...and now for something I've never done before...

Hi everyone, I'm Lloyd. You may be familiar with my many WWE Diaries, and my C-Verse Diaries. I've taken on current day (at the time) WWE a few times, as well as 21CW (UK C-Verse), NOTBPW vs CGC twice (Canadian C-Verse, before they merged into the CWA) and RAW (Australian C-Verse).

I'm currently also in the middle of a WAR with
Togg
(Welsh guy, runs DOTM. kinda cool, extremely sarcastic. I think that's why I like him), over dominance in WWF vs WCW which kicks off in late 2001 and picks up from where his diary left off, with me controlling WWF, and him controlling WCW. You can find it
HERE
if you're interested.

I'm proud of each one of my previous works, and I'm really enjoying my current two player save, but real life gets in the way of a multi player at times, and it means we can't always update things at the pace we'd like. It means I have a few days sometimes between writing, and it's given me the itch to try something new and spend my evenings writing and creating, and playing my favourite game.

Shout out to
Eisen-verse
, who is a big influence on me, and his SWF works in the past have been truly sensational. I always thought I couldn't take on 'his' company and write for them, because of how he wrote for their main guys like Christian Faith, Jack Bruce, Vengeance, Angry Gilmore, Eric Eisen, Marat Khoklov. But with the exception of Gilmore, they're all gone now. It's a clean slate in that respect, and I hope to do them justice.

I also want to thank all of my loyal readers, and anyone who has ever popped in to check on one of my 'projects'. Maybe you've predicted, commented, read, lurked, or PMd me. A vote or nomination on DOTM always makes me smile, as I know it does for most of us. So truly, thank you to anyone who has given me any kind of support in the past. There are far too many of you to name, but you know who you are. Not you
Satyr24
.

There are also a number of renderers I've used for the worker pics here. SWF are always a company that get some love over at the C-Verse Rerender Project, and the stuff guys like
Shipshirt, King Bison, WillR0ck, smw
and many many others are putting out right now is simply superb. Their styles all seem to mesh well with one another too, which is always nice.

I've read through the SWF Discussion Thread, and I may or may not be stealing/borrowing some of your ideas from there for some of the characters and storylines. In my next post, I'll discuss the state of the company briefly, because they're in a really interesting spot in my opinion.

Any questions, feel free to fire away and I'll do my best to answer them. Most of all, thanks for stopping by.

...but what is the state of the Supreme Wrestling Federation right now...

You've probably all heard by now, but Richard Eisen is gone. He was forced to take Early Retirement after the findings of Operation Lullaby, which although tame in comparison to what we all thought they'd be, did enough to remove him from his position of power. His son Jerry took over the reigns and now runs the company. Richard's other son Eric is now retired, and acts as the Head Booker for SWF. Eric's Fiance Emma Chase is on the creative team.

I'll be using Eric as my User Character for two reasons: 1). I can bring myself out of retirement for a match when the time is right and use my popularity to help get someone over. 2). I'd like to have a go at playing as the booker, with an owner giving me goals and telling me what to do (and what I can't do). I'll detail the Owner Goals, as well as a few rules I've set myself, in the next post.

SWF have a number of interesting challenges to overcome, with the obvious one being USPW. I've had a look at their roster, and TCW's roster, and all of the guys I'd be interested in trying to get to 'jump ship' have a remaining contract of at least one year. So that's off the table. We do already have the biggest name in US Wrestling though: Rocky Golden! He's on a mega contract, but the amount of coin he brings in from merch covers his wages and then some.

We also have the impressive Scythe and the SWF lifer Remo as 'Major Stars'. And the roster is really well balanced throughout I feel. There are quite a few 40+ year olds, but they're all still relevant. The roster size is a slight issue, as I like to work with 30-40 guys in a 2 hour TV to monthly PPV schedule. We have 48 currently, but I can get around that using tag teams and stables I think.

The biggest challenge is storylines. We need five over 70 rated, which after booking my first show, isn't easy let me tell you. But here are the starting storylines, combined with the one or two I added myself. I've also tweaked a couple of the stories to include more workers:

Fear The Reaper – Rocky Golden, Scyth and The Crippler

A fresh big money feud in SWF is the World champion Rocky Golden vs the "Dark Reaper" Scythe. Both men have been very strongly booked recently and are hugely over with the audience, so this clash between two extremely hot acts has led to a lot of excitement. For Scythe, working a main event program this early in his career is an amazing opportunity. As for The Crippler, this could be his last chance to get a World Title. Rocky and Scythe are formidable opponents, but he may not get another chance after this at 46 years of age. He'll be turning babyface on the first couple of shows to balance out the face/heel divide at the top of the card more.

Big Money, Big Problems – Brandon James, Krissy Angelle, Mikey Lau, Randy Unleashed, Huey Cannonball and Jefferson Stardust

The feud between Brandon James and Mikey Lau should be a good one given that both men are in form. It was looking like that anyway, until the cocky Randy Unleashed and his cronies took it upon themselves to talk badly about Brandon James' manager Krissy Angelle, (who happens to be both Huey AND Randy's ex). Brandon James and Krissy Angelle will also be turning babyface in the coming weeks for the same reason as The Crippler.

Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue

The SWF does have a perculiar love affair with triangular feuds (which helped convince me to add Crippler to the Rocky/Scythe feud), the latest being Remo vs Valiant vs Rogue. The long history between Valiant and Rogue brings a real depth to the feud, with Rogue playing both sides as much as he can. I'm going to keep Valiant as a face, with Rogue and Remo heels.

Lenny Brown vs Des Davids

Lenny Brown has been a huge success since joining the main SWF roster, but his feud with the North American champion Des Davids is his first real test, paired up against a more established performer who is on a hot streak of his own. How the feud goes will give a good idea of where the booking team see Brown's career heading.

Hawaiian Crush vs Fame and Money

A feud over the SWF World Tag Team titles, the clash between Rat Pack members Fame & Money and the hot new team of Ekuma and High Flyin Hawaiian is a breath of fresh air for the tag division. Rat Pack leader Hollywood Bret Starr and his other lackey Justin Sensitive are a little worried that Paul Huntingdon and Monty Trescarde may be about to meet their match, and have been added to the feud.

Supreme Star Rising – Spencer Spade, Dulce Moreno and Jungle Lord

The Spencer Spade hype train continues to roll on as he has been paired with the veteran babyface Jungle Lord. Given their respective career trajectories, there's no doubt that Spade will go over in the feud, which is exactly as it should be.

Atom Smashes

Atom Smasher is a superhero gone wrong. He thinks he's a babyface, protecting people from the heels, but in reality, his vision of who is good and who is evil is severely impaired. Angry Gilmore, Joey Morgan and Steven Parker all respect each other, and have formed a stable of fighters keen to prove that wrestlers and fighters are still the cream of Supreme.

ZWB vs Mainstream Hernandez

Just a classic case of 'who's better' really. Both guys have very similar skill levels, and it wouldn't take much work to bring them to a level playing field in terms of popularity either. As I looked up and down the roster, these two stood out as guys not in a storyline once I'd put the others together. Hernandez holds the distinction of being the ONLY guy (EDIT: apart from Gilmore, EDIT: and Lenny Brown) on the SWF roster that I've EVER written for in the past (he appeared in my second NOTBPW Diary, as did Gilmore and Brown). I've not booked for many of them in-game before either. Rogue did well in a recent 21CW save. I've had others in a brilliant two player save I did with
DAVEFAN95
right before the new game came out. But with so few ever appearing in a diary I've written, makes this a clean slate for the characters I get to write for.

...what I can and can't do, based on owner goals from Jerry Eisen and my own personal rules...

Owner Goals – From My Own Damn Brother

#1 SWF must not fall below Large size at any point (expires 2 years). Ah. This may be a tricky one. It's okay though, Jerry's my brother. He wouldn't fire me for failing the most important goal he's set me, right? Right?

#2 Rocky Golden must be kept above 83 popularity in the USA. (expires 18 months). He's 91 now. If I fail this one, I deserve to be fired.

#3 Jerry wants to have four tag teams with 40+ experience (expires 3 years). Shouldn't be an issue, but I'll have to make sure I don't keep splitting teams up for no reason. I may also need to add one or two and build their experience up.

#4 You cannot hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than 60 in psychology (expires 2 years). Dominic DeSousa (52) is a worry here. He has 8 months left on his contract. I don't see how I'm going to do it. I need to get lucky and get him a mentor somehow I think. Big Smack Scott and Matty Faith (60) aren't 'less than' 60 right?

#5 You can't hire any wrestler who is classed as having an Impactful Style (expires 22 months). It rules out a few guys I like: Joshua Taylor, Kozue Kawashima, Reaver, Samoan Machine, Viktor Beskov, Ernest Youngman. Hmm...

My Own Rules I'll Try To Stick By

#1 No new signings may debut until someone's contract expires. I saw this on the SWF discussion thread and loved it. As I mentioned in one of the last posts, I like a roster of 30-40 guys for this kind of 2 hour TV to monthly PPV schedule, and we have 48. I don't need any more, and I've never written for any of these guys except Mainstream Hernandez, Lenny Brown and Angry Gilmore. So I shouldn't need to make ANY signings. But I'll use this rule, and replace someone who leaves I think.

#2 I won't be bringing Jack Bruce, Vengeance and others back for another match. I may use them on TV for highlight videos, or the occasional appearance. Vengeance's son being in developmental is intriguing to me. I've always liked the family feuds in wrestling as I think it adds more drama. But a Bruce/Golden or Vengeance/Scyth Supreme Challenge rematch will not happen.

#3 One Brand. One A-Show. I'm going to try and keep this succinct and as close to how the SWF are in the current data. We don't need a brand split, or a second show right now. We don't need to sign a bunch of people and bring them in to inflate the roster. If I keep it to one TV show a week, I can get to PPVs and move the game along quicker.

#4 If I notice someone is on the ‘Time Decline’ I will make sure they move into a role where they are putting younger talent over… No exceptions… I don't know who is and who isn't right now, but apparently it appears in the Road Agent or Dirt Sheet notes during a match. I'll keep an eye on this.

If anyone has any fun suggestions for rules, I'll consider them all.

That's a decent set of goals, I like. Sign me up to this one.

Looking forward to this SWF is my go to fed

Good to have you both on board :D

I'll be running a monthly Prediction Competition, and I give out pretty cool (truly awful) prizes normally. Booking decisions, new signings, things like that are all up for grabs.

Excited for this. SWF is one of, if not my favorite company to play. So much talent ready to replace the aging stars and then their is a ton of star power in RIPW. They really are set up for success long term.

I can't think about RIPW right now, because the Main Roster is so stacked. I'm interested to see who I get to break out from the guys like Randy, Starr, Spade, Mainstream, Primus, Davids... Then there's the next level like Robbie Wright, DeSousa, and all the RIPW... and that's just the heel side!

I get WWF late 90s vibes from the way the roster is set up. Loads of younger guys ready to break through. Couple of former tag team Champs on the verge (Bumfholes, Davids, Smasher,)... Maybe we'll buy USPW one day and do an invasion?!

Glad to have you on board buddy. hope you like what's coming.

I'm aware that last post was a bit of a 'nothing' post, as you can find out the Champions from the data... So let's get a bit of crowd involvement.

You can PM me the answers if you'd prefer, or just respond here :)

Just give a name or two to the following categories, or answer the following few questions if you have the time:

Rocket -
Who would you like to see get a damn ROCKET strapped to their back and be pushed to the moon!?

Shovel -
Who would you like to see get buried until they're so far to the bottom of the roster, they become useless!?

Run -
Who on the roster would you give an SWF World Heavyweight Title run to!?

Duo -
Has anyone had any fun tag teams with this current roster, or any suggestions for one. The roster's big, so putting two guys together makes just one 'act' if that makes sense!?

Rocket - 'The Show Stopper' ZWB

Shovel - Chill never did much for me if I had to pick someone

Run - Primus Allen

Duo - Big Smack Scott & 'King Of The Streets' Kurt Laramee (I realise they are already a team but think they should be pushed more as such than I typically see happen)
