EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) [1 Pts]

A slightly more established unit, plus it's hard to take any tag team with Jules Night in seriously as a major competitor

Chip Martin vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]

Tavon's just better

Cobra, Texas Hangman vs The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) [1 Pts]

One of these teams has a name, one doesn't. Easy pick

The Big Guns (c) vs The Heartbreak Express for the LSW Tag Team Heavyweight titles [1 Pts]

I could see it going the other way, the Express are good, but it doesn't feel like the time to be cutting away from the Most Wanted.

Pick the Winner of the 6-Man Gold Rush match! [2 Pts] Big Hustle

Hustle needs a big win here to regain some momentum- I could see it being Joffy but I figure the Most Wanted will interfere to keep him away from the shot (sets him up as a big threat and enables somebody else to have a go at the champ)

I'm really enjoying this dynasty, you do a great job of capturing that old school wrasslin' feel.

Key for Predictions:
EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) [1 Pts]

EBK are a fun team and while the Oklahomans can use some momentum I doubt Walls and Bullseye let them build up that momentum against a duo like them.
Chip Martin vs Tavon Blake Jr [1 Pts]

Chip Martin gets an ugly win over Blake Jr. Johhny has coached Chip Martin well enough but the lack of focus and awareness almost cost him before he pulls through
Cobra, Texas Hangman vs The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) [1 Pts]

The American Cobras are one of the best teams in the world and should have no problem against Cobra and Hangman who are too early in their careers to really challenge them.
The Big Guns (c) vs The Heartbreak Express for the LSW Tag Team Heavyweight titles [1 Pts]

Could honestly go either way but The Big Guns have been too dominant to not be favored against The Heartbreak Express. I think Most Wanted uses their size and numbers here to overpower and beat HBE
Pick the Winner of the 6-Man Gold Rush match! (Cali Slick) [2 Pts]

Shocking win but Cali Slick makes the upset and pins Rayne Man after Vinny Cruz costs him the match by accident. Cali Slick is amazing and so are the other wrestlers in this match but Slick needs the momentum. Along with him being an amazing visual contrast to Bradley Blaze

LSW Gold Rush 2020
Sunday, Week 1, August 2020
Held in Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South) in front of 276 people
10,462 viewers on WrestleWorld

The event is opened, as is often the case, by owner Ricky Dale Johnson who hypes up the card focusing primarily on the Gold Rush match that will determine the next No. One Contender to the LSW Texas Heavyweight title. RDJ talks about all six competitors, highlighting the strengths of each, before kicking off the show. Ricky Dale Johnson clearly enjoys having the freedom to go off-script and has performed well. [30]

EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night)
As predicted, the first match of the evening sees EBK go two-on-two against The Oklahomans. "Oklahoma Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson and "The Sandman" Jules Night manage to handle with some style the early assaults of the street thugs who quickly get annoyed, while the fans grant some encouragement to the Mid South rookies. In a bout that sees a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Bullseye and Waylon Walls manage to find the much-needed victory after just over nine minutes, when Bullseye pins Jules Night with a Pin-Point Knee. [27]

Chip Martin vs Tavon Blake Jr
Within a minute of the start of the one-on-one, Prime Time Jack Pryde comes to the stage to watch the match at ringside. His rival, Chip Martin shouts something at him, but then returns to focus on his opponent as advised by his father Johnny Martin. In a bout that has a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Chip Martin has a good break, managing to surprise the opponent with his agility and avoiding his grappling, paving his way to victory. His father Johnny Martin urges him to end the contention quickly, but "NextGen" decides otherwise, looking out from the side of the ring where Prime Time Jack Pryde is, copying his swagger and saying that this is "Prime Time"! Fatal mistake for Chip Martin, who does not notice how Tavon Blake got back up in the meantime, locking “NextGen” in his signature Piledriver and winning the match. [31]

We go backstage, where the cameras are pinching a rather heated discussion between Ricky Dale Johnson and one of his workers. It's Left Shot Bradford, who turns to his boss rather testily, furious that six competitors were chosen in the Gold Rush match and there was no room for him! "THE TOUGHEST!". RDJ initially tries to calm his employee down, but after a while he starts to get heated too, responding to him in kind. Left Shot claims he is "The Toughest?" He'll get a chance to prove it tonight in a one vs. one match against a legit tough guy, Rob "The Real Deal" Reynolds. [69]

Cobra, Texas Hangman vs The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane)
In a rematch of LSW Sunday Showdown, The American Cobras try to defeat Texas Hangman and Cobra again, this time also driven by a desire for revenge after the beatdown they suffered. Cobra and "The Hangman" manage to impose themselves more this time, splitting Storm Spillane and Marvel Malloy as much as possible and avoiding sudden tags between the two partners. In a decent bout The American Cobras finally gain some momentum and once again look to take down Cobra, but Texas Hangman interferes and the match goes south, as the big heavyweight starts mauling Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane alongside Cobra, leaving the referee no other chance than to call the DQ. [46] Travis Century yells to his adepts to "punish the sinners" and the beatdown to The American Cobras continues, with a Double Choke Slam by Texas Hangman in the center of the ring. The Cobras are down and out, but it's still not enough; "The Hangman" grabs Marvel Malloy, rolled out of the ring, and lifts him back up before crashing him against the edge of the railings with another Choke Slam! The vicious attack by The Strong Hand comes to an end and the heels return backstage, while a battered Storm Spillane and some staff members swoop down on Marvel Malloy to inquire about his condition, which does not look good at all. [20]

Left Shot Bradford vs Rob Reynolds
Both wrestlers have had very little notice for this match, but there is certainly no shortage of grit. Rob Reynolds' powerful kicks are pitted against Left Shot Bradford's hands of stone, giving the feeling that this one-on-one will end in the first knockout shot. In a decent match, Left Shot Bradford shows he has something extra this day, releasing all the anger he absorbed from his previous confrontation with Ricky Dale Johnson. "The Real Deal" goes short with a Superkick, getting caught with his guard down and getting hit by Left Shot's Dream Left Hook, who triumphs by pinfall in eleven minutes. [47]

The Big Guns (c) vs The Heartbreak Express for the LSW Tag Team Heavyweight titles

The Big Guns show up without Renegade Bradley Blaze in their corner, as the Texas heavyweight champion has disappeared from the radar after being pinned by Joffy Laine at the last event. Nevertheless, in a decent match, Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell successfully retain the LSW Tag Team Heavyweight titles by defeating The Heartbreak Express in twelve minutes. Kudos to Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta who showed a lot of grit and force of will, but the physical dominance of The Big Guns is too unfair in this match. It is Cowboy Buck Winchester who sets up the pin on Johnny Needham, after connecting the Law Of The West alongside Outlaw Wes Revell to make defense number three of the tag belts. [48]

Just minutes before the main event begins, Rayne Man crosses paths with Vinny Cruz, thanking him for granting him a spot in tonight's Gold Rush match and offering a handshake. The Sport Agent reciprocates the handshake, giving him a big "good luck" and giving him some advice: BE RUTHLESS OUT THERE! The veteran simply tosses off an unconvinced nod, taking leave of The Sport Agent, who follows him with his gaze as he leaves. There is something about this Vinny Cruz that is not convincing and even the commentators point it out, plain and simple Vinny Cruz looks sneaky and slimy. One has to keep an eye on him without a doubt. [38]

6-Man Gold Rush match
The gold rush begins! Six competitors, one winner! The first one who will be able to pin or submit one of the opponents inside the squared circle will become the No. One Contender! All six wrestlers work well in the match, maintaining a fairly even level of performance. The Six Way bout is lifted also by the announcing team formed by Alfonso Garcia and Fabulous Frank. The Gold Rush match has great wrestling and a decent reaction from the fans in attendance here in Colorado Springs Bar, having within it many small rivalries. After more than twenty minutes Cali Slick, Big Hustle and Ernest Youngman find themselves battling outside of the ring, just as they did during their Three Way match at LSW No Way Out of the Cage; blow after blow, "The Hustler" and "The Assassin" find themselves one-on-one, but after a few moments Cali Slick pounces on them again, who with beastly aggression and power manages to hit them with a Double Spear against the railings! All three competitors get the worst of it after the impact with the barricades, while in the ring the referee gets accidentally blindsided by Joffy Laine, pushed by Rayne Man. The veteran babyface finds himself in the best position, and suddenly here comes out Vinny Cruz from backstage. The Sport Agent looks for a blunt object, finding Tennessee William's guitar first and handing it to Rayne Man. Vinny Cruz gives a huge assist to his almost-client, inviting him to hit a reviving Joffy Laine with the musical instrument before the referee comes to his senses. Rayne man wields the weapon, thinks about it, rethinks it, but finally lets it go, telling Vinny Cruz that he doesn't want to win this way. A moment of distraction proves fatal, however, as Tennessee William takes possession of the guitar and crashes it on the skull of Rayne Man! OUCH! The blues musician laughs it off, slowly going to get back up referee Clinton Edwards, BUT WAIT! Joffy Laine grabs Tennessee William and connects his Death Spiral, going for the pin: 1! ... Rayne Man is knocked down a foot from them ... 2! ... Cali Slick tries to re-enter the ring, but not quickly enough to stop the cover ... 3!!! Joffy Laine wins the Gold Rush match and becomes the No. One Contender at the LSW Texas Heavyweight title. [45]

Welcome aboard! I'm glad, that's exactly the goal 😉 run an indie promotion where finishers are protected, gimmick matches are rare and meaningful, not every match is an open match, and so on. Hope to see you again!

Preview for LSW Desperados 2020

Raphael vs Teddy Powell
“Costant Motion” Teddy Powell is set to give a veteran welcome in Lone Star Wrestling to the debutant Raphael, a Canadian lightweight that fancy himself as “The Masterpiece”. The signing of 32 years old pretty face has been announced by Ricky Dale Johnson via social, as the owner placed much expectation on him. The veteran Teddy Powell will do everything to spoil his debut though, how is this going to end?

Ernest Youngman vs Tavon Blake Jr
Coming out of the last event without a victory in the Gold Rush match, Ernest Youngman will have to contend with Tavon Blake Jr, who instead triumphed in singles action on the last show. "The Assassin" and "The Grappler" have already clashed in a tag team match back in March, when Ernest Youngman teamed up with Cali Slick, while Tavon Blake Jr teamed up with Big Hustle. This match is expected to be very physical, with lots of grappling and mat wrestling, and the winner would definitely rise in the promotion's hierarchies.

EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Hive (Remmy Honeyman, Quentin Queen)
The battle between tag teams within the promotion to stay relevant continues. Outside of champs The Big Guns, the other duos are struggling to find a streak of wins as the level is pretty even and each bout is really tough. Bullseye and Waylon Walls could become the next No. One Contenders to the LSW Tag Team Heavyweight titles with a convincing showing in this match-up, while Remmy Honeyman and Quentin Queen could aspire to a championship rematch against The Big Guns after this win.

Storm Spillane vs Texas Hangman
After suffering a Choke Slam on the edge of the railings, it has been reported that Marvel Malloy has suffered a back injury and will not be available for LSW Desperados, having to take a rest break. A furious Storm Spillane is seeking revenge for his longtime partner and friend, but he too came out of the last event pretty banged up. Nevertheless, Spillane asked for and got a one versus one match against The Strong Hand, with Travis Century choosing Texas Hangman as his challenger. Will it be David versus Goliath; will the outcome be the same as that mythological challenge? That’s not something very easy to imagine.

Tennessee William Open Challenge
In what will be his last appearance in Lone Star Wrestling, Tennessee William issued an open challenge to bid farewell to the promotion as best he could. The blues musician, in fact, announced that he had signed an exclusive lucrative contract with the SWF major. One step away from winning during the Gold Rush, Tennessee William failed to become the No. Contender for the Texas Heavyweight title, getting pinned by Joffy Laine in the Six Way match, but a win at LSW Desperados would be a good way to say goodbye to the Mid South. Who will respond to the open challenge?

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs Joffy Laine, Big Hustle
Renegade Bradley Blaze versus the new contender Joffy Laine was expected in the main event, but APPARENTLY the LSW Texas Heavyweight champ called himself out claiming he injured his ankle during training. Ricky Dale Johnson hinted that he received a medical certificate from Renegade Bradley Blaze and was forced to take notice. However, even RDJ does not seem very convinced of this version, sniffing the theatrics on the part of the bloody Renegade, perhaps frightened at the idea of having to defend his championship against "The Jackhammer," capable of pinning him just two months ago. Ricky Dale Johnson's choice then fell on a tag team match, as Joffy Laine will square up against Blaze's allies The Big Guns in a non-title match alongside one of the top babyfaces in LSW, Big Hustle, who in the recent months lost a title match against Bradley Blaze in a tainted ending. A fun match for sure!

LSW Desperados 2020
Friday, Week 1, September 2020
Held in Dallas (Mid South) in front of 292 people
11,936 viewers on WrestleWorld

Raphael vs Teddy Powell
The opener of the night sees veteran Teddy Powell going on-one-on-one with the debutant Raphael, who makes his entrance giving himself a lot of airs with the swaggering look of someone who knows he is too good to be compared to anyone else here in attendance. Class act by Teddy Powell who as soon as the bell rings offers a welcoming handshake to the new face here in LSW, a gesture that is not reciprocated. "The Masterpiece" gimmick for Raphael gets an initial Poor rating unfortunately, still his in-ring performance is really encouraging and, in a bout that has good wrestling a decent reaction from the crowd, Raphael defeats "Constant Motion" in ten minutes by pinfall with a Cupid's Arrow. [47]

The owner Ricky Dale Johnson takes his usual five-minute promo, first congratulating Raphael on his winning debut and then going on to detail the evening's card. But RDJ's real announcement is what'x next for Lone Star Wrestling; in the last week of September, in fact, LSW will host a 32-man single elimination tournament festival divided into four days between Thursday and Sunday. All LSW wrestlers, excluding the injured, and some important outsiders personally invited by RDJ will compete for the title of King Of The Rodeo! The winner, the one who can survive the several single-elimination rounds, will take home the trophy and a $10,000 maxi-check sponsored by Herrera Steak, the best steak in town! [79]

Ernest Youngman vs Tavon Blake Jr
Venus Angeletti distracts Tavon Blake Jr right after the bell, leaving Ernest Youngman free to get the fight off to a great start by attacking his opponent from behind. As expected, the two competitors try to physically impose themselves on each other, with lots of holds and a rather old school pace. In a bout that has great wrestling a decent reaction from the crowd, Ernest Youngman avoids the Piledriver by "The Grappler," before connecting The Hit to win by pinfall in thirteen minutes. Great win for "The Assassin," is it fair to consider him one of the favorites for the upcoming LSW King Of The Rodeo? [52]

Storm Spillane vs Texas Hangman
One half of The American Cobras, Storm Spillane throws himself fearlessly against his opponent, the imposing Texas Hangman, who at his corner has Cobra and "The Preacher" Travis Century, who does some good work at ringside. Orphaned by the injured Marvel Malloy, the lightweight babyface shows off all the maneuvers in his arsenal to surprise "The Hangman" with both high-flying moves and leg kicks, but it's not enough. As seen many times before, Texas Hangman is able to take his opponent's blows well and break his defenses with a few hard shots. After a vicious Big Boot, Texas Hangman takes Storm Spillane and hits him with the Choke Slam, winning the bout in eleven minutes by pinfall. [41]

After the match, Texas Hangman and Cobra plan to beatdown Storm Spillane, but suddenly here comes the cavalry! The injured Marvel Malloy, though visibly battered, surprisingly appears on the stage and attempts to save his friend. The American Cobras repel the first assault, but have to give in when Cobra hits a hard kick to Marvel Malloy's back still not 100 percent, while Texas Hangman lands Storm Spillane with a Lariat. "The Preacher" Travis Century scrambles and charges his executioner, as Texas Hangman grabs both Cobras' necks and hits a Double Choke Slam on the mat, leaving Storm Spillane and Marvel Malloy down and out. [38]

EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Hive (Remmy Honeyman, Quentin Queen)
In a decent tag team match that could decree the next contenders to the LSW Tag Team Heavyweight titles, The Hive score the win over EBK in around twelve minutes, when Quentin Queen pins Waylon Walls after combined finisher The Double Sting while Bullseye, who has been the weak link in the bout, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance, is recovering at ringside after being thrown over the third rope. Remmy Honeyman and Quentin Queen continue to prove to be one of the most continuous duos within Lone Star Wrestling. [38]

Rayne Man reaches the ring in street clothes and with a microphone in hand, calling out Vinny Cruz who, after a few seconds, answers the call and join him inside the squared circle. The veteran once again thanks the Sport Agent for activating himself and putting him in the Gold Rush match. Of course, in the Vinny Cruz ending of the match he handed him a blunt object and Rayne Man did not want to use it, remaining regimented, but the veteran does not regret his choice. Rayne Man and Vinny Cruz will probably have to put ethical "stakes" on their partnership, but the veteran is convinced: he wants Vinny Cruz as he's agent! Vinny Cruz, who is getting better in his Sport Agent role, says Rayne Man would have 100% deserved the win and that he should have been the No. One Contender, if only he had a little more cynicism and taken advantage of his assists. But either way, the past is past, and Vinny Cruz extends his hand to Rayne Man, saying he is happy to have struck a deal with his very first client in Lone Star Wrestling. Rayne Man shakes hands with Vinny Cruz, certain of the deal, but the Sport Agent adds a few more words to the mic; his client is NOT Rayne Man! His client is the one who showed ruthless aggression inside the Gold Rush match ... CALI SLICK! A confused Rayne Man is assaulted from behind by "The Draw" Cali Slick himself, who beats down the veteran and leaves him down and out after the Slick-Back. Covered by boos from the crowd, Cali Slick shakes hands with Vinny Cruz! [40]

Tennessee William enters the ring and talks a bit about how he signed an exclusive lucrative contract with SWF that will make him leave the Mid South once and for all. The blues musician praises himself, saying that even the majors have now realized his talent and can no longer do without him. Before he leaves, however, Tennessee William is magnanimous enough to want issues an open challenge to bid farewell to the promotion as best he could. Left Shot Bradford appears on the stage and reaches out to the multiple-time tag team partner, who greets him warmly not understanding the situation. Tennessee William asks Left Shot if he is here to support him in his last match in LSW as a referee is already making his way to the ring, Bradford looks seriously at his "friend" who slowly seems to realize the situation. Left Shot has answered the open challenge and he's here to fight against Tennesee William! [43]

Tennessee William vs Left Shot Bradford in an Open Challenge
Tennessee William's smile soon turns into a look of anger, and the blues musician immediately lashes out at Left Shot Bradford as soon as the bell rings, with the opponent guarding well and forcing him to recoil in the corner. Left Shot, even quieter and deadlier than usual after his exclusion from the Gold Rush match, has the upper hand against Tennessee William, pinning him in twelve minutes after a Dream Left Hook in a bout that has great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd. A bitter farewell for Tennessee William, who leaves the Mid South with defeat and a broken guitar on his skull, courtesy of Left Shot Bradford right after the bout. [51]

The Big Guns (Cowboy Buck Winchester, Outlaw Wes Revell) vs Joffy Laine, Big Hustle
And now it's time for the main event, as tag team champs The Big Guns are set to square up against Joffy Laine and Big Hustle in a non-title match, as a maybe-injured Texas Heavyweight champ Renegade Bradley Blaze couldn't defend his championship from the assault of No. One Contender Joffy Laine in what should have been the actual main event. The match starts slowly, Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell try to impose their physical dominance as they typically do, but this time they fail against the imposing Big Hustle and the solid Joffy Laine, and the bumptious The Big Guns soon become irate as the audience cheers on the two babyfaces. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Big Guns try to connect the Law Of The West on Big Hustle, but Joffy Laine makes the safe and a two-on-two in the ring ensues that the referee can't stop; Big Hustle avoids a Cowboy Buck Winchester Lariat that bounces off the ropes and gets hit by Hustler's Headbutt! Outlaw Wes Revell attempts to hit Big Hustle, but gets the same treatment by suffering a Hustler's Headbutt! Wes Revell backs away, being picked up by Joffy Laine who connects his Death Spiral: 1 ... 2 .. 3 !!! Big Hustle and Joffy Laine defeat tag champs The Big Guns in nineteen minutes. [51]

There's not even time to celebrate because Renegade Bradley Blaze is here! The Texas Heavyweight champ blindesides the babyfaces, pushing Big Hustle out of the ring and focusing on Joffy Laine who gets pounded on the mat. "The Renegade" seems anything but injured, giving confirmation to the thesis that it was his injury all his own staging. Big Hustle tries to make the safe, but The Big Guns get ahead of him and hit him with the Law Of The West. Renegade Bradley Blaze continues the assault on his contender Joffy Laine, leaving him down and out after a Dallas Drop. [31]

Tennesse William signed with SWF, I didn't expect him to be the first one from LSW to leave to the Big 3. You decided to be open about it, I don't know if this is just for this case or you will always take this realistic approach.

Texas Hangman win over Storm Spillane makes me think that The American Cobras are in LSW to put others over and I like that idea. Storm Spillane is a tag team guy but anyway a big win for Texas Hangman.

Raphael surprised me winning in the opening. He had a poor gimmick rating. I don't see him surpassing guys like Ernest Youngman, Left Shot Bradford or Cali Slick. I think Raphael will be a lower/mid card guy but could be a decent worker for you.

Great show! Excited to see how this King of the Rodeo tournament goes lots of big players can win this. Ernest Youngman continues to be a rising player of LSW. But there are so many players for this tournament I'm excited to see who steps out of the midcard!

Tennesse William signed with SWF, I didn't expect him to be the first one from LSW to leave to the Big 3. You decided to be open about it, I don't know if this is just for this case or you will always take this realistic approach.

I don't know man, this time I decided to be really open about it. At the end of the day, LSW is still a tiny indie promotion while everybody knows SWF. I think being realistic made sense here.

Will there be any shocker? We'll see!

Loved the show and I'm looking forward to the tournament- it's like a (very texan) King of Trios tournament from back in the Chikara days.

Thanks man, I liked the idea of a four-day "festival" to honor the best in the Mid South. Had to be low on budget now, but potentially 2021 could host lots of well known workers!

LSW King Of The Rodeo 2020 - Day #1
Thursday, Week 4, September 2020
Held in Dallas (Mid South) in front of 380 people
11,139 viewers on WrestleWorld

Ricky Dale Johnson opens day one of the King Of The Rodeo tournament, remembering that today and tomorrow we’ll see the 1st Round matches in which 32 participants will collide in single-elimination matches. RDJ then calls out Renegade Bradley Blaze who, as Texas Heavyweight champ, was selected to kick off the tournament. "The Renegade" walks out in great shape, ready to walk toward the ring. Ricky Dale Johnson, however, stops him abruptly, telling him that he WAS selected before his "injury" was revealed; RDJ really cares about his champ's health, so he definitely does not want to risk a relapse. Fans in attendance have a laugh as Renegade Bradley Blaze tries to theatrically change the boss' mind. "The Renegade" swears he's fine, that he's made a great recovery, but the look on RDJ's face is that of someone who wants to make good on the wrong he's suffered, aware that Bradley Blaze has been ripping him off recently, faking the injury so as not to defend the belt. Ricky Dale Johnson won't listen to reason and makes it official: Renegade Bradley Blaze is out of the tournament! And is replaced by one of the best wrestlers on the US indie scene, here to test himself in the Rodeo ... Frankie Perez! The hispanic star appears on stage greeted with surprise by the audience, shaking hands with RDJ and staring down the Texas Heavyweight champ before walking to the ring. Meanwhile, a couple of staff members and RDJ "persuade" an irate Bradley Blaze to return backstage. [64]

Frankie Perez vs Jason Patterson in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
In a decent match, Frankie Perez defeats Jason Patterson in seven minutes by submission with a P-Clutch. Frankie Perez and Jason Patterson shows a pretty good chemistry and it lifted the match, which gets the crowd hotter. [48] After the bell, Frankie Perez cuts a promo and does a masterful job of improvising interactions with the crowd, saying he is very excited about competing to become the King Of The Rodeo. [61]

Jay Silver vs Raphael in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
In a decent match, the New Mexican rookie Jay Silver loses by pinfall against Raphael, who scores the W in eight minutes after a Cupid’s Arrow, Unfortunately, due to a bad landing Jay Silver has sustained a Broken Arm that should take him out of action for a few months. [33]

Quentin Queen vs Waylon Walls in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
With Remmy Honeyman and Bullseye on the respective corners, Quentin Queen and Waylon Walls square off in singles action and, after ten minutes, Quentin Queen defeats his opponent by pinfall after connecting the Q-Ball. Pretty bad chemistry between the two and it showed in their performances. [34]

Hellech vs The Architect in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
Room for more new faces here in Lone Star Wrestling, as The Architect is another outsider invited by Ricky Dale Johnson to compete in the tournament. The young athlete doesn't disappoint and defeats Hellech in about eight minutes by submission with a Blueprint. The match turns out to be pretty decent as Hellech and The Architect seem to have a good chemistry. The debutant seems very smart and calculating inside the squared circle, a interesting competitor for sure. [39]

Al Coleman vs Bullseye in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
Another outsider win as "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman, a middleweight technician, defeats Bullseye in seven minutes by submission with an Ankle Brace. Al Coleman secures a spot in the Second Round of the tournament, tough night for EBK as both members get eliminated straight away. [46]

Between matches, there is also room for a brief backstage angle in which Renegade Bradley Blaze, still fuming over his exclusion from the tournament, is comforted by The Big Guns. It is mostly Cowboy Buck Winchester who takes charge of the situation, telling his leader that things will still go the right way. Bradley Blaze is still Texas Heavyweight champ, The Big Guns have won the Mid South Tag Team Series and are tag champs, and one between him and Outlaw Wes Revell will also take home the King Of The Rodeo Tournament. What matters most is that The Most Wanted have dominance here in LSW. An almost convinced Renegade Bradley Blaze appears at least a little calmer, wishing his allied good luck in his upcoming bout. [41]

Cowboy Buck Winchester vs Teddy Powell in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
In a bout that has good heat and decent wrestling, Teddy Powell shows everybody why he’s considered a workhorse, battling up against Cowboy Buck Winchester for more than ten minutes, before being pinned after Winchester’s vicious Neckbreaker. [48]

Cali Slick vs Ralph Liotta in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
Accompanied by his agent Vinny Cruz, Cali Slick passes the first round after defeating Ralph Liotta in eleven minutes by pinfall with a Slick-Back. The tournament run ends here for The Heartbreak Express, as Ralph Liotta gets eliminated while Johnny Needham will not participate in the competition as he has personal issues. [44] After the match, Cali Slick and Vinny Cruz are confronted by the guy they recently screwed: Rayne Man! The veteran walks out on stage, as his match is next, claiming that he’ll win his bout so he could face Cali Slick in the 2nd Round in just a couple of days. Cali Slick and Vinny Cruz share a laugh, before leaving the stage. [46]

Big Hustle vs Rayne Man in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo
Huge main event for match number eight of the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo, as Rayne Man goes one-on-one against Big Hustle. Cruel draw for them. In a decent match Big Hustle and Rayne Man both get down on the mat after a huge collision in the middle of the ring sixteen minutes from the bell; Vinny Cruz walks out with a steel chair in his hands, wanting to interfere in the main event and being blocked by the referee. But wait, this move is just a red herring! The Sport Agent distracts the referee and allows Cali Slick to step over the railings and into the ring. "The Draw" removes the golden chain from his neck and wrapped it around his fist, punching a revived Rayne Man! OUCH! Then Big Hustle grabs Cali Slick, surprised by the interference, but before his Hustler's Headbutt goes Cali Slick hits him with a chain shot as well! OUCH! Big Hustle collapses and is placed over Rayne Man by "The Draw," as both competitors are now down and out. Cali Slick disappears from the ring, while referee finally stops arguing with Vinny Cruz and turns his head, slinging himself on the mat for counting the pinfall: 1 ... 2 .. 3! A knocked-out Big Hustle defeats a knocked-out Rayne Man. All courtesy of Cali Slick and Vinny Cruz. [43]
