It looks like you've given Ishii's points to Eda. Surprised to see Kinjo fall to Naruto, so it'll be interesting to see where that leads.

I knew a made a mistake in my tables somewhere cuz my last table didn't match up! Thanks for finding the glitch, I've got it fixed... now to redo the other six screenshots lol

POST-SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

“The God Emperor” Kintaro Kinjo on his performance against “The Great Rebel” Oda Yamawaki- “Is it any wonder I beat him again? I am The God Emperor, and he is nothing but The Great Fool. It is a disgrace that I am tied with him in points, and an even bigger travesty that I have lost two matches in the Summit. I have but two matches left to complete, and Kinjo-jidai shall rule the day!”

Kozue on seeking a second Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match for his team with Magnum Idol, The Dream- “The champions were lucky last time, but Kozue and Magnum Idol will not make the same mistakes in a second encounter. Kozue simply looks better with gold around his waist, and Kozue will not stop until there is championship gold on Kozue’s belt. Cameron Cody and Junichi Matsuo; for you, at the Ozeki Summit Finals… The Dream is over!”

POST-SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Erik van Rijn on being dead-even with Ignite Muscle Army leader Kato- “As I’ve said before, we already went to war and I think we proved that no one wants it more than us… no one is more capable of taking the Summit than Ignite Muscle Army. Bruiser and the Pitbull are doing well in the other block, Harada is showing he still has what it takes. We’re going to take the Summit, mark my words.”

Koma Kobiashi on getting his points through forfeit this evening- “It’s bittersweet for a competitor like me; the points are nice, even when I’m not actively searching for the Summit at this point. To rest up is also nice; but, what I crave is to be in that ring, win or lose, every night. My final opponent in the Summit is Fergus Storm, and he will not make it past me.”

Fergus Storm on tasting defeat tonight, as well as Koma Kobiashi’s words earlier- “Listen, I’ve had it up to here with you bastards and your badgering, you hear me? This Summit has not gone the way I had hoped, but… but, like I said, always learning. I am always learning, always looking for my angles… learning the secrets of every person I step into the ring with, and things will not play out the same way twice! Fergus Storm is the next wave for United Promotions Japan, and, believe me, the revolution has only just begun!”

POST-SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Juro Deguchi on his undefeated run in the Ozeki Summi- “I was never so arrogant in the beginning as to say I could do this undefeated, but I knew I could win it all. As the league wins kept coming, my confidence grew, and I started to believe it could be done. Now I stand here with but the Finals left to conquer, and I say… bring it on!”

Erik van Rijn on falling short of a tie with Kato in their block- “It’s a personal disappointment, sure. But, as I said all along, Ignite Muscle Army would bring it all home and now my boy Kato is in the Finals against Deguchi. So, personal disappointment aside, it’s still a great day for me and my brothers.”

TOKI INK on his injury coming out of the night- “Something happened near the end with my back, I’m not sure what it is, but they’re telling me it needs to be checked out. It sucks to end the Summit this way, but congratulations to Alvaro Buey III on his big win tonight. We’ll meet again when I come back.”

PRESS CONFERENCE

April 26, 2021 from Saitama, Kanto, Japan

Presented by Blue Rhino, Star PPV, UPJ+, and Fokkusutēru Whiskey

V0nTyjK.jpg

■ Kenta Sonada is the representative present for United Promotions Japan once again, thanking everyone for coming before he runs down the finalized card for the Ozeki Summit Finals. After making brief mention of every match scheduled for evening, he gets right into it, bringing out the Block A and Block B winners of the 2021 Ozeki Summit, Juro Deguchi and Kato.

31In7tx.jpgjr8UCdt.jpg8DeYjQS.jpg

■ Deguchi and Kato come to the table, shake hands and bow to one another, then take their seats. The first question is for Kato, one of the reporters asking him if he feels intimidated by his opponent’s undefeated run in the Summit. “Intimidated is not something I feel headed into our finals match. I feel no fear, no uncertainty, no trepidation… Juro Deguchi is a worthy opponent and a decorated competitor. But, with all due respect, this match is a fighter stepping to the ring with a vicious pitbull. Not only am I going to beat Juro Deguchi, I’m going to rip him apart.”

Another reporter asks Deguchi if his confidence is high after going undefeated; Deguchi shakes his head.before speaking. “One can never be overly confident when stepping into the ring with a competitor the level of Kato, no matter what leads them to the ring. I do not believe in cockiness and overconfidence; I believe in hard work and results. I worked hard in the Ozeki Summit, and I continue to work hard for the finals… why should the results be any different? That’s not confidence, it is simply the truth. So, I will step into the ring with Kato, and, in the end, I will take the Summit before riding into battle with The God Emperor himself.”

Another member of the press follows up by mentioning Deguchi’s win over Kintaro Kinjo in the Summit itself, bringing a smile to Deguchi’s face. “Yes, I will have my moment in the ring with Kinjo regardless of the Summit finals… but, I am not focused on that at this moment. I have my match, and now I want my trophy.”

After a few more questions, a reporter asks Kato about the possibility of threepeating as Ozeki Summit winner, but Kato waves him off. “This is not about last year or the year before, this is about here and now. I’m not thinking about becoming a three-time winner, I am only thinking about winning this year. Certainly my third win will be a nice accomplishment, but there is no three-time winner without winning now.”

The question & answer session with the Ozeki Summit finalists wraps up, and they face off for the cameras before Sonoda sends them to the back.

■ After interviewing the Summit finalists, Sonada calls back to a few moments from the Ozeki Summit tour that brings about our card for the finals. He mentions Filipino Fire Power’s impressive run of matches, as well as the wars between Ignite Muscle Army and Kinjo-jidai before bringing up Ryotaro Naruto defeating “The God Emperor” Kintaro Kinjo. Sonada says that, as is Ozeki Summit tradition, Kinjo will defend his title against those who bested him in the league-- and that means he’ll be defending at the finals against Naruto.

RB75vLx.jpgEAw25u8.jpgMsJZWvt.jpg

■ Kinjo refuses to shake hands or bow to Naruto as they take the stage, offering his hand instead so that Naruto may kiss a gaudy ring on his finger. Naruto, of course, refuses by slapping the hand away, which causes Sonada to step between them and insist that they take their seats. Just after Sonoda opens up the interview for questions from the media, Kinjo raises his hands as if to wave them off. “The God Emperor will answer your questions momentarily, but first I must address my opponent. What happened in our match was a fluke, nothing more… you could not even best God’s Favorite one-on-one, what makes you think you have a chance against The God Emperor himself?”

Naruto answers confidently, “What makes me think I stand a chance? The fact that I beat you once before. I may not have beaten you with a Naruto Driver or made you submit, but I put your shoulders on the mat for the three count! I promise you, I will do it again, and this time I will take your International Heavyweight Championship!”

Kinjo and Naruto come together, jawing at each other and engaging in a shoving match to the shock of the reporters.

Kenta Sonada tries to restore order and allow for questions, but soon the rest of Kinjo-jidai are pouring into the media room from one side while Hall of the United Throne make their way in from the other. As workers push and shove in the media room, Kenta Sonada fights his way to the podium and demands order a few times before demanding everyone clear the room. Press begin to filter out as the two factions continue to needle at each other onstage, “God’s Favorite” Katsuhiko Ishii leading the International Heavyweight Champion Kintaro Kinjo through the fracas to safety.

2021 Ozeki Summit Finals Kato versus Juro Deguchi

I initially picked Deguchi, but Kato's been more consistent in getting high rated matches and Deguchi doesn't really need the win since he went undefeated in the block and already has a title shot at Kinjo.

UPJ International Heavyweight Title Match “The God Emperor” Kintaro Kinjo © versus Ryotaro Naruto

I like Naruto, but there is a reason Kato and Deguchi didn't even address the possibility of facing anyone but Kinjo as champion.

UPJ International Tag Team Title Match Pure MUSCLE (Atonga & Taheiji Ebisawa) © versus Filipino Fire Power (Amado Ocampo & Apolinario)

I'm actually temped to bet on Fillipino Fire Power since Atonga & Ebisawa could both be big singles stars, but I don't think the time is quite right on it.

UPJ Junior Heavyweight Title Match “The Steampunk Assassin” Jin Fujiwara © versus Furosuto

Really tough call because Furosuto rules, but I think Fujiwara beats him here and further establishes his place on top of the junior division.

UPJ Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match Cameron Cody & Junichi Matsuo © versus The Dream (Kozue & Magnum Idol)

Cody & Matsumoto are both very talented, but the Dream have been getting a strong push and I think they take it here. Kozue is also one of your top stars, so it makes sense to give him a tag title reign to keep him in a good spot getting Idol and the tag division over while you've got others who can challenge for the singles title.

Eight Man Tag Match Kinjo-jidai (“God’s Favorite” Katsuhiko Ishii, Mr. Yamashita, Waotaka Eda, and Torture) versus Ignite Muscle Army (Erik van Rijn, Bruiser Cassidy, Alvaro Buey III, and Takehide Harada)

50-50 here, but I like the guys on the Ignite Muscle Army side more so I'll go with them.

2021 Ozeki Summit Finals Kato versus Juro DeGuchi

I can't look past my pick at the start of the tournament, Kato, making it 3 in a row. Old man Deguchi isn't up to it any more and he's already earned his last title shot.

UPJ International Heavyweight Title Match “The God Emperor” Kintaro Kinjo © versus Ryotaro Naruto

I love Ryo, but come on.

UPJ International Tag Team Title Match Pure MUSCLE (Atonga & Taheiji Ebisawa) © versus Filipino Fire Power (Amado Ocampo & Apolinario)

Let's go MUSCLE!

UPJ Junior Heavyweight Title Match “The Steampunk Assassin” Jin Fujiwara © versus Furosuto

I know Jin's only just won it, but it's Furo.

UPJ Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match Cameron Cody & Junichi Matsuo © versus The Dream (Kozue & Magnum Idol)

Team Kozue probably should be winning, but I love the combo of Cody and Junichi so they're my pick.

Eight Man Tag Match Kinjo-jidai (“God’s Favorite” Katsuhiko Ishii, Mr. Yamashita, Waotaka Eda, and Torture) versus Ignite Muscle Army (Erik van Rijn, Bruiser Cassidy, Alvaro Buey III, and Takehide Harada)

Kinjo-jidai don't need this, Kinjo will be retaining, let's give Muscle their moment.

2021 Ozeki Summit Finals Kato versus Juro DeGuchi

Kato will make history with a 3peat... Right? HardRock Juro already has a title shot and his undefeated run sounded like a last hurrah

UPJ International Heavyweight Title Match “The God Emperor” Kintaro Kinjo © versus Ryotaro Naruto

I mean hey, easiest pick of the card I guess?

UPJ International Tag Team Title Match Pure MUSCLE (Atonga & Taheiji Ebisawa) © versus Filipino Fire Power (Amado Ocampo & Apolinario)

Ok, might be the 2nd easiest pick of the card.

UPJ Junior Heavyweight Title Match “The Steampunk Assassin” Jin Fujiwara © versus Furosuto

I expect a NJPW style "first time champ loses really quick before scrapping back to a 2nd title run" here. Plus, Furosuto rocks (I think he's 5th in Franchise Players list when you start with in UPJ?)

UPJ Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match Cameron Cody & Junichi Matsuo © versus The Dream (Kozue & Magnum Idol)

The Dream is a fantastic idea (that I shamelessly stole for a quick UPJ game)

Junichi should go for the single gold after that!

Eight Man Tag Match Kinjo-jidai (“God’s Favorite” Katsuhiko Ishii, Mr. Yamashita, Waotaka Eda, and Torture) versus Ignite Muscle Army (Erik van Rijn, Bruiser Cassidy, Alvaro Buey III, and Takehide Harada)

Ishii's momentum keep going. I predict he pins Rijn setting up Ishii & Kinjo vs. Kato & EVR before the 2 singles match

JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH

HARDROCKCITY ©

(CAMERON CODY & JUNICHI MATSUO)

-VERSUS-

THE DREAM

(KOZUE & MAGNUM IDOL)

The show begins with an exciting Junior Heavyweight tag team match, with Cameron Cody & Junichi Matsuo being played to the ring by a live band. The Dream have an elaborate entrance with silver pyro and a stage full of mirrors.

The young guns from HardRockCity marking just past the five-month mark on their title reign. The Dream, on the other hand, have only been tagging together recently but one might never know that by watching their fluidity and tandem work in the ring. While it looks as if the reigning tag team champions will retain throughout most of the match, Kozue turns it up a notch for his team in the closing moments by taking out Matsuo with a K-Drop that takes him out of commission. That leaves Cameron Cody all alone, and for he and his partner, the Dream’s Over as Kozue & Magnum pick up the win.

JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH

"THE STEAMPUNK ASSASSIN"

JIN FUJIWARA ©

-VERSUS-

FUROSUTO

“The Steampunk Assassin” is becoming known for his over-the-top entrances on big shows, and he lets no one down here, combining his steampipe stage entrance from Showdown in Hiroshima with a flamethrower-like weapon that shoots steam and pyro like a giant Roman candle. Furosuto, always quiet and reserved, makes his entrance with giant ice sculptures on either side of the stage while it snows in the arena.

Fujiwara has gone from strength to strength since claiming the UPJ Junior Heavyweight Championship from Kozue, successfully defending it against the former champ in a pair of critically acclaimed matches. Furosuto is one of the biggest stars in UPJ, and may just be the biggest test for the new champ yet.

They start off with a handshake before circling and locking up, going into a lucha-esque sequence of back-and-forth technicals that ends in a stalemate and another handshake as the crowd cheers their approval. From there, we see a match not unlike what Fujiwara worked in his series with Kozue, with Futosuto working the knee to try and ground Fujiwara while he plays babyface in peril-- while it worked against Kozue, the crowd is less enthralled by it here when they are split between Fujiwara fans and Furosuto fans.

It is effective enough, though, with Furosuto playing the savvy veteran while not playing a straight-up heel. Furosuto looks good throughout the match, but Fujiwara proves to be better and a Glittering Fujiwara retains his Junior Heavyweight Championship in his third defense.

JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH

PURE MUSCLE ©

(ATONGA & TAHEIJI EBISAWA)

-VERSUS-

FILIPINO FIRE POWER

(AMADO OCAMPO & APOLINARIO)

No big entrances here, and this match plays out much the same as their earlier encounters, Filipino Fire Power looks really good against the tag team champions but can’t seem to get the job done once again.

Pure MUSCLE def. Filipino Fire Power in 16:15 to retain UPJ International Heavyweight Tag Team Titles [RATING: 73]

<div style="font-weight:normal;border-top:2px solid rgb(112,128,144);"></div><div style="font-weight:normal;border-top:2px solid rgb(000,000,000);"></div>

A klaxon sounds, and The God Emperor’s throne appears on the stage beneath a spotlight. The lights go out, and the entrance music of Kintaro Kinjo begins to play. As the lights come up, Kinjo is now sitting on his throne with the UPJ International Heavyweight title around his waist and an ornate crown on his head. He slowly makes his way to the ring, looking down on the crowd with a sneer the whole way.

He enters the ring, demanding a microphone and calls out Ryotaro Naruto; the fan favorite doesn’t receive a big entrance but he does come to the ring with a lot of fanfare from the crowd. Once he is in the ring, Kinjo begs off of starting their match right away and requests a minute to have a word.

He cuts a promo about how his followers, and especially his Favorite, have let him down lately. Kinjo says he needs people with fighting spirit and inner fire, and that he now believes no one has more of that in UPJ than Ryotaro Naruto, who nods in agreement. Kinjo offers a deal: forfeit the match, and take place at the right hand of his throne as God’s New Favorite!

Naruto fakes thinking about it for a few seconds, and answers with a dropkick as the match begins.

"THE GOD EMPEROR"

KINTARO KINJO ©

-VERSUS-

RYOTARO NARUTO

Naruto is on the offense from the beginning thanks to his sneak attack dropkick, taking the fight to Kinjo and stripping the belt off of his waist for the ref to remove from the ring. Naruto shines for the opening moments of the match until Kinjo sees an opening to attack Naruto’s back. Like most of Naruto’s big matches, the story evolves around Kinjo attacking his back and Naruto being unable to mount a comeback.

Naruto takes the beating of his life in this match, being on the receiving end of offense for more than half of the thirty-plus minute match. Kinjo looks to put him away with a Blue Flash, but Naruto’s never say die attitude shines through and he kicks out despite all of the punishment he’s taken in the match. Naruto fires up and no sells a few chops and punches, but Kinjo cuts him down and hits him with a second Blue Flash and follows up with a Godkill for good measure to pick up the win.

IGNITE MUSCLE ARMY

An eight-man encounter between two warring factions, made up mostly of Ozeki Summit competitors.God’s Favorite really shines in this match, having something to prove after The God Emperor’s comments earlier in the night. But it becomes clear that a showdown with Erik van Rijn is in the near future for Kinjo’s lieutenant after their time limit draw in Summit, the Dutch powerhouse seems to have his number every time they step into the ring together.

Aside from the EVR and Ishii mismatch, things are pretty even through the rest of the encounter with Alvaro Buey III in particular getting a chance to shine. In the end, Erik van Rijn pins Torture for the win as he stares daggers at Ishii on the apron.

2021 OZEKI SUMMIT FINALS

JURO DEGUCHI

-VERSUS-

KATO

Kato makes his entrance with all of Ignite Muscle Army in tow, wearing a long silver fight jacket like that of a boxer. Deguchi comes out alone, but with an electric guitar that shoots fireworks and smokes like Ace Frehley’s famous guitar solo. The men meet in the center of the ring for a dramatic fight announcement more common in combat sports, nodding at each other respectfully but refusing to bow or shake hands.

Kato takes the fight straight to Deguchi in a scene reminiscent of their six-man tag encounter at Showdown in Hiroshima, leveling him with lariats and suplexes before hitting him with a Zero Point Slam and going for an early finish. Deguchi kicks out and fights his way back, and then these two men go to war with chops and kicks and stiff shot after stiff shot. For the better part of thirty minutes, neither man is ever really “in control” as the momentum shifts back-and-forth, seemingly with every move fired off. It isn’t until Deguchi sidesteps a huge mafia kick from Kato and grabs him in a Deguchi Hold that anyone can say one of them has an upper hand.

The Deguchi Hold is locked in for a good amount of time, wearing down Kato as he tries to fight it off but the man who went undefeated through his Ozeki Summit block has his signature hold wrenched in tight. Still, Kato refuses to give up the fight, trying to rally the crowd to his side as begins to fight his way back after nearly a minute in the hold. The silver haired warrior fights his way to his feet, and drops Deguchi with a side slam to finally break the hold, and both men recover on the mat in the center of the ring.

Both men slowly get back to their feet, trading desperate chops on wobbly legs in an attempt to steal the momentum. However, the war rages on as unsteady chopping turns into furious brawling, both men the proverbial house of fire as they trade heavy-handed chops and stiff punches. Punching soon turns to kicking, and Kato finally gets the mafia kick he was looking for earlier to send Deguchi to the mat and claim the momentum of the match. Kato then begins to wear Deguchi down, stomping him all around before locking in a leg hold.

The story in the latter half of the match revolves around damage to Deguchi’s leg, as the veteran sells the injury well enough the ref even waves off Kato for a moment to check on the HardRockCity leader. Kato doesn’t allow it for long, charging back in with a boot to the face that seems to knock Deguchi for a loop. It isn’t long after that before Kato nails him with another Zero Point Slam, but the veteran kicks out once again. Deguchi tries to fight back, but keeps selling the leg, falling victim to a Running Hawk! Another close fall, but no win as Deguchi kicks out once again.

As we near the fifty minute mark in the contest, Deguchi rolls Kato up after the near fall for a near fall of his own. But, what follows the surprise schoolboy is nothing short of a beatdown as Kato stomps the living hell out of Deguchi before hauling him up whipping him into the ropes for another Running Hawk… but Deguchi takes two steps and crumples on his bad leg. Smiling as he gnaws on his mouthpiece, Kato nods his head and runs a thumb across his throat.

From there, Kato’s brutal Infinity finishes off Deguchi just as it did in the six-man encounter at Showdown, giving Kato his third Summit win in as many years.

Kato on winning the 2021 Ozeki Summit and becoming a three-time winner, "It was never in any doubt, not for me. I knew it would be Ignite Muscle Army at the start, and as the Summit progressed, it became clear that it would be me. I am honored to be a three-time winner, and I will claim the International Heavyweight Championship as my final prize at the top of the Summit."

"The God Emperor" Kintaro Kinjo on his words of disappointment about Kinjo-jidai, "I meant everything I said to Naruto, but the fool denied me. I have been disappointed in my Favorite, and indeed in the rest of my cadre. You will see a regrouping, and an improved Kinjo-jidai as me move forward, I promise everyone that."

"God's Favorite" Katsuhiko Ishii in response, "The God Emperor is displeased, and he has made this clear to all. We will do better; we must do better. I will personally see to it that Kinjo-jidai serves their purpose with more precision from here on out, even if that means cutting the fat. I will not lose my place as God's Favorite, this I promise."

Kozue on The Dream claiming the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles, "Was there ever any doubt? Did you doubt Kozue? Pshaw! This is The Dream, and what would The Dream be without gold? For Kozue and Magnum Idol, The Dream is just beginning... but, for the rest of you? The Dream... is over."

POST-SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

“God’s Favorite” Katsuhiko Ishii on his new focus after Kintaro Kinjo’s displeasure with Kinjo-jidai, “I have always been driven, always given Kinjo reasons to favor me… I failed him, we failed him, in the Ozeki Summit and now every hard fought victory is penance to my God Emperor. With that in mind, I am laying out a challenge for the end of this tour to the man I failed to best in the Summit: Erik van Rijn, meet me at the end!”

Kato on Ignite Muscle Army’s recent dominance. ”It should come as no surprise that the end of the age of Kinjo draws near, and the Army is on the rise. We are the most powerful force in United Promotions Japan; it doesn’t matter if it’s Kinjo or if it’s Deguchi, the International Heavyweight Title will be around my waist when it’s all said and done.’

Go Takashi on his return to Japan, ”I know the fans have reason to distrust me, and that’s their choice. But I will prove them all wrong by continuing to rack up wins here in UPJ, Des Miller and Koma Kobiashi were just the beginning… I’m not content to sit on the sidelines like some young boy, I am here to be the best. With that in mind, I’m staking my claim and laying down the gauntlet now. Kato: meet me in the ring.”

POST-SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Juro Deguchi on his recent success, "It takes a lot of work to see this kind of success, and I work very hard for these victories. It will all pay off at the end of this tour when I challenge Kintaro Kinjo for the International Heavyweight Championship and I bring the gold to HardRockCity."

"God's Favorite" Katsuhiko Ishii on if his loss tonight will displease "The God Emperor" Kintaro Kinjo, "Any loss within Kinjo-jidai is reason to displease The God Emperor, even to a competitor like Juro Deguchi. The premiere athletes of United Promotions Japan make up Kinjo-jidai, and losses should not be excused. If Kinjo were here, he'd tell you, losses will not be excused... there will be penance for this, and I will not be the only one who pays."

Kato in response to Go Takashi challenging him at the end of the tour, "I never shy away from a challenge, so I accept. Go Takashi has served himself up as an appetizer for my showdown with Kinjo, and I shall happily eat him alive in the ring."

Fergus Storm on his plans following the Ozeki Summit, "Same as always, and that's winning prizes. Jin Fujiwara was on the losing side tonight, and he'll be on the losing side again should he step 'cross from me in singles competition. I'll take that right pretty Junior Heavyweight title from 'round his waist and hoist it over me shoulder. Get tae, ya prick!"
