DYNAMITE
Wednesday, week 2, May 2024
Amarillo Civic Center, Amarillo, Texas (4,878 capacity)
Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone

We start in the office of The EVPs where we see Matthew and Nicholas Jackson and their The Elite partner, 'Hangman' Adam Page. Page takes a swig of beer from a bottle, while The EVPs have broad smiles on their face. They introduce their fourth member of their team for tonight's eight man tag main event, and into shot walks...
KazuchikaOkada.jpg.751fac93e4edba4e8501fa0de5fcc78f.jpg
The Rainmaker appears. Kazuchika Okada is here for tonight's main event and partner The Elite. The crowd love to see him and laugh when he calls Steve Austin a bitch... but some boo that he has aligned himself with The Elite. The Jacksons say while they had to open the Forbidden Door early, it is worth it to kick Kenny Omega's ass tonight and to put Steve Austin in his place. 72

Athena7.jpg.f0a4d119f5df7b6b839d1c4ea7d9f8c7.jpgWillowNightingale11.jpg.f302e10f775cd9bbf7811fe7bdc9ad93.jpg v AnnaJay5.jpg.880074466ad7d8a31782a71f425dfed1.jpgDiamante.jpg.f86c3462fb16b7ae2033f6a9b6448178.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Golden Lion Club (Athena & Willow Nightingale) v Team WooItsNathan (Anna Jay & Diamanté (with Konnan))

This was a better match than some expected and it was pretty much one sided. The Golden Lion Club picked up the points as they try and catch the leaders The Peak of Perfection, with the win coming in 7:39 when Athena pinned Jay with a Top Rope Stunner. 52

In a backstage corridor, Samoa Joe is minding his own business, when he is attacked from behind by Chris Jericho. Jericho hits him across the back with his baseball bat Floyd, calls Joe a joker and says he will kick his ass on Collision when they meet in the ring. 61
Jericho has turned heel, which didn't go down too well with the fans as a number of recent turns have happened suddenly.

BigBill3.jpg.635e251a5bce01f3db8283cc1aeddf6d.jpg v SonjayDutt.jpg.c2440761d03797e97f4513879fba8102.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Big Bill v Sonjay Dutt

A short match, and Bill dominated as expected. He won in 2:56 by pinfall with an East River Crossing. 37

In the parking lot, Konnan is orchestrating a now familiar gang style attack, this time LAX are laying out Top Flight and Action Andretti. It goes like normal, LAX's numbers and gang brawling is too much for their victims. 47

ToniStormTimeless.jpg.d83bf43a065ff4a5931095684dfc3bd2.jpg v SkyeBlue5.jpg.b8c6999d61f471188e73c39be3e9cb30.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND
'Timeless' Toni Storm (with Luther) v Skye Blue
A decent crowd, though the action wasn't the best in the ring. The former Women's World champion out wrestled her much less experienced opponent, and Storm's skill and savvy saw her through to the Quarter Finals. Victory arrived in 8:15 with a Storm Zero. 53
Storm out performed Blue 59-40
Blue benefitted from public support.

Lexy Nair is in the backstage interview area to bring her AEW League Report and she has with her The Spooky Club. This one is short... Malakai Black and Julia Hart say in unison it is "time to go back to Black", leaving Sting and Danhausen to ask what they mean... but they have already gone. 56

JamieHayter.jpg.59bc18095a7e2fa9a1485dfd3295d945.jpg v Rosemary(3).jpg.148a9f912b1cd0f71e8b59f1a8ad2f30.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Black Lotus (Jamie Hayter (Women's World champion) v Team Swerve (Rosemary)

Nobody gave Rosemary much chance to win this, and it seems everybody was right, as the somebody to give her the beating that was expected was Jamie Hayter. The Women's World champion made light work of her opponent, winning in 5:43 by pinfall with a Curb Stomp. 61
Hayter far out performed Rosemary 60-38
Rosemary seemed off her game.
Hayter and Rosemary don't click.
Hayter benefitted from public support.

Steve Austin is in the parking lot, pacing up and down. Then a large black car with blacked out windows pulls up in front of him. Austin stops pacing and looks at the car. Out gets...
KUSHIDA5.jpg.c7f3b978eeba871113ff55a203ca0c10.jpg
KUSHIDA! Austin now smiles and shakes the hand of the Japanese star. KUSHIDA smiles back and tells Austin in heavy Japanese accented English "lets open whoopass". Austin leads KUSHIDA into the arena where they meet the rest of Austin's men - Kenny Omega, Eddie Kingston and Drew Galloway. The three let of mildly sadistic laughs and Omega says let's go kick some Elite ass... Austin opens a can... of beer and downs it as his men head into a locker room. 71
Galloway is getting better at his gimmick.

MattCardona(6).jpg.4a43c01a1d2c2e8dc2a04686c26223a3.jpgJayLethal.jpg.94711b465fbe6f8ffb120bd3758bf74c.jpgJohnnyTV1.jpg.e49395f7316c061399529eaccd03dc26.jpg v BryanDanielson.jpg.f0bfd84af9c63af8e4473500394e2be7.jpgWheelerYuta3.jpg.4da3a433eb8e0d40d803314086333a04.jpgJonMoxley8.jpg.3d1e6b24d47b0c1ffbf870446ecd4cc0.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
TV Network (Matt Cardona, Jay Lethal & Johnny TV (with Taya Valkyrie) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Bryan Danielson (World champion), Wheeler Yuta (World Trios champion) & Jon Moxley (World Trios champion))

A lot of gold on one team and none on the other, though of course they are quality wrestlers in their own right. The champions had their way and duly collected three points in 11:06 when Danielson submitted Lethal with a Le Bell Lock. 70

Alex Marvez has four men with him - Chris Jericho, Adam Cole, Adam Page and Dax Harwood. Marvez announces these four men as the next men to enter the Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing. There is a lot of ego and masculinity in the room, so it soon gets heated about who will win the Casino Battle Royal and earn a World Championship match. 66

TNT CHAMPIONSHIP
COPE OPEN
Adam Copeland (champion) v Brody King (with Julia Hart)

The House of Black answer the Cope Open challenge this week and Brody King steps forward to have the championship match. It was a decent, hard hitting affair though ultimately it came down to Copeland being the better wrestler when he retained in 11:47 by pinfall with a Spear. 67
Copeland out performed King 67-56
Adam Copeland is the first man to win 10 matches, doing so in 11 attempts.

Renee Paquette is in the backstage interview area with the Women's World champion Jamie Hayter, who is accompanied by Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. and Rebel. It's Hayter's time though as Renee asks her about her title defence against Double or Nothing against the woman that although she lost the title at The Big Gamble, she has not yet been defeated in 2024... Hayter says there are first for everything... and Double or Nothing will see Toni Storm's first defeat of the year... Hayter says she worked damn hard to return from injury... she worked damn hard to win her World Championship back that she wasn't defeated for either... and she is working damn hard to keep it. 65
Hayter benefitted from public support.

The Elite & Kazuchika Okada v Eddie Kingston, Drew Galloway, Kenny Omega & KUSHIDA (with Steve Austin)
A really good and intense match. It portrayed the sheer disdain and dislike the two groups have for each other as the two groups containing EVPs and their associates battle for some kind of power in AEW... although ultimately it's Tony Khan's company. Anyway, the two groups fought back and forth and with The Elite battling Steve Austin's men around ringside, the two Japanese stars were left in the ring. And The Elite got the win in 24:13 when Okada pinned KUSHIDA with a Rainmaker. 74 - match of the night
Okada 72, Page 62, N. Jackson 75, M. Jackson 69, KUSHIDA 57, Galloway 74, Omega 81, Kingston 60
Okada's gimmick is getting stale (how on his first appearance in AEW??!!)
Galloway is getting better at his gimmick.

FOR EVERYBODY'S INFORMATION!!!

Before you all get too excited and want to sign Okada to your league teams, he only signed a one appearance loan deal. He still refuses to negotiate on a full contract, so therefore he cannot be signed to anybody's league team.

AR Fox is in the backstage interview area. OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Stu Grayson v Satnam Singh
In the worst AEW match this year, Singh dominated Grayson and won in 3:40 by submission with a Ragdoll Bear Hug. 15
Grayson out performed Singh 43-25

Jordynne Grace is backstage with Riho, who challenges for the TBS Championship next. Grace challenges Riho to a match next week… Riho, never one to back down from a big challenge, say yes… but if Grace was smart, surely she would have challenged the winner of the TBS Championship match? 35

TBS CHAMPIONSHIP
Ruby Soho (champion) v Riho

The match was okay and saw the current TBS champion get the better of the inaugural Women’s World champion in 9:20 when Soho pinned Riho with a Destination Unknown. 49
Soho out performed Riho 50-39

Roderick Strong is now with Renee Paquette and he is supported by Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Wardlow. Taven and Bennett start to celebrate as if Strong has already won. 60

Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. (with Rebel and Jamie Hayter) v Mariah May (with Toni Storm & Luther)
Not as good as the preceeding women’s match but if you looked at the crowd, they seemed to enjoy it more. Baker got the better of May in 8:58 by submission with a Lockjaw. 45
Baker out performed May 47-34
Baker was really off her game.
Baker was penalised for poor form.
May benefitted from public support.

COLLISION
Saturday, week 2, May 2024
Curtis Culwell Center, Garland, Texas (4,700 capacity)
Announcers: Nigel McGuinness, Taz and Tony Schiavone

We start Collision with The EVPs, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson in the ring with the other EVP Kenny Omega and who is now being referred to as Chief of Staff, Steve Austin. The Jacksons tell Omega and Austin that since The Elite won the eight man tag team match on Dynamite earlier this week, then they have all the power and AEW will be run their way... Kenny Omega says not so fast, nothing like that was on the line on Wednesday night... Steve Austin continues that as Chief of Staff, he has a lot of say in what goes on round here and as Omega and he are on the same page, they get to run things... and if Matt and Nick don't like that, then he has two cans of whoopass ready to be opened... Matthew and Nicholas back down a little, but say this power struggle is far from over and it will get settled... whether it is in the ring, the board room or the court room. 75

KonosukeTakeshita1.jpg.495e883177772a381eda0122a5cc27c8.jpgMiro(1).jpg.994864bbe0bc3fabf4d8e77e6ee1fafd.jpg v KipSabian7.jpg.a7f0e5018a10ea14216ff1cb4815bc87.jpgBandido10.jpg.7cfc08ec70b6612e33a68b591c9ad7c5.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Black Lotus (Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis) & Miro) v Team WooItsNathan (Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford) & Bandido)

The first of five AEW League matches on tonight's show and it's unlikely any of the others will be as one sided as this one. Takeshita out wrestled his opponents and Miro out powered them. An easy victory duly arrived in 6:18 when Takeshita submitted Bandido with a Wall of Takeshita. A decent match that was well received, despite how one sided it was. 61
Sabian performed worse than everybody else (46, next worst Bandido 56)

Renee Paquette is in the backstage interview area and her guest at this time is Hook, who as usual is munching on a bag of chips/crisps (depending which side of the Atlantic you live). Renee asks Hook what is on his mind... Hook is succint as ever, saying he wants somebody to challenge for his FTW Championship next week... Renee asks anybody in particular... Hook replies "Nah". 59
Hook benefitted from public support.

AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve (Mercedes Moné & Rosemary) v The Golden Lion Club (Ruby Soho (TBS champion) & Athena)

A decent match between four quality wrestlers. Moné had an off night but still managed to lead Team Swerve to three points in 9:50 when she submitted Athena with a Bank Statement. 59
Moné was really off her game.
Athena benefitted from being in amazing form.

The World Trios champions, Blackpool Combat Club are backstage. Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta talk about Timeless Ensemble, who are their challengers at Double or Nothing. Moxley warns the Ensemble that last week's attack was just a litte taste of what they will get at Double or Nothing... Castagnoli questions their cohesiveness as a group, saying they have been put together because a league manager has signed them all, not because they fight together, they are willing to do anything for each other nor are they friends... Yuta says they may be big stars in the their team, but the bigger you are, the harder you fall. 61

AEW LEAGUE
The Spooky Club (Sting, Malakai Black (with Julia Hart) & Satnam Singh (with Sonjay Dutt) v TV Network (Matt Cardona, Johnny TV & Will Ospreay)

A mix of teams and styles here as one side featured a giant and the other featured the number one ranked contender. The match swung both ways despite it not being particularly long, ultimately it went the way of The Spooky Club in 8:38 when Black pinned TV with a Black Mass. 54
Singh was far worse than anybody else (22, next worst Sting 50)

Lexy Nair is with us next but she doesn't have an AEW League Report for us as all the teams are in action tonight. Instead she is in the ring with a table in front of her and four chairs, two either side of the table. It's contract signing time... out come Darby Allin, who joins Sting in the ring having just competed... and the World Tag Team champions Lucha Brothers with Alex Abrahantes arrive shortly after. The four wrestlers sit down. Alex stays ringside trying to excite the fans like an excite puppy like he normally does... The two teams sign the contract, then Penta does the Cero Miedo gesture in Darby Allin's face... Allin takes exception and leaps at Penta and throws punches, which leads to Sting and Rey Fénix getting up and seperating their partners from each other. 60

MarqQuen5.jpg.a0dc056a8ab04c90b77a224015460487.jpg v BearBronson.jpg.5153325977f3afc9fb1ffa87983f3d29.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Marq Quen v Bronson

Not a good match and not helped by the crowd having no interest in it. Quen beat Bronson in 6:02 by pinfall. 32

Renee Paquette is backstage and the screen is black and white which means only one thing... 'Timeless' Toni Storm is her guest, along with Mariah May and Luther. Renee asks Toni for her thoughts on her Women's World Championship match with Jamie Hayter at Double or Nothing... Storm says he wasn't defeated for the championship... she's not been defeated in a singles match in AEW this year... and she has to fight the champion to get her Championship back... It's not fair darling... Life's not fair... so chin up, tits out and watch for the shoe! She accidentally hits Luther with her thrown shoe, much to the amusement of the fans in the arena. 58

SerenaDeeb3.jpg.3e77bf9ca23af6a8d46a266497cbc27e.jpg v DeonnaPurrazzo.jpg.bee97b0e81c88277bcc3e31583715e4c.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Serena Deeb) v The Peak of Perfection (Deonna Purrazzo)

A decent, very technical match between two ladies who are very well matched in the ring. This was a tight contest, with lots of holds and counter holds. It was Purrazzo who sneaked the win in 12:09 by submission with a Venus di Milo. 60
Deeb benefitted from being in amazing form.

Alex Marvez is backstage with Willow Nightingale, Dr Britt Baker, D.M.D., Mercedes Martinez and Taya Valkyrie. Marvez announces them as the next four entrants into the Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing. All four women are happy to be in the match, with Baker saying it's the next step on getting the Women's World Championship back... one wonders what Jamie Hayter might think of that. 39

ChrisJericho21.jpg.6aa3b7799bf01ba6dbc0f4a0b72ff625.jpg v SamoaJoe6.jpg.d3165cab93a7fd1cd8c79f24dd7d102a.jpg
Chris Jericho v Samoa Joe
Two veterans of the ring and two former World champions square off. The crowd were hot for this and the wrestling was good, though Joe was too good and too tough. He got the win in 13:13 by submission with a Coquina Clutch. 65
Joe far out performed Jericho 74-53

Backstage and Will Ospreay is being followed by the camera when he comes across the World champion Bryan Danielson. Danielson says he is looking forward to their match at Double or Nothing, so the GOAT can beat the Billy GOAT... Ospreay says to slow down bruv, he's beaten the best of the best in AEW and now it's time to beat the best... at which points Ospreay pats the World Championship belt three times that is draped over Danielson's right shoulder and tells Danielson "that will be mine bruv"... Danielson takes exception to that and gets right in Ospreay's face, telling him never to touch his World Championship belt... tensions are rising and the two look like they may come to blows... but arena security and AEW officials seperate champion and number one ranked contender before they do. 70

AEW LEAGUE
Timeless Ensemble (Orange Cassidy, Sami Zayn & Kenny Omega) v The Peak of Perfection (MJF, Drew Galloway & Jay White)

Interesting that two of Steve Austin's men were on opposite teams here, and when they were the legal men, they didn't hold back on each other. Star power abounded in this main event league match and there was no obvious favourite. That proved in the match as it ebbed and flowed, as one team gained an advantage, the other managed to regain it soon after.
The action was superb to watch. It ended conclusively in 17:33 when Zayn pinned White with a Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! to give Timeless Ensemble a valuable three points and also some momentum going towards Double or Nothing. 78 - match of the night
Cassidy 73, Zayn 78, Omega 81, MJF 81, Galloway 74, White 69
Cassidy benefitted from a hot new move.
Zayn benefitted from public support.
Galloway debuted a new comeback spot that got the crowd buzzing.

DYNAMITE
Wednesday, week 3, May 2024
U. S. Cellular Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa (6,900 capacity)
Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone

The Elite make their way to the ring to start this week's show. Matthew Jackson says they have important business to attend to... Nicholas Jackson says that The Elite are getting deserved title matches... The EVPs will be getting a World Tag Team Championship match... and 'Hangman' Adam Page will be getting a World Championship match... Page is about to speak when he is prevented from starting by the sound of shattering glass... Steve Austin makes his way to the ring and the Chief of Staff has the other EVP, Kenny Omega, with him... Austin gets a mic and says this bull shit is not happening... it's not how Austin works, it's not how AEW works... title shots are just handed out, they have to be earned... so Omega says that as EVP himself and as the Chief of Staff has implied, these title matches will not be happening... not tonight or any other night unless "Matt, Nick and Adam" earn them in the ring. The Elite are fuming as Omega's music hits. 71
Austin looked good.

JayLethal5.jpg.0d6f938013792fcef7155b22afe1f7c9.jpg v MattMenard.jpg.a6357abc6e9996738eae370342d7b20e.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Jay Lethal (with Sonjay Dutt) v Matt Menard

A good opening match and Lethal probably just about shaded it overall... However what could be considered an upset happened in 9:29 when Menard won by pinfall with an Elbow Drop. 56

Renee Paquette is backstage with Tessa Blanchard. Blanchard isn't happy... she says she didn't come to AEW to sit on the sidelines and watch the other women march on to get title matches when the Diamond doesn't even have one chance... Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. comes by and tells Blanchard she knows about sitting on the sidelines... she was forced to by a bad injury then left her a physical and a mental mess... but instead of crying about it, Baker says she worked her ass off in rehab and to get back into the AEW ring... so she challenges Blanchard to a match next week... and then she'll have a chance to prove herself... Blanchard eagerly accepts. 48

EddieKingston6.jpg.07f47c323594ac041f2cd79ae892bfa8.jpgJonMoxley.jpg.4d3295ac18e94f89e63b11b8ddf0a96e.jpg v KipSabian7.jpg.6cf5b43c139439ebed4885b65e6ae3f4.jpgBandido4.jpg.203ad0a995a2f2a681b200be6b6ae999.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley (World Trios champion)) v Team WooItsNathan (Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford) & Bandido)
A short match and an easy a league win as you are likely to see. Kingston pinned Bandido in 5:22 with a Huracan. 44
Moxley out performed everybody else (77, next best Kingston 66)

Dark Order are backstage, with the lighting dark with a purple hue. John Silver, Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno welcome Preston Vance back to the Order... Vance said he is happy to be back... Uno hugs him, and says it is time to now press on. 51

Sting2.jpg.87eb9331eb90b8befe470618755a4367.jpgDanhausen18.jpg.3265e8cfe5583452549c5d3fdc081acc.jpgSatnamSingh.jpg.8c74bb9334c4614379ab5448b20b01fb.jpg v Wardlow4.jpg.e65ddb39de5efc4f2eb8929e4ae6c90f.jpgJayWhite12.jpg.e323d3b6c308d58071f1f5f576863c29.jpgDrewGalloway5.jpg.577131e41aa35cc30fb43b20ea6f6a2c.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Spooky Club (Sting, Danhausen & Satnam Singh (with Sonjay Dutt) v The Peak of Perfection (Wardlow, Jay White & Drew Galloway

A second lopsided league contest of the match, though the action was pretty decent. Peak of Perfection got the expected win in 6:17 when Wardlow pinned Danhausen with a Powerbomb Symphony. 65
Galloway out performed everybody else (80, next best White 69)
Singh performed far worse than everybody else (28, next worst Sting 50)
Singh seemed off his game.
Wardlow was really off his game.
Galloway benefitted from a hot new move and really shone in the match.
Danhausen benefitted from public support.

Lexy Nair is backstage with her AEW League Report and for this edition she has with her TV Network. Will Ospreay and Tessa Blanchard agree with each other when they say there are certain members of the team who are more worried about how they look than how the team performs... Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie take exception to these comments and TV remarks that Ospreay has not exactly earned the team many wins himself... Matt Cardona, Jay Lethal and Trinity end up playing peace makers and calm the situation down. 48

Ortiz11.jpg.8707977bc5b573d6a768d2557da43d63.jpgRush.jpg.8c789693e8b8c0da63c9ba95cd643d11.jpg v DanteMartin.jpg.450e2591dc3dd50b7c09e67bfa8e94a7.jpgDariusMartin.jpg.55a38e0d9e24e13a8577c81f8ab0ec76.jpg
LAX (with Konnan, Santana, Sammy Guevara, El Hijo del Vikingo and Dralistico) v Top Flight (with Action Andretti)
LAX massively out number their opponents with support at ringside and it makes a difference as Top Flight are unsurprisingly distracted numerous times from ringside. This enable LAX to get the win in 10:22 when Rush pinned Dante with a Rush Driver. 64
Dante benefitted from a hot new move.

Alex Marvez is backstage and he says he is here to introduce the final four entrants into the Men's Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing... one by one he introduces into the segment Kenny Omega... Sami Zayn... Cash Wheeler... and Eddie Kingston... Omega and Zayn are tagging tonight in the main event, but that doesn't stop them, as well as Wheeler and Kingston, from saying they will win the Casino Battle Royal and earn the World Championship match. 65
Zayn benefitted from public support.

BrittBaker.jpg.ef3d2c819e31c23a596013e4f2ea4b58.jpg v Riho.jpg.1096e556a743de8f2b0f03643caa768c.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND
Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. (with Rebel) v Riho
Two former Women's World champions face each other in round two and it was the dentist who got through in a match that lacked real excitement. Baker advanced in 12:17 by pinfall. 50
Baker was penalised for being in extremely poor form.

Jim Ross is seen conducting a sit down interview between Women's World champion Jamie Hayter and the former champion who didn't lose the title, Toni Storm. JR thanks the ladies for agreeing to no physicality... and asks them for their thoughts ahead of their clash at Double or Nothing... Storm goes first, saying she didn't lose the title at The Big Gamble, it was stolen from her when Hayter beat somebody else for it, so at Double or Nothing she will get payback and get her title back... Hayter's response is that she never lost the title either... she had to give it up through injury... so winning the title back was what she deserved for months of pain and hard work and she's not going to lose it any time soon. 62

SamoaJoe6.jpg.d525cae22e7b3c586de3c2fa33046b29.jpgSantana9.jpg.45cac1505ddcee96c0b374ed3d906f38.jpgSwerveStrickland(2).jpg.b560df1ea83f5ea9b968457f942cca71.jpg v AdamCopeland.jpg.3343d6ef3c8540e18cbf24902b805230.jpgKonosukeTakeshita5.jpg.5576a59d09abc7c3fb5bb9c8563dcc5d.jpgMiro(5).jpg.f0c08cad7786ab8bd76c48c9a8c01d26.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve (Samoa Joe, Santana (with Konnan) & Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)) v Black Lotus (Adam Copeland (TNT champion), Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis) & Miro)

A much more even fight than the two earlier AEW League matches and one that was tough to call through the match. It was good and it was hard to take your eyes away. When the chips were down, Black Lotus emerged with the points in 13:03 when Miro submitted Santana with a Game Over. 70
Copeland seemed off his game.

Backstage and the World champion Bryan Danielson is with the number one ranked contender Will Ospreay. Their steadily rising tension among a war of words finally spills over into a fight as the two start trading blows. Claudio Castagnoli appears and ushers Danielson away from Ospreay, as arena security arrive on scene to hold Ospreay back. Castagnoli tells his Blackpool Combat Club team mate to save it for the title match, before telling Ospreay if he wants a fight so bad, he can have one on Collision on Saturday night... Ospreay's reply is "bring it on bruv". 67

KennyOmega.jpg.6eb9be977802cfbfba5671f006eb508f.jpgSamiZayn.jpg.d7fb882e1dde50044970e62e28ba048a.jpg v PentaEl0M17.jpg.d17a77a0eb291bdee8f6af5c314f065c.jpgFenix11.jpg.ca1b2270126f885910ee9fee64c41a38.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Timeless Ensemble (Kenny Omega & Sami Zayn) v The Golden Lion Club (Lucha Brothers (World Tag Team champions, with Alex Abrahantes))

Superb match, easily the best of the match. Lucha Brothers are clearly the best tag team in AEW right now, they are the champions after all, but here they were taken to the absolute limit by two great individuals. And the result might surprise some as the champions lost in 16:49 when Zayn pinned Fénix with a Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! 80 - match of the night
Zayn 78, Omega 81, Penta 85, Fénix 92
Fénix seemed off his game (yes, the road agent report said this despite him rating 92!!!)
Zayn benefitted from public support.
