut, a pretty big match here.

Valentine:
I heard Zippy introducing himself to everyone, the guy needs some ritalin. And Romaro, when he shouts his voice is so screechy, I don’t like listening to him either.

This one is a very even match. Both men are small and quick so they have a very fast opening but Zippy takes control with a swift kick to the head. It’s not enough though as Romaro uses his nails, raking his back to get the control back. Buck shouts out instructions and Romaro does what he’s told. He momentarily takes his eyes off the match to take a peek at Buck’s beautiful face but Zippy comes out firing. Strike after strike after strike, but Romaro hits a low blow, the ref misses it, roll up, 1…. 2…. He got him.

Wilkes is smart, but he’s one of those idiot smart people.

Wilkes, the smaller of the two, tries to use his quickness to attack and it’s an excellent tactic. Peltoni can’t keep up but when Wilkes tries to end it, Peltoni powers out, flinging him across the ring. Wilkes goes back on the attack but Peltoni again uses his strength to get the upper hand. Wilkes has a plan B, tire him out, he tries to hit and run and it works okay, but Peltoni catches him eventually and slams him to the ground but Wilkes isn’t going to give up. Jay Silver (F+) v Ben Williams (E-) w/ Jerry Pepper

Theocott:
Williams and Pepper seem to be here to make trouble, Silver wants to make sure they don’t ruin his home state.

Valentine:
Guys like Jay Silver are the lowest type of people, at least Williams and Pepper are honest with what they are here to do.

Silver is ridiculously intense. He grabs Williams by the head and begins unloading the knees from the clinch, Williams blocks them but bails to the outside. Williams' arms are clearly hurt from the intense knees. Jerry Pepper goes over to his partner in crime and they have a chat. Williams gets back in the ring before the ten, Silver starts throwing strikes again, he misses a headkick, followed by a missed spinning heel kick. Theocott notes how impressive these strikes are. Silver then grabs the head again, he’s about to unload the knees but Williams stands on Silver’s foot before slapping Silver in the face. Silver is not happy. Head kick connects and Silver is on the attack. He swiftly puts together incredible combos before Williams covers up as Silver backs him into a corner. Williams drops down though, grabbing Silver’s tights and dragging him, his face connects right into the middle turnbuckle, that allows Williams to regain his breath. Williams goes on the attack, mostly just simple but very effective brawling. It’s a bad strategy, Silver can brawl too, unleashing strikes again. Head kick connects with the ref, Williams dragging him in front of him! The ref’s down, nothing is protecting Williams, flying knee, smashing Williams’ nose. Blood begins gushing out, Silver has Williams at his mercy… SMASH!

Pepper makes his presence known, chair shot to the back of the head. Silver’s down, Williams picks him up and holds him for Pepper’s Fistful of Dynamite (Looping Right Hand). Pepper holds up Silver too, Williams hits the Fastest Kick in the West (Super Kick). Pepper revives the ref, Williams pins him, that’s the three.

DeAnna Desire here with Remmington Huniette and…

Huniet:
It’s Huniet.

Desire:
What?

Huniet:
It’s Huniet. Not Huniette. There’s an ay sound at the end.

Desire:
Right..

Huniet:
Yeah, maybe research a bit more.

Desire:
Sorry..

Huniet:
Don’t you worry, I’ll just hire a new interviewer, so don’t..

Desire:
No no, I can do it. So, Mr. Huniet, what is your deal with The Reign Family?

Huniet:
The family? I don’t care about the family. Just Tabitha.

Desire:
Why do you care about her?

Huniet:
She’s my next prize. My initial plan was to come in here and master this sport like all the rest, but she can be my warm up.

Desire:
You do realise she’s a person right, you can’t just take her?

Huniet:
I’m not going to, even though I probably could if I really wanted to. She’ll choose me over that idiot of a husband and she’ll leave him and come be my girl.

Desire:
And what makes you say that?

Huniet:
Let’s just say I usually get what I want.

Charlie Corner is backstage, playing a guitar. Randall Hopkirk comes up to him.

Hopkirk:
Nice playing.

Corner:
Thanks.

Hopkirk:
I could show you a more comfortable way to hold it, but I’m not here for that right now.

Corner:
Oh, well, what’s up dude?

Hopkirk:
Your match, it’s the main event tonight, just thought I’d let you know it’s been moved.

Corner:
Wait, I have a match tonight?

Hopkirk:
Yep, and your agent got it moved to the main event. Should be good publicity for you. Good luck.

Hopkirk walks away.

Corner:
I… I have an agent… Cool.

Corner starts playing his guitar again as we see Haley Buck in the background.

Elijah:
Of course, I’m always here to help.

Pride:
Well, yeah, you have but I...

Elijah:
Well, I guess you’ll need some help tonight to keep Steele away so I’ll...

Pride:
No, not at all.

Elijah:
I thought you would. I’ll see you out there.

Elijah w/Jack Pryde (F) v Todd Havers (F+) w/ James Jolson

Theocott:
These guys have a bit of conflict they need to settle here though it may be one sided.

Valentine:
Oh, give me a break. Pride ruined Havers tan on purpose and I know how frustrating that is.

Havers is much bigger and stronger and uses that to his advantage, Pryde’s inexperience hurts him as he challenges him straight on, but he can’t do anything against Havers’ strength. The lights shine too bright but Pryde is getting used to it all. Havers’ plodding strategy allows Pryde to come back firing on all cylinders, but Havers dodges a corner rush and Pryde hurts his ribs. Havers then concentrates his attack on his ribs with bear hugs and abdominal stretches. Pryde is hurt, but is able to fire up. The crowd is getting behind him, right hand, another, off the ropes, a clothesline misses, Havers grabs the arm, he has him in the full nelson looking for the Six Pack Slam (Full Nelson Slam) but Pryde counters, with a beautiful snapmare and a kick to the back. Havers slowly gets up, Pryde is waiting. Flying forearm connects, kip up. Pryde shouts with intensity, he is red hot and ready to finish this. Havers gets back to his feet again, Pryde is waiting, PRYDEFALL (Leaping Spike DDT). He hooks the leg 1… 2…..

CrUMJ9v.jpg8OB8bQj.jpg

Jolson is up on the apron, costing Pryde the match. Pryde is up to try and stop Jolson. Elijah gets in the ring. Havers is out, but Elijah has the strength to lift him to his feet, Pryde turns and see’s Elijah hit THE END (Chokeslam) on Havers. Pryde goes over to Elijah, he’s not happy he has interfered. Elijah pleads with Pryde to pin Havers, he’s just trying to help, but Pryde refuses, he won’t win like this. The ref turns and Elijah leaves the ring. The ref then goes over to Elijah, barking at him to see what he was up to, Jolson takes advantage, THE DEATH PENALTY (Running Powerslam) on Pryde, he places Havers on top of Pryde. He goes out to the apron and axe handles Elijah into the back of the head. The ref turns, there’s a pin. He counts it, there’s three.

Charlie Corner (F+) v Remmington Huniet (D-)

Theocott:
Huniette got a win last time out thanks to interference, tonight he faces Charlie Corner, not only did he win clean last time out, he’s been courted by Haley Buck it seems.

Valentine:
Oh, please. A win is a win. Don’t say it as if these guys achieved different things. The both got the W, and that’s all that matters. And this whole thing with Buck, he’s lucky, he doesn’t know what he’s rejecting, she could get him a lot more of these. Oh and by the way, it’s pronounced Huniet, you idiot.

Corner uses his strength early but Huniet is smart bailing from the ring at every opportunity to try and annoy Corner, but Corner is not dettered. He let’s life come to him and it’s the same with wrestling. Huniet attacks the legs, but no, it doesn’t. Corner uses his strength and tosses Huniet across the ring. Outmatched, Huniet begs for mercy, offering Corner a wad of cash to leave him be, Corner doesn’t want it, so Huniet throws it in his face and quickly transitions into a roll up, 1.. 2…. No, Corner powers out. Huniet is on the attack again, trying to tie Corner up in knots, he’s too strong and gets him off him, Huniet leaves the ring for a breather but Corner follows. Drop toe hold by Huniet onto the steel steps, he takes control. He flings Corner into the steel barricade. Huniet will take the win by countout at this stage, but Corner keeps getting up. He goes to throw Corner into the other steel steps, but no Corner twists out and… CORNER CUTTER (Cutter). Both men are down and Remmy is out, But Corner has to get him into the ring for the pin. Theocott remarks that if he could’ve pinned him, he’d have gotten the three, while Valentine adds that every moment, Huniet is regaining his breath. Pulling and dragging at Huniet’s lifeless body eventually gets it into the ring, Corner covers, 2…. NO! Huniet kicks out, he had too much time to recover. Corner tries again, Huniet pushes him off into the corner before grabbing him and flinging his shoulder into the ring post. Huniet charges at him as he stands in the corner but gets a urinagi slam for his troubles as Corner uses his other arm. Corner readies himself, CORNER CUTT.. NO! The shoulder is too hurt, Huniet attacks, throwing Corner’s shoulder into the turnbuckle, before hitting a modified belly to belly, that lands Corner on his shoulder. Corner is writhing in pain on the mat, MONEY SHOT (Flying Leg Drop) right onto the head and shoulder, Corner cannot kick out.

Remmington Huniet

Theocott:
Charlie Corner showed so much heart, he proved he could beat Huniet on any given night, but the experience and training of Huniet gave him the win, it wasn't Corner’s night tonight.

Valentine:
Huniet’s been training for years and that’s the best training that money can buy. Corner may be big and strong but he doesn’t have the smarts to do anything to win. Huniet knew what he had to do and did it perfectly.

Theocott:
Well, that’s all we have time for, see you again in a fortnight for more Outlaw Championship Wrestling.

Greg Rayne v Elijah

No idea who Elijah is since I don´t find him on database with that name but regardless, Rayne so far looks like your main star so I doubt he´s losing this one unless Huniet decides to interfere and Elijah is actually big enough name to go over Greg even with help.

Jack Pride v Cip Conduit

Pryde (or Pride) is someone who I haven´t figured out yet as he has gotten some promo time and seems to have storyline going which would indicate that he´s getting a push but on the other hand have two losses (although both on guys who I would expect to beat him) which suggest that he´s not that high up on ladder. Cip feels slightly more winnable than the earlier two but I still feel he´s bit too much for Pryde right now so I go with Pryde losing after refusing to cheat.

Chip Martin v Jerry Pepper

Chip has better star quality but Pepper looks slightly better to me otherwise and has tag team going so I go with Pepper here.
