Welcome

Hello everybody welcome to my TCW Dynasty! This is my first ever dynasty on this board (if you don’t count prepubescent Kieran writing things that are now deleted) but I’ve been playing the franchise since I saw a dodgy comment on a WWE 13’ Universe Mode Youtube video saying that TEW 2013 was a better alternative to Universe Mode. Boy was he right!

As a result of enjoying creative writing and boredom caused by the UK lockdown I decided to start a dynasty with Total Championship Wrestling!

My go to save is the SWF on this game, but I already have a save where I’m in 2024 so I thought I'd try my luck with TCW!

I will probably be playing around with formats with my first shows so I can find what I and you guys like.

I’ve never been able to get into any save (other than the previously mentioned SWF save) but I’m looking forward to this and I like the pre-booking I have done thus far.

My user profile is Brent Hill, the TCW Head Booker. My owner goals are pretty easy thankfully. All I have to do is gain popularity in the US over 2 years, keep Aaron Andrews and Wolf Hawkins above 71 popularity, and not hire psychopaths or wrestlers that have had prior problems with the law.

With TCW I was a little upset that the International Championship was retired just before the game started, but I’m not looking to radically change anything that is ‘canon’. I will be keeping one TV show a week and the 3 Championships. The Television Championship will be the midcard title and will absolutely not be defended on PPV.

The first show will be uploaded soon, but first I will post a match-card (after I've finished the roster pages) if anybody would like to predict. I hope you enjoy!

Unsurprising as it is, USPW have been named as our Company Of The Year for 2019, their third time of winning the award. They have dominated the American wrestling scene all year and seem to be firing on all cylinders creatively at the moment, with much credit due to head booker Rich Money.

At 44 years old, Rich Money has just had one of the best years of his career, and therefore has more than earned his award as Veteran Wrestler Of The Year. The current USPW World champion, whose third reign with the title has been ongoing since the summer, put in some spectacular work over the past twelve months.

To cap the best year of her career, the red hot USPW Womens champion Jaime Quine has taken the Female Wrestler Of The Year award. One of USPW's MVPs from the past year, Quine's work both as a character and an in-ring performer were fantastic throughout 2019.

USPW have shown no signs of letting up as the number one company in America, putting on an incredible show 2 nights ago at Made in America! The main event of Nicky Champion vs Steve Frehley was a brutal affair as always, with fan favourite Nicky Champion going over to send the fans home happy. It doesn’t seem like any other company can even come close...

The SWF continue to struggle, not taking home any awards for their year’s work. Jerry and Eric Eisen have done an okay job of steadying the ship, but when it comes to actually taking the ship forwards it seems they can’t find a way to take the next step. Their top star Rocky Golden continues to be the best part of any show they put forward, as seen from the Christmas Clash Pay-Per-View when the best (and only watchable) part of the show was Rocky defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Remo. After the match, Scythe appeared and made his intentions clear by chokeslamming Rocky and holding the World Heavyweight Championship high!

TCW Psycho Circus went down last night and saw Aaron Andrews successfully defend his world title over Joshua Taylor in a solid match. More importantly, the build towards the Total Mayhem XXIV main event began in earnest after the bout when Wolf Hawkins came out and engaged in a stare down with the champ. Overall it was a good show and continued TCW's recent hot streak.

Despite this hot streak, it will take a lot for TCW to recover from the ground they have lost on their rivals over the years. Even now after a good end to the year, fans are starting to get restless over the constant Aaron Andrews vs Wolf Hawkins match-ups, as we seem set to see the two clash in the main event of Total Mayhem for the second year in a row. This is after the two fought for almost the entirety of the past year! TCW are going to have to use talents like Jay Chord, Mighty Mo, Greg Gauge and T-Bone Bright in order to gain ground on their rivals.

Sammy Bach is very usable as a top guy as long and as long as he's not on a time decline can put on great main events with his fellow Well Known Stars.

Joshua Taylor to win for similar reason to Bach. Can become a main eventer and if not, a good upper midcarder.

If this had been against Killer Shark I might have had pause for thought. But Mighty Mo is the future star here.

One Man Army vs Maverick

First time I played TCW OMA was a bit part player. 2nd Time round I had Jay Chord with no feud for two months, and OMA had some blinding matches with him.

I never plan to push him, but he always puts on stellar performances. Won a world title in one game, when I had no plans on ever putting it on him.

Toughest call for me on this card. Just think Chance Fortune in particular has the greater upside out of the four that aren't the main eventers. Could see some heel shenanigans though.

Now...I’m sure you remember the main event of Total Mayhem 23, right ‘Ace’? Right guys? (Looks to his Syndicate ‘friends’ who nod smirking and laughing) I remember retaining my World Heavyweight Championship, pinning you in the middle of the ring”

Aaron Andrews: “Funny Drew...you never mention the fact I beat you two months later at Summer Showdown and TOOK your World Heavyweight Championship!”

[The crowd pops big for this and Wolf is clearly angered by Aaron]

Wolf Hawkins: “Details...details. We don’t need to rehash memories of the past...let’s just look forward Aaron...because let’s face it, you might not even make it to Total Mayhem! I mean, maybe even tonight when me, Eddie and Nate take on you and those two losers whose names I can’t remember...we could take you out”

Aaron Andrews: “I mean I guess we can talk tonight, when Aaron ‘Ace’ Andrews (big pop) teams up with Darryl Devine (quiet pop) and my...uh...former...best friend...Chance Fortune (mixed reaction) to take on you three in the main event! OR...we can talk about how your lap dogs, Scout and Chris Flynn are still on the leesh!

[Doc Hammond, formerly known as Scout, looks up angered and Chris Flynn takes his shades off. Wolf puts his arms in front of them trying to calm them down]

It’s just, if Drew is ‘The Alpha’, then Eddie and Nate are ‘The Betas’, and that just makes you two his little bi***es, right?

[The crowd pops big once more, loving Aaron being his usual confident, cocky antagonising self]

Scout, or Doc, can I call ya Doc? You’ve been here for what 11, 12 years? And you haven’t had a World Heavyweight Championship shot! What if I offered you one? The main event of Malice in Wonderland…...the World Heavyweight Championship on the line…Aaron ‘Ace’ Andrews versus ‘The Silencer’ Doc Hammond. It has a ring to it, you know? You win...and you are the ALPHA in The Syndicate, and the World Champ!”

[Wolf goes to reply, laughing at Aaron’s attempts to disturb the group, but all of a sudden the microphone is taken by his right hand man Doc Hammond!]

Doc Hammond: “You’re ON!”

[Doc drops the microphone and just stares at Aaron from the ramp. Wolf is gob-smacked and looks absolutely incensed at his ‘companion’. Aaron has the biggest smirk on his face as he watches Wolf usher The Syndicate to the back, but before they exit...]

Aaron Andrews: “There you have it folks, I will defend my World Heavyweight Championship against Doc Hammond in the main event of Malice in Wonderland…..but don’t worry Drew...he won’t become The Alpha in your little pack...because I’m gonna kick his ass and remain...the TCW World Heavyweight Champion”

Kyle Rhodes: “I don’t know Jasmine, but I do know Doc won’t care about Drew’s feelings. He has worked his ass off for 12 long years and even if I don’t agree with his recent methods, I don’t think anybody can deny he is an incredible wrestler”

Shawn Doakes: “I agree with you Kyle, but we must move on as we are about to witness the in-ring debut of ‘The Rookie Sensation’ Yuri Yoshihara as he takes on a future TCW Hall of Famer, ‘The Elation Sensation’ Sammy Bach!”

Jasmine Saunders: “The poor kid could’ve had an easier debut, but he is taking on a surely injured Sammy Bach, who was defeated in a grueling match just two nights ago by Jay Chord!”

Kyle Rhodes: “This kid is talented and these are the big leagues, an easy debut doesn’t exist Shawn. If Yuri can pull out a victory here, he will immediately put himself in title contention!”

'The Elation Sensation' Sammy Bach vs 'The Rookie Sensation' Yuri Yoshihara

Pre-Match: Sammy extends his hand to the youngster, but Yuri lets fans know whether they should boo or cheer straight away when he slaps the hand away!

Finding an Edge: The two men start the match locking up trying to find an edge on the other. Eventually, Yuri manages to get the edge when he boots Sammy in his ribs (an area Jay Chord specifically targeted two nights ago) and Sammy drops to the mat. Yuri uses this to take control.

Not That Easily: After working Sammy for a few minutes, Yuri goes for his finishing maneuver, the Choke Sleeper, but Sammy is able to escape and blast Yuri with a massive dropkick! Sammy is seen shaking his head and saying, “Not that easily.”

WOW!: Sammy goes top rope going for his infamous Adrenaline Shot, but Yuri reverses by blasting Sammy with his own dropkick! This gets a two count and the fans are impressed at the kid keeping up.

Rookie Error: ‘The Rookie Sensation’ continues his control in the corner with lefts and rights. He takes a few steps back and goes for a massive shoulder charge but Sammy moves, resulting in Yuri going flying into the ring post! Sammy rolls him up for a two count!

Adrenaline Shot!: Yuri intercepted Sammy going top rope, but Sammy manages to fight him off with a few kicks to the skull. Yuri turns around only to be hit with a massive Adrenaline Shot! (Top Rope Flipping Neckbreaker) Yuri kicks out at two and three quarters to the surprise of Bach!

Game Over: Yuri fights his way back into the match up again with a massive knee to Bach’s stomach, but in his attempt to get for his Choke Sleeper, Sammy uses his athleticism to reverse position so he is behind Yuri and locks in his own signature sleeper, Bach on Your Back! Yuri fights but not for long, not many men have fought out of Sammy’s finishing submission.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Sammy Bach defeated Yuri Yoshihara in 14:44 by submission with a Bach on Your Back.

Winner: Sammy Bach

The self proclaimed saviour of wrestling. He beat me pretty good Sunday night...the thing is...in the King of Kings tournament the month prior, I seem to remember pinning him....1...2...3….so we’re all even Jay...how about we finish this?”

[The music of Jay Chord hits as the fans erupt into boos. Jay hasn’t been remotely liked in his 7 years with the company, but nobody can deny he’s damn good at what he does]

Well...Sammy...usually I’d reject a challenge like that...a challenge from a washed up...old pathetic excuse for a man whose ass I already kicked…[pauses to let the boos reign in]...but I can’t get that loss at King of Kings out of my head...even after dropping you on your head last Sunday...so I tell you what...my charity work for 2020 can be this...me and you...Malice in Wonderland...the final chapter and maybe...just maybe...your last chapter Sammy...”

[With this, Jay’s music hits one more time as he exits the ramp. Sammy isn’t happy with some of the insults that came his way, but he got his wish as he stands on the top rope hyping the crowd]

Simple Wrestling: If a match screamed TCW, it’d be this one. Two hard-working technicians get to work immediately locking up.

Not Happy: Joshua Taylor is clearly fighting with a chip on his shoulder, fresh off a championship loss to Aaron Andrews at Psycho Circus. He stomps on Dean in the corner only stopping when the referee is about to count 5.

Misery Ended: Dean Daniels tried, but he is no match for Joshua Taylor. Dean walks into Josh’s ‘hot new move’ which is where he hits a suplex, followed by a german suplex and then finishes with a falcon arrow all whilst holding on to his opponent. Then Josh locks in the Butterfly Lock (Double Underhook Lifting Lock) and Dean is forced to tap.

In a decent match, Joshua Taylor defeated Dean Daniels in 9:48 by submission with a Butterfly Lock.

Show of Strength: Mighty Mo is a massive athlete, but even he can’t prevent himself being lifted by Titan and dropped with a massive powerslam! This gets a nearfall.

Outside Shenanigans: Tana causes Shark to retreat, but he gets blindsided by Nick Booth and Eddie Peak! Floyd Goldworthy is in toe watching from afar. Tana is cleaned out by a massive clothesline courtesy of Eddie Peak.

Not as Intended: Mighty Mo starts chasing his rivals at ringside but they evade him. He gets back into the ring and runs into a massive knee! Titan seems set to take advantage of the distraction as he runs the ropes for a massive clothesline but instead runs into a massive Plunging Spinebuster, the finishing manoeuvre of Mighty Mo! The Sinner Society are unable to prevent the three count!

In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Mighty Mo defeated Titan in 6:08 by pinfall with a Plunging Spinebuster.

Kyle Rhodes: “These heavyweights are going to need a lot more than just a few matches to settle this war! It’s time now for our Television Champion Greg Gauge to defend his championship against Flying Jimmy Foxx!”

Shawn Doakes: “Of course, Jimmy and his friend Benny Benson both earned TV title shots when they beat Troy Tornado and Maverick at Psycho Circus, and Jimmy demanded he had his shot tonight!”

Messing Around: The two go to lock up but Jimmy steps back and hits a little dance. This frustrates Gauge who runs for a clothesline, but Foxx ducks and hits a dropkick! Greg bails under the ropes for a breather.

Classic: Greg takes control quickly after re-entering the ring when he hits Foxx with a chop block. Gauge continues to work over Jimmy’s right leg to gain further control.

Spirited Comeback: With the help of the fans, Foxx puts up a spirited comeback as he blasts Gauge with multiple clotheslines and finishes with a massive springboard clothesline! Greg stands up only for Foxx to plant Greg with the Foxx Dancing Bodyslam! (Bodyslam followed by Foxx dancing)

Ouch: After dancing, Foxx goes top rope for his finishing move, the Flying Foxx (frog splash) but Gauge is quick to his feet. Greg hits Foxx with a massive superplex off the rope rope! Gauge doesn’t go for the pin, instead locking Jimmy in his infamous Proton Lock (Muta Lock) which causes a very quick tap-out.

In a decent match, Greg Gauge defeated Flying Jimmy Foxx in 14:46 by submission with a Proton Lock. Greg Gauge makes defence number nine of the TCW Television title.

Hot Streak: One Man Army has been on a tear recently and he takes that into the opening of this match. He immediately takes Maverick down and gets to work.

Arm Drag War: Instead of trading punches, the two start trading arm drags with both men trying to get the advantage. Eventually, Maverick gets annoyed and levels One Man Army with a vicious uppercut.

Oops: After taking a left hook on the top rope, One Man Army takes a nasty fall onto the outside. Through no fault of either competitor, it seems that the force caused his head to jerk backwards, possibly suffering a Whiplash Neck Strain.

Fighting Through: One Man Army keeps fighting through the pain but Maverick has taken clear control of the contest. One Man Army manages to reverse a DDT and plant Maverick with a massive backbreaker drop!

Guided Missile: Taking control, One Man Army sets Maverick up for his Guided Missile (Northern Lights Bomb) and plants him for the 1...2...3.

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, One Man Army defeated Maverick in 15:59 by pinfall with a Guided Missile.

Annoyance Ended: Freddy eventually gets his hands on Elliot, and unfortunately for ‘The Ultimate Underdog’, the rest is academic. After working the kid for a few minutes, Freddy hits the Huggins Kiss (superkick) for the pinfall.

In a decent match, Freddy Huggins defeated Elliot Thomas in 6:30 by pinfall with a Huggins Kiss.

Tensions: Aaron volunteers to start for his team, but Chance Fortune takes offense to this and wants to start the match! Aaron holds his hands up and lets him, taking his leave to stand on the apron.

Well-Oiled: The Syndicate will win by any means necessary and there’s no denying they work well together. Chance Fortune is probably regretting his decision at this point, because he is being worked over in the corner by The Syndicate!

Hot-Tag! Or Not: Chance eventually gets the hot tag and despite Aaron screaming for it, Chance tags in his tag partner Darryl Devine. Darryl comes in hot taking out Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson, but a sneaky tag by Wolf Hawkins puts the heels in charge once more.

Ace Time: After reversing a suplex into a neckbreaker, Darryl crawls into the hot tag letting ‘The Ace’ come in! Wolf tags in Nate who comes in only to be flattened by a clothesline! Aaron hits another clothesline before dropping Nate with a dropkick! Eddie walks in and is blasted with a pele kick as Wolf watches from the outside.

Let Me In: Aaron controls the match for several minutes, proving why he is the champ. He sets up in the corner getting ready for a running senton when Chance Fortune tags himself in! Aaron is furious and so are the fans as Chance hits his own running senton on Nate Johnson for a near fall.

Devine Stop: Chance picks up steam on the recently tagged in Eddie Chandler, but Aaron gets revenge and tags himself back in! A shoving match in the ring ensues, and it is only ended when Darryl has seen enough and tags himself in! The chaos is enough though for Eddie and Nate to drop all three men.

Nobody to Tag: Darryl Devine puts up a spirited effort against the now legal Wolf Hawkins, planting the 3 time World Champ with a massive lariat! Darryl goes for the tag but...nobody is there! Aaron and Chance are still recovering on the outside, and when they both stand up they start their shoving match all over again! All alone, Darryl turns around into a Full Moon Rising (running enzuigiri) which knocks him out cold, giving Wolf the academic three count.

In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, The Syndicate (Wolf Hawkins, Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson) defeated Aaron Andrews and Devine Fortune in 21:40 when Wolf Hawkins pinned Darryl Devine with a Full Moon Rising.

The shoving match continues between the former members of The L.A. Connection (Aaron and Chance) as they don’t even notice the sound of the bell. Aaron pushes Chance to the ground and doesn’t follow up, holding his hands up to show he doesn’t want a fight. Chance doesn’t feel this way and tackles Aaron to the ground, hitting him with lefts and rights. Aaron reverses position and starts throwing his own punches.

The Syndicate have celebrated their victory and are enjoying the brawl on the outside. Wolf exits the ring for a front row seat as he watches from close. Unfortunately for him, Chance boots Aaron off him which sends Aaron flying into Hawkins. ‘The Ace’ recovers and, seeing Wolf up close, lays him out with a brutal right hand. This causes The Syndicate to rush in and attack.

Aaron and Chance are no match for the five men. Chance is drilled into the steel steps by ‘The Jock’ and enforcer of The Syndicate, Chris Flynn, whilst Aaron is put down by Doc Hammond who hits his signature Exploder Suplex on the outside!

Darryl Devine attempts to take everybody out with a suicide dive over the tope rope, but he is caught by Chris Flynn. Flynn flings Devine into the barricade leaving him down and out with his friends.

The Syndicate gets in the ring to end the show, standing tall among the chaos outside...
