MCW: From Grassroots to Global (C-Verse 2020)

Recommended Posts

(OOC: Hey everybody long-time reader of the diary projects throughout the years and have finally found enough free time to start my own diary. For the past couple of days, I have been making graphics and contacting creators to make sure I have permission to use their graphics. Thank you to @WalterSobchak, @King Bison, @GreatreDRagon for the renders, and everybody in this community for the amazing work you do! Hope you enjoy the Rise of McClane!)

Richard McClane

Richard McClane born in July 1995 grew up watching professional wrestling on TV with his two older brothers Robert and Ethan in their hometown of Detroit Michigan. The McClane clan was known around Detroit as "those 3 brothers who were obsessed with wrestling". While the obsession dwindled for Robert and Ethan, Richard was more in love with wrestling than ever before especially the old DAVE tapes his brother Robert gave to him for his 13th birthday. As a teenager, McClane played a focal point in the Detroit independent scene building a relationship with the talent as a photographer while running multiple fan clubs for wrestlers like Jack Bruce and Runaway Train. After McClane was caught sneaking backstage under the guise of enhancement talent by Runaway Train, Richard Eisen liked the kid's spunk and hired him as a production assistant in 2016. Under the Eisen's he learned the ropes of promoting and marketing, eventually becoming the house show ring announcer and match commentator for the SWF. After an intense argument with Eric Eisen in March 2019 after being told Franklin Fumier would become the main 3rd announcer of SWF over him. McClane was released one month later in April 2019 and with his pent-up frustration returned home to Detroit Michigan and posted a video online telling the world his experience in the SWF and plugging the new project he would be starting in January 2020. A new wrestling promotion based in his very own hometown of Detroit Michigan called Motor City Wrestling.

PhilVibert.jpg.8b232f05ff541e27e8a63dd500d2fbc3.jpgRichardMcClane.jpg.22e0e6d1cbc3c0fa3588af3690c9b702.jpg

Phil Vibert: Alright Rich everybody wants to know why did you post that video last month telling your side of the story after being fired by the SWF? For those who didn't see the video, Richard spoke about how the two Eisen brothers are running the SWF into the ground, how Eric Eisen is nothing more than a nepotism hire placed in the role of head booker by Jerry Eisen to keep his brother from doing something stupid and killing the business further than it already is. So tell me why?

Richard McClane: Alright I knew this question was coming when you invited me on so let me just get this off my chest... I loved my time in the SWF. I met some of the closest friends I will ever have in my life there and mentors like Runaway Train and Richard Eisen that I will cherish and still ask advice from. The problem has always been me and Eric. From day one he had something against me and like the professional I am I always let it go. I have nothing bad to say about Jerry, he is one of the best play-by-play announcers in the world and a mentor for me when I was learning how to be a play-by-play guy. My only gripe with Jerry is he never cut his egomaniac of a brother out when Mr. Eisen was forced out.

Phil Vibert: Ok Ok and what about Franklin Fumier? He was brought in by Eric to replace you. Any problems with him?

Richard McClane: To be honest Phil I don't know Franklin that well to have an opinion on him. He's a fine announcer but he doesn't have the background in the promotion like I do, he doesn't have the connection to the fanbase like I did and he isn't as good as a announcer as I am. But that isn't Franklin's fault if I was him put into that position I would have also taken the job without a hint of hesitation. Eric knew what he was doing when he hired Franklin and made sure to personally deliver the news to me that I was getting demoted from 3rd Announcer back to production assistant.

Phil Vibert: An old dog doesn't learn a new trick and an Eisen doesn't change Rich. So tell me about this new project of yours. Motor City Wrestling out of Detroit Michigan.

Richard McClane: Well Motor City Wrestling is the promotion I always dreamed of watching when I was a kid. I was a massive SWF fan as you can tell but my older brother Robert for my 13th birthday gave me his old DAVE tapes and I was hooked. Not to flatter you but when I watched those tapes I was seeing a side of wrestling I didn't think was even possible. MCW is that mix of SWF and DAVE I want to create something that can make the fans feel how I feel watching those old tapes and something that the city of Detroit can feel proud to call their own.

Phil Vibert: Well you have me excited to see your first show with that passion and flattery Rich. So tell me when the first show is and who should we be looking out for on it?

Richard McClane: The first show MCW: Genesis is on January 28th at The Sanctuary in Downtown Detroit. We will be hosting talent you are familiar with like Doug Peak, Harry Allen, and Freddie Datsun will be doing an autograph signing for fans after the show. Along with crowning the first MCW Heavyweight Champion. I strongly urge you to come out for a great show and for anybody interested in watching the show that doesn't live in Detroit don't worry the show will be livestreamed on WrestleWorld for anybody to check out.

Phil Vibert: Awesome Rich thank you so much for coming onto the show you are always welcome back and I will be reviewing MCW: Genesis after the show goes live post January 28th. Next on Vibert's Voice, I will discuss when I first met Ash Campbell and what Nemesis told me about him.

Looking forward to this one, what product are you using? From the description of an SWF/DAVE combo I would assume something like Attitude Entertainment or Ruthless Aggression but it'll be interesting to see what you've  gone for.

Picking the product was the hardest thing to do for me. Nothing really screams a mix of hardcore and entertainment perfectly. Ruthless Aggression and Attitude Entertainment were solid products but I ended up going with Classic Wild West. The bloody epics with the showmanship to me fit a city like Detroit perfectly. Plus the fans being open to any match type really lets me go wild with what's possible in the coming months of booking.

MCW: Genesis 2020

Saturday, Week 4, January 2020

Held in The Sanctuary(Great Lakes) in front of 233 people

19,199 Viewers on WrestleWorld

As the show opens up Richard McClane, Freddie Datsun, Hardcore Killah, and Playboy Jake Sawyer stand in the ring. McClane welcomes the people of Detroit and all around the world to Motor City Wrestling. McClane introduces to the people Freddie Datsun and Hardcore Killah two veterans who helped make this show possible. The crowd cheers for the two veterans before McClane also says that if you want to be trained by the best come to the Motor City Academy and learn the ropes from a man who has won championships everywhere he has gone and a veteran in the industry in Hardcore Killah who will now be going by Aaron Mustafa. He also introduces Playboy Jake Sawyer his commentary partner who he hopes won’t get them kicked off WrestleWorld. With that being set let’s start this new era of wrestling in Detroit. [42]

“Pretty Gorgeous” Ozzie Goldstein vs Harry Allen

The first match in MCW's history starts with a flurry of offense from Allen and Goldstein. Both cruiserweights hold nothing back as they fly around the ring with Goldstein taking control throughout the match with underhanded tactics. After a snug super kick right on Allen’s chin knocks down the Aussie Cowboy, Goldstein jumps to the top rope and gets ready for The Golden Shower when Allen wills himself up and hits a top rope suplex on Goldstein covering him for the win. Harry Allen has taken out the tournament favorite! [46]

“American Psycho” Doug Peak w/Carl Batch vs Remmy Honeyman

Honeyman and Peak face off as the big man just looks down with a stoic face Honeyman. The match itself is fairly competitive with Honeyman using his speed to his advantage laying rapid strikes onto Peak but it only takes one strike from Peak to knock down Honeyman. Batch plays his usual antics at ringside even untying the turnbuckle behind the referee's back which backfires as Honeyman tricks Peak into running face-first into the steel causing blood to drip down the monster's face. This only makes Peak angrier as after seeing his own blood he rushes Honeyman with an elbow strike knocking him down and hitting the House of Horror for the win [48]

The Dirty White Boyz vs Tomahawk Nation vs Hammer Hadley and Zachary Inc

Chaos erupts in the Motor City as The Dirty White Boyz starts running wild after cheap-shotting Tomahawk Nation and isolating Zachary Inc who eats a Full Throttle that’s broken up by Hammer Hadley. Hadley brawls with the Boyz before eating a spear by Wild Red Stallion. Ace Youngblood takes on Lead Belly as Wild Red Stallion takes on Grease Hogg. Hadley gets back in the ring and tackles Stallion as both fall out of the ring and continue to brawl. Zachary Inc hits a brutal knee strike on Youngblood but then takes another Full Throttle by The DWB as the Boyz advance to the finals against the winner of the other 3-Way. [38]

Rob Reynolds vs Bob Casey

In a match with very little heat, Robbie Reynolds dismantles Bob Casey. Casey tries to even the match with an eye poke and by grabbing the tights in a schoolboy but nothing can deter Reynolds tonight. After one Real Deal Rocker Reynolds takes the win for Detroit. [36]

Post Match Reynolds grabs a microphone and talks to the Detroit crowd about his life. Growing up in Detroit as an Asian American. How he has bled for the city and the people, in it along with the disappointment the local teams have brought the city. His love for the city and how his parents continue to work hard in Detroit running a local supermarket on the western side. He just wants to say thank you to the fans for supporting him and he vows to make MCW the best promotion it can be not for his own future but for Detroit because Detroit deserves a winner and he will work hard to become that for them. [30]

Pryme Tyme vs Demarcus and Gray vs Ben Williams and Kid Fantastic

The match starts with Gray vs Fantastic and Turner in a true triple threat. All 3 men exchange strikes before Turner and Gray exchange Greco-Roman holds that are eventually broken up by Kid Fantastic with a springboard cross body. The match continues with Demarcus getting the hot tag and taking out Jack Pryde with a black hole slam with the pin getting broken up by Ricky Turner who is eventually caught by Kid Fantastic with a code breaker. Ben Williams gets the tag and he and Kid Fantastic try to hit Demarcus with a backbreaker leg sweep combo but this is foiled by Demarcus who throws Fantastic out of the ring before Demarcus and Gray finish the match with The Rocket Launcher! [36]

Post Match The Dirty White Boyz stand at the entrance way starring daggers at Demarcus and Gray. Gray grabs a microphone and without hesitations calls out DWB for next month. Gray and Demarcus scream at the DWB and state how they don't fear these past-their-prime bikers who can only get ahead by cheapshotting people. Gray ends the promo by hyping up the main event and telling DWB that if they are gonna try to go at them then they should bring their A-game. Because Nate "The Great" and "The Truth" Tyrone Gray don't miss! [28]

“American Psycho” Doug Peak vs Harry Allen for the MCW Heavyweight Title

In our main event match Doug Peak takes on Harry Allen in a throwback match to the wrestling of the early 2000s. The match starts slow with Peak outpowering Allen but Allen uses the gash on Peak's head as a weak point to even the odds with the monster. Batch hands Peak brass knuckles but eats a super kick for his efforts, Allen is able to use a running head scissor and pin combo to get a 2.9 count on Peak who barely kicks out. With the momentum on his side, Allen goes to the top rope for the flying fist drop when Batch distracts the referee and Peak takes advantage. The American Psycho grabs Allen from the top rope and places him on his shoulder for a running House of Horrors. The Peak pins Allen to become the inaugural MCW Heavyweight Champion. [49]

Batch jumps for joy as Doug Peak has done what some deemed to be impossible and has become the inaugural MCW Heavyweight Champion. The stoic behemoth grabs the belt from Dale Kenny and holds it high above his head as Batch hugs him. Allen just sits outside the ring in silence as he doesn't know what exactly happened yet. McClane and Sawyer thank everybody for tuning into MCW and to watch out for February's Show No Love Lost coming from the same venue. Featuring COTT Champion Pablo Rodriquez making his first appearance in MCW. [49]

Confederation Of The Territories Meeting February 4th, 2020. Baltimore, MD

Sam Keith: Welcome to the first meeting of 2020 for the Confederation Of The Territories. Congrats on another successful year to everybody and welcome to our newest member Richard McClane and Motor City Wrestling. So Rich got anything you want to say before we start this meeting?

Richard McClane: Thank you so much Mr. Keith! First I want to thank all the members for voting yes on our acceptance into the Confederation. I also want to thank Mr. Anderson for allowing MCW the ability to book Pablo Rodriguez for our upcoming show I greatly appreciate it.

Sam Keith: With that said first order of business is deciding on who will beat Pablo Rodriguez for the COTT World Heavyweight Title like always this will be put to a vote and 5 out of the now 6 members need to agree for us to change the champion so does anybody have any recommendations?

Larry Vessey: I got one, Tennessee Williams is freed up after losing the title to Brutus Milano. The kid can get old-school heat wherever he goes. He can wrestle, he can talk, he looks like a star and acts like one too. I see no reason to keep holding him back from making a name for himself as the top champion of the alliance.

Phoenix I: Tennessee is a good kid but he does nothing for us in OLLIE Larry. The next champ should be Extraordinario Jr. I already have gotten calls that EILL and TCW are looking at him as a potential star. Let's not wait on him and let's pull the trigger now and do a Mask vs Title match between him and Pablo. It'll make all of us money and give your talent the opportunity to wrestle one of the best luchadors on the planet.

Gil Thomas: Aldous Blackfriar has everything we need in a champion. He has really come into his own in the past couple of years and I think he finally is ready to carry the alliance. The gimmick and the look are easy to translate into any of our promotions. Aldous can play both babyface and heel and we can really make some money between him and Pablo as a Dark Babyface in Aldous and an evil Pastor like Pablo.

Cliff Anderson: I just want to make it clear I don't believe Pablo losing the title in the near future is a good idea he has more than held his side of the deal as a representative of the Confederation in all of our territories. If I had to nominate someone I would say putting the title back onto Masked Cougar is a no-brainer. Rodriguez took the title away from Cougar and the fans want to see Cougar get his revenge for the brass knuckle shot he ate from Rodriguez

Richard McClane: I'm the new guy but Harry Allen is one of the most recognizable names in the American Independent scene. A mainstay in TCW who can still go in the ring. Looks and acts like a star, adds another prestigious name to the title history, and gets us plenty of time to establish another young guy like Tennessee or Aldous.

Sam Keith: Everybody knows MAW is low on stars but Bradley Blaze can help us push back into the Mid-South. We haven't had a no-nonsense brawler like Blaze as champion Bulldozer. We have to consider him for what he can add to us.

The men continue to argue suggesting names and voting to no results. The final names that are being considered are Aldous BlackFriar, Bradley Blaze, and El Extraordinario Jr. The committee decides to table the topic before moving on to the 2nd matter of business.

Richard McClane: I want to create a super show with all of our top stars. COTT has been operational for almost a decade and with all of our accumulated talent we can create one of the best wrestling shows in the world. I don't see why we don't have a COTT Supershow between all of us and drum up business for every territory. We can call the show COTT North American Classic

Larry Vessey: Here is the thing with that idea Rich. A show like you are suggesting requires a massive fund of money to pay all the talent but also concrete evidence that anybody will come to the show. The fans up here in NYCW only care about my talent I doubt they would come down to the middle of nowhere to watch our guys get pinned by other stars.

Phoenix 1: It's a no from me to Richard. My talent would all have to get passports to be able to work the show along with very little of the OLLIE fanbase would even be able to go to a show like that. Unless the show is in Mexico I won't be interested in it.

The rest of the members give their excuses of why a Supershow wouldn't work and after a short while the meeting is closed with the members agreeing to meet again soon to decide on a new champion. But Sam Keith tells Richard McClane to stay back for a bit.

Sam Keith: You had some balls to bring up a Supershow today McClane. Lucky for you though I completely agree with the idea. While we are a unified body we have no interactions other than sending a traveling champion between the different territories. We need to change that if these grassroots stand a chance of surviving with The Big 3

Richard McClane: So what are we gonna do then? We need 5 out of 6 votes to make this happen and Vessey and Phoenix seem like they aren't gonna be budging on this.

Sam Keith: We have to give them a reason to want a show like this. Show them that close association with other promotions can be more than beneficial for both parties. It's not gonna be easy but I got faith in you on this kid. If you need any MAW talent don't be afraid to give me or Fair a call we will figure something out.

There's a typo in the Triple Threat match 😉 think Bob Casey has to go lol

Predictions:

Kid Fantastic and Tomahawk Nation vs Ozzie Goldstein and Pryme Tyme [1pts]

Zachary Inc vs Ben Williams vs Hammer Hadley [1pts]

Nathan Coleman vs Rob Reynolds [1pts] I think Rob Reynolds needs a decent streak to quickly become on of the top babyface in the company

DeMarcus and Gray vs The Dirty White Boyz [1pts] in a tainted win

Pablo Rodriguez(c) vs Remmy Honeyman [1pts] the COTT champ will retain for sure, but Remmy could have a good performance

Kid Fantastic and Tomahawk Nation vs Ozzie Goldstein and Pryme Tyme [1pts]

I've always found Jack Pryde to be terrible, if I'm being honest

Zachary Inc vs Ben Williams vs Hammer Hadley [1pts]

Hadley's the only one who doesn't have a major downside (provided you get your locker room right, anyway)

Nathan Coleman vs Rob Reynolds [1pts]

Nate's in the putting-over-youngster phase of his career and Rob's definitely worth the investment

DeMarcus and Gray vs The Dirty White Boyz [1pts]

Younger, better, and they have that ex-MAW pedigree

Pablo Rodriguez(c) vs Remmy Honeyman [1pts]

I love Remmy, he's a great worker, but in what universe does the blandest man in wrestling have a chance at carrying a world title?

Predictions Key:

Kid Fantastic and Tomahawk Nation vs Ozzie Goldstein and Pryme Tyme [1pts]

Ozzie Goldstein is probably the most talented and over guy in the match.

Zachary Inc vs Ben Williams vs Hammer Hadley [1pts]

Ben Williams is here to eat the pin (he didn't even get a new render). I'm going for Zachary Inc over Hadley as he has a bit more upside.

Nathan Coleman vs Rob Reynolds [1pts]

Following my render logic from above. I could see this going the other way though, I think Coleman has the potential to be an important player in the short term while you build up your new guys.

DeMarcus and Gray vs The Dirty White Boyz [1pts]

DeMarcus and Gray are a great team, The Dirty White Boyz... much less so.

Pablo Rodriguez(c) vs Remmy Honeyman [1pts]

Since Remmy wasn't mentioned in the COTT board meeting as a potential next champ, I'd say this is a routine defence for Pablo. Should kick out a decent grade though!

Before the matches start, the crowd watches as Freddie Datsun comes out from backstage and Richard McClane gets up from the commentary booth. They get in the ring as McClane hands Datsun a microphone.

Richard McClane: I want to be the first to say thank you to all of the MCW fandom for making Genesis a resounding success last month and to the fans in attendance today thank you for making The Sanctuary a haven for wrestling in the city. Freddie and I have an announcement for WrestleBowl in March for you fine people. WrestleBowl will not only feature MCW talent but we will be hosting talent from MAW as well. Bradley Blaze, Josh Jacobs, and “Cheetah Boy” James Neil will take on the winner of the trios match tonight between Kid Fantastic and Tomahawk Nation vs Ozzie Goldstein and Pryme Tyme.

Freddie Datsun: Not only will the winner of tonight's match face the MAW team at the WrestleBowl but whoever wins between the MAW Team and MCW Team will be given a $12,000 cash prize. We also want to announce the conditions given to us by Doug Peak after winning the MCW Heavyweight Title per his manager Carl Batch. Which consists of any opponent Doug Peak has beaten in a singles match and has earned a rematch will have the match take place under DAVE Rules which consist of No DQs. With that being said let’s get to the action! [49]

Trios Match

Kid Fantastic and Tomahawk Nation vs Ozzie Goldstein and Pryme Tyme

In a 13-minute long match, the trios give it everything they have to have a guaranteed match at WrestleBowl along with an opportunity for a $12,000 cash prize. Jack Pryde starts the match against Kid Fantastic with Pryde unable to maintain the extremely quick pace that Fantastic brings to the match. After racking the eyes behind the referee's back and taking control Pryde can tag in Goldstein can not only match Kid Fantastic in speed but use his years of experience to his advantage grounding the cruiserweight. Kid Fantastic dodges a dropkick from Goldstein and tags in Ace YoungBlood who runs wild on the heels Tomahawk chopping Pryde off the apron and scoop-slamming Goldstein. As YoungBlood runs wild Ricky Turner jumps in the ring and cheapshots Kid Fantastic before turning around into a Tomahawk chop from YoungBlood. When YoungBlood turns around Goldstein is able to hit a Northern Light Suplex and scurry to the top rope for a Golden Shower. Wild Red Stallion tries breaking the pin but Pryde is right there grabbing his legs and stopping the Stallion from getting in the ring. Ozzie Goldstein pinned Ace YoungBlood with a Golden Shower in 13:23 [40]

Triple Threat

Zachary Inc vs Ben Williams vs Hammer Hadley

In a poor match, Hammer Hadley, Zachary Inc, and Ben Williams showcase their skills for the MCW audience. All participants are hungry to gain some momentum. Throughout the match, Hadley and Zachary Inc tried one-upping each other with how much damage they could inflict on Ben Williams. Zachary Inc laid devastating chops across the chest of Williams before Hadley rushed both and put Williams in a torture rack across the big man's back. The match ended with Zachary Inc and Hammer Hadley brawling when Hadley hit a surprise dropkick on Inc sending him out of the ring. In the chaos, Ben Williams tries a flying cross body on Hadley who catches Williams in mid-air and hits his patent Death Valley Driver for the win in 11:43. [28]

Throughout the show, dueling interviews are played from earlier in the day between The Dirty White Boyz and DeMarcus & Gray. The promos consist of Jake Sawyer hyping up The DWB and trying to sow doubt into the confident DeMarcus & Gray. The final shot consists of both teams telling each other to bring their A-Game! [32]

Singles Match

NathanColeman.jpg.bf1ae6fd900aa4c7945be6f14885637b.jpg  vs.jpg.a667bc24a55362cf62ec9e32fa00c0a1.jpg  RobReynolds.jpg.89029c1e2292a48cfd0ac73537b13cd1.jpg

Nathan Coleman vs Rob Reynolds

In a decent match with little heat Reynolds faces the towering Coleman. During the match, Reynolds is thwarted time and time again by the bigger Coleman from hitting the Real Deal Rocker. It all looked over for Detroit’s Finest when Coleman hit his Pioneer Twist Finisher on Reynolds but with a foot on the ropes, he was able to survive the onslaught from the veteran. As the veteran got more and more winded Reynolds found an opportunity and with a well-placed kick to the side of the head of Coleman was able to hit the Real Deal Rocker to get the win over the Pioneer in 12:09 [38]

Backstage Segment with Doug Peak and Carl Batch flaunting the MCW Heavyweight Title. Batch stands up proudly pointing at Peak who has the title draped on his shoulder and says “Baby you understand Doug Peak has had this in him since he was still in DAVE. Doug Peak has had star power written all over him he has been allowed to show it. And like the courageous champion he is Peak will accept all challengers as long as they follow the rules laid in front of them by the champion. If Peak beats you then you have to play by his rules… And he isn’t known as the American Psycho for nothing baby!” As Batch gets the last word out Harry Allen appears in front of them he takes off his hat and looks right past Batch at Peak and says “Doug last month at Genesis you beat me in the middle of the ring. I can accept that I rewatched the tape and saw it with my own eyes you got handed the brass knuckles and didn’t use them to beat me. If your rules for a rematch are for the match to be No Disqualifications then fine Doug I accept. I want to face you again at 100% Doug Peak vs Harry Allen No DQ at WrestleBowl next month. The winner takes the MCW Heavyweight Title and I plan to walk out the champion that night. And Carl Batch… stay out of that match if you know what’s good for you… baby”[54]

DeMarcus and Gray vs The Dirty White Boyz

In a decent match with good heat, DeMarcus and Gray take on The Dirty White Boyz for the MCW Tag Team Titles. During the match, the Dirty White Boyz are able to take an early advantage using Gray’s energy to his detriment when they bait “The Truth” into overextending into the Boyz corner for a cheap shot from Lead Belly allowing Grease Hogg to take control. The bigger and more experienced heels continue to use their side of the ring to their advantage. A sidewalk slam senton combo almost finishes the match early for the DWB if DeMarcus wasn’t able to break the pin. As Lead Belly brawls with DeMarcus at ringside Gray is finally able to take back the advantage from Grease Hogg with a sling blade followed by a leg drop. DeMarcus gets back into his corner and extends as far as he can for the tag when Lead Belly jumps into the ring and drags Gray back into their corner before tagging himself in and setting up Gray for a Full Throttle. As Grease Hogg starts charging towards Gray he is able to sidestep at the last second and referee Dale Kenney eats the Full Throttle. THE REF IS DOWN AND THE DWB KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO! Lead Belly focuses on Gray as Grease Hogg gets a chair from ringside. Grease Hogg hits DeMarcus on the back with a steel chair as Lead Belly hits the RPM Bomb on Gray as DeMarcus is down writhing in pain and pins "The Truth". Dale Kenney is crawling to make the pin 1… It can’t end like this 2… Get up NATE do it for MCW… and I CAN’T BELIEVE IT Gray kicks out at 2.99 and Lead Belly looks flushed with rage. He sets Gray up for another RPM Bomb when Gray slips out and emphatically tags in Nate The Great who’s back on the apron! He ducks under Lead Belly’s clothesline and spears him out of his boots. Grease Hogg tries getting in the ring and eats a lariat back to the trailer park. DeMarcus takes down the straps of his singlet and tags in Tyrone Gray for the ROCKET LAUNCHER! Gray pins Lead Belly as Demarcus jumps onto Grease Hogg. AND WE HAVE  OUR INAGUARAL MCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! DeMarcus & Gray have done it they pinned The DWB in 18:52 [40]

Main Event: COTT World Heavyweight Championship Match

Pablo Rodriguez vs Remmy Honeyman

In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Pablo Rodriguez and Remmy Honeyman had the crowd buzzing with the match of the night. Honeyman waits in the ring with a smile on his face as Rodriguez enters the ring with a face filled with disgust. As the match begins Honeyman takes an early advantage using the crowd's rabid energy to see a title change tonight as a source of motivation to get on Rodriguez. This eventually backfires on Remmy who eats two well-timed punches from Rodriguez before the Priest of Pain sadistically beats Honeyman. Methodically working the legs. Looking at the crowd as he tortures Honeyman by slowly manipulating his knee as the babyface wails in pain before Rodriguez stomps on Honeyman’s knee and then foot. Honeyman is able to schoolboy pin Rodriguez for a 1 count but this gives him enough time to hit a dropkick on Rodriguez before Honeyman stops and grabs his knee in pain allowing Rodriguez time to get back up. Both men exchange blows one by one with Rodriguez knocking Remmy down again and continuing to injure the knee of Honeyman. Catapulting the knee against the ropes before throwing Honeyman out of the ring forcing him to splat on the ground. Before the count reaches 10 for a DQ Rodriguez stops the count and continues the assault. Honeyman again goes for a schoolboy which is thwarted by Rodriguez who then eats a super kick for his troubles. Honeyman slowly crawls to the top rope holding his knee and sets himself up for a Flying Leg Drop which he doesn't get enough air due to the bad knee. Rodriguez takes this blessing and hits a Final Judgment on Honeyman onto his bible and pinning him in 19:44 [48]

PabloRodriguez.jpg.046d037474231c3f21e02af84fb1e26e.jpgRobReynolds.jpg.89029c1e2292a48cfd0ac73537b13cd1.jpg

Post Match: Rodriguez gets a microphone and speaks to the MCW faithful. “ Is this the best this company can offer? I came all the way from California and this was my challenger a guy who couldn’t even lace the boots of someone like Swipe Romero back home. Honestly, I don’t even know how I didn’t expect this from Detroit. I heard things were bad here but seeing it for myself makes me want to pray for you people. Uncivilized swine with no moral compass and no godly talent bestowed upon you. It surprises me that I actually found a place more corrupt than Mexico but Detroit did it in spades. I couldn’t imagine the types of low life that would want to immigrate here. Why work in a factory in the cold winter with a city that's tearing itself apart when you can go to sunny California or New York and actually make something of yourself like I did? You have to be really stupid to do that. Just like all of you are really stupid for thinking anybody here is on my level. I think I will tell COTT that I will never return here after what I saw. I can already feel myself losing my connection to god being here surrounded by you bloodthirsty degenerates.”

Before he can continue speaking Rob Reynolds comes through the crowd and tackles Rodriguez to the ground. Laying punches onto the Priest before being pushed off by a panicked Freddie Datsun, Aaron Mustafa, and security. As both men are separated Rob gets his hands on the microphone Pablo dropped and says "Pablo if you want to talk crap about me I would let it slide but what you just said about this city is a line you can’t come back from crossing. I don’t care how close to god you are, or how many years of experience you have. I don’t care about your title or accolades or ANYTHING else that comes out of your mouth. You talked shit about this city, you talked shit about these people, and by extension, you talked shit about my family. You made a big F****** mistake Pablo and your gonna pay for it. Next I see you it’s on sight. Next time I see you I will pin you in this ring no matter if it’s title or non title and I will make you pay for what you said. Tell your god and that corrupt Confederacy that backs a slimy b****** like you to believe that!” [45]

MCW Office Detroit Michigan March 4th, 2020

In the dingy offices of Motor City Wrestling in eastern Detroit, Richard McClane sits at his desk looking out at the warehouse he bought feeling proud of how things are going. The Motor City Dojo is operational and Frankie Datsun and Aaron Mustafa have been training students 4 days a week. MCW has had two successful shows and attendance has gone up. Talent is happy at how they are being booked and his relationship with Sam Keith’s MAW has had a great start. He may have gotten in a bit of trouble with the COTT entity over Rob Reynold's promo on Pablo Rodriguez but things are good other. He and Sam Keith are on a phone call discussing groundwork on the talent loan Richard is using for WrestleBowl.

RichardMcClane.jpg.f93c9b96bc75bc8595b6c438bdc26df7.jpgSamKeith.jpg.0f14c8122b0b10d1243116053b5d452e.jpg

Sam Keith: Alright Rich, I have no problem with you taking Cheetah, Blaze, and Jacobs but I’m gonna have to veto you on taking any of the TCW guys I have. I spoke with Kyle Rhodes about it, and he says BriCo doesn’t feel comfortable sending their talent outside of their established relationship with us and TCW School of Wrestling. So even though Jaylon Martins wants to return to Detroit for one show it’s going to be a no.

Richard McClane: That’s fine as long as I can get the guys that are advertised I’ll be happy with that. Harry Allen is still good to make an appearance at Americana in April. And is willing to lose to Bradley Blaze in a Mid-Atlantic Championship match. Though Sam I would love it if you came to WrestleBowl with your guys and managed them. Would pop the crowd to see a legend like you face to face with Freddie Datsun again.

Sam Keith: As much as I would love to support my crew I’m flying out from Baltimore a couple days before WrestleBowl and heading to Burning Hammer to support Matthew. Kid has a big match tag title match coming up and I was invited to walk them out as a temporary member of NEO Prime.

Richard McClane: While you are over there ask them if they want to join COTT…I’m only half joking. But seriously I’m happy for you and Matt, the kid is going places as soon as he comes back stateside. Any news on Larry? I’ve been hearing rumors Bryan Vessey is thinking of starting a promotion in St. Louis.

Sam Keith: Nothing concrete as of now but if Bryan Vessey ends up pulling the trigger on that promotion then it’ll be inevitable that COTT will expand to 7 or 8 members which will only make your SuperShow plans harder.

Richard McClane: Oh trust me I know all too well about that. Either way, it’s a waiting game for now. I’ll let you get back to your crossword or whatever you old folks do.

Sam Keith: Funny jokes for somebody who needs my help more than I need theirs. *Chuckles* I’ll be watching out for WrestleBowl kid make sure my guys don’t look like chumps ok

Richard McClane: That’s more than understood, Sam! Call me if you need anything else alright? Enjoy Japan!
