Total Wrestling News: New Promotion in Mid South Territory

It is news in recent hours that wrestling legend Ricky Dale Johnson has announced on social media the creation of a new promotion in the Mid South territory. Lone Star Wrestling, with a name clearly inspired by the state of Texas, would seem to have all the makings of an important player on the indie scene right away with an experienced leader, a pretty good nest egg, and an agreement with the brand-new streaming service WrestleWorld, as RDJ's promotion will be the first one to be featured on the network.

Lone Star Wrestling also announced that on Week 3, January 2020, the promotion will host his first Event named LSW Texan Rumble, where competitors will fight in a 20-man lottery over-the-top-rope battle royal to crown the Texas Heavyweight champion. RDJ motivated this decision by wanting to give fans an exciting match right away, as well as wanting to offer a huge chance for 20 wrestlers to emerge from the brawl and immediately position themselves at the top of the Mid South indie scene, winning the primary title strap on day one. It is reported also that LSW should run around 15 Events in 2020.

Preview for LSW Texan Rumble 2020

Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper
Two young guns from Mid South will go one-on-one at the Texan Rumble, in a singles match that represents a chance to shine for one of these rookies. "The Oklahoma Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson has been making a name for himself on the mid south independent circuit since his debut in 2017. A big tough kid, he's primarily a brawler but has some impressive power moves in his arsenal. "Too Hot To Handle" Jerry Pepper, instead, is a young worker from New Mexico who has been turning heads on the Mid South independent circuit since the summer of 2018.

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell)
There's a new tag team on the Southern scene formed by Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell. The Big Guns, this is the name they chose for their duo, are two Light Heavyweight brawlers who can really make their way in the tag team division of Lone Star Wrestling and, generally, in the industry. Their first challenge will be very hard though, as The Big Guns will square up against one of the best duo on the indies, The American Cobras! Best friends since childhood, Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane are excellent when teaming up and they constantly deliver good performances in the US, Mexico and Japan. The Lone Star State may be another great spot to showcase their chemistry, and what a win this will be over The Big Guns.

20-Man Texan Rumble for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
As announced previously by Ricky Dale Johnson, the main event will be a 20-Man Texan Rumble to crown the inaugural Texas Heavyweight champion. With several names still being kept secret - perhaps because some deals have not yet been struck - a shroud of mystery surrounds this lottery over-the-top-rope battle royal. Anyway, Lone Star Wrestling announced six participants, probably some of the best names we will see during the show.
“The Dallas Cowboy” Bradley Blaze! One of the favorites to win in front of the home crowd.
“The Jackhammer” Joffy Laine! Another hometown young talent which could immediately establish himself at the top.
“The Assassin” Ernest Youngman! A well-rounded muscular wrestler who has all the credentials to win the Rumble, strongly desired by the ownership
The veteran Rayne Man! A competitor who certainly has enough experience and maturity to master such a battle royal.
Left Shot Bradford! Also known as Bradford Peverell, a Texan mastiff who will try to get his way with his left-handed iron fist.
Big Hustle aka Hustle Muvva! A very good wrestler and a rather problematic presence in a match where you have to throw your opponent over the top rope.

Key for Predictions:
Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper [1 pts]
The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) [1 pts]
Pick the Winner of the Texan Rumble: Bradley Blaze, Joffy Laine, Ernest Youngman, Rayne Man, Left Shot Bradford, Big Hustle, Others [3 pts]

Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper

I think the Oklahoma Thunderbolt will win.

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell)

The American Cobras are one of the top tag teams in the independent circuit, but The Big Guns seem to be your little baby and I think they'll debut with a win.

Pick the Winner of the Texan Rumble: Bradley Blaze, Joffy Laine, Ernest Youngman, Rayne Man, Left Shot Bradford, Big Hustle, Others

Anything can happen so I chose the one that I'd like to win the LSW Texas Heavyweight title.

I like the name of the company and the idea of a Texan based company. Also you emphasized the importance of Texan natives, that is what I liked the most. Unrelated: considering your Eddie Guerrero profile picture you may like my Lucha America Productions diary.

Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper [1 pts]

Could go either way, but I think Patterson has slightly more upside.

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) [1 pts]

You might go for the team you've created, but The American Cobras are one of the best teams in the game so hard to pick against them.

Pick the Winner of the Texan Rumble: Bradley Blaze, Joffy Laine, Ernest Youngman, Rayne Man, Left Shot Bradford, Big Hustle, Others [3 pts]

I'm backing the home town hero to send the crowd home happy.

Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper [1 pts]

Nothing else to go off of other than personal preference here

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) [1 pts]

A win against an established team to kick off The Big Guns venture into tag team wrestling

Pick the Winner of the Texan Rumble: Bradley Blaze, Joffy Laine, Ernest Youngman, Rayne Man, Left Shot Bradford, Big Hustle, Others [3 pts]

A Lot of likable talent in this match but never bet against Ernest

Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper

Jerry is better in the ring and on the mic so I'm going with him

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell)

The Cobras are a great team but my guess is The Big Guns win by tainted finish to establish themselves and start a rivalry

Pick the Winner of the Texan Rumble: Bradley Blaze, Joffy Laine, Ernest Youngman, Rayne Man, Left Shot Bradford, Big Hustle, Others [3 pts]

Joffy has everything you need to be the face of a Texas based promotion

LSW Texan Rumble 2020
Saturday, Week 3, January 2020
Held in West Texas Coliseum (Mid South) in front of 166 people
13,412 viewers on WrestleWorld

Lone Star Wrestling presents his first show from the West Texas Coliseum. Industry legend and owner of the promotion “RDJ” Ricky Dale Johnson welcomes everyone in attendance and also everyone who's watching this show on WrestleWorld, before promoting the short card once again. Originally breaking into the business in his home state with TWL, RDJ has big hopes for his new creation in the Mid South territory. Ricky improvises well throughout the segment and the angle gets the crowd hotter. [77]

Jason Patterson vs Jerry Pepper
With all the good that can be said about these two rookies, the match has little heat and pretty bad wrestling. With already low in-ring skills, it comes out an even more negative bout as Jerry Pepper seems really off his game. Thank goodness, at least the respective Good Ol' Southern Boy gimmicks for Patterson and Weasely Jackass for Pepper seemed pretty convincing. In about 10 minutes, "The Oklahoma Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson scores the W by pinfall with an Oklahoma Stampede. From the announcer tables, play-by-play commentator Alfonso Garcia and colour commentator Fabulous Frank give the match a boost. [19]

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell)
The action is once again in the ring, as The Big Guns impose themselves thanks to their superior strenght, isolating and dominating first Marvel Malloy and then Storm Spillane. The American Cobras strike back once in a while, but fail to build momentum on few occasions. However, Spillane and Malloy manage to ignite a flame of hope after almost fifteen minutes of in-ring action and, with a good combination, knocking out Cowboy Buck Winchester for a few seconds at ringside, before hitting a double shot on Outlaw Wes Revell in the squared circle and surprising him with a quick cradle. The American Cobras win it on their shields! [43] After the bout, The American Cobras can't even celebrate as The Big Guns blindside them and unleash a vengeful assault. Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell are furious for losing on their debut after a dominant performance, and keep hitting Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane with punches and stomps, despite referee Clinton Edwards attempts to calm tempers. Lots of people expected this to be Big Guns' great debut, and it was in some respects, but a loss is a loss and it seems to sting a lot for the Outlaw and the Cowboy. [19]

Ricky Dale Johnson is back out here announcing the main event, explaining the Texan Rumble rules. Also, RDJ introduces the first two participants who will start the Rumble from the beginning. The two unlucky ones are… [83]

The veteran Rayne Man is the #1, one of the best candidates to win is in the worst spot, and it will be really hard for the Rayne Man to overcome 19 other wrestlers who will join the squared circle after him. Entering as #2, one who shares the same misfortune as the just-mentioned, Tennessee William! The heelish blues musician nods to RDJ and shushes the audience before strumming something on his guitar, heading toward the ring and beginning to mock Rayne Man. [47]

Hl1JXzc.png
20-Man Texan Rumble for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
In addition to the six participants already unveiled in Rayne Man, Bug Hustle, Bradley Blaze, Joffy Laine, Ernest Youngman and Left Shot Bradford, the other wrestlers to compete in this lottery over-the-top rope battle royal are Tennessee William, EBK's Bullseye and Waylon Walls, "The Draw" Cali Slick, Cobra, Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta, the young cocky Prime Time Jack Pryde, Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman, Rob Reynolds, Tavon Blake Jr, Teddy Powell and the grumpy veteran Texas Pete. Lots of action obviously in a Rumble that lasted 46 mins, the entrance of Texas Pete shocks everyone in the ring, especially Prime Time Jack Pryde who gets thrown out after grazing tractously in the ring for a few minutes; EBK win an internal battle against the Heartbreak Express and eliminate them both; Big Hustle ends it as the one participant with most eliminations, also throwing out "The Assassin" Ernest Youngman who has somewhat disappointed the oddsmakers; "The Jackhammer" Joffy Laine eliminates Left Shot Bradford who comes back to the ring to knock the S#!!!T out of him with his Dream Left Hook, leaving Cali Slick with the easy task of eliminating "The Jackhammer"; down to final four, the highlander Rayne Man finally throws out #2 Tennessee William while Bradley Blaze eliminates Cali Slick. It comes down to just two competitors: Rayne Man and  Bradley Blaze! The two wrestlers go back-and-forth and has a couple of close calls, but still survive. In the final moments, something shocks the crowd, as Bradley Blaze mercilessly hits Rayne Man with a low blow, breaking his defenses before tossing him out. [47]

Playing dirty and betraying the positive cheer of the home crowd, Bradley Blaze takes home the Texan Rumble and the crown. Ricky Dale Johnson comes out and, after an inital staredown, starts nodding and mentions a smile to Blaze, clearly telling him, "It had to be you!". RDJ seems to approve his new champs' methods, or at least seems to understand the purpose of them. And as the owner buckles the Texas Heavyweight champ's belt around Bradley Blaze's waist, an exhausted and dejected Rayne Man tries to regain his breath and strength leaning on one of the railings. Bradley Blaze ... Bloody Renegade! [48]

Rayne Man going from #1 spot to runner-up in the Rumble Match I guess was a way to kick off a future feud with Bradley Blaze. You featured some interesting names there and it'll be interesting how you use guys like Tennesse William, Prime Time Jack Pryde or Cali Slick. I'm curious how you'll make Cali Slick fit here and you also used the nickname "The Draw".

I thought your created tag team would win but The American Cobras were superior on paper, nothing to say.

Total Wrestling News: World Class Wrestler Dies In Car Accident

In tragic news, it has been announced that Steve Frehley, 36, passed away last night after sustaining major injuries following a car crash. Tributes from friends and colleagues have been pouring in all day. "The Dark Destroyer" Steve Frehley exploded onto the world stage in the summer of 2004 when he scored an upset victory over the legendary Sam Keith on his SWF debut, forcing the wrestling world to sit up and take notice. Booked as an explosive and almost unstoppable force from that point onward, Frehley enjoyed huge success in the ring and was one of the business's best paid, best booked, and most marketable acts.

Preview for LSW Dust Bowl 2020

The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) vs The Mad Clowns (Pierrot, Hellech)
Following his single win at the Texan Rumble event, Jason Patterson is teaming up with fellow Oklahoman Jules Night. For the two young men from the Mid South there is a rather ominous stumbling block as The Mad Clowns straight from Mexico, Pierrot and Hellech, are set to make their promotion debut, bringing their sadism and insanity to the Lone Star State.

Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr
A one-on-one matchup between two Californian competitors, as "The Grappler" Tavon Blake Jr, an old-school style wrestler who is known for having one of the nicest looking worked punches in the business, is set to square up against Cali Slick, a ripped middleweight who self-appointed himself "The Draw," as he considers himself the focal point of the entire LSW. We can certainly expect a wild brawl, but who will come out on top?

The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta) vs EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls)
A tag team bout that arose from an internal confrontation at the Texas Rumble match, The Heartbreak Express, known as one of the more promising young tag teams in America, will try to derail Bullseye and Waylon Walls, a fresh duo who calls himself EBK (Every Body Killaz). The two street toughs were able to throw Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta out of the battle royal, will they beat them by pinfall or submission this time?

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs The Hive (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman)
Following after a false start at last event, Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell have another chance to score the win in tag team action against a couple of wrestlers that we saw inside the Texan Rumble. Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman said they were ready to work hard to bring an important victory into the hive, ready to sting The Big Guns in an even more painful way than their previous defeat did.

Big Hustle vs Ernest Youngman
Two important players in Lone Star Wrestling got off to a diametrically opposite start, with Big Hustle pulling off an excellent performance in the Texan Rumble, scoring the most eliminations including that of Ernest Youngman. "The Assassin," on the other hand, somewhat disappointed expectations, coming out of the battle royal with few positive notes. In a singles match that may say a lot about the hierarchies within the promotion, Big Hustle and Ernest Youngman will have all the motivation they need to deliver great performances.

Hl1JXzc.png
Bradley Blaze (c) vs Rayne Man for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title

Despite welcoming the coronation of Bradley Blaze as the first Texas Heavyweight champ, owner Ricky Dale Johnson admitted that the performance of Rayne Man, who entered the Texan Rumble first and was eliminated last in unorthodox ways by Blaze, guaranteed him a place as the promotion's top title contender. The babyface veteran will have the chance to take the Texas Heavyweight title this Saturday at LSW Dust Bowl, but that bloody renegade Bradley Blaze seems to say he is convinced he has the ace up his sleeve to get out still champ.

Key for Predictions:
The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) vs The Mad Clowns (Pierrot, Hellech) [1 Pts]
Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]

The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) vs The Mad Clowns (Pierrot, Hellech) [1 Pts]

I like the alternative name for Coulrophobia but the Oklahomans fit much better in LSW

Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]

The draw should be up to expectations

The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta) vs EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) [1 Pts]

I think this can go either way

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs The Nest (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman) [1 Pts]

The Big Guns need this win

Big Hustle vs Ernest Youngman [1 Pts]

Ernest Youngman is so good but Big Hustle looks like an important figure for LSW.

Bradley Blaze (c) vs Rayne Man for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts]

I thought Rayne Man would have to go through some opponents to face Bradley Blaze. This means that Rayne Man is losing. I hope he'll have another shot in the future after winning some matches.

The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) vs The Mad Clowns (Pierrot, Hellech) [1 Pts]

Southern team in a southern promotion

Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]

Tavon's good but Cali's a star

The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta) vs EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) [1 Pts]

Keep the rivalry going

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs The Nest (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman) [1 Pts]

Even though they lost at the last show I think The Big Guns are a favourite to be the first tag champions

Big Hustle vs Ernest Youngman [1 Pts]

He's Ernest Youngman

Bradley Blaze (c) vs Rayne Man for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts]

The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) vs The Mad Clowns (Pierrot, Hellech) [1 Pts]
Jules Night is a great choice to pair with Jason Patterson as he builds his experience, and The Mad Clowns FKA Coulrophobia should be over enough to give The Oklahomans the popularity boost.

Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]
Tavon Blake Jr may be the future, but Cali Slick is the present.

The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta) vs EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) [1 Pts]
This one was tougher to predict, so I just went with which team I prefer.

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs The Nest (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman) [1 Pts]
They may have lost last week, but I think this may be the beginning of their redemption arc ahead of a rematch with The American Cobras further down the road.

Big Hustle vs Ernest Youngman [1 Pts]
I stand by my statement in the last round of predictions. Never bet against Ernest. A big win over Big Hustle to give Youngman a pop gain in the region and continue what may develop into a big time feud between the two following the battle royal.

Bradley Blaze (c) vs Rayne Man for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title [1 Pts]
Far too early for Blaze to drop the belt, and Rayne Man has national popularity which proves a determining factor in why he's the first challenger to give Blaze the rub.

LSW Dust Bowl 2020
Saturday, Week 3, February 2020
Held in New Mexico Armoury (Mid South) in front of 196 people
9,784 viewers on WrestleWorld

The Texas Heavyweight champ Bradley Blaze opens the show, coming down to the ring and saying that he doesn’t feel sorry for how he won the title strap. The Texan Rumble is a tough brawl, Lone Star Wrestling is a tough place to be, so “The Renegade” had to do everything necessary to walk out at the top of the battle royal. Rayne Man interrupts him and with much honesty says he did not take it personally and understood Bradley Blaze's motives, because after all, that was the only way he could beat him. "The Renegade" tried his hand, pulled the ace out of his sleeve, and won the round, but tonight all the pot will be taken by Rayne Man, ready to become Texas Heavyweight champ! Bradley Blaze smiles at Rayne Man, hinting that there’s always another ace up in his sleeve, before leaving the ring. This angle gets the show off a strong start. [38]

The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) vs The Mad Clowns (Hellech, Pierrot)
Jason Patterson fights in the opener for the second time straight, this time teaming up with “The Sandman” Jules Night, as the two Oklahomans square up against a creepy duo straight from Mexico. As the name clearly suggests, The Mad Clowns show up in LSW and already make Night and Patterson shudder with their evil laughs. In a bout that has decent wrestling but doesn’t have much heat, The Mad Clowns goes over by defeating The Oklahomans in 7 minutes when Hellech pins Jules Night after their combined finisher, the so-called Send In The Clowns. Based on crowd reaction, the evil clowns gimmick for the Mexicans luchadores has made a good impression. [35]

Cali Slick vs Tavon Blake Jr
A Cali Clash is next here in LSW, with a decent ten-minutes match between “The Draw” Cali Slick and Tavon Blake Jr. “The Grappler” tries to exhaust the opponent with some mat wrestling and holds, but in the long rung the charismatic Cali Slick comes out with superiority, creating space to break the Tavon’s back with a Slick-Back. [42]

Silent Cowboy Texas Pete appears on the stage and reaches the ring, surprisingly wanting to leave a positive thought about Lone Star Wrestling. Pete does not seem destined to be part of LSW's future, but he says he is confident that RDJ will be able to guide this promotion to success. Interrupting this unexpected discourse, "The Preacher," a well-known figure in the Mid South indie scene, shows up. Travis Century preaches loudly and with some impetuosity, praising God that Texas Pete will never be seen in these parts again: a drunkard, a fornicator, a slave to devilish addictions, the grumpy veteran is a bad example who should find no place on this sacred land. Bothered by that, Texas Pete grabs “The Preacer”by his collar, but leaves him when a imposing figure appears on stage. Travis Century ain’t here alone, and if God is the judge, if “The Preacher” is the jury, Texas Hangman is the executioner. After an intense staredown, a referee is sent out - certainly from Ricky Dale Johnson - and the parties involved seem to accept the implicit implication, there will be a match right here, right now! [38]

Texas Pete vs Texas Hangman
In a short match that lasts around five minutes, Texas Pete strikes hard straight away but in a couple of minutes, after a quick distraction from “The Preacer” at ringside, heavyweight Texas Hangman connects a couple of big moves that breaks the veteran’s defences. A loud Travis Century preaches and dictates to his executioner, who surprises everyone by strangling Texas Pete with his big right hand, before lifting him up and crashing him on the mat with a Choke Slam. Texas Hangman defeats Texas Pete. What a shocker! What a debut. [31]

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs The Hive (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman)
Signed by Ricky Dale Johnson who saw in them two very good workers, and paired in a new tag team, Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman did not disappoint in their first meeting by delivering a really good in-ring performance. Unfortunately for them, The Big Guns walk out as the winners, managing this time not to be surprised and closing the match with a pinfall by Cowboy Buck Winchester on Remmy Honeyman. [46] After the match, The Big Guns try to add injury to insult, by beating down Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman on the mat, but The American Cobras come out from the back, hit the ring and clean house, making the save. Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane prevent Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell from beating up The Hive as they did them, causing The Big Guns to beat a retreat. A heated rivalry seems to be brewing within a tag team division yet to be built. [26]

The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta) vs EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls)
In a decent match, The Heartbreak Express defeat EBK in nine minutes when Johnny Needham pins Waylon Walls after the tag finisher called The Score. Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta bring home a pretty good win, "evening the score" with Bullseye and Waylon Walls after the Texan Rumble and creating some buzz in the tag team division, which, as seen even before this match, has very tight and resolute duos within it. The in-ring performances of the four wrestlers equaled each other, showing that the two tag teams are on the same level at the moment. [35]

Texan Joffy Laine comes to the ring to talk about the snub he suffered in the Texan Rumble, which saw Left Shot Bradford return to the squared circle after his elimination to retaliate and knock Laine out with his Dream Left Hook. Joffy Laine cannot say for sure that, without this gesture, he would have won the match, but he knows for sure that he wants to kick Left Shot Bradford's @$$ tonight! To his misfortune, "The Jackhammer" is interrupted by another cocky competitor, the blues musician Tennessee William, who enters the ring to mock Joffy Laine and the New Mexico crowd in attendance. Also Left Shot Bradford walks out and nods to Tennessee William as the two heels look ready to assault Laine two-on-one, just before the party is joined by veteran Teddy Powell who was eliminated in the Rumble by Tennessee William himself. At this point, Ricky Dale Johnson makes an appearance on the ramp saying he is excited about the electricity and competitive spirit felt today, wanting to reward the grit of his wrestlers and the enthusiasm of the audience. Another match is added on-the-fly to the card: Joffy Laine and Teddy Powell against Left Shot Bradford and Tennessee William! [36]

Joffy Laine, Teddy Powell vs Left Shot Bradford, Tennessee William
In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, the heelish team scores the win in around 12 minutes, when Tennessee William pins Teddy Powel with a Devil’s Crossroad, while Joffy Laine and Left Shot Bradford find themselves on the ground at ringside after a collision against the railings. Solid in-ring performances by all four participants, good match. [44]

Big Hustle vs Ernest Youngman
Accompanied by the cold-hearted diva Venus Angeletti, Ernest Youngman makes his way to the ring looking in great shape, ready to take on the imposing babyface brawler Big Hustle. The singles bout doesn’t disappoint expectations, being the best match on the card by featuring good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, despite Ernest Youngman and Big Hustle don’t seem to click when going one against the other. A very open bout, from which "The Assassin" emerges the winner after connecting The Hit on Big Hustle, thanks in part to the assist provided by the distraction from Venus Angeletti at ringside. Youngman celebrates the victory along with his valet, while Big Hustle licks his wounds, looking rather burned by the defeat. [48]

Hl1JXzc.png
Bradley Blaze (c) vs Rayne Man for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
And in the main event, Bradley Blaze defends his LSW Texas Heavyweight championship for the first time, against the assault of Rayne Man, who has been the runner-up during the Texan Rumble in which he also started as #1. A great run ruined by Blaze’s vicious low blow that cost him the match, but tonight Rayne Man has the eyes on the price and is determined to win the title strap. Unfortunately, during the bout, the veteran seems a bit off his game and doesn’t have a great performance, but the main event turns out to be very watchable still. In a decent match, after around fifteen minutes Rayne Man strikes his finisher and goes for the pin on Bradley Blaze, but the referee is knocked out on the mat after an accidental collision with the champ. At this moment, Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell come out of nowhere and assault Rayne Man, beating him down before leaving him to Bradley Blaze, just few seconds before the referee regains consciousness. In a tainted win, Bradley Blaze pins Rayne Man after his Dallas Drop. [44]

Covered by the boos of the crowd, the champ raises his Texas Heavyweight title high, while Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell comes back inside the ring and throw out an exhausted Rayne Man. Bradley Blaze takes a microphone and with a big smile on his face remembers everyone - expecially Rayne Man - that he said he had another ace up his sleeve, ‘cause he always has one. Without further ado, the champ presents a new faction that will run Lone Star Wrestling forever: Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell and Renegade Bradley Blaze: THE MOST WANTED! [20]

Thx guys for commenting and being active, it certainly makes diary posting more fun 😉 Y'all expected the Oklahomans to win the opener lol, I preferred to give a decisive w for The Mad Clowns because I believe they can be a more ready tag team right away. Patterson and Night have all the time to develop a bit!

You did the same with The American Cobras, so I guess you want some popular teams to build early the prestige of your tag team division.

Hustle Muvva vs Ernest Youngman was the match with the higher rating and the finish teases a longer feud between this two, which I think can be a very good one.

An interesting plot twist with the creation of The Most Wanted faction. I like the name and the members you chose.

Preview for LSW No Place for Old Men 2020

Chip Martin vs Prime Time Jack Pryde
"NextGen" Chip Martin is the youngest son of the east coast legend Johnny Martin. Although smaller than his father by about 20lbs, Chip works a very similar style, just with a few more high spots to take into account the fact that he's a significantly better natural athlete. Given the theme of the event, Lone Star Wrestling is the place for a young man like Chip Martin, who will make his debut in the promotion accompanied by dad Johnny Martin at ringside. His opponent will be Prime Time Jack Pryde, another young gun of whom we saw a little something in the Texan Rumble match and of whom there is great talk. It should be a fresh and interesting bout, and predicting a winner is far from a no-brainer.

Cobra vs Rob Reynolds
A midcard match that could steal the show is the one between Rob "The Real Deal" Reynolds and “The Snake Man” Cobra. Reynolds is an Asian-American wrestler from Detroit, known as an hard-hitting middleweight with some really powerful kicks thanks to his martial arts background. Cobra is an eclectic brawler with a cold, calculating personality and wrestling style. The mix should result in a very tactical one versus one with an old school rhythm that is so dear to the Mid South audience. There is clearly nothing specific up for grabs, but a win here could move the promotion's internal rankings and allow for new opportunities in major bouts.

Texas Hangman Open Challenge
Following his massive debut, where he defeated the veteran cowboy Texas Pete, Texas Hangman will be ready to fight again at LSW No Place for Old Men. Led by "Preacher" Travis Century, who has personally issued an open challenge to any Godless dare to clash with the self-defined "sin cleaners”, the big heavyweight will take on any opponent. And as a good executioner, the hand of justice will be firm and relentless. AMEN!

Tennessee William vs Teddy Powell
Tennessee William threw Teddy Powell out of the Texan Rumble match and pinned him in tag team action at LSW Dust Bowl. The veteran asked for this match so he could even the score and bring the blues musician down a peg, but it won’t be easy; Tennessee William is a nasty individual in the ring, always ready to find a shortcut that can give him an advantage. Teddy Powell has to bring is A-Game if he wants to bring home the W and get back on track.

Cali Slick, Ernest Youngman vs Big Hustle, Tavon Blake Jr
Defeated in singles action, united to turn things around in a tag team match, Big Hustle and Tavon Blake Jr will join forces to go two-on-two against Ernest Youngman and Cali Slick. “The Draw” prevailed very well over young Blake Jr, while "The Assassin" defeated Big Hustle with the help of his valet Venus Angeletti. However, the bout is more balanced than it may seem, and certainly the two babyfaces will throw their hearts over the hurdle to come out on top.

Joffy Laine vs Left Shot Bradford
Two wrestlers who clashed in a tag team match at LSW Dust Bowl that did not ease tensions between them, but made them grow even more. Left Shot Bradford promised to knock “The Jackhammer” out with is Dream Left Hook once again, this time pinning him right after. Joffy Laine on the other hand, despite saying he is aware of his opponent's mighty left shot, is confident he can avoid Bradford's knockout blow and wear him down, before crashing him to the ground just like a jackhammer. And after this bout, he’ll maybe turns his eyes onto the Texas Heavyweight title.

The Most Wanted (Renegade Bradley Blaze, Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs Rayne Man, The American Cobras
The new faction that has promised to dominate Lone Star Wrestling is called upon to do just that, in the promotion's first 6-Man Tag Team match. The champ Renegade Bradley Blaze will enter the ring alongside Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell to takes on his rival Rayne Man and The American Cobras, who had several rifts with The Big Guns in the previous two months. A big main event that will tell much about the future of LSW; will The Most Wanted cement the extra-power of their alliance? Or will the babyfaces team be able to stop their momentum?

Chip Martin vs Prime Time Jack Pryde [1 Pts]

You highlighted Prime Time Jack Pryde for the Texas Rumble in your first even so I expect him to win this one.

Cobra vs Rob Reynolds [1 Pts]

I just don't see Cobra fitting in LSW.

Open Challenge: Texas Hangman vs ??? [1 Pts]

Tennessee William vs Teddy Powell [1 Pts]

It wouldn't be a big upset if Teddy Powell wins though.

Cali Slick, Ernest Youngman vs Big Hustle, Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]

Cali Slick + Ernest Youngman seem too much to handle.

Joffy Laine vs Left Shot Bradford [1 Pts]

Texan Joffy wins this one.

The Most Wanted (Renegade Bradley Blaze, Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs Rayne Man, The American Cobras [1 Pts]

The Most Wanted need to win this one to position themselves as the dominant faction they claim to be.
