『LET THE DEMONS OUT』

A loud murmur went through Iwate Hall on a cold November evening. „It was us against the world the last ten years and I'm proud of every moment we've seen in that very ring.“, a tear dropped from Ryu Kajahara's eyes. Warrior Engine held their very last rendezvous in front of the last remaining faithful souls with a battle between enemies: The Brothers In Vengeance toe to toe against The Berzerkers in a death match for the WEXXV Blood Brothers Championship. Nearly thirty minutes of back and forth action, Light Tubes everywhere and all of them were out of their breath. Shichirobei saw an opening and went for the kill but was caught by a huge lariat from Morisue who nailed the „Chaos Khan“ on the mat with his typical Powerslam. It was over! Not only the match but Warrior Engine as a whole. The lights went out..Silence..

Motoichi Arakida has been with WEXXV the entirety of their eleven years long run. The former Burning Hammer star left the wrestling business in anger when he had an argument with longtime boss Ryu Kajahara after the bankruptcy of Warrior Engine. Arakida was literally on the hop to do a journey around the world when suddenly he was invited to attend the annual Wrestle Peace Festival in the heart of Tokyo. He changed his whole mind about the business while talking to Ieshige Nishio and Taheiji Konoe about the demise of WEXXV.

Arakida cancelled his journey, made some calls and did a surprise announcement on social media: „Warrior Engine's demise wasn't easy for me. But the fire is still there and I'm happy to announce the birth of Ultimate Demon Wrestling, a spirital successor of our beloved Warrior Engine.“

Just another diary attempt of being "successful" and not being WCG:p I had the idea of doing a death match promotion for so long, made a post in the Preview thread in February (!) and erased all ideas out of my mind the last weeks. With now being a second time dad my free time is limited. But we all know those problems when you watch something and all ideas went back to my head and so here we are. I'm trying to "simulate" a realistic japanese death match promotion. My goal is very similar to my goal in WCG: Not to conquer the wrestling world but try to do it very realistic. Let's have some fun.

What can you expect? I'm not sure yet. My english isn't that good, so don't expect lenghty write ups. It's going to be much more "Purolove" style as in WCG, too. It won't be a very deep, character driven diary tho. More just like a report about the save, I guess.

Check out my most successful dynasty on here to get to know my style: White Canvas Grappling

『ARAKIDA Q & A』

<div style="font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(139,0,0);"></div>

1mOoRm8.jpg

Just days later after his social media announcement, the longtime WEXXV man Motoichi Arakida gave an exclusive interview with Tokyo Sports Press about his new adventure called »Ultimate Demon Wrestling«. Magazin readers had the chance to ask questions about Arakida's new promotion and many more.

What were your issues with Ryu Kajahara at the end of WEXXV? (Shinji Ishikari): „It wasn't personal at all. Ryu-san and myself had some arguments at the end of WEXXV's demise. He had some thoughts about the direction of the promotion and I had mine. It's not an exciting story for Tokyo Sports Press or you fans, to be honest. I think Ryu-san's time as a promoter was over, I could feel that he was exhausted. I would love to invite him to a future show of UDW. He's a father figure for me though.“

What's your idea behind UDW? (Sakata Kiyoshii): „The idea is pretty simple. We're not Warrior Engine but we're like a spirital successor to them, to our past. You can expect to see some familiar faces if you're a WEXXV die hard, but Ultimate Demon Wrestling isn't going to be Warrior Engine 2.0. First of all UDW isn't based in Sendai like WEXXV, UDW will based around the Tokyo area, around my hometown. Living in Sendai was great, but since WEXXV's bankruptcy I moved back to Tokyo with my family. It was a no brainer. Let's say UDW will be the frontrunner of japanese death match wrestling in the heart of our beloved country. You can expect to see death match wrestling as it's best, hard hitting fights, young boys who are hungry for success and more.“

Can you give us a look into the future? (Taketa Kurou): „I'm not a wizard or a magician. I hope we'll see UDW still existing in the future with having a lot of fun with our fans and wrestlers. I would love to have some international partners, having the best death match wrestler outside of Japan at UDW would be wonderful. And yea I can say that we're already in talks with Shogun TV to broadcast our shows on television which is super exciting.“

We want names!!??? (Masashi Matsumoto): „Haha, don't be so impatient, Masashi! But you're right... I mean there is only a logo and a name so far, nothing more. You death match fans should know a bunch of guys who are already signed for the inaugral show of Ultimate Demon Wrestling. You can expect to see the Brothers In Vengeance, Hiroshi Morisue and Battle Sakata! Taheiji Konoe will be in action and Washi Heat is going to show up in Shinkiba. Speaking of Shinkiba: Our debut show will be at The Shinkiba Square in Shinkiba, Tokyo on January 21! “

Thanks for your thoughts , appreciate them!

UDW president Motoichi Arakida said it before, but we'll say it again: The Brothers In Vengeance will headline the debut show of Ultimate Demon Wrestling in the heart of Shin-Kiba! Death match fans can be excited when the most decorated tag team in japanese death match wrestling are going toe to toe with two former Warrior Engine King Of Death Matches champion. Kimi Kawano and Eiichi Umehara as a team? Weird but reality!

Washi Heat isn't a proper death match wrestler but the mask man agreed to participate in a hardcore match against a man who calls himself "Hardcore": Toyokuni Hardcore is way more experience in weaponry, nevertheless Heat is known for his never say die attitude. Toyokuni's task is pretty simple: He wants to show everyone that he's better than Heat in every aspect.

A former Warrior Engine double crown champion (Warrior's Spirit & KODM) "Animal" Taheiji Konoe will be in action! Konoe, one of the faces behind UDW, agreed to test some young guns in his match. Taheiji is eager to take a closer look on guys like Awatari or Chajima. „It's one of my goals to see which younger guys can fit in an environment like ours. You need to be tough as nails, hit hard and don't be afraid of great lows -- I'm still determined and hungry for success though.“, said Konoe at the press conference.

„Ultimate Demon Wrestling isn't a place only for fierce death match competitor. We're open for everyone, happy for man and woman who are interested in a good fight.“, said UDW president Motoichi Arakida multiple times. His call was heard! Morimasa Kato and Tornado Nagai got in touch with Arakida and the latter was very happy to announce such great fighters. Kato and Nagai made a name for themselves when they were shoot-style wrestler with INSPIRE a decade ago. Nowadays the two combatants are mainly wrestling independent.

Their opponents are no strangers either! With Azumamaro Shimizu and Masashi Urogataya two former Golden Canvas Grappling men will have their debut with UDW against INSPIRED. We can expect a hard hitting fight with fierced strikes and much more. Shimizu and Urogataya kept faith with GCG until their demise in 2017 and now their eager to find success with the DEMONS!

Many non-contracted young guns will make an appereance at »Let The Demons Out!« including the tag team Cloaked In Shadows, Yuta Isono and Big Boss Emperor!

Hiroshi Morisue and Battle Sakata asked for a hardcore dance against two former WEXXV Death Match champions and it was on. It was a bruising fight all over the place, back and forth brawling action in which no one wouldn't back down. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;">

The „Mohawk Of Insanity“ finished the fight with his Running Powerslam on Kawano, just before Morisue fought off a rushed over Umehara with a brutal chair throw to the head, sending down from the Apron to the concrete floor. Afterwards Morisue thanked the present fans for coming to UDW's debut show, promised to keep his level of skills and he invited everyone in the wrestling world to come to Ultimate Demon Wrestling to test their strength against him. He may be laid off for too long after the demise of WEXXV, but he still got it. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;">

★ Hardcore & Death Matches aren't Washi Heat's hobbyhorse, he showed a tons of heart in his match against Toyokuni Hardcore but simply couldn't stand a chance in the armed duel. Toyokuni sends Heat face first into a pile of chairs and nailed him down on the seating with his Toyokuni Drill for the three count. „Strong H“ stated that he was shocked by Heat's miserable performance.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;">

★ Just before the Hardcore action started there was a technical affaire between four men. Above all Morimasa Kato had fun to have a trial of strength with Urogataya and his partner Shimizu in the ring. In the end the former INSPIRE man choked Azumamaro Shimizu out cold not only to win the match but also to make a statement towards all in UDW. Kato was disgusted by the death match action and stated that Warrior Engine isn't dead for no reason. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;">

★ Ieshige Nishio, the right hand of Motoichi Arakida, had his hands full with all the young talent in his match. The 45 year old may won the match for his team, nonetheless he was not pleased with his game. The former Chaos Demon #1 said that he isn't as fast as the younger ones, but he'll fight until he can't walk anymore. He praised Ishinomori for having the right spirit to succeed in Ultimate Demon Wrestling and beyond.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;">

„I'm happy with our performance. Umehara and Kawano are no joke, you know. But I say it before and I will say it again, we're not done yet. UDW is our home now and we are not in the mood to leave the field to other guys [..] I was impressed with the made up guys in the opener, we should face them soon.“

„Oi! What a bunch of pathetic people here. Let me get this straight. This lockerroom is full of has beens and whiny p*ssies! Instead of fighting greenhorns a guy like Konoe should face me and Tornado Nagai to have some real competition. KONOE! Are you afraid, Warrior Engine reject?“

„It was great to be back in the squared circle again. I'm not sure if I saw UDW's future today in the ring with me but Nishio-san and myself will invite some more younger people to UDW soon. This match was fun for me, but it did not fulfill me to be honest.“

„Man I'm out of breath. It felt like it was a decade ago since I got into a pro wrestling ring. Nevertheless I'll fight until I can't walk anymore. I'm a born fighter just like one of my opponents today..Sozen Ishinomori! He's got the right spirit to be very succesfull here at UDW and beyond. Mark my words.“

Morimasa Kato poked Ultimate Demon Wrestling's proudest member of the roster with his recent comments after UDW's debut show. Ieshige Nisho and Taheiji Konoe accepted Kato's challenge to a tag bout at the second show of Ultimate Demon Wrestling. Can the two loyalists beat the former INSPIRE fighters?

After his win at »Let The Demons Out!« Toyokuni Hardcore stated that he's the very best ultraviolent wrestler in the land of the rising sun. Washi Heat wasn't a serious threat to him, but Kimi Kawano could be one. The former WEXXV King Of Death Matches champion is ready to proof Toyokuni wrong.

Also we can expect the debut of Pro Wrestling SAISHO's "Lone Wolf" Motoyuki Miyake, a special hardcore match between Eiichi Umehara and Sozen Ishinomori and the biggest challenge of their career so far when Cloaked In Shadows collides with the Brothers In Vengeance!
