My original plan was to follow on from my two TEW 2016 dynasty diaries "World Wonder Ring STARD✪M - Long Term" & "NJPW 2019 - Long Term", however I have decided to start fresh for TEW 2020, with my first EVER save in the CornellVerse! I will be starting in January 2020 using the default CornellVerse and as you can see from the title I'll be playing as ZEN: Art Of Wrestling, from New Zealand. My avatar will be that of ZEN owner, head booker, road agent and full time wrestler' Halloween Knight (as Owner). My goal here is to attempt the famous "Local to Global" challenge (Insignificant to Titanic as it is today). ZEN: Art Of Wrestling ZEN are New Zealand's first professional wrestling organisation. ZEN: Art Of Wrestling mixes the cutting edge athletic and technical aspects of lucha libre with a healthy dose of off-the-wall humour and zany characters. The emphasis is primarily on producing fun shows that the whole family can enjoy, and they do it well, but the quality of wrestling they produce should not be overlooked either. Although ZEN have gained a cult following over the years, they have constantly had to battle to make enough money to stay afloat; they have come close to bankruptcy on several occasions and have been forced to rely mostly on cheap homegrown talent to keep costs low. Rankings & Popularity ZEN: Art Of Wrestling are currently ranked 35th out of 35 active promotions in the game world, with an "Insignificant" fan base. ZEN have 0 popularity everywhere except their home region of New Zealand, which sits at 10 pop. ZEN currently have 0% prestige, 0% momentum and just $25,000 in the bank. TV & Events ZEN currently do not run a weekly TV Show, however they will run one event per month from the ZEN Temple. Broadcast Team Our current broadcast team consists of Announcer' Sparky Sparks (65 rating) and Colour Commentator' Dustin Thane (63 rating). However, we will not be using any Broadcasters for at least our first year. Referee Our current match official is 33-year-old New Zealander Steven Yale. Factions ZEN are known for their use of stables (factions/units), here is a list of current ZEN stables: 1. Alien Armada: Karrg The Conquerer debuted for ZEN in 2017, but it wasn't until two years later that his 'Armada' came together. It's the latest in the big rudo threats that ZEN have faced, although this time the entire world is at stake. So, no pressure. Lead by Karrg The Conquerer' Man O'War, Laguna The Loyal and Deathwatch Beetle make up Alien Armada. 2. Skullduggery: Skullduggery are Cyanide's group in ZEN. The original line-up was him, his student Lerone Slim, and the bad ass Rekha. Damian Dastardly is currently trying to earn his way into the group. Lead by Cyanide' Lerone Slim & Rekha make up Skullduggery. Championships ZEN Master Championship: *The top Championship in ZEN. Holder: ZERO - 20th Champion. ___________________________________ ZEN Conceptual Championship: *The secondary Championship in ZEN. Yeah, I did make some cuts and there are also roster members who haven't featured yet (I'm about 8 months into the save) so haven't gone into detail with them just yet. I went into this save totally bind to the CornellVerse, with only the workers write ups giving me any info about them etc.! Zen is a great starting point for people new to the C-Verse as it has a nice roster size and amazing characters! I'm a sucker for predictions so will have a go! ZEN Master Championship Match Pumpkin Jack vs ZERO ©. I'm digging the new ZERO, the contrast makes for an awesome heel! Halloween Knight vs Laguna The Loyal. Poor Laguna is about to receive the squashiest of squashes Cyanide vs Vertigo. Vertigo vs ZERO feud is the bread and butter starting point to explore ZERO's heel turn, although could easily see the numbers game of Skullduggery being too much for Vertigo. Man O'War vs Urban Fox. Urban Fox is a fun, exciting prospect who should benefit from working with "The Avenger from the Ocean" Your other diaries are top tier so it should be fun to see how this one goes! neslo024 Posted October 6, 2021 Share Posted October 6, 2021 Loving this so far. Zen is such a fun company and your workers won't be stolen for a long time if at all. There are so many good unemployed workers too that it will be interesting to see who you bring in over time. 1. Black Flash vs Damian Dastardly.: this might end up being the best match on the card as Flash is good but he's not taking down the foundation of zen. 2. HalloWarped vs SubUrban Legend.: tough call as they're both great teams but HalloWarped are Zen full timers whereas half of SubUrban Legend works elsewhere 3. Cyanide vs Vertigo (II).: Cyanide picks up the win to even it out and set up the rubber match. 4. Halloween Knight vs Man O'War: Man O'War is good but he's not a top guy imo but the next rung down.
