Just got to January 2031 and AAA has declared war on the following companies: BHOTWG, CZCW, CILL, Fantasy Pro Wrestling (FPW, which opened in 2024), IWW, and NYCW.  20 wrestlers have left the company including names like Alexis Lee Littlefeather, Monster Ishimura, Big Momma Maddox, Tex-Mex, and The Uprising.

Sidenote: I remember seeing earlier on that SHA and BGW tend to die off, well SHA closed in 2024, but BGW is still going strong, it even has over a $1 million in the bank.

AAA is screwed, that's a game changer tbf!

I've never seen BGW get that successful, but then I have never simmed that for forward!

AAA is in a downward spiral, because Karen decided to become head booker when she took over and looking over the results the highest rated show, she has put on was a 78.  Which is understandable giving that her booking skill is 30.  Looking back at AAA's results the year before Whitney took over, all their shows were in the 80s and 90s, now they're just lucky to have a show in the high 70s.

I just realised you said she bought them, they are no longer owned by the women's network?

Went looking through the data and realized that AAA's company did not have them as property of The Women's Network.  So, the problem is that my sim has had AAA being an independent company all this time and I somehow missed it.  Doesn't help that there isn't any indicator in-game to tell you if a broadcaster owns a company.

Wow yeah they aren't set to own AAA, that's a massive error in the database that somehow has never made any different in any of the literally hundreds of test runs I have done. How bizarre

Well, it certainly led to the biggest shock of the sim.  Funny how starting a ten-year watcher sim can create some crazy results.

  • lavelleuk changed the title to Alternative CornellVerse 2022 Mod (VERSION 1.05 RELEASED 19 OCT 23)

Thanks to @KyTeranthe mod has been updated to make AAA owned by The Women's Network, not quite sure how that one got past me

Obviously because it's only one change you can just make it yourself if you want to rather than re-downloading

On top of that when updated the file I noticed this is now at 1871 downloads which seems like a big number to me (maybe it's not but hey ho) so just want to thank everyone again who has given this a go

2026 UPDATE

Another quick update on the 2026 version of this mod. Japan's new companies and workers as well as all the started rosters have now been completed. I know I say this every time but I like the look of Japan in this version and while a lot of testing will be needed closer to release it all seems to be working pretty well. I hadn't realised how many extra workers were now in the area either, I want Joshi wrestling to be a big part of the mod and there are now (purely by coincidence weirdly) exactly 100 extra female wrestlers who live in Japan, plus many more from around the world who work in a Japanese company.

With the new promotions, both male and female, there is a lot of variety while still keeping Japan as a pretty "traditional" home of pure wrestling in the CVerse. So there should be something there for everyone I hope.

I am really curious to find out what happened between WINNOW and 5SSW. That's really a war where it can go everywhere, one could go out of business or both could become bigger and challenge the male companies than ever so it will be exciting to see what happens.

That's one of the reasons I wanted to really expand the Joshi scene, I think those two are great but without other women's promotions in Japan they feel a bit isolated so hopefully that won't be the case now

2026 UPDATE

So I managed to get the British Isles companies, starting rosters and future workers done really quickly - I don't know why as there was a lot of work on it!

I know I say on every update how I am happy with how things are going, but getting Britain to be a very active part of the game was one of my main goals when I started doing the mod and it's crazy where the region is now compared to where it started. I talk about women's wrestling in this mod a lot, but Britain has gone from having no female wrestlers at all in the database, to this mod now having 142 active women in Britain. A lot of that has been thanks to Azzak's add-on which has a women's promotion and a company with a women's division, but there has also been the Willr0ck add-on and the community add-on which helps too.

For anyone who is interested in playing in Britain in '26 on top of the extra women's wrestlers there are now 5 women's promotions and 18 men's promotions. So 23 companies in total - up from three in the default data and 11 in the '22 mod. There are also 417 male wrestlers - 123 more than in '22 and 282 more than default data.

I know the numbers don't mean much if it is boring or they aren't interesting, but I think people will enjoy the region thanks to the variety of workers and promotions, and the fact there are a lot of companies to help workers develop which means more chance of having unlikely future stars!

Is it near being complete?

Nah this is still just setting up the game world and creating the new workers, haven't even started editing the guys who were in the '22 mod.

With the amount of new workers this stage was always going to take the longest. At least with the '22 version I could use the new guys in TEW2020 for graduates, but this one I've done myself or with the future worker add-on, but even with that I had to create them rather than a quick import

2026 UPDATE

Europe starting rosters/new workers has now been completed. I actually thought it had taken me much longer than it had, I am very surprised to see it actually took a month to the day. That includes a week off too, so the fact I am getting through things much quicker now gives me hope that this won't actually take until 2026 to be released lol

I had a few thoughts going into Europe - at one point I was certain it would be my "cheat" area where POWER had swallowed everyone up and it would be just a baron wasteland and a dead scene, therefore not requiring much effort on my part

However, anyone who has followed this mod for a while will know that I am an idiot and love hard work so instead I have tried to develop the region and make it so even if you are doing a save as SWF or TCW etc there is always that chance you will find your Andrew The Giant, Alistair Black, Miro or WALTER.

So now instead of the 9 promotions (2 women's) in the 2022 mod and 3 promotions (0 women's) in the default data there are 26 active promotions (6 women's)

Most of these are very small, in fact 20 are insignificant or tiny, but it just means that behind the scenes in areas and companies you may never look at workers are gaining experience, building skills and it means the area has at least the potential to become a major player. But obviously if you are someone who likes playing in Europe (or Britain) it could be a game changer.

While I have tried to create some workers from forgotten countries I have concentrated mainly on building up a few specific nations to try and stop the area just feeling like one random place and to actually have different scenes and styles within it. So you will see more Germans and French workers than say Armenia and Cyprus, but if you are someone who plays in Europe I am hoping that each country or area in Europe feels a little different. I have tried to make this feel organic, so for example Scandinavia is much more active now thanks to the success and influence of Scandinavia Pro Wrestling. It hasn't just been "meh I'll throw 20 random Swedish guys into the game for no reason".

On top of that I will still be making sure things stay balanced, so just because Europe has more promotions it won't mean that some random French insignificant company will perform the same as one in the South West of America. It is still an area that is "developing" so you don't have to worry your saves will suddenly become dominated by Europe, it just simply means there is the potential chance for Europe to become a big part of games in the future

Only Oceania left to do now so this part of the mod is close to being over, and I believe this is the most time consuming so that's very positive!

I'm so hyped and impressed you're managing to pull together all these new promotions and rosters so quickly.

Your vision for Europe makes total sense to me. I've never played a save there and think that sense it all feels like one merged area is a factor in that, even if it's true to reality. This feels like the perfect balance: you maintain that freedom of movement that characterises Europe so wrestlers can show up all over the continent, but each individual promotion and roster base can feel more distinct to its location to bring the region to life. I love that 20 of the 26 promotions are tiny or smaller too both for the logical reasons you mentioned, and the fact it will make them easier to pick up and play. At the rate of expansion of this series, I'm predicting a full Armenian promotion in the 2030 edition 😅

Good luck with Oceania, and good call leaving the best CornellVerse region until last to reward yourself for making it this far.

I think it's well balanced too as one area might prefer traditional "pure" wrestling, but it's not like I've just created a load of technicians from that country, there will still be a mix of styles even if it goes against what their country traditionally prefers

Just one Armenian promotion? They need a deathmatch company too!

I like Oceania too, hope I can do it justice! That is a small game area though so I also like it won't be as packed as others. With four areas the size of Puerto Rico or smaller it doesn't quite need as many promotions as Europe haha

2026 UPDATE

Oceania new workers and starting rosters have been completed! Which means that what is the biggest process in making the mod has now been done. That should be all the new workers created apart from some non-wrestlers that will likely be needed, but I will create them as that comes up and they don't take anything like as long.

Just so people know my process the next step I am taking will be updating the all the promotions title histories. I will be doing that next so that when it comes time to update bios I will have that information to add. Because of all the new promotions I will also be having to create titles too so this could be time consuming, but not on the same level as creating so many new workers and promotions.

From there it will be all the bio and stat updates and then release, simple!

I hadn't actually planned this but this is a great stopping point and seeing as I now won't be able to do anything for a week or so due to Christmas it has actually worked out perfectly!
