CV77 - "That 70's Mod" - Updated

For a long time, I’ve tirelessly updated “That 70’s Mod” from previous versions of TEW to transfer it into TEW 2020. To those who are unfamiliar, this database (CV77) takes the Cornell Verse back to the 70's. A time where Richard Eisen was still building his empire. Attempting to put the wrestling territories out of business in the U.S. While in Canada Ed Henson promoted respectful wrestling across the country with the Canadian Wrestling Federation. In Mexico a new war sprung up as the National leader in Lucha OLLIE saw an exodus of top talent in 1975 to start a new promotion called Mexico Premier Wrestling Federation. Japan sees further competition with Golden Canvas Grappling & Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods, fighting for the number one spot as QUEST & Tokyo Championship Combat attempt to cultivate a local presence. On the Joshi side Japan Women's Wrestling & Yokohama Pro Women's Wrestling battle in a war over fans and style with JWW's more serious style against a western influenced YPWW. The British Isles are facing a lowly existence with Royal Wrestling Association the only promotion consistently running. But hope is on the horizon as industry insiders and fans have been lobbying the government to loosen rules on wrestling to make it a more profitable endeavor. In Europe wrestling is more a less empty with popularity being down after a high in the 60's. West Berlin Wrestling in Germany is the only company still profitable, originally propped up by the west for propaganda reasons. Australia recently has been in a slump with their biggest promotion Australasian Commonwealth Grappling going out of business in 1975. There is still a local scene with Pacific Championship Wrestling leading out in New Zealand. India is completely empty after a boom in the 60's wore off due to a lack of talent. Shows are run on a rare basis but the likelihood of a promotion popping up is small.

There are a lot of new additions such as:

  • Additional Workers
  • Updated Bios
  • Tag Teams
  • Companies
  • Titles & Title Lineages
  • Job History
  • Starting Storylines
  • Starting Injuries
  • Relationships
  • Wrestling History Additions for each Country
  • Among other new items

These additions will add major quality to the database with a more immersive experience than ever before. With many new avenues and characters to expand feuds, stories, and execute ideas. I have been working on this mod for many years as a personal project at first to experience the C-Verse in the 1970's. Then a tweak here and a tweak there lead me to creating a vast array of edits and additions to an already good mod. There is so much to go through that I believe will give an expansive experience when starting a save and a unique experience with each play through. There are so many great wrestlers and talents that find their way into the file now, with over 800 new workers added to the mod. These additions include wrestlers of the current default data, from Derek B’s awesome 1997 mod, as well as wrestlers I’ve created. These creations wouldn’t be complete without the work of the render makers who I would like to thank and send out my appreciation to. I will have a full list of all the people whose work is in the mod either from older versions or within this updated version. Thanks also go out to Adam Ryland and his team who’ve created such a wonderful game and the enjoyable base world of the C-Verse. Also thanks goes out to some of the people who help test out this updated version including Historian, Dalton, HeroDude, and Stennick.

Credit and thanks to artists (Old School Fan, Munit, Best for Business, willr0ck, LucasLutkas, ReapeR, Arlovski, Dalton, cooldude, Sisma, Markw, Keith Vegas Wife, SMW88, Brat99, Shipshirt, King Bison, J Silver, FINisher, Kamchatka, Clarity, UT666, Kobe, Ewanite, MJStark, LoNdOn, PaulSkln, SomeDude, Box of Whispers, jhd, MHero, The Thunderverse Team, Christian Shane, Dr. Grizzly, WalterSobchak, John Lions, Arlovski, Idolized, Atticus, Shmoe II, Bigpapa42, Stennick, BigDPW, gazwefc83, & Hollywoodshinebox.), and all those who helped with the current and previous versions of the mod. If anyone doesn't see their name here that thinks they should please message me on GDS at The Blonde Bomber.

Thanks also needs to go to the original creators of “That 70’s Mod”, Mr. T Jobs to Me, Jtlant, Peter Hilton, and Sadistic Baggings. Without them paving the street to begin with this amazing mod would not be able to exist. Their base has been with TEW for over 10 years from what I could research, which shows how important their work has been.

Updates will occur now and then to fix up pieces here and there, while adding totally new items. This has been a fun project to focus on throughout the years, putting so much love and care into making this the best it can be. Enjoy experiencing the C-Verse in the 70's as I know I will!

CV 77 2.2 Update

-Special thanks to Willr0ck, Idolized, John Lions, Arlovski, Waltersobchak, Hollywoodshinebox, Christian Shane, Stennick, BigPapa32, Schmoe II, BigDPW, and Atticus for AI Renders added in this update.

-76 New Workers added, Rusty Swan (wrest.), Dick Donovan (wrest.), Doug Donovan (wrest.), Don Donovan (Wrest.), Danny Donovan (wrest.), Jim Donovan (wrest.), Red Sloane (wrest.), Samir Khan (wrest.), Mr. Hannibal (Man.), Jimmy Streets (wrest.), Eesha Patel (wrest.), Bruise Borowski (wrest.), Strong Man Boris (wrest.), Gil Shaw (wrest.), Alexei Kamaroff (wrest.), Nigel Garfield (wrest.), Dale Garfield (wrest.), Muhammad Singh (wrest.), Steamboat Wally (Wrest.), Sam Davis (Man.), Pete Cassidy (Wrest.), Ernie Todd (R.A.), Utah Carolack (Wrest.), Bob Turner (Wrest.), Woody Marshall (R.A.), Richard Marshall (Wrest.), Billy McClain (Wrest.), Slim Jim (Wrest.), Claude Tillet (Wrest.), Barbara Beaty (Man.), Chief Black Elk (Wrest.), David Full Moon (Wrest.), Colomba Kilkenny (Wrest.), Werner Summet (Wrest.), Brandon Shaw (Wrest.), Diamond Darnell (Wrest.), Reed Schlensky (Ref.), Guy Rosary (Ref.), Stan Killebrew (Wrest.), Bucky Beane (Wrest.), Steve Whitney (Wrest.), John Nolan (Wrest.), Johnny Montague (Wrest.), Rube Vidal (Wrest.), Freight Train Ferris (Wrest.), Herb Dott (Ann.), Jake Deccaman (Wrest.), Mana Mofu (Wrest.), Vito Caldero (Colour, Ref.), Kerry Smith (Ann.), Johnny Gondell (Ref.), Johnny Montague (Wrest.), Michael Donovan (Wrest.), Jackie Donovan (Wrest.), Ginger McKinney (Wrest.), Abe McDonald (On-Screen), Angel Dust (Man.), Dan Kalt (Wrest.), Ridley Barnes (Wrest.), Yoshi Kuroda (Wrest.), Dingo Jack (Wrest.), Banri Tokunaga (Wrest.), Koji Arakawa (Wrest.), Kenji Takano (Wrest.), Paul Ulfding (Wrest.), Terry Ulfding (Wrest.), Diablo Armas (Wrest.), Noah Nance (Wrest.), Eddy Hallman (Ann.), Bobby Owens (Wrest.), Olay Soler (Wrest.), Earl Gilbert (Wrest.), Akio Akinawa (Wrest.), Hiro Oshida (Wrest.), Momo Nagaguchi (Wrest.)

-New Deceased Workers, Dick Holtz (wrest.), Janos Meggyesfalvi (wrest.), Omaha Sharp (Wrest.), Rafael Torres (Wrest.)

-AI Renders have been put in for many workers in the database along with skill changes to more accurately represent the renders.

-Multiple companies have updated logos, titles, and event renders.

-Added PCA, TWA, ASW, MAS, WRW, KRBO, & MWC to closed promotions at the start of the game.

-Titles have been added to give history to closed promotions added in this update.

-Minor cosmetic details touched up, including name changes, nationality changes, size changes, among others.

-Thanks to assistance from Darkness94, there a more wrestlers with Polish heritage in the Great Lakes region. With that, I decided to add a new promotion out of the Great Lakes run by Howard Sunnacker (fka Coyne) called Great Lakes Sports Club (GLSC). They have a history stemming back to the 30’s. In modern times they are struggling to stay afloat with an insistence on booking the same old talent as always, which is leading to diminishing returns.

-ETPW (Ernie Todd Pacific Wrestling) is now added to the database as a North Western-based U.S. promotion. This promotion has gained a reputation for poor payouts and a manipulative promoter in Todd who tries to swindle his workers. As the 70’s come to a close they are in a poor position with a closure likely imminent.

-WSW has been turned into Black Bear Promotions (BBP) to give it a more expansive feel. They formed via an exodus of ETPW, by Todd’s top star Papa Bear Reilly.

***ATTENTION***

This upcoming update marks the final installment featuring the current style of renders. Moving forward, all subsequent updates will incorporate AI-rendered images into the database, gradually replacing the original renders. Willr0ck has dedicated significant effort to employ AI techniques, so the update of CV77 workers is both quality and efficient. Additionally, I have obtained permission to include AI renders from Waltersobchak, John Lions, Arlovski, Shmoe II, Bigpapa42, BigDPW, Stennick, gazwefc83, Atticus, and Hollywoodshinebox in the next update. These, alongside AI renders I've personally created, will debut in the next release. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the progression of CV77 as the database enters a new era, starting with Update 2.2.

CV 77 2.1 Update

-The PCA North American Tag Team Titles have been added as historical belts from Ron Steele’s San Francisco Company (Pacific Championship Athletics) that went under in 1970. These Titles were worn by teams such as, The Mississippians, The Masked Maulers, Chief Pepper Tree & Yahoo Strongbear, Emil & Rafael Torres, and The Masquitz Brothers.

-New Workers added Sydney Bratt (Ann.), Robert Wessie (Ann.), Captain Cal Everett Howard (Man./R.A.), Ricardo Erellando (Man.) Dolores McGuire (Wres./Man.), Doris Bellantini (Wrest.), Eugi Herzog (Ref), Johnny LaReece (Ref/R.A.), Asatoro Zatara (Ref), Tetsahori Terahashi (Ref), Hiroe Tomoe (R.A.), Lorenzo Martino (Wrest.), Lin Zhao (Wrest.), Paul Quinn (Ann.), Masaru Ito (Ref), Yoshitaka Morimoto (Ref), Bob Song (Ref), Naoki Mori (Ref.), Joshua Trager (Wrest.), Pantera Roja (Wrest.), Mike Brown (Ref.), Akira Ishida (Ref.)

-Changed the name of Eric Graves to Bulldog Blatz. In addition, changed small details within WIW including items related to Joey Margarita, the Kuhaulua family, and the booking style of Nakana & Kai to be more frugal. This is to help with the explanation of why Hawaii has such an unknown limited roster, as opposed to the stacked roster they had in the 1960’s and early 70’s.

-YPWW has been updated with a new manager Ricardo Erellano as “Fang” for The Basilisk & Venom Nakamoto. Okichi Nakamoto’s name in the promotion is now Venom Okamoto and their team name is Poison Gals. More tag teams have been added all together to the promotion with the addition of tag team titles. The titles are called the WWA World Women Tag Team Titles. This is based off of JWW having the WWA World Women’s Title. YPWW retaliated due to growing hostilities creating their own belt with the WWA governing name. This has no lineage to the alliance that existed prior to 1956 like the WWA World Women’s Title does.

-Added injury histories for multiple workers to match their bios.

-The California Tag Team Titles have an updated lineage. They now have 20 previous holders since they have debuted in 1972.

-Some Japanese names have been updated, duplicates have been removed, and all profile pics added to workers thanks to assistance from Dr. Grizzly. She let me know which names were issues to be fixed and has been added to credit page on the right side of the data editor.

-Tokyo City Championship Combat or TC3 has been altered into Tokyo Championship Combat or TCC. Kien Shih & Ref Shih are now of Chinese origin. Lin Zhao is also apart of the promotion. A sparring partner of Kien, he along with Vladamir Nezorov were key members in the promotion. Lin & Vlad had a falling out in 1976 that led to Vlad’s exit.

-Micky Starr will now have no hair to go along with his picture.

-The SWF Referee Burt Dickens will now be Bart Dickens.

-OLLIE Monthly Show, Guerras de Alfombras is now a Normal Level show not a Lesser Level show.

-Altered the bios of Buddy Hollar, Laurent Robitaille, Jim Knobb, Harold Henderson, Vigilante, Francois Descartes, Ace McQueen, & Black Jack. McQueen now has an injury history for a torn meniscus that occurred in May of 1976.

-Added Retired Road Agents to MPWF’s Roster.

-Changed Francois Gransville’s name to Monsieur Republique.

-Revamped WBW’s Title Histories to make them more in-depth. Made questionable decisions to show why the promotion isn’t thriving like it could’ve.

-Monumental Wrestling Association will debut in June 1977. This is a promotion out of the Great Lakes based in Detroit opened by Barney LaRusso.

-Thanks to Willrocks extraordinary renders for CV77, there are updated pictures for the following workers…

-New Relationships are in the data. There are now 1000+ Relationships between workers.

-I added the European Heavyweight Title (Old). A title that has a lineage from 1945-1970. The final holder was Tank Griswold who's reign stopped when he joined UKWA.

CV 77 1.6 Update

Wales’ popularity in the New England region was the sole reason for existence. When he decided to retire, the promotion choose to stop using the Title.

-Added the UPW World Heavyweight Title as a retired title in GCG. This title was an alliance title in the 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Ray Tangello was the final champion. When the alliance disbanded, he continued to defend the title around the world. GCG built him as the defending World Champion in the early 60’s. UNITED STATES

As 1977 begins the Supreme Wrestling Federation continues to strive forward with their National Expansion of the sport. Richard Eisen has brought together an talented group of stars to do so with the likes of Hagar Erikson, Rocky Streets, The Blazing Flames, Rick Rumble, Ares Aegaleus, Ace McQueen, Black Jack, Antonio Moretti, and the biggest "Starr" of the show the SWF World Heavyweight Champion since the inception of SWF, Micky Starr. The business acumen of Richard Eisen has allowed his promotion to acquire a Cable Television deal in the later part of 1975. This allowed more eyes than ever to see the promotion and it's stars. The rest of the wrestling territories were less than pleased with this turn of events. For years promotions set up territorial boundaries to avoid confrontation and to keep the business out of hands of outlaws that could make a mockery it. Promotions like Gene Plumelli out of Boston (CWB), Dick the Devastator & Big Al Wallace out of Florida (AAFW), The Lone Star Stampeder out of Texas (TWL), Preston Holt out of California (CPW), The Lamberts out of New York (APWF), The Traegers out of Virginia (AWF), and Dale Christen out of Missouri & Nebraska (APW). Had become the biggest promoters in the U.S. All under the auspice of passive rules of engagement. No promoters would run a town claimed by a different promoter, call their championships a World Title, or steal wrestlers away from another promoter. Any one who would could get their promotion blackballed by the loose group of promoters. This was to avoid the downfall of the business that almost occurred during the 1950's where Alliances fell apart over World Championships, stolen talent, and running each others towns. Since the 1960's this agreement had seen all territories keep strong business. With wrestlers traveling from promotion to promotion. But could also see wrestlers blackballed for going against any one promoter. Now with SWF becoming a National power the whole structure the wrestling business had built since the 1960's had the chance to crumble. As some promoters thought the best way to challenge SWF was to follow suit and attempt to go National themselves. The first promotion to take a major step in doing that was AAFW out of Florida. In late 1976 they purchased AWF taking over Traeger run towns and TV in the Mid-Atlantic region. Thought AAFW has claimed to be committed to maintaining promotional boundaries this has some worried AAFW may encroach on them as well. One of these promotions is APWF owned originally by Steel Magnate Franco Lambert. But he turned the operation over to his son Terry Lambert in 1976 to focused on the flailing steel business. APWF has been a mess since with many wrestlers upset with the way Terry has run things. So much so that Terry's uncle Giuseppe was brought in to help sort things out. When AAFW took over AWF, Terry began to worry about AAFW coming to the Tri-State next. So Terry decided to come to Mid-Atlantic and ran some shows out of Maryland & Virginia which has ruffled feathers between the two promotions. The usual mediator of situations like this has been Gene Plumelli the promoter from Boston. With his advanced age and his business stalling during 1976 he has had his hands full. He has been able to keep the prosperous city of Boston out of SWF's hands, but has lost most of New England in the process. At age 72, Gene's way of running business has begun to be questioned by wrestlers and other promoters alike, along with his mental acuity. On the flip side of the struggling Boston territory is, the Texas Wrestling League. With a roster full of studs, their business in 1976 boomed led by Rip Chord, Pat Deacon, Mark Green, Floyd Bowman, Professor Nero, among others. As of this moment TWL seems to be in a great position to hold back any fights with SWF, in part due to their excellent talent and in part due to the lovable owner of the promotion Erick Campbell otherwise known as The Lone Star Stampeder. TWL was almost SWF's first victim back in 1972 when the promotion began. Richard Eisen poached Rocky Streets who has 25% owner of the promotion at the time expecting close the promotion in the process. Luckily for TWL The Lone Star Stampeder & Mark Krogan (who held a joint 50%) found the other 25% owner Clint Wayne who had left the country in 1969 for... (reasons unknown)... They were able to buy his portion of the promotion to halt any chance SWF had to take over the company. Rocky was the business side of the promotion though, with that he was able to talk to the network that aired TWL at the time and get them to take SWF over TWL since the TV Deal TWL had at the time was coming up. This left TWL with no TV for a few months until Stampeder was able to successfully run a write in campaign to different network to get TWL a new deal. These turn of events made TWL & SWF bitter enemies from then on and the two have battled behind the scenes ever since. A good neighbor to TWL north of them is APW. The promotion headed by legend Dale Christen runs a style that emphasizes holds and skill over personalities. A complete diametric opposite to what SWF produces. APW's success out of the Mid-West got Dale Christen thinking of something bigger. Trying to make what was old new again, he helped open a promotion in Canada called Canadian Sports Association. CSA & APW became an Alliance in the process with Christens hope of having a traveling champion in wrestling again, like he was during the 1950's, a possibility. When talking about going international there is only one promotion in the U.S. that takes that very seriously. That is California Pro-Wrestling. With talents from Australia, Europe, Britain, Japan, Mexico, and Canada, CPW has grown into a United Nations version of a pro wrestling promotion out of Los Angeles. Hosting wrestlers such as Fujiyama the Samurai, Extraordinario, Luis Montero, Preston Holt, Vigilante, Heidi Brooks, and Melissa Monroe. 1977 has the chance to be a big year in the history of professional wrestling. What will happen?

CANADA

The Canadian Wrestling scene is booming! But with only one promotion taking in most of the glory, that being the Ed Henson ran Canadian Wrestling Federation. The CWF opened wrestling in 1974 being the first non-government run promotion in many years since the events of the 1940’s and 1950’s. Ed Henson’s star making name in the U.S. led him to be a Canadian National Hero and the news ran with the idea of him bringing real wrestling back to Canada. Alongside many of the top Canadian talents like Dan Stone, George DeColt, Spencer Marks, Jean Pierre Baptiste, Frenchie Marcel, Woolly Steppe, and more. Jackson Andrews arrived in the promotion in 1976 as the Canadian Superstar and currently holds the National Title. The promotion has made Wrestling a national pastime in its short existence. Ed Henson knocked the wrestling wall down and slowly more wrestling shows have started to run in the country. Dale Christen of APW in the U.S. opened a Sister promotion called Canadian Sports Association out of Alberta. CSA had a rough start being ran by Christen’s ‘favorite problem’ Shane Vandross. But quickly there was a backlash that drove Vandross out and Canadian Legend Bill Dennison has been running the promotion ever since.

MEXICO

OLLIE has been dominating Mexico for close to 20 years. With the iron-fisted leader Sergio Barbosa as CEO they’ve become the standard bearer of Lucha Libre. Barbosa’s personality helped get the promotion to this point but is also the catalyst for the biggest competition opening up, that being MPWF. In 1975 four of OLLIE’s top heels left the promotion for various reasons and opened MPWF. The promotion has lured some big names into its ranks (mostly those with negative views of Barbosa). Luchadors such as Quasar, EL Fantasma, El Barbaro, El Aguilia Americana, Mephisto, El Tricolor, and Capitao Brasil are headlining for the company. Making it a unmitigated success in just over one year of existing. In OLLIE they’ve done what they could to ward off the challenge, with El Patron bringing in his recent movie counterpart The Pharaoh as his rival in the promotion with Magadelina Feliz (El Patron’s longtime manager and co-star) seemingly conflicted. The Soap Operaness of it all could be akin to SWF in the U.S. but it’s unknown how well it will work for fans of Lucha.

BRITISH ISLES

British wrestling is in a lull following the demise of the UKWA. The end of UKWA saw the British government enforce nationally recognized rules that made running shows incredibly difficult. Only the Royal Wrestling Association continues to be a consistently running promotion ran by Wendell Williams the former announcer of UKWA. Wrestlers, promoters, and fans have been lobbying the UK government to loosen up the rules on British wrestling. They seem to be gaining some momentum to get the rules changed, but no change has been confirmed. The top stars of British wrestling right now are William Riley, Tank Griswold, Mike O’Reilly, The McPeterson Family, and Cowan McBain. With the lull in business some of the former stars left to Europe, America, and Japan for work. If a solid company can break through the rubble perhaps the wrestling business can be rebuilt in the country.

JAPAN

The Japanese wrestling war continues as 1977 begins with Golden Canvas Grappling & Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods battling for the top spot of the country. BHOTWG has hit a gold mine the last few years being on the cutting edge of the Elemental boom that’s hit Junior wrestling along with having the biggest star in Heavyweight wrestling Master Kitozon. Since its development BHOTWG had two stars at the top of their Heavyweight Division that being Master Kitozon and Dayu Ichihara. Ichihara’s spot was left vacant after he passed away. Since his passing his protégé Tasuku Nandaba has been built to take his spot, meanwhile Master Kitozon’s protégé Seison Yamanaka has been trained for his mentors spot. Seison hit a major milestone beating his mentors for the Heavyweight Title in 1976 and is going into 1977 with the belt. Seison Yamanaka & Tasuku Nandaba will continue the battle of their mentors into the future, but with Master Kitozon still in the background how will that effect the future of BHOTWG?

GCG falling behind BHOTWG is not only due to the success of BHOTWG but the inner struggles of the Golden promotion. GCG’s head booker Hanshiro Furusawa took over booking from a burnt out Sadaharu Jimbo in mid-1975. Furusawa’s booking has led to heated arguments in the locker room with a few wrestlers most notably Yoshinaka Toshuai. GCG’s ace Sadaharu Jimbo still remains loyal to owner Junichi Monou who choose Furusawa as booker, believing the veteran knows what he is doing. But if the heat in GCG continues to get higher they’ll be cooked sooner rather than later.

Elsewhere in Puroresu, top Joshi promotion Japanese Women’s Wrestling continues to put on the apex of women’s wrestling worldwide. The likes of Nakamura Miharu, Chiba Chiba, Heidi Brooks, Yumi Yoshikuni, and more have put on spectacles of matches that have been on par and even better than matches involving men. Uroko Saki a Japanese Legend who wrestled in the dying days of Giant Pro Wrestling in the 1930’s opened QUEST: Heritage Wrestling in 1975 to keep alive the aspects of the sport that was associated to GPW. QUEST’s hook was bringing in Ryo Inozuki (a top wrestling star from GCG) alongside two of GCG’s top prospects (Inozuki’s trainees) Kyoshiro Kanashi & Fuuma Magami. Tokyo Championship Combat was originally called Combat Fighting Arts and was a Shoot-Style Promotion, but after failing to make a profit with the promotion they shifted their style to a more traditional Puroresu style which has allowed them to stay in business, but they are not in good shape. Yokohama Pro Women’s Wrestling or YPWW, is JWW's main competition yet a lot smaller than their competitor. YPWW is a version of women’s wrestling that combines beauty with the wrestling to try and attract more viewers who want to see beautiful women.

EUROPE

A barren land of small independent promotions can be found in Europe. The only company of note is West Berlin Wrestling that was created as a propaganda force against the Communist blockade around the area. The promotion was at first a spot for international talent to come make a splash and help the cause but now is more of Eurocentric promotion that has fallen off from its grace period of the mid-70s.

OCEANIA

Australian wrestling was a hot commodity in the 1960’s with Australasian Commonwealth Grappling leading the pact. ACG was middle and lower class hit with fans all over Australia coming to the matches. The likes of Connor Thompson, Spiros the Mighty, Killer Dennucci, and even Americans likes Antonio Moretti & Ares Aegeleus heading up cards. As the 1970’s progressed and the Australian economy faltered American wrestlers were rarely ever seen, attendances dropped immensely, and promoter Lez Chooma focused more on bloody brawls and hot-shotting the promotion. This was the promotions undoing. September 1975 they officially went out of business. Australian wrestling has been an empty scene since but has many great talents available if a promotion were to start back up.

I have updated the data to 1.1. Some new characters were added while some duplicates were removed. Also some workers were giving skill improvements especially for CPW who I noticed were having a tough time keeping their TV Deal. (Credit to Herochick on Discord for help with the duplicates and also the render for Willie Cecilio).

Here's some more old school 70's wrestling to get y'all in That 70's Mood :D.

Currently updating the database. Added four new workers, TC3 Worker Popularity decreased a bit, BHOTWG was given two more events to stop them from going out of bussiness in long term plays, I am now currently working on deleting some future promotions to cut down on load times. Focusing on getting rid of promotions debuting in the further future to give the best gameplay experience in the immediate era. In the future I want to update Broadcasters to make them more realistic for the time period, making them more in depth. Also making sure all venues can only be used once per night. Once I cut down on some more promotions I will release the next update.

It's been great to see the love for the mod, really happy that y'all are enjoying it!

So, I've only recently started playing the game again, and I've never played any of the previous releases of the mod for older editions of the game.

Any good ideas for a typical first save, or is this is one of those mods where it's better to jump in and find out?

For me I like to start with a smaller promotion that won’t overwhelm me. But when I first started playing TEW playing as SWF got me into the lore of the game a lot more though.

But it depends what type of player you are. If you like to dive into bigger promotions SWF or AAFW are for you. If you like a shorter schedule then Boston. Also depends what type of wrestling you want to produce. More realistic go with Boston, APW, or CWF. Wild go for AAFW or TWL. CPW fuses many different types of wrestling with talents from all over.
