Thank you for your kind praise. As for Sgt. Dillinger/Bubbles, I made Bubbles a gimmick to go along with his CV97 bio which talks about how he was one of the best hardcore wrestlers prior to getting signed by SWF and given the clown gimmick. So since this is prior to when he got the clown gimmick I gave him the Sgt. Dillinger persona instead.

Hey, just shooting a suggestion. But I'm noticing a handful of names in Japan that are bugging me. Stuff like Kien Shih (which is a Chinese name) being Japanese or Matsuo Michiyo (Matsuo is a masculine given name). If you want, I could take a pass at this and suggest some changes as you want, lord knows I consume enough Japanese media to think of something at this point.

CV 77 2.1 Update

-The PCA North American Tag Team Titles have been added as historical belts from Ron Steele’s San Francisco Company (Pacific Championship Athletics) that went under in 1970. These Titles were worn by teams such as, The Mississippians, The Masked Maulers, Chief Pepper Tree & Yahoo Strongbear, Emil & Rafael Torres, and The Masquitz Brothers.

-New Workers added Sydney Bratt (Ann.), Robert Wessie (Ann.), Captain Cal Everett Howard (Man./R.A.), Ricardo Erellando (Man.) Dolores McGuire (Wres./Man.), Doris Bellantini (Wrest.), Eugi Herzog (Ref), Johnny LaReece (Ref/R.A.), Asatoro Zatara (Ref), Tetsahori Terahashi (Ref), Hiroe Tomoe (R.A.), Lorenzo Martino (Wrest.), Lin Zhao (Wrest.), Paul Quinn (Ann.), Masaru Ito (Ref), Yoshitaka Morimoto (Ref), Bob Song (Ref), Naoki Mori (Ref.), Joshua Trager (Wrest.), Pantera Roja (Wrest.), Mike Brown (Ref.), Akira Ishida (Ref.)

-Changed the name of Eric Graves to Bulldog Blatz. In addition, changed small details within WIW including items related to Joey Margarita, the Kuhaulua family, and the booking style of Nakana & Kai to be more frugal. This is to help with the explanation of why Hawaii has such an unknown limited roster, as opposed to the stacked roster they had in the 1960’s and early 70’s.

-YPWW has been updated with a new manager Ricardo Erellano as “Fang” for The Basilisk & Venom Nakamoto. Okichi Nakamoto’s name in the promotion is now Venom Okamoto and their team name is Poison Gals. More tag teams have been added all together to the promotion with the addition of tag team titles. The titles are called the WWA World Women Tag Team Titles. This is based off of JWW having the WWA World Women’s Title. YPWW retaliated due to growing hostilities creating their own belt with the WWA governing name. This has no lineage to the alliance that existed prior to 1956 like the WWA World Women’s Title does.

-Added injury histories for multiple workers to match their bios.

-The California Tag Team Titles have an updated lineage. They now have 20 previous holders since they have debuted in 1972.

-Some Japanese names have been updated, duplicates have been removed, and all profile pics added to workers thanks to assistance from Dr. Grizzly. She let me know which names were issues to be fixed and has been added to credit page on the right side of the data editor.

-Tokyo City Championship Combat or TC3 has been altered into Tokyo Championship Combat or TCC. Kien Shih & Ref Shih are now of Chinese origin. Lin Zhao is also apart of the promotion. A sparring partner of Kien, he along with Vladamir Nezorov were key members in the promotion. Lin & Vlad had a falling out in 1976 that led to Vlad’s exit.

***ATTENTION***

This upcoming update marks the final installment featuring the current style of renders. Moving forward, all subsequent updates will incorporate AI-rendered images into the database, gradually replacing the original renders. Willr0ck has dedicated significant effort to employ AI techniques, so the update of CV77 workers is both quality and efficient. Additionally, I have obtained permission to include AI renders from Waltersobchak, John Lions, Arlovski, and Hollywoodshinebox in the next update. These, alongside AI renders I've personally created, will debut in the next release. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the progression of CV77 as the database enters a new era, starting with Update 2.2.

As the update of renders to AI continues here are some screenshots of new additions added to the database, along with some new renders. I'd like to thank Walter Sobchak, Arlovski, Hollywoodshinebox, John Lions, Idolized, Atticus, and gazwefc83 the many new renders that have been added to the database so far. Also of course, Willr0ck for his work updating rosters, logos, and events for CV77.

Sorry if this is already stated or just very obvious but I couldn't find an answer..

Looking to play the mod but I'm wondering if the default workers in the cornellverse will debut in this mod if you play/advance long enough?

For example if I advance to 2020 will all the workers be in this mod?

No some of the workers that debut in the 2000’s have been removed to limit the amount of people in the database, allowing for more workers to be created that are already debuted or will debut in the late 70’s and 80’s. The more workers in the database the slower the game goes. I felt it was more important to have an expansive start and first few years than have all the workers from the 2000’s and 2010’s.

And his images look a lot like late-period Randy Savage, shortly before his passing.  Nice job on those.  😁

I did base him off Sputnik but had no idea he had a brother. I got the Rocket name thinking of the fact Sputnik was named after the rocket 😅.

Two months removed from update 2.1 and with a lot more work to do making AI Renders for the Database, here's an update on some of the new additions coming with update 2.2. Besides the inclusion of AI Renders, multiple inactive promotions have been added to the database including, Pacific Championship Athletics, All-Star Wrestling, Kirby Rogers Booking Office, Mid-America Sports, Montgomery Wrestling Club, Tennessee Wrestling Authority, White Rose Wrestling, World Wrestling Associates, and National Japanese Wrestling Federation. Here's some more details on some of these promotions.

tftAhdw.jpg

World Wrestling Associates (WWA)

World Wrestling Associates was a promotion based on the Alliance that had been a force in the wrestling industry since the turn of the century. When the Alliance fell apart in the mid-50's Tooter Manley coalesced promotions out of the mid-west into one company that was the World Wrestling Associates. The top title remained the prestigious WWA World Heavyweight Championship. But Manley's promoting skills were subpar leading to disappointing results and back office shenanigans that eventually led to the dissolution of the promotion in the early 60's. Afterwards a discouraged Tooter Manley solely focused on his training school the American School of Wrestling.

Nhl2vcU.jpg

All Star Wrestling (ASW)

All-Star Wrestling out of Houston can be traced back to the early 20th century. Cards were consistently put on through the years in Houston and close towns nearby. All-Star got it's name in the early 1950's when promoter Goldie Siegel got TV for the promotion. ASW became a hot ticket in the country, even during the down turn of the late 1950's. The success seen by promotion during this period was in part due to an agreement Siegel had with a few other promoters throughout Texas to keep outlaws at bay. Following the relationship falling apart in the early 60's when promoters let their ego's get the better of themselves and attempted to expand through the whole state. That is when the infamous 'Texas Wrestling War' began. This led to the end of all wrestling promotions in the area due to large amount of hotshotting in a short period of time. ASW was the last one to fold in 1966 ending 40 years of history.

yiVoNGe.jpg

Kirby Rogers Booking Office (KRBO)

The Kirby Rogers Booking Office, opened by Rogers in 1940 became the dominant force in the New England territory with Rogers' leading the charge. Being a big star in the area helped him hold tight control over the region, with connections to some State Governments. KRBO became a key member of the World Wrestling Alliance through to it's final years. The promotion helped start the careers of stars like Vernon Wales, Giant Graham, Donnie the Battler, among others. Former protege of Rogers, Gene Plumelli challenged the New England Monopoly taking the heart of the territory in Boston following a few year war in the early 60's. Other towns were able to sustain Rogers through the battles. But this was a cold war and eventually KRBO cracked up and closed in 1967.

zCaPVLy.jpg

Tennessee Wrestling Authority (TWA)

The Tennessee Wrestling Authority ran by Whitey Downing was in business from 1960-1972. Showing off his promoting skills following retirement, Whitey managed to run a tight ship. Making big profits for himself and becoming known as a low payoff man for all but Main Eventers. He would always make sure his Main Eventers were taken care of, even given some of them a piece of the territory. His frugality led to the promotions downfall, when well respected partial owner of the promotion Mark Krogan found out Whitey was lying about houses to keep money for himself. Krogan led an exodus from the promotion in 1971. Following it's closure Whitey Downing signed with SWF to get them a foothold in the area.

-------------------

Along with these inactive promotions, two new active promotions have been added to the American Wrestling scene. One out of the Great Lakes ran by Howard Sunnacker (fka Howard Coyne) and the other out of the North West run by a worker added in the new update called Ernie Todd. These promotions were created to add more variety and substance to the data. In the Great Lakes, Howard has an affinity for hiring older talent with the idea they'll bring big houses. While in Ernie Todd's case he tries to keep costs as low as possible and is known as quite the swindler and manipulator. He will go after the misfits of wrestling and was once close with Papa Bear Reilly who was his big star. Papa Bear left Ernie in 1975 to start his promotion Black Bear Promotions (fka Wyoming State Wrestling).

gDOKR1H.jpg

Great Lakes Sports Club (GLSC)

Home to the stars of the Great Lakes triad of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. The star territory of the industrial Heart of America was a hot bed for many years. Seeing the likes of Bruise Borowski, Strong Man Boris, Minnesota Mauler, Alexei Komaroff, among other stars ply their craft in the promotion. Promoter Howard Sunnacker brought in reputable talent to create must see shows in the 1960's. His routine eventually led to burn out from the local crowds who got tired of the same old talent each show. GLSC continues to host shows with aging wrestlers all over them which continues to lower attendance as years progress.

T0XBrRC.jpg

Ernie Todd Pacific Wrestling (ETPW)

Opened by "Snowman" Ernie Todd in the early 1960's following his retirement from in-ring competition. Coming out of Portland, Oregon the promotion was able to gain notoriety throughout the 1960's with exciting match ups and innovative promotions by Todd a former carnival peformer. Todd relied too heavily on low pay outs and swindling his wrestlers around, resulting in most wrestlers avoiding working for him. As the 70's has gone along the promotion has fallen into a dire state that may spell the end for Ernie Todd's promotion.

Just to ask, for my own personal game and at my own risk, in theory could I import in from the default database everyone who would then be set to debut later? (Albeit import them correctly etc). Again at my own risk...?

That's certainly possible. If you're okay with people debuting later on with higher skills and popularity (among other disparities) than a normal new gen or are fine with fixing up all the workers to make the issues null and void. If either of those options are appealing to you, go for it! Mind you alot of default database workers are indeed in the file, but there have been a certain amount taken out.
